Sooooooooooo I just saw some posts saying that Vivienne could love Madoc because she only believed that she would hate him when she vowed to hate him-

and even if that is true............

Let her hate him. Just let her.

First of all, can we have a Duarte sister who doesn't forgive Madoc for killing their parents?

I want to see him face consequences for murdering them, even if he had his explanation for doing so. I want to see him feel guilty about it and not be able to forget it. And Vivienne is perfect for this.

Jude loves him (albeit in an uncomfortable manner) and Taryn seems to have some love and loyalty to him too.

And honestly, I cannot emphasise how awful their parents' murder was for the Duarte girls. They saw it right in front of their eyes, and then Madoc kidnapped them and took them away from the only home they knew back then.

(And if Justin and Madoc can both be fathers to Jude, then the same goes for Vivienne. Madoc's her bio father, Justin's her adopted. He took care of her for 9 years-don't tell me she didn't love him.)

We as the readers are not really affected by it, because Jude barely talks about her parents and their murder, and doesn't express much grief after ten years because she's bottled it up and pushed it down.

But the Duarte sisters are. They knew their parents and they miss them, especially Vivienne who knew them longer and had better and clearer memories of them.

And honestly, Madoc was an awful person for that. He's an awful person for killing two people in front of children. Justin I get, because the guy tried to axe him, but he could have knocked Justin out-don't tell me he wasn't that strong or reflexive.

And Eva? He had no need to kill her at all. He could have grabbed her-AND THERE WERE THREE SMALL CHILDREN RIGHT FUCKING THERE!

It doesn't matter if he had an instant killing instinct. He's still a terrible person for killing Eva and Justin.

And do you know how much it must have affected Vivienne that Jude and Taryn treated their parents' murderer like their own father? Put yourself in her shoes. Imagine the betrayal, the hurt, the fury and pain.

We've been thinking and looking at TFOTA from Jude's perspective for far too long. It's time to dive into other characters' minds and see it from theirs.

Eva and Justin aside-let's go to Oak.

We know that Madoc was going to put Oak on the throne for his own gain, and we know that this would have traumatised Oak. Imagine being a king, having to make so many decisions-and Oak would still have some degree of responsibility, even with Madoc as the regent. Imagine having so many people looking at you for so many things that an adult should handle when you're so young.

Oak would've been traumatized, and you know it. And Madoc knew it too, and he still decided to go forth with the plan.

But where does Vivienne come into this, you ask? Why don't I just post this under a Madoc hate rant?

(I don't hate Madoc).

Because Vivienne knew what I just told you too. She saw Oak who was young, and he was almost 9 then (I think) and she was nine when her parents were murdered and she was stolen away.

And honestly, I'm pretty sure she hated Madoc in that moment. Pure hatred.

She probably took pleasure in forcing him to adjust to the mortal world, though. That must have been nice for her.

I don't think Vivienne loves Heather in the faerie way-she loves Heather in a more human way. (I love Vivienne and Heather so much, you have no idea, as much as some of you love Jurdan). And honestly, good for her. Good for both of them.

And honestly, I don't hate Madoc. It's just that when I think of him with relation to Vivienne, then I really start to hate him. That's all.

So, this is the end of the rant. Feel free to disagree and argue with me. Hate comments are always welcome.

As you start to wake up you snuggle more against him. He smiled and kissed your forehead softly. “I love you too.” Mikey mumbled against your skin and ran his fingers down your spine and stopped at your hips, pulling you closer, as he kept his eyes closed, just enjoying the feeling of your body against his while he spoke. “i want to spend some time with you before the day starts.”

"Hmmm i know, you are always so busy with the gang lately." he lets out a small sigh and looks down, feeling a bit guilty. “I know.. I’ve been really busy with the gang. I don’t mean to neglect you..” he said apologetically and ran his fingers through his messy blonde hair.

"It's fine baby, i don't feel neglected. I'm always studying anyway so..." he gives a small pout and looks back at you.

“But i miss you..” he mumbled in a whiny tone as he pulled you even closer so now he had you practically on top of him, your head laying on his chest.

"I am here now." You say, hugging him. You had been a couple since both of you were 17 and as soon as he turned 18 Shinichiro allowed him to let you sleep in his room.

Mikey lets out a content sigh and wrapped his arms around your frame, holding you tight.

“promise me something..” he mumbled against your skin.

"Yes love."

Mikey closed his eyes and traced random patterns onto your back as he spoke. “Promise me you’ll never try to join toman..no matter how much you want to “protect me."" he said with a hint of pleading in his tone. he pulled his face away from your neck to look into your eyes.

"Yup."

He chuckled softly a slightly amused look on his face. “I'm serious.. i don’t want you involved in that stuff.” his expression turned serious again as he grabbed your hips and rolled you over onto your back so now he was hovering above you and leaned in so his lips were practically against your ear “I don’t want anything to happen to you..” he whispered in a low tone.

"Okay okay." Mikey lets out a small sigh and looks into your eyes. “Promise me you won’t get involved.” he says in a firm tone, his eyes still locked on to yours, waiting for an answer.

"I promise."

Mikey leaned down to gently kiss your lips. “good.” he smirked and ran his fingers up your side slowly placing a few light kisses on your jawline then moved to your other side to leave kisses on your other side of your neck.

You were still naked from the night before, and the smell of your arousal penetrated the covers, it was easy for Mikey to position himself between your legs and, continuing to kiss you, start to enter first slowly and then increasing the pace, inside you. with his nails digging into your back it didn't take much to make your eyes roll as he came into you.

Mikey is careful the whole time and he keeps you close to his chest and whispers in your ear and tells you to be quiet a few times and eventually you both fall asleep, tangled up in each other’s embrace. But...as soon as he woke up, he got up and walked out of bed, he ruffled his messy hair and went to the bathroom just in boxers. Mikey walked out and was met by Izana in the hallway and a smirk appeared on his face. “Don’t say a word..” he warned with a grumble.

Izana let out a low chuckle and smirked at the messy haired blonde. “And why shouldn’t I? seems like you and a certain someone had a fun night..” Izana teased. Mikey let out a small scoff and rolled his eyes. “Don’t be an ass, it’s none of your business.”

Izana put his hands up in defense. “Calm down, i’m just messing with you. Your just making it easier to tease you with that hair of yours.” he said with a smirk, clearly enjoying the situation. Mikey huffed and tried to pat down his messy hair, making it even more unkempt than it already was. “Shut up." he said and crossed his arms over his chest.

(BD & ratchet anon) i'm honored you got inspired by my ask! tbh it was just a thought that had been rolling around in my head for a while now and i just wanted to share it :)

but yes! i think a very quiet and comfortable friendship would strike up between them! since it's canon ratchet starves himself for the rest of the team, i like the idea that BD would notice and try to get ratchet to take better care of himself. (especially since BD would feel a little guilty that they have one more mouth to feed b/c of him)

i do think things would get like 5x funnier once KO arrives b/c KO and ratchet would NOT get along. i'm imagining the two of them sniping at each other while BD is just in the background. sweeping the floor. tidying the datapads. wiping the berth. ( ratchet tells BD that's he's surprisingly handy and ratchet's been considering getting an assistant lately would he be interested in a new job? and KO is just 🔪🔪🔪)

GUH ;-------------; Breakdown is used to keeping an eye on Knock Out so unintentionally he does the same for Ratchet. For Knock Out, it was always just how their partnership worked and he enjoys caring for him, but for Ratchet, he can see the wear and tear clear as day and can't understand how the Autobots are going forward like this. He brings Ratchet his ration every day (especially when he notices the medic sometimes forgets in order for Bee or Arcee to top off on what they need). He takes on the heavy lifting around the medbay ("no need to wear yourself out doc"). He even offers to oil up Ratchet's finger joints. Ratchet's response is a firm, balking no but a few days pass and he kind of warms up to the idea. Cue the most awkward night ever where Breakdown does maintenance on Ratchet's hands with surprising delicacy. When pressed, Breakdown just shrugs and mentions he likes doing it for Knock Out and misses him. Ratchet kindly doesn't ask more questions about Breakdown's weird position.

The KOBD reunion is teeth-rottingly sweet but Ratchet ruins it immediately by just being there. Knock Out can see how comfortable Breakdown is and gets immediately threatened. Not only is Breakdown his assistant (the absolutely screaming match he gets into with Ratchet for even offering Breakdown a job), but Knock Out prides himself on being Breakdown's medic. No one else. He critiques the repairs that Ratchet has made to his assistant. He is tempted to redo all of them and Breakdown has to placate him and calm him down. It becomes Breakdown's new role- mediator of the medics. Its becomes a very integral position in the medbay.

okay sooooooooooo just going to dump whats been marinating in my head all day today (instead of me focusing on work lol)

putting reinald on a petri dish and looking at him with my lil microscope hes so so so interesting to me like hes been physically dead for about 300 years (give or take some time where he wasnt dead yet based on the notes and letters he leaves all around the mine) right but his soul is still there. is his mind/soul trapped in his body with the red miasmal? seems like the red miasmal was puppetting his body for a large majority of those 300 years but maybe he had some breaks in lucidity like he does when he talks with geralt. seems like he was fighting for control/fighting to keep the red miasmal for completely erasing him for 300 years and just the idea of that kind of entrapment is so so so sad but so so so interesting to me and even at the end of it hes still able to have a conversation with geralt, still for the most part able to be rational. like he hasnt been completely driven to madness iTS JUST SUCH A COOL CHARACTER AHHHHH

more of a question as im still not super familiar with the witcher universe - are spirits always going to turn into some kind of bad specter? like if a spirit is still in the physical world and hasn't "moved on" and found peace does that mean it will eventually be corrupted? are there no "good" spirits? mostly wondering bc i have a few fic ideas kicking around my head for spirit!reinald but im just not sure how it fits into witcher lore/canon

related to reinald bc i do really want to write this story about a witcher that stumbles upon him and rescues him from his doomed fate (we lovvveeee fix it fics) - would love to make a lady witcher oc but based on what im reading online is that they just arent a thing except for in fanon (which isnt a problem for me lol), also lot of people being weird about gender on reddit about this (no one is surprised) but i wasnt sure if there was something i was missing!

more lady witcher oc thoughts - im reading up on all of the schools right now and initially i was really drawn to the school of the cat bc we love a rogue/assassin character design but they all seem to be BANANAS CRAZY CUCKOO SADISTS which is fine like if we're embracing fanon MY cat witcher doesnt have to be a maniac, but idk if any of you guys have thoughts about the witcher schools and favorites <3 (ideally she would not come from the same school as reinald)

also related - is there a good timeline for all of the creations and downfalls of the schools??? i couldn't find good dates on the wikis that i was reading but i was also on my phone. while im fully embracing making shit up with this, i was trying to get timelines that make sense. seems like reinald was alive and on this quest in 970 or 980 but i dont know how that lines up with all of the other schools and what theyre up to at the time

I have listened to 19.99!!! while at the moment (first listen in the car) I wouldn’t put it at the top of their albums/eps it’s definitely up there and it’ll probably grow into being my favorite as I listen more.

something that stands out to me, that boynextdoor continues to do, is push themselves to explore genre. this album is so different from WHO? and WHY? and HOW? but it’s also very them. you can hear aspects of their style developing in each release and that’s so wonderful to see, especially as they begin to contribute more to the writing, composition, and production on their music.

in terms of the tracks, the hiphop influence comes through a lot more than I would say on previous albums which is really cool. I’m happy for the styles and tones they’ve experimented with, particularly I will say leehan’s part in dangerous. it makes me excited to see them all try out different things from rapping to singing and maybe more of just line delivery (like it’d be interesting to see them pull off something along the lines of mortal by enhypen). but anyways!!! I love being able to see how much they’ve grown!

okay now please hear me out in that…. bottom three are not bottom three. every track on the album is a track I would place high in an overall ranking of their discography. but like if i had to rank the tracks based on first listen (+ me looking up the lyric translations):

1. gonna to be a rock - I’m a very big fan of how this song ties back to the original trilogy of releases. yes I’m glad to leave the romance aspect behind, but given I was expecting them to just cut to a completely new concepts, I absolutely love the cohesion. the metaphor of being a rock also feels reflective of their previous releases, in a but sometimes sort of way. I also just really enjoy the sonic of this song. it feel very bonedo in an overall lyric-music-performance type of way

2. call me - I could write a whole post on this one (and I probably will) and it’s a lot of the lyrics making me emotional. the instrumental aspect is really cool, love how they bring it all in in the chorus and then take it away going into the second verse but piece by piece add it back it. to me plays a bit on the aspect of loneliness but discovering slowly that you’re often not truly alone. “call me call me call me / if you lonely lonely lonely” like okay *sobs* also the “i miss you” was A Lot.

3. 20 - as someone who grew up with the idea that my 20s would hold more answers than questions (which like… wasn’t the case) this song hits home a bit. it’s a very relatable view of what feels like being young and growing up. the fairly common experience of wanting to be older than you are but reaching that age and realizing, maybe there was more to hold onto, to cherish. as a group with members in their twenties and woonhak turning 20 soon, it’s a very… gentle approach to the self and others in what it means to approach 20, to be 20, and how it all goes.

4. dangerous - I love this vibe is all I can say. leehan’s part in the second verse is so good and tbh that just made him a contestant for mark’s part in the poison cover

5. nice guy - the cocky vibes are everything in this. the hook is also sooooooooooo good. I love the kpop-ness of it. it’s definitely one of their more.. easy-listening, so to speak, type of tracks. it’s still stylistically representative of them, tho. an excellent choice for a title track.

Been hardly drawing these past few months because I was busy with RL work and managing my health (I worked too much, made myself sick, got better, worked too much again, got sick again.... it was quite the cycle 😅). During rare downtime in my schedule, I ended up watching the Netflix adaptation of YYH. After watching it, I realised I missed YYH so, so much that I ended up rewatching the anime (nearing the end of season 3 now, whee! Of course I squealed and got the warm fuzzies when my ultimate YYH crush, Hagiri Kaname, finally made his appearance!😍🎲).

Anyhooey, back when this series first aired on local tv, they dubbed it, so I never really got the chance to appreciate the original VAs work on the characters. But now that I'm watching it subbed, I AM FINDING MYSELF SOOOOOOOOOOO DRAWN TO HIEI'S VOICE!🙉

Soooooooooooo, I drew him for practice.😅

rain’s ending has potential it just sucks cause we don’t get anything out of him in the story mode. i miss his pettiness soooooooo much and if he was actually relevant to the story i would perhaps like his ending more
