Pokemon story/art/ask-blog for Benta the Mewtwo

Set in an apocalyptic future where most humans have disappeared and only pokemon remain. And the world is not as it had once been.

Benta, a pokemon who has existed for a long time now, has wandered the crumbling cities and empty roads looking for others who might share his ideals of rebuilding what is left of the world. Perhaps even track down the humans, if there are any left. However, the pokemon all seem to be at odds, more focused on hoarding land and food for survival. Many more are feral and vicious.

As others may find out, he is no ordinary mewtwo, and he might very well be the only one of his kind in a world full of ghosts. But is he the only wanderer? Or are there others?

And is it possible to save this future?

- the art side of these can take anywhere from a day to a few days, depending on what I do exactly style/complexity-wise. Obviously can't do art replies all the time, but sometimes I could get inspired to do something other than text replies! 💕

🎨 comic art

- For the main story! The style for this is different and more uniform than what I'll be using for asks, so it definitely takes longer. I don't typically post until I'm done with a illustration/page set, so it can take a long heckin time. If one part one is 8 pages, I'd say it would clock in at two or three months before it's posted (as long as I'm not sick or somethn). I'm okay with posting peridoic snippet updates from my favorite panels though!

Temp. Edit: I've lowered the number of pages in each part to 4 since I need an easier goal to reach at a time. There's still 24 total! I just need simpler intervals. :T 🖼

Beyond this I have work and need me time, but always thank you, and I appreciate the interest! Benta is one of my comfort OCs so I'm treating this blog about the same. I want it to be a fun and cozy space while I build the apocalypse story lol.

My Opinion on;

Character in general: 🎶Marguerite, don't forget I know who you are We were cut from the same surly star, Like two jewels in the sky sharing fire 🎶 I have fond memories of The Scarlet Pimpernel. I remember feeling quite called out as an Englishman while reading it:

"But, tell me, why should your leader--why should you all--spend your money and risk your lives--for it is your lives you risk, Messieurs, when you set foot in France--and all for us French men and women, who are nothing to you?"

"Sport, Madame la Comtesse, sport," asserted Lord Antony, with his jovial, loud and pleasant voice; "we are a nation of sportsmen, you know, and just now it is the fashion to pull the hare from between the teeth of the hound."

"Ah, no, no, not sport only, Monsieur. . .you have a more noble motive, I am sure for the good work you do."

"Faith, Madame, I would like you to find it then. . .as for me, I vow, I love the game, for this is the finest sport I have yet encountered.--Hair-breath escapes. . .the devil's own risks!--Tally ho!--and away we go!"

There are several instances, in all respects of my life, when my only logical path to make sense of myself is the following maxim: I must really love a challenge. Marguerite goes on quite a journey. From one extreme of the specter to the other, passing by the endless in between while dealing with perhaps the first recorded case of a Lois Lane-Clark Kent/Superman situation within her marriage. She is always enjoyable. Always an intriguing high point of the read.

How they play them: Humanly to the extreme. A quality I dote on in all your muses. I think it would be far simpler to take a character described as exceedingly bright and exceedingly charming and mythologize her with a bit of distance. Instead, you always present their hearts as the clear core of their beings and all of your muses are so much better and so much more complex for it. The Mun: She needs to stop making those comparisons involving Tristan or one day he may casually decide to murder one of her muses for the fun of establishing a point (Granted, there would be some muses whose name would be excluded from that lottery.)

Do I:

RP with them: Yes. Marguerite and Tristan share a strange and always fun friendship that makes them sound like characters from Oscar Wilde when they inhabit the same room. Very healthy for Marguerite's survival since the fact that Tristan likes her means she is off limits for his associates. (I still maintain that her immortal title as "the cleverest woman in Europe" is something that would be received with jealousy in more than a few female members of the Strix) Want to RP with them: Yes.

What is my;

Overall Opinion: A wonderful union of character and writer. I remain unconvinced concerning her real chances of persuading Tristan to increase his liking towards dogs.

You can call me Forest, and I'm 20! I find it amazingly difficult to talk to people and keep a conversation going, so if we happen to speak ooc... I promise it's nothing against you! My social skills are just something else lol, but please let me know if I have said or done anything that upsets you - it'll never be my intention.

I am also perpetually in slow activity mode. My motivation and muse are very fickle, amongst other things in my life that might keep me from being here. This means threads/asks may be dropped over time (unintentionally or due to lack of muse), but you're welcome to ask me about it!

INTERACTING.

For the time being, I am not mutual exclusive; so anyone is welcome to send asks, unprompted or through memes (unless specified in the tags)! Starter calls will be kept mutuals only for my own sanity.

Asks and prompts are the best way to interact with me. Plotting isn't a strength of mine, unfortunately - but I'll likely be up for most things!

With replies, I try to do it oldest to newest, but I am so slow that it doesn't always work out. I also won't reply to every ask I get - this is always due to muse, whether I have inspiration or not... but please don't be discouraged from sending more! You can send as many as you like - the more the merrier, it gives me variety and options to choose from. -> Sometimes I will practise this when sending memes, just know that I'm never expecting you to answer all of them! FOLLOWING.

Two of the main reasons I might not follow back: I'm unfamiliar with your fandom, or I'm not sure how our muses would interact. I prefer to stick to fandoms I know for that reason, but if you have an idea you're welcome to jump in my ask! A secret third reason: I didn't realise/forgot to check.

I guarantee I always read rules before following, if you have one available. I try to send passwords, but it does make me a bit uncomfortable so there might be occasions where I don't - but again, they will have been read! -> I do follow quite a lot of people, so I'm bound to forget rules sometimes. Please give me a little nudge if I break one of yours!

OTHER.

I have a tendency to write King's dialogue in uppercase - not because he's shouting all the time (though he is definitely a loud boy), but because it helps me find his voice better. However, if you'd prefer me to write his dialogue normally because it's difficult to read, let me know and I'll drop it in our interactions!

Important Disclaimer:

Just a friendly reminder that mun ≠ muse. The way I write Astarion doesn’t reflect my personal beliefs or values. Astarion can be cruel, manipulative, toxic, or downright awful, with just enough humanity to keep people around. His trauma and the slow process of overcoming it don’t necessarily make him a better person.

If you see Astarion differently, I respect that. Personally, I’m not on board with the constant romanticization of trauma you see in media and literature, or the idea that surviving and overcoming your past automatically makes you a better person. Sometimes it does, but let’s be honest, it’s not always the case. This isn’t a dig at anyone else’s opinions, so let’s keep things mature.

And finally, it’s perfectly fine to enjoy different portrayals of the same character, no matter how different they may be. After all, roleplay is meant to be fun!

General

If you're part of the 'I can fix him' squad, that's totally fine. I respect it, but I respectfully disagree. Astarion is not a good person (ref.), and I’m not about to water him down just because he occasionally shows a vulnerable side or a sliver of honesty. (Read: He’s a bit of a gremlin and sometimes needs to be metaphorically leashed.)

Astarion can be influenced by those around him, for better or worse, but that doesn’t change his core. So please, don’t expect a sudden personality transplant. However, if it is natural for your character to expect as much, that's perfectly fine IC.

While Astarion is biased toward those he holds dear (see friended/romanced), he’s also a first-class enabler of others' worst instincts and might very well be the naughty little devil whispering in your muse’s ear, regardless of their moral compass. (Again, he’s a naughty pale elf, mate. I don’t know what to tell you.)

Astarion is highly manipulative and plays dirty. He’ll often tug at the heartstrings, even if it means showing a more vulnerable side or digging up trauma, to get what he wants. (And if he does reveal this side to your character, regardless of his motives, it suggests he ‘trusts’ them... at least enough to make use of that trust.)

Just because he’s a morally questionable individual doesn’t mean he’s above doing a good deed now and then. But don’t get it twisted; he’s not doing it out of the goodness of his heart. He’s quite selfish after all. If friended/romanced, he’ll also display care for those he’s close to, in his own peculiar way.

Astarion is a crook and a liar, even to those he cares about. He won’t always speak his mind and might agree to things he doesn’t want, only to regret it later and blame others for 'talking him into it'. There will be instances he’s genuinely a victim, but other times, not so much.

Astarion has his own personal agenda and tends to follow through with it regardless of what someone else may think, sometimes going so far as to not tell people what he's up to, or straight up lying if he finds it convenient.

Friended / Romanced

(Friended/Romanced) While Astarion remains largely indifferent to those he doesn’t know (unless their suffering becomes a nuisance to his own agenda), he does possess a certain fondness for those he holds dear. Thus, what might amuse him when it befalls others is far less entertaining when it affects his beloved. (ref timestamp 1:06~)

(Friended/Romanced) Should your character be close to Astarion and possess a more virtuous nature, he might discreetly carry out some of his more dubious plans behind their back, if only to avoid a confrontation or a reprimand. Of course, the possibility of your character discovering his actions and confronting him remains an open prospect for exploration.

(Romanced) Astarion is fiercely protective of those he cherishes and won’t hesitate to speak up if he feels they are being wronged by anyone other than himself, of course.

(Romanced) Astarion is pansexual and, in my portrayal, he tends to lean towards a dominant role, though with a certain flexibility about it.

Past & Life

Astarion stands as the sole "survivor" of the Ancunin family, a tragic title bestowed upon him after a brutal massacre. While the Gur were indeed the instigators of said attack, whispers abound that others, nursing their own vendettas against the Ancunin lineage, seized the opportunity to join the slaughter. The mastermind behind it all? None other than Cazador, who saw the elimination of the Ancunins as a strategic boon, both politically and personally. His twisted fascination with Astarion played no small part; starving the young elf of his family was merely the first step in grooming him to become part of Cazador's twisted new "family."

Before his transformation, Astarion made a calculated attempt to seduce Cazador, fully aware of his status as a vampire lord and driven by his own obsessive desire for immortality. His efforts brought him closer to Cazador, hoping to be granted the dark gift. However, Astarion was woefully ignorant of the grim details that the path to becoming a vampire first winds through the harrowing existence of a vampire spawn. Cazador, ever the schemer, exploited Astarion’s naivety to further his own nefarious ends.

Astarion is Cazador's second ever spawn, but his oldest still-living one. The first spawn never made it.

Do you think Klaus is Diego’s favorite sibling?

Ah god. LOL.

I find Diego really, REALLY hard to understand. He's one of my favorite Hargreeves kids, and I think he is an EXTREMELY good person, but I also think he trained himself up to survive Reginald's abuse in a way that is very self-thwarting. Diego's whole identity is in protecting and providing for loved ones; WHAT THAT THEN MEANS is that loved ones have to be WEAKER than he, and have to, on some level, be NEEDY, OR HIS SELF-SCHEMA SHATTERS. Diego needs to be the expert, the motivational coach, the "it's simple and I have all the answers, I gotchu boo" guy, because if he can't be, then, in HIS mind, what does he have to offer? What is the POINT of him? This creates problems with ALL his siblings, including Klaus, because it means that, whether they like it or not, they have to be the person being saved: the dependent.

Diego is a real Acts of Service guy, and that's one of my love languages too, but he offers that love language at the expense of any other....including, most notably, Words of Affirmation--hell, speaking his truth is so hard for him, especially when he becomes overwhelmingly emotional, that he has a speech impediment. BEING VULNERABLE SCARES DIEGO TO DEATH, and usually, when you use your weakest skill muscles, that's when you're vulnerable. So what does he do? He never ever talks about anything. Never ever ever. Never ever ever ever. And it makes me want to SCREAM, lmao, because of personal baggage as a mun, and also because Klaus, by contrast, is emotionally intelligent and verbally precocious. Of all the siblings, Klaus is the MOST likely to stop and level with the others about how he really feels. Does he always do that? No, Klaus is dysfunctionally conflict-avoidant. But he's still the one who is the most likely to say "can we talk?"

As a result, I WANT to believe that Klaus is Diego's favorite sibling, but I don't think KLAUS knows that, because of how bad Diego is at communicating clearly, lol. Or when he does, at least verbally, it's brusque and dismissive ( "you're lucky, you get to see dead people that you love anytime you want," "you say stupid shit all the time!" etc). I think WE know, and Klaus does too, that Diego is flustered when he says this kind of thing...but it's also not conducive to closeness, lol. AND SINCE KLAUS HAS A PROBLEM WITH JUST LETTING THINGS SLIDE, HE DOESN'T SAY "HEY, THAT HURT. WHY DID YOU SAY THAT?" He just represses, makes a nihilistic joke, and moves on, and I pull out my hair in frustration LOL.

Diego is also dealing with feelings of inferiority and internalized toxic masculinity, with which, typical Diego, he really only hurts himself. It is harder for me to understand his motives than almost any other character's, however, and I think Klaus has the same problem. Klaus knows that Diego loves him, but doesn’t know what to DO with that. Particularly as of Season 3, Klaus is evolving, and learning better ways to cope with his trauma. He is learning the depth and variety of his powers, but more than that, he is learning (and will now, without those powers, be forced to learn) his value OUTSIDE of the toxic family dynamic, and OUTSIDE of the roles he was assigned in childhood (class clown, "mascot," baby brother, "lookout," "screw-up," "King of Death," etc). And I don't think that will jive well for Diego: not because he doesn't want Klaus to be happy, to succeed, to be safe--we know he wants that DESPERATELY for Klaus. Look how devastated he was when he thought Klaus had died. Look how tender his body language toward Klaus is in Season 1. Look how Klaus gravitated toward Diego for a ride, more than once. It's just that there is a pattern of Diego as rescuer and Klaus as damsel in distress (addiction-induced or otherwise) that I think, now, as of Season 3 and after, DIEGO NEEDS MORE THAN KLAUS DOES.

So I think the answer is yes, Klaus is Diego's favorite sibling, but I also think that this will only be clear to Klaus insofar as Diego can let him: A) grow and learn B) take care of himself (because he can!) C) RETURN Diego's kindness with his own (this one's the biggie. addicts and trauma survivors NEED TO FEEL USEFUL, CAPABLE, AND NEEDED).

What I've seen from Diego is that he either totally takes over care for a loved one, OR he totally yields control (look at him with Lila). I have found that I can never anticipate what Diego will do next, because the way his mind works is totally foreign to me (I'm a feelsy over-sharing binch like Klaus, LOL). So idk! We'll see?

//Ok so since I am always wanting to explore new characters I will probably add Alhaitham since I’ve been waiting for more about his character to come out first (and Kaveh) since both have interested me from the get go. Honestly feels like Dazai and Chuuya if anyone here gets me but somehow slightly more civil.

So for my own sake more own sake than anything else here are a few notes while I am trying to flesh this shit all out (granted I’m sure most of this will be disproven by canon I don’t care and it is up to being edited with character development and other mun’s preferences for their muses):

About Alhaitham:

- Alhaitham is deaf. Those ear pieces are hearing aids. When he really needs peace and quiet he takes them out but also hates doing that because it takes away control in any given situation and he knows he is basically a sitting duck for anyone to come after him.

- He is the reincarnation of the Scarlet King with no memory of his past life. He occasionally gets little inklings here and there but that is basically it. The only real hint he’s gotten about it his entire life was when he realized that he could just barely use the Forbidden Knowledge Capsule without going completely insane but simply chalked it up to everyone else before him not having the proper protections in place.

- He does have lasting effects following using it. He got headache for sometime and had strange nightmares that were scary in the moment but as soon as he woke up felt ‘weird’ and he didn’t really understand them.

- A huge motivation of his in the plan to take down the Grand Scribe is the fact definitely the fact he wanted to protect Sumeru but there is also underlying factors, one including the fact that he was just angry that the Grand Scribe tried to use his own curiosity against him.

- While he tries to hide it he does occasionally try offering aid to others, though often fails to realize that his way of ‘helping’ can come off as cruel, condescending and mean spirited.

- Alhaitham didn’t immediately reject Kshahrewar’s request for extra funding like he said he would. No actually he waited to see what Kaveh would say after he realized Alhaitham wasn’t lying; if Kaveh apologized or at least was cordial about it then he would approve it BUT if Kaveh confronted him about his motivations or did anything else before that following morning than he was going to reject it just to spite him.

- Alhaitham is a man of spite through and through. He doesn’t even bother hiding it either. Piss him off and he will make that person’s life hell.

- When he mocked Kaveh for not ‘being there when Sumeru needed him’ he had somewhat genuinely meant it. While he enjoyed the peace of Kaveh being gone he would have somewhat liked having Kaveh there to help just a little bit.

About Kaveh:

- THE MAN IS TERRIBLE WITH FINANCES. He is horrible with money and gets offended when anyone points it out to him.

- Kaveh firmly believes that Alhaitham doesn’t knows how to help others out of the goodness of his heart. He thinks everything Alhaitham does is for his own self centered gain and chalks up anything seemingly good that Alhaitham does was just him being self serving.

- Kaveh is literally positive that there was no way that Alhaitham had helped stop whatever insane plan the grand sage had, because in his mind it there simply was no way that Alhaitham would be part of a good change in Sumeru.

- To everyone outside of anything regarding Alhaitham he is generally pretty nice.

About Alhaitham and Kaveh:

- They literally bring out the worst in each other and yet both want the best from the other.

- They are mutually physically and verbally abusive. They tend to save their words for out in public but there have been quite a few times where there arguments have escalated into physical violence. They usually don’t get physical with one another for different reasons;

Alhaitham: He doesn’t feel like explaining away bruises or replace anything that gets broken.

Kaveh: He really hates using physical violence to resolve conflict with just about everyone else and fully realizes hitting one another doesn’t solve the problem just makes both of them angrier, he also worries that one day Alhaitham will just lose it during one of their fights and actually throw him out.

- More than once their arguments have gotten so bad that Alhaitham threatened to throw Kaveh out or used his position of financial power to threaten Kaveh, only for him to go back on it because he is fully aware that Kaveh is screwed if left on his own.

- If anyone asked Alhaitham and Kaveh what they hate most about each other this would be the gist of their answers.

Kaveh: He hates how every good thing Alhaitham seems to do has an ulterior motive and feels like the man adamantly refuses to do something just because it is the right thing to do and firmly believes while Alhaitham doesn’t necessarily commit evil acts for the sake it anything other than logic he does believe that unless it affects him personally that if anyone were to make him angry enough that he would ruin other people’s life for the pettiest reasons and then ignore greater issues go on around him because doing anything about it is seemingly to inconvenient.

If he were being completely honest he would also admit that he knows Alhaitham can be good, he can do good, he just wants Alhaitham to do it because he wants to not because he has something to gain.

Alhaitham: Hates how he can’t do anything without being criticized by Kaveh and hates how unrealistic and toxically optimistic he feels that Kaveh is and hates how the man can’t just leave people to self destruct on their own despite being in no better position himself and he feels that Kaveh has no desire to change it for himself despite his desire to help others.

At least that is what Alhaitham would say out loud, if he were being totally honest he would probably also mention he wishes that he could simply do things he knows are right once in a while without having to worry about being criticized for it.

📿 - she's always doing her best to be a loving and positive beacon of light for people and it's very motivating. i admire that while they're very sweet they never let that make them a doormat for anyone and stands up for literally everyone. she's so strong and i want to be like her in that way.

💄 - my real evil villain wife but really she's just so kind deep down. she doesn't show it really to anyone but i know how soft her voice can get when she really cares and how gentle she gets. it's really nice to know how loved and well taken care of you are when with her. she always knows what to do and how to help and it's so comforting. whenever im stressed and tired i think she helps a lot with how affectionate she is to me

💼 - he's one of the most loving husband's anyone could ask for. he's amazing with kids and will always listen when you really need it. he's patient and funny and one of the best listeners. whenever i just want to decompress he's one i look to often. he's so kind and so sweet.

⚰️ - really i can think of not many people who get my deep interworkings quite like mun does. i know opposites attract but mun and i can relate to a lot of things about eachother but i think that really helps make us work. he's not afraid to give it to me straight and give me what i need to hear, not want to hear. they were there for me at my worst and i was there at their worst too but we worked on ourselves and are both amazing people now. im very proud of mun and everything mun's done to work on munself.

🔎 - afraid of their own shadow sometimes i think but one of the most clever people i know. they're very sweet and laugh at my jokes even if they aren't that good or I'm just being stupid. he's always looking at things from angles i never thought about and he's also another wonderful listener. you can tell them just about anything and they always offer ideas to help figure things out. he's very admirable and a wonderful sweet person

🩹 - as much as i think he wants to kill me he's one of the funniest people i know. he's very stubborn and can be jokingly mean but i always know he means well and wants to understand me. they're wonderful to share interests with and i think despite our joking banter we get along well and share some very deep things with eachother

⚡️ - there's nobody I'd rather spend a good time with than zem. ze always knows how to make me laugh or just feel better no matter what's going on. i think discovering how good they are with kids was another great thing about them. he's always good at bringing people's moods up and going with the flow for the most part which I wish I was even slightly good at doing. They're a real dork but my dork and my goofball so it's wonderful. we've also shared some pretty deep and personal things and ze knows when to get serious but they're just wonderful.

🐈 - he really is my husband and we are forever meant to be together. we don't completely understand one another and are a bit different but that's alright. he's always been patient with me and done his best to see where I'm coming from in how I am with things. He doesn't like opening up but I do my best to be patient and listen when he's ready. I love my special moments of making him genuinely laugh or smile about even the smallest things. He's a treasure to me and means the absolute world to me.

🎥 - she is the absolute cutest on the entire planet and I want to eat her up. i didn't think I'd develop feelings for him but I'm really glad I did and I'm glad we're together even if it's only been a little while. hes told me he feels like we're soulmates a few times now and i think it's genuinely so cute. she has a weird sense of humor and can be a little freak but that's what makes her so very endearing to me. i just want her around constantly and she's so comfortable to snuggle with she's wonderful.

Shit man just made this blog, people going to think I'm weird as heck if they know my feelings since made this blog.

I'm joking, I got a lot to like and dislike about this chihuaha ass almost feral boy. So let narrow it down to three.

Things I like:

He is talented and hardworking. They made this very clear so I won't take that away from him. It's actually admirable.

He actually does know izuku well since known him since toddlers. Which can be quite important since Izuku kind of likes to be a bit too self sacrificing.

He is good looking. For someone that quite angry, it also humorous. Like look at this man he is attractive so I get it I also like to look at him.

Things I dislike:

His personality may be funny as hell but I would god damn HATE HIS ASS in real life. Like aggressive people make me so uncomfortable and he is 100% aggressive even at his nicest.

Bullying history, glad he grew out of it but I be weary of hanging out with someone with a history. Since it isn't like one time it was over ten years it means he could relapse into that behavior again.

How the narrative in the manga (this isn't bakugou himself fault) keeps forcing him to be the second protagonist. Like never once was it implied he was to be the second protag then he turned out to be popular and now everyone saying he the second protagonist.

Now you're probably like, wait that list of dislikes more detailed then the likes- That because Canon Bakugou is kinda shit when comes to certain things. But I can make him better using what canon has and I'm going to be honest, sometimes hating a character's traits can make you write them better. USING said traits.

Because you KNOW their flaws and weakness, so you can use it in your narrative. You can take these traits to create development or conflicts, you don't always have to like your muse. You just got to be motivated to write what you feel the narrative lacked!

I love him, he got potential but god damn it is squandered in canon. He doesn’t need to be a protagonist he needs to be a good PLOT DEVICE.

FIGHT ROLEPLAYING

The Basics for all the nerds out there that want to add some spice to their roleplays the good ol’ fashioned way: a tussle.

Once a fight has been started via the first punch, etc. then your roleplay reply should contain at least ONE thing your character is attempting to do to the other character, and ONE thing your character is responding / reacting to from the other character. The number can be upped, like for a dodge, a parry, and an attack in one repy, but never give less than two things total. If you slack off or forget to give something for the other to react to, for example, the pacing ( and the other’s ease of replying ) can struggle.

That said, IT’S OKAY TO MAKE YOUR CHARACTER STOP ATTACKING. You don’t need to keep running at each other. Real fights have pauses, have moments of the two fighters sizing each other up after clashing. In sword fighting, it’s good practice to make an exchange then swiftly back off of one another. Read each other, predict movements, focus on things, etc.

Fights often happen in bursts, even for the most resilient and high-endurance characters -- it’s encouraged for them to take a literal step back. Fill these lulling moments with dialogue, like a taunt or something that best suits what your character would say ( would they want this fight to happen at all, would they try to deescalate the situation to avoid further fighting? Or are they cocky and want to gloat about what just happened and how certain of themselves they are? )

Don’t forget to include introspection on what your character thinks the other character can do, this often helps reassure the mun of the other character that your character may or may not have a misunderstanding or a false sense of security about what’s going on, which helps in terms of transparency and avoiding accidental godmodding / mun knowledge seeping into the character’s.

Just because there’s a lot of action going on doesn’t mean your character’s thoughts aren’t just as important! Don’t forget to sprinkle in some good Thinking In a Crisis mode thoughts for your character to really shine. Are they panicked, are they calm? Calculating or impulsive? They gotta be thinking about something. Exemptions being: Nnoitra, from Bleach, is a dumbass. No thoughts, head empty, he’s probably just going to run it down. I KID, I kid... Nnoitra fans don’t @ me I’m teasing.

Never assume an attack of yours is going to land. Write your attack sections of your roleplay openly, avoiding solidifying wording that implies the attack your character threw has already hit the other. I find it’s easiest to avoid these things by simply describing what your attack COULD do IF IT HITS, which also functions as a way to let the mun of the other character know just how destructive, fast, and hard this attack may be to dodge or block or respond to. Literally adding “if this lands, it’ll be devastating” or something like that can be a nice quick way of topping off an attack move.

Not every character is a perfect fighter. Remember that when you’re in a situation that involves fighting -- your character may flourish in this environment, or they might really hate it and make mistakes. Ask yourself how often your character practices their skills, how experienced are they, have they ever even seen a gun before, or a longsword before? How familiar are they in this territory, especially pertaining to details surrounding the other character?

Is your character’s pain tolerance high or low? If they get a scratch, are they going to get slowed down by it? Sometimes, characters who have never been injured moderately really shouldn’t be written as able to withstand a gaping wound sustained during a fight. Wounded characters should, realistically, start to gradually move slower, sloppier, when in a fight. Adrenaline and desperation can help, but only for so long. It’s also important to acknowledge your character’s weak points: even minor injuries to the dominant hand, for example, can hinder your character’s ability to wield their weapon to its full potential.

Do what’s realistic for YOUR CHARACTER, not you. You might think about x y and z in response to how to take the other character down, but your character may not be as omnipresent as you, the mun, are. Maybe your character is winging it, or doesn’t give a shit what’s thrown at them, or isn’t thinking straight due to the circumstances of this conflict. Fights shouldn’t ever happen in a void, there should always be some kind of emotional weight: DOES YOUR CHARACTER HAVE SOMETHING TO FIGHT FOR? Do they want to live or die? Do they have other character(s) that they care about, or that care about them? What’s motivating your character to get through this, or are they prone to giving up?

KILLING INTENT! Does your character have the desire to kill the other character, or are they just doing this to subdue them, or get past them? Are they defending themselves, or are they the aggressor? Killing intent is a key factor when wielding a sword, if your character lacks the desire to take a life, this can severely diminish their potency with a blade. It’s the equivalent of pulling your punches. Characters can mitigate this possible weakness by simply aiming for non-fatal cuts while maintaining a “killing” intent, but that can call for some juicy introspection for that series of mental gymnastics.

Fighting sword vs. sword, it’s uncommon for blades to constantly clash. This can cause damage ( like chipping, dents, bending, or the blade outright shattering ), especially if the sword is not supernatural in nature, not powered by something greater than the steel that makes it. Can your character’s weapon experience weakness? Can it be damaged if struck too much or in the right way? Can it be exhausted?

Which brings us into: what does your character rely on? Their speed, their strength, one of their special abilities? It’s okay if your character is well-rounded and has fortified many aspects, but there’s usually a main focus of theirs that they lean on when in battle. Legolas may have daggers to fight with, but he obviously excels the most in archery. Look into what your character’s comfort zone is, and what they’d do / feel if pushed out of it during a conflict.

You don’t have to get super scientific or specific about certain gestures, motions, and other moves made by your character... but also stay real, don’t make them pull off something that cannot be done with their anatomy. Twisting here and there, backflipping, and blocking something at the same time is hard to imagine. Sometimes, writing a vague sense of motion actually makes things easier.

Never assume your character will go unscathed during a fight thread. You’re setting yourself up for some potential godmodding in this preemptive decision to make your character go untouched. It’s unfair to the other character’s strengths and the mun’s dedication to honoring that character if yours just flies through it all without even a single close-call. YES, THERE ARE POWER GAPS, immense ones, but give every single character the chance to impress or surprise yours. It’s more exciting that way!

Questions for the Mun

♦ What's an AU that you've always wanted?

Ohhh, there’s so many! How do I pick only one!!

I would love to write a role reversal AU of Grimmjow and Ichigo, with espada Ichigo and substitute shinigami Grimmjow. For one, the concept of a human teenage boy Grimmjow is just hysterical to me. God he’d be such an awkward little dork!

I’m also fascinated by how the story would change to accommodate new characters in different roles. Would Rukia still choose to sacrifice her power and commit the crime of making Grimmjow a shinigami? He doesn’t have any sisters to protect, he doesn’t look like Kaien, he’s just some grumpy delinquent kid, would she help? (I like to think, with what I know of Rukia and her morals that yes, she would help).

But is it even Rukia who’s sent to the living world?

What about Isshin and Masaki? Do they still meet and marry? Did Ichigo become a hollow bc he was killed by Grand Fisher? Or does Masaki marry Ryuuken? What about Uryu?

Is it still Chad and Orihime that become the fullbringers? Or is it Tatsuki and Keigo?

I love working out all the world building changes that happen as a result of these kinds of character swaps, and I’d also be really interested to see how Grimmjow himself reacts in these scenarios.

He’s not the monster, born and made, in Hueco Mundo any more. He wouldn’t have Pantera (unless he’s hollowfied - and is she really Pantera anymore?) What about his Zanpakutō, his fighting stule, his motivations and drives.

He’d still go to rescue Rukia - she saved his life - he owes her the same. He’d still fight Byakuya for her, but he doesn’t have siblings to be telling the captain about why his perspective is wrong. Would he even have the charisma to talk-no-jutsu himself friends the same way Ichigo does?

What about Aizen? There’s no guarantee that he’s got a hybrid background (shinigami-quincy bloodline) would Aizen still be interested in that? Or will his disinterest mean that he wins bc Ichigo and his transcendant wtfuckery isn’t around to stop him?

But yeah. I’d love to take a crack at an AU like that, but it’s super involved obviously, and that makes it very un-tumblr friendly.

I just write whenever I have time. I tend to have less trouble if I reply to a post/thread immediately after reading it. Usually I end up writing in the night but honestly, I don’t need to be in “the mood” to write so whenever is good.

☆ What type of fantasy AU would you like to do one day?

Maybe somethign like Cacao society? Or Spirit Society AU? Idk if those count as fantasy AU’s but I like all sorts of stuff.

I’m more prone to digging into the darker underbelly of these kinds of AUs as opposed to the pretty castles and etc.

WHAT DREW YOU TO THIS CHARACTER?

I will admit that when I was first browsing, I had the worst choice paralysis because all of the biographies were compelling in their own way. The Angels and their pretentious morality, the Demons with their freewheeling madness, the Gifted toeing the line between mortal and divine, desperate to survive in a world with their powers… That being said, I kept on going back to Horsemen because of their remarkable existence across Caelum, Sanctus Terra, and Infernum. Not quite Angels or Demons, and far from mortal, I interpreted them to be the closest beings to God the world has, given that they were torn from the flesh of God Himself.

This steadfast solidarity between Viktoria, Ryuk, Nerissa, and Dmitri really hit me square in the chest. Four distinctive beasts, hungry for bloodshed, are dropped into a world already ravaged by devastation at the hands of God’s own creations — so they take solace in each other, even broken from their original purpose. And yet, even amongst these four outliers, Ryuk stood out to me even more, because of their innate understanding of the ravaged world before him. While Nerissa raged for their stolen war, while Viktoria mourned their own creation in Purgatory, while Dmitri adjusted their child-like senses to their surroundings so starkly different whence they came, Ryuk intrinsically knew of their role on this plane of existence.

I recognized the subtle intricacies woven into Ryuk’s biography, and wanted to challenge myself by writing a character whose desires, motives, and perception of the world is markedly unique from how I interpret my world. What sort of purpose could a Horseman have when stripped of their divine right and design? What do the immortals fear when they are bound with eternal life? What could Death himself fear, when they know the unknowable, and have the power to exact their purpose?

All beings, regardless of their time on earth, fear death in some way. For divine beings, it is the possibility of their destruction through their infinite life, and for mortals, it is the inevitability of it that induces fear. But what about Death himself? Is it possible that they could be terrified of it as well?

PLOTS.

DISCLAIMER: I illustrated a few points that rely on the development of other characters, most specifically the Horsemen, but it will all obviously rely on me working out the details with other players.

I. A HUNGER FOR DEATH PROMISES A STARVATION OF LIFE — a division amongst a former whole.

We begin the story with the Horsemen being a single unit, working alongside each other in relative harmony, existing as mercenaries for the highest bidder. In a world teetering on the fragile truce between the Angels, Demons, and Mortals, the Horsemen of the Apocalypse walk alone, united in their understanding that they are unlike anything else walking the holy grounds. Without each other, they have nothing — so they remain close together out of deficit rather than benefit. However, in each of the Horsemen’s biographies, you’ve outlined a faint, yet irrefutable line dividing the four. As it stands, the division relies on recognition; Ryuk has always understood Nerissa and her cause more than he sympathizes with Nerissa or Dmitri. So what if that line became a crack?

I’ve interpreted the current division to lie within the fundamental conflict of bloodlust vs. power, with Ryuk and Nerissa lying firmly in the former camp, though this would all be hammered out with the appropriate muns. But the interest lies within the Horsemen, and what would happen if their loyalties suffered an upset — who would they pledge their allegiance to?

II. MONSTERS, WE ARE NOT SO UNALIKE, YOU AND I — an unlikely understanding.

This brings me into the next plot point, which involves Ryuk’s connections to the other factions.

Within my app, I sought to base much of Ryuk on what he is not — and their antithetical existence to Cade is something I played with deeply in this application. As hungry as they are for blood, there is a distinct lack of intention behind their killing, as if they inflict death because they are a Horseman. It is why the division is so crucial for Ryuk to begin to align themselves to a cause. A trap I don’t want to fall into while writing them is not giving them a fear to hold onto. I think the fascinating part about Ryuk is that they were birthed out of God’s terror of His unknown — and that is precisely what they fear the most. They feel safe and powerful when aligned with his fellow Horsemen, but without them, what do they know?

The details of what would sweeten their attraction to any cause is something I want to keep open, rather than delineate extensively here, but the core of it is the same: to lower them down so that they may see the light in another’s faith.

III. IN MY END IS MY BEGINNING — a touch of Death.

And here, we end with a renewal of their perspective. Some sort of mortal injury happens that gives Ryuk a taste of their own medicine, perhaps in saving something they have truly learned to care about, as much as their dark heart will allow.

Given that they fear losing their power and dominion over mortals, throwing them into a situation where they are possibly injured by one is a surefire way of allowing Ryuk to face what truly lies dormant underneath: what is their purpose? And why are they here and living, despite having their purpose erased so long ago with the death of their Creator?

Perhaps this will finally give them a hunger for something more than just taking souls and money for it.

ARE YOU COMFORTABLE WITH KILLING OFF THIS CHARACTER?

As long as it serves a specific purpose for the long-term prospects of the group’s plot, 100% yes.

DRIVING CHARACTER MOTIVATION

I admit that this is the one of the parts of the application I struggled with, because for all intents and purposes, Death’s purpose has been ripped away from them. They, along with the other three Horsemen, were created for Earth’s apocalypse — but now that they’ve been thrown into the world without it, in some ways they are lost beyond comparison.

Even so, Ryuk was still built to thirst for mortal blood at their hand, and as of now, that base instinct is what they actively rely on to move through the world. They are desperate and hungry for the souls they’ve been promised by God, and nothing more.

And yet, I think they are also terrified of what it means to be stripped of their purpose. There’s this tentative resentment they hold for the world that no longer needs the Horsemen to wreak havoc, and yet, a terror that overtakes them when they think of fully relinquishing what they’ve been handed down from God. A fear of incompetence, the unknown, and the uselessness they feel is what drives Ryuk to continue to do what they’ve always known. After all, it’s easier to believe in a belief they’ve held close to their chest for so long.

CHARACTER TRAITS

( + ) RESOLUTE | Permanence: it is the one thing Ryuk knows to be true. Mortal blood expires, and nobody knows it better than the harbinger of Death himself. It is what makes them loyal, unwavering in their beliefs in their tar-black soul once he has made up their mind. ( + ) ASTUTE | It is impossible to be foolish when he has the ghosts of the past right at his fingertips; a history, laid before them like an open book. And what are first impressions, when they have the still-lingering souls to guide him along? Not much escapes their eyes or ears, and they use their gift well, for himself first, and for the Horsemen second. ( + ) VIGILANT | All that knowledge, always within reach — it would be a shame if they did not apply it well. Though he can be quick to react, it is rarely out of ineptitude or undisciplined impulse; it is precisely the wealth of information he gleans that makes them all the more wary to enter into a situation without identifying the risks first. They are adamant on victory, not by anyone else’s terms but their own. ( – ) DUPLICITOUS | He has no qualms about trickery, or resorting to underhanded means to get their way. After all, what is integrity to a being that values Death above everything else? What is honor to a Horsemen without a future, when Death is the period, the endmark to every creature with a beating, bloody heart? ( – ) RUTHLESS | When Ryuk first learns of the word mercy from the spirits’ whispers, they can barely fathom the concept. Sparing another out of the benevolence of one’s heart? It’s practically laughable, given their own penchant for cruelty when faced with their victims. He is ( – ) PASSIONLESS | And one wonders: what could make such a merciless killer unflinching in the face of their purpose? Yes, they relish in every single kill, just as much as his compatriots, but in the end, he does it because it is all he knows. One cannot mistake the devotion they show for passion, the very fire that ignites the circle of life. No, Death will not and cannot be acquainted with life, no matter how many live souls they take for themselves.

From the beginning, at the very break of their conception at the hands of God, Ryuk is told they are the antithesis of emotion. It is an age-old story of the hero, their origin a simple blip in the vaporous, golden-god kingdom from which he is torn, cast into darkness until their path is clear — but Ryuk is not a hero. No, they are told that some day, they shall wreak havoc across the mortal realm that He has forged to collect their birthright of the damned souls roaming the earth. When? It’s insolence, a rare bit tumbling out for his Creator, He who has torn a part to make their whole.

You will know, and it is thunderous, the cadence of his voice, that even Death quivers, when the gates to the mortal realm opens. And then, they are thrown into their realm, devoid of anything but dust and half-formed souls. They know this, because the moment they’d slipped into the aphotic depths of His plan is the exact moment they hear their wails, deafening, ululating, even for their immortal senses.

And oh, did they wail. Told stories of dominions and dirt, of princes and peasants, a swarm of the dead desperate for the ear of a God — or however close they could get to such a being. Time and time again, Ryuk would swat the cloud away, gaze always focused in the distance, where the dark smoke broke into a line of halcyon shimmer, and they’d ask Him ( pray, a soul whispers ) for their birthright, their infernal kingdom of souls.

Ages pass. They hear nothing. They see nothing. The gilded line shrinks. But what is time for an immortal? Still, they hunger for the permanence of their existence; here, in this inchoate cavity of God’s creation, they are useless. The void is a steadiness of not quite death, but the absence of life — a temporary, an unhappy medium that they cannot satiate themselves on no matter how hard they strived. When? They think again, but He is long gone, in His heavens with His angels and His mortals He’d bore out of Love.

In the ages to come, they will begin to understand this. Tales brushed in human concepts, of Love and Fear and Ecstasy and Hope, of those dominions and dirt, the princes and peasants. In the ages to come, they will see that the mortals flourish, souls rising to Heaven and Hell without their touch. They will see the expanse of God’s love for His children, in fractured pieces of the half-gone souls’ shrieks, wondrous at how He could destroy something He’d built from the sands of the lands. They will ask why did the mother forbid her to marry her lover? and the souls will answer, because she loved her daughter, a babe she’d birthed for nothing in return.

“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.” — Matthew 24:7

And what they mean to say is — no, they do not understand. How could God, in all his love for his mortal creations, bring their deliverance, Famine and War and Conquest and Death, upon the moral planes? What is their purpose aside to destroy what He has created? To understand the world is to hold it in one’s hands and inflict upon it an inconceivable love, of which they had none in their ichor-stricken heart.

They resent God for this. They resent their purpose, and yet, they walk the earthly plains alongside their comrades, knowing that even God has succumbed — and so they hold their faith, deal their foreordained havoc in spades.

“For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.” — Revelation 16:14

“You must have mistaken me for a being of mercy, of which I am not.” Viktoria’s nostrils flare. Ryuk’s voice is low enough that the others do not catch the impertinent remark, the subtlest of digs on what she prized most. Within visible distance, Dmitri fiddles with a mortal contraption, one of the many gifts from his beautiful admirers, and far off, in the other direction, Nerissa sharpens her blade on a slick slab of quartz, eyeing her two comrades with a watchful eye.

Among them all, fallows, burnt yellow and unseemly, spread out across either side, an end distant and impossible. In this part of land, there is nothing but rainfall and smog, untraversed by even the most seasoned of travelers, which, of course, had made it ideal for the likes of the Horsemen. Nothing but tar black clouds roamed the sky, save for the sliver of white in the horizon, a marker of Caelum to the North. The line glows, and Ryuk is briefly struck by the likeness of their environment to the emptiness from which they came. If they listen diligently enough, the winds almost mimic the agonized shrieks of undamned souls, and it completes the resemblance, far too uncanny for their liking. He shifts on his feet, left and right, and tugs on his ear. A cue, he’d learned, then committed to muscle memory, to ward away the spirits when they were not needed.

“And as always, you have failed to listen. And they say you can hear the spirits with those ears?”

It is Ryuk, this time, that prickles under the weight of the insult. Viktoria, as always, has fashioned herself as the brains of their expeditions, always pointing out their next destination. He cannot blame her; of the quad, they all know she is the weakest, but her passion for their good fate flares stronger than his own. Viktoria, always the one hungering for something more. A desire for a bite of the heavens whence they came.

To each their own, they suppose.

“I have provided all of us with good information, have I not? Saved our good health, if I remember correctly, more times than I desire to count.” Their sharp glare meets the other’s steel-bit fire, and she huffs.

“And what are your qualms of this plan? Do you plan to serve this diseased Tridium for our eternity?”

Besides him, the souls begin to howl. Cry out, they will hunt and kill you, they have weaponry, blessed by the something dark and holy, and yet, another faction beckons, they are no match for the Apocalypse, they are not as strong as you believe —

“What is it?”

They snap out of their trance. In the centuries they have known each other, they have all learned each other’s behaviors like their own kin. Like the flicker in Nerissa’s jaw when she lusts for blood, the fondness glimmering in Dmitri’s eye when he spies a mortal he desires. They’ve all seen the half-slack stupor Ryuk undergoes when he channels the voices of the dead, most of all Viktoria, but he brushes her away, throat cleared with a rumble.

“Nothing. They caution us against it.”

“And?”

The sinew in their neck tenses. “And there is nothing else. We all know that some mortals are still gifted. They hold the power to our demise as much as we for theirs.”

Viktoria scoffs. It is clear, in her stance, from her gaze, that she does not believe he is giving her the entire truth. “We will need more than that if we are to carry through with it; perhaps, they can tell us the size of their armory, or perhaps how it could be of use to us...“ Eyes averted, she begins to pace a small distance. They can already see the cogs turn in their brain, assembling their scheme for an upset of power across the lands.

“And who has agreed to carry through with this design? Dmitri?”

They look up. Viktoria, who’d been addressed; Dmitri, who’d believed they'd been summoned; Nerissa, who’d smelled the whiff of conflict. The lines, there are always the lines. Viktoria with Dmitri, himself with Nerissa. Left unsaid, but voice did not negate the fact that the line is a truth, hanging amongst them like an errant thread, impossible to sever even with the sharpest of blades. “You don’t believe we can do it?”

They stare, unflinching against her black gaze, because for all that they lack with their deadened atrophy and rot, they fill themselves with the faith that there will always be more souls to take. They do not prescribe themselves to a greater fate other than the one that has been given to them, from God, their Creator. What use do they have of power, when they had all that they required in the present?

“If we take this job, do this favor for this mortal, we will secure an ear in the ranks — a cousin of a member of the Round Table, and we can use leverage, to raise our status, to find these heavenly instruments to mine for crystallis —”

“Of which he has none, Viktoria, in case you have forgotten!”

From the corner of their eye, they see Dmitri flinch, Nerissa cease her movements to sharpen her blade. They are always like this, vying for a position that neither of them particularly desire, but ages have passed since they’ve come to terms with their uncertain fate. They’d been dropped amongst mortals and divinity alike, across barren lands and built cities, alone in their status as creatures of God, literal in every sense of the word. He had torn them, the four of them, from His own celestial body, had He not?

They are quiet again.

Mere mortals would have raged, now Ryuk knows this. It is the security of more that protects (or rather, exposes) the others to wars, seething with blood and blades, to the black certainty of hatred that infected the strength of their ranks, susceptible and raw. Their net, of course, had perished along with the annihilated remains of God’s and Lucifer’s immortal bodies. They had nobody, and would have nobody else, until the end of time.

Perhaps they all realize this, sheepish expressions flitting across their eyes, the sunken hollows of their cheeks. Jagged as they are in countenance and disposition, Ryuk has realized they have gone too far in their words. His head hangs an inch lower, shoulders hunched in sour defeat. It is all that they need for the mood to lift. Viktoria nods, and they mount their horses, in implicit agreement that they would defer the conversation for another time.

They scan the fields. It is still sunken, stinking of something burnt yet still living, sodden with the foul scent of mortal dirt. The gales have only reinforced their vigor, screeching through the vast space, washing away their bitter anguish — but the winds are just that, the earlier parallel lost, if only because they had three others by their side. They have survived the fire, and they will survive, untouched, riding their noble steeds into the winds, not separate, but as one.

ABOUT CAL

born in jeju-do and lived there until he turned around 8 to 9 years old to two muggles / no-majs.

moved to california (haha) do to more family opportunities there. not only that, but they wanted to see how he would do in a new country!!! he goes by the name calvin.

funny enough, not too long after they got him into school, he discovered his magic and started getting weird looks from other kids in his school because of it! pretty soon, they all started rumors about him and he felt very alone there

after they got him out of that school in hopes of trying to figure out what was wrong with their song, a wizard from the school of ilvermorny stops by their houses and helps give his famiy information on who cal is and about the school. wanting the best for him, they enrolled him into the school.

wonderful! he’s in an environment surrounded by other people like himself! surely that means that he’ll be in a better mental state, right? not quite. thanks to the fact he revealed that his parents who are no-majs, a group of kids at ilvermorny started picking on him because of that. so much so that they pranked him and essentially humiliated him in front of the entire year if not the entire school. the leader essentially traumatized him enough that it becomes his boggart.

desperate to move back home, cal goes to his headmaster and asks if there’s possibly a school of magic he can transfer to in south korea. they find one in the city of seoul, talk to his parents about it, and moved back there!!! and there, he worked his damned hardest to excel in magic (except in herbiology teehee) to prove that he was more than just a muggleborn wizard and that his magic is his own.

around this time, he also decided to go by the nickname cal, half of his english name so that he could remember all the pain he went through and use it as motivation to work hard. trying to make something better out of it!!!

enrolled into mokseong (house geumseong haha house pride) with outstanding grades with a transfiguration major and a minor in muggle history.

has been trying to succeed more and more ever since. that’s why he’s a prefect and the president of the transfiguration club!!!

personality wise? easygoing and charming!!! will try to find a way into your heart, platonically or not! will tease you just to get closer and make u laugh (or be pissed w him he is not afraid)

very intelligent and analytical. he wants to learn a LOT and in some situations, it’ll just be him being nosy bc he wants to know more about a person.

though he’s always trying to be a good role model, if u mess with him, he will prank u!!!!

outside of campus, you’ll usually find him at madame menageries, asking madam about what she knows about each class and information about students ... sometimes at joyful jokes because prankster

with depth

you are his rival! you essentially cannot stand him because of the fact that he’s gotten more achievements than you. no matter who you are and what your family is, you try to find a reason to doubt whether his achievements were earned for him. and a part of you is still trying to find something to be better at than him. cal is secretive when it comes to talking about his past, but he seems to be open about investigating others and wondering about theirs. it’s almost to the point where you want to do the same to him, not only because it’s bothering you how he does it carefree to others, but because you are genuinely so curious about his reasons. he finds it charming that you wish to know more about him, but he finds it annoying how insistent you are. cal should’ve been more aware of who he was throwing pranks on because the moment he threw that he threw a dungbomb at you and he saw the way you react, he knew it was over for him. and though he tries to act all buddy-buddy with you about everything, you still want to get back at him for such a childish act!!! in contrast to the last four plots, this plot is more adoring of cal. you admire him and his resilience as well as how hardworking he is. you do recognize that sometimes he can be a bit much, but you can’t help but feel as if he’s someone to look up to!! you don’t even have to be close to him to know that he’s wonderful!!! while cal dares not to play the sport, he has a fascination over quidditch. specifically, how the players act with it. though not a player, he is a fan and he is willing to give advice to people who are new to the game or are now taking an interest in it. dare he say it, he’ll be face paint kid and even give you a test to see how well you know it. transfiguration is your weakness and you wish to improve on it. why not go to the help of the transfiguration president? he’s always willing to help those who struggle at what he’s best at. (0/1)

having muggle parents and essentially “lived” as a muggle for part of his childhood, you wish to know more about his experience as living in that environment. whether you wish to share similar experiences or learn more about it for an assignment, you go to the young geumseong student for help. though cal is essentially easygoing and carefree, he is still a prefect and will hold that responsibility. so if you’re a troublemaker geumseong student, even if he’ll sometimes tag along with your mischief, know that you will be given a warning from him. (0/1)

you want to dye your hair a new color and you go to him, a colovaria master, to ask him for advice on which color you should try and if he can put that color on you!! just to be safe!!! (0/1)

though he’s very vocal about how he is proud of being in geumseong (esp bc of professor aurora song saying she’d be in that house), he does like hanging out with hwaseong students. specifically you because you’re his partner in crime when it comes to pranks! yes you both frequent joyful jokes together. EX PLOTS!! it’s very clear that cal is the charming type and he’s even charmed his way into some people’s hearts~ but of course, love isn’t primarily his main focus now. so naturally, he’s gotten with a few people and you could’ve gone for a few months, but one’s thing for sure is that there’s reasons as to why you are split, heavy or not.
