The real reason why I like Hellaverse/Helluverse, it's just reminds me of Hozuki's Coolheadedness/Hoozuki no reitetsu so bad.
If you like Onitetsu and also Helluverse, let's interact.

sorry I’m giving you another ask
But I don’t get why some fans have a hard time separating the art form the artist. (The Stans I mean not casual fans or former fans) like I get really loving both shows and the excitement for Hazbin Hotel (I kind of am guilty pleasure i won’t keep my expectations too high and you can’t blame me for being burnt out from season 2 of Helluva boss)
Like it’s possible to just support everyone else that worked on the show except for Viv. I feel like that’s why I still have a connection to it… i legit believe everyone else worked hard on it and Viv did the bare minimum. You can’t blame animation mistakes since those designs are tricky to animate. (viv BADLY needs to simplify that shit )
I mean it’s kind of how I feel about John K, I love Ren and Stimpy since everyone else out their heart and soul to it than he ever did. (While everything else he made is shit. He only got lucky with that show since he had other people help him)
Admittedly, I too gave Viv the benefit but it’s been slowly decaying… I had to remind myself treat her how you did with John K.
Still enjoy my hazbin/Helluva ocs and fanart and idk I like to make AUs that fix canon since that’s what me and some of my friends are doing. We enjoy the characters and shows but we don’t like Viv 🙃🙃🙃 (also we bond over our mutual hate for Stolas )
I also think people shouldn’t pressure someone to separate the art from the artist either. That should be the personals choice, I do get why it may be hard for others to do that.
I just think these fans should at least not worship Viv since that leads to unhealthy parasocial relationship. Also I want the fandom to STOP promoting toxic positivity and let people not like things.
I am so nervous af to share my Heaven AU for Hazbin hotel on twitter for this reason 🙃🙃🙃 and I worry if i critique things, they’ll act like piss babies and bully me away.
Make your thing, Anon. Share it and have fun with it and if Viv or her toxic stans don't like it, tell them to piss up a rope.

Vivziepop Criticism
Hello Wayward Sinners!
I wanted to do a full on post about the criticism of Viv because a lot of the things I see people raving about with Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss usually are just very hateful. I'd like to take a moment to address the fact that Viv isn't the sole creator of Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel, and giving her all of that hate is honestly unfair to her. She is a director and producer, yes, but this does not mean she had all creative liberty. This doesn't mean she isn't to blame but it's also not on us to solely blame her for the possible problems of both respective shows. As a person who wants to be an indie animator and even a director myself, I know the effort it takes to make a production. It's a lot of people! We have to remember that as a society, we have bias pushed onto us. We have subconscious bias to be more disrespectful towards women in media who are successful. That's because we're brought up to think women are lesser or aren't competent, but I'd like to remind everyone that Brandon Rogers is equally a producer and director of Helluva Boss. And lets not even forget that Hazbin Hotel is a whole production with multiple writers, artists, and so many more. A professional company decided Viv's designs weren't bad which means it's likely intentional. I also want people to remember that humans aren't a linear species. We aren't linear, we have learning curves. Give other humans the benefit of the doubt. If you're going to send hate then rethink why you're sending that hate. If you're criticizing I'd like for everyone to remember to criticize the whole production/direction (Not including Voice Directors. They have no say) staff who works on this production. Stop sending only criticisms to Viv, and instead send them to overall staff. It was written by Vivienne. The story is by Brandon, Vivienne, and Adam Neylan. Just because it's directed and produced by her doesn't mean she has all creative liberty. A good director takes others opinions into account when the creative process happens. I personally think it's a little ridiculous all the shit she gets for her writing skills. She gets quite a bit of shit for the "one dimensional" nature of Millie, Loona, and Stella for Helluva Boss. To which I say you're not looking at the character's bigger picture. Millie clearly deals with self worth issues, Loona deals with deep trauma that comes out in little hints, and Stella grew up in a very privileged position. Millie is incredibly well written if you look at her from her own standpoint. She doesn't talk about her deep past because she has a good relationship with her parents, didn't have a poor childhood overall, and is emotionally stable mostly. But we know that she got outshined by her sister, Sally may, frequently! She needed to be validated by teenagers for her physical skills. Millie sacrifices a lot for Moxxie, but that doesn't make her a supporting character to him. I'd love to have another episode about Millie: we all would. But she’s actually a well written character.
Don’t get me started about Loona either! Loona is very true to how people work. She is standoffish, and pretty rude in the start of most new interactions. She’s a traumatized young adult. As a traumatized young adult who has/had friends who are traumatized young adults, one of them acts like Loona! She’s really standoffish but incredibly sweet and needs lots of thoughtful attention. Loona has had lovely character development. I think even Stella being one dimensional is like how Striker is one dimensional, but I do not see a single criticism for Striker. I don't see criticism for arguably the worst written character in the series: Crimson. People want to call out when women aren't portrayed as inherently vulnerable. But what have we gotten that's good, that is so downplayed in modern media? Men being vulnerable. Men being abused, physically(implied by Stella’s interaction with Stolas.) So, yeah. Helluva Boss and Hazbin Hotel aren’t bad and we give Viv way too much overall flack. Give flack to all creators.
Anyway that’s all I have,
What do you think?
Stay tuned for more!

WGA / SAG-AFTRA Strikes Masterpost
[ !! this post will be edited if there are any updates to info or if i discover i made any errors in my research, so i don’t recommend reblogging it !! ]
✤ TL;DR:
viv has now said in an interview posted October 26th, 2023 that the delay was due to Hazbin Hotel not having a streaming platform, and making arrangements with Prime.
prior to that, viv said on July 13th, 2023, that she felt it was "safe to say" the actor's strike "effects both (helluva boss and hazbin hotel)" even though she could only speak for helluva. [ link to post detailing her tweets & replies that mentioned the strikes ]
what i think is the strikes weren't the main cause but they caused minor delays due to their effect on the industry, and the main cause was Hazbin Hotel not having a distribution partner.
the timeline of WGA strikes and Hazbin Hotel's delay coincidentally line up with each other
✤ basic info about a24 and the unions:
A24 handles producing (funding, organizing) and distributing (marketing, release strategizing, platform seeking) of their products.
Bento Box is the studio that handled animation for Hazbin Hotel.
WGA is the union for WRITERS in film, TV, radio, and online media.
SAG-AFTRA is the union for ACTORS and RADIO ARTISTS.
SAG-AFTRA allowed A24 to continue filming MOVIES with SAG-AFTRA actors around late July 2023 due to A24 not being affiliated with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) that SAG-AFTRA & WGA were/are striking against.
the only thing i've found about A24 and the WGA was a Redditor saying that in relation to SAG-AFTRA's decision to allow A24 to use their actors, WGA hadn't made a decision about A24.
The WGA contract does not cover writing for general advertising, however the development of branded television/entertainment shows/projects that are using WGA writers most likely would've been put on hold. Non-WGA writers would also hesitate to work during a strike for fear of ruining rep/scabbing/ruining their own chances to eventually join the union themselves. (pic below)
Regarding the above; "development" usually means earlier pre-production work, so this may not be applicable to HH at all.
✤ timeline of strike updates, hazbin releases, and vivziepop tweets:
A24 picked up Hazbin Hotel in August 2020.
The Hazbin Hotel Twitter posted that it would be coming in Summer 2023 on October 27th, 2022.
Hazbin Hotel's Twitter continued to make general promotional posts with images & GIFs of the characters throughout 2023 starting with... January 31st - "it's going to be one hell of a year!" February 28th - "lovers in hell"
Hazbin Hotel's wrap-party was posted about on socials in late March 2023. [ As far as I've found wrap-parties generally are held once everything is completed & ready for post-production, but can still take months or years to come out afterwards, although the industry tends to want things out the door fast these days. ]
Hazbin Hotel's Twitter continued to post promo tweets... April 1st - Angel Dust's "birthday" April 30th - "Charlie is excited! Are you?"
The WGA strike began in early May 2023
Viv says in a reply tweet that the WGA (writer's) strike wouldn't effect a Helluva Boss episode that had already been written. (this is true.)
Hazbin Hotel's Twitter continued to post promo tweets... May 31st - "What's Alastor so happy about? We'll see!" June 30th - "Someone had a great month! #happypride"
SAG-AFTRA votes in approval of a strike on July 13th, 2023.
Viv tweets on July 13th, 2023 in support of the SAG-AFTRA (actor's) strike and explains the strike "will effect show marketing and promo so things might take longer" but doesn't specify if she meant for Helluva Boss or Hazbin Hotel.
The same day, in reply to someone asking if the strike would effect both shows or just Hazbin Hotel, Viv says she can only speak for Helluva Boss, but that she thinks it's "safe to say it effects both."
The SAG-AFTRA strike officially starts at midnight on July 14th, 2023.
Hazbin Hotel's Twitter doesn't make any further promotional posts or announcements for months
There were many developments and meetings on the WGA strike during September 2023.
The AMPTP met with the WGA to officially restart negotiations on September 14th, 2023
The WGA resumed negotiations on September 20th, 2023, with Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery, Netflix, and Universal Pictures.
The meeting on the 20th was followed by meetings on September 21st, September 22nd, and September 23rd, 2023.
VivziePop posted a tweet September 23rd, 2023, that an update would be “coming very soon”
On September 24th, 2023, the “writers and studios reached a tentative agreement”
On September 26th, 2023, the WGA leaders announced the strike would officially end.
The strike for WGA ended on September 27th, 2023 at 12:01am PDT.
The Hazbin Hotel trailer that announced its new release in January 2024 was released the very next day, September 28th, 2023.
Hazbin Hotel's Twitter resumes posting on September 28th, 2023 when they share the new trailer as well.
VivziePop posted that she had watched “through the whole season of hh” on October 4th, 2023.
On October 9th, 2023 the WGA successfully agreed to a new contract with AMPTP.
The Hazbin Hotel "Happy Day in Hell" preview was released on October 14th, 2023.
The SAG-AFTRA strike is still on-going as of October 13th, 2023.
✤ !! UPDATE !!
Viv has now said in an interview posted October 16th, 2023, that the delay was due to Hazbin Hotel not having a distribution partner (streaming platform), and once they made a deal with Prime they then had to make arrangements. (pic below)
✤ final thoughts
it would seem that they’ve been working the entire time/on and off since March 2023, and the delay was due to difficulty finding a streaming platform/making arrangements with Prime, like Vivzie claimed in this interview, and just happened to fall into a similar timeline with the WGA strike.
since she has said in reference to the actor’s strike she felt it was “safe to say it effects both (helluva boss AND hazbin hotel) then it’s possible that both caused a delay.
i.e. they were delayed while trying to find a platform, but there were ripples from the "drama" of the strikes throughout the industry that could've caused some other minor delays along the way while they were trying to find a platform, and/or as they were settling arrangements with Prime.
alright that's all the data and speculations i have, enjoy, and as always remember to take speculations with a grain of salt!
[ also feel free to send me any receipts you have regarding all this, you can always share your thoughts or feelings or theories in my ask box if you want to, but pls do not come to insist what is or isn’t true without including receipts/links pls and thank you! ]

Inside of Every Demon is Hope By: Megan Ryan
To commemorate Hazbin Hotel's 5 million views for their pilot, I have written this poem in honor of their milestone. It has a spin on Charlie and Alastor's songs (Both inside of every demon is a rainbow/inside of every demon is a lost cause)-for this one Inside of Every Demon is Hope. Vivziepop-you and your crew did an incredible job, your pilot is a unique masterpiece. It's like a fantasy/comedy/horror novel you can't put down because you wanna read it in one day (And that has happened to me one time with babysitter's guide to monster hunting, good book series being turned into a movie series by Netflix). So I give you this tribute in honor of your success-may Hazbin Hotel, Helluva Boss and Spindle Horse become Cartoon giants of the Animation Universe! :3
She had a dream She wished to tell It took many years With a small crew And a can-do spirit To bring a dream to life. Inside of Every Demon is Hope Inside of every sinner is a heart Inside a crazy psycho there's a child Inside of the evilest soul is a tender side. From the deepest depths of hell Comes Charlie-the Princess of Hell Wanting to save her people Dreams of opening a hotel To redeem the sinners So they can be saved to heaven. But not everyone in hell Agrees with her crazy plan For it's impossible for a demon To be redeemed and reformed. Yet Charlie ain't giving up With Vaggie by her side And their first patron To get things start THe infamous porn star Angel Dust the one and only! He loves to cause havoc With his bestie Cherri Bomb Cracking some Egg Boil into Omlettes To making smarky comments That Sir Pentious can't wrap His snake tail around. Yet the most feared demon Alastor is one to tread lightly For he is unlikely any being That Hell has ever seen. He may not believe Charlie's beliefs All he cares about is pure entertainment So he decides to fund her little project To see demons rise and topple to the ground For his sick and twisted amusement. He enlists a couple of demons To cash in on a few favors Nifty the neat freak cutie Husk the alcoholic Cat-Bat. With new allies on hand A sponsor to support her Charlie's dream may seem impossible But she'll prove it'll become possible To reform a sinner of their past So they can be blessed in heaven's light. Although it has taken a couple years To bring this beautiful work to life It paid off in the end for Viv and her crew As the pilot released on her birthday. It grew from a thousand to a million in a day Then as a week passes by in a blink of an eye That million turned into five million in a flash And this just happened in one week! A major milestone A huge success A tremendous accomplish! A dream turned reality! Here on the internet The show's been growing swell Like a zombie from the grave Is going burst through to reality TO bring it's chaos for the world to know They'll spend a little time down at the Hopeful HOTEL!

since viv recently said the delay of hazbin hotel’s release (from summer 2023 to now january 2024) was due to not having a distribution partner (streaming platform) that left just one question:
did viv ever say the strikes would affect hazbin hotel?
TL;DR: the answer is: in reference to the SAG-AFTRA (actor's) strike, viv said "I can only speak for Helluva, but i think it's safe to say it effects both (helluva boss, and hazbin hotel)." here’s the break-down of her 3 tweets / replies that mention the strikes.
first, on May 16th, 2023, she said specifically the writer’s strike (WGA strike, which began in early May 2023) wouldn’t affect a helluva boss episode that was already written.
(and that is true, the writer strikes could not affect productions already written.)
second, she expressed support of “cast friends” who began striking July 13th, 2023 (this was the SAG-AFTRA strike aka the actor’s strike, which was voted to approval on July 13th and then announced it would "officially" begin at midnight on July 14th.)
then she said “this strike will effect show marketing and promo” saying it might “take longer” and she wants “my team to actually be able to enjoy a release with the rest of us!” that “content can wait, support them!!” she didn’t specify in this tweet if she was referring to her hb team or her hh team.
third, in a reply to the above tweet someone asked "Will this strike effect both of your shows or just Hazbin?"
viv said she "can only speak for Helluva" but "I think it's safe to say it effects both yeah."
so, was hazbin's delay due to the strikes, or not having a platform?
here's what i think: i think it's both.
i think that the main cause is likely as viv said in her recent october interview, "at first Hazbin didn't have a distribution partner"
but, like she said in july, even tho she can only speak for helluva she felt it was "safe to say (the actor's strike) effects both," both meaning helluva boss *and* hazbin hotel.
i do think either strike could've caused additional minor delays, whether they would've literally affected hazbin hotel's "promo and marketing" as viv mentioned in her tweet, or there was simply some small delays and hiccups as a result of how the strikes were/are affecting the industry at-large.
[ my masterpost of the timeline has been updated with this information. ]
