i think solavellan appeals to me as an aromantic person because i tend to be drawn to more fantastical, larger than life love stories that aren't realistic. lavellan falls in love with her own god without knowing it. that's so cool. they don't get a traditional happy ending where they settle down somewhere in the status quo. they do get a bittersweet kind of happy ending with a million possibilities. they go together to an impossible place where time doesn't exist and yeah it might all go horribly but i find it so appealing.
