"Hidan wakes up after a wild night, only to find himself in an uncomfortable and yet enticing predicament featuring a good looking stranger and the miracle of Jashin. And maybe both parties can get something out of this situation..."

Nauseating Darkness. That was the first thing Hidan perceived when he woke up. The feeling of a room, that you’re not even seeing, spinning.

He should have known that this would happen, after the hot bartender kept pouring drinks on the house before he could even finish them. It wasn’t his intention to get drunk off his ass, but free alcohol and shallow compliments from some goth chick can change a night quite quickly.

Reflexively, the man tried to turn to his side to soothe his nausea, only to feel a firm resistance on his wrists. The restrictive movement called his attention toward how cold he felt overall, and how fucking uncomfortable whatever he was laying on was. At the same time, he could hear some movement close to him come to a halt.

“Hey, hey, I’m not in the mood for some BDSM games, I think I’m gonna hurl.” He slurred and tested the restrains again. A gurgle crept up from his abdomen, and the suffocating darkness still wasn’t giving way to any light.

“What the fuck.” A deep voice echoed, definitely not from the cute bartender that Hidan had hoped he took home with him. It wasn’t a question, more of a baffled statement. The young man wasn’t a stranger to taking men home with him, but this was definitely not planned, and the unclear discomfort from his abdomen that stretched all the way to his sternum was enough of a boner-killer that he just wanted to get a shower and a prairie oyster.

“Dude, just, uncuff me, get this fucking blindfold off, and I promise I’ll write you a 3page essay apology for the missed sex or whatever.”

“What- No, stop. Listen closely to me.” The deeper voice came steadily closer, and Hidan was sure he could feel the warmth of another body inching closer to his. “I am not about to fuck your sorry ass. You had some real bad luck, and drew the interest of one of my clients, who paid me to remove your eyes and a couple of organs.”

The spinning inside of his head only got worse, and Hidan let out a confused groan. “The fuck is that supposed to mean?”

“There’s no blindfold, dumbass, your eyes are already sitting on my desk ready for pick-up. I don’t even know how or why you are alive; you’re probably banged up on some drug cocktail that cancelled mine out. But you’re going to bleed out any second. No hard feelings.”

Oh. He’s been tricked. Of course, free drinks are never truly free, but he’s never paid with organs before. First time for everything.

The pressure on his body became clearer to him now. He could feel the burning edges of an incision, reaching roughly from 1cm below his bellybutton up to the tip of his sternum, between the 6th and 7thrib. The foreign body that squirmed itself under his ribcage, wrapped itself with learned precision around his heart, that could only be a human hand.

“Can you not afford a bone saw like any other unlicensed doctor?” Hidan laughed and could feel the pressure on his lungs. Every muscle in his body slowly started to follow his command again, warming back up with steady relaxation and contraction.

“I don’t need to justify my expenses to a dead man talking. I don’t care about leaving a neatly chopped up body, and neither does my guy who’ll get rid of you after the job.” Something cold and sharp pressed against Hidans Aorta, a scalpel, he was sure. “Any last words?”

The pain from the incision gave way to a booming headache, itching and scratching the inside of his skull. Slowly, white spots came into his visions, like a night sky that revealed itself one star at a time. “Yeah, what’s your name, asshole?”

“…Kakuzu. Goodby-“Before he could finish his parting words, Hidan snapped his arms free of the leather straps that held him down, and he threw himself at the other man’s throat, toppling both of them to the ground. His eyes had fully reconstructed themselves, and away from under the surgery lighting, he could slowly take in his surroundings in dimmer light.

“This place is a fucking shithole.” The floor was dirty, the walls and even the ceiling were covered in dark stains, an oakwood desk near the wall was held together with layers of yellow-ed glue, next to it a beat-up office chair with scotch-tape adorned seating. His eyes wandered to the man he kept pinned below him, covered in Hidans spilled out lower intestine. “You’re not too bad though, damn.”

His hands were wrapped around the throat of a well-build man, probably a couple years older than him, with rich, sepia brown skin, black hair tied in a knot. He wore a surgical mask, but it couldn’t fully cover the ends of what was clearly a not yet fully healed Glasgow-smile. But what was most striking about Kakuzu were his eyes; His sclera was a dull red, and his Iris were a bright emerald green. “Why would anyone want my eyes when you’ve got the grand prize resting in your skull?”

Under Hidans firm grip, he could feel the strength Kakuzu had to use just to speak up. “What the fuck are you?”

“I’m my gods most favorite little bastard! Now, how about a little trade, ‘kuzu?” He shifted his weight off of the other man’s windpipe, just enough to let him breathe under a strain.

“What do you want?”

“My guts, ideally back where they belong. And in return- “He grabbed Kakazu’s hand, which until now had been busy digging his fingernails into the immortal’s arm, and guided it to Hidans restored eyes. “-I’m sure your client would go bonkers over two sets of eyes.”

There was a pointed silence between the two, Hidan grinning as his internal organs tried to work against the pull of gravity, tissue already trying to reconnect itself with a painful burning sensation. For a moment he thought that the incision would close over his exposed organs before he’d get a response.

“Get on the table. I’m not going to waste anymore anaesthetics on you though, or else I won’t turn enough of a profit.”

Hidan climbed back on the operation table, arms rested behind his head, legs crossed leisurely. “Money greed is a sin, y’know?”

“That’s fine by me, I’ll buy myself a VIP seat when I get there.” Kakuzu readied a medical sewing kit, and unceremoniously crammed Hidans intestines back into his abdominal cave, to which he squirmed in response, but snickered as well.

“It’s not too late to repent! Jashin takes every poor soul that knocks on his door with the correct offerings, and I have a feeling you’ve got what it takes. And I’m living, breathing proof of his miracles. Or else how will you explain all of…this?” He waved his hand around in the general direction of his eyes and his open wound, and Kakuzu swatted his hand away.

“I don’t know, I don’t care. Maybe you’re the result of a radioactive freakshow. Maybe I’m finally succumbing to asbestos poisoning. Now hold still or I will have to tie you back down again.”

“Kinky! Say, after you’re done stealing my eyes again, wanna grab some drinks?”

“Drinks is how you got into this situation in the first place.”

“I’m not regretting it~”

This earned him an eye roll, though more importantly, he realized Kakuzu didn’t say ‘No’ to his proposition. The surgeon finished the final stitches and gave his work a satisfied nod. He placed a glass jar, filled with some strange liquid, on a smaller table next to the operation table, and leaned in closer to Hidans head. “Now for the money-makers.”

“Wait-wait-wait, how are you gonna take ‘em out? You’re not just gonna snatch them out with your fingers, right?” Hidan fidgeted, though his manic grin didn’t falter. His chest was rising and falling heavily with rapid breathing, pulling at the fresh stitches.

“You really are an idiot. The eyes are too delicate and firm to be taken out like that. I’ll be using a tool that looks like a spoon, but has the sharpness of a scalpel, to basically scoop them out. Getting scared?”

“Are you kidding? I’m really getting excited now…”

Kakuzu huffed and placed one hand on the right side of Hidans face, using his thumb to pull the skin under his eye down. “No squirming, or I’ll take your teeth as collateral.”

“Don’t entice me, ‘kuzu.”

The sharp, cold tool slid smoothly between eyelids and eyeball, and without much resistance it curved into the eye socket and severed the optical nerves. In just a second, Hidans vision on his right side went black, and his heart beat violently against his chest. The pain was overpowering, searing, and exciting.

The surgeon dropped the disconnected eyeball into the formaldehyde jar, and switched hands to get a better grip on the left side of Hidans face. “Halfway done. Need a break?”

“Stop being a fucking tease…” Hidan breathed out, face flushed with excitement, fingernails helplessly scratching at the side of the solid table.

And without any further warning, the tool slid behind the second eyeball, severed nerves, and discarded it into the jar.

Back to nauseating darkness. All of Hidans other senses felt enhanced, he could smell the preserving chemical mixed with his fresh blood, he could hear the buzzing of the lamp above him, he licked his lips and tasted only his sweat, and most of all, he could feel the lingering warmth of Kakuzus hand still on his face, his thumb brushing over Hidans cheekbone.

“You’re a walking organ bank.” The younger man didn’t reply, too busy with catching his breath. “I could save money on anaesthetics and trying to lure idiots to operate on. I’d have any organ anyone could want – on demand.”

“I’m not gonna let you cut me open every day for free, yknow?”

And suddenly Hidan could feel hot breath ghosting over his ear, so close that cold shivers ran down his spine.

“Maybe I do have some free time for a couple drinks, and a little business talk.”

Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday

(Full disclosure, this is a chunk of a toshinko fic I wrote a few years ago purely for my own amusement. I may upload it someday, but I haven't decided on that front yet)

She almost turned his offer to escort her home down on the grounds that she was a Nobody and he was going to get swarmed with people asking weird questions.

She didn’t turn him down in the end.

Forever after, neither of them were sure how they’d fallen into discussing personal matters, especially when under normal circumstances neither would be caught dead pouring out their heart to a stranger. Perhaps she’d just needed the catharsis. Perhaps he'd needed the human connection. When they reached her little apartment at last -- at least Hisashi had stayed long enough to help her move -- All Might handed her the umbrella.

“Wh- no I can’t take- what about you?” Inko sputtered.

“Ahaha no worries! I’ll be right as rain!” All Might flashed a peace sign, then broke into muffled giggles. “Wow. That was horrible. I’m so sorry.”

Inko laughed, and All Might jumped away, and that should have been the end of it.

But it wasn’t.

A few weeks later Inko found a note taped to her door in the unmistakable handwriting of All Might.

Hoping there have been a few less rainy days in your life lately! :D 

There was even a small doodle of an umbrella with his distinctive eyebrows and smile.

After taking an hour or two to get over the sheer shock of All Might remembering her -- let alone where she lived -- Inko found herself sticking the note to her refrigerator.

Second-guessing herself the whole way, Inko taped a note of her own on her door, a short and sweet heartfelt thanks for him going out of his way to make sure she was alright, and listening to her complaining. After a moment’s hesitation, she added a doodle of her own. A rainbow with his smile.

The note stayed on her door for two days and Inko tried not to be disappointed. Logically she knew it was extremely unlikely that a hero of his caliber would even be in her city, let alone on this end of town, and even if he was, he’d be far too busy for social visits. (Why was she expecting All Might to make social visits?!)

On day three the note was gone and something else was in its place.

It wasn’t carefully written on blank paper this time. It was hastily done, as if on the spot, and on the back of what looked like a grocery list. Still, it was fairly obvious who it was from.

It was no trouble at all, please don’t worry about it! Truthfully, it was nice to get to just talk with someone like that. Actually, I don’t get to do that very often! :D

Oh lord. The baby. That’s right, she was pregnant. She was literally constructing a human being from scratch!

...okay, it sounded kind of metal when she thought of it like that.

Inko shuffled back inside to make a stiff cup of chamomile and figure out how to organize the very bizarre amount of money Hisashi had sent her. He was as broke as she was, probably, going to that exclusive medical school. But he'd somehow managed to scrape up enough in mismatched bills to cover at least two doctors' visits. And he'd sent a pack of pacifiers?

Bless his heart, but Fujioka Hisashi didn't know much about babies. Inko taped his "sorry I'm an idiot, can we still be friends" note up on the fridge. Then, after a moment's pause, she added the second note from All Might. 

Somehow, the notes became a regular thing after that. He started slipping them through the mail slot rather than taping them to the door, which was probably safer in the long run. And she started hiding hers under the mat, in a plastic bag.

She probably could have just sent the notes to his agency, like every other fan, but she worried that it would be lost among the hundreds of thousands of other letters.

Short “how are you” notes became mid-length “fought an umbrella themed villain today and thought of you, how are you?” notes. Sometimes Inko left letters about everything and nothing, talking about how she saw a flower blooming in a place it shouldn’t have been and it looked so hopeful there that she felt like everything was going to be alright. Sometimes she sent a favorite poem.

Once, about two months in, she’d just barely referenced rent and a doctor’s bill coming at the same time and within a week he’d sent her an envelope with a check to cover both. She’d been horribly embarrassed, and there was an awkward tension in the letters for a week or two until they settled the fact that she wasn’t looking for charity and he only wanted to help.

Three months of letters and Inko had begun to feel as though she knew the Symbol of Peace. Actually knew him. Oh, it was just a silly fantasy, of course, it had to be. No doubt he was barely sharing anything about himself, and he probably did this with other fans too. Or at least, she’d thought that until one of his letters questioned a mention of Mitsuki asking why she was happy all the time now and her not knowing how to answer. Hadn’t she told anyone about the letters?

No, actually, I never told anyone, Inko had written back, I’m not sure why. I’m sure this is a normal thing you do, since you’re so kind, but I can’t help worrying that some people will say nasty things about you if they find out you’re penpals with a pregnant lady. 

The response had come on the same day, a post-it note on her door in the space between getting off the couch and walking to the door. She’d just missed him, evidently.

Had to run, sorry for shortness, it said, But you’re the only one I write to. 

Inko had needed to sit down after that. 

The following morning there was a three page letter resting on the floor just under the mail slot. It was handwritten, as all the others had been, and expanded on the post-it note. All Might was writing to say that while he did try to personally answer fanmail, this wasn’t fanmail. This was a correspondence with a friend (at least, he hoped it was, he was pretty sure it was, he wasn’t trying to overstep any boundaries or anything--). That he felt that he’d come to know her as a person in the last three months, that he looked forward to getting her notes every week. That he didn’t want to make her uncomfortable, not ever, but perhaps it would be best if at some point they could meet and discuss things in person so there were fewer chances of misunderstandings?

Inko had to read it six times before it sunk in that All Might was asking to meet her. All Might was asking to meet her! She was in a daze all through her commute to work and most of the way through her workday. Her boss was forgiving enough to chalk it up to pregnancy and simply remind her to actually answer the phones when they rang. When her lunch break came, Inko wandered down to a small grocery store on the same street as her office -- much better prices than the one in her neighborhood, but an hour was a long trip just for groceries so she tended to use the other store. Still in a bit of a fog, Inko didn’t notice until too late that the canned fruit she was looking for was on a shelf much much higher than she could actually reach.

She could’ve just used her quirk to get it down, but...well, unlicensed public quirk use was illegal, no matter how impractical that was. Inko stretched up with one hand, keeping the other hand on her stomach. The baby apparently disapproved of this sudden movement and was rolling around. He liked it when she was walking, not so much when she was stretching. (And still she hadn’t picked a name for him. She’d tried a few, but nothing seemed to stick.)

“Here, let me-!”

Someone reached up over her head and brought down the can. At first glance, out of the corner of her eye, Inko almost mistook him for All Might. But that was ridiculous, right? His hair was wild and curly, all save two long bangs he’d sort of let flop loose in front of his face. And while he was definitely muscular, he didn’t quite seem to have the same level of definition as All Might. Very close, though. Inko realized she was staring at him and blushed bright red. 

“S-sorry! You didn’t have to do that!” she stammered as he handed her the can.

“Well I didn’t want you to get hurt,” the man said with surprising sincerity, “Sorry if that was awkward haha I’m...bad at social things.”

And that was Inko’s introduction to Yagi Toshinori. He’d clumsily introduced himself and then dashed off blushing the moment her back was turned. Odd fellow. There’d been something strangely familiar about his eyes, though, and she just couldn’t place it. They looked almost like...nah. Couldn’t be.

Four weeks later, one of her neighbors asked her about “the buff American-looking guy” who slipped letters through her door at weird hours and Inko had an epiphany. If it was All Might, they’d have seen All Might. And probably called the presses. But the things in the letters were things that only All Might would know unless someone else had been reading her letters. With shaking hands, she wrote her next letter and slipped it under the mat.

If I met you while you were off the clock, would I still recognize you? 

If she hadn’t been sore and unwilling to move from the couch, she would have waited by the door to see if she could catch her mystery penpal. She fell asleep there, waiting, and didn’t wake up again until her phone alarm went off the next morning to tell her to get ready for work. Grumbling, Inko showered, changed, and managed some form of breakfast. The baby really really hated miso and natto, so she’d been sticking to things like eggs and yogurt and citrus. 

“Come on kid, I miss soup,” Inko groaned as she shoved an orange into her purse for later and bolted. She almost stepped on the folded piece of paper at the door. Already running late, she stuck it into her purse and didn’t even look at it until hours later that day.

Well, you would now, was all it said.

Silver In The Sea (Julian Devorak! Pirate x Mermaid! Reader)

Summary: A year into his travels at sea, Julian Devorak is faced with the highs and lows of sailing across the southern sea; facing the dangers that come with it. As a physician, he is given many opportunities to live out the days in surviving for himself - especially against many things that want him dead.

Notes: I will try to get the character of Julian as best as I can. Mentions of blood, injury, near-drowning experiences. Julian likes to talk his way out of everything, nearly costing him to lose his tongue.

Silver In The Sea Prologue (Storms Swell)

The winds howled and blew with defiance, the chaos that swirled and twisted the world around it into its grasp; on set for destruction. 

A storm bigger than the ones ever seen across the southern sea had set its course for havoc, creating an off-balance for all those that were in its way.

Screams and shouts for lack of order could barely be heard through the commotion and screams of the sea's revenge, and Julian's ears rang like bells playing its heavy toll in his mind. 

He had heard those bells before, setting off the unknown memories of hearing the mark for dread: a dead monarch, a city under siege, he had been there for many.

Through the eye of the storm, the rain slashed and cut through men like they were fishes ready for gutting, and Julian had never seen such a storm so bad in the time he had been sailing for new adventures. 

Eliana's Song - named after one of the old King's daughters aeons ago- was a highly treasured and hefty vessel; with high sails and large a hull wider than any of the other spice ships he had seen. 

She was a mighty vessel, able to block off attacks and last through years without being destroyed from the weather, but Julian thought that the Gods must've been joking and acting cruelly for this day to finally see to both to bring it down. They were being under attack by both weather and men from another ship; looking to steal and kill and sink her to a watery grave.

How shameful. Julian thought, ducking as a collision from the pirate's cannon caved into the right side of the ship. I was wanting to see this beauty come back into port in the near summer.

"Devorak, you're needed." The quartermaster spoke over the screams that definitely told him that someone was injured: a man screaming more than just bloody murder. Julian didn't need to reply, stepping out with one weary look into the open as he ran with his supplies into the firing range. 

The rain poured and nearly sent him flying to the ground, but he managed to plant himself in time to miss a rumble from the bowels of the vessel, sending over men to the floor.

"Hold on, old friend, stay with us." Julian's voice was borderline on calm for the entire situation, kneeled before the man as the rain-soaked and washed the injurer's blood away. 

He didn't know why he was all so positive in this situation, he was risking his life for a man who already had his right foot blown off, laying in his own blood and those of his crew.

He had seen many deaths before, many during a crisis like this: failing to save another's life when he thought so little of his own. It made him wonder why he was so selfless, for being an unlicensed doctor was there to help others.

Following procedures like clockwork, Julian shut the man up with some cloth that he had ripped from his shirt, stuffing it in his mouth as he tried to concentrate over the sounds of other dying men and cannons flying in all directions. 

He assessed his wound, using as much cloth to stop the bleeding, blood already seeping in through it and staining his gloved hands.

The smell of ash was strong in the air, and Julian had grown used to the smell of bodies around him but never was a smell so foul as a body caught on fire. 

He looked over, the shouts of his name being called around him-- no- screaming at him to get on with helping another with lesser injuries. "He's a dead man." He had heard so often, he could know when it would be said.

Julian looked to the man as he was slowly succumbing to blood loss, and he moved on, sending a silent prayer to him as he crawled hands and knees through blood, guts and corpses. There was no time to pray for the dead, not like this. He thought.

"Sir, there are men needing help down in the gallery, shall I attend to them?" Julian leaned into a fallen piece of the mass, leant with the First Mate. 

"They'll be dead before the sun even rises Devorak. Stay on deck and above. I'm not going to lose an idiot of a doctor like you. The Gods may be cruel, but they will be crueller if they take you with them."

Julian would've laughed at the comment, or perhaps compliment, laughter yet mirthless in the situation. "When this is over, I'll buy you a drink, how does that sound Doctor? Just to laugh and say we survived a shipwreck and pirate onslaught."

"A pint of salty bitters will suffice me, Sir." Julian had missed the taste of it, trying to remember when he had had it last. At 2 am in a pub during his time training. All there was on board was salty crackers and warmed rum lying in the sun, and that didn't serve him to satisfaction at all. 

"Gods you may outrun your damn mouth, but one would have to be a half-wit to know of your skills." Praised the quartermaster, an unknown conviction and feeling to know what to mean of it.

A crash from the far end of the ship caught their attention, smoke rising as Julian thought the deck was beginning to feel unbelievably hot. 

"Water is coming in from the hull Sir!" The physician heard from who knew where, as the vessel groaned with the knowledge of its end. 

"Then let's give the fuckers a fight then! Do not cease fire!"

The sky cracked with a fire above and Julian saw how much it lit up the entire dark sky. A flash of the neighbouring vessel attacking them, smoke filling his lungs as well as sea salt. 

He wasn't believing he was dying today, oh no-- Eliana's Song was a strong one, and she wouldn't go down without a fight. Another crash and a churn of something came from both ends, and Julian groaned with it. "Sir, most of our cannons have been destroyed or sunken!"

"Prepare to evacuate ship! She's a goner, gentlemen. Prepare the dinghy."

Rain and sea salt scratched at the side of Julian's face, as he blinked back the saltiness from his grey eye. He wasn't crying - the last time he believed he cried was when he was saying farewell to Pasha, and she had cried an ocean for him that day. So much so that he had cried with her in their embrace goodbye as she begged him not to leave:

"Don't leave me Ilya, please."

Only the Gods knew how long ago he had seen her last: way when he was setting off to begin a career as a doctor in Prakra when he was saying goodbye to his humble town of Nevivon. 

They had both been young, too young to know of the consequences to life and what trauma would be followed. She had been young but would she recognised him now? Smiling brightly as he made his way back to port and hug and cry when they saw each other? 

He had forgotten of the past life he once lived, where he lived with Pasha and they were both happy. But Julian wanted more to life and he wished to not look back, or else he would become lost. 

A smiling younger sister is who I want to see again. He thought glumly, as the carnage continued to ensue around him. I'm not going to die today, not until I see her, or else I've failed her and me.

He toppled over abruptly when another cannonball hit the middle, a spray of bodies flying from the drastic hit as more things caught on fire. 

Men were evacuating, some hoping that the sea would save them as they jumped overboard. There was a deafening cry from all around him, and Julian wished he had been smarter than to risk his life jumping overboard too.

He could hear his name being shouted at from those around him, those calling him for his aid, others screeching for him to get his dramatic hind off the now-sinking ship. He was useless to both he thought, standing to his height as he looked around with one of his good eyes.

The final strike from either the lightning or from the ramming ship was enough to cease the vessel's journey to beneath the waves, as she cracked merely in two if those could witness it from afar. 

Her entire vessel shook, sending men over the rails as they were trying to get as many on the dinghy as possible. If Julian was to survive this, he was not thinking in Hell he would be surrounded by other men on a small crowded boat.

Even looking down, the waters were blackened, as if Hell was awaiting for every crew member and himself. He hesitated for a second before the ground split just below his feet.  

An opening of an opportunity arose and Julian took it, leaping down as the gap grew larger and larger, water swelling into the cracks as men fell and burned. The fall was long and Julian could hear those of the crashing waves waiting to meet him as he landed, the cold taking over his body when it hit him.

He crashed beneath the waves in a frantic crawl, kicking and pushing as all he could see beneath the waves was darkness and sinking bodies. 

There was debris falling in, large pieces of wood that he had to be careful of as he finally breached the surface, gasping as if it had been his first intake of breath in a long time.

Men are dying up there, and here I am, being a coward, not dying beside them. He thought, trying to attempt to swim as he watched in horror, the dingy that was coming down with the ropes caught fire, toppling those inside backwards as they fell into the water, crashing and not resurfacing. 

He gulped wiping at his brow as he looked around him. A sea for a group of innocent men, not ready to die in the graveyard of water below.

"Oh gods, the mast! Watch out!" Julian gaped in horror as he stared up into the sky, the largest mast was caught alit with everything else, titling so closed off as the flames caught it to tilt. 

The dread was something that made Julian Devorak's body kick into overdrive, scrambling to kick at all his long limbs as the mast grew exponentially closer and closer as it fell like a lead weight.

The doctor made a descent under, trying to pull his long body down and down as far as he could get himself to go, his head looking up to see just in time the massive piece to come crashing with a roar in the sea, sinking quicker than Julian could expect.

A piece snagged onto the corner of his shirt, and Julian would've groaned in the discomfort and pain when a long slash came to the back his lower back, his shirt ripping as he struggled to release himself. 

No, I will not die. His mind was in two parts, tugging at his conscious as he was growing desperately short of breath the longer he was down there. His mind always went back to a smiling Pasha, awaiting him to see him, but her smile dropping quicker when there was no sign of him getting off.

He finally released himself from the piece of broken wood, his lungs feeling as if they had caught fire as he tiredly carried his body to the surface. His eye stung with salt, his throat burning as he spluttered and coughed. 

"Anyone alive! Help me! Can anyone hear me?" His voice called over the water as the dying sounds of men quietened. Eliana's Song cried a final woeful tune as she began to sink beneath the black waves.

Julian gritted his teeth, kicking as he grabbed a piece of debris to use as a float, his hand going back and past the open skin, grunting in surprise as to what when he pulled back was blood stained on his fingers. 

Oh, Gods. He barely panicked, but seeing himself injured gravely was one that made him think to what could be in the water awaiting him with an empty tomb for himself.

The sea was known for sharks and sometimes krakens- men were always creative in thinking of tales of the large creatures that could pull ships over and under. Sea dragons that belonged more in the northern sea, with breath colder than hot, able to freeze over a vessel on the spot. 

It wasn't the krakens or the sea dragons that worried him- he had heard story after story told to him and he grew almost bored from them.

He looked down and surrounding him, and the black water had a reddish tint to it, staining his open and cut shirt as he tried to stay awake even when he knew he wasn't tried in that way. 

He eventually decided it was better to try and see how far possibly he could've been from land, but there was no islands nor anything but open dark water surrounding him, the sky with litters of stars pouring in in his sight. 

He blinked slowly, just staring up into the night sky with no thoughts coming to mind than to just make it out alive. Julian was desperately floating, his head pounding with an unknown headache that was appearing. He blamed it on the rum that night before the attack.

His head bobbing up and down in the water, as he thought maybe it was better to see whether he should let go. He was leagues away from land, with possible injuries that could get infected without proper treatment. He smiled a pained smile, chuckling at how worthless he felt in this moment. 

Pasha... I'm sorry. He succumbed, his head falling beneath the waves as he sunk and sunk and sunk.

He waited for his death, blinking with red eyes in the water as he thought of how his sister would find out of the news, her reaction and whether she would mourn like how he would believe or not she would for him.

Movement caught him to turn, through the shadowy and onyx abyss, something silver flashed in his peripheral vision. So sharks did exist, excellent. He would've laughed at that moment as he was finding it harder and harder to breathe. Be gentle to me, and don't ruin my face to recognition, so they can at least bury me in a marked grave.

He shut his eye, blinking in and out of consciousness, and that night, Julian Devorak thought he had died. What awaited him in a dream-like euphoric state was a hangman that awaited with a noose in its grip. 

"Traitor, murderer, and you call yourself a doctor. You practise and play roulette with other's lives instead of helping them."

He was swallowed into death's gullet, ravens and crows with humanoid features awaiting him, like the clawed and scratched at his flesh, screaming for him to die. "Awaits your truth worthy doctor. A special place in Hell for you."

He was burned, cut apart and eaten limb by limb as he watched, but he thought of it all as a worthy punishment. All for the crimes and tests that he failed in succeeding. All those lives, men who deserved a better chance at surviving. He was given chance after chance to help someone, and only did he get one out of a thousand casualties that lived.

When he had awoken, he wasn't in some seventh Hell, nor some version of it as punishment. He wasn't even in the sea anyone, drowning slowly as he waited to be feasted on by sharks. 

He had awoken to a blinding light in his eye, causing him to grow in confusion and pain; a headache worse than any of the hangovers he had experienced before. He adjusted to the pain, questions tumbling through his head to make him question how the hell he ended up out of the water and was not in fact dead.

Was this some afterlife or reality he knew of already? He couldn't decide, even when everything he touched felt so real. There was warm sand beneath him, burning his flesh pink and stinging his back, almost forgetting about the wound that seemed so real. 

There was pain everywhere in his body, and when he stretched to prop himself up, he found himself surrounded by a white beach, water and tropic trees surrounding in the middle.

He had found himself onto an island, but wait? It had seemed that he was miles out from land, and unless he was loopy from blood loss or he had managed to swim unconscious, there was no believing he had managed to do this whilst badly injured.

They won't believe this story when I tell them this in pubs. He groaned silently, the clear blue water stretched and never-ending, nothing there for him to see. If I manage to make it back.

Standing up took longer than he expected, his legs were congealed like jelly, replacing his bones with paper as he crashed into the sand below on his first step. His entire body feels like it was on fire; drenched in flames that he couldn't get out from. 

Tired grunts and moans came the back of Julian's throat, a moment to press his hand to the wound on his back. From the feel of it, it didn't seem too deep, but it was longer than he expected, managing to get him from all the way around just to the beginning of the band of his trousers.

When he pulled his hand back, his fingers were slick with fresh blood.

I've survived sieges and attacks, seen more dead than those alive. I've lived with pirates who threatened me with my own life and head. He told himself. A little blood will not kill me. 

But he had to begin healing said wound, or else it could worsen and bring his health to something more life-threatening. Staggering halfway as best as he could on his feet then crawling, Julian dragged himself through the sand towards the edge of the water, clear and cold it felt as if it was cleansing his soul.

Step by step, he took it slow, knowing already of the even further pain he would feel once the water got to waist depth. But he thought of the outcome if he didn't as he lowered himself as the saltwater met the wound.

No amount of pain could amount to what he was experiencing, and now he understood what his patients felt when they were in pain. He barked out a laugh, airy as he hissed through his teeth. 

For some reason, the pain made him think to Asra; the magician he knew from the years working in medicine before going off to explore. He would call me some sadistic bastard for liking the pain so much. He huffed, trying to shake his head away from the thought.

A splash came from behind him, as Julian wadded through the water to turn, looking outward towards the deep end. The water grew murkier from what he could see, and he didn't know what was possible out there watching. 

Another splash came, and he squinted, a flash of clear silver slithered like a snake through the abyss of the water, not even that far from him.

He never got out of the sea as quick as that ever before. 

For his wound, he tried to find simple things, for there were no balms to put into the wounds, but the saltwater had helped in cleaning it out thoroughly. He ended up gathering wet seaweed and wrapping it heavily around his entire waist.

By the time Julian walked back to the shore, his clothes were soaked, heavy and clung to him and the sun was setting low on the horizon. He would have to make a fire quickly before he caught a chill. 

Looking for sticks and materials to start a fire was harder than he realised, and he rethought his career ideas in becoming a survivalist rather than a doctor. Stripping out of his cold clothes, he set up camp not too far from the water, starved from food and lack of water, he sat by the fire, rethinking his choices.

He would think there would be barely a few ships that would be passing through, but he could only hope there would be another spice ship that could pick him up and take him somewhere. And anywhere for it didn't matter where he went.

The cold had settled into his bone, a primal hunger for food had made him think he was going to begin to lose his mind, so he decided to try and calm himself, thinking of a nice cup of black coffee and a plate lobster claws.... hmmm. How his stomach rumbled for that luxury.

He laid outstretched like he had gotten shot, lying on his side as he stared idly into the dying flames. The same sound of something popping its head out of breaching the water came from not too far from him, making him shoot up more abruptly when he remembered the pain in his back. 

A gurgle came from the water plopping and swishing, and he caught the same coloured silver fish's (?) tail turning over in the shallow sand bed to return to the depths of the water. It could've been a shark for all he knew, circling for him and waiting.

Whatever that thing was, it looked big, and Julian's mouth watered at the thought of eating a large silver shark or swordfish to feast on. Next time, you'll get it, and you'll regret dealing with Julian Devorak. He promised himself.

He went to sleep that evening sprawled on his side, blinking in and out of sleep as he finally came to stare out just into the shore, before he heavily shut his eye, missing the creature's head bob up and dive back out of sight, its tail silver and long, flickering out and disappearing.

this functions as a key to all of my wips, including ones i don’t actively write but still work on occasionally. in case you didn’t know, all of my wips include: poc, LGBT+ characters, disabled and non-neurotypical characters, found families, usually fantasy elements because i love magic, and often a little romance (which is usually accompanied by found families or tragedy, but for my romance-repulsed friends, there are still stories with no romance!)

Painted Cards: a group of teenagers end up criminals after a magical goddess chooses them for greatness. instead of embarking on some epic adventure, they decide to save the world another way: through kindness and coffee. a story about a found family made up of unintentional criminals with trauma that they’ll learn to cope with. mostly written for myself, but also written for the people in my life who needed to see characters like them have a happy ending. a very hopeful, fantasy slice-of-life story.

*Faye and Fate: almost everything i write is exposition or a result of this 5 book series. Aralion Faye resets the timeline so often it all just blurs together. with each new on she creates, she watches the ones she loves die over and over again, as if it’s all a video game culminating up to that game over screen. things always start out so innocently, too; her memories never return until later, so for a while, she enjoys attending a magic school, falling in love, playing pranks, befriending her peers. by the end of the year, the world comes back to remind her that her happy ending is unachievable. between traitors, corruption, fires, and cliffs... this time has to be different. this time she’ll save everyone she loves. is overall a story about heroes of all types. love this series so much abhddvk. magic is based on skills/interests: art, writing, engineering, astronomy, directing, zoology, architecture, makeup art, etc

*Mortals Versus Morals: (this isn’t actually the title but it makes me laugh so it’s being used as the placeholder) Glen is 17, rich, sheltered, and possibly the most lawful good person ever. plot twist- there’s a prophecy predicting his (as well as 6 others’) involvement in the end of the world, and they aren’t on the good side. Glen struggles to balance saving the world from villains while trying not to become a villain himself. includes: road trips and bonding, scenes like the one where the aro-ace friend gets seduced by a nine-tailed fox who runs a Burger King, everyone educating Glen on cultures and respecting pronouns :) as well as the occasional choking angst that comes with a bunch of almost adults getting dragged into the business of gods. did i mention there are gods? there are gods. i do kill a love interest of a protag but then give them TWO romantic partners because i’m not a coward (i feel like the characters who lose a love interest end up in a poly relationship most often in my stories... as a sort of apology to them lmao). also Utah? basically stops existing at some point. magic is based off a deity someone worships, with worship comes borrowed magic. the characters themselves are basically just omnists? 

Beneath Our Skin: Sam and Ana don’t know each other. it’s by chance that they’re separated from their class during a field trip, and end of wandering straight into a portal to another world, one with magic. while searching for a way home, they accidentally make their own- in the meantime, they’re gonna find a magician who can give Sam a shapeshifting spell because Sam would really like to transition, even if it’s through magical means, please. written for me and my fake-brother, so lots of being platonically domestic and also sarcastic... this is in a really poetic writing style too.

House of Crabs: this is not the name it just makes me giggle so placeholder time! contemporary, no romance or fantasy or anything (although like one crime is committed but life is life that). here’s the old summary: Siera lives in the mansion of thirty year old Janelle, a woman who has the tendency to take in stray children, granting them shelter despite their tragic backstories or strange personalities. When one of the outcasts, Roy, is confronted by his biological brother, Roy is absolutely horrified by the concept of being dragged back to his transphobic family. The outcasts are dead set on protecting him, even if it requires breaking laws. But Roy's brother doesn't seem that content on harming Roy or bringing him home against his will. Instead, the boy seems more interested in coming out of the closet, hoping that his little brother and his new family can help him learn how to be his true flamboyant self. 

>Obligatory Superhero Stories (3 stories):  ----Lei is supposedly a civilian, until she arrests the man who ruined her life and accidentally ends up adopting his daughter, Hera. Hera coerces her into adopting her classmate Jason. the two get kidnapped. Lei gets annoyed by how useless she is in saving them, and becomes the first non-mutant superhero. in the meanwhile, the US Secretary of Powers, Victoria, is forced to monitor her progress for a court case deciding whether this is legal, and accidentally falls in love. Hera fucks with journalists and enjoys being politically smarter, Jason attempts to create a ground-breaking technology and blows up hundreds of phones, and Victoria never sleeps. literally. her superpower is just,,, no sleeping. ----Vessa becomes a superhero by accident. it involves art galleries, snow, and unlicensed doctors. now, she operates under an alias, the hero Froze (very creative, yes), alongside her trusted sidekicks. unbeknownst to Vessa, she has a history with the villain she’s fighting, and their teams may be more entangled outside of their aliases than first believed. basically, an enemies to family (and some lovers) story, involving a lot of morally grey shenanigans thanks to a corrupt society. ----there’s a villain on the lose, know as Heart-twist, with the ability to take someone’s darker emotions and intensify them. in reality, Sora is just a teenage girl, with four dear and near friends. it’s been a year since her sister’s boyfriend, a hero, prioritized glorious battle over rescue, and her sister died alone and afraid. Sora is just waiting to make him fall in love with her, so she can repay the favor.

>Paint Me a Picture: dystopian future! roughly 78% of the population is monochromatic, and can only see in shades of grey. it seems petty in plain sight, but jealousy has left the other 22% segregated, separated by a boundary and sinking in poverty. Pristaline is apart of the majority, privileged without even realizing it- her biggest concern is making herself a future in law. a car accident leaves her in a recover home near the boundary, where she accidentally meets Jackson, a color-seeing boy, who calls her eyes ���blue.’ the encounter sparks a revolution. this is a sadder story- it ends with a girl, watercolor swatches, and a grave.

*Run From Wolves: Elayna is unfortunate enough to be a magic-born in the one kingdom that still prosecutes female magic-borns (to which she says, fuck their religion for saying women shouldn’t have magic). when she and her half-brother Shage are discovered, instead of being executed, Elayna is offered a position beside her brother in the kingdoms prestigious Goddess Guard. the offer comes with a price: they must swear allegiance to the king, and can do him no harm. luckily, a pretty spy from a neighboring kingdom offers Elayna a loophole. includes spirit animals, political intrigue, lesbians, murdering an asshole king, and a secret mystery involving immortality and wolves.

*Twin Kingdoms: there’s an island floating in the sky- two, now, split in half down the center. Melony and Serena have known about the conflict between their kingdoms, but they never really realized it’s intensity until Melony’s older brother close friend betrayed her and seized the throne for himself, pitting her kingdom against Serena’s and searching for war. Melony and Serena are able to escape together, living in disguise and biding their time before they can retake what belongs to them. has a really fun character who’s a villain (she’s the traitor brother’s little sister), gets stuck with an injury, is healed by a girl in an enemy village, and struggles to reaffirm her beliefs while vaguely falling in love. sighhhhhh i miss this series

*Where Shadows Bloom: written during the time of my life where i loved badass assassins becoming queens or princess... despite the trope being looked down upon, i hold this dear to my heart. basically, there’s a period of turmoil throughout the entire planet. on one end of the world, the queen is assassinated by a girl aiming to use her throne to destroy her noble parents, an underground group seeks to end slavery through magical battles and underhanded deals, and an orphan boy is made king. on the other side of the world, a second world war rages, pitting the Gold Alliance (good guys) against the Silver Alliance (bad guys). a princess goes undercover, venturing into a captured kingdom to spy on opposing forces. she’s taken in by an engineer/pilot who helps her stay in disguise as she uncovers the nefarious plot that involves the prosecution of an entire people. it all ties in together.

*Fateless: i really can’t get enough of magic and princesses, huh. ever wonder what Arthurian mythology would be like if it was in my world? Raine’s family has known tragedy after tragedy, from the death of her uncle, then aunt, her brother, and finally, her parents. fate has left her alive to inherit their throne when she comes of age. still, even she is cursed, wearing a ring that burns her with the pain of her people. she doesn’t wince anymore, not even when she watches another witch burn at the stake, and feels the flames crawl up her body, phantom but so, so real. when her kingdom falls, Raine and her most trusted knights are forced to flee into the woods. there, they find a tavern alongside a their road, run by a mysterious woman named Lancelin. there’s something familiar about the woman, something from Raine’s past, and something strange about the way that each of her customers leaves with healed minds and bodies. secretly-enemies to secretly-lovers! as common with me...

Pint-sized arcade cabs, available this fall for $400. They’ll come unassembled, though dead simple to put together; the construction of the assembled mini cab was surprisingly sturdy, plus the screen wasn't bad (contrary to the picture that my iPhone's camera paints). My Fair Lady. - 02.

Summary: Julian Devorak’s a shady, unliscensed doctor, on the run from something secret. At The Fair Lady, Vesuvia’s replicated Victorian music hall, he meets Gloria Morgenstern, the singer and ‘Fair Lady’ of the hall. What happens next unfolds chapter by chapter.... (A Modern Au thing for The Arcana)

... That sounded better in my head but here’s chapter two!! I managed to finish this before having to get ready to march at another football game, lmao thanks playoffs (not really). Enjoy it, guys!

Chapter 1 is here!

Was this a good idea? In retrospect, no. Was he going to do it anyway? Absolutely.

The other patrons had meandered off from the door, leaving gift cards and flowers and all sorts of things. Julian had waited for them to leave, naturally, so he could do much the same. But he wanted to see her in person. He was a doctor, after all. If she’d been hurt, he’d need to look at it.

His hand knocked on the door of her dressing room, under the star shaped nameplate with “The Fair Lady” written in script.

“Go away!” Barked the voice from inside. Her voice.

Now or never, Ilya.

Julian clears his throat, speaking plainly. “Miss… um, Gloria, right? This is… the eyepatched man from earlier. I want to talk to you.”

He hears her sigh dramatically, “No I don’t want your number, no I won’t go out with you, and no, I’m not for sale. Bye.”

“Miss Gloria, please. I’m a doctor.” He tries again, “I want to make sure you’re alright after earlier. You need to let me in.”

That shuts her up. Julian holds his ground, staring at the silent door- and after a moment, it opens. Gloria’s missing her mask, and in its place are a pair of oval glasses. She scrutinizes him under her gaze, bottom lip jutting out in thought.

“... Fine. You can come in.”

“Thank you.”

She opens the door and gestures him into the small dressing room. A vanity mirror and dresser is on the furthest wall, next to a small bed and a white, wooden folding screen is off to the other side of it. A small desk littered in papers of writing and sheet music hides behind it. Julian takes a seat on the edge of the bed, and Gloria sits back down at the chair of her vanity.

“So… a doctor, huh?” She asks, and Julian nods.

“Indeed. Where he threw you… are you sure it’s alright?”

The singer waved her hand dismissively. “It’s just a bruise on my side. Hurts a little, but I don’t think I broke anything.”

“May I see?”

She blinks, owlishly. “Um… if you’re alright with me taking my dress off… I mean…”

Against his better judgement, Julian’s face flames crimson, and she giggles behind a gloved hand. “Uh, naturally. It’s fine.”

“A shy one, aren’t you?” Gloria snorts. “Could just be my years of theatre that’s made me used to undressing in front of people. You’re… sure you’re ok with it?”

“Y-Yes, it’s fine.”

She rises then, sliding her gloves off and throwing them haphazardly onto the messy vanity, before reaching behind her to fiddle with the bow on the back of the belt of her dress and the zipper. Julian’s gaze bears hot into the gloves, feeling his face grow redder with the second. How embarrassing! He’s supposed to be a professional.

…. Well, an unlicensed professional, but still a professional.

Gloria slides the dress off of herself, revealing a silk slip under it, finally pushing the top of that down too. “Right there, on my side.”

His gaze moves quickly from the gloves to the purplish mark on her side, rising from the bed and placing a hand on it. “Here, let me know if that-”

“GLORIA MICHELLE MORGENSTERN!!”

Both the singer and the doctor scream and whip around, jumping, only to find a red-faced Miss Liverstone standing in the now open doorway, mouth open almost comically.

“WHAT IN GOD’S NAME ARE YOU DOING?!” She shrieks like a banshee, and Gloria yanks her slip back up, face turning nearly as red as Julian’s. Said doctor is suddenly approached by the lady, one fat finger jabbed at his beak like nose, “AND JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, SIR, TOUCHING MY GIRL LIKE THAT-”

“Agnatia!” Gloria yells suddenly, and Liverstone looks at her, “He’s a doctor! We weren’t doing anything!”

“A doctor?!”

“Yes!” She fumes, sliding the slip off to reveal the bruise again. Julian buries his face in his hands, ashamed. “See here?! That jackass I punched to high heaven did this to me! This guy…” a thumb jab at the redhead, “was only seeing how bad it was! You know I don’t do that kind of… thing!”

Liverstone frowns as Gloria pulls her slip back up, gaze shifting from the singer to the doctor. “Are you sure that was all?”

“Yes, Agnatia.”

“It’s just… there was that Asra fellow-”

Julian’s eyes widen.

“Asra and I are just friends,” Gloria sighs, “for the hundred and seventy fifth time, Agnatia.”

“Fine… he was just cute, is all.”

Gloria groans, before Liverstone folds her arms, small gaze staring hard up at the man in the room. “And what’s your name, doctor?”

“... Ilya.” He says after a moment; he’d dare not say Julian because of his wanted status. “I’m not really from around here. You see, my normal tavern is undergoing repairs, and I came here after I saw an ad for Miss Gloria’s show, and I thought I’d just… stop in. I wasn’t expecting my services to be needed.”

“... Very well,” Agnatia says after a moment, before turning back to Gloria, “He may be cute, but make sure that checking your bruise is all he does.” And with a final nod, she leaves, shutting the door behind her. Julian stares after the old woman, aghast, before whispering, in case she was standing outside the door:

“... Is she always like that?”

Gloria snorts, before bursting into laughter. “Oh yea. All the time. I’m pretty much not allowed to be around men unless she approves of them. How she managed to like Asra, I have no idea…”

The doctor winces internally at the mention of Asra’s name again, and opts not to press anything about it. How she knew his ex, of all things, was absolutely beyond him. Instead, as Gloria removed her slip, he pressed into her bruise with his fingers. It was a few moments later when he deemed it alright.

“It really is just a bruise,” he said as Gloria flopped back into the vanity seat, crossing her legs.

“I told you, silly Ilya.” WIth a smirk, she added on, “Or, is it Doctor Ilya?”

“Just… Ilya.” He says with a breath, nodding at the singer. “Thank you for an interesting evening, my dear.”

“You’re absolutely welcome, Ilya.”

The shiver down his neck when she said his name- twice, in fact- was natural, right? Julian gave the slightest shake of his head, barely a twitch, before he bowed at the waist, presenting a single red rose from a slight of hand trick. She gasped.

“For a stunning performance this evening, Miss Gloria.”

And he was gone as quickly as he’d arrived, her eyes following him out.

Music box part one

Fandom: Torchwood. Trigger warnings: None as far as I know but feel free to suggest. Characters: Owen Harper, Toshiko Sato, Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones, Gwen Cooper, Elise Carter (oc) Rating: Teen and up

Blurb: With things calming down Elise is given an alien puzzle box to try and solve.

Another quiet morning dawned. As Elise entered the hub she heard her boss call over.

“My office. Five minutes.”

“Yes sir.” She grinned, tucking her bag under her desk.

“What’s that about?” Asked Owen as he took off his coat.

“Not a clue. Can’t be bad though otherwise I wouldn’t get five minutes. Wish me luck.” She trotted into Jacks office and sat to wait. Seconds later he scooted in and closed the door behind him.

Sitting in his chair and leaning back, sipping his coffee. “So.”

“So?”

“How did it go?”

“Captain Jack Harkness did you bring me in here just for gossip?”

“Not just for gossip.” He smirked over the rim of his mug. “But mostly gossip.”

“It went pretty damn well. We’re going to see how it goes. Owen made breakfast.”

“Really well then. Either way it’s out in the open at last.”

“And the other reason you called me in here?”

He sat forward and brought a box, about the size of a rubix cube, from his desk draw. It was ornately patterned in black and gold.

“A box?”

“It’s a puzzle box we think but no one’s ever been able to solve it. I thought you could give it a try with fresh eyes.”

“If your resident geniuses couldn’t solve it then what makes you think I have a shot?” She picked up the cube and turned it over in her hands.

“Everyone thinks differently, you might see something they didn’t. It’s one of a few we’ve found over the years. Some we can’t try and solve because human minds can’t handle the concept of a four dimensional object. What we can tell is that they seem to be made by the same person out of the same material, that we can’t scan though and can’t even break.”

“I’ll give it a go.” She nodded and headed out, still studying the cube.

Ianto handed Elise her morning coffee on the way out of Jacks office. “What’s going on today?”

“Why?”

“Owen thanked me… He’s never thanked me for anything.”

“He’s just in a good mood. We had a fun night.”

“Whatever happened it’s an improvement.” He looked down at the cube in her free hand. “The lament configuration. I thought after Tosh tried to crush it it was stored away permanently.”

“The what what? The box?”

“Hellraiser? The film?”

“Sorry, before my time. I’ll add it to the list of things I need to watch.”

“The puzzle box that opens a portal to hell in that film is called the lament configuration. Everyone gets so frustrated while trying to solve it I thought the name fit.”

She laughed. “Well, I’m not as smart as anyone else here so I’m not getting my hopes up.”

“I can give you a little head start. The corners all pull out so the layers can be moved.”

“Thanks. I thought I heard cogs moving when I turned it.”

“I hadn’t noticed.”

“Yea.” She placed down her mug and held up the box, slowly turning it. “Maybe it has some sort of gyroscope inside so certain moves only work if it’s the right way up. Let’s see if we…” she pulled two opposing corners and turned it by them. “The sound is different now. I’ll have to spend some time listening to it.” She picked up her drink again and palmed the box. “Thanks.” She beamed and trotted back to her desk.

Gwen leaned on Elise’s desk, watching her twist the puzzle box and test different configurations of buttons.

“Could you ask Owen if I can borrow a stethoscope? I can’t quite catch the click.” Elise asked, holding the item up to her ear.

“I can try. Owen’s possessive over his things.”

“You might be lucky today. He’s in the best mood right now.”

Gwen decided to give it a try. She guessed he’d be where he usually was and walked over to the autopsy bay. She looked over the railing to see Tosh sitting on his lap and laughing at something. Gwen cleared her throat and Tosh blushed, trotting away in embarrassment.

Owen looked up, still smiling as if he were very proud of himself for something. “What’s up?”

“Elise wanted to borrow a stethoscope to help with the cube but it looks like you’re busy.” She didn’t know what to say about what she’d seen, a million thoughts running through her head. .

“Oh yea. Here.” He kicked off, sliding across the room in his office chair, stopping himself with his heels at a set of draws. “Here. Tell her good luck. I never want to see that thing again.”

Gwen nodded and took the stethoscope, returning to Elises desk. “We should grab something for lunch later.”

“Huh? Sure, why not. It’s quiet this morning and I don’t think this’ll go anywhere.” Elise sat back away from the cube and pulled on her jacket. She waved at Tosh who still looked bright red. “Want anything while we’re out?”

“No. I’m fine. It’s your turn to cook dinner so you could look for that.”

“Cool. See you an a bit.” She blew a kiss as she followed Gwen out. Once on the street Gwen seemed to lose a little of the tenseness she was carrying.

“So… How are things between you two?” She asked uncomfortably.

“Good, why?”

“Well, when I walked in… Tosh was sitting on Owens lap and I’m not saying they were up to anything but it didn’t exactly look innocent.”

“Cheeky sods.” Elise laughed to Gwens utter astonishment.

“You’re not upset?”

“No. It would be pretty hypocritical if I was.”

Gwen stopped in her tracks, wondering if she was getting across what she was trying to say. “So you’re ok with them two fooling around while you and Tosh are dating?”

“Yep.”

“Am I missing something here? I didn’t know you had an open relationship.”

“We don’t. It just happens that the closed relationship has three members instead of two. It’s about time they stopped dancing around the issue anyway.”

“When did that happen?!” she squeaked out of surprise.

“Last night. I made sure they could sit down and talk things over. It’s kind of sweet, Owen wanted to take the idea to his grave until I convinced him otherwise.”

“The words Owen and sweet don’t usually appear in the same sentence and it was your idea?”

“Course it was. Those two nerds would have never said anything to each other. For all his bravado Owen’s just as socially awkward as the rest of us. Aren’t you relieved? I mean if this hadn’t been the case you would have had a whole host of drama to deal with.”

“I’m just… In shock I think. I’m used to Jack talking about that sort of thing and I’m never sure if I believe him or not.”

“You know what’s good for this kind of shock?”

“What?”

“Chocolate cake.”

Jack had shut himself in his office, trusting that the rest of the team were dealing with everything just fine. The presence of the earthquake machine bothered him. The time ripples had to grab the time agency’s attention and they weren’t fans of unlicensed time travellers. Since Jacks watch no longer worked to actively travel he’d been staying under their radar but if they were snooping around it might only be a matter of time. The rift usually covered the time anomalies but it didn’t cover the effect of changing the past. At least, to the best on his knowledge, Elise hadn’t time jumped since the pharm so she wasn’t glowing like a beacon to any passing agent. Well mostly. The security cameras still couldn’t pick up her right hand and if they were unlucky that would be spotted. He hoped the agency would assume they’d done their job and eliminated the problem. They were rarely that lucky.

He was pulled from his thoughts by a knock at his door.

“Come in.”

Ianto opened the door. “Elise brought cake if you want some. What’s wrong?”

“Nothing. I’ll with you in a minute.”

“Jack…”

“Yes?”

“Your smile isn’t meeting your eyes.”

“Do you have to pay attention to everything?”

“I believe it’s in my contract, yes. It’s just below the small print that stops me poisoning Owen on a bi weekly basis.”

“I’m just concerned about the possibility of the time agency tracking me down.”

“We’ll deal with whatever happens when it happens. Frankly, if Owen could break time and space to save, not only, his own life but others then we can all handle an agency that couldn’t track you when you’ve been here for quite some time. Now come and have some cake before there’s nothing left.”  

The team sat in the boardroom where the cake had been demolished. Elise sat back in her chair with the cube, spinning it by the corners like a large fidget spinner. After each rotation it gave a satisfying clink.

Gwen was leaning on the table looking a little green.

“Too much cake?” Asked Owen.

“Sod off. I think I just picked up a bug somewhere.”

“How long for?” He asked with actual concern.  

She shrugged. “A few days. It’ll go just after lunch.”

Owen looked around the room to see if everyone else was thinking what he was. They were. Elise even put the cube down.

“So you get this sickness every morning?” He continued.

“Oh don’t start. I’m on the pill.”

“You might want to check anyway.”

Elise leant forward. “Yea. I heard that there was an issue with that type of birth control. There was so much in the water system that everyone's bodies were getting used to it so it wasn’t working as it should. There were lawsuits and everything.”

Gwen looked up, a little nervous. “Seriously?”

“Yea. The pill was retired in 2026. It was replaced by these implants that can be turned on or off by a doctor. 100% effective.”

“Shit.”

Owen placed a hand on Gwens shoulder. “Come on. We can find out and if not I can see what’s really causing it.”

Gwen groaned but followed, kind of hoping it was just a virus. She couldn’t really hang up her life for a while to have a baby. How would she even bring up a child with her job as it was. What would Rhys think? Another wave of nausea hit her though likely more from stress.

The short wait felt like forever.

“Will we have to open a creche? I don’t think it’s possible to baby proof the hub.”  Ianto mused out loud.

“Gwen’ll just be on maternity leave for a while, though in the past parents haven’t returned to work because of the risk. I can’t blame them.” Said Jack, his mind wandering to his own family.

Tosh was pacing, thinking about the possibilities for herself. She sat down close to Elise. “You have one of those implants, don’t you?”

“Yea. Since I was eighteen. It’s the earliest you can get it because it puts your reproductive system into a sort of stasis.”

“Any idea how it works?”

“Not a clue but we might be able to reverse engineer one. If Gwen isn’t pregnant then she’ll probably be interested too.”

“I can’t imagine what she must be feeling right now. A baby just throws your whole life upside down.”

“Yea, but she has Rhys. I’m sure he’d be ecstatic.”

“Have you ever thought about having kids?”

Elise shook her head. “No way. If my mum was anything to go by I should never have kids. What about you?.”

“I don’t have time for children and I don’t think I could stay away from work. It’s the Torchwood curse. Normal stops being a thing.”

“There’s a thought, what would my power even do if I got pregnant?”

“That doesn’t bare thinking about.”

Gwen tensed up waiting for the result that felt as if it was taking forever when only seconds had passed. Negative.

“Oh thank god.” She almost collapsed, relieved.

“You always looked the type to want kids.”

“I do, just not right now. I can’t bring a baby into all this. At least now I can change my birth control before I get caught out. Of course the pill wouldn’t work with all the radiation and crap we end up covered with.”

“I’m surprised this is the first scare we’ve had. With Jack alone we should have had them once a week.”

“Says you.”

“I’m very careful thank you very much.” He sat down in his wheely chair.

“What about this new relationship you’ve got going?”

“I’m not the dad type. I’m the drunk uncle that doesn’t get invited to family parties anymore type. They know that.”

“Yea and that was a shock.”

“Same here if I’m honest, but fuck, why not? The world could end tomorrow. Last real relationship I had was before I even joined Torchwood. Maybe it’s been long enough.”

“What happened?”

“She died.”

Gwens face fell. “Oh god Owen, I’m sorry.”

“You didn’t know. I didn’t want to move on really but… When you could be crushed any second by a tonne of concrete you start to look at your life differently. Plus the other Owen was a better man than I’ve ever been. He’s the one Elise fell for originally so I’ve got to live up to that now.”

“You and him are different people.”

“I know, but he’s who I could have been.”

“What, dead?”

He laughed softly. “You should go up and give everyone the news. They’re probably waiting with bated breath.”

“After this long I think they would have suffocated.”

Four pairs of eyes watched the door as it opened.

“It’s negative, thank god.”

There was a collective sigh of slight disappointment.

“Oh thanks.”

Jack smiled. “We’re happy you’re happy but a pregnancy’s exciting.”

“I know.” She waved him off.              

C#, F#, E, D, B, F#, C#, B… Each correct movement of the box made a note, only audible with a little help. G#, F#, click. The top of the box popped up and turned 90 degrees, creating an eight pointed star, followed by three other layers. The whole thing then flattened to about half its height, but in the new configuration. It looked completely different than it had but no less beautiful. The surface seemed to have taken on shapes similar to symbols. Writing maybe? She couldn’t tell at first.

Then she saw a very familiar one. She stood suddenly and excitedly carried it to find Ianto. He nearly jumped out of his skin as she trotted up to him.

“I got further with the box.”

He looked at the puzzle in surprise. “How did you solve it?”

“It was a music puzzle. It was too quiet for human ears to naturally hear it so I used a stethoscope to work it out. I don’t think it’s solved yet though so I need that book with all the symbols in.”

“I’ll grab it for you and bring it over, just wait for me to get back before you show anyone else.”

“Why?”

“I want to see their reactions.”

Elise laughed at his smug smile, knowing how it had frustrated everyone.

I was hit by a car by one of State Farm Insurance insured. Their first offer was $4 thousand dollars. Now that we are close to going to court the offer is up to $45 thousand. The problem with such a small settelment is I am having sever back pain. I would also like to know if anyone has been in the same situation. A Redcliffe man has been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly stabbing a dog multiple times.

The dog was with a man who went to pick up his own dog that was temporarily staying at his neighbour’s house on Ranson Place, when a fight broke out about 2am on Saturday.

Police said the neighbour allegedly approached the man aggressively with a knife and the other dog moved in between the two. It’s alleged the man stabbed the dog several times, before two other people intervened.

The dog was taken to a nearby residence, and police were called. The man was taken into custody at the property and officers found the dog seriously injured.

The dog needed emergency treatment but is now stable. The vet confirmed the dog had received stab wound injuries to its head, left shoulder and left torso.

The 39-year-old Redcliffe man was charged with animal cruelty, being armed in a way that may cause fear and breach of bail.

He was refused bail and appeared in the Perth Magistrates Court on Saturday.

He is due to appear in the same court on Thursday, February 15.

Mandurah police have impounded an unregistered car sporting false plates and a poorly drawn swastika.

The Ford, with a backyard-black paint job, was pulled over near the intersection of Anstruther Road and Mandurah Terrace on Australia Day.

Although cars carrying the Nazi symbol aren't breaking any road rules, police said on social media the driver was facing prosecution after being disqualified from driving three times.

The unregistered vehicle was also impounded for carrying false number plates.

"Australia Day does not make you exempt from prosecution," Mandurah Police wrote in a post on Twitter.

Western Australian road laws mean motorists who are repeatedly caught driving without a licence can be hit with massive fines or even imprisoned.

i want to talk about something today, something that i feel gets overlooked a lot in the community, and something that is can create dangerous misconceptions.

like tarot, not every witch you meet is going to be a herbalist, herbal healer, etc. not every witch reads tarot cards. but the missing detail here is that with herbs there is a lot more room for error than misreading a card. 

people often like to go to herbal healers in place of doctors, and while that shouldn’t be their only source of medical opinions, that is their choice. 

however, that being said, being a witch does not make someone an herbalist. 

being a witch does not give someone an automatic degree in botany, and it certainly doesn’t make them a doctor.  lots of witches deal with herbs, yes, but those are most often garden plants and kitchen spices. even very expirianced witches are warned off from handling herbs from mugwort to belladonna because of their high-risk nature.

a witch can give you a spell involving some herbs, but that doesn’t mean any of those herbs is going to cure your condition. a witch doesn’t necessarily know the medicinal qualities of the herbs they’re using, more often just the magical correspondences. this isn’t even touching on the fact it’s bad to go to a witch for medical problems in the first place. without a proper knowledge of the herbs they can worsen your condition, esp if they don’t know to tell you not to take an herbal-concentrated does of rosemary when you’re pregnant, or various other herbs with various conditions/medications. 

so, chances are, a witch knows just as little as you when it comes to “what can i use for my skin condition? what’s good for a sore throat?”. hell, knowing what plants are good for isn’t even enough when working with herbs, the room for error after that is so vast.

if you want herbal advice, go to a herbalist. if your problem is more serious, go to a doctor. 

THIS IS SO FUCKING IMPORTANT.

Especially because so many pagan authors just put stuff in their books like, “Drink a tea made from these four herbs to attract love / promote good dreams / banish evil / whatever.” And half of them don’t put any health warnings with these recipes, even when they’re recommending the use of things like MUGWORT, ffs. This is dangerous.

And also because there are plenty of witchy bloggers who recommend herbal cures and concoctions based on personal practice and amateur research. This is also dangerous.

In the United States (can’t speak for elsewhere), you are not a professional herbalist just because you’ve read a bunch of books on herbal medicine and brewed up teas and poultices for home use. Doesn’t matter how many years you’ve been doing it or how well it’s worked. You are not a professional herbalist unless you have gone through formal schooling and received a license to practice, just like any other legitimate physician.

If you want to do practice herbal medicine in the privacy of your own home, that’s fine. You don’t need a license to do that. But the second you, as an unlicensed practitioner, start recommending treatments or passing out concoctions to anyone outside your household, you can be liable for damages in the event that something goes wrong.

Herbs can have side effects and harmful interactions with pre-existing health conditions or medications just like anything else we put into our bodies. Don’t assume that just because something is “natural” that it is “better” or without complications.

And if you insist on recommending herbal cures without a license, you should be aware that practicing medicine…including herbal medicine…without a license is a crime, and you can face fines and/or jail time.

Each state has its own definition of what it means to practice medicine, though these definitions involved the same general type of activity. A person practices medicine whenever [they attempt] to diagnose a patient, treat medical conditions, prescribe medications or treatments, or perform surgery. The unauthorized practice of medicine also includes advertising your services as a physician, or holding yourself out to the public as a physician, doctor, surgeon, or someone licensed to practice medicine. The Collegian said what about depression? 

What is it like to feel so sad or lonely to the point that you cannot get out of bed in the morning? What is it like to have no appetite, no motivation? Inability to sleep? No desire to socialize?

These are symptoms common to 44 percent of American college students, according to healthline.com.

Depression can be a difficult topic to approach. But it’s necessary to know about it since so many people—including friends and family members—deal with symptoms of depression regularly.

Victoria Sanders, a sophomore journalism and mass communication student, shared her own experience with depression.

“The worst part about my depression was how I became a stranger,” she said. “I went from someone who was passionate about God, life and people to someone withdrawn, angry and un-empathetic.”

Sanders said she thought that this angry person was the “new” Victoria when, in reality, it was just the symptoms of depression that had such a tight grip on her.

“It was only after the healing that came with Christian counsel and God’s grace that I realized how much the depression had changed me,” she said.

Dr. Pearson Johnson, director of Student Care and Discipleship, has had many opportunities as a pastor to help those like Sanders who are struggling with depression.

Johnson said it’s important not to oversimplify the issue. Instead, people must be aware of several factors that could be contributing to one’s depression.

“Be careful about giving quick answers,” he said. “Depression is a multi-faceted issue, not a simplistic one.”

Dr. Marc Chetta, an M.D. and associate professor of biology, said the very nature of depression warrants the need for a team of both biblical counselors and medical professionals.

“Because depression is multi-factorial—physical, genetic, spiritual—depression is often the ‘perfect storm’ where everything comes together at one time,” he said. “That’s why we recommended forming partnerships between biblical counselors and physicians.”

When approaching the issue of depression, Chetta said it’s important to remember that it can be shaped by three different categories:

1. Situational or circumstantial: This type of depression is something everybody encounters such as a bad break-up, a financial crisis that threatens finishing school, illness, or the death of a friend or loved one.

“We all go through sadness, which is a part of life,” Chetta said.

2. Spiritual: Deep spiritual issues such as pornography, presumptuous doubts about where God is in all this and thoughts such as, “I must not be saved if I’m having these feelings,” and recurrent sins can cause depression.

“This guilt that is God-given bears them down,” Chetta said.

3. Biological or physical: Chetta said people experience this in physical conditions such as post-partum depression, premenstrual syndrome or Parkinsonism.

In the case of hypothyroidism, a person may be tired, lacking energy and foggy.

“You put them on thyroid medication and they’re no longer depressed,” Chetta said.

Although these three categories are helpful in determining specific causes of depression, Chetta said it’s important to remember that they often overlap like a Venn diagram.

“The issue is that there’s no ‘one size fits all,’” he said. “Although sin can be a cause of depression, it is not always the cause of depression.”

Since depression is often multi-faceted in cause, Johnson never discourages students from seeking help from medical professionals in the community—especially when they are in very desperate situations.

Instead, he encourages people to educate themselves on the realities of what the medications deliver.

“Seeking help should include educating oneself about the realities of what medications offer and deliver, speaking openly with their doctors in partnership with their biblical counselors,” he said.

Chetta also said the use of medication in treating depression is a case-by-case scenario.

“The proper approach [to depression] should be a judicious use of medications when needed to be a bridge where their mind is then enabled to receive biblical counseling and a focus on counseling to bring patients to holistic healing.”

Sometimes simply changing one’s lifestyle can help depression.

For depressed college students, Chetta recommends incorporating these four physical habits that have much research data to combat depression: adequate sleep, which for college-aged students is at least seven hours each night, sun exposure or 2,000-5,000 units of vitamin D3 each day, vigorous exercise for at least 30 minutes three to four times each week and a healthy diet.

Chetta said, for many college students, depression can be an issue of invincibility.

“Young people don’t like to say ‘no,’” Chetta said. “They tend to have the mindset of ‘I can do everything’ or ‘I have no limits.’ College students often think they can meet every single relational or academic demand brought before them, and failing to fulfil those responsibilities can cause depression. They’re missing a reality check.”

The greatest difference between a Christian’s approach to depression and the secularist’s approach is that the latter tends to ignore the spiritual aspects of depression.

Along with the physical factors of depression, it’s important to approach the issue with a biblical worldview in mind, considering the nature of the fall, the whole person and the hope of redemption.

Johnson said the very first step to approaching depression is to consider expectations.

“Our culture promises the ideal—to be always feeling well, always healthy, always satisfied,” he said. “That’s not a realistic promise for life in a fallen world.”

Pearson gave four practical ways Christians can help their depressed friends:

1. Listen. Find out information by listening to the circumstances and issues that are manifesting themselves in either self-diagnosis or a diagnosis of depression. This is the most important step.

2. Love. Commit to doing whatever you can to help them—to walk through the valley that they’re experiencing with them. This is not always easy, and it requires sacrifice, but it’s critical.

3. Learn. Take the time to learn what they’re dealing with and how you can help them. This requires learning from your hurting friends as well as learning from the Scriptures. Look for ways to come alongside them.

4. Lead. Lead them to Christ, Scripture and other resources that can be a help to them. Sometimes, this means taking them to the doctor or advising them to get a medical checkup.

A proper view of life plays an important role in understanding depression.

“While having realistic expectations of life in a fallen world, we also shouldn’t have it as our goal to be morose or be content with being melancholy,” Johnson said.

“A balanced biblical view of life in a fallen world will lead to expectations of both pain and suffering, but also hope in Christ and final redemption, the experiences of joy and other fruits of the Spirt, as well as the difference-making encouragements of fellow believers.”

Oftentimes, the spiritual aspect of treating depression is overlooked.

“It’s important to recognize that we live in a sin-cursed world and that we’re going to bear the sin-cursed effects of the fall in our bodies, spirits and emotions,” Johnson said.

People will suffer with depression until Christ returns because of sin.  Chetta said, “Just like we are all sinners, because of the fall, we are all a little mentally ill.”

Chetta further explained that because of sin, we all struggle with broken minds that do not think God’s thoughts apart from the enlightenment that the Holy Spirit brings when He indwells a Christian.

But there is hope.

“We deal with [the effects of sin] by hoping in the resources God has provided now and the future redemption of our bodies,” Johnson said. “That helps us get through the present.”

Notice the difference between the medical doctor and the unlicensed counselor?

Chetta says:

He also universalizes the condition:

Just like we are all sinners, because of the fall, we are all a little mentally ill.

And I only got 2-3 hours (I'm guessing the amount and which may have been less) of terribly broken sleep which I struggled to get any of.

A mini-bus kind of SUV white van was parked all night at Fatguts place. The criminal abo kids were all about and LOUDLY carrying on everywhere even as late as 10pm and onwards. They were using damp, smelly, bed innerspring matresses laying on the street verges and ones they had dragged to there as well, as 'trampolines ' and carrying on like demented crazed apes jumping on them, and roaming all over the dark roads and yelling out. Including the criminal abo toddlers in diapers were jumping all about, being taught by the others.

The main criminal abo household used to have a trampoline of their own. But it was destroyed by their very own criminal abo's, smashed, destroyed, torn & cut up by the criminal abo's. - They then went and stole the trampoline from innocent Ms New Ages place. All that occured months ago. The remains of THAT stolen trampoline was probably thrown out with the Swan Shire council bulk refuse clean up a couple of days ago. That shire service is very handy for the criminal abos all about this hellhole for getting rid of stolen goods.

Dear Sam & dear Max were fed their dry dog food very early this morning, in the 'coolness' of the darkness so they wouldn't have to suffer any daytime heat. Then we went back to bed and sleep though I could not. - Sam had VERY bad nightmares and was LOULDY howling in his sleep a LOT. (dear Sam and dear Max miss you incredibly so much dear Fliss and so do I.)

But around 7:20am, a criminal adult abo woman was louldy yelling, abusing, and carrying on outside, and walking along the footpath and road as she did so. She had a mobile phone to her ear but was continually pulling it away and looking at the screen, then putting it back to her ear again as she walked. She had a handbag slung over her shoulder.

She kept that up all the way along until she reached the criminals pedestrian walkway at the end of Kalara Road, Koongamia, and then went through and onto other criminal abo houses in the suburb of Bellevue there. There is a LOT of criminal abo places in there, and other criminals as well, which the Police know of but of course never let on or warn anyone about or do anything about.

BTW, later in the morning, a fat slob was riding on a pushbike and went to the Koongamia shops area where there is also a liquor store, to get more supplies and shit to booze-up and fuck around. Today it seemed as though 'something' has previously happened and so today he wasn't on his usual unlicensed small motorcycle tearing about ON the roads recklessly and doing the same as he always does.. -- But that is inevitable to occur later in the week, JUST AS IT HAS BEEN GOING FOR YEARS AND YEARS.

Nobody fucking well cares. Hell just keeps repeating.....

I took dear Sam &dear Max outside the backyard for their ablutions. Max began sniffing about Fliss's new car. When I looked, I saw that a disgusting feral cat had pissed all over the back of it...AGAIN. - There are several of these feral cats that the criminal abo's 'dote' over, leave scraps and shit out for them mostly of their own crap which is garbage they throw around on the streets, and these are the same cats which they take 'for walks' making them follow them along footpaths and leading them into innocent peopels yards for the cats to shit & piss everywhere and kill every creature they can find including endangered Australian wildllife including endangered birds.

And so dear Max was sniffing a spot on the car where the feral cat has pissed all over, bringing disease into the yard of this hovel. EVERY YEAR the dogs get very sick from all of that and more and throw up inside and outside this hovel, ALL BECAUSE OF THE FUCKING DAMN FERAL CATS....and the FUCKING CROWS WHO FLY ABOUT AND DROP PIECES OF MAGGOT RIDDLED FLYBLOWN FOOD SCRAPS ANY AND EVERYWHERE SCAVENGED FROM ABO PLACES AND SHITHEADS PLACES WHO DON'T GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING OR ANYONE OR LET ALONE ABOUT ANY HYGIENE. (The shire council SO VERY VERY OFTEN THEN instead blames ALL innocent neighbours for ALL the shit that the criminal abo's do. It's fucking CRAZY and the council ALWAYS insists YOU show them proof of all this and so you have to do MORE than show proof....you do so but then the council just does hardly anything, and nothing results...and the same shit just goes on and on and on and on...FOR YEARS AND YEARS......are you getting the idea of this fucking hellhole yet!?)

I got Sam & Max inside after their ablutions, and was preparing to begin some of outside minor work which was going to result in a LOT more pain but there is nobody here to help me at all so I HAVE to do it and forever fucking suffer until it results in my death, a death nobody fucking cares when it occurs.

I had to go back inside the hovel and get something. Suddenly inside, for no reason, Max almost attacked me. He was snarling and growling VERY BADLY and when I say 'almost attacked me', I ONLY escaped being attacked AGAIN and having to go to the doctors purely by chance and barricading myself into a room and shutting the door, NOT because I fliipped a coin or saw a butterfly flitting past and was distracted which saved me.

THIS is what dear Fliss has done to dear Max when she abandoned us.....thrown us into the fucking hell of this hellhole to fucking well die so she can live her high life or whatever it is she imagines.

I eventually managed to get out (with GREAT trepidation), and I did the outside work, suffered SEVERELY by doing it and became more in great pain. (I'm typing this up in great pain and rushing to post it because later I will be laid up totally in agony.)

Whilst outside, one of the criminal abo's of the main criminal aboriginal household, the abo that loves to hide up in trees from Police to avoid arrest & capture, he was roaming all about on a pushbike, going to the Koongamia shops, then returning to an abo criminal household like a criminal feral servant. He did that to 2 or 3 abo criminal households of the abo criminal ghetto.

Earlier in the morning, around 7am, one of the criminal abo kids (a small one but still a very criminal abo kid all about here), he had a backpack on and looked dressed to go to school, (being forced to go to school rather than rampage all about) and he went the nearby Koongamia school across the road. But he simply went towads the Koongamia shops then went around the block before going into Fatguts abo criminal household. It was some time after that the up-in-trees-hiding abo started going all about. - In fact the entire parade of abo criminal shit had begun and was going on. That bitch yelling and walking about with her phone came just afterwards.

Then I had to do some minor but very necessary chores outside in the yard of this hovel, and began preparing to start that. But I'd forgotten something necessary from inside this hovel, and so I went back inside. And THAT was when Max tried to attack me. - It was totally unprovoked as always. And I DID NOT ASSAULT OR BEAT HIM OR HARM HIM IN ANY WAY, BEFORE DURING OR AFTERWARDS. -- But it is NOT ME who is the catalyts for all this shit and never has been.

But NOBODY FUCKING CARES.

Around 10:29am.......ANOTHER VERY FUCKING CRIMINAL ABO KID WAS WALKING ABOUT AIMLESSLY. HE WAS DRESSED AND HAD SHOES ON AND LOOKED TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT KNOW OF HIM TO BE 'NORMAL'......But this abo shithead is the one that in recent times past tried to set fire to the unfenced corner house and who was so very violent and attacked the young boys of Ms New Age's rented place, and cuntless other shit, inlcuding violentally smshing Ms New Age's place leaving severe criminal destructon outside and inside which Police and detectives were called in to try to addresss. -- But of course being 'aboriginal'....and a young boy, depsite no matter how criminal and violent he actually is, he got away with everything just as they always do.

As he was walking along the footpath, going past the newest residents of teh ghetto area, he was actively looking and staring at any and everything of that place no doubnt seeing what he could steal andor smash. Just rememeber that THIS is the criminal abo who tried to set fire to that very house to the shadecloth on the sidegate near the kitchen window, which would have resulted in the entire house burnung down with the innocent inhbitants inside it. -- The newest inhabitants there have ALSO fairly recently put up some (not as much as before) shadecloth for privacy reasons in the exactly same place where he had set fire to the last residents shadecloth and risked the entire house burning down. And back then he KNEW innocent people were in the house too.

I wonder if I am seeing the criminal groundwork being layed for a prelude to yet another reapeat of fucking criminality hell done before in this hellhole area.

The school Xmas holidays are soon to begin here. HE does NOT EVER GO TO SCHOOL, ANY SCHOOL. HE'S JUST A ROAMING ABO CRIMINAL ON THE STREETS FOREVER GOING IN AND OUT OF OTHER CRIMINAL HOUSEHOLDS AND EVADING POLICE and the feckless useless authorities.

I cleaned the car of that cat mess on it, and paid very close attention to not having ANY of it upon me because the feral cats carry so much disease. The same horrid stuff that also results in poor Sam and poor Max suffering incredibly bad and having severe vomitting, diarrhoea and everything which also then ravages me.

THAT VERY SAME CAT I saw this morning was going around EVERY PERSONS HOUSE AND YARD AND DOING THE SAME FOULING PEOPLES YARDS AND PROPERTY including the newest residents places ontheor vehicels and front door of the house. They haven't got any idea about this hellhole area. Not any idea at all.

THEN, during the morning that SAME MANGY FERAL DISEASED CAT went from house to house to house by literally casually walking out of one yard, immediately crossing the road, going into another yard, then doing it all over again as it made its way along down Kalara Way and in and out of the criminal aboriginal households.

It's just like the feral criminal abo's themselves that roam about.
