He sees his own misery inside of you, which he thinks is romantic. He thinks its beautiful that the two of you can understand each other's suffering in a way no one else can.

I don't think I need to state that while this is romantic in a literary sense, it's a major red flag

Dude would 100% want to do things that he thinks are "romantic" for couples to do together.

For example - murder-suicide, robbing stores together, double-suicide, arson, planning each other's funerals-

theres not much i can grab there, BUT i think its worth noting the mannequin and the spiders, and how theyre probably related to skiddad. the mannequin is seen moving and/or trying to prevent people from escaping or hurting lila (sm6, sm5 where bob tries to catch her)

judging by this picture, i like to think bob came from a more wealthy family. though, this can just be him in a business meeting, or some other formal event.

my personal idea, is that he was raised in a wealthy family, and eventually left home to go venture outwards and find some quiet peace in wherever-the-fuck-sm-takes-place. small town n stuff.

there, he worked at boys & grillz, selling to kids all around town, and specifically lila. now, to me, its not exactly clear how or why bob got into cannibalism. from what i see, its not exactly a metaphor for anything (besides like, idk, the fact his name is a pun on beezlebub, gluttony) and my only guess can just be the cult. or he was just.. hungry LMFAO

but, what i find the most interesting, is that bob couldve been a family figure (or family friend) to lila. which could explain the theory i have, that lila is the one who caught bob and put him in jail in the first place. theyre close, and lila accidentally digging too deep or stumbling upon bobs secretive cannibalistic tendencies can explain why he went out to kill her (sm1). once thrown back in prison, having help of the cult, he escaped again and tried to hurt lila AND her child, but once again, failed. (and ended up getting fucking killed in the process)

also, i like to think that bob was.. probably found at a low point with his cannibalism, and given a chance out to join the cult. idk. he probably escaped on his own in sm1 though

his role does not seem clear to me, but i like to think he was skiddad's right hand man, and once he died, bob took his place. i mean, in my eyes, he must atleast be in some high authority.

my favorite one to explore so far, eyes. i love eyes, specifically because of the fact we know NOTHING of their ability and their reasoning of why they inhabit this earth. to me, theyre a parasitic alien. sent, or either just out of hunger to drain the planet. i like to think that they desire to grab the human race, and put it under their control. whether it be hatred, for sadistic fun, or just for their own satisfaction. maybe controlling humans factor into their feeding. who knows.

anyway, thats where the cult comes in. tricking and playing with humans, eventually getting skiddad to lead all these people along.

my idea of eyes powers, really comes down to this. this is only what we have seen throughout sm2-sm6

-changing humans eye color when an inhumane presence is spotted or near.

this isnt tooo important, but i think it should be added. though, unknown why bobs eyes changed. could just be his relation to the cult.

-spectating through the stars

eyes is seen throughout the episodes looking out through the sky, this could be that they are fond of skid and pump, and want to see what danger they could be in. or, theyre just curious of the two little guys' lives.

-manipulation, brainwashingggg, hypnotizing?

this is kind of a stretch, but in the end credits, and in the end of the episode itself, gregor bows to eyes and most likely put under their control. end credits wise, gregor is seen with moloch, being held up while the cult is around them. gregor could be used as a tool to summon demons and eldritch creatures alike to help take over the planet. or wreck havoc. or whatever.

but other than that, thats my idea of eyes. thumbs up.... i wonder if they can die? otherwise everyones screwed lmfao

johns daughter is teased through pictures and drawings. it is either thought she died in the housefire in sm4, or was kidnapped, and is currently being held hostage. i like the held hostage situation better, because it adds greater stakes.

we dont know much about her, but she seems to be a bubbly young girl, and john is grief-stricken once he loses her. also, i feel its implied that he is divorced.

my idea, is that multiple cult members helped with the operation, and kidnapped JD while she was sleeping.

see, this is good (on the cults end) for multiple reasons.

while it doesnt remove john off their trail, it does deteriorate him with the loss of his child. though, if anything this makes him more determind to stop the cult.

BUT, they burned the evidence too, he is now rather powerless unless he gains all his evidence back, which would take a while.

idk. i imagine the cult try to bargain with john. and why i think of this, is because of the little poster thats likely to be a spoiler/hint for future episodes.

i mean, long hair, tealish smoke.. it could be JD being possessed? and john having to pick and choose between getting off the cults ass, or having his daughter back (and alive). shrug. thats just my theory.

now, this is awesome because theres a very clear tie to skid and the cult. especially with skiddad and stuff.

we know from sm2, that skid is immune to eye's stun/dazing, so this can easily lead us to the fact that skiddad was connected to the cult a little before skid was born.

also! i wanna make it super clear with how lila tries to erase skiddad from everything. countless photos torn apart (specifcally of skiddads face), even ones in the attic.

lila seems to be awfully protective of skid, fearful of the cult in its entirety, but also mournful of what her husband had become. and having to possibly murder him in fear and protection of her and her son being involved.

now, holy shit, i was NOT expecting the thieves to be apart of the cult, but it does make sense. my idea is that they were sent to rob lila's house specifically so that they could retrieve anything of skiddad and cult related stuff.

their failed attempts seem to be irking candy dealer, and he gives them a good warning before going away. tbh. these guys are silly dumb dumbs. i love them.

ALSOO, that spider. right. do you think that was skiddad trying to scare them away....

i feel its worth mentioning these, as they seem like a bind to those in the cult.

i think me and @deadbatzz talked about this, but we had this idea that if anyone was bound to the cult (whether by necklace or just joining), theyd be like. sent into purgatory, no release from life, just frozen in this half dead and half alive state. yeah. (though, dexters another story, as he was like. possessed and then murder in their own body. AND not to mention the happy fella dolls, but those arent part of the cult.)

the theory is, is that the cult is powered, or just has some significance with candy.

Lorenzo Berkshire is Hogwarts’ resident pretty boy. And he definitely knows it.

He likes the attention. Thrives on it really. A magnet for the spotlight.

For the most part you really steer clear of the rowdy group of Slytherin boys. They’re loud, and egotistical, and just not worth the headache.

The first time you run into Enzo is quite literal. You’re agitated enough with the boy as it is, he and his friends had been causing a ruckus in the library for the past hour and you were just done.

You don’t realize that the boy had appeared behind you in the maze of shelves until it’s too late and suddenly you’re in a mess of tangled limbs, sprawled across the floor.

Enzo, of course, is used to girls melting in his hand and naturally tries to charm you, but you’re having none of it, stalking off before he’s able to even get a name.

But boy does he love a challenge.

The next day, he sidles up next to you in the corridor, ramping up the charm as he insists on walking you to your next class.

He’s not at all prepared for the sharp bite of your words. Usually girls are falling over themselves to agree with every little thing he says, but your witty, sarcastic responses catch him off guard.

Everything about you really throws him for a new one. And he’s just so intrigued.

He tries approaching you again in the library, attempting to talk up the novel you're reading. (It goes horribly. After that encounter, you're half convinced he's illiterate.)

But he's just obsessed.

He likes the way that you’re pretty and confident, and yet seem to slip into the shadows, hiding in plain sight. And the way you’re willing to go toe-to-toe with him.

He continues popping up, despite your rather clear initial disinterest. But as you spend more time together, he begins to grow on you slowly, more and more. Like a mold. Or a fungus.

One day, you notice that Enzo is significantly more agitated than normal. Broody and clearly in some type of mood.

You know it’s none of your business, but the library is unusually quiet and you can’t seem to get any reading done- so you bite the bullet and ask what’s bothering the boy.

And boy does it come pouring out. The wreckage that is his home life, the pressure of having eyes on him all the time, the fact that Mattheo and Theodore had somehow managed to flood their dorm.

It was a side of Enzo you'd never seen before. You weren't actually completely convinced that he even had human emotions before this. But it was nice.

He'll later be very shocked that his depressive rant is what somehow won you over. (Trauma Bond™️)

It all spirals from there though. It starts with hesitant fingers brushing each other from across the table, then "friendly" cuddling by the library fireplace, then stolen kisses in the crevices of the corridors.

Enzo loves showering you with love and attention. He has no qualms about planting a warm kiss on your lips in front of a crowd, but is equally content to smother you in the privacy of your own dorm room.

His favorite thing is the way you trace little phrases on the back of his hand or his arm when you don't want to say it out loud and has picked up on doing it himself when he can tell that you're stressed.

You balance each other out in the best way and Enz loves the fact that he has you all to himself.

Some thoughts on Empress Ki

There are a lot of things I love about this drama (there is a reason it's in my Top 5 sageuks) but one of them is how uncompromisingly bleak it is.

Nobody gets a happy ending because you cannot have one in this environment. It does not matter if you keep your soul and your morals and your heroism (Wang Yu) or you descend as a way to survive (Sung Nyang and Togon) - there is no way out.

It's a never-ending circle of power hunger and trauma and damage and it forces people into their roles regardless of how they started. For example, El Temur is not a uniquely power hungry minister and Togon is not a uniquely put upon emperor - it all repeats in endless cycle. I love that after Togon takes down El Temur, there is no end in triumph. I am thinking of a scene early on where Togon literally grovels and begs El Temur, the man who killed his father and brother and tried to kill him. In any traditional revenge narrative, he'd eventually take the man down and yay, victory, the end as we flashback to that grovel scene and go aha see it was worth it. But not in this drama. El Temur is taken down and so Togon avenges his family and SN avenges hers (sort of - it's pretty telling that she started out wanting revenge on Togon but ends up with him; nothing is clear cut) but guess what? They don't get to ride into the sunset because we then have El Temur mark 2 - Bayan. The whole system is set up for talented ambitious non royals to try to control the royal and the royal to fight them and everyone ending up a monster.

I mean, at the very end of the drama, as Sung Nyang is left as the Dowager Empress, it would not surprise me if she will end up another version of Togon's mother, ruling through her child, more power obsessed than anything. This drama is very much "power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely" but with an even bleaker caveat - but if you don't fight for it, you will be killed.

The thing is, when I see the young SN and Togon in the beginning eps of my rewatch, my heart hurts for them - SN still so right and idealistic (and thinking the worst is behind her) and Togon a puppy even if seeds of damage and madness are there (how could they not be with his background.) If they saw themselves at the end of the drama, they'd be horrified. This drama is very much not about love healing - love does not heal or save any of the main three or any of the supporting. But it's not even the narrative of loving dooming you either. It's just that love may make dwelling in a pit of monsters more bearable but it won't heal you or defeat the monsters.

Both Togon and SN had only two choices - Togon from birth and SN from the moment she ended up in Yuan - become a monster or die. With or without love, that calculus does not change. Loving Togon did not make SN worse just as loving WY did not make her better - she did what she did to survive regardless of any romantic entanglements. And with Togon, love did save him in a sense - without SN to fixate his incredible powers of obsession on he'd have become a monster without any shred of any feeling, as opposed to a monster in love. Because the choice is not to heal or chose darkness for either of them tbh - it's what you grab onto in that darkness, if anything. (The fact that the greatest, most useful, most loving gift he ever gave SN was that epic murder spree he went on once he found he was dying, in order to clear the path of safety for SN and their son about sums it up.)

And yet - the drama does not give you even a relief of "well this is Yuan and its royal monsters, it's better elsewhere." It’s everywhere. Wang Yu is noble, smart, competent, tough, and utterly incapable of relinquishing his soul. All that gets him is death. But then crossing any line to keep himself and his loved ones safe got Togon death too. And all of SN's drive and strength got her utter loneliness and a path of eventually becoming a monster to be removed by the next generation in a never-ending cycle.

Anyway, gonna stop but god I love this drama!

The Resurrectionist Pub

I have a lots of thoughts and observations about the resurrectionist pub lol

okay so first off, I think its going to play a pretty big role in s3; I mean, its called the resurrectionist, and like the second coming is Jesus coming back yeah? Its also got a ton of easter eggs and tie-ins with a lot of what happens in the background of the season.

To start, in an interview with David Tennant, apparently an idea for the sequel title Terry and Neil had tossed around was "668: The Neighbor of the Beast" (hilarious tbh) and the address of the pub is 66 Goat Gate!! I mean, it could just be a little easter egg, but either way i am now INTRIGUED

I'll add more under the cut

okay so next, when we see the pub, the sign flips and its the Doctor from the grave robbing flashback. Later in he episode, Aziraphale tells Crowley (and us) that this is because that dude killed himself and so they named the pub after him (i guess as a way for his ideas to 'resurrect'?). Why would this information be relevant to us? It seems pretty clear that there is something closely tied to heaven and hell with this pub. I think it is also worth mentioning that in response to this ask, Neil says that they were always going to use the song Everyday for this, because that was the song he and Terry had decided would be best (and funniest) to signify that the end times were near.

To tie this into the actual s1 and s2 lore, I think maybe it was part of the Ineffable Plan that Gabe and Beez would meet here, like this song, fall in love, and tamper with the jukebox as an accidental way of sending a warning. I wish we knew more about the plan that Gabe refused, but alas, I think maybe this meeting place wasn't so random. Also worth noting that the matchbox Gabe used for the fly is from the Resurrectionist pub, and we get this in episode 1:

It seems that they really wanted the audience to read that, but I can't figure out why- even with the job flashback we get later I'm pretty sure nobody was breathing fire. Is it just a funny pun because its matches? why is it pulled from Job (I'm sure there are plenty of other witty bible verses about fire)? Its interesting to me that so many different aspects of s2 are all pointing to this pub. Not to mention that later when Gabe quotes the thing about the stars singing we can literally hear God's voice in unison with his. ((tangential other theory I have- was God trying to speak through him? is the Metatron lying about how close he is to God?))

so, a quick recap, we know that an idea for the sequel novel that was never written was 668: Neighbor of the Beast, and we know that Terry picked out the song Everyday to be the one to signify the end times getting closer. We know that the matches are from this pub and that they reference Job. We know that throughout the season, Gabe is spitting bible verses with God herself in the background. We also know that both the grave robbing flashback doctor guy has ties to the pub. I don't really know where to go from here theory wise, but yeah, there's definitely some juicy stuff coming and I can't wait to make sense of it all next season!! I'm here to ask a question about LoZ. so, I have a friend who plays and recommended it to me because she knows I love open world games and breath of the wild is (apparently) one of the best open world games ever and I've been hesitating ever since. she might be a little biased tho lol

and like. there's a sale going on right now for botw, so the recommendation just kind made itself known in my memory again

anyway so, basically I'm here to ask if it'll be worth it? I mean, the general consensus wherever I go seems to be 'amazing, go get it u won't regret it'

I think it's obvious by now that I am a //massive// Zelda fan so tbh I'm likely no less bias than your friend lmfao, but that being said I'm going to try and give as balanced a response as possible!

Pros

BotW is beautiful, and I mean b e a u t i f u l . The graphics have this lovely watercolour quality to them as an ode to the artstyle used in Skyward Sword, but more crisp & refined. Unlike a lot of the big open world games (looking at you skyrim) BotW doesn't sacrifice colour or try to be "gritty", but rather leans into that soft-apocalypse, studio ghibli vibe.

The narrative is equally lovely and fulfilling, and depending upon what order you collect Link's memories in you will likely have a different gameplay experience. You'll also meet a lovable cast of characters to whom you'll end up unreasonably attached, which will ultimately break your heart in the end,,, I apologise in advance, but I promise you it's worth the pain.

On that note, do it for my bitch-ass bird son. You'll know him when you meet him.

Link can jump. This will mean very little to you if you've not played a LoZ game before, but my boy can fucking JUMP.

You can also climb pretty much everything (bar like one specific material) which means if you want to get to that Cool Thing Over There, then with a mix of mix of ungodly arrogance, sheer willpower, and a lot of stamina potions, you can. If you suffer from the magpie brain (ie. you see a new shiny thing and become immediately sidetracked from your original objective) this will mean that you take about 10x as long as you should to do literally anything, but my god is it fun.

The soundtrack gives me feelings that I cannot put into words, and the voice acting is //phenomenal//. Importantly, Link himself does not have a voice actor which is the only correct choice considering he's been heavily implied throughout the entire LoZ franchise to be an elective mute, and I would have //hated// hearing him speak.

Link is also just a very sweet & funny golden retriever boy who occasionally sasses back like nobody's business. 10/10 protagonist.

If you like women, you will like them even more by the end. If you don't like women, there's a 90% chance you'll seriously reconsider it upon meeting [REDACTED].

The game has something for everyone: you like exploring? Well you're going to do a lot of that. You like collectables? There are so many outfits (that you can dye to your liking!) and a wholeass compendium to fill out. You like puzzles? You'll certainly find your fair share. You like combat? The basic mechanics are what you'd expect with there are enough different enemy types to keep it interesting, but dO NOT FIGHT A LYNEL WITHOUT MAKING SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH WEAPONS BC THEY WILL BREAK AND LEAVE YOU WITH A VERY ANGRY VERY MEAN MAN TRYING TO KILL YOU.

It is genuinely very good value for money, and even more so if you can get it on sale! Not only do you have the mainline game & all its side-quests, but there's also the expansion pass, and, of course, an entire sequel just ready and waiting!

Cons

Sometimes the open world can feel a little too open. Considering the game's context, it makes sense, but comparatively games like Skyrim feel more densely packed with Things To Do, whereas BotW has several areas of overgrown nothingness that are lovely to look at, but not especially interesting (though this is better rectified in TotK).

You can't swim underwater. This was not rectified in TotK, though I dearly wish it had been.

A lot of fans used to complain about the temple format of p much every Zelda game up until this point, so the developers essentially removed temples altogether and instead replaced them with only four (technically optional) Divine Beasts, plus Hyrule Castle itself. I... did not like this. I'm a big puzzle girlie, and though BotW has shrines scattered across the landscape—most of which are puzzle-based—I personally felt that this substitute was lacking in comparison to the original. TotK does improve on this by reintroducing temples, but I still could have gone for a few more (Skyward Sword was the opposite of this, with very linear gameplay which a lot of people hated, but I personally will stand by SS's Ancient Cistern until my dying breath, and Twilight Princess had some really innovative temples that I have replayed several times over).

On a semi-adjacent note, the final boss just... wasn't my favourite. That's not to say it was bad, only as boss fights go I've had better (I did, however, like the final segment of that fight).

You will develop an immediate fear response to the Guardian music.

Ultimately though, I absolutely do think you should buy it, and am jealous that you'll get to have that bright-eyed bushy-tailed first-time experience, because believe me, if I could erase my memories and play BotW all over again, I would.

so like. last haruka saw of takane was her dead body, he had no reason to NOT think she wasn't in a similar state as him. like in some limbo place. bc tbh does haruka even know where he is... and from watching everything thru konoha he might know as much as kenjirou being a danger but that's it. cuz we don't know if he ever explicitly did anything to reveal in front of konoha that he is not Really kenjirou. ofc there are the hcs that the people inside the daze move freely and can see each other but personally i never interpreted it like this. i like the hc theyre all alone bc makes for better post str angst and i like the idea that ayano CAN do this but doesn't because she is too upset she could not save haruka and takane and is too ashamed to face haruka. and also something something self punishment i dont deserve to hang out with my friend and receive updates from what he can see with awakening eyes (but doesnt stop to think it'd be nice for haruka to have someone). i think ayano probably shows up to haruka at least once Largely based on his line in the eighth novel when she appears. he says "she was always unannounced" or something like that and yeah maybe he meant back then when they were alive ayano had always been kind of sudden and unexpected idk lol but i like to interpret it as in ayano suddenly showing up in haruka's daze like. hi. I think him not deleting himself is a better way for the story when it comes to meeting the people he's affected, I just think that the way he deleted himself was better way for the story for himself. I think they handled his attempted suicide and attempt to fix things really well, because not only does it show that you can't actually change the past or future of teyvat unless you're an alien variable, but also that he was willing to take his life for a person he spent hundreds of years "hating" just because he learned they didn't betray him. It just fits really well with how he still hadn't moved on from the death of the first people who let him exist as himself.

I'm explaining this kinda messy because I'm hungry rn :/ but what I mean is I think what they did with the story was the best for both teyvat lore in general and also his own self, but if he's to meet the inazuma squad in an event or something I think it's gonna be kinda messy to write it well. Like maybe they'll just include a line that's like "oh yeah the traveller told me about you etc etc" and I don't really want that, but I also don't want one of those black background white text "wanderer explains what he did in the past" so even though I really like the way it's written I'm kinda worried for the conclusion of his own arc (kaedehara buddhist enlightenment) because I can't think of a way to show it well without it being either very long or anticlimactic

YESSSS i agree with you onn that. i think ive talked about how i do like (from a storytelling perspective, not.. you know.. LOL) the severity and SWIFTNESS of his decision to erase (kill) himself. it was very stomach-dropping in the moment if you were someone that already cared about him. i actually remember putting the game down and walking over to my roommate to just sit in silence for a little bit LMFAOOO. it exemplifies how impulsive & swayed by emotion he is and just how deeply his self hatred motivates his actions as well as his EXTREME DESIRE to love and trust others (and how he felt like he couldnt for so so so long). but i also think it effectively shook any mistaken preconceptions other players might have had if they werent as invested in his character (people who thought he was irredeemably evil or inherently malicious in character, it's pretty hard to believe that about someone who can regret their actions so much and so quickly and immediately try to correct what he's done at his own expense). i'll try and go find & reblog my initial thoughts ab the quest tbh i wanna go reread what i wrote.

from like an authorial perspective, erasing himself from irminsul feels very much like one of those "i want to write this so bad because i think it is a fascinating development for this character, but it does not fit in with what i want to do with this character in the future and therefore might be more trouble than its worth as it undermines other plot points i would like to achieve with this character" which when i encounter that i usually write the scene to get the inspiration OUT but treat it as a separate timeline or a "what if."

this is legit completely personal opinion so it doesnt rly fucking matter at all but i honest to god don't find "no matter what you do, the past cannot be changed" something to be particularly interesting. so i guess thats why i have so many qualms with this direction. maybe its bc like. duh. to me. and maybe bc im not particularly invested in the overall story, so i didn't catch anything it might move along in the traveler's development. So i guess thats why im a believer in 'this could have been done differently and better. some Other way for him to find out about niwa.' especially because i've already had a myriad of qualms with the storytelling regarding scara before this point. so my perspective is a bit warped by opinions .

i think i just HATTTE the clunkiness that i expect to follow in regards to his character relationships. like there is something so uncomfortable about it to me like, i just.. u word it very well. it's gonna be Messy. and im always stressed about "messy," especially because i already felt like the storytelling behind his resolution was Already messy. the quest itself re-iterated his past .. so many times... i remember getting Annoyed... (through a) already accessible lore, b) that stupid academic paper, c) irminsul scene d) the "storybook", ANDDD e) re-living his memories... it felt very repetitive, almost overkill to me). so im just dreading what's to come especially if has to re-hash things to characters in-game that have already been explained to the player literally four sometimes five times over. i just want to get to new developments, NEW plot-points, NEW storylines and i want them to be COMPELLING and i want him to develop COMPLEX and MOVING and STRONG character relationships.

Favourite cute scene: Ga On calling Yo Han while he's drunk (Chapter 20)

Favourite angry scene: Ga On arguing with Professor Min — it was SO cathartic AND fun to write. Also, the whole "my devil" thing? Of course that's a favourite (Chapter 17)

Favourite angsty scene: Yo Han's surprise visit and the talk that follows on Ga On's terrace (Chapter 7)

Favourite happy scene: Ga On and Elijah ganging up on Yo Han and being little shits by not giving him what he expects — it's a happy AND funny scene (Chapter 23)

Favourite flirty scene: Ga On and Yo Han being flirty and domestic while doing the dishes — but the one in the kitchen the morning after is a close second (Chapter 23 and 24)

I have a niche, I guess you could say. And even if a lot of my longer fics contain more than just fluff, you know you'll always get both that and a happy ending eventually. It's just how I roll. I want to make people happy 💜

72. What’s your favorite writing compliment you’ve gotten?

Oh gosh. That's really difficult actually? Because there are so many that warm my heart and make me so very proud of my writing. But, in the end, I think my favourite — or the ones that impact me the most — are the ones telling me what my fics have given my readers.

Everything from "this fic helped me through a rough time" to "I saw myself in this fic and it made such a difference to me" to "this fic helped me work through my trauma" and "I'm rereading this again since it makes me feel so warm and happy." I am honestly stunned to hear just how big of a difference my writing has made to some of my readers. I don't set out to do that because I don't really think I have the qualifications, but if my readers gain emotional stability, strength, or just joy from my fics, that's the biggest compliment I can receive.

And, quite honestly, it's also the biggest reason why I insist on posting my fanfics and why I didn't lock them after the whole AI scare. Because I KNOW how important they are to people and didn't want to take them away from those who might need them.

I don't feel obligated to post, but I choose to do so because if I can offer just one single person some relief and reprieve, it's worth it. I mean, the attention and lovely comments are ALSO super nice, but they don't motivate me half as much as knowing that I can help people.

I really want to go to the gym 5 days a week. I want to work my arms 3 days a week. My chest twice a week, my abs twice a week. My back twice a week and my legs twice a week. Idk how to spread it out. Idc about my leg progress tbh.. my legs already look sexy and muscular before i even joined lol I just want to feel the burn...

I love the burn and the machines are helpful bc I was thinking about doing dumbbell leg exercises and then i was like but I got to hold the dumbbells which puts pressure on my arms and therefore it may prevent me from doing my arms and back on Friday... so I'll stick to machines. I'm trying to figure out a way to spread it out.

Ideally I'd go like Monday for arms and chest, Tuesday for abs and legs, Wednesday for arms and back, Thursday I'd take a break. Friday I'd go for arms and chest. Saturday I'd go for legs and abs. Idk... I'm trying to figure it out.

I'm going to pair 90% of my biceps routine with back days.... and do my shoulders and triceps on arm days regularly....

Id like to work my arms 3 days a week, my abs twice a week, my chest twice a week and my legs twice a week. Idk...

I don't want to hurt myself. I got my testosterone shot today and appearantly testosterone helps rebuild muscle via protein.. so recovery should be easier.

It's not going to snow Friday so I don't think I'm going tomorrow bc my abs still hurt.

My arm pain is not bad. My forearms are okay. They hurt a tiny bit but nothing like before. My shoulders are sore and my triceps. But not badly. Friday I'm going do back and biceps day. I may throw in shoulder and tricep dumbbell exercises but not many and nothing involving the bicep since back day will make up for that.

My abs really do still hurt. I did too many workouts for them for a beginner. It's not extremely painful or anything.. it's getting better. I feel like superman when I'm there. I did like 8 ab workouts and felt nothing with 3 reps on each workout. 24 hours later I felt it. And i read you should only do 3-5 workouts per muscle group.. I'm trying to find a 5 day a week workout routine that aligns with what i want. Cause like what I'm doing is working. I could use some help with figuring out how to spread it out though...

Idk its confusing. I'm worried about sleep but my mind is like gym? Gym? Gym? When can we go? What do we do when we go? How do we not overtrain but still be effective?

I mean I did 15 exercises today between all my arm and chest exercises... not including sets.... and not including my legs...

I have a feeling by Friday or worst case Saturday I'll be doing back and biceps day with some triceps and shoulders dumbbells easily..

I hope my abs recover so I can do that the other day. I just want to gym.

I have been seeing some other gym rats while I'm there and one guy holds weights and dances. Like he just dances.. and spins around. It's quite a show. I'd do that but I mean I actually want to use my advantage to my advantage.

My testosterone level is fucking sky high right now. And this upcoming week if I do shit right and don't over train... I can workout more and get more gains.

What i don't like about workout programs is they don't usually use my workouts.... I like my workouts.... some of them i have to cut out bc of my forearms hence the back and biceps day....... but I mean yea it's confusing.

Idk. One of my favorites is the standing dumbbell hammer curls. But after today I realized it may not be worth the potential forearm damage. Unfortunately. It's a great workout but it does require forearm strength and may not be the best for me and my tennis elbow... unfortunately.

I took Ibuprofen a couple minutes ago to try to help my abs... my arms feel fine. I'm not in pain really but we build muscle by making microtears... which causes inflammation... and my abs may not be capable of doing shit for a week from the day I did them at this rate bc I'm not joking they don't kill but they hurt enough I'd be stupid to work them out. I don't want Ibuprofen to be a huge part of my life. I've only taken it 3 days not in a row but since I started going to the gym... I think i can get this to be something I dont need but I got to do like 5 maximum workouts on my abs at a time... I think i got a good program. I'm just making up for beginners mistakes.

“YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND!”

“What? What don’t I understand!? Fuck, Y/n, I work day and night for our future and when I come home you’re tangled arms with my best friend? My fucking best friend.” Boyfriend!Mark Lee outbursts, his eyes all blurry from anger or betrayal—he really couldn’t pinpoint the difference right now. All he sees is red. 

“Please, Mark, listen to me.” You plead, not being any better than him. Everything was happening too fast and you were scared the situation might get out of hand then it already is. “Please, it was just a misunderstanding. Donghyuck didn’t mean any harm, he was just—”

“—They warned me about you.” Mark didn’t even let you finish. His glare was cold and his voice was deep. You stopped talking and stared back at him silently, heart dropping. 

“What…what do you mean?”

“They said you only used me for money. I didn’t want to believe it. Shit. How can I be so blind?”

“Y-You…you think I used you?” You were hurt, a look of disbelief flashing through your eyes, “Is that what you think of me?” 

“You should’ve told me the truth.” Mark was too blinded by his own pain to realize his mistake. He spat those words as if he meant them, and he did. He meant them more than anything. 

It was useless trying to explain to him, you realized. He would never listen to you. But still, the memories you two used to share kept holding you back. With a small hope in your heart, you shakingly reached for his hand. 

But Mark pulled away from you harshly, his action only breaking your heart more. 

“I wished I never loved you.” 

You let out a soft scoff, still frozen in place. A shaky sob erupted from your throat and then the tears you were trying to ignore came out flowing. Why wouldn’t he listen? You’d always understand him, letting him explain, but why can’t he do the same for you? It was like the filters of life were suddenly stripped down and you were forced to watch the cruel reality. 

He thinks of you of someone else. 

“Mark, I love you.” You breathed out, voice unstable from all the overwhelming emotions drowning you. “And I will never stop doing so. But if you want to let go of all we’ve been through, if you’re doubting me over something so simple…”

“Just leave. Please.” Mark didn’t look at you. He just couldn’t. He bought a hand to rub his jaw and exhaled shakily, squeezing his eyes shut when he heard the front door close. When he was all alone, in the apartment where you both used to do everything together, he broke down and tried to cover his ears to stop the mocking voices in his head. 

“Y/n?” 

Just by Haechan’s voice, you started to cry once again. The boy’s eyes softened before wrapping an arm around your waist, pulling you closer to his warm body. “What’s wrong? Where’s Mark?” 

You couldn’t bring yourself to reply, but you shook your head repeatedly, gripping tightly on his shirt until your knuckles turned white. It was only when Haechan understood. 

“I’m going to kill him.” 

“No, no, please,” You manage to choke out, “Please, it wasn’t his fault.” 

“Y/n, are you fucking with me right now? It’s fucking snowing and you’re just wearing pajamas. Where’s the shithead when you need him?” Haechan spat, full of rage and worry. He pulled you in and closed the door, repeatedly caressing your arms in a way to warm you up. 

“H-He broke up with me, Donghyuck.” 

“What? Why?” Haechan’s jaw dropped as he asked in a harsh whisper. You pulled away from him and tried to calm yourself down to speak properly, but Mark’s words kept messing up with you. “He saw your coat—you left it last night by the couch. He asked why it was there, a-and I tried to tell him but he just a-assumed w-we were…” 

“Shit.” 

“I don’t know what to do. I tried to explain, but he wouldn’t listen.” You started to hyperventilate, your breath shortening and your chest tightening. It felt like someone was punching the oxygen out of your lungs and everything was blurry. 

Haechan immediately jumped into action, cupping your cheeks and making you stare back into his eyes. “Hey, hey, look at me. Just me. Listen to my voice. Yeah, just like that. Breathe in, breathe out. You’re doing an amazing, good job, I’m so proud of you. That’s right, just focus on me.” 

When you calmed down a bit, Haechan squeezed your shoulder and tried to hide the fact that he too, was angry, but you could see the rage circling his dark orbs. 

“Please don’t hurt him…”

“He hurt you.” 

You closed your eyes, opening your mouth to speak but no words came out. Mark Lee did hurt you and you had no excuse for that. But you know he’s hurting too. 

“Does he even know why I came over yesterday?” Haechan tried to keep his voice stable. And when you shook your head, his anger only flared more. “Does he at least know about your panic attacks?” 

And you shook your head again. 

“Fuck, Y/n,” he cursed, running his fingers through his hair, “I want to make him pay.” 

Three weeks.

It’s been three weeks since he told you to leave. But still, despite the anger and betrayal, Mark still found himself staring by the door, waiting and hoping you’d come back. 

You didn’t. 

“You can’t expect her to come running back to you right after you chased her out, hyung.” Jeno sighed, catching the older man’s undivided attention. “She cheated on me. I don’t want her to come back.” Mark lied, knowing fully well what he truly wanted.

“Did she tell you that?” 

“What?” 

“Did Y/n tell you she cheated?” 

That question made Mark blank out for a moment before he snapped back into reality and shook his head. “Well, s-she wasn’t clear on it. All she said was Haechan came by and something, something—she was stammering all over and breathing heavily. When I asked what they did, she answered he hugged her. Then I snapped.” 

Jeno observed him and hummed, smacking his lips together. “Did she look guilty? Scared? Surprised?”

“Hurt. She looked hurt.” Mark whispered, your trembling lips and teary eyes still haunting him. 

“Did you let her explain?” 

That stunned Mark. He furrowed his eyebrows and opened his mouth, realizing that he never let you explain in the first place. “I-I don’t think so…but the stammering and she was panicking. I assumed it meant she was guilty? I don’t know, man. I just snapped.” 

“Hyung,” Jeno exhaled, “Haechan has been your best friend ever since daycare. Do you really think he’s the type to steal your girl? The key to every relationship is communication, and maybe that’s what you and Y/n had missed.” 

“She’s not here.” 

Mark almost winced at Haechan’s tone of voice and he did look down at his feet in shame, even if he didn’t know why. “What happened that day?”

“Oh, so now you want to listen?” Haechan scoffed, “You had three weeks, Mark. Three fucking weeks. Where were you when she needed you most? Where were you when she was crying your name? Huh?” 

“You were there though.” 

Haechan licked his lips, analyzing how much of a mess Mark looked. There was a bittersweet message behind those sentences. “I’m not the one she loves. You know that. I can’t give you the answers you want, because it is not my business either. You know where she is, I know you do.” 

Mark's lips trembled, then he buried his cold fingers on the pockets of his coat. He turned around to leave as Haechan was right, he does know where you are. It’s where you two promised to be whenever one felt lost.

“Hey, someone’s here for you.” 

“Huh?” You confusingly look up to your coworker. She shrugged, “I don’t know. But he said it’s important or something. Go, I’ll cover for you.” 

With furrowed eyebrows, you smile at the children you volunteered to take care of and clasped your hands together. “Guys! I’ll be right back. While I’m gone, no fighting, okay? I’ll get those snacks I promised!”

The children cheered then continued to paint while your coworker attended to the little girl having trouble mixing purple and pink. You exit the room, wiping your tinted hands on your apron and loosely tying your hair while walking outside to the playground just in front of the daycare. 

When you were able to take a glimpse of a familiar coat, you froze. 

Mark slowly turned around to face you, his eyes immediately scanning your figure. You’ve grown thinner and paler, he noticed and couldn’t help but let worry fill his heart. Then he remembered you were still a meter away from him, so he stepped forward, eyes meeting yours. 

“How’s the children?” 

“They’re…painting.” You reply breathlessly, not understanding a thing. You shook your head and stepped back when he went closer. “W-What are you doing here? I thought you didn’t want to do anything with me. I thought—” 

“Please tell me I was wrong. That whatever I thought happened didn't happen.” Mark pleaded, looking down. He sniffled and looked up to meet your beautiful eyes once again, a tear leaving his. “I want you to prove me wrong—no, I want to be wrong.” 

“Mark…” 

“Please.” 

You let out a shaky exhale, the hurtful memories from three weeks ago mocking you once again. But you pushed this aside and carefully placed a hand on his arm, gently dragging him with you inside the daycare.

“Apple juice?” You asked, handing him a box. Mark’s widened eyes were stuck on the juice then back at you before hesitantly reaching for one. “Thank you.” 

You gave him a small smile and poked your straw on yours, taking one sip. “I know you've been busy lately, with work literally being an ass and everything so I tried to not add to your burden. I want you to feel relaxed whenever you come home—I want you to feel that it’s alright to take a break whenever I’m around.”

He slightly flinched but didn’t show any more reaction other than drinking on his apple juice. 

“You do know about my panic attacks, right?” 

“I do.” Mark breathed out, afraid of what he was about to hear next but a bigger part of him was somehow grateful. Maybe it really wasn’t what he thought it was. 

“I had another one recently.” You bitterly chuckled, biting your lip. “I couldn’t breathe that day, and I was all alone at home. I wanted to call you, I really do, but I remember how stressed you already are at work. So I called Hyuck.” 

“And…you two hugged?” 

“I guess it was his way to calm me down. He was too focused to ever realize that he left his coat.” You shrug, hands starting to shake. You tried to stop them but Mark had already placed his hand on top of yours, both of you sharing an eye contact that holds more than words could ever tell.

“I tried to explain…” 

“I know. I’m sorry. I’m the worst.” Mark gently pulled you to his side, making your head rest by his shoulder. “I should’ve listened to you, I should’ve understood. But I pushed you away. Shit, I’m such an idiot. The worst of them all.”

“You said you believed them.” You whispered, eyes already starting to sting too. Mark shook his head and placed his lips on the top of your head, closing his eyes in pure content of having you in his arms once again. 

“I lied.”

“You’re such a great liar.” 

“I love you.” Mark pulled away from you just to softly peck your lips. “I love you and I will always be there for you. I will never let you go ever again. Just, please, don’t hide from me anymore. We’ll talk everyday, we’ll talk about everything.”

“Yeah, I’d like that.” You nodded your head, smiling when he connected both your foreheads together.

Time to talk about The First.

Finally feeling confident enough to post this, so I hope you guys enjoy my silly little theory!

Now that PT6 has ended, I wanna talk about my own personal HC about Lupin The First’s involvement with Tomoe! Especially since he was never mentioned again after episode 23--

So in episode 23, during Tomoe's monologue to Mattea, she starts by talking about how Lupin was a prodigy, and had surpassed all her expectations...but it's what she said after this is what really peaked my curiosity.

I found the phrasing she used was really interesting.

"Allowed"

Instead of saying something about she had finished or done all she could at that time, she makes it seem like she suddenly wasn't "allowed" to continue instructing him. Like she was no longer welcomed there(We will bring up what this could mean in the context of her version of the story later!). That's where The First comes in. From now on I'll probably try to refer to him as Isei and Lupin as just...Lupin. It seems like lil Lupin grew up with just his grandfather in the mansion, Isei most likely acting as his guardian and/or father figure, as there was no mention of his father whatsoever throughout that arc(Intentional or not).

During a discussion about Tomoe back in episode 14, Lupin says this:

"Back when I was a kid, my grandpa wanted to see if I was worthy of the Lupin name, so he arranged for an instructor to teach me."

Of course that being Tomoe. I will say that my friend(@greenxlady 💖) pointed out its sorta odd that the greatest thief in the world decided to hire someone else who from we know has no record of being a thief to instruct the newest heir...

Anyhow, back to Isei. He must've found this woman trustworthy enough to have her be around Lupin and train him into becoming a thief...But I feel like he might have caught on that something was suspicious about this lady(Though TBH I feel like it could've started with the situation with the burglar but with so little information it’s hard to tell.)...So one day, he told her that her that her time instructing Lupin had come to an end and that she needed to leave. And obviously she didn't take it too well.

Honestly after all was said and done The First probably felt pretty stupid. Not only had this woman been manipulating the next heir to the Lupin Empire because HE let her inside the mansion, but could have taken him away to never been seen again or straight up killed him. I'm assuming as soon as the maid dresses as Tomoe pulled a gun on Lupin is what made all of those guard open fire, which I feel like that'd be pretty important to mention to The First. And the cherry on top(from what he knew), was she stole everything from his safe only HE was supposed to able to open, and none of that treasure was ever discovered up until now, long after his passing. Dude probably felt so dumb--

Now...let's probably time to consider what was said from Tomoe's story, as I feel it's worth mentioning. But if we're going to explore that angle, I feel that this conversation she has with Lupin in his mindscape is very important to figuring it out.

Hm...

So, in Tomoe's version of the story the time she was "allowed" to instruct Lupin probably came from his grandfather forbade her from ever telling Lupin that she was his real mother.

Now you could say that she's telling the truth here but...the fact that she's know for being a fantastic manipulator and that everything she's said to Lupin(even more so in his mindscape) has been a complete and total lie...I just don't think she's telling the truth. She's once again manipulating him, this time around trying to twist the image of someone she probably knows he clearly looks up to. Making his grandfather seem like the bad guy in this situation, accusing him of doing what's she's doing to Lupin makes HER look better in his eyes and look down on someone he would otherwise see in a positive light, making him more likely to trust her and fall further under Tomoe's control.

...

So...yeah! I think that’s everything I wanted to say about this. I just thought the phrasing Tomoe used, along with her trying to blame Lupin’s grandfather was too interesting to ignore, and wanted to try and explore those ideas a bit. Again, it’s hard to really try and piece things together when you have very little to work with, but this is my own theory/HC on the situation.

This took a LOT longer than I thought it'd take. I actually had this pretty much finished for a few days, but I couldn't find the confidence to actually finish and post it till now. Anyways! I hope you guys like my silly little theory! Feel free to add your own thoughts in the comment/reblogs! 💖
