people are always surprised when i say i don't mind the rainy season in seattle for like some quite valid reasons but i cannot overstate how much the ecological experience of the pnw is sooooo good for my mental health. it doesn't get very cold, there's always a green plant around, and most of the time i can see the mountains and when i can't i have the water!! do you know how easy it is to feel better in the face of natural beauty?

#the only reason i don't like the rainy season is that being wet is a top 3 worst sensory experience to me #also there are many many things i miss about the midwest i think but unfortunately it is just unlivable for me #dark at 3 or 4pm. freezing cold all the fucking time. very very boring landscape. humidity #do not @ me i know there's natural beauty in the midwest but it is MUCH harder to find #and it's hard to appreciate lake michigan when you can't ever look at it bc you don't want to be outside #i do very much miss the architecture in chicago and detroit tho #the seattle skyline is not beautiful bc of the buildings that's for sure #i miss livejournal must be a day that ends in y
