one of the hilarious things about skipping around so much, is that netflix often just starts up wherever you left off on any given episode

which ends up unintentionally funny as fuck to me because of how often it becomes obvious which scene I was watching when I decided I was done for the night

because when I do this I often will just rewatch my fave bits of specific episodes

1. why did you choose your url?

Nightwing is my favorite DC character, and for halloween one year I had changed my URL to "spookywing" When the season was over however, it seemed weird to just leave it like that, and this is the first URL i could find that wasn't taken and still seemed like it got the point across

i have quite a few, most of them were phase things that I don't really use anymore. There us one that I still kind of use, but it's mainly for myself so I can put posts there that i want to be able to find easily

either 2012 or 2011? I know I had to lie about my age (but I got my parents permission lol) but I had been following individual pages for a while before I ever had an account lol

I think i used to? but now i don't even bother with a q anymore (or even tagging things ever because it's so easy to reblog on mobile without adding tags) so if i did they're obsolete now

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

like i stated previously, i had been following some pages on their own for a while (shout out to seaweedbrains, cassjaytuck, and burdgebug as some of my original follows) so i wanted to make an account so I could actually like use the website? i had also just entered middle school, had a hard time making friends, and the world of fandom was a nice escape for me. I actually think my first URL was Beautiful Creatures themed? good lord

I mean c'mon. It's rainbow batman saying "boys" how could you not? but to be perfectly honest, I have no idea. I think i wanted to change it one day, and I thought it fit my DC brand and it was funny so it kind of stuck?

(i had to go look what my header was rip) oh! I saw someone posting headers (i should go find the post to credit it) with quotes from The Song of Achilles and that one just really stuck with me. I really liked the book and like i said, it's just kind of a vibe thing

put me on blast, but tumblr is actually my "go to" social media, so i'm on it a lot. like when i first started tumblr, fandom is a comfort place for me, so i still default to it. plus here i don't have to keep up with celebrities and shit

yes? once when i was 13, and to be fair, i was in the wrong and i know that now, but uh that was rough. should have kept my mouth shut

1. why did you choose your url?

Many years ago, EarlGreyTea was the name I chose for the late, great Television Without Pity. I didn’t want something fandom-specific, so I chose the name of my favorite tea. I only found it later that it’s a Star Trek reference, oops. EarlGreyTea was already taken on LJ, so I added the 68, which is my birthday, and I’ve kept the name on every platform ever since.

2. any side blogs? if you have them, name them and why you have them.

I actually have several, but I don’t really use any of them, except the armes4eva blog, which I sometimes post interior design and Sebastian Stan things to lol

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

oh, goodness, I think 2012. Yes, I just checked, 2012.

No, I can’t be bothered lol. The only time I use the queue is when I do my year-end round-up (which didn’t happen this year because I was too depressed alas).

Right after “The Reichenbach Fall” aired, I started writing “Sherlock” fic. But I was having a hard time finding active Sherlock communities on LJ. When I asked about it on Twitter, many people were like, “Oh, you’ve got to go to Tumblr, that’s where fandom is now.” And so that’s what I did!

That’s my icon! I’ve had it for years. I wonder if I can even remember how long. It’s a picture I took of a teapot and teacup I was served at breakfast outside by the pool at a fancy hotel in Las Vegas. I haven’t been to Las Vegas in a long time, let me see, it must have been…11 or 12 years ago.

7. why did you choose your header?

Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass is basically my favorite book (I count them as one). The older I get, the more relevant I find those books to what adulthood turned out to be like. So, anyway, it’s a quote from “Looking-Glass,” it’s what the Red Queen tells Alice, and I say it *all the time.*

Why don’t I see this information??? In the beginning, I tried to follow back everybody who followed me, and that was how I learned that at the time there was a limit to how many people you can follow. So I stopped following back at that point (this was years ago). Then I realized I could follow people again because I guess people had deleted their Tumblrs or whatever, so I’ve tried to start following people back again, but I’m kind of sporadic about it. Anyway, all this is to say that I probably follow a lot of people.

I suppose I will let all of you be the judge of that!

I mostly just glance at it for twenty minutes or so a night. Sometimes I might scroll on mobile during the day, and it’s actually my favorite social media platform to just scroll endlessly through if I’m feeling anxious and need to calm down. But if I’m having a normal stress-level day, I just kind of glance it over a little to see what’s going on in fandom-world.

I don’t think so.

I don’t do any of the chain-mail-ish ones. However, I am superstitious enough that I always reblog the good luck ones. They have never actually had an effect that I can see but why tempt fate! I’m not going to turn down luck!
