đ©đ©đ©
send me a đ© and i'll share my unpopular rpc opinions and hot takes. bonus points if you include a specific topic to talk about, like follower count, softblocking, graphics, etc.
Firstly, big thanks to lins @dcstinyscdgc for helping me decide on topics to talk about; otherwise, I'd be lost.
đ© A hot topic, seeing as we've seen basically everyone hates women. Female OCs !! This is towards the people who talk about how they love female ocs, stan them, respect them, but then never make any effort to actually roleplay with said ocs. I wish ya'll would just stop pretending and just be upfront about it. it is so obvious when someone isn't showing you any interest. If you don't want to rp with said muse, just say so. Stop wasting people's time because you don't know how to use your words. Ya'll get muns excited just for them to wait back forever on shit or for you to sit there and gives us nothing. Just be honest. I would say I don't understand why we are so awful to female OCs, but I mean, looking at society, it tracks quite well. I wish people would be upfront from the get go, especially when its OCs in general. like ya'll will listen to someone talk and see how excited they are that someone is taking interest in their work only to be dropped a day later. Thats why i see so many people who have oc ideas, but say it might not be a thing because of how often ocs are just rejected by us. Do better. If you don't like ocs cool but at least be upfront about it instead of saying you do just so people don't look at you different.
đ©purple prose - tbh this has died down a bit, i haven't seen much but its still something I dislike. if I have to google every word you use in your response bruh I'm not reading it. I'm all for poetic writing, i love it, there are people on here who are so good at it and they don't need big ass words no one knows to convey it. I really don't think purple prose makes you a good writer, because if I cant understand what you're writing, what you're trying to convey?? then its just words. Not everything has to be 100 paragraphs and then a single stick of dialogue. pls đ
đ©This last one is one I am still learning myself. But the way we prioritize aesthetics over accessibility. And I am learning this, and mourning this because my illness affects my eyes, and its been hard now seeing small text, seeing colors on offputting backgrounds. small ass icons that are smaller than even what I use, its like 40x40 idk how the fuck yall can even tell whats in the picture and then you put a PSD over it that just blobs it up and idk bro it doesn't look like anything to me. i use colored text a lot, for me, it helps me to see a bit better, but it doesn't always work for others. You're always welcome to tell me if something is too small, or if you want me to use the regular text formatting when we write, I will never mind that. you don't have to change everything you do, but be willing to work with people you're writing with, because, what you like, how you may like it to look? might be very hard for them to read and therefore hard to write with you.
And i won't lie to you i struggle, cuz while I love to write and on my lazy days i wont edit i'll just post but a lot of the times, I do want it to look pretty. i love making my icon borders, and my graphics when I can. I've had to learn how to change it, I am slowing started to redo some of my icons and making them bigger to be easier on my eyes. its very much one of those things you don't really think about until it really starts to affect you. you don't gotta remove everything you like, but if someone is asking you, telling you something is hard to read, don't be a bitch about it. work with them to see how you can help make it easier for them to be able to write with you.

I caught the Pokémon fever and I felt the urge to draw Yuu as a Pokémon trainer!
I kinda want to make a new AU where Yuu actually comes from the PokĂ©mon world as well as update her BIO. Also Iâm thinking of changing the color her school uniformâs vest.
Also, in this AU I think with her PokĂ©mon by her side, sheâs a lot more confident enough to think she would have no need to disguise herself as a boy. So this is what her uniform would look like:
Backgrounds I used:
Name: Yuu
Gender: Female
Age: 18 (I know I said she was 16 before, but now I want to change it đ)
BIO: (It got a bit long, so I hid it under cut)
In the world of PokĂ©mon, Yuu was originally from Opelucid City in Unova with her single mother. They were a poor family and her mother stressed day after day, trying to make ends meet while also putting up with the other responsibilities that came with being a parent. What set her over the edge was when Team Plasma attacked the city and froze it in ice along with their home. This made Yuuâs mother decide to put her in foster care in Castelia City in hopes another family would come and take better care of her daughter. Thatâs what she said, but when Yuu looked at her motherâs face she couldnât help but see a bit of relief in her eyes. After that, Yuu mostly kept to herself, not really interacting with the other kids, blindly hoping that her mother would return once sheâs more financially stable, but she never did...
One day, when she and the other foster kids were out and about the city (with adult supervision of course), enjoying their Casteliacones, a Patrat swiftly took Yuuâs remaining cone! She chased after it down in one of the alleyâs, and hid around the corner and made a big discovery! The Patrat was actually a disguised Zorua! After hearing his stomach growl even after he scoffed the cone down, Yuu felt sorry for the illusion PokĂ©mon and approached it. Zorua growled as Yuu settled down her backpack to take out her lunch bag and revealed itâs contents to him. âYou need it more than I do. Take it.â She got up and left to return to her group, leaving behind a very confused Zorua. Oddly enough, Yuu met Zorua again shortly on the same day. After finishing most of her lunch Zorua saved an apple and followed her home to return it. (Disguised of course) But even with the disguise, she recognized the apple immediately and could see right through Zorua. Since then the two would meet when Yuu had the time and bring Zorua some food and she would chat and play with him. Sometimes she would talk about something funny she saw on TV, or go ranting about how annoyed she gets with grown ups pestering her about playing with the other kids when she wasnât even interested. The only game she was interested in was Hide n Seek, but was then banned from playing it by the adults for being too good at it. And couldnât even talk about PokĂ©mon with the other kids without talking like a âstuck up know-it-allâ. As well as talk about her dream of finally becoming a PokĂ©mon trainer and go wherever she wanted without any kids or adults telling her what she can or canât do. Zorua would then bark at her like he understood what she meant, and for the first time, she felt she finally has a friend/ally.
Then one day, one of the other kids leading a group traced back to where she had been meeting Zorua and found him, and by the time Yuu got there, she was horrified to find the kids circling and ganging up on a distressed Zorua - wanting to touch his ears and tail. At first, Yuu froze in fear, fear that now the kids know where her special meeting place with Zorua was, fear that Zorua might think she betrayed his trust by telling them about this place, but as Zorua cried out - Yuu snapped. Pushing all the other kids away, shielding Zorua, Yuu yelled at them to leave Zorua alone. It did not sit well with the biggest kid, who shoved Yuu to the ground, which angered Zorua! Zorua then used scratch on the kid and used his power of illusions to change into a Hydreigon! Not realizing it was an illusion, the kids ran away, crying and screaming. This greatly relieved Yuu, believing this event would make the kids think twice before messing with them again. However, that sense of security was short-lived âcuz shortly after it, she was confronted by the adults who run the foster home as well as a policeman, who was holding a struggling Zorua by the fur collar. Yuu was scolded for attacking the other kids while also making contact with a dangerous wild PokĂ©mon that had a history of stealing food from tourists and local alike and now has attacked a defenseless child. Yuu tried to explain that Zorua was starving and how those kids were scaring him and the only reason he attacked was because she was shoved. But her explanations fell on deaf ears as the policeman said heâll take Zorua somewhere far away from Castelia City. All Yuu could think of was that she was about to lose her only friend and will be left alone with kids who hate her. Not wanting to bear with that reality, she charged for the Policeman, kicking his shin which was enough to make him to lose his grip enough for Zorua to wriggle away free. And the two both charged out into the alleyways of Castelia City.
Since then, Yuu was a small child with a Zorua on the run. The police were frantic about searching for them, but thanks to Yuuâs cleverness when it comes to Hide n Seek and Zoruaâs illusions, it made it all too easy to give them the slip. They were together, but unfortunately they had to steal food in order to get by. One of these thefts lead to a fateful encounter with a certain mad scientist by the name of... Colress.
While he was enjoying his newfound freedom from police custody at a cafĂ©, Yuu swiped one of his pastries. And of course, it had to take one misstep to alert Colress that he was being stolen from which prompt Yuu to run as if her life depended on it. But as she regrouped with Zorua, they were suddenly surrounded by Colressâ Klingklang, Magnezone, and Porygon-2. With KlingKlang using protect from Zoruaâs attacks, they had no way of getting out of it. But even then, Yuu refused to give up if it meant that she and Zorua will be separated. Seeing her bond with Zorua as well as her ability to give Zorua commands despite not even old enough to become a trainer, Colressâ interest was piqued and the gears of his mind started to turn. He held off his PokĂ©monâs attack, and met with Yuu at eye-level to ask her about her story with Zorua. At first, Yuu refused saying heâs just another adult who would never listen to her or give her the time of day, only for him to respond that itâs quite the contrary. Something about his eyes told Yuu that this isnât something he would lie about and she reluctantly told him about her situation.
And Yuu didnât know how (and was too afraid to ask), but somehow Colress was able to convince the people at her foster care to let him take custody of her as her guardian as well as convince the Police to let Zorua off. But one thing she did ask is why he decided to help her and Zorua out in the first place, his response was, âBecause I firmly believe that someone should never be separated from a PokĂ©mon they have a clear bond with. No matter what age they may be.â
And since then, Yuu and Zorua were always together. And though Colress was her guardian, he was never a father-figure for Yuu. Yes, he did provide Yuu and Zorua food and shelter, as well as Yuuâs education. But he never hid the fact that he saw the bond between Yuu and Zorua as a fascinating research subject. Sometime even testing how in-sync their brainwaves were. Yuu didnât really mind either as long as no one dares to take away Zorua again and at the time she saw Colress as the only adult that was ever straight with her.. Zorua himself didnât trust Colress and would always keep a sharp eye on him while sticking close to Yuu.
Hearing about the close community of people and Pokémon in Alola, Colress moved his lab there thinking it would be the ideal place for his research and took Yuu and Zorua along with him. At first Yuu didn't know how to feel about the change, but was surprised that compared to the kids she knew in Unova, she actually thought decently about her classmates at the Pokémon school that she was enrolled in. For one thing, they actually respected Zorua's space and hers which was a huge breath of fresh air. And her teacher, Professor Kukui, just let her take her time before getting to know them instead of pushing her to do things that made her uncomfortable. Later on, Yuu hears about how close the other students are with their parents, which made Yuu more aware of how different she is from them considering she doesn't exactly have a typical father/daughter relationship with Colress. Seeing her newfound sense of loneliness, Professor Kukui invited her to his lab to spend time with the Pokémon while also meeting his wife, Professor Burnet. It wasn't long before Yuu started having dinners with the married couple and started seeing them as parental figures.
(Now this has been going on for a little while now, so Iâll just sum up the next part shortly as the next part should be stories for another day)
When she became a trainer at the age of 11, Yuu decided to take on the Island challenge. Along the way she became partners with Primarina, Toucannon, Raichu, Mudsdale, Lurantis, and among others with those 5 plus Zoroark being her main 6 for Alola. And after becoming Alolaâs first champion, Yuu decided she wanted to travel to experience everything the world has to offer, not only to perfect her battle-style further, but also to meet the PokĂ©mon of every region as well as to grow deeper bonds with her PokĂ©mon.

COMMISSIONS/DONATIONS HELP OUT A DISABLED, UNEMPLOYED, NONBINARY BUTCH
Hi there iâve made a post similar to this a big time ago (when quarentine barely started) In that post I state that since im disabled and had been scammed by my previous job in January I couldnât get any government money during quarentine cuz of it. My situation hasnât changed in fact I need more help now. I finally managed to move out of my abusive household to live with my partner, but my partner is working a full time job and desperately trying to make things work. The appartment we managed to get is pretty expensive and im totally unable to find a job with Covid and well: DID, Anxiety, Autism, ADHD, and my Chronic Pain, plus the fact I canât stand for more than 30 minutes without severe body pain. If that wasnât enough, the fact I had to drop out of highschool due to mental health surely disqualifies me from any âhigh school diplomat neededâ jobs.
Ive scrolled Indeed so many times and havenât found much- if a small translator job that I may turn out not qualified to do if it asks me to translate from english to french instead of french to english. (wasnât specified on the work application) As you can see, I really dont have many options if any. Right now my biggest hope is an appointment I have with project genesis on the 21s of september to sign up for disability welfare- but when I do I have no idea the time itll take to process or if ill even be accepted for it cuz shit sucks. Im really desperate here, my financial state didnt get any better than back when I made my first post (now deleted since i had been kind of sort of okay for a while and felt bad leaving it up). So please consider helping me out I know this is all a lot and things are hard for everyone here but I really could use some help. I take donations obviously but also Please Please look at my commissions if youâd rather buy smth than just donate
TL;DR I have absolutely 0 income because im disabled, mentally ill and covidâs a fucking bitch and I wanna be able to pay for bills and food now that im in my own appartment with my partner and out my abusive household, please consider donating or commissioning me

How I Digitally Paint like a Scenic Artist/Designer
Aka: how I did this and put my degree to good use.Â
LONG POST WARNING
Step 1: Research.Â
First off, get to your image search. If you are going to be using Google, you may want to type â-pinterestâ in the search to eliminate the countless boards.Â
I had to figure out clothing that is vaguely late 1800s. I found a multitude of reference images that were fancier clothes- but I wanted to find images of clothing for kindred across all social classes. Photographs from the era and paintings are your friend. They will more accurately showcase what was worn.Â
After Fashion research comes location research. The 1890s in America is known for the rapid industrialization. Factories were getting bigger and work days were getting longer. But, I wanted the moonlight to be cascading into the place, illuminating the scene. This means I needed to find a structure that had skylights or let sunlight in. And the best images I found? Slaughterhouses. Fitting, huh?
The same rule for fashion still stands- if you can find photographs or paintings from the era- theyâre better. There are tons of places still standing today from the 1800s. But today, they look WAY different. Ya know, Abandoned! So just be sure to take this into consideration if you search âabandoned slaughterhousesâ or go trespassing like I did.
Lastly, pose research. Finding the poses for a fight scene can be tedious. So, I enlisted some help from a few fight choreographers and stunt men. You can record their fights and play them back at quarter or half speed. You can also get a mirror and flop on the floor a bunch. I did both. This lets you see the action/motion lines you are going to replicate in the drawing. Heres how we initially did finaâs pose:

And sometimes you have to go back and get a clean shot. I ended up using this pose for the axe.

Step 2:Â Set up and Background!
When you open a new file, set it to the dimensions and resolution you want. I was working at 600. Usually, Iâm working at 300-350. You can always reduce resolution. Its hard to prevent fuzzy lines if you increase it later.Â
I cannot stress the following enough:
You work background to foreground. Big Shapes and areas to little shapes. Work your way forward. What this means is you need to fill in as much space as possible first. Then build your details. I prefer working as follows: Big Solid tones, Soft shadows, Dark Shadows, Highlights, then final blend. Once you finish this, put an overlay on top. This knocks everything back and helps create the illusion of depth. See this at work with the video below or here
Step 3: Figure Drawings + Composition
Utilize that research and images you collected to pose your characters. I create subfolders for each set of figures. Organization is important here. This will help keep you on the right layer and prevent the eternal digital artist struggle of âFuck that was on the wrong layer!â
Even after you move on to lineart and shading, Keep the sketch layer as a reference. You may need to see what youre original notes/ figures looked like as you do the lineart and shade. Donât be afraid to move them around and alter the composition rn. You want to be able to make changes. Make notes! Detail light sources!Â
Iâm about to through out some art jargon:
You want to think about asymmetric balance. The easiest way to achieve this in an eye-pleasing manner is to use the Fibonacci spiral. Yeah. This boi:
Place your figures and actions in a similar sequence to the spiral and the viewerâs eye tends to naturally follow it. This is sometimes called the Golden Ratio in the art world.Â
Doesnât need to be perfectly on the spiral. You can break it- but its an excellent tool to plan how things move in the piece.Â
Step 4: Lineart
Once you got things sketched- its time to do the lineart. Iâm using clip studio paintâs standard brushes. Nothing fancy. I often switch between the G-pen and the For Effect Liner. Mapping and Turnip are for thicker lines.Â
Usually I set these pens to a specific thickness depending on where Iâm drawing.
My background figures are lined at 0.05 thickness, the midground is .1 to .2, Fina is .3 and the foreground is .4. I set my stabilization high to help keep my lines smooth. Stabilization 100 means thereâs a significant delay between where the pen is and the cursor. I like the stabilization to be at 20 for freehanding and at 50 ish for outlining. Dont become completely reliant on the stabilization though. Good and smooth lineart is drawn from the arm not the wrist. Your range of motion is severely limited if you only move your wrist. Practice moving from your elbow and youâll be surprised how much smoother your lines get.Â
Once I finish lining the figures, I usually go around it with an outline. This does three things:Â
1. Solidifies the figure and cleans lineart for paint bucket tool. More on that in the next step.
2. Its a stylistic choice. Helps give it that comic book feel with a heavy outline.Â
3. Pushes figures forward or back in the composition. Thicker outline helps denote that a figure is farther forward than another. My background figures have no outline to push them awayÂ
Step 5: Digitally coloring
For each figure you are going to select outside the lineart.Â
Create a new layer under the lineart
Invert the selection. Paint bucket. You should now have a solid shape of the figure under the lineart. Do not deselect.
Create a new layer above the one color. Title it solid colors. Paint in thick, solid tones. I like to use the mapping pen and turnip pen to color in my solid tones: skin, clothing, hair, etc. Â
After that, deselect. Create a multiply layer if you can. If your program does not have a multiplier function, Pick a tone you want to use for shadows and lower the opacity (usually 30-40% I like to use lavenders or blue tones). It will not be as vibrant, but you can edit it in post. Select off of the solid colors layer. I like to start with skin tones. Use the airbrush tool to create soft shadows. You donât want to create harsh lines on this layer.
Then repeat this process with harsh lines. Â
Then knock it all back with an overlay. If you dont have the ability to create an overlay, you can again drop a solid color and lower the opacity, but youâll have to mess with the color balance/ brightness/contrast to let all the hard work come through.Â
Youâre going to repeat this for every single figure. Hereâs a few color theory tips though.
Your overlay colors should be darker (not more vibrant) in the foreground and lighter (avoid using pure white) in the background. This helps with the depth of the piece. Things closer tend to be darker (not always true, depends on lighting)
You can choose to use color theory to aid your shadows. Instead of choosing black or grey for shadows, choose a complimentary color. I used a lot of green for this piece, I used red for really dark shadows. Its not that black drains color- its just loses some depth if not used carefully.Â
Keep your colors consistent. Helps unify the piece. You can strategically break the consistency to draw focus. For example, Fina is the only figure with a true blue overlay. This helps her stand out from the other figures who have reds and greens.Â
Step 6: Touch Ups and Final Renderings
Now comes the most tedious part. If youâre like me, your computer fans have been whirring for the last few hours trying to render this monster of a file. If you havent already, SAVE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THINGS GOOD
These are the last four layers I have for the entire piece. Here, I am trying to create effective and believable lighting. This kind of work I have only been able to achieve in clip studio or photoshop. You can do it with normal layers, but choose your colors CAREFULLY. Stay away from pure white. Carefully utilize your knowledge of light and shadow to create soft highlights. Harsh lines tend to be a stylistic choice for me. The final layer, subtract, dulls out harsh red tones. I used this as a final overlay to help put everyone and everything in the scene. Without it, things are a little too green and skin tones are a little too blushed for vampires.
The challenge here is I want to tone down the red, but not lose the vibrancy of the blood. So, shift it to a blue. This also helped reinforce the ânighttimeâ effect. Its only a slight change.
Final thoughts:
Whenever you finish something, its important to reflect.
1. I am so FUCKING PROUD OF MYSELF. This is easily one of the most complicated pieces Iâve done in a while- and Iâve made 16âČ tall faux stained glass. Brag. Let yourself feel awesome cuz you just made something awesome.Â
2. I timed myself on the piece. I could have easily spent another 7 hours on it. But its important to know when to stop messing with it. Partially for budget reasons but also when you get down to the details you can make yourself go insane. Theres also a ton of detail work I lost cuz of overlays or its just too small to notice. Finaâs face? hard to see cuz its not close enough.Â
3. I needed to take frequent breaks for this piece. That was good. Resting and stretching was very important. That is one of the reasons why I was able to work so fast.Â
4. I started doing more digital art in April 2020. I have to say, practice makes perfect. I practice drawing and digital painting for at least 3 hours a day.Â
That discipline has allowed me to improve so rapidly. So- I donât wanna hear shit about I canât possibly get this good! Or I couldnât even draw a stick figure! BULLSHIT. You can. Get yourself some free software like Krita or Autodesk sketchbook and start playing!Â
And thats what I got! Thanks for coming with me on this long post!Â

HI HERE IS EVERY SAI BRUSH I OWN
sooo I tend to horde brushes, like, a lot. itâs been a slowly growing collection here, but now Iâve gotten to the point where I literally have next to no room and I desperately have to delete some. BUT Iâm too paranoid of the fact that Iâll need one of them again some day. so I decided to dump âem all somewhere!
this is basically a reference for me in the future in case I need to remember That One Brush That Did A Thing that I may have deleted, but I figure I might as well also share them all since Iâm saving them anyway and maybe someone will find something they like. you can take any of them if they interest you, and feel free to change âem as you see fit.
most of them arenât mine, as Iâve basically always just swiped settings from a bunch of different places, so I have no idea where most of these came from. whoops!!
if you donât have the texture/blotmap/whatever: I unfortunately donât have a link to where I got all of mine, but most of them are here. if somethingâs missing, well, googleâs your pal and Iâm sure you can find âem.
anyway theyâre under the cut. warning: there is. a lot. letâs go.
Brush
blotchy and neat. doesnât blend much, but you can turn up âBlendingâ if you want it to. itâs pretty good for far away trees and bushes and all
Water
my usual blender, but I donât really use it much anymore since I prefer manually blending nowadays?? still okay to smooth stuff out though
SpaceFoam
a really nice feelinâ brush!! I donât even know what âspace foamâ means but it just ~feels~ it. just has this nice, dusty, foamy texture to it. I have another version of this brush that uses âNoiseâ instead of âFine Flat 2âł if you want it more round instead of square.
Crayonz
used to be a general brush for sketching/doodling, but I donât really use it much anymore. maybe youâll like it.
Rough Chalk
super chunky, rough, and dry chalk brush
Speckle
self explanatory I guess! pretty good for texture or large skin blemishes
Chalk(Standard)
I really like this brush-- itâs great for making simple, blended backgrounds! keep in mind, because itâs a marker, changing its opacity works differently than other brushes, ie it doesnât âlayerâ, itâs just a continuous tone
Badass Inker
OKAY I ACTUALLY DO KNOW WHERE THIS ONE IS FROM itâs here. mine is changed slightly but you figure out what you like. this was my main brush for lineart before I started inking in firealpaca. very sharp and crisp.
Marker
yep
RoughBrush
PKbrush
PKblotch
usually used it for a light, textured swash of color for an overlay layer or something. itâs supposed to be a big brush, but you can have it smaller I guess??
Acrylic
except it doesnât really resemble acrylic at all, lol. in this state I use it as one of my blenders. BUT ALSO FUN THING: set that ânormalâ dropdown to multiply to get a subtle darkening effect. sometimes I use this for âlineartâ in paintings.
Deliciously Dry
another brush from here. very nice rough texture.
Broken Chalk
I looove this weird little guy, lol. acts normal if you just go in a line, but itâll get all âblockyâ like that if you jitter your hand. because of this, it makes a pretty interesting leaf brush! it blends pretty cool, too.
BoneDry
aaaand ANOTHER from here.
Chalk
Chalk (... again)
Grass
itâs called grass but I honestly canât imagine using it as a grass brush, lmao. stringy and soft though, may work as the flats for hair??
Clouds
this brush is...... kinda weird?? I mean, itâs clouds I guess. itâs not really perfect, but itâll work if you spend enough time on it. I feel like it works better painting on the same layer than its own.
Gore
this brush is awfully light and soft for something called âgoreâ! actually I assume itâs called that cuz you use it as a patchy effect for wounds and stuff.
CG Smooth
named so because I think itâs supposed to resemble a brush used for very smooth, glossy, cg painting. (please excuse the shitty nose, Iâm way rusty)
Paint
do you know how many random generic paint brushes I have
Paint 2
cuz itâs a lot
Paint 3
a loooootttt
Parrot
Iâm weirdly fond of this one even though itâs not super special. I feel like itâd be good for smooth, bright, poppy blending.
Tint
this is another weird one. itâs like..... if you wanted to do a painty wash, I guess?
Chunky
like Broken Chalk above, this is another one that gets cool things when you jitter it. this one is a little more... jagged? reminds me of broken glass
CLead
this one works weiiirdly and maybe I should make a whole separate post about it?? well for now, this oneâs basically like a dry marker or highlighter or something. I like it a lot.
PSPainting
I think itâs called that cuz itâs supposed to emulate painting in photoshop, even though it...... doesnât, really, at all.
Copic 2
Water 10
another random blender. it doesnât work on transparent areas though! (bring its dilution down if you want it to)
Copic
I have no idea if this is even remotely close to how a copic works (probably not)
TraditionalPencil
Iâm never really 100% satisfied with most âpencilâ brushes in sai, but hereâs one anyway I guess.
Lead
and hereâs another. this is the one that I actually tend to use
Acrylic (....... again)
and like our first acrylic, this is not really acrylic at all. super soft and light blender
BrushPen
SUPER rough and textured pen kinda thing
AmazingAcrylic
if you say so, name! actually this does look like it blends p cool
RIPbrush
why is it called this. what am I even doing with half these brushes. why am I here.
NEBULA
oh wait this oneâs neat (neat enough to make two images even). good for all your spacey needs! the second one is a bunch of colors and set to âluminosityâ, so you can get some cool effects.
shrugs (great name)
the marker tool is a strange being but Iâve really learned to love it lately. the key to this brush is setting that drop down up there to âmultiplyâ, so you can get really deep darks with your base color where you need it. the downside to this being that you canât really use preserve opacity to change it to a different color or youâll lose the effect of those darks (you can use hue/saturation/brightness shift tho, but it might be a lil weird)
aaaand everything else I didnât post were accidental duplicates! so thatâs it!! that sure was a lot but maybe you found something in here you liked ;0

You know how you've divided the Fairies into various species, such as pixies and elves and leprechauns? What about the Ghosts? You could have banshees who scream all the time (Ember?), poltergeists who turn invisible and wreak havoc with inanimate objects (Box Ghost?), nature spirits (Frostbite?), genies who grant wishes (Desirée?), doppelgÀngers who copy other people (is Danny his own doppelgÀnger?), etc.
Did you seriously Google that accent aigu and umlaut for an Ask because wow dedication you are the kind of support I need in an Anon
I do want to divide a few of the Ghosts (capital G being for their class same way I do for Fairies and encompassing plurals, lowercase g for the species itself). I didnât think about dividing them much further, but I donât have my headcanons pinned down, so thatâs something I should look into, especially if youâre interested in! Iâm not super familiar with ghost subtypes. Research!
If any of you have read âNo Anestheticâ yet, youâve seen my theory for how Ghosts are created: when a dead body falls into one of those portals that randomly opens and stays open for only a few seconds or minutes. Dead things reanimate after nine seconds (so yes, in the Ghost Zone, the Lunch Ladyâs meat powers create cows and turkeys and stuff. After nine seconds).
I was thinking that fresher bodies might become ghosts, and bones with little or no meat become skeletons, like those seen in âPrisoners of Loveâ and âPirate Radioâ. Thereâs a big distinction between those two classes, with the Ghosts claiming the skies and leaving the Skeletons the ground, so Youngbloodâs a weird fellow who links them together. Whoops. I hope that doesnât turn into something Sueish. As long as I donât make crowds of backgrounders super mad at him for defying these barriers or all in support of it and just donât make a big deal about it, I think it should work out fine.
So if thatâs the angle Iâm working with, I need to decide how one becomes a certain species. Perhaps it was the last thought they had, or something- Ember, for example, may have woken just before the smoke/fire killed her, and died screaming. And I still need to work special abilities in there somehow. Youngbloodâs invisibility I think would render him a poltergeist too!Â
Iâm still trying to figure out if heâs friends or enemies with the Box Ghost (because a pirate would want storage crates on his ship, and did the Box Ghost lend them to him because Youngblood bought/borrowed them, or do they constantly fight over who gets them, and am I going to be able to have Youngblood waltz into the wedding âfic, or is he going to have to sneak in, and if heâs sneaking in then why would our narrator Poindexter put up with this pirate whose job description is literally being a bully if he doesnât have to?), but being the same species - especially if it turned out to be an uncommon one - would add another layer to their relationship.Â
Or maybe it wouldnât be the last thought, but based on a strong aspect of their personality- in this case, Youngblood constantly playing pranks when he was alive. Box Ghost, uh⊠moving boxes around because that was his job when he was alive. Genies would be those who lived and died wanting to help people (although dying to save others might result in a species of its own).
The problem with genies (as usual) is that theyâre so overpowered. I mean, I guess thereâs the possible limitation of not being able to use any magic themselves, only for others⊠but if helpful people are dying, that leads to too many genies, I think. Hmm. Maybe genies tend to live in a special area of the Ghost Zone because they get sick of being bothered.
We know every ghost has a talent related to their personality. Iâm trying to figure out if they are always related to that personâs personality, or if they go with certain species, PokĂ©mon-style, and personalities build around them. Do I want, say, six major subspecies, or do I want twenty or more?
I could possibly go off skin colors here, but there doesnât appear to be a correlation between colors and abilities, and probably species either. And I definitely wouldnât want anyone to misinterpret such a headcanon as me implying negative connotations between âunpleasantâ types of ghosts and groups of real-life people, so I guess itâs better to just end that idea here.
On the subject though, my guess would be skin color probably relates to human skin color, maybe? Black skin to blue, Latinx to green, white to gray? Maybe purple for those of Asian descent? Are there any purple ghosts (I think Bullet)? I havenât looked into it a lot and I havenât double-checked this with Dora, who has green skin and might have a canon color palette for when she was alive (even though having a colored photo makes zero sense given how old she is), so donât hold me to this, though. What do you guys think?
(What baffles me is that Dannyâs clothes, eyes, and hair change colors when he goes ghost, but his skin stays the same. That wouldâve been awesome to see, for example, a Black or Latino Phantom, and definitely wouldâve made it more difficult for people to recognize the similarities between the two Dannys. Ghostly gray skin would have been cool too, since I think heâs the only ghost with skin that looks human. Welp.)
Ghosts are very complicated. I would have liked to see more world-building like this explained in the show, but I guess it is fun to do the work myself too. Sometimes (It is a lot of work and I canât find quite the thrill I get from FOP. I like fantasy, magic, and animals- not sci-fi, tech, and buildings).
I wish I had more to draw from. I need Ghost Zone flora and fauna, and I need more Ghost culture. I donât want to use all my good ideas in fanfiction for a show that, while enjoyable, doesnât strike as strong a chord with me as FOP, TD, and CZ when Iâm trying to design my own fantasy world at the same time The âNameâ prompt kind of drained me on magic plants and I do wish sometimes I could take certain headcanons back for personal project use but hey, if it gets me Followers then thatâs a good thing âcuz my aunt whoâs an editor says publishers immediately snap to attention if they hear you have a lot of Followers on social media because of the possibility of yâall buying my books so having you guys click that button might help me someday soon.
Honestly, I canât see myself ever getting as involved with âDanny Phantomâ as I have with FOP. I want to write Youngbloodâs âfic because heâs underrated and I like him and want him to have one. I want to write the Box Ghost/Lunch Lady wedding âfic. I want to finish that one-shot I have of Danny in the hospital after the accident. I want to participate in Phanniemay. Iâd love to write a âfic about Skulker and Ember and the Christmas celebration from Season 2, with some Youngblood adjusting to life after Sitaristâs death, but I can already feel a few of you rolling your eyes at the thought. Yes I like Youngblood okay I like him a lot.
Otherwise, unless I go for that DP/âChalkZoneâ crossover that I have zero plans for, Iâll probably bow out of the phandom, only popping back to answer Asks or do a few doodles. I want to work on personal works and novels that I can publish, and balancing that with FOP is difficult enough (I still have to get through Origin, Knots, and the Prompts, all of which I think about constantly on a daily basis. Geez, then thereâs âLyin Queenâ, âBeatinâ Pathâ, âLions Under Palm Treesâ⊠Yeah, no wonder all my personal projects are hardly drafts).
Do you guys like this species idea? Itâll take me some time to research ghosts and stuff. If you have suggestions, feel free to offer them for consideration.
