A few years ago I rated some OPM ships, I'm going to do it again and compare results to see if I changed my mind about any of the ships

Saitama/Genos: i ranked Genosai low last time due to Genos being 19, I was 16 at the time of making the list and I thought it was wild a 19 year old was being shipped with a 25 year old. Im 19 now and I’ve realised I shouldn’t take the ship too seriously since opm isn’t real, and both are adults so the age difference isn’t as big of a problem I made it to be. Both are mature enough so I no longer have any issues with the ship. The fanfictions and art for the ship are nice, and I like how much they both care for one another, which I think was made clear at the end of the MA arc if it wasn't obvious already. I’ll give the ship a 6/10, I like it but I’m not crazy about it.

Tatsumaki/King: At first I didn’t like this ship but I'm on board now! I think it’s cute. The fanfics for these two have won me since they have a good dynamic, and we get to see some nice Tatsumaki characterisation. In the manga, it’s nice to see that King is one of the few people Tatsumaki seems to respect and have faith in. My only issue with this ship is that Tatsumaki is under the impression King is strong af, which he clearly isn’t. Even though he isn’t omitting this information willingly, she doesn’t know who King truly is. I still love it though, 8/10.

Flashy Flash/Sonic: I love this ship too, and the manga and webcomic are to blame. I’ve always liked childhood friends to lovers troupe and that is what Flash x Sonic basically is. The fanfiction and fan art are great too, if you haven’t been able to tell already, the fanfiction and art do impact my view on these ships. 9/10, even though it’s my favourite opm ship, I don’t have much to say about it other than I think it’s great.

Atomic Samurai/Iaian. Ik I said a 6 year age gap is wild so you would think I wouldn’t like this paring because it’s a 14 year age. But Iaian is in his 20’s so I can at least turn a blind eye to a 14 year age gap. Again, I’m also a fan of this pairing. The MA arc in the manga has given Iaian a bigger role in the story and thus more dialogue with Atomic, it was really endearing to see how much Atomic cares for Iaian. 8/10.

Gorou/Badd. I know this ship is probably the second most popular in OPM but it’s ranked low for me because I don't really care for either character so I don't care for the ship much either. There's nothing wrong with it though, just isn’t my thing. 6/10

Fubuki/Psykos: same as the ship above pretty much. I see the appeal, but I’m not appealed. The fanart is cute af tho. 6/10

Drive Knight/ Genos: I became a fan of this pairing recently which really surprised me. I think this is mainly because it could go in multiple directions depending on Drive Knight's allegiance. The recent webcomic chapters are not helping. There's not a lot of fics out there for these two but the few I read are pretty nice. Also, there is this one artist, can't remember who they are, but the fanart they make for this pairing got me on board. 8/10.

(it is not morning and I haven't had a thought since forever because I've been dual wielding HSR and genshin for god knows how long)

ANYWAYS idk if you've written about this but

Imagine this: Zhongli as a dragon has mating cycles, right. And during mating season when he's in a rut man needs somewhere to deposit his clutch of eggs and shoot his load so they will grow into dragon babies! Problem is, he literally does not want or frankly, NEED baby dragons flying around but his body disagrees with him

So now that transmasc! Childe is his bf, he gets (guess what) bred every now and then, and because [insert reason], he can't get pregnant but his belly swells with a clutch of eggs whenever Morax gets supremely horny :)

(bonus: dragon eggs are extremely rare in this economy and it's Zhongli's one™ source of steady income in this economy. Oh, and because of adeptus magic childe lactates too no I don't make the rules teehee)

HII i was also dual wielding hsr genshin with a side of honkai too even times are tough 😭😭😭 anyways so !!!!!!

i like dragon zhongli very much but i dont think i ever wrote anything of the sort or ever heard of a version like this where he just needs a place to deposit eggs. like i do see fics / art where he just breeds childe during a mating cycle with the intention of having dragon babies flying around. BUT LIKE THIS VERSION WHERE THIS IS HIS JOB AND HE'S SELLING EGGS. idk its really unique to me /pos i read a lot of zc but i never thought of it like this.

so personally i think, it starts out as a normal relationship. i dont think zhongli would reveal that he's a dragon so soon into any relationship without establishing a bond of trust. and even when he eventually tells childe he still doesnt talk about the egg part. its just a heads up, he doesnt really want to involve childe in it, not much he could do about it as a mortal. it could easily be a hard boundary for him too considering he's trans, possibly dysphoric, might be transitioning etc. but long story short is zhongli would not want to burden childe with it.

when it is the peak of his cycle he just kind of disappears, he has work and childe travels in and out of liyue often. its not that noticible, not like they spend every waking moment together bc that is just not feasible for the type of relationship they have, so he keeps it quiet without much effort.

meanwhile it does take a toll on his body and mind going through all that, going through his cycles in unnatural ways, worrying about the eggs afterwards and so on.

until one cycle he's really caught up in it, he feels it draw near and he should find an excuse to depart from childe at his earliest convenience, possibly realizing this right when they're getting intimate like always. but childe can feel him hold back, trying to suppress an urge, his hands are not only marked golden brown like usual but he swears he can see the gold in it glow and sparkle.

zhongli also feels different, its very different from how gentle and tender he usually is with childe. he still is but its restrained, trying to shove something down and childe certainly feels it. he keeps asking whats wrong but zhongli wants to get it over with before he loses it completely and leave.

childe doesnt want that though, he soothes zhongli and calms him down, reassures him that he can be honest. so zhongli eventually comes clean and explains all that he's been hiding, emphasis on how he does NOT want childe to get involved in it.

but childe wants to. he says he can take it and that its not a problem unless zhongli wants him to birth or look after the children in any way (and thats not what zhongli wants anyways)

but STILL. at this point i thing childe would still see it as a... thing. like its not something to get sentimental over. it's just about zhongli's biology and he doesnt understand it fully but he understands that he can be of help.

and there is no guarantee that it would work so essentially he asks zhongli to try, and he does. but the second he does, childe realizes that he cant really look at it as a matter of simply helping zhongli out. in theory, it is. but in practice he feels so different, he sees a different, primal and feral version of zhongli that was hidden from him all this time.

he spends hours tracing his fingers over his horns and his tail, admiring the pattern on it, falling asleep on it sometimes and zhongli wraps it around him for comfort. and of course the fact that he is literally being bred, not in a way that was not plausible to him before, uttered in the heat of the moment when they made love solely as a fantasy. now that it becomes a reality childe's heart races thinking about it.

even when they're apart zhongli is quite literally still with him, he thinks about the way he growls in his ear before releasing, how zhongli holds him close right after and whispers "mine" before they fall asleep. when he's alone in the dark he finds himself yearning for a pair of yellow, reptilian eyes in the dark and sharp claws around his hips.

and since you mentioned adeptal magic i think zhongli would be capable of creating a seal that makes this whole thing easier, more natural lubrication from his body so he can take it more easily. a mortal body would probably be trashed during this entire process so he would make sure that it doesnt irreversibly damage childe in any way.

and who knows, maybe with that one day they do decide to be parents and actually go through with the whole thing 🤔 they would make wonderful fathers so i would love to see it but anyways this is my 2 cents on the topic 🫡

Literal perfection,it's always so nice to see them look less human ish in fanart

Same person that just sent the ask with the tweels and stuff, only complaint I have about this blog is the fact I need a computer to see all ur works, I think when u talked about that Azul piece with him being captive I was like wait a min what?? And I had to scroll down so far to see what it was, it was then I realized I'm missing out on sm. Your complaint is very real and understandable. I mainly use the tumblr site on my computer, but I sometimes use tumblr mobile if it's to queue posts or do something quick like pen a concept/meraki mumbling. I've heard tumblr mobile can be troublesome at times. Fortunately, I'm working on the twst masterlist, so soon there will be a place to find my twst stories with ease and without having to scroll a lot! (≡^∇^≡)

As for if I will ever make an oc, I actually have lots of ocs and I have been creating them for as long as I can remember!! I'm very passionate about creating original characters, and I often write stories/concepts for the yandere ocs I have. But I never post any of it here because I don't know if anyone would be interested to read something outside of genshin/twst/hsr. ^^;;; ironically enough, I wrote fifty pages for a story about a yandere!shark mer in captivity during the pandemic. And now here I am writing lots for three merfolk from the hit mobile game Twisted Wonderland!!! lol

2.3 CONTINUITY UPDATE

the 2.3 update for hsr dropped right in the middle of the requiem event, hence why i held off of making this post for now. but some things happened in the new story that have inspired changes in how i write robin, so! here's an update so you're all up to speed yayyy. a more detailed explanation of some of the updated parts of robin's portrayal can be found below the cut (as they do contain spoilers for the new quest) but here's the non-spoiler version:

robin is on a journey to discover herself—she currently does not have any schedules or concerts as a songstress. you can definitely still recognize her as a popstar if you already know her as that, but muses from genshin or hi3 might not recognize her as such from the beginning.

she won't bring up what happened in penacony, nor will she often make allusions to it. she's made it clear that she's on a journey for herself, so i'm taking it as a sign that she wants to put what's happened behind her for now. essentially, whatever loose threads i had for her prior have been... relatively tied up, and she's set out on a journey to find herself anew. yippee :D

now for more story-related things:

robin's relationship with the family chapter of penacony is looking... rather strained. considering her actions in the 2.3 story quest, it's safe to assume that she no longer wants to affiliate with them/they don't really want to affiliate with her.

here's robin giving away oti alfalfa's ship (a decision that she seems to have made on her own)

aaaand i would put jade dialogue here implying that she's in on the ipc deal (something poison something lady who is interested in the future of harmony??) but i can't find it right now and i'm a bit lazy to go get it DJFHDGJDGB but essentially just know that she's probably not gonna deal with the family any time soon. she likely won't be returning to the planet of festivities soon, either. i don't think this means that she's abandoning penacony, probably just that she doesn't think the family is good for it anymore. i have a feeling she'll definitely come back/be involved in later developments of the planet, but for now, this is where we're at.

with regards to sunday: what robin had to give up in order to set him free is not explicitly told to us, but we can assume that it had something to do with their relationship based on the following parts:

she refers to sunday as the "former head of the oak family" when she has consistently referred to him as her brother before

we also know from the penacony end credits that robin and sunday are "doomed for eternal separation"

which makes me think that whatever deal robin made with jade involves sacrificing the bond they have as siblings. i won't say with absolute certainty that this involves deleting or altering her memories of sunday (as in some post-2.3 astral express dialogues, she does explicitly mention her brother and her memories of him) but i do think that their relationship has been compromised some way, some how.

to that end: i think robin has accepted the fact that she and her brother are not going to meet any more, whether because it is parl of her deal with jade or simply because she's realized that they've walked too far on their respective paths to ever converge again. i think her setting sunday free is her final act of love as his sister. so i probably won't mention him much in her dialogue—he'll come up often in her thoughts, as loved ones often will, but i think she's accepted the fact that they simply cannot be siblings anymore. she won't look for him. she won't try to pull him to her side. she'll just take solace in the fact that he's free now, and that he can walk whatever path he chooses. if that path leads to her: then that's great. but she won't force anything. sunday is sunday—robin is robin. they are not tied to each other.

of course maybe this will change in a future update but, for now, this is how i'm interpreting the end of penacony's arc for robin. she's ready to move on and explore more things for herself! for her first month here, i wrote her intending to give her more closure from the penacony arc, so she had a bit of a melancholic air about her, but now she seems to be found even a bit of it in 2.3. so here's hoping this means more lighthearted threads HAHSDFGHSHAHAHHA
