Aim for the Sky Part 18 | Rooster x Reader
Summary: When grandparents come to visit, Rose gets spoiled silly, and you and Bradley get an opportunity to spend some time alone. You have doubts about your body, but being around your husband makes you feel as good as you hoped it would.
Warnings: Fluff, angst, adult language, lactation kink, messing around, DILF Roo
Length: 5200 words
Pairing: Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw x Female Reader
Aim for the Sky masterlist. This was written to accompany my series Is It Working For You? along with a bunch of my one-shots and other series, but it can be read on its own! Check my masterlist for the reading order.
You were exhausted, and your breasts hurt. There was so much to do, and Rose wanted to eat constantly. Taking a twenty minute shower felt like a luxury, but your husband insisted on it when you started to cry in the kitchen.
"Do you want some ginger ale?" he asked, tucking Rose into the baby carrier so she would hopefully fall asleep.
"Yeah," you replied, not really sure why you were crying. Bradley patted your butt and told you to go get in the shower, promising to bring the drink in for you.
While the water warmed up, you got undressed and stared at yourself in the mirror. Your body was like a deflated balloon, and you couldn't stop thinking about how weird you looked. Absolutely nothing was as tight as it used to be, and even your face looked unamused and annoyed. And every time you thought about how much you hated the way your body looked now, you got upset with yourself, because you had a beautiful daughter.
"You didn't get in the shower?"
You had you pull yourself out of your daze to meet Bradley's eyes in the mirror. He was holding a plastic cup, and Rose appeared to have finally fallen asleep. "Oh. I will."
You were almost embarrassed to have him in the bathroom with you as you scrutinized your new bits of cellulite and stretch marks, but he simply wrapped his free arm around you from behind and whispered, "Take your time. I'm going to put Rose in her crib, and then we can watch a movie or snuggle."
Unshed tears burned at your eyes and your throat as he kissed your bare shoulder. He had to go back to work tomorrow. Your parents were arriving tomorrow night. There were so many things happening all at once, and you were overwhelmed even though you barely had to lift a finger with him taking care of so much.
Bradley's breath was warm on your skin as you shivered, naked in the middle of the room. "I love you, Baby Girl. Get in the shower. You'll feel better."
Somehow, he was right. The steamy water pounded against your skin while you sipped your cold ginger ale, and even the sound echoing off the glass and tile was oddly satisfying. You took a few deep breaths with your eyes closed and didn't move for a couple minutes before you reached for the soap.
You didn't even try to put your own clothing on when you finally walked back into your bedroom. Nothing fit, and you didn't want to have to deal with looking at yourself like that in the mirror again, so you pulled on Bradley's old, stretched out gym shorts and one of his shirts. You felt freshly scrubbed and in a much better mood as you walked down the hallway and poked your head inside Rosie's nursery. She was sprawled out on her back in one of her fuzzy sleepers, and you smiled at Tramp curled up in a circle on the rug. He lifted his head to look at you as you turned toward the living room where you could hear the TV on with the volume low.
"Hi," you whispered, and Bradley lifted the blanket so you could join him on the couch. "You got her down okay?"
He wrapped his muscular arm around you. "I did. Eventually. She started crying the first time I set her down, and then Tramp licked her through the crib which made her cry more. This parenting shit is exhausting."
For the first time in a week, you realized just how tired he looked. Bradley made everything seem so easy right now, and you didn't know how you'd manage while he was at work tomorrow. But he looked like he needed a good night's sleep tonight.
"Want to watch an episode of Real Housewives?" you asked.
He shrugged and tried not to smile. "Only if you want to." It was shamelessly his favorite show, so you queued up an episode and curled up facing his chest. "Aren't you going to watch it, too?" he chuckled, nodding past you to the TV.
You responded by raking your fingers through his hair, and a second later he was yawning. "I'll watch it in a minute," you lied, and he melted into the scalp massage you gave him. Each soft grunt you elicited from him was followed by him closing his eyes for a few seconds, and as soon as you kissed the scars on his cheek, he was sound asleep. Then your fingers went slack in his hair as you yawned.
The two of you got a solid five hours on the couch before Rose started crying for food.
-------------------------------
"How's the baby? Can I see a picture?"
Bradley sighed quietly to himself and turned to see Javy pulling on a pair of compression shorts next to him.
"She's great. Gets a little better at sleeping every night," he replied, scrolling through his photo gallery to show him a picture of Rose in her crib. Everyone and their mother seemed to stop him on his way to the locker room, and it was getting to the point where he was going to be late to the tarmac if everyone didn't shut up.
"Damn! She's adorable," Javy said with a laugh. "Kind of makes me want one."
"That's called 'baby fever'," Bradley said, tucking his phone away so he could pull on his flight suit. "Apparently it's a real thing and highly contagious. Want me to put a stop to it for you?"
"Sure," Javy said smoothly, still laughing until Bradley told him the cost of the fancy daycare on base for a month. "Jesus," the other man gasped. "Never mind."
"Exactly," Bradley muttered, finally zipping up his flight suit when Jake strolled in.
"How's my goddaughter, Rose Bradshaw?" he asked, loud enough that anyone in a three mile radius would have heard.
"Wait, you made Hangman the godfather?" asked Mickey from the other side of the lockers. "Damn. That's pretty wild."
Bradley took a deep breath and said, "I need to get out on the tarmac to talk to Maverick."
There was something kind of awful about coming back to work after a week off with just you and the baby, and he realized he was in a shitty mood as he took the long way outside to avoid everyone else. He missed Rose, and he missed making lunch for you. He was getting pretty good at smashing up the nasty avocado stuff and globbing it onto a perfectly toasted slice of overpriced bread. He really felt like he should still be there with you just in case you needed something.
"There you are," Maverick said, pushing his aviators higher on his nose as Bradley hustled through the hangar. "How's little Rose?"
He wanted to tell his godfather that it was bullshit that he had to be at work when he had an adorable nine day old daughter he could be playing with, but he bit his tongue. "She's great. Thanks for the stuffed animals. The goose and the rooster were a nice touch."
Maverick waved him off. "You don't need to thank me for anything. Let's have a conversation as we walk to the tower." Bradley kept up the same pace with him as he said, "I'm going to need you to stay until six today. I'll give you a shot performing a dog fighting exercise with some of the new arrivals, but you'll need to stay and write up your post lesson notes."
Bradley licked his lips. On one hand, he'd been grabbing onto every little crumb that was offered when it came to teaching on base. If he could spend more time working out of North Island and less time on an aircraft carrier, he would be able to avoid some of the long deployments that made having a wife and child at home feel so impossible. On the other hand, he was supposed to pick your parents up from the airport at six. He didn't want to send you and Rose out in rush hour to get them even though he knew nothing could beat the comfort and safety of the red Bronco.
Hopefully he could get to the airport quickly enough that your parents wouldn't even notice he was running late. He cleared his throat nervously. "Sounds good, Mav. I'll stay until six."
-----------------------------
By dinnertime, you were in tears. Rose was already crying again. You just finished feeding her. You were trying to figure out how to use the breast pump, but now it was in pieces on the kitchen island. You couldn't even manage to put ten minutes together to make it work properly. Your body looked scary, you forgot to eat lunch, your entire face was breaking out, and now Rose was wailing.
If you couldn't even make it through one day alone with her, how the fuck were you supposed to even be a mom?
"I'm coming," you called out, almost tripping over Tramp on your way back to the nursery. Your breasts were aching, and as soon as she latched on, you couldn't tell if they felt better or worse. You couldn't tell anything. You hadn't slept for more than five consecutive hours in over a week, because Rose was always hungry.
"Please take a nap after this," you whispered. "I need a nap, too." Truthfully, you wanted your parents here just as much as you wanted Bradley. Rose spit up on the kitchen floor earlier, and you kept forgetting to clean it up between her feeding frenzies. You could probably get your dad to do that. And you needed more panty liners from the story which your mom could probably handle. And you needed your husband to make you avocado toast before you withered away into oblivion.
"We're here!" Bradley called out through the house as you finished changing a wet diaper. You quickly yanked your dirty tank top back over your head, and as soon as you walked out into the living room, you started crying.
And so did your parents as they crowded around you, kissing your cheeks and looking at the baby in your arms.
"It was one thing seeing her over facetime," your mom sobbed, "but she's even more precious in person."
"Hi, Rose. I'm your grandpa," you dad whispered as the baby yawned. "I think she kind of looks like me."
You laughed as you cried, relief flooding through your body as your mom scooped Rose up into her arms, and then Bradley was at your side, kissing your forehead.
"Did my pretty girls have a good day?" he asked, stroking your cheek with his thumb and smiling at you as if you looked like a fairy princess rather than an unfed, exhausted rat.
He smelled a bit like jet fuel, and for some reason he was still wearing his flight suit even though he knew you couldn't have sex with him. "It was just really hard," you whispered, looking up at him like you needed him to understand without you having to explain it to him.
Bradley glanced around at the pump parts in the kitchen and the spit up on the floor. He held you a little tighter as he nodded. "It was really hard for me, too. I just wanted to be here to try to make your day easier." Now you were crying in earnest as your mom and dad continued to make a fuss over the baby, but Bradley was already walking you backwards toward the hallway. "I'm sure the grandparents can hold down the fort while we take a little break?"
"Absolutely," your mom replied, kissing Rose's feet while your dad held her. "Take your time."
As soon as you were in the quiet solace of your bedroom, Bradley bent to remove his boots, and then he unzipped his flight suit and left it in a heap on the floor. "I think I'd feel better if we got in bed for a few minutes." You nodded in agreement, climbing into the unmade bed, and a second later, you were wrapped up in his arms under the covers. He sighed as you curled up against his chest. "Yeah. This is what I needed."
It was like night and day for you. As soon as you were with him, everything felt better. More manageable. Like you could handle all of it. Bradley pressed his lips to your temple as you whispered, "I've been waiting for this moment all day."
"God, I fucking love you, Baby Girl."
You laughed in response, but you weren't joking. "I'm so serious, Roo. I was overwhelmed, and I haven't eaten anything since breakfast. And Rose is just hungry all day and all night, and I can barely keep up."
His big hand slid up and down your arm, soothing away your stress as he murmured, "Well, you make it look easy, Sweetheart. Best mom in the world. As soon as I get my fill of you, I'll make you dinner."
You let his words sink in as you got your breathing under control. Then you finally lifted your head from his chest and kissed him. "I think I'll be okay."
Bradley sat up with you in his lap. "Let's eat something, and then we can feed Rose and get right back in bed. I'll bet I can get your dad to walk Tramp."
The two of you had only been in your bedroom for about twenty minutes, but when you walked back out into the kitchen, it was like a miracle had occurred. There was no mess on the floor. The breast pump appeared as though it had been set up correctly. Your dad was walking back inside with Tramp, already having completed a walk, and your mom was rocking Rose in her arms in the kitchen with four plates of dinner lined up on the counter.
"I hope sandwiches are okay," she said when she spotted you and Bradley. "Just something simple tonight. Tomorrow I'll make spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread."
You took Rose from her and handed the baby to Bradley before throwing your arms around your mom's neck. "Thank you," you whispered, voice shaking with an emotion that wasn't unpleasant. "All of this is really overwhelming."
"We're here to help make it easier. Eat your sandwich."
--------------------------
Having your parents stay for the week seemed to make all the difference in the world. They knew how to handle seemingly everything. When you winced after feeding Rose, your mom mentioned getting some ointment. She made a shopping list and ran to the store, and she even brought back the correct type of coffee. And your dad didn't seem to mind sitting in the nursery in the middle of the night, burping and rocking Rose after you finished feeding her so you could go right back to bed.
In fact, every single thing they did, they did with a smile on their face. They were absolutely loving this. And every so often, Bradley felt a pang of sadness associated with something he would never get to experience.
He was thankful for his in-laws, but he would give anything right now to get to experience his own mom and dad having a visit with Rose. It hurt too much to think about it for more than a few seconds here and there, so he forced himself not to. But you always seemed to have a way of honoring them even when he couldn't come up with one himself, and he was so thankful that you did. When he walked in from work on Wednesday, you were sitting at the kitchen island, pumping your breast milk and typing on your computer.
"Hey, Sweetheart. Where's the Nugget?" Bradley asked as you tipped your head to the side to let him kiss your neck.
"She's outside with my mom," you replied easily. "And my dad is taking a nap upstairs since he was up so much last night."
He hummed as he saw your mom walk across the back patio with Rose in her arms and Tramp following behind them. "What are you working on?"
You sounded calm and relaxed as you said, "Finally getting the hang of the pump. The ointment my mom got is helping so much, and I'm trying to store some of my milk in the fridge to make things easier. Oh, and I'm sending baby pictures to Brenda and the other cousins."
You turned and kissed him over your shoulder as he looked at your computer screen. There was an adorable collage of photos of Rose as well as a family tree graphic that you made. It had everyone's name on it, including Nick and Carole Bradshaw, with the branches all leading to Rose's name in the middle.
"That's really pretty," he whispered, getting choked up.
"I thought so, too," you said, reaching for his hand. "Maybe we can get a copy printed and hang it by the piano?"
"Yeah. We should do that," he grunted, letting his forehead rest on your shoulder. "I'll be back after I say hi to Rosie."
When he walked outside, your mom was telling a very elaborate rendition of the Three Little Pigs to his daughter while she yawned like she was going to fall asleep. "Want me to put her in the nursery so you can take a break?" he asked quietly.
"I've got her," she replied, nodding back toward the house. "Why don't you take your wife out for a few hours? She's been pumping all day, so I can just give this little one a bottle if she gets hungry after her nap."
"Oh," Bradley grunted. It was Wednesday. This used to be Hard Deck night for the two of you. Nobody would expect it, and it might even be fun. "Yeah. Okay." He kissed the top of Rose's head and went back inside, taking you by the hand as you sent the photos and the family tree off in an email.
"What are you doing?" you asked as he led you toward the bedroom. "You want to snuggle?"
"Yes. Always. But right now, we're going out for a few hours."
"Where?"
Bradley smirked. "It's Wednesday."
You gave him a confused look that melted away immediately. "The Hard Deck?"
"Of course."
-----------------------------
The idea of getting out of the house took over your brain and made you feel lighter than air, but the prospect of having to wear real clothes was upsetting to say the least. You knew your jeans wouldn't fit, and just thinking about the tight waistband against your belly made you cringe. You watched Bradley change into the tropical print shirt you got him for Christmas, the one that matched Rosie's, and he looked impossibly handsome.
"I'll be ready to leave when you are," he promised, kissing your cheek as he tucked his wallet into his jeans pocket. "Just let me know, okay?"
Then he rushed from the room, leaving you alone with an entire wardrobe of clothing that made you want to scream. After looking at nearly everything you owned, you settled on black leggings that were a little too big on you before you got pregnant and your oversized red sweater. You carefully got dressed, scared to look at yourself in the bathroom mirror, but you needed to put on some makeup.
The finished product wasn't too bad. You looked tired, but so did Bradley. Your outfit mostly hid your weird shape, and you were absolutely craving a beer right now. After this week, you were going to owe your parents big time, but when you went out to the living room, they appeared to be absolutely thriving.
Your dad had a rattle and a crinkle toy in his hands, and Rose was reaching for them while your mom held her. Every time the baby moved an inch, they cheered. You had to stifle your laughter as Bradley came in through the front door with a small bundle of flowers.
"Where did you get those?" you asked him as you leaned down to give Rose a kiss on her cheek.
"From the neighbor's shrub." When you gave him a concerned look, he added, "I asked first! I wanted you to have flowers for date night. I'm pretty sure it's important to keep the magic alive after you have a kid."
The Hard Deck and flowers from a shrub seemed kind of ridiculous for a date, but he was always so sincere. "Thanks, Roo. This is perfect."
He smiled as you put the flowers in the kitchen, and your mom said, "Get a move on, you two. We have everything under control."
You and Bradley were speed walking out to the blue Bronco when you said, "It's like I'm in high school again. I have to get permission from my parents to go out for the night."
Bradley's laughter put an enormous smile on your face as he buckled you in the front seat. He ran his thumb along your cheek and whispered, "You look beautiful," before closing the door. His words left your heart racing, because you knew he meant them. When he backed out of the driveway, he said, "We should stop for pizza on the way there."
It felt like a date early on in your relationship. Sitting in a booth together, constantly holding hands, legs intertwined under the table. Neither of you could stop smiling or laughing, and Bradley still had no shame when it came to inhaling slice after slice of pizza. The best part was when he pulled a bottle of the hot sauce you made in Mexico out of his pocket and set it on the table.
"Oh my goodness!" you gasped, carefully covering your slice in it so you didn't actually waste any. "You win husband of the year, once again."
"I wonder if Rose will like hot sauce," he mused before folding up a slice and eating it in three bites.
"She better," you replied, moaning in delight. "If she knows what's good for her."
Bradley devoured the last slice when you pushed it toward him. "Let's go fuck up the Hard Deck, Sweetheart."
--------------------------------
"Mom and Dad are here!"
Bradley groaned when Natasha announced his arrival to everyone in the bar, but you just laughed and snuggled against his side when he slung his arm over your shoulders. Within seconds, the two of you were stopped in your tracks as the usual crowd and a few others came over to offer congratulations and say hello. And a few minutes after that, both of you were holding two drinks.
"Where's my goddaughter?" Jake called over the music, and Bradley pursed his lips.
"She's our designated driver," he replied. "She's waiting in the Bronco."
The aviators laughed as you shook your head and said, "My parents are visiting for the week. They insisted we go out and have a good time."
"So you came to the Hard Deck?" Reuben asked, leaning in to give you a hug. "Rooster, take your wife and the mother of your child somewhere nicer next time."
You were laughing as hard as everyone else now, as Bradley groaned and looked at the ceiling. "I used to like it here," he said as Nat pulled both of you in for a bear hug.
And that was when the two of you were saved from being the center of attention by an even more exciting arrival.
"He's back!"
Bradley turned in time to see Bob walking in, holding Maria's hand. His cheeks were flushed pink, and his glasses were a little crooked, and Bradley could tell instantly why they were just getting to the bar now even if the aircraft carrier docked this afternoon. At least they hadn't broken up over the deployment.
Maria shook her hand free and made a beeline toward you. "Oh my god, I can't believe you're here! When can I come see the baby?"
"Any time," you replied. "I'll be home for weeks."
She kissed your cheek before giving Bradley a quick hug, too. "I'll bring Cam with me one night. And you should come to brunch this weekend or next weekend. You can bring Rose!"
Bradley cringed a bit at the idea of his tiny daughter being around a bunch of loud, germy strangers in a restaurant. "Or... she can just stay at home with me while you enjoy yourselves," he told you and Maria.
"Sure, Roo," you replied, stroking your fingers along his cheek. "Yeah, I'll make sure I get to brunch one of these weekends."
Bradley watched you converse with Maria, and then the two of you talked to a very overwhelmed looking Bob who also asked about the baby. And Bradley swore you only sipped at your beers, but you were starting to look a little tipsy.
"You okay, Sweetheart?" he asked, trying not to laugh as you danced around completely off the beat of the music playing on the jukebox.
"Yeah," you told him, smiling over your shoulder. You were so fucking adorable, it was unbelievable. "But my boobs are starting to get uncomfy. I'm going to need some relief soon." You turned to face him as you ran your hands along your chest, and even with that sweater on, his imagination took over.
His cock was already reporting for duty as he rasped, "You want me to take you home so Rose can nurse and make you feel better?"
You kind of shrugged in response as you took a step closer to him, still touching yourself. "Well, I've been drinking alcohol, so if we go home, I'll have to pump instead and then dump it down the drain."
"Fuck," Bradley groaned as you reached for his hand and brought it up to your chest in the middle of the Hard Deck. "I don't think you should be wasting that."
You smiled and asked, "Back seat of the Bronco then?"
When he just nodded at you like an idiot, you hooked your index finger through one of his belt loops and dragged him around, erection and all, to say goodbye to everyone. His jeans were not his friend at the moment. Not with the prospect of your tits leaking milk filling his mind. Once you had him outside, your lips were all over his.
"You make everything so much better, Bradley," you whispered against his mouth as your fingers tangled in his hair. "Literally everything."
"I love you so much. Fuck," he moaned as you cupped him through his jeans. Someone else was exiting the bar now, but he didn't have the wherewithal to tell you to stop. He didn't want you to stop. "Come on, Baby Girl," he said, ushering you to the promised solitude of the backseat.
--------------------------
You were so horny. You couldn't even fathom what was going on with your hormones that you were mostly in tears on Monday and desperate for an orgasm tonight. Straddling Bradley's lap in the back of the Bronco was nothing new for you, but you were a little concerned about the way your body looked.
"Holy fucking hell, you're so hot," he groaned, inching your sweater up and pulling it over your head. He was looking at you like you were a million dollar lottery prize with your stretched out belly and your nursing bra. He ran his hands up your hips to your waist, and he looked you in the eye as he said, "You're stunning."
Okay. Well, he could have anything he wanted. You unhooked your bra, letting it fall to the floor as you ground yourself against his erection. He hissed in response before bringing his hands up to your tits and giving them a little squeeze. You were already leaking milk, and Bradley was whimpering softly as he dragged his nose along the curve of one breast and then the other before tasting you.
"Roo," you gasped. His lips and mustache were needy and rough, and you couldn't stop yourself from rubbing your pussy against him. He looked up at you as he sucked on your nipple, and you played with his hair as you asked, "Do you like this?" He nodded before teasing you with his tongue and sucking more of your breast into his mouth. "I'm so horny," you moaned.
He released you. "I want to fuck the absolute shit out of you right now. Do you have any idea?" He started kissing your other nipple as he guided your hips so you were flush against the fly of his jeans. "I want you to get yourself off, Baby Girl," he rasped. "I know you can do it."
You had no shame, head tossed back, whining his name as he wrapped his perfect lips around your other nipple and helped himself. You could feel the outline of the head of his cock through his jeans. He was hard. So hard. And he felt good against your clit. You had to be soaking through your cotton underwear and leggings, but he kept guiding your hips closer and closer.
"Do it," he coaxed softly, running his mustache along your nipple.
You were about to tell him that your body felt so different, you weren't even sure if you'd be able to get off or if it would even feel good. But the words froze in your throat as Bradley parted his lips to taste you again, and you felt yourself gush into his mouth.
"Oh my god," you whispered, maybe a little embarrassed that you had no control over your own body. His eyes went wide as he lapped up your breast milk, and you arched your back as you came on his cock through his jeans, grabbing his hair and the Bronco ceiling for control. You were shaking all over, keening loudly, convinced someone in the parking lot must have heard you by now. You didn't even care. This orgasm was insanely good, and it kept going as you panted and squirmed.
Your breasts were damp to the night air, and you knew it had to be some combination of your milk and Bradley's saliva cooling on your skin as you shivered against his body. His arms were wrapped around you as you rocked slowly before finally coming to a stop.
"Feel good?" he asked between little kisses to your chest.
"Incredible," you moaned. "Holy shit, Roo."
"Yeah," he agreed breathlessly. "Me too."
You noticed he wasn't as hard now, and you took his chin in your palm, guiding his gaze to meet yours. "Did you cum?"
"In my jeans," he confirmed with a nod. "I can't handle how fucking perfect you are." You felt powerful as you stroked his cheek with your thumb. "You literally made me cum in my pants, Sweetheart."
You gave him a soft kiss. "And you didn't even break the center console."

BG is definitely struggling a little bit with her postpartum body. Roo is struggling in a different way. There's a lot on the horizon, including angst, but if there's something you'd love to read about this family, let me know! Thanks @beyondthesefourwalls

I have the largest hyper fixation on Floyd right now. Funny little troll being way too cute for it to be legal.
do you think you could write a story where a male / Non-binary reader that's like, a large person thing, (You can make them part animal if possible, I like the idea of Floyd hiding in the readers fur for comfort.) is reunited with Floyd after he was stick in the diamond perfume bottle for 2 months. And they just give Floyd a bunch of comfort cuddles and other stuff.
Take all the time you need to rest and drink water, if you can't do my request, that's perfectly fine. I hope you have an amazing day / night!
-A non-binary bee 🐝
@!; Floyd with a part-animal Reader! Floyd / Half-animal! Half-Troll! Reader
"Summary"! Couldn't tell if you meant big like tall or big like cubby... so why not both? :D Anyways, there are more headcanon style with little stories in it. Dunno when I'll post this (I have like 5 other stories backed up b/c my mind can't decide what to write); But I hope you like it Bee! Tags! Floyd literally being everything, no pronouns mentioned so feel free to use your own, hurt-comfort, NOT PROOF READ... also wrote in one sitting... in one day. AND TUMBLR KEPT GLITCHING ON ME AND THE PITCTURE BORDER ISN'T WORKING ON DESKTOP-. anyways please enjoy <3
@!; Floyd has known you since his band days, which was a shock to his brothers when they finally met you. Not only are you taller than an average troll (a foot or so) yet you're also different; and mostly in a good way, but take what you will about the fact that Branch noticed your differences first. When Floyd first met you, it was 2 months into his boyband career with Brozone. He went out on a walk to clear his head before a big show, anxious feels were never good to go on stage with and his brothers didn't help much. Mostly John Dory, who kept speaking about his "perfect" plan to the show. Just thinking about messing up anything made Floyd more nervous than preforming, he really didn't want to let his brothers down; as he's seen them preform before he was able to join on the scene. So while JD ranted, Spruce worked out, and Clay was fitting into his costume, Floyd went out on a needed walk. That's when he found you;
You were stood up top a mountain cliff near the Pop troll village, looking down with your majestic eyes and ears relaxed down by your side. Floyd stood by the village though hid in the shade of the plants nearby to watch. He didn't want to scare you off, especially since he's never seen anything quite like you. You seemed memorized by the lights of the Pop troll village, if not maybe a little intoxicated by them; like a moth to the flame. Floyd was memorized by your shiny coat, which he could barely see against the night sky and the bright colors of the village. You didn't seem to notice him at all as you laid down at that cliff, crossing your paws and laying your muzzle down on them. Floyd wasn't sure why but watching you watching the lights of the village calmed his nerves. Even though it was still a little nerve racking thinking that an animal so big knows were the village was; an animal who could possibly eat Trolls. Yet, that thought was quickly wavering out of his mind the more passive you seemed. @!; Floyd almost missed the show that night, Spruce had to go find him before JD blew a fuse. He was questioned like hell the few seconds before the show and then afterwards, yet he couldn't exactly tell his brothers that he saw an animal watching the village and that's what he was doing. They would be both over worried and a little relentless in scolding him for getting so close to something that could eat trolls. His absence of an answer, and his general dodging of the brothers questions (when that was so not like Floyd) led them all to assume that Floyd met a Troll that had caught his eye. Floyd tried to protest against this, yet was a little flustered at the fact that all his brothers seemed to jump on that conclusion train so quickly. So, that only solidified his brother's theories more and thus began the hunt. All his brothers kept an extra eye on Floyd, trying to see who the lucky Troll had been who caught there ever so sensitive brother's eyes. Despite all their "sneaky" tracking and slight stalking, they came up with nothing. Floyd was determined to let them not know what, or maybe who, he actually saw that night. So he didn't see you again until his brothers gave up on their little hunt and let Floyd to his own devices. Especially after he almost messed up a show due to nerves from not being able to go out on a walk without his brother's bombardment; JD wasn't happy. 3 months after first seeing you, Floyd was able to catch a glimpse of you again. Before a show, he looked out the window (not needing to go out on a walk that night) and saw your figure again in the distance on the same hill. You were relaxed again, laying down and looking intently towards the Village. In some weird sense, Floyd had a funny thought that you were here to listen to the concert; seeing as he didn't see you on any other night than concert nights. Yet, he shook that thought out of his head really quick, not thinking that you could like Brozone music. Not that it was because you weren't a Troll, but because he thought it was too loud for your ears; he's read somewhere that animal ears tended to be more sensitive than Troll ears. But then why would you be so close to the Village? The thought stuck in Floyd's mind all throughout the performance and when he checked if you were still at the cliff after the show, you were gone. He couldn't tell if it was because of the noise or because the show had ended; but he felt a little disheartened.
@!; Floyd would play this one-sided game of eye-spy for months before he spotted a night when you weren't you. He had began to make it a habit to leave you a little plate of food (well little for you) before every Brozone performance. His personal thank you for watching the show despite your (maybe) sensitives ears. He was going to go place the plate of food at the top of the cliff when he stopped midway through his hike to see a Troll standing at the top of the cliff. At least, it looked like a Troll? Yet they seemed taller, even more so when Floyd slowly approached closer. Your hair also was more abundant than other Trolls, even for adults. He was cautious as he approached you, keeping the plate of food close to him as he tried to scope out who you were before he interacted. Yet before he could figure out who you were, you snapped your head around to stare into the dead of night . . . directly at him. Floyd froze, not sure if you could see him or not and not wanting to find out. Though it was light you weren't even a Troll for a second, taking in a sniff before your hair stood up for a moment; prickling like a cat's hair standing up when frightened. Slowly you approached him with heavy footsteps, your height slowly growing in the moonlight as your shadow was drawn out. For a moment Floyd thought he was as good as dead. He didn't know what to do! Frazzled, he quickly shoved out the plate of food he had indented for his friend and not this stranger about to commit (possible) cannibalism. And that's when he heard your footsteps come to a stop and a heavy huff from someone's nose hit the top of his head, causing him to cautiously open one eye. And he felt like fainting as soon as he did that. Though he couldn't help opening both eyes in complete terror seeing a Troll tower over him in an unnatural height. Your eyes pierced down at him, their glow in the moonlight somehow familiar yet Floyd could not piece it together at this moment of panic. "Please don't eat me!" Floyd blurted out, the only thing between him and you being a plate of food. Yet you didn't answer, at least not right away. Your silence was as terrifying as your glare and staggering height. "I promise you I don't taste good!-" The words fell out before Floyd had even realized he had said them, watching with terror as you leant down. He wasn't sure what you were doing, but he hoped it wasn't serving your next meal's horror before deciding whether or not you should eat him. Yet there was something in your eyes that softened, a small smile that seemed to creep onto your lips. And for once after meeting you in this form, Floyd felt like he wasn't going to get mauled. Which was a good thing, a really good thing... For him at least. "So you're the one who's been leaving me food!" Your voice was not at all how he imagined it, as it seemed to carry some sort of friendliness he's not even heard from some Trolls. It was also a bit rougher, your English oddly unperfected for a Troll for the age Floyd guessed you were. "I-.. uh, what?" Though what did you mean Floyd was leaving you food? Maybe you were confusing him for someone else, or maybe you were eating the food he intended for his friend. Either way he tried to clear the confusion, "I'm sorry no, I don't think so. I've been leaving food here for.." "Yes, for me." You interrupted Floyd before he could finish, giving him a rather big grin. Yet, no matter how friendly you seemed, your words caused him to become that more confuddled. Even more so when you held out your hands flat, as though you were expected Floyd to just hand you the plate ... really incorrectly. He thought for a brief moment that you may be related to the animal that perches itself at the cliffside, though he didn't think too long on that possibility; as would it even be possible?
Either way, to save some trouble for now, Floyd carefully handed you the plate of food; watching as you held it from the bottom flat in your hands and grinned brighter before rushing off to the side of the cliff. He wasn't sure if he should follow you or not. "Come, friend! We eat to show!" You gestured for Floyd to follow as you sat at the iconic cliff he's seen the animal so many times. And despite his hesitation, and his logicality telling him not to, he deiced to join the Troll. I mean, what could be the harm? Floyd almost missed his performance that day. JD wasn't happy yet, oddly enough, something inside Floyd made him rather indifferent. Not uncaring, because he always cared about his brothers feelings and letting down JD was last on his list; yet, he didn't care as much as he should have. And that caught him by suprise. He wondered if it had to do something with you...
@!; The day the band broke up, Floyd went to seek you first. You two had grown close after the countless nights you spent upon the cliff, chatting and eating. Floyd just couldn't stand being able to leave without giving you a proper goodbye, you have been his closest friend outside his family after all. He found you lower on the cliff this day, still stalking in your animal form. Your ears were completely pinned back, and he was sure you had saw what had happened during that performance; it was the biggest disaster storm ever. "Hey! H-" Floyd didn't even have to call you twice before you perked up, snapping your attention over to him. He grew sheepish seeing your sudden smile, and he could only guess you had been utterly worried about him since the performance. Though he didn't expect you to be so worried you would bound towards him on all fours, causing him to yelp and quickly brace for impact. Yet, you never hit, and Floyd heard as you skidded yourself to a stop right in front of him and plopped down on your bottom. Letting out an excited yelp before licking him once, then twice. Causing him to laugh and try to push your snout away, a silent signal for you to turn back into a Troll. Which you didn't seem to get the hint for instantly, as you licked him thrice before standing up and twirling in a circle. Laughing, Floyd covered his eyes and let you turn back, opening them only when he heard your voice again; "Floyd! What in the hell happened out there?! One minute you guys were doing fine and it seemed like-" Your voice was as lovely as ever, and Floyd instantly felt a pang in his heart knowing he wouldn't be able to hear it as often anymore. His face became rather gloomy at that sudden realization he hadn't thought of before now. Maybe visiting you wasn't- no, he can't think like that! You deserved the truth as much as Branch did. He can't simply walk off and keep you sitting here, watching and wondering where he had gone for years on end. That wasn't right. "(y/n)!" Floyd jolted at the suddenness of his voice, and how firm it sounded. He didn't mean for his words to come out so harsh, though your ranting didn't do much to help his heart... or the decision he knew he had to make. Oh and your eyes, the way they shone in the moonlight. Floyd could see how startled he had made you, as he's never used such a voice with you; yet it had done the job and hushed you up, even for now. "I'm sorry.. I didn't mean to scare you. I just-" Floyd's lip twitched as he thought for the easiest way to blow this to you. The easiest way to let you down after all the nights you had spent together. The easiest way for him to accept everything that was happening and everything he had to do and everything that needed to be done.. but oh poor Branch and poor you, neither of you deserved this- "Floyd.. it's okay." Floyd was brought back to his thoughts, snapped back with the feeling of your hands grabbing his and your voice echoing in his ears. He opened his seized eyes and glanced up at yours; you were leaning down again, and Floyd laughed through the tears he didn't realize were spilling down. "You're doing it again.." Floyd mumbled, his voice wobbly. Your hands raced to his cheeks, cupping them and undoubtably feeling the hot, wet tears streaming down as you began to clear them. Floyd dropped his hands to his sides, they felt all to heavy right now. "No you're doing it again." Your voice was uncharacteristically steady, none if it's usual fluctuating like a dog excited to see it's owner. "You're overthinking and... and thinking of everyone else before you think about yourself! Floyd, whatever you're going to say to me, whatever you're keeping in that mind of yourself, you're going to tell me now, okay? And you're going to tell me and you're not going to worry about how I feel and you're going to be firm on your decision... because you're strong and we're friends and I won't be mad with you no matter what you tell me."
@!; That night, Floyd knew, for sure, that he was in love with you. And that made telling you all that harder as his heart yelled at his brain to stay, but his brain knew that they couldn't go back on their choice. He had to leave, even if for a week or month or year. He knew he needed space from the Village and everyone inside.. but not you and Branch. Defiantly not you. And oh the broken look in your eyes got him, but the way you tried to smile through it and agree that the space is what he needed made him fall even more in love. You were so strong, you kept to your word... Maybe Floyd could stay one more night. And he did, he cuddled up with you for his last night in the Village; you both watched the stars, all cozied up in your hair. And god, has Floyd never felt a Troll's' hair so soft. He almost couldn't pull himself out from it in the morning when you were still clinging onto him, trapping him with both your body and your hair. He felt tempted to doze back to sleep, yet knew he had to leave now (while he still had the will power) then wait before you woke up. He knew if he saw your broken look again, that look in your eyes that you could never hide, he couldn't bring himself to leave. So when you woke up in the morning, you found yourself alone; completely alone in a middle of your blanket made of your hair. Floyd had left before you had woke up and you would find yourself sulking in that position for longer than you would have thought.
@!; You didn't see Floyd again, yet you heard from him up till a few years into his exploration of the unknown; journeying to find himself in the chaotic world beyond the village. You didn't leave from the outskirts of the Pop village, as that's were you had figured out you could thrive the most without interacting with other Trolls or animals. So when Floyd's letters began to run dry, you knew it wasn't because he didn't know where to send it. No that's never been a problem before, especially with the bugs that were used to deliver the messages so they never went through Troll post. You had first thought that he had forgotten to write a letter that day and he would send you one tomorrow. He didn't. You then figured he was just somewhere where he couldn't right or get a bug to deliver the letter. But after a month of sitting and waiting anxiously, you figured that couldn't be the reason either. Floyd never stayed in a place for this long, and the letter he had sent you last made it sound like he was going to a place where he could continue to send letters. Another option came to mind, what if Floyd had just stopped sending letter because he just grew tired of you? He found someone else who captured his attention better than you did! Who could write in pretty cursive and spell words and speak correctly. Who could bake for him pies and cupcakes, who could sing and dance with him in the proper way that a Troll could. That was the first day you ever felt truly alone ever since Floyd left. Sure, you missed him dearly; Missed his smile and his caring ways and his company but never did you ever feel truly lonely. The type of lonely that made you upset and aggravated. The type of lonely that stung more than a throne in your paw, or a bee sting. The type of lonely that made you think back on all the memories you had with Floyd and made you think two different thoughts all at once: What was the point? Can I get those times back? It was torture. Two months of agonizing torture that ate you up inside with no remorse.
@!; Two months inside that horrible diamond prison, Floyd was finally free. Sure he had some white in his hair now, and felt fatigue come onto him easier when singing, but he was free; Free and with his brothers heading back to the Pop Troll village where Brozone (kind of reestablished) was going to chill for a minute before maybe going back their separate ways. "Oh my god, did we ever tell you that Floyd use to have a crush in the village when he was younger?!" JD turned around from the console of his caterpillar-like trailer, a snicker plastered right across his face. His comment instantly flipped the attention of everyone else, who had been lounging around the 'living space' of the trailer and chatting about nothing exciting. At least, nothing exciting to John Dory. "Oh! I almost forgot about that!" Bruce started as Branch looked between his brothers, noticing as Floyd let out a small groan and covered his face. "Oh not this gain..." Floyd mumbled, though not completely under his breath. "What?! JD you have to be joking right now!" Poppy jumped to a start, Viva seemed to be right beside her; jumping to her sister's side, placing her hands on Poppy's shoulders with such interest you would think JD had just brought up party plans. "Oh I'm so not joking." JD couldn't help but laugh, crossing his arms. "Floyd used to sneak off before the start of every show and see his little crush! It was so cute." And there was the teasing tone that Floyd could never forget. He hadn't hoped they didn't bring up this topic, but now he wished he had begged on his knees to anything above that his brothers had forgotten. "Oooh~ Floyd! Who was the lucky troll?" Viva questioned, mirroring her sister's excitement yet with a slight more mature feeling. "Well-" Floyd couldn't even begin before JD took over again. "We never got the chance to see them!" "Oh yeah, and we tried hard too. Stalked Floyd anytime he went out to see if we could find any sort of glimpse on who this Troll was. But we never found them." Clay informed, leaning back against the couch as an amused glint crossed his eyes; he glanced over to Floyd, who was still hiding his head. "Can we PLEASE change the topic?!" Floyd begged, but he guessed that his humiliation was much too entertaining to his brothers (mostly JD). "Nope! Never got the chance to see them. It was like- the biggest mystery in all of BroZone history." JD made this sound more ominous than it needed to be. More mysterious than a unclosed murder case that was more boggling than answerable. His serious tone didn't help it either. "Oh my god, Viva!-" Poppy turned to her sister, who held a knowing look. "To the clue board?" "To the clue board! Don't worry we'll find this troll." Poppy exploded like a star as Viva and her rushed over to the clue board that Branch had set up. They didn't waste time before they began to excitedly chat over possibly candidates and theories. Floyd felt more embarrassed than the day his brothers had started that whole mess, and he wasn't sure how that was even possible! Branch watched the two sisters for a moment before turning over to his brothers, thoroughly confused, "Wait... why did no one tell me this?!"
@!; Floyd wasn't sure how he would break this news to his brothers, but all he knew is that he needed to get to you first. He knew you just as you knew him, and he knew his disappearance would have a cause for concern... or maybe alarm or distress. Everything that Floyd didn't want you to feel when you thought about him because he should be your safe space and you had been his. "Guys! I'll be right back." Floyd shouted to his brothers when the caterpillar bus had came to a stop in front of the Pop village; And Floyd was sure he literally flew out the door with more force than necessary before he began to run down the village. "Bring them home for dinner!" Floyd could hear JD's sly remark before he was no longer in earshot of the van. Though he was sure he could hear something about "Kids growing up too fast" and some shared lighthearted laughter. Floyd couldn't care at the moment; not when all his brain buzzed about was finding you and making sure you were okay. What if you had gotten hurt during your time of no communication. What if you began to think that Floyd no longer cared for you or that something had happened to your or- Floyd's mind raced faster than he could keep up with and it felt like he was no longer racing against time yet against his own thoughts; not thinking about the fact that he had crossed the village in record time or that his brothers watched him rush straight into the woods by that cliff he had found a friend on and then love. That cliff where he had stargazed with you and shared thoughts he hadn't shared with anyone else. That cliff where you had showed him your way of life and let him closer than any other Troll had been with you. That cliff were everything happened in a secret silence that felt just right. That cliff were time seemed to stop. That cliff where he first found your eyes and saw your face last when he left. That cliff.. That cliff. That cliff!- Floyd was jolted away from the edge of the cliff, something he didn't realize he was just about to run off due to being lost in his emotion. A firm grip on the back of his pants had yanked him away, throwing him down onto the floor as now someone was between him and that cliff. "Are you crazy?! You were about to throw yourself off!-" Floyd didn't expect his baby brother's voice to shout at him and snap him out of his flurry of thoughts. He didn't expect Branch to be the one to stand there between him and the cliff. It was meant to be you. Not that he was meaning to throw himself off a cliff to find you, he would never put that type of trauma onto anyone or even think about such as thing. But you were meant to be here, meant to greet him on this cliff, meant to... where were you? Floyd didn't answer his brother as he scrambled onto his feet, numb from the running. He didn't care. He couldn't bring himself to care. He began to look around frantically, up and down the cliff, left and right. He rushed to some bushed and trees and tried looking more in depth as Branch stood there; never having seen his brother so disorientated and frazzled. "Floyd? Floyd!" Branch tried to get his brother's attention, "Floyd what are you looking for?" You. Where were you? Floyd didn't realize he didn't answer his brother; he had thought he had, but he didn't. He simply jumped off a rock and to the lower side of the cliff before he continued his search. Branch cautiously followed him, slowly lowering himself down from the rock and onto the ground. He watched Floyd look everywhere before Floyd jolted to a stop and stared in front of him. "(Y/N)!" It was a pained cry as Floyd rushed forward, pushing himself off of a tree to give himself a boost. "Floyd!" Branch yelled, following his brother in a panic. "Floyd you can't run into the forest around the village they're dangerous! Flo-" And Branch paused seeing who his brother approached. "Floyd!"
Floyd had no hesitation rushing over to an enormous beast that laid in the middle of a field, soaking in the sun. The beast had clear patches of its fur bitten off, and Branch couldn't tell whether it was self inflicted due to nerves or if it was from a fight. It perked its ears, then its head as it heard Floyd' shouting. It scanned the field and Branch felt himself rushing over to his brother. "FLOYD!" Branch's yell fell short as he saw the beast jump to its paws and rush over to his brother. Branch felt adrenaline rush through his body as he was sure he was about to watch his brother get eaten by a rapid animal. And Branch wasn't in range to catch the beast's muzzle with his hair, and Branch was sure that Floyd wouldn't attack it for whatever reason, and- wait... what? Branch kicked up dirt as he skidded to a stop, watching at the beast popped into an unusually tall Troll who grabbed Floyd in bear hug before spinning the two around. Branch watched with so much bewilderment that he questioned what JD had put in the drink he had given him. He had to be seeing things. That beast didn't just transform into a troll, right? Branch let out an airy bit of laughter as he watched the taller Troll trip on their own legs, causing the two of them to crash down and laugh loudly. Laugh like long lost lovers or crushes who had just found each other again, some sort of star-crossed lovers situation you would only find in books. Branch let out a small huff before carefully walking over to Floyd and you on the floor, laughing like maniacs. "What happened to you?!" Floyd reached up to cup your cheeks, worry rushing to his eyes as he noticed the bits of your hair that were fried and clearly chewed off. "No! No what happened to you?!" Sure, maybe you should have answered Floyd's question before asking one but you were too worried! This man disappears off the face of the planet for 2 months with no explanation then comes back like nothing ever happened?! You wouldn't stand for it, nor would you sit or lay for it either. Your hands rushed up to his, cupping over his hands which were cupping your cheeks. "I asked the question question first!" Quipped Floyd with a cheeky, beaming grin. Oh, how you've missed that grin so much. You could just squish his cheeks and kiss him at this moment. "I'll tell you what happened to me when you explain what happened to you." "Dea-" "How about you both explain what is happening?" Branch cut in, standing nearby with crossed arms and an amused smile. Floyd shot his head up, you simply turned to the side, to see that smile and oh- Floyd for a moment thought Branch was about to use this for some sort of blackmail against their brothers. "Branch!" Floyd sat up with a startle, having forgotten his brother had been here... and that he kind of saved Floyd from running off a cliff earlier. "Who are you?" Floyd heard you ask from under him and he knew he had a lot of explaining to do in that moment. But hey, if all he had to do was introduce you to his family, and hope they would accept you for your differences, then he would do that. He would do that and more to be able to be next to you, in your arms and in your reach. He would do anything to be able to keep you close. And next time he left the village, Floyd was not leaving without you.
@!; BONUS SNIPIT
"Wait, so you're telling me you got captured by some evil green-haired people who put you into a glass bottle made of diamonds and the only way you escapes is because your family made the 'perfect family harmony'?" You asked Floyd with a childlike wonder and a mature skepticism. You both were laying in Floyd's bed, inside his bod, as crickets chirped outside a sweet melody of the night. Floyd knew it sounded unbelievable but, "I'm telling you, this story is 100 percent real." Floyd couldn't help but keep in his laughter at your expressive wide eyes. Taking advantaged of your bewilderment of the situation, Floyd attacked you by snuggling closer; wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you closer, resting his head against your chest. He didn't have to look up at you to know you were cocking your eyebrow up in a questioning way, trying to think the logistics of the story over in your head. Yet you still wrapped your arms around Floyd's back, your hair stretching out to wrap the both of you in its fuzzy and cozy warmth. Floyd let out a deep sigh, you felt it against your chest; he missed these moments, and you did too. Moments that seemed to stand still, yet not in a boring way. In a way where Floyd got to soak up every second of being with you, and you got to soak up every second with him. Where you could feel like time was racing by, yet checked and it had only been a few minutes and you had more time to cuddle and just talk and be together than you had thought. Moments like these were the best feeling in the world. "I still don't believe you." You jokingly poke Floyd in the back, causing him to yelp and arch away from your pointy nail. You watched as he looked up at you with the most playfully challenging look; an eyebrow cocked upwards and his eyes glittering in the small light of the dimmed lamp. "Well it happened! I don't know what to tell you." He sassed back, rolling his eyes in a playful manner before he laid his head back against your chest. You tightened your arms around Floyd, which caused him to smile softly. No matter what happened, what had happened. Floyd was back now and neither of you were leaving each others side again; at least not now or in the near future unless it was forced.

You accidentally throw a monkey wrench into supermodel Leon's Calvin Klein photoshoot, but you can't sweet-talk your way out of this one. Kennedy's got your tongue and your panties in a bunch.
Better hope you've got a fix up your sleeve.
f / m, slight nsfw, you just thirst over leon + you're REALLY awkward, fluff + romance, stupid one-liner attempts at humor + hunnigan mention!! I GIVE MYSELF THE ICK.
word count: 913 // read on ao3
a/n: @chesue00 made this GODLY ART. and i RAN INTO PEOPLE in PUBLIC looking at it because it got me so dizzy. i don't know what to DO WITH MYSELF 😭
find more drabbles in my collection: sketches for my sweetheart the drunk!
You’d passed all your English classes in college, but right now? It’d be a hell of a lot more useful to have taken a few in sign language.
“What’s wrong with her?”
The camera crew’s never been able to perfect the art of the whisper.
“Did she lose her voice or something?”
You fumble with the reflectors for the millionth time, bright material projecting your flushed face to high heaven on all three of the cameras’ viewfinders.
There’s a really unfunny joke that starts like this: a photography intern walks into a bar.
Said bar happens to be supermodel Leon S. Kennedy’s back because you weren’t watching where you were going on the biggest day of your career, a Kennedy x Klein collab shoot starring the man you’d only been crushing on for, what, ever since you picked up your first fashion magazine? You’d left a sizeable smear of makeup on the pristine white of his T-shirt as a parting gift, and after that, you’d lost your ability to form words in shame. Mortifying, paralyzing shame.
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
And as if in agreement, Leon’s agent bristles on the break couch behind you.
He’s still in that stained shirt, by the way. Sipping thoughtfully from a bottle of water while his agent sounds off beside him, but the only thing on your mind is what you’d give to be on his drink’s business end. Condensation drips onto the coffee table when Leon sets it down, drop by tantalizing drop sliding down his fingers, ice melting in his palm that’s just big enough to grab a plush handful of your-
His agent tears through your daydream, madder than a wet hen. ”There’s no time to order an exact replacement!”
“It’s just a shirt,” Leon chuckles, and you hear rolling thunder on the horizon. You’ve got it bad.
“It very clearly states in the Kennedy x Klein contract that we need a picture of you in a white T-shirt.”
“A tiny bit of lip gloss-”
“An obvious stain!” the spectacled woman squawks.
“Stain, whatever – just stop freaking that poor girl out, yeah?”
Your ears perk up rabbit-style.
“Look at her, Ingrid,” Leon continues, and every cell of your body lights on fire because he has to be training his gunmetal eyes on right on you. “Poor thing hasn’t said a word since you started going off about that tiny mark. Turn around, sweetheart, just a moment.”
Who put your feet on a turntable?
“See? Eyes bigger than the goddamn moon.”
And you just might faint, too. But you’ve got to fix this before you do.
“Uhm, we…we could…” he nods when you stutter, patient as a saint, he’d talk you through it for sure, “take…the shirt…off?”
A tilt of his handsome head. “Come again?”
You need to put your money where your mouth is. Even if the latter’s on strike right now. Pointing your chin back towards the set, you jerk your head for him to follow. Leon’s agent pinches the bridge of her nose, mumbling something about leaps of faith from chandeliers and not again, but the man in the stained shirt couldn’t seem to care less. His eyes gleam.
“Hands-on, then.” Leon cracks a grin, rising to his feet. “I’m all yours.”
Leon is desire painted monochrome.
You nearly throw yourself over the table at the back of the shoot the minute Leon pops up on your monitor. The printer spits out picture after picture that couldn’t be safe for work in your wildest dreams, but here you are, getting paid to take softcore of Calvin Klein’s newest poster boy, and your jaw is about to make friends with the floor.
You didn’t know eyes could talk before Leon Kennedy.
In one shot, he’s gazing at you from the glossed page, bedroom blues sizing you up. He’s daring you. Drag your eyes down the page. Go on.
And oh, if the the journey doesn’t reveal the ridged muscles lining Leon’s stomach as he reaches to shuck the shirt off his shoulders. The stain is a forgotten memory replaced by a new one burned into your brain for the rest of eternity, and you’re not the talking about the cologne. You’re staring at the patterned Calvin Klein waistband of his boxers. Slung dangerously low over his hips, begging to be relieved of their duty, so close you could pull them off with your teeth.
“Any closer and you’re gonna lick the page, doll.”
And mess up his pretty face? You wouldn’t dream of it.
Leon laughs when you go ramrod straight. “Seriously. You did amazing with that shirt-pulling save,” he says. “I know it’s a little intimidating to work with Ingrid and my team, but you handled it like a champ.”
He tugs the photo out from under your fingers, uncapping a nearby pen to scribble something onto its backside. His tongue pokes out when he writes. He’s the cutest Adonis you’ve ever seen when he hands it back. “I knew you could,” he adds.
And then all too soon, just as your own tongue regains feeling, Leon leaves amidst the flurry of post-production. Leaves is the polite way to put it; his agent practically hauls him out by the collar by the time you muster up the courage to wave goodbye.
Really? After everything’s all done?
Well, almost. You flip the photo to read his note.
Pretty eyes, pretty mouth too. Put that second one to use next time? :)
They do say practice makes perfect.

Joey B Blurbs: Girls Night
————————————————————————-
Summary: girls' night out with a couple of the other WAGs and you wear something that you'd usually never wear out. It was only ever worn in the confines of your and Joe’s bedroom just for him. He wasn't home when you left, but he sure was there when you got back.
(Part one to - Part 2)
Warnings: illusions to smut, jealous Joe
Pairing: Joe Burrow x reader
————————————————————————-
*Off-season before the 2023-2024 season.*
(y/n’s pov)
“Wait so does Joe even know that you’re here, or did you tell him?” - Tianna
Today the other WAGs and I went out for some drinks as a way to have a big meet-up before our lives solely revolve around our men and football.
It was also a great way to include the girlfriends, fiances, and wives of players in their first season with the team.
After that was over me and Tianna decided to get drinks before heading home.
Tianna Robillard, new Bengals player Cody Ford’s girlfriend is one of the most recent women added to the crazy bunch of amazing women with Bengal boys.
Tianna was so sweet and emitted such great vibes.
“He knows I'm here yeah. He just wasn't there when I left… and doesn't know I'm wearing this little number.” - you
Tia looked over my body to take in the black lace bodysuit with black high-waisted bootie shorts.
“Emphasis on the little. You look really good though, it's super cute. Actually, mind sending me the link?” - Tianna
“Of course!” - you laughed
“Joe doesn't strike me as the type of guy to tell you what you can and can't wear.” - Tianna
“He isn't… but this one’s kinda special to him. He's the only person that's ever seen me in it and it's his favorite outfit that I own.” - you
“I'm sure there isn't anything to worry about, it's not like you're with some other guy while wearing it.” - Tianna
“Yeah, you're right…” - you
“Just chill. It'll be fine. Let's have some fun tonight, starting with me getting another drink...” - Tianna
I laughed at the moment and followed her to the bar, on our way there some whistles were sounded out and directed towards me. Turning around to see who the origin was I found myself asking are they even 21?
Flashing my bright, shiny, big, expensive diamond engagement ring, I was met with a few annoyed groans and one shrug.
“I love it when you do that.” - Tianna laughed
“I love doing it myself. I love Joe with my entire being, it feels nice to show it.” - you
She gave me a warm smile before we grabbed more drinks.
The rest of the night was filled with laughter, stories, and getting to know each other a lot more.
It was thirty minutes till midnight when Tianna dropped me back off at home. I was expecting Joe to be asleep, so when I walked into the house with my heels in hand and he was sitting on the couch I was confused.
“What are you doing up?” - you smiled
“Waiting for you. I didn't know what shape you were in and wanted to make sure you got home and to sleep okay.” - Joe
“Thanks, babe.” - you
“No problem…” - Joe
He leaned back, stretching his back and long arms with a big yawn as I made my way into the kitchen.
I placed my purse and heels on the kitchen counter before shrugging my light jacket off.
“Hey can you throw me a bottle of water please?” - Joe
“Sure. Catch!” - you
Joe sat up and turned around in the direction towards the kitchen and put his hands up to catch the bottle.
As it left my hand and I chucked it, my outfit registered in Joe’s mind, instead of the bottle hitting Joe’s hands it hit him smack in the forehead.
“Oww!” - Joe grabbed his head
“Joe!” - you
I ran out of the kitchen and into the living room to where Joe was on the couch.
His face was scrunched up in pain as he held his forehead.
“I'm sorry, baby. You zoned out on me when I threw it. I didn't mean to hit you…” - you
“Yeah, no shit.” - Joe grumbled
His tone made me mentally wince and I backed away from him slightly. Joe immediately noticed the change of my body language and how the room felt more tense.
I sighed as I stood up, grabbed my stuff, and walked upstairs to our bedroom.
Not long after I changed into a pair of sweatpants and a T-shirt, Joe went to open the door. I heard him cuss under his breath when he realized it was locked.
“Hey, baby? Can you open the door for me… please?” - Joe
His tone seemed slightly pleading, hoping he hadn't messed up too severely. Joe knew I hated it when someone was mad at me, and that I was a raging people-pleaser, so when someone acted slightly mad at me I shut down.
I slowly opened the door and Joe looked down at me with an apologetic look on face.
“Look… I didn't mean to come off like that. I know you didn't mean to hit me, it was my damn fault for zoning out and not catching it.” - Joe
I stared up at him as I chewed on my lower lip, Joe had worry written on his face hoping I wasn't mad at him.
“I'm sorry…” - Joe
“It's okay, I guess.” - you mumbled
“It's not okay, don't lie. I need to learn to stop being such a dick sometimes.” - Joe
“You’re not a dick, Joey… I love you.” - you
Joe smiled slightly as he pulled me into a hug. His body was warm and his big hands running over my back caused goosebumps.
“I love you too, baby.” - Joe kissed your temple
“Can I ask you something?” - you pulled back and studied his expression
“Of course.” - Joe kissed your cheek
“What gave you the deer in headlights look before I threw the water?” - you
Joe chuckled as he pulled me into his chest, his arm looped around my waist to hold me into him tighter.
He pressed his lips just under my ear and his deep voice whispered into it.
“That black lace on you. You know it's my favorite.” - Joe
“Mmm… you know I love wearing it for you.” - you
“Did you change in the garage or something before walking in then?” - Joe smirked
“No…” - you nervously chuckled
“Oh, so you had something over top of it and took it off to surprise me?” - Joe
“No…” - you
My heart rate shot up when Joe cocked his head to the side and furrowed his brows at me, please don't get mad.
“You wore that out tonight?” - Joe
“Mhm… is there a problem with that?” - You
“No ma'am. I know you're mine, it's just that not every guy in Cincinnati knows that.” - Joe
“Don’t get jealous Joe. I got catcalled once and flashed this pretty ring in the prepubescent-looking guy’s face.” - you
I laid my left hand on Joe’s chest to point out the engagement ring on my ring finger, to which Joe smirked.
“So you did get hit on?” - Joe
“I can't control that, Joe.” - you sighed
“Oh, I know you can't. I’m fully aware of how fucking gorgeous my girl is. Right now I'm just feeling like I need to show you who you wear that shit for.” - Joe
All at once every pulse point in my body set off. God, he hasn't even done anything yet and I'm already turned on.
“Who do I wear it for?” - you
“Me and me only. You understand?” - Joe
“Maybe, but I think you should really drive the point home.” - you smirked
Joe’s big hands grabbed and squeezed at my hips immediately understanding what I was insinuating.
“Be a good girl and go put it back on for me. I'll be waiting out here.” - Joe
“Yes, sir.” - you grinned and bit your lower lip
His hands pulled me flush against him and his lips were rough on mine. Joe’s tongue was gently pushing against my lower lip, asking for entrance. When I parted my lips, his tongue was tangling with mine.
“Joey” - you moaned into the kiss
That's when he pulled away and with a harsh smack on my ass, he grinned down at me.
“Don’t keep me waiting too long.” - Joe
“Of course.” - you grinned and walked into the closet before pulling it out of the dirty clothes hamper.
Joe was going to show me exactly who’s I was.

To Be Another Notch... (Chapter Two)
Pairing: Leighton Murray x Reader
Warnings: sick reader, reference to the chapter 1 smut
Word Count: 1100, Part 2/?
Part 1
Just a little follow up to "To Be Another Notch in Your Bedpost." Might keep it going, might not. I don't really have any specific ideas for where this one could go, though!
Also, Anonymous Asked: All I can think about now is like what if Leighton x reader are snowed in at Essex and the reader is deliriously ill and Leighton goes into protector mode and her roommates don’t know how to react since they’ve never seen this side of her with anyone before
I don't know if I did a super excellent job addressing this ask but I hope y'all like it! I'm in a bit of a writer's block rn so I'm doing me best. <3
Reader wakes up very sick and Leighton takes care of her. (Reader is explicitly she/her in this one).
You had slept over with Leighton after your night together. You awoke, bundled warmly in her deluxe comforter.
Well, technically, you didn’t wake up of your own accord. Leighton jostled you in an attempt to wake you and it wasn’t until she had to begin shouting your name that you actually came to. And furthermore, you weren’t exactly comfortably warm. You felt freezing cold but your skin was covered in sweat and you were approaching a fever of 102 degrees Fahrenheit.
To make matters even worse, Essex had been the victim of a massive snowstorm overnight. Leighton had only been trying to gently wake you to let you know that classes had been canceled and you were welcome to stay, but then she felt how your skin was burning.
You opened your eyes blearily and were met with Leighton’s panicked expression and the back of her hand pressed against your forehead.
“Oh my god, you’re burning up.”
“What? Like the Jonas Brothers?”
“Jesus Christ, no! Not like the Jonas Brothers! You have a fever.”
“Ohhh… that makes more sense.” You coughed painfully and Leighton quickly handed you a bottle of water from her mini fridge.
“I will be right back, Stay. Here.” Leighton ordered before rushing out of the room.
You let your head collapse into the pillow and you were asleep again before you even knew it. An unknown amount of time later, Leighton came back into the room wearing a N95 mask, which she removed once the door was closed. Her arms were full of cold and flu supplies that she certainly could not have gone out and purchased due to the storm.
Leighton sat everything down next to the bed and started going through the pile, setting a fresh box of tissues with lotion next to you along with a bottle of electrolyte drink. Then, she sifted through the variety of medications and ultimately decided that just some straight up tylenol and cough medicine would be best.
Leighton was waking you up again and she helped you sit up while you took the medicines and drank a bunch of the electrolyte solution.
“Kimberly’s mom sent her all of this medicine and first aid stuff, it was honestly really impressive. My mom just sent me a Louis Vuitton weekender bag.”
You chuckled lightly, even though it hurt a little to do so, then spoke in a scratchy voice, “both things have their uses.”
Leighton felt your forehead again and then made you lie back down, “I’m quarantining you in here for now, at least until the storm clears. I’ll take care of you here.”
“You’re gonna get sick…” you pointed out.
“Then, you’ll take care of me.”
You furrowed your brows, “well, of course I will, but are you sure? I can just go home,” you made an attempt to sit up but Leighton pushed you right back down.
“Absolutely not. You’re in no state to walk across campus even if it wasn’t a blizzard outside. You’re staying here. End of discussion.”
“But I don’t-”
“Shut up, would you? You’re making me tired just looking at you,” she teased.
Leighton surprised you, then. She was no longer feeling the fever on your forehead for sheer monitoring purposes, but just softly caressing her thumb over your skin and wiping your sweaty hair aside as she did so. It was comforting.
You smiled, “you’re really sweet, thank you.”
Leighton leaned down and kissed your forehead gently and stayed by your side until you were too tired to keep your eyes open any longer and you fell asleep again.
Leighton put her mask back on to protect her roommates from your germs as best as she could then went out into the main area of the suite to let you sleep in peace.
Leighton sat down on the plaid couch in their common room and exhaled a deep breath. She had never really seen herself as a caretaker type, but for some reason, it had come naturally to her when she saw how sick you were.
Bela decided to go hang out in Jocelyn’s room to gossip the snow day away (with the help of cinnamon whiskey and apple cider… but mostly cinnamon whiskey), while Kimberly and Whitney hunkered down in their room.
Leighton scrolled mindlessly through her phone when Whitney came out to grab some food from the shared fridge.
“How’s your guest doing?” Whitney asked.
“Okay, I think.” Leighton answered simply.
“Is this someone we’ve met before?”
“No,” Leighton said, “she’s new as of last night…”
“Wow. You must be really into her, then.”
“Why do you say that?”
“Well, you let her sleep over and now you’re taking care of her while she’s sick? The Leighton Murray of a few weeks ago would never, storm or no storm…” Whitney smiled at the blonde and sat down on the couch opposite her.
Leighton’s cheeks flushed, “I don’t know… she’s cute. Really cute. And being around her has been really easy so far. Plus…”
Whitney raised an eyebrow, “plus…?”
Leighton rolled her eyes and then lowered her voice to a near-whisper, “Plus… she made me come like four times last night… maybe more. I honestly lost count.”
“Oh. My. God.”
“I know.”
“That’s just not fair.”
Leighton smirked and shrugged.
“So you’re taking care of her because the sex was amazing?” Whitney clarified.
“No, not just that. Maybe I do really like her. But like…” Leighton groaned, “I’m so fucking stressed about Tatum and Alicia still… Do I really want to jump right into another relationship?”
Now, Whitney shrugged, “do what makes your heart happy, Leight. If you like her, I say go for it. You never know when someone might be your person.”
Leighton looked over her shoulder at her bedroom door, “huh… yeah, maybe you’re right. I’m gonna go check on her.”
Leighton stood up and Whitney smiled, “I also think you should do whatever you can to bring this nurturing side of you out more often. It’s nice.”
Leighton flashed a glare in Whitney’s direction, “yeah yeah, whatever.”
The blonde slipped back into her room and took a moment to watch you before she climbed into the bed beside you and draped her arm over you.
You were fast asleep and didn’t feel her join you in the bed, but you unconsciously shifted and hugged her arms close to you.
Snow continued to drench the campus and it seemed to muffle all sound.
Leighton fell asleep holding you, lulled only by the steady rise and fall of your breathing.

pairing: conrad fisher x fem!reader
summary: conrad comforts you after a fight with your mom
warnings: angst and family issues, but there’s fluff of course
the day started off good with everyone excited to celebrate one of susannah’s favorite holidays. susannah’s excitement filling the house as you and your childhood best friends joked around and laughed together as the day went on.
then conrad and jeremiah’s dad showed up which made it very awkward for everyone.
but it slowly became okay again when all of the teenagers went to hang out at the beach. drinking and playing a bunch of different games together.
you guys headed back to the house after a couple of hours and everything seemed alright until it came time to cut the cake.
belly had a little too much to drink and tripped and fell into susannah. breaking one of her dishes and completely destroying the cake.
as belly’s dad helped her into the house and laurel helped calm susannah, your mom turned to you. she immediately put the blame on you. blaming you for not watching belly and letting her get so messed up.
you tried defending yourself, but it was no use. she always expected you to watch over belly and jeremiah seeing as you were right under conrad and your sister.
she did this a lot. comparing you to your sister. your sister stayed with the adults whenever you guys went to the beach, so to your mom, it was automatically your fault. she yelled at you saying how if your sister were there, none of this would’ve happened.
she didn’t even let you get a word out before she stormed into the house slamming the door behind her.
that was how you ended up sitting by the water with tears streaming down your face.
unbeknownst to you, conrad had been looking for you for hours. asking everyone where you could’ve been and no one actually having any answers. he called and texted you multiple times, but got no response.
the last place he decided to check was the beach. he actually dreaded it seeing as there were gonna be multiple parties going on, but he did anyway. he had to make sure you were okay.
he had been walking the beach for almost thirty minutes when his eyes landed on a figure sitting by the water. he slowly approached you as he didn’t know if it was actually you.
“y/n ?” he asks. his heart drops when you turned toward him. “i’ve been looking all over for you. are you okay ?”
you look back toward the water as he sits beside you. “i’m fine.”
“y/n, you’re crying.” he says just as you wipe under your eyes, “what’s wrong ?”
it goes silent as you hesitate to answer. while on one hand you wanted to rant to conrad about what’s been going on with your mom and sister, you didn’t want to burden others with what you thought were petty sibling problems.
conrad watches you as he waits for you to speak up. he could tell by your facial expression that you were debating with yourself on whether or not you wanted to talk.
his eyes don’t leave you as you look up toward the water.
“my mom…” you pause. you sigh as you close your eyes, “it’s like i’m never good enough for her.”
conrad furrows his brows as you sniffle, “she’s always comparing me to my sister. anything i do, she does better. even today when belly tripped and fell into susannah, i was blamed for it when it had nothing to do with me.”
you didn’t know it, but conrad had gone through the same thing. his dad blaming him for not being responsible and stopping belly from drinking.
“but she would’ve stopped belly from drinking and the night would’ve went on fine.” you chuckle humorlessly, “i’m never good enough for her.”
it goes silent again as you take a deep breath. you hug your knees closer to your chest.
“if it means anything, i like you a lot more than i do her.” he says. you can’t help, but chuckle which brings a smile to his face, “i know it’s hard, but don’t listen to your mom. your sister isn’t all perfect like she thinks. no one is.”
“my mom thinks so.”
“i don’t.” he says shaking his head, “you’re amazing just as you are y/n/n.”
you look toward him to find his eyes already on you. as you look in eyes, you search for any sign of pity. it’s the look you usually get from others whenever they overhear your mom. but you couldn’t find any.
conrad was being genuine. which you never thought that he was anything but.
to you, no one ever truly cared or tried to understand how you felt. never feeling like you were doing enough for the people you loved. never feeling good enough.
but if anyone understood you, it was conrad.
“i get exactly how you feel. when you think you’re not good enough or when you feel like you should be doing more.” he nods, “trust me. i get it.”
your eyes search his face as he continues, “but you’re perfect to me. if your mom can’t see how amazing you are, then she doesn’t deserve to.”
your eyebrows pinch together as you take in what he says. a small smile takes over your features, “i thought you said no one was perfect ?”
he chuckles, “i did, but to me you are. you’re everything i think about when i think of perfect.”
your face softens as he looks at you. really looks at you.
“what does that mean, connie ?” you say softly
“exactly what i said.” he says, “you’re perfect.”
your heart skips as a comfortable silence falls over the two of you. conrad has always been someone significant in your life. ever since you were kids when you would play in the pool and steven would swim around pretending to be a shark and conrad would come save you.
when you were kids and he taught you how to surf since jeremiah and steven would make fun of you for not knowing how.
when summer would roll around and conrad was the first person who would hug you whenever you got out of the car.
conrad was always there.
he notices you lost in thought even as you stare directly at him. so, he takes the chance sitting right in front of him.
you blink rapidly as you notice conrad coming closer. he’s slow enough incase you decide otherwise, but you knew you wouldn’t.
your eyelashes flutter closed as he finally places his lips on yours. the kiss is soft, but the butterflies erupting in your stomach couldn’t be denied. your heart beats in your ears as he pulls away.
his eyes on your lips as he doesn’t go far. you look in his eyes and notice how they’ve changed.
admiration swarm through them as the two of you take in each other’s comfort. but he notices how quickly your mood diminishes.
“what’s wrong ?”
“i don’t want to go back yet.” you mumble
he smiles, “we don’t have to. i’ll stay here with you as long as you want me to.”
conrad’s smile seemed to be infectious as you begin to smile. you nod softly as you stare back at him.
you two stayed out there for hours. watching the waves crash as the stars came out.

The girl behind the bar : the date Part 2 - the bar
pairing: Jake Hangman Seresin x plus-size reader
warnings: self-conscious, a whole lot of flirting, semi-public dry-humping
words: 3.6k
Summary: After a rather rocky start to your date, Jake takes you to a bar that's more your cup of tea and the date finally started to take off...
a/n: I had a really good time writing this chapter and I hope you have as much fun reading it!
Link to my masterlist
“Okay, now we’re talking!”, you mentioned as you entered the bar Jake had brought you to. The bar had little tables all around the room, a long bar and even a little stage on the other end. It was well filled and the atmosphere reminded you a lot of the Hard Deck minus the nosy looks of your favorite group if you had gone there.
This place was already a hundred times better, you thought to yourself as you stood next to Jake, taking in the place.
“Look, there’s an empty table back there”, you told him over the music and pointed across the bar. He nodded and led the way through the crowd. He took your hand like it was no big deal and pulled you with him. You bit down on your bottom lip to hide your smile.
At your table, he pulled out a chair for you. “Such a gentleman”, you observed. “You sound surprised”, he commented. “Let’s just say, I don’t have a lot of prove”, you countered as he sat down at the table to your left.
Jake rolled the sleeves of his dress shirt up to his elbows and opened one more button at the top. You felt your mouth watering as you took in the sight.
“Come on, man”, you sighed and cocked your head to the side. “What?”, he asked confused. “I see what you’re doing there”, you told him and motioned at his collar and then his arms. His strong, tanned, beautiful arms.
“What? It’s hot in here. Don’t tell me you like that?”, he asked playfully innocent and held up his underarms, flexing a little. “Every woman that has a pulse likes that”, you retorted. With a smug smile, he interlocked his fingers and rested his elbows on the table, alternating flexing his left and right arm. “Stop it, you idiot”, you slapped his hands and got up.
“I’ll go get us some drinks. You want a beer?”, you asked. “Sure, one won’t hurt”, he replied. You grabbed your purse to get your credit card and Jake put a hand over yours. “Hey, take my card”, he said and held up his credit card. “No, you already got dinner. God knows that was expensive enough”, you told him with a tone in your voice that made him roll his eyes.
You chuckled at his facial expression, pulled your hand from his and walked over to the bar counter with your card in your hand.
“Can I get two beers, please? Thanks”, you placed your order and while you waited, looked over to Jake who was sitting at the little table, his eyes set on you.
You shot him, what you hoped was, a flirty smile and a wink which made his smile a little bigger and your stomach flutter. Damn, he looked good. You couldn’t believe that you were actually on a date with him. Out of all the women in this bar, and there were many, he looked at you. This sent another rush of tingles through your stomach. You needed to look away for a moment to regain some composure.
You let your eyes wander around the bar and noticed a bunch of women. Some of them already starting to notice Jake. He was a sight, that’s for sure.
“Here you go”, the bartender placed two beers in front of you. You handed over your credit card for a quick swipe through the machine and then walked back to your table.
For a second, you felt like there were several pairs of eyes on your back but you shook off the thought before you sat down.
“There you go”, you moved one beer over to him. You clinked with the necks of your bottles before you took a sip of the cold beverage. “Ah, that feels so good”, you said and closed your eyes for a second. Jake was right, it was warm in here. You pulled the sleeves of your dress up to your elbows and the elastics in the cuffs held them in place.
“I see what you’re doing”, Jake commented and nodded at your now bare lower arms. You were a bit confused for a second then you caught on. “Ha-ha”, you said dryly. “You like that? Huh?”, you held your arms up, playfully moving them in front of him. “Just wait ‘till you see my ankles. You’re gonna come in your pants”, you joked and made both of you laugh.
Only after the moment, you realized how much you both had needed that. The atmosphere between the two of you felt much lighter now and the real date could begin.
“You know, I’m not supposed to say this but I pretty much saved the day out there”, Jake said about his last mission. You weren’t sure if he was being cocky like he usually was or if he was being honest.
“And why are you telling me then?”, you asked and leaned forward, folding your arms on the table. Jake leaned forward as well, your faces close. “To impress you”, he said in a low voice, only for you to hear.
You looked into his eyes, searching for any hint of a joke but all you could see was the bright green of his irises. Did he really mean it? Was it important to him what you thought about him?
“Well, thank you for your service”, you said and clinked your bottle against his before you took a sip leaning back in your seat, kinda ruining the moment. Things got a little too intense for you for a moment.
“I don’t know about you but I’m kinda hungry”, you said and reached for the little laminated menu that was placed in the middle of the table. “We’ve just come from a five-course-meal”, Jake reminded you. “Those portions were a joke. Especially for that price”, you pulled a face and let your eyes wander over the list of food items. “Ooh, they have chicken wings. And chili-cheese fries”, you spotted some of your favorites.
“If you’re still hungry, why didn’t you say so at the restaurant. We could have ordered something else”, he suggested.
You cocked your head to the side and raised an eyebrow at him. “Are you serious? You don’t just order additional stuff to a five-course-meal, not at a place like that. They already looked at me weird. And also, if I could have, I would just have ordered the typical first-date salad but that probably would have just been one lettuce leaf with a stripe of mango on it at that place”, you told him and shook your head while thinking of that fancy restaurant.
“What is it with you and a salad on dates?”, he asked curiously. “Do you want the first-date-Y/N or not?”, you asked with a mix of a huff and a chuckle. “I want the real you”, he immediately answered.
“Look who can be romantic all of a sudden?”, you said approvingly and leaned forward again, resting your chin on your hand, your elbow on the table. “Looks like my little lesson paid off”, you added with a smirk.
“Yeah, looks like it”, he commented and leaned in a little as well. “I feel like that stormy night was more like our first date, anyway. So, could you relax a little?”, he asked.
“Our first date, huh? Who knew Lt. Seresin needed a natural disaster to get a girl to go on a date with him?”, you joked.
“Only for the important ones”, he answered without missing a beat and his sincere tone knocked you off your game.
“Also, call me Lt. Seresin more often, I like that”, he added. You felt his hand on your left knee where your dress had parted, slowly moving up, but not too far. The touch of his fingers on your bare skin made you swallow hard. You were never happier to have decided against the shorts.
“Then this was the last time you’re ever gonna hear it”, you countered a few moments after swallowing hard, trying to get back to your usual banter but you were a little bit distracted, to say the least. The smile on his face let you know that he knew what he was doing to you.
“Your thighs are doing something to me”, he said softly, almost whispering, after a few moments of silence and intense eye contact. His hand was moving up and down on your thigh, squeezing it softly.
"Yeah, probably crush you", you automatically commented. He shot you a look that let you know that he didn't like the way you talked about yourself and pulled his hand from your leg.
"Why do you always do that?", he asked. "What?", you asked innocently. "Always put yourself down when you get complimented", he said and his words hit a spot in you. You didn't think he would notice. You wanted to evade the question, present him with some lame excuse, but then you decided against it.
"It's kinda hard not to say stuff like that about yourself when it's all you've ever done", you explained and felt the embarrassment creep up your cheeks, making them burn. You looked down at your drink and pulled at the label on your bottle.
"I always try to say that stuff about me before someone else does even if I’m not always quick enough", you continued and shot him a quick glance before you looked down at your hands again, feeling Jake tense up next to you.
"I'm so sorry that happened. I still feel awful", he said and the expression on his face matched his words.
"I know. And you should. It hasn't been that long ago", you told him but your conciliable smile took the harshness out of your words.
"And I also know that at least 10 women in here already checked you out and can't believe that you're here with me", you told him.
“I don’t care about them. Like you said, I’m here with you and I don’t want to be anywhere else…with anyone else”, he declared. You felt his hand back on your thigh, his fingers giving it a little squeeze which made you swallow.
“You’re putting it on a little thick now, Seresin”, you diverted with humor again. This got a little too intense for you for a moment. Jake only chuckled at your words, knowing your tactics by now.
"I'm gonna go powder my nose real quick and be right back", you told him, pushing back your seat and walking over to the restrooms.
You had a quick pee and then checked your face in the mirror. Since it was a warm night, your face was a little shiny and you had some smeared mascara under your eyes. You took care of that with a paper towel and combed through your hair with your fingers, fluffing up the waves you had put in with the flat iron, or what was left of it.
When you came back out to the main bar area, you saw that a blonde woman was standing at your table, talking to Jake.
For a moment, your heart sank. You should have known that the women you had noticed staring before wouldn't see you as actual competition.
But then you thought about the evening you had spent with Jake so far, all the flirting and touching and what he had said right before you went to the restroom. You thought back to how he had asked you out for this date and it put a smile on your face.
You straightened your back and walked over to your table. When you came closer, you heard the woman laughing. She threw her hair over her shoulder. Jake's eyes found you behind her and, you wouldn't believe it if you wouldn't see it just now, his whole face lit up. A flutter ran through your stomach.
You just walked past the woman, took Jake's face in your hands and kissed him. Jake was startled but only for a second. You pulled back after a few moments, still holding his face in your hands.
"Dance with me, Seresin", you said. You felt the nod more than you saw it, his eyes looking at you in awe and then a cheeky smile forming on his face. You stood up straight and grabbed his hand.
"Excuse me", you said to the woman who was standing in your way, in more than one way, having her take a step to the side so you could walk towards the dancefloor area, Jake right behind you.
A few people were already dancing and you walked right in the middle of the space. It was a semi-slow song at the moment.
You put your arms around Jake's neck and he placed his hands on your hips, starting to sway from side to side. You swung your hips a little more than necessary, pressing into his hands, one at a time. His grip got a little tighter and he pulled you closer.
"Sorry for the impromptu kiss just now. I had to mark my territory", you told him with a shrug of your shoulders and a nonchalant tone in your voice.
"Okay, first of all, never apologize for kissing me. And second of all, I'm territory now?", he asked and raised one eyebrow but the tone in his voice let you know that he wasn't mad about that word.
"I was just annoyed that she just came over and flirted with you while we're clearly on a date. All of these women were ogling you all night", you explained to him and rolled your eyes in annoyance.
"Well, if the kiss wasn't clear enough, they will know now. Wanna give ‘em a little show?", he asked, but before you could answer him, he grabbed your hand and spun you out in front of him and pulled you back in. You landed with your back to his chest.
He grabbed both of your hands and put them on your hips, his hands over yours. Your hips moved together, the two of you being in your own world. You made sure to press your butt against his front, just for good measure.
You pulled your hands from his, letting them move up your body. You placed one hand on his neck and the other over one of his hands on your hips.
Jake made you feel sexy like no one ever has managed to before. Never in your wildest dreams would you have thought to dance so sexy in front of other people but he managed to make you forget that there were even other people around. With every swing of your hips, your confidence rose.
“You’re making it very hard for me to stay on this dance floor. Literally”, he said at your ear and his warm breath sent a tingle down your spine, let alone his words. With a smile, you pressed your ass a little firmer at him.
The next moment, he took your left hand from his neck, had you spinning away from him again, pulled you back in and dipped you backwards. You already knew that he was strong enough to hold you and this time you enjoyed the dance move.
When you came back up, your eyes were met with a very intense, hot stare of his green eyes. With the hand that wasn't still cradled around your back, he gently pushed a strand of your hair behind your ear, letting his hand linger on your cheek, before he kissed you.
Compared to your kiss before, he was gentle, soft but still wanting. It was like he was saying sorry all over again and now marking his territory. And you weren’t mad about it either.
The kiss ended way too soon for your taste and you looked up at him with doughy eyes. He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but you were quicker.
"Wanna get out of here?", you asked breathlessly.
Instead of an answer, he grabbed your hand and pulled you off the dancefloor. You got back to your table only to grab your purse before you left the bar. Jake held your hand all the way to his car that was parked on the parking lot right next to the building.
When you arrived at this car and he opened the passenger side door for you, you threw your purse on your seat, then you reached up to put a hand on the back of his neck and pulled him close to you. You crashed your lips into his and put your other arm around his neck.
You let yourself fall back against the car and pulled Jake with you, who braced your impact with his hands next to your shoulders.
You let your tongue run along his bottom lip, your fingernails lightly scratching at the nape of his neck. Jake pushed his body against yours, caging you in between him and the car.
Your kiss got more passionate by the second, more urging, wanting. It felt like the kiss you had shared with him at the Hard Deck during that stormy night.
You were parked in a rather dark corner as the next lamp post was a few cars down. That was the only explanation for basically dry humping him in public. The real explanation was that you were super horny for him and had waited way too long for a moment like this.
Jake’s right hand moved down to the slit in your dress and grabbed your left thigh. You raised it automatically and he put it on his hip. He pushed his pelvis forward and made you gasp at the contact.
Your tongues danced with each other while exchanging sloppy kisses, being hungry for each other. Your fingers were in his hair, tugging on it and scratching at his scalp which made him moan into your mouth. You loved the sounds he made, they turned you on so much.
Jake took a small step back and you lowered your left leg back down before he broke the kiss. Your eyes flew open, being heavy with lust. Your lips felt swollen and tingled from all the kissing. You thought he would take even more steps back, stopping whatever you were doing, but instead, you felt his hand on your left thigh again, moving closer to your center.
You arched your back in anticipation of his touch. Your right hand was on his upper arm, grabbing his biceps to hold on to something.
“Mhm, baby”, he moaned as his fingertips caressed you over your panties, discovering how damp they already were. You moaned in response, eyes closed again, enjoying his touch as your head dropped back against the window of the back seat.
Suddenly his hand stopped moving and you opened your eyes, irritated.
“What? What happened?”, you asked confused. “No comeback to baby? No being all snappy about a nickname?”, he asked. “No, I like baby. Especially with your hand between my legs”, you countered, a purring tone on your lips.
His fingers started moving again and it made you gasp. “It’s also hard to be snappy when you do that”, you told him and sounded a bit breathless.
“Is that so? If I had known that sooner…”, he said and started kissing your neck simultaneously.
“That…sounds weird. Don’t go around touching people’s crotches”, you told him off as a joke but also as a fair warning.
“Are you actually lecturing me right now?”, Jake asked in disbelief and leaned back a little to look at your face.
“I said being snappy was hard right now. I said nothing about a lecture”, you countered. “Oh, shut up, woman”, he told you off with a smile and sealed your lips with a hard kiss.
You giggled at his lips but only for a second. Then his kiss clouded your mind, making your knees weak and when his fingers resumed their part, every clear thought in your brain was gone. His mouth moved down your chin and onto your neck.
“Jake”, you moaned. “Yeah, baby?”, he asked, loving that he had finally found a nickname you didn’t push back on. You grabbed his face with both of your hands and made him look at you. “Take me home”, you told him. “Yes, ma’am”, he nodded.
Almost reluctantly, he let go of you. He made sure you got into the car and closed the door behind your before he hurried around the car to his side, getting in.
When he started the car and put it in reverse, you put your hand on his thigh, the tent in his pants clearly visible which made you kind of proud. His grip on the steering wheel got tighter, his knuckles almost turning white.
“I wouldn’t do that if you want to arrive at home safely”, he told you and it sounded pleading. You pulled your hand back with a giggle.
You adjusted your legs which caused the slit of your dress to fall open and reveal your left thigh. Jake’s eyes shot over for a second, noticing it. “Y/N, you’re killing me”, he said and you didn’t know what he was talking about at first as you hadn’t noticed. He nodded down at your lap and you quickly pulled the fabric back onto your legs.
“Focus on the road and get us home, Lieutenant”, you ordered him. “Believe me, I want nothing more. Well, maybe except for touching your thigh again”, he replied.

Here is #4 from the picture game! I hope you all like it.
Warnings: Bullying, body image issues, slightly suggestive if you really look, swearing
Nervously you walked around your room slowly packing things to try and slow down the inevitable.
“Babe why did you sign up for this if you didn’t want to go?”, your boyfriend Yoongi asked from the bed where he was sat taking the clothes out of your bag and folding them neatly before placing them back in the bag. He had always hated the way you packed for trips.
“I dont know. It sounded like a great idea at the time. A week away at a beauty convention in a high end resort getting pampered and relaxing. I was hoping maybe I’d meet some friends or something.”, you sighed.
He came over and wrapped his arms around you, “Well I’m not going to force you to go but it does sound nice. Maybe go and check it out and if you don’t like it then you can leave and come home.”
You nodded and returned his kiss while secretly hating how level headed he always was.
The resort was beautiful. No city noise, no pollution. You could actually hear the birds chirping and see the fluffy white clouds. The lobby smelled like coconuts and hibiscus and made you think of relaxing on the beach.
“Sparking water with lime?”, a woman asked greeting you as you entered. You nodded and accepted the drink before heading to the front desk.
Check in was easy and within no time you were relaxing on a huge king sized bed as you read over all the options for different classes and events. There were makeup classes, hair tutorials, like eight different types of massages, mud baths, tea baths, skin care options, nail salons, the list went on and on. The food menu also looked incredible and you couldn’t wait to indulge.
The first day was great. You eased into the event opting for just a mani/pedi and a make up class on how to choose the best foundation for your skin. You snacked a little in the dining hall but mostly ordered room service and relaxed in your room.
When Yoongi called to ask how things were he reminded you that you were supposed to be trying to make friends.
So the next day you got a little more adventurous and tried the tea bath. You made sure to get there super early when no one else was there which defeated the purpose but you really didn’t want anyone to see you in a bathing suit.
Then you went to one of their skin care routine classes where experts would come around and help you with different moisturizers and cleansers. You learned a lot and you also met a woman there, Mae. She was about your age and lived a few blocks over from where you did. She was really nice and you had a bunch in common and she was also hoping to make friends. That evening Yoongi said he was proud of you for going out of your comfort zone and making friends.
The next day you and Mae had decided to get some breakfast from the buffet bar before trying out the makeup class again to learn about choosing the right eye liners and how to apply them to best suit your eye shape.
You and Mae were sat at a back table enjoying your breakfast. She was telling you about her boyfriend Namjoon and you told her about Yoongi. You happily agreed when she suggested having the two of them meet because they would become instant best friends meaning lots of double dates for you all.
“Well hopefully there’s even any food left.”, you heard someone say followed by giggles. To your left stood three women. One clearly the leader and the other two her little followers. They were all staring at you and Mae and smiling.
“Well I bet all the fruit is still left but I’m sure every pastry is gone.”, another one of them said before they all erupted in laughter.
“Just ignore them. They hate themselves so they want everyone else to feel bad too.”, Mae said noticing your change in demeanor. You gave her a sad smile but the damage was already done.
That night Yoongi knew something was wrong when he called to talk to you but he didn’t pressure you to tell him. He just reminded you that he was there for you which you appreciated.
The next day the words of the three woman still stuck with you. You thought about them as you ate your breakfast. You thought about them while Mae got a massage and you sat on and watched too embarrassed to remove your clothing.
In the evening you and Mae were sitting at one of the outside tables enjoying an after dinner coffee when your three friends from the other day came walking up.
“Can we help you?”, Mae spat. You were so glad to have her around.
“Oh be nice. We just got back from the dessert hall. We couldn’t finish what we ordered and we know you two won’t let it go to waste.”, the ring leader laughed.
Her and one of the other woman sat down nine pieces of cake and three eclairs plus a box of macarons in front of you two.
“This is enough for a snack for you two right? I mean it should last you until second dinner.”, she shrieked followed by her companions cackling like a couple of hyenas.
You could feel your eyes start to burns. Like he could sense your distress your phone started ringing and a smiling photo of Yoongi popped up on the screen. His contact name showing as ‘Future Husband 💕’. You let the phone go to voicemail not wanting him to hear you cry.
“Future husband? No way is that guy with you. He is waaayy to hot for someone like you. He has to be using you for something.”, the woman laughed.
It felt like you had been stabbed right in the chest. You’d always thought Yoongi was too good for you, that he was way out of your league and could do better. It took him a long time to break down your walls and squash your insecurities and this bully was undoing all of that in a matter of a couple days.
Mae spoke up from next to you, “Actually yeah he is her boyfriend. I’ve met him and he loves her a lot actually which is something none of you have experienced.”
Gently you bumped her knee underneath the table as a sign of appreciation for her standing up for you.
One of the women went to speak when Mae dramatically pointed at the itinerary in front of her, “Hey look, there’s a course on how not to be a stuck up bratty bitch that no one will ever love. You should head over there. You wouldn’t want to miss it.”
The three scoffed before mumbling something and finally walking away.
“Hey don’t listen to them. They’re just jealous that you have a handsome guy who clearly loves you and they don’t.”
You tried to smile. You knew what she said was true and that Yoongi loved you. He’d proven it time and time again but it was still difficult to shake the feeling that it was all in your head.
Mae took all of the desserts and started handing them out to people so that they really didn’t go to waste. She kept one slice of strawberry cake for you both to share. To be nice you took a few bites but all you could taste was bitterness.
Yoongi called you later that night again like usual.
“Hey how’s it going? Having lots of fun?”, he asked oblivious to what had happened.
You remained silent knowing that if you spoke he’d hear the shake in your voice.
“Y/N, what’s wrong? Did something happen?”
“No nothings wrong. Sorry I’m just tired.”, you said hoping it sounded believable.
“Mmhm make any more friends?”, he asked and you knew he’d caught on already. Yoongi had worried something like this would happen. He knew if your insecurities and how you always compared yourself to others.
“Yeah it’s been really fun.”, you whispered feeling your throat burn.
“Do you want me to come up there? I’ll bring you home or even just visit for a little. I can tell you’ve been crying. Y/N please talk to me.”
As much as you would love to be engulfed in a big Yoongi hug right now you would never want him to go through all that trouble.
You chuckled, “No no don’t do that. I know you’re really busy. Plus it’s an all female event so you wouldn’t be able to come in anyways.”
“Well we could pretend that your parents hate me and you have to sneak out and then meet me outside by my car?”, he said with a playful hint to his voice.
“First off my parents love you, sometimes I think more than me and I’m just pretty tired honestly. I’m gonna get some sleep. Mae wants to go for an early morning swim tomorrow.”
He sighed knowing that you weren’t going to open up to him right now but he accepted it, “Alright baby. I love you. Call me if you need anything.”
The next day you did go for a swim with Mae. It was relaxing and helped your sore muscles. Afterwords you got showered and changed because Mae wanted to catch this seminar on properly curling your hair.
The room was packed. You really regretted agreeing to go but you were already signed in and registered. In the middle of the room a woman was getting her hair curled with a large group of people surrounding them.
You and Mae were standing in the corner when you saw your bffs from the whole dessert debacle walk by. You expected them to say something mean or snarky to you but they were too busy grumbling to each other about something else.
“Who is she?”
“She’s so pretty.”
“Right…her legs are incredible.”
“She’s not that great. I’ve definitely seen better.”, their leader rolled her eyes and they all left the room.
You and Mae both looked at each other before shrugging and moving to one of the empty tables when you got a better view of the woman everyone had been talking about.
Not only could you recognize those beautiful eyes and cute nose from a mile a way but that woman was also wearing your favorite skirt and a wig you wore for Halloween three years ago.
“Yoongi what are you doing here?,” you asked trying to act mad when he finally walked over to your table.
“Yoongi? Who’s Yoongi? My name is Yoonji.”, he smirked pointing to his name tag where sure enough Yoonji was written in his familiar hand writing. You stared at him trying not to give him the satisfaction of smiling but it’s was difficult.
You waited for him to finish getting his hair done while you explained the situation to Mae who thought it was both hilarious and sweet that he would go through all that trouble for you.
When he finally walked over again you took his hand and lead him up to the room you were staying in.
“You didn’t have to go through all this trouble.”, you said sitting down next to him on the bed.
“I know but it wasn’t any trouble any ways. I know sometimes you let others get in your head. You were upset and I wanted to cheer you up and remind you how much I love you and how much you mean to me and that I would do anything for you…even driving here in the middle of the night while wearing an itchy wig and a short skirt and accidentally flashing a guy at the rest stop trying to get out of my car.”
You smacked his shoulder, “You did not.”
“Oh I did. I think he liked what he saw too.”, he chuckled, “But sucks for him because everything under this skirt already belongs to someone else.”, he said making you breakout into a fit of laughter.
You leaned your head against his shoulder, “Thank you Yoongs. I really needed that.”
He wrapped his arms around you pulling you in for a kiss which you happily obliged.
“I better get going before I get caught.”, he chuckled getting off the bed, “Give me a call tomorrow when you can. Enjoy the rest of your trip but hurry up and come home because I miss you.”
“I miss you too.”, you smiled.
As he started to walk towards the door you called his name to get his attention,
“Hey Yoongi?”
He stopped and turned to look at you.
“Your legs do look really good in that skirt.”, you smiled.
“I know how good I look.”, he smirked before dramatically flipping his hair and walking out the door leaving you in another fit of giggles and feeling comforted and loved.

Helloo!! If your not busy or have enough time, could you write an imagine from the husband!mike schmidt blurb? It was the third one, about reader going to the grocery store with a bunch of hickeys on her neck.
You had awoken much earlier than your husband, he was resting peacefully in a mass of white sheets and pillows after his long and gruelling night shift, meanwhile you got ready to run some errands. You put on a pair of bell bottom jeans as well as a cute checkered off the shoulder top, which showed off the crevice of your breast and your collarbones. After applying your makeup and jewellery, you fiddled with your wedding ring trying to remember where you put the car keys. Trying to quietly tip toe around the bed to retrieve your bag however Mike had woken up from his slumber.
“Oh looks like sleeping beauty has finally awoken”
“Don’t i need my knight in shining armour to kiss me for that”
“ah yes my apologies, let’s try it again then”
Giggling you watched as Mike closed his eyes again and waited for your lips to meet his. Leaning over you gently kissed him, about to pull away until he deepened it.
His tongue entered your mouth as you moaned against him, Mikes arms wrapped around your waist pressing you closer against his body. Holding onto you he sat up while you curled in his lap, his mouth travelling down the side of your neck straight to your weakest spot. Your moans growing increasingly louder when he started sucking and biting marks into your skin, just above your collarbone and across your chest. He pulled down the stretchy material of your top, brushing his mouth against the soft and supple skin of your breast, sucking more marks onto your perfect skin. He reached down to unbutton your jeans until your hands stopped him.
“unless you wanna drink water for dinner, you’ll have to wait until after my errands to do anything” Mikes mouth opened to retort but you were quick to stop him. “nope. no buts, now i better go before i get stuck in traffic, which will mean you’ll have to wait even longer before you see me.”
He slumped in defeat knowing that you were not one to argue with, instead gently kissing you and nodding his head to show he understood. Grabbing your bag you walked to the front door putting on your shoes and making your way into the bright summers day. Making the mistake of not looking in the mirror on the way out. Although would it really be a mistake?
Driving through the traffic and almost throwing hands with an old lady to find a parking space close to the grocery stores entrance, you made your way through the aisles as your trolley soon became more full. Consisting of ingredients for tonights dinner and snacks that Abby loved as well as some art supplies which she would be more than happy to see after getting home from school.
Heading over to the check out area you begin placing items on the moving conveyor belt. Looking up as you made eye contact with the cashier scanning your items, he couldn’t have been older than a college student, he offered a small awkward smile asking how you were. Politely responding, you hoped the conversation would end soon so that you could get home to Mike.
You felt eyes on you as you looked up watching the cashiers eyes rake you up and down, they stopped at your chest, not even wavering with shame as he read out the price. You pulled out your credit card, glaring at him as you payed, making sure you held your hand there long enough for him to notice your shiny bright diamond wedding ring. His eyes widened when he noticed, a sheepish smile plastered across his face, mouth opened as he stuttered to wish you a good day but you were already walking out of the grocery store doors to even bother replying.
Racing back to your car you were filled with rage at the absolute nerve of that man—no, boy, one can barely consider him to be a man. Looking into the mirror of your car while attempting to calm yourself your eyes took a double take at your neck, your mouth only widening further in shock once you saw your reflection. Numerous hickeys of colours varying from purple to red to pink were littered from the base of your neck to the top of your breast. Shaking your head you remembered Mikes antics from this morning, nonetheless it surely better have taught that cashier a lesson and you hoped it had bought him a lot of embarrassment as a result of letting his eyes wonder a bit too much. You knew once you told Mike about this he would never let you leave the house without at least marking you once, his way of making sure everyone know that you are his.
His girl, his woman, his wife.

Any chance you’d consider writing one about Yellowstone Ryan, for smut prompts 10 (“you need a place to stay for the night”) or 21 (“Bite me.” “If you insist”)? I can just picture the war between his snarky humor and being a gentleman!
i started giggling and twirling my hair when i saw this
pairing: ryan (yellowstone) x fem!reader
w/c: 1.4k
warnings: 18+ only. friends to lovers. drinking. heated make out session. dry humping. ryan’s sexy beard and long hair.
a/n: i know this is very niche but i adore ryan sm and i loved writing for him 🥺
“You’re a dirty little cheater!” You shouted as you threw your cards down on the wooden surface and pointed your finger towards the man sitting at the end of the table.
“And you’re a sore loser,” Ryan muttered, a smug smile spreading across his face as he took another swig of his Budweiser. Teeter was grabbing your arm before you could stand up, pulling you back down into your chair before you could lunge towards the cowboy.
Ryan was one of your best friends, truly, but he made you want to pull your hair out sometimes. He was the first one who welcomed you when you started coming around with Laramie. The one who would keep you company while her and Walker were off god knows where doing god knows what. He was the one that picked at you and took your jabs with stride, usually smarting off right back. To an outsider, it would look like you couldn’t stand each other, but you knew that wasn’t the case.
You never envisioned her little fling would lead to you spending your weekends at the Yellowstone Ranch, playing poker with a bunch of half drunk cowboys. Ryan took the time to teach you how to play, even though he was terrible at it himself. Which is probably why he looks so proud that he beat you, never beating anyone that usually participated in a game. You slumped down in your chair, arms crossed over your chest and a prominent pout on your lips as you looked to Ryan.
“Quit lookin’ at me like that,” he expressed, “I’m not feeling sorry for you.”
You stuck your tongue out at him as he shuffled the cards for the next round. You sat and watched Ryan’s hands as they moved along the cards, completely tuning out each voice. He had nice hands, a feature you caught yourself eyeing more often than you’d like to admit. You would never voice this out loud but you sometimes daydreamed about how it’d feel to hold his hand, how they’d feel roaming over your body. How they’d feel grabbing your thr-
“Hello??? Did you hear me?” Ryan’s questioning shook you out of your inappropriate thoughts and you felt like a deer caught in the headlights. You shook your head, waiting for him to repeat himself.
“Do you wanna play another round?”
“No. I’m- I’m okay, I’ll sit this one out. Maybe I’ll learn how to win.” You said jokingly, hoping he wouldn’t question why you spaced out. You found yourself doing that more and more the longer you were around Ryan. You had conflicting feelings, you adored him as a friend, but you also couldn’t help the fluttering butterflies in your stomach every time he looked at you softly or when he went out of his way during the week to text or call you. Sure, you teased each other to no end, bickering at every chance you got. That seemed to make your feelings that much worse.
“We’re gonna go out to Bozeman, grab a few drinks,” Colby said as he stood from his seat, “who all wants to come?” Each person nodded in agreement except for you. You were tired, not up for the excitement of what going to a bar in Bozeman might bring. You politely shook your head, getting up to grab a glass of water and busy yourself with putting away some of the empty beer bottles. The others got ready to head out for their night out as you sat on the couch. Teeter stopped before walking out the door to check on you. You told her you were fine, that you’d probably put a movie on and crash. The door shut behind her and you were finally alone - or so you thought.
Ryan plopped down on the couch next to you, letting out a long sigh and spreading his legs just a tad. You sat there and stared at him until he finally acknowledged you.
“What?”
“What do you mean ‘what?’ I thought you were going out?” You spoke in a hushed tone.
“Eh, didn’t feel like it. You don’t mind me crashing your movie night, do you?” Ryan nudged you slightly, smirking at you.
“I guess I don’t have another choice,” You said, moving a minuscule amount closer to the cowboy. For someone who just watched rodeos, Ryan was very picky about what movie you put on. He claimed he didn’t want to watch any ‘chick flicks’ and you told him he had no opinion since it was supposed to be your alone time. You finally settled on ‘When Harry Met Sally’.
Ryan surprisingly stayed quiet for the majority of the movie, making random comments here and there. You don’t know how it happened but when you realized it, you were pressed into his side. His arm was resting along the back of the couch, his fingertips brushing against the nape of your neck absentmindedly. At the love confession scene, you couldn’t help but tear up. No matter how many times you had seen the film, it still hit you hard.
“Awe, are you crying, sweetheart?” Ryan asked, tone light mixed with slight concern.
“Oh, bite me. It’s such a good confession, okay!” You exclaimed, pulling away slightly to look at him as the end credits rolled.
“Well, if you insist…” He said, so low you almost missed it. He had a look on his face that you could only describe as wanting. His eyes flickered down to your lips and you felt your breath catch in your throat.
“Ryan,” you breathed, voice barely above a whisper.
“Can I- Can I kiss you?” One big, callused hand cupped your cheek, stroking your cheekbone with his thumb. You were afraid of your voice failing you so you just nodded, whimpering slightly as his lips attached to yours. It didn’t take long for the kiss to turn needy. Your hand found their way into his greying curls, tugging lightly on them which earned you a groan from the man. His hands wandered down to your hips, pulling until you were seated in his lap. Your mouth opened in a gasp as you felt his hard cock against your core, causing Ryan to slip his tongue inside. Your hips moved on their own accord as his kisses moved away from your mouth and down your jaw, biting at the tendon in your neck.
“Been thinking about this for a long time, baby,” He said, words muffled against your skin. You moved against him that much faster, the denim of his jeans causing a delicious friction against your thin panties. The skirt of your dress fanned out below you. You could feel the cool metal of his belt buckle press into your pubic bone, sending a shiver down your spine.
“Ryan, we need- oh, god- we need to talk about this,” your words coming out in near whines. You angled your hips just so and moaned loudly into the empty bunkhouse. Ryan was grunting into your skin, hands roaming up your back and tugging at your hair, causing you to arch against him. You were nearly there, so close you could almost taste it. That was until you heard a truck door slam, and loud laughter coming from outside the door. You froze in Ryan’s lap, panic washing over the both of you. Quickly moving off of him, you straightened your dress and fussed with your hair until you felt like you looked presentable. He grabbed one of the throw pillows and placed it over his very obvious bulge, shooting you an apologetic look as everyone filtered back inside.
“Well, that was a quick trip…” Ryan said, clearly annoyed.
They all spoke at the same time, the only thing you caught was that Teeter suggested body shots and that was their cue to leave. You willed your heart rate to slow down, avoiding eye contact with everyone - especially Ryan. While everyone busied themselves with their nighttime routines, you found your pinky interlocked with Ryan’s on the couch. He looked over to you and smiled, causing you to bow your head shyly. You didn’t know what all of this meant for your relationship, but whatever it was, you were ready to face it head on. What you didn’t see was Colby smiling to himself, eyeing the mark on your neck and the lovesick look in his best friend’s eyes.

Hi! How are you? I love your blog a ton! Can I please ask for some Kakucho headcanons? Thank you 💙
Thanks, glad you like them! Got a bunch for Kakucho, he's such a fun character!
Used to make Izana crayon birthday cards each year as a kid
Enjoys long walks and hikes when the weather's good.
He doesn't tell anyone this but he sometimes get's a bit nervous during car rides (Izana notices)
When in a relationship he likes to show off his strength a lot, does things like carry all the shopping bags inside at once.
Likes to spend time with Pah and Draken in the good timeline (he joins their arm wrestling competitions).
If he's hanging out with the guys and one of them falls asleep (most likely Ran) he'll put his jacket over them like a blanket
Still keeps in contact with the workers at the orphanage, he likes to make sure they're ok and when he's in a gang he makes sure they get no trouble.
Knew Takuya and was friends with him too
Holds Izana's umbrella for him when it's raining (it comes naturally for him to do this when he starts dating someone too)
Shion won't stop challenging him to random battles like press ups and arm wrestling (Shion loses every time)
Frequently cooks dinner for Izana and occasionally the other S62 members.
Blushes easily
The first time he fought against yakuza was because of a sarcastic comment Izana made after Kakucho asked him how to get stronger.
He's been practically adopted by the Haitani brother's but doesn't actually realise that's what's going on.
Kakucho was actually super excited to take Rindou with him to exercise. He wants to do it again and assumed Rindou loved it.
Can surf well
Hearing Izana play the guitar is one of his favourite things.
He actually ended up liking South and felt bad about his death
Continues to practice running on a track so that he can one day beat Ran and Izana.
In the good future he's one of the kid's favourites, he's always up for playing games with them.
Drinks a lot of water, he's the friend who's always reminding others to stay hydrated
In a relationship he's a big fan of showing affection through touch. He loves hugs, and grabbing his partners hand when walking. He also loves sleeping while having someone in his arms.
Is stubborn when it comes to his injuries, ignores them a lot.
He wasn't sure of his birthday so Izana assigned him one
If he finds someone he likes he immediately goes to Izana for advice, even if Izana has never been in a relationship himself.
Is bad at keeping plants alive, he gets a bit enthusiastic and tends to overwater them
Whenever it snows he builds an igloo to remind him of before (Izana also joins in)
Is a very thoughtful gift giver, always puts so much effort in. Even as a kid when he was hand making gifts.
He's very physically hot (not in the way you're thinking!) he just gets hot easily, sleeps with the windows open even in winter.
Was very disappointed when he heard Takemichi had joined brahman, kicked a chair in frustration (he just wants to be in a gang with his friend)

6.7k words (my hand slipped, sorry), fluff, angst, low-key e2l, ex friends 2 implied lovers?, low-key rich kid au, swearing, drinking and drunk talks/crying, a shitty situation, a bitchy ex gf, uhh very low-key hurt/comfort?, lots of mentions of pizza and soft drinks, THE PLOT IS SO RUSHED IM SORRY I CRAMMED.
a/n: requests now closed! whew,,, what a doozy 😭 im sorry if it feels rushed bc it low-key really was such a rushed and ambitious plot on my part. to the anon who requested it, ik it's not exactly what u asked for and im sorry ><
The pizzeria was like your second home. Maybe it was your home, but you weren't sure if calling a pizza place your home was the best word. It acted as your bubble away from academic responsibilities, family obligations, and anything else you wanted to forget. For the past three years of your college career, you made this place your comfort spot, while also picking up some spare change.
Your friend and co-worker Dae bumped her hip with yours as she passed by you with her hands full of empty plastic cups to refill. "Your group of banshees just walked in," she mused, slipping past you to the fountain drink machine on the bar counter.
Your head perked up and watched the front door on the other side of the room open to let a wave of your friends in. Dae liked to joke that your friend group consisted of a bunch of "banshees" from how loud they could be. You couldn't blame her at all; it was hilariously accurate. On a bad night, the group's volume could reach levels of a nightmare baby being birthed from the Devil's anus.
"Yn-ie!" Chanhee and Jacob waved to you as the group of five made their way through the tight spaces between tables.
"Hey, guys," you greeted them. "You're so lucky a group just left." You nodded toward the circular table in the back corner where your friends often made their home. It was big enough to seat seven—ten, if you squished—but it was almost always for you and your friends.
The pizzeria's owner and your boss, Mr. Moretti, usually didn't mind your friends occupying the space. You were pretty sure he was glad your friends were hiding themselves away in the back. (Not because of the merriment, just because of the noise. Some customers just wanted pizza and a quiet night, and you could respect that.)
"Waitress! Waitress!" Changmin screeched, waving one of his hands around like a lunatic.
You came up to the table with an unimpressed look on your face, and Kevin wrestled his neighbor back into this seat. "Okay, so Changmin doesn't get to eat tonight," you drawled and braced your hands on the backs of Sunwoo and Chanhee's chairs.
"I was just wondering how long it takes for someone to get service around here," Changmin jested. He feigned one of those pompous brushes of his hair, mocking one of the rich pricks who had come in here last month thinking that the RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE sign didn't apply to him. Changmin broke into a lopsided grin at your arched brows. "What? I think I'm funny."
Your eyes widened in a silent 'Can you believe this guy?'
"He's sugar high because someone let him get to the cupcakes," Kevin directed his flat gaze to his counterpart, Jacob.
Jacob's hands lifted in innocence. "What? No one was eating them, and he said he was hungry."
"Okay, drinks, folks!" You clapped to regain their attention. You did, after all, have other customers. "What're we feeling tonight?"
A chorus of drink orders flew up into the air—coke, iced water, Sprite, lemonade—and you nodded, stepping away to grab them those very beverages. Your friends had all been here enough times to know exactly what was on the menu, so while you stepped away briefly for their drinks, they could deliberate and get back to you as soon as you returned.
Like a well oiled machine, you delivered them their drinks, and Kevin doled out the lineup for tonight.
"You know, I was thinking of painting my nails black," Kevin said as he finished off the order. He held his hand out in front of him, inspecting the state of his bare nails.
Sunwoo straightened in his seat. "We should do it together, hyung!—I mean… you could probably paint my nails. I dunno if you should trust me with one of those thin ass brushes."
"You're right," Chanhee chimed in, "we shouldn't."
You snickered to yourself as you left your friends to their own devices and pinned their order sheet to one of the clips hanging in the kitchen window. There was a set of plates set out on the window sill, the bill reading for table three, and you picked it up to take over to them. Dae appeared next to you, tightening her ponytail, and grabbed the dishes for table four right beside it.
With both your hands full, you departed to deliver your respective orders.
As you set the dishes off food down onto table three, you heard the telltale swish of the door opening, and night air flooded into the room. On instinct, you straightened with a smile to greet them. "Hi! Welcome—" your voice died on your throat, and when his eyes locked with yours, you stuttered, "—in. For how many?"
Lee Hyunjae brushed a hand through his blond hair, his other arm wrapped around the shoulders of a girl who was unfortunately familiar to you. A couple of the guys with him, you recognized, too, but he was the one who had made you trip over your words.
One of them with jet black hair and kind, feline-like eyes, lifted four of his fingers in a wordless signal.
You nodded, lips set in a firm line, and gestured to the open four-seater at table eight.
You tucked your empty tray beneath your arm, mentally thanking anyone who was listening that his party was seated in Dae's section and not yours. Thank god for odd numbers.
Dae was swift to chirp out her usual cheeriness to the newcomers, and you scurried back over to the register to cash a table's check. As you did so, your eyes flitted up toward Hyunjae's table. He glanced over at you periodically, looking away whenever you were already looking at him.
What the hell was he doing here? You wanted to yell, scream. Out of all the places, out of all the nights, out of all the times… how long had it been since you last saw him, you wondered to yourself as you let the bitterness seep into your bones and meld with the marrow. It was a feeling you knew all too well.
You strode over to table seven to set their check down on the edge of the table. Everything in the pizzeria was so close together; it was near impossible not to catch the words being exchanged at table eight.
"—don't understand why you chose this dump, Hyunjae." That was the girl, the one who's face made you want to throw something at it. Her name was Kyla, and the last time you saw her in person, she had just become Hyunjae's girlfriend.
Sometimes you questioned how they even managed to stay together so long, but then again, people like them deserved each other.
"Eric just wanted pizza, babe," drawled the blond, his arm casually draped over the back of her chair.
The two others seated at the table consisted of the man with jet black hair, and another with a medium-toned brown hair peeking out of a gray hoodie. The latter said, "You guys'll love this place! Their breadsticks are literally the fluffiest things in the world."
A smile curled onto your face at that comment. Now that you thought about it, you'd seen him around before.
You slid over to table one and began stacking the dirty dishes left behind by customers who had gone. Table eight's conversation continued.
"Is it normal to be able to see grease in the air?" Kyla gagged, her nose wrinkling in disgust. She soaked in the close quarters of the restaurant with little appreciation.
The other third wheel at table eight, the one with black hair, lifted his eyebrows. "It's cozy in here, Kyla."
"Yeah, just give it a chance," Hyunjae chimed in.
You brushed past their table to grab table seven's check and hustle it back over to the register. You met Dae at the counter, her hands once again full with cups that needed filling.
A grunt left her lips. "Table eight," she began.
"Yeah," you agreed. "Sheesh."
Her head turned to you over her shoulder. "You know 'em?"
"Unfortunately." You pursed your lips. "It's been awhile," you amended. "I only know the couple at the table—enough to say, good luck, girl."
Dae made a face, but she pulled her shoulders back to solidify her posture. You always admired her work ethic and her customer service skills. As fellow waitresses during many a dinner rush hour, you both had to deal with your own handfuls of difficult people. At this point, it wasn't difficult to sniff them out from a mile away. There were some days you just wanted them to yell at you and get it over with.
Just as Dae left to go drop off drinks, your friends' order hit the window sill. You tucked the finished bill for table seven into your apron pocket and grabbed the trays to set on the table for your friends.
"You look like you're about to gnaw my fingers off, Jacob," you teased with a twinge of nervousness.
The man grinned at you, with teeth. "I'm hungry."
"Valid." You backed away from the table, and the carnage began.
You laughed, ducking your head, as you left your friends to their feast. You arrived at table seven and wished them a good night—
"Do you not have cherry coke? Isn't that, like, a universal fountain drink?"
You glanced over to see Dae's mouth twitch just slightly, but gave nothing else away. "No, we only have regular Coke and Diet Coke; I said that earlier, miss."
Kyla stared at her as if she'd just gotten her puppy revoked. "But they both taste like ass."
"You can have a fruit punch instead," Dae offered.
"But I don't want fruit punch."
You saw that the other two boys at the table fidgeted nervously. They were making eyes at Hyunjae, urging him to do something.
He seemed to lift his gaze to yours at that exact moment and you wondered what he saw in them. Something shifted in him, a silent acceptance of surrender.
The next thing you knew, he was leaning into the conversation. "Ky, you can just get a water or something and then we'll go get a drink after this. How does that sound?"
She threw a look over at him. "I really just want a cherry coke, Hyunjae. If I have to be forced to eat at this place, then the least you could do is get me a cherry coke."
Okay, that was enough.
"Is there a problem here?" You asked, sidling up beside Dae. You saw her loosen up out of the corner of your eye.
Kyla opened her mouth to retort something, but she halted abruptly. Her head cocked to the side, eyes narrowing, like she was trying to figure something out. You knew the moment she recognized you. A slow smile curled onto her mouth. "Oh my god… Yn Ln. Mommy and daddy kick you out or something? Why are you working at this dump?"
You were certain your eye started twitching.
Hyunjae grappled her shoulder. "Kyla."
"This is gold," she chirped. "Wow, I didn't think anything good could come of this dinner, but—" she sneered, "wow. You look awful."
"Takes one to know one," you said with venom dripping from your words. "We have a right to refuse service, ma'am, so if you don't quit badgering my friend and me, then I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
She didn't seem to catch your drift. "No. Get me. A cherry coke."
You suppressed every urge to fuck this girl up. To Dae, you murmured, "Can you cover my tables?"
"For sure, girl," she said, giving you a reassuring clasp on the shoulder. "Should I call Moretti?"
"No, I think we should be fine—"
"Wait until I tell everyone I know about how absolute ass this place is," Kyla ripped you back out into reality. She had her phone out now, and Eric, the guy in the hoodie, was reaching across the table to stop her.
You weren't allowed to touch her, you reminded yourself. You could do this with just words. No matter how much it killed you to not sucker punch her stupid, pearly whites in. "I'm going to have to ask you to leave," you told her through gritted teeth. "Either you buckle down with your regular Coca-Cola, or you get out."
"How about—no."
All breath dissipated from your lungs when you felt the carbonated liquid dumped in your face, the blocks of ice just missing your eyes. The entire establishment seemed to freeze with you.
You scoffed, slowly wiping the soda from your eyes and shaking out your arms. You couldn't seem to form coherent speech.
"What the fuck is going on here?" You recognized Kevin's hardened voice behind you, his hand squeezing your shoulder to tell you he was here.
As Kyla and Kevin dueled it out, you found Hyunjae's eyes again. To his credit, he seemed horrified and apologetic, his mouth parted in shock. But then again, he didn't have much credit anymore in your book.
Your hands fisted. You wanted to yell at him to get out. It had been a decent evening, a good evening, before he and his like came in and threw a drink in your face.
You didn't want to address the burning bitterness that coursed beneath all the annoyance and anger—out of everything, why didn't he say anything? Why didn't he try harder to help you? Why was he with her when he could be with y—nevermind. That didn't matter.
Even now, your back still ached from when he'd last left it stabbed.
"Are you okay, Yn-ie?"
You realized that Hyunjae and his party had gone now, and the shop patrons were slowly going back to whatever they had been doing before. Chanhee appeared before you with a couple napkins from the dispenser on the table, and Dae rushed over with a massive roll of paper towels. Your other friends had flocked over, too, to help clean up and also attend to customers while you pulled your shit together.
You gave a nod, finding your voice to tell them so. Your gaze casted briefly toward the front door where you knew he wouldn't ever be stepping back into.
You told yourself that was a good thing.
It was late when you finally pushed out of the back doors of the pizzeria building. Your car was parked out back with many of the other employee cars; it was just a lot more convenient and a lot less traffic. It had been a couple days since the fiasco with Kyla and Hyunjae, and you hadn't heard or seen him once since then.
That was a good thing. It was supposed to be a good thing. After all, why would he suddenly reappear in your life now? What purpose or what significance did that have?
You were going to try and forget about him again. Your life was plenty good without him, and yet…
"Yn."
Speak of the Devil. You swore under your breath as you nearly tripped over the curb. His voice was haunting, as was his presence, his whole silhouette. You'd once found a home with all those things—with him.
You and he stopped beside your car. "What are you doing here?" You asked him.
Hyunjae had his hands shoved into the pockets of his leather jacket. "I, uhm," he began, "I wanted to say sorry."
"Sorry?" You parroted. The word was sticky in your mouth and it clung to all the wrong crevices.
"Yeah, for the other night." He clasped the back of his neck. "I… I broke up with her, by the way."
Your eyes widened at his words. He broke up with Kyla? A part of you wanted to pump the sky and jump up and down—finally. Fucking finally! But there was another part of you, the rational one, who yanked you back to Earth and smacked you in the head to think about it. Three years of dating that girl, and just now he decided to break up with her? What was the tipping point? There was no way he didn't know she acted like a spoiled brat all the time.
What was so good about her anyway? You thought you had understood at the time—she had more money, more connections. Her parents were old money rich, not entrepreneurs like yours. It was stupid to think that was the reason, and you couldn't afford to go down that rabbit hole of methodology again.
"So?"
Your singular word seemed to slap him in the face. "So? I—" Frustration flickered across his face for a split second. Now he knew how you felt.
You couldn't wait for him to say anything; you had so much to say to him. "Listen Jaehyun," you said plainly. "I don't know what you want from me. You broke up with your girlfriend? Good for you. You're sorry for the other night? Okay. I don't know if you expect me to grovel and praise you for owning up for once—"
"Okay, what?" He cut in. "First of all, I don't expect you to grovel or praise me or whatever. Second, what do you mean 'owning up for once?'"
"I mean it exactly like I said it." You clenched the strap of your bag in your hand. Crazy how your car was literally right next to you, but you couldn't get into it. Your feet were glued to the street, and a part of you wanted to know how this ended. "The last time I saw you, Kyla laughed in my face, and you encouraged her. You dropped me like our years of friendship meant jack shit to you. I don't know what you're trying to pull, Jaehyun, and I don't wanna know."
Hyunjae leaned his head back, eyes closed for a second. "Yn, it's so much more complicated than that."
You stuck your tongue in your cheek. "That's such bullshit, and you know it. You don't get to come back and tell me this." There was a shakiness in your voice now, and you knew you had to get going or risk yelling. "That's just not fair."
"I know it's not fair."
"Good."
"Fine," he bit out. "I don't even know why I'm here."
Your hand found purchase on the driver's side door. Say something. Give me a reason to stay. "Maybe your sense of guilt has finally returned and your brain wanted to make amends."
He rolled his eyes, and it felt like a stab in your chest. "I'm going to leave now."
"Thank god." The words tasted sour in your mouth and you realized that he hadn't given you a reason to stay; in fact, it had been the exact opposite.
You both went your separate ways again. When you clambered into your car and watched him walk away through your rear view, it dawned on you that the entire conversation had been one massive circle. You wanted to hear him out—of course, you did.
You used to know him, after all. You used to know him so well. And perhaps that was why you hadn't just now.
"We need to talk."
A pair of hands slammed down on your desk and you nearly fell out of your chair. You tugged your earbuds out of your ear to give whoever this was a piece of your—
You frowned. "Oh. It's you."
Hyunjae frowned back at you. He was wearing a jean jacket today, hair styled presentably. He didn't have to look so good in this lighting, but you supposed even the sun liked to favor him. "Yes, it's me. Can you get up so we can—" He nodded out toward the library window beside you, "—talk?"
"So you want us to jump out the window?"
"You are so annoying."
Your smile was saccharine. "Not as annoying as you."
It had currently been around fifteen hours since he showed up at the back alley to confront you with that sorry apology. You'd woken up this morning less mad and more sad… smad. Sure, you were smad. It seemed that a night of sleep hadn't deterred your ex-best friend from talking to you, and you couldn't decide if that was a good or bad thing.
"You don't even go to this school," you told him in a pathetic attempt to wave him away without actually waving him away.
"This is a public campus, Yn." He pulled out the seat across from you before you could protest. "I don't have to go to this school."
You scowled. The organ in your chest was beating awfully fast—you really hoped you weren't about to get in a screaming match with him here of all places. "What do you want, Hyunjae? You can't just show up everywhere I go unannounced."
"I don't do that."
"I'm starting to think you're obsessed with me, actually."
"Will you just—"
"Heya, Yn." Relief flooded through you at the sight of Changmin and Sunwoo walking up to your table. The former narrowed his eyes behind his dark-framed glasses. "Everything okay?"
You flipped your notebook closed and swiftly packed all of your items up. "Yeah, perfectly," you said. Hyunjae didn't follow as you stood up. "Bye, Hyunjae."
As you walked toward the library exit, Changmin and Sunwoo converged on either side of you. "What was that all about?" Sunwoo asked, his head peering behind you at the boy who was no doubt still sitting at the table. "Why is he here?"
You shook your head and pushed out onto the university grounds, propping the door open for your friends trailing behind. "Dude, I have no idea. He dropped by on my way out of work last night—"
"He what?"
"It wasn't even a productive conversation," you told them. You didn't know where you were going, but you turned around to face them as you walked backward along the path. Maybe you shouldn't have just left him there. "I don't even know how he knew I was at the library."
Changmin's mouth quirked downward. "Isn't this like… kind of creepy? What's with him anyway?"
"Yeah, Yn, how do you know him?" Sunwoo chimed in.
You sighed, face scrunching up as you thought about where to begin. Swiveling back to front, your friends clung onto you—both physically and to your words. "Our parents loathe each other, because they're business rivals, but Hyunjae and I went to the same schools when we were kids and we became friends."
It had been the two of you against the world—best petty friends. That first time his parents had driven him over to your house for a play date, the looks on both yours and his parents had been priceless. It'd been a wonder that they'd let you continue with the play date. From that point on, however, you both became friends for life, all despite the odds.
At least, that was how it had been.
Three years ago, just before both of you were going to begin your college careers, he had pretended that everything between the two of you was nothing more than dumpster fire. He ended up with Kyla, he became a jerk, and you'd spiraled. Had it been something you'd done? Had it been you? Did his parents open his eyes to your families' petty rivalry and get him to turn on you? That was what it had seemed like.
You'd survived, somehow. You had friends now—good friends, nice friends, un-petty friends. (But Hyunjae had been that person for you, too, once upon a time.)
You found yourself in your apartment at six in the evening the next day, staring at a half-drunk glass of wine and a crossword on your coffee table. You'd snatched up one of the newspapers in the lobby to busy yourself with in an attempt to take your mind off thrown cups of coke, bitchy ex girlfriends, and bitter ex friends.
It hadn't worked yet.
A knock on your front door drew your focus away, and you dragged yourself up from the couch to see who it was. Something panged in your chest at the face on the other side of the peephole.
You ripped the door open. "Do you want a restraining order?"
Hyunjae stood on the other side looking a little less put together than yesterday, but still more put together than you. "Yn, can we please just talk?"
"How do you even know where I live?" You asked him, not moving from the threshold, and thus, leaving him no room to come in.
"I literally helped you move in three years ago," he said, blinking. Oh. "Now, can I please come in?"
At least he was saying please, you reasoned with yourself. Begrudgingly, you let him in.
His shoulders seemed to deflate as he slipped inside, and he left his shoes on the show rack by the front door. Once you'd replaced all the locks, you swept past him to your kitchen area. "Want a drink?"
"Uhm, sure. Yeah, thanks."
You came back to the couch with another glass and poured him some of the red.
The two of you sat on the couch beside each other with a comfortable amount of space in the middle. He picked up his glass and chugged the entire thing, while you finished off your own glass and reached for the bottle. It felt so strange to be in his space again—or at least, for him to be in your space again. You didn't know if the jittery kick in your heart was from nervousness, excitement, or both.
What more did he have to say to you?
When you topped your glass off again, Hyunjae refilled his own.
"What do you want from me, Hyunjae?" You asked him for what felt like the hundredth time within the past week. You didn't have the heart to look at him now, the alcohol making your brain buzz and your chest heavy.
He nursed his glass, elbows braced on his knees. "I'm sorry," he said, clearing his throat when his voice came out rough. He fidgeted with the collar of his shirt. "You're probably so fucking tired of me, but I just… I knew I had to make things right."
You tugged your legs onto the couch and tucked them under you. "Why? Because you broke up with your girlfriend for throwing soda in my face?" For a moment, the thought amused you. Out of all the things to break up with Kyla for—out of all the things—it'd been over Coca-Cola.
Hyunjae swallowed down his wine. "No, that's not—that's not why I wanted to break up with her. I mean, part of it, of course. She'd disrespected you and your friend and the workplace."
His words and their sincerity drew your eyes to him on your left. His head hung, but you could see the glazed look in his eyes, dulling out those pretty, mahogany irises of his. He looked like your Hyunjae for once, not the one who had appeared in the doorway of the pizzeria with his arm around a girl who didn't appreciate him or anyone.
"And I'm sorry for that," he continued. "I'm sorry I didn't do more to prevent that from happening."
You stared down into the dark stillness of your wine glass. "Well, it wasn't exactly your fault," you said quietly.
You heard him huff, "Yeah, sure." He lifted the glass up to his lips again, and you did the same.
"The little altercation was recorded and posted online," Hyunjae suddenly said. "And when my parents saw, they pretty much backed out of the partnership between our company and Kyla's parents'. They didn't let me break up with her before because of the contract or whatever, but after that PR nightmare, they pretty much cut ties for me."
He took another swig, and you found yourself really looking at him this time.
"I was and have been an asshole to you, Yn," he said. "And it's no excuse, but it was… I was just trying to make it easier for both of us."
The wine was penetrating your defenses. Or maybe that was his story. But either way, the stinging in the corners of your eyes led to a watering of your vision, and everything was getting blurry. The lights, him, your whole view of the situation. His parents hadn't turned him, but shackled him instead.
"I thought," you began, lifting a hand up to wipe your eyes dry, "you hated me."
Hyunjae raised his head, shaking it, then hanging it again. He drank. "I couldn't hate you. I tried—I tried to make it easier to see you differently, but… Yn, you were my best friend." His voice broke at the end and he swallowed. "I thought about you so much these past few years, and it was so hard to get through it without you."
Your heart was sinking fast into your stomach and you could feel it hammer against your bones. You'd thought about him too much, as much as you loathed to admit. The man who you felt had simply thrown you away… how pathetic was it that you couldn't stop caring? But now, the lens was widening. Maybe your feelings weren't so unique.
Both you and Hyunjae moved at the same time, arms raising to drain your glasses of the last bits of wine.
You told yourself it was the wine that was making you want to cry, but when you and Hyunjae looked at each other, his eyes were lined with silver. He sniffled, setting his glass on the coffee table. "I'm sorry," he whispered, biting his lip when emotion made him screw his face up and turn away from you.
You put your glass next to his and clambered over the sofa to wrap your arms around him. He turned his face into your chest and sobbed, the sound coaxing a crest of emotion out of you, too, and you held him and rocked him through the oncoming waves.
It was the wine, you thought. God it was the wine. It had to be the wine.
But your best friend was here in your arms, where he belonged, you liked to think. He was home.
You curled your hand over the back of his head, your cheeks damp. "'m sorry they forced you into that relationship," you rasped. The bitterness was sweeping back in a different color. "I wish I knew."
He sniffled. "They threatened to do something to your parents' company. I couldn't—I couldn't let you and them get involved."
The confession stabbed through you. You had no idea what his parents had told him, and made him do, for the sake of business. You had no idea how unhappy he was, and god—you wished you'd known. Maybe things wouldn't have come to such hurt.
Hyunjae pulled himself away from you and wiped his eyes. "I think after all that shit, I'm a little fucked up."
The both of you shared a watery laugh, the space that had originally been left between you, nonexistent.
You cupped the sides of his face. "You made it though, and you've been so strong, Jae."
His bottom lip trembled. "Can you ever forgive me?"
"Yeah," you nodded. "Yeah, I forgive you." How could you not? And it was the wine—you swore it was the wine—that had you leaning forward and pressing a kiss to his hairline. His eyes fluttered shut as he leaned into you, his hand reaching up to cover your hand with his own.
"I like you a whole lot better than her," he murmured.
"I'd hope so," you mused, patting his cheek. "You deserve to have someone so much better than her."
He gulped, eyes searching your face. "You think so?"
"I know so."
Your heartbeat stuttered when he leaned forward slightly. You could smell the wine on his breath as it fanned over your skin. It felt as if the world slowed in that moment—the lights were dimmer, his eyelids low, lips shiny and plush.
And then he blinked, energy and alarm and… something else in his expression. He pulled out of your hold and his ears turned bright red. "I should go."
Your lips parted. "Wait—"
He practically leapt off the couch and banged his knee against the wall as he hobbled into his shoes. "Damn—I—" he opened the front door, pausing over the threshold. You didn't know why he was leaving; you wanted him to stay. Why, why, why was he leaving? "I, uhm, I've overstayed my welcome."
The door rattled as he closed it behind him, as if to tell you to not follow him out. You were left on the couch alone again, two empty glasses of wine, feeling stripped.
What the hell was that?
"And he just… left?"
You nodded, sweeping the apron around your waist over the hook in the back room of the pizzeria. It was late when yours and Dae's shift ended, as per usual. The shop was pretty much closed, leaving the two of you and two of the cooks who usually closed up the establishment when you both left.
For the entirety of your shift, you had been turning over yesterday's events over and over again. "I don't know what I did wrong, y'know? Maybe I crossed a boundary or something? I dunno."
Worry gnawed at your stomach as you recalled what happened to Dae. You both stepped out of the back of the building to head to your respective cars. It was dark out, as it usually was, with a few street lights along the road that you and Dae stuck to while walking.
As you approached your car, you noticed Hyunjae standing beside it with his hands tucked in his pockets and his head turned toward you. Rather than the sourness you'd felt for him at the beginning of the week, the feeling twisting in your chest was sweeter, but bitter still.
"I'll see you tomorrow then," Dae said to you softly with a gentle nudge of your arm. She walked ahead of you and passed by your car to get to hers, leaving you to confront the man plaguing your every thought for the past week.
You swallowed as you made your way over to the driver's side door where he was standing. "Hey."
Hyunjae gave a slight bob of his head. "Hey."
"Did I do something wrong yesterday?" You asked him, earnestly, searching his face for any hint as to why he had left so abruptly.
"No, it wasn't your fault—it definitely wasn't your fault," he told you. He sucked in a breath, carding a hand through his hair. "I had an epiphany of sorts."
"An epiphany?" You furrowed your brows.
His cheeks had flushed slightly, and he couldn't exactly meet your eyes. "I thought it was just the alcohol clouding my judgment, and in combination with all the emotions, and I just—" he shook his head. "It's probably not important, but…"
You bumped your elbow with his. "Jae, you're here. It probably is important."
A small smile curled up onto his face. "Y'know," he began, finally lifting his head to look you in the eyes, "she would have agreed with me and brushed me off."
You knew who the "she" he was talking about was. You frowned. "She was never good enough for you, Hyunjae."
"I know." He sighed. "I just wanna be enough for you though now."
Surprise lit across your face, and you could feel the butterflies in your stomach start to take flight. You couldn't think coherently with his words, and you were probably reading into it too much. The two of you had been away so long that you probably forgot how to read him; there was no doubt that something changed over the past three years, right?
When you failed to find a reply, he shifted slightly, his body facing straight toward you. "I've had a lot of time to think, and the whole time I was with her, I just kept comparing her to you." He stepped closer to you and his hand reached out to tentatively take your fingers with his. "She never measured up; maybe that made me even more bitter for ruining our friendship."
You met his eyes. There was that glimmer of the rich brown like what you'd seen last night. (Your Hyunjae was present and accounted for.) "What… what are you saying?"
"I'm saying that I," he said, fully taking your hands with his, "would like to start over on a slightly different note. But if you don't feel the same, we can start wherever you're comfortable with."
It would be different, you realized. But it would be a good different, right?
You found your voice, curled your fingers around his in the space between you. "Okay."
His smile slowly widened, his eyes squinting into upturned crescent moons. "Okay?"
You nodded, returning the expression. "Let's start over on that different note."
The pizzeria was as alive as usual. It was warm, smelled like tomatoes and cheese and bread, and it was still your home away from home. You had just finished your break and were tying your apron back on when Dae bumped her hip against yours as she passed by with a tray of dirty dishes.
"Your banshees just got in," she said, before disappearing through the kitchen doors.
Your gaze went to the door where you found your five friends, and the additional three, who were filing in altogether. You made eye contact with one person in particular, his smile softening into something fond at the corners of his mouth. He lifted a hand in greeting, grabbing everyone else's attention as they said their hellos to you.
The eight of them made their way over to the round table in the back corner, piling into the chairs around it.
"Waitress! Waitress!" The hyena-like sound set off an alarm in your head and you came over to the table to give Changmin a stink eye. He grinned innocently. "Oh yay, it worked."
You gave him an unimpressed look. "You sound like a chihuahua."
"Joke's on you, I think chihuahuas are cute," he huffed, leaning back in his chair with his arms crossed over his chest.
You braced your hand on the back of Hyunjae's chair, the other one gently patting the top of his head. He acknowledged your greeting, his hand reaching up to cover yours on the chair back. "What's to drink, y'all?"
A chorus of beverages rang out, and you mentally counted the few repeats and the singles. You promised to be right back, and left to go grab them. As you went, you could hear your boys start up a lively debate about the multipurpose properties of the lemon. You wondered if that was what they had been bickering about on the car ride over here, and you heard Eric say something about lemons for cleaning; Juyeon just said lemonade; and Changmin said for inflicting "more pain." (No, you didn't want to know.)
When you returned to their table to pass out your drinks, you went around, leaving Hyunjae for last. You set his cup of coke in front of him and he passed you a smile.
"You're not gonna dump that on me, are you?" You asked, eyes narrowing playfully.
He grinned. "As long as you don't dump me, we're good."
Sunwoo made a face from across the table. "Yuck, get a room!"
Chanhee smacked him upside the head. "At least they have someone to be yucky with."
"This feels familiar somehow," Kevin pondered aloud. "Like déjà vu."
Jacob shrugged. "Maybe in another universe. I dunno, it seems like something we would have said to Sunwoo at some point."
"Hey!—"
You were halfway through a laugh when Hyunjae caught your attention, twisted around in his chair to smile up at you. "What's up?" You asked him.
His eyes, you could never get sick of his eyes. They glistened in the lighting here. "Nothing," he said swiftly, "I'm just… happy to be here." With you.
You understood, and you caught his hand on the back of the chair and gave him a little squeeze. "I'm happy you're here, too." It seemed that some things were just meant to come full circle.

May I request an Ominis x reader amoretentia piece? I’ve seen sooo many for Sebastian, and while they’re all amazing, I would love to see some fluffy, maybe flustered Ominis!
warnings: none!
Y/N carefully stirred the potion in front of her, following the instructions of Professor Sharp to a tee. His voice rang in her head anytime she stood over the cauldron, a shortcut always leads to shortcomings. Y/N adored Potions class, with all its intricacies and challenges. Amortentia. The most powerful love potion in existence–crafted by a bunch of students, Y/N couldn’t see what would go wrong. Students whispered about how the room became fragrant as steam rose from each cauldron, pearl sheen liquid, in characteristic spirals.
Y/N stood beside Ominis, her eyes flickering over to his cauldron every few moments. Professor Sharp suggested to Ominis that studying with Y/N would improve his skills vastly–so one day after class, he approached her. Y/N sweetly replied, willing to help him out. He never noticed how her voice sounded before, he never paid much attention to her throughout his years at Hogwarts.
Just another student.
As the two began meeting to help study for Potions, it turned into hanging out. They ditched the library and would go on walks to collect supplies for next class ingredients. Ominis always stood cautiously at the edge of water as Y/N would collect leeches and tongues from dead toads. Yet, he always ended up running away when she began to chase him with it, autumn leaves crunching beneath their shoes.
Moments spent in the Undercroft, lighting candles to give Y/N more light to read her book. She read the book aloud to Ominis, who began to admire her voice.
In class, Y/N would make sure he gathered the proper ingredients and measurements before crafting. Maybe it was an excuse to feel her hands brush over his or to feel her warmth beside him, as she reached over for a bottle. Last week, Ominis almost created the most putrid odor from adding too many troll bogeys.
Ominis began to appreciate Y/N, more than just a tutor.
“Now, it appears no one has crafted the potion correctly; however, I brewed my own for this very reason.” Professor Sharp announced, his eyes scanning over each cauldron. Y/N sighed at the cauldron in front of her, her cauldron lacking the spiral steam.
“I assure you, Y/N, you most definitely brewed the closest potion to Amorentina in this class.” Ominis leaned over, whispering to her. She smiled, nodding her head.
“Thanks, Ominis.” He knew how much effort she applied towards this class.
“Y/N, let’s begin with you since you seem to have something important to say.” Professor Sharp eyes landed on her.
Ominis wondered what she would smell. The two developed a friendship, but not enough to talk about feelings. He knew some fond childhood memories, while she listened to him ramble about his friendship with Sebastian and Anne.
Whoever she would smell would be deemed lucky.
He heard her footsteps walk towards the professor’s cauldron. “And what do you smell?”
She leaned over, sniffing the potion. It took several wafts before any scent struck her. “I believe I smell…Blown out candles,” She thought for several more moments, “Perhaps autumn leaves and…like a lake.” Y/N pulled away.
Ominis felt his cheeks heat as she spoke. It did not take much of him to put together that they spent moments like those together. He tugged at the collar of his shirt, a sudden rush of warmth washing over him.
Other students shared what they smelt, parchment, rain–he wondered what he would actually smell. The professor called Ominis forward, wafting the smell of the potion towards him.
“I smell dark chocolate,” He announced, his mind flickering to her sharing chocolates with him any time they sat down in the library. “Plums,” The smell of her shampoo, the rich sweet aroma that instantly made him aware she was coming near him. “And…pumpkin.” All she would drink is pumpkin juice. He could hear her lick her lips after several sips.
Poppy nudged Y/N as Ominis spoke, her cheeks red.
Something about admiring Y/N felt like opening a window, letting light into his life. Everything felt better, each day. The warmth, getting kissed by the sunlight he never once felt before her. Ominis sucked in his breath–after class, this would be it.
As they walked out of class together and to the Undercroft, Ominis decided to take a chance. His heart beating rapidly, afraid it might pump out of his chest, his hands grew sweaty. She had her arm linked with his, something they began doing shortly after tutoring. He loved the warmth.
His mind raked with ideas of how to ask her for a date. Too early for Yule ball, there’s always Hogsmeade, even take her to Feldcroft with Sebastian and they can bask in the meadow. Anne always mentioned how beautiful the flowers get. Perhaps Sirona would have an idea of what romance meant, but how would Ominis even convey how he felt about Y/N?
"Y/N, there's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice trembling slightly.
Y/N turned to look at him, her eyes filled with curiosity. "What is it?"
"I know we've been spending a lot of time together, and I just–” “Ominis, did you smell me in the potion?” She interrupted.
“Perhaps–yes,” His voice was shaky. He wished he could see her face, wondering if she was looking at him. Wondering if she wanted to kiss him as much as he was itching to kiss her. He dreamt of what it’d feel like to feel her hands cupping his cheeks, feel her breath against his face, or be in close proximity because of her laugh–be the reason she laughed. He can picture the feeling of her grabbing his hand with every laugh, more gasps of excitement and clamping her hand over his shoulder, playing with the tips of her hair.
“Ominis,” she started, “I like you, a lot.” The infliction in her voice, pure genuine emotions. Her voice filled him with warmth. He felt her hand let go of his arm, running down to intertwine her hand with his.
Relief flooded through Ominis, and he felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. "Really?" he asked, his heart racing with excitement.
"Yes, really," She squeezed his hand. “I just don’t tutor anyone.” She hummed. The sentence made Ominis feel special, wanted,--one of a kind. She held him through the Undercroft, both of their hearts racing.
“Y/N–”
“Can you kiss me?” She whispered. Ominis felt his throat tighten. Nodding his head, he moved his hand to her face. His thumbs caressed her skin before tracing the outline of each of her features. He imagined she was blushing with how warm to the touch she felt. His thumb brushed against her lips before leaning downwards. Her lips tasted of pumpkin juice, just how he imagined.
“Ominis, would you be interested in–”
“Yes.”
She laughed, “You didn’t let me finish.”
“I was hoping it’d be to kiss you again.”

Shepherd Chapter 1
M!Werewolf x F!Reader
Word Count: 1K
Warnings: None?
When you left the house that morning to feed the animals something caught your eye. Crossing over the fields of greenish gold, you keep your shepherding staff close to your body. The sun had just barely risen and the town was silent, everyone exhausted from last night's festival.
A patch of grass flattened by the body of a man. Curled up and bare. A drunkard, great.
He didn’t respond to being nudged by your staff. Only when you saw the blood around his mouth and arms you realized this could be quite serious. Dragging him back through the pasture the animals cried for their daily feed,
“In a minute! I’m busy.” He was heavier than he looked. Once you managed to get him inside your home and onto your bed you took a better look at him. Dark hair and tawny skin. A friend of someone in the village? You’d certainly never seen him before.
Getting a bowl of warm water and a rag you began to clean him up. The stains around his mouth washed easily, but his arms were another story. Deep gashes and areas that were sure to scar over. This was more than just drunken tom-foolery. He shifted and sighed at your touch.
————
Slowly, Silas opened his eyes. He was inside again. Somewhere small and homely. A fireplace, a wooden tub, a beautiful woman, and no recollection of the night before. His arms burned and his back ached. What the hell did you do to him?
“Are you alright? I found you just a moment ago lying in my yard and I wanted to make sure you weren’t dead.”
“Alright? Sure, I’m alright. Do you mind telling me what happened…?”
“Y/n. And yes um, I was going to ask you the same thing. No offense, it’s fairly strange to show up naked in people's homes. Now I’m not one to judge but you look like a decent man, not the sort to get caught up on drinking games and god knows what else. I mean-” Silas quickly pulled the sheets up to his abdomen. This girl sure liked to talk.
Silas held up his hand to shush you,
“Could I have some clothes, please?”
———————
Clothes! You rummaged through the drawers and dug out some old pants and a loose linen top once belonging to your father. Handing them over, his hands held yours for only a moment, but that moment was more than enough. Suddenly a warm feeling tickled your chest and cheeks. Turning your back to him you shoo’d the feeling out.
“Your husband won’t mind my borrowing these?”
“He’s up north selling real estate this time of year.” You lied. You didn’t have a husband, but telling a man you were single was like telling a bear you’re secretly made of honey.
You heard the sheets drop and did your best not to imagine him standing there behind you. Tall…tanned…naked…stop! He’s a stranger. For all you know, the blood that was around his mouth could’ve been from some other poor woman! You bunched the fabric of your skirt in your hands and took deep breaths. This man would not get the best of you. When he cleared his throat you turned around. He had a slight smile now and stuck out a hand,
“ I suppose it’s time for me to introduce myself. I’m Silas.”
He explained that he was from a town far across the river and that he had no idea how he made it so far in one night. The last thing he remembers was walking home from his job and taking the shortcut past the woods. When he talked, there was a sincerity in his voice that made you believe every word. It drowned out everything else, the crackling of the fire, the bleating of the sheep-oh shit! The sheep! Excusing yourself you ran back outside and began distributing the feed among the animals,
“Yes, yes, I’m sorry. I got distracted.” Silas followed behind, chuckling,
“You talk to your animals?”
“I think it helps them understand that I’m here to take care of them. I’ll always help those in need, animal or human.”
Silas was a great deal of help while your “husband” was gone. He’d run into the village and buy bread. Help clean the house. Most often, he’d be sitting underneath the large oak tree that shaded your home. Reading whatever he found and telling you about it that evening over dinner. He never asked about how to get back to his town, only ever pestered you about your husband and when he’d return home.
“I’d hate to be here when he returns, that’s all. I think he’d see you and me and get the wrong idea. We eat dinner together, work together, sleep together.”
“We do not sleep together! Your bed is far away from mine and I’d like to keep it that way.” Silas scooted closer,
“Oh really? Is that why you insist on leaving the house whenever I bathe?”
You couldn’t believe what you were hearing! Your face felt like fire. How dare he ask such questions after you let him live here! Throwing your fork down, you shout,
“I do it all in the name of propriety!”
“Just seems to me like you’re being over cautious. Like you’re afraid you might do something if you saw me naked.”
“Oh, of all the insane things to suggest!” Your passion had driven you from your seat and into a mad pace around the room.
“You don’t have to shout, I’m just teasing! Why are you getting so defensive anyways?”
“Because I lied. I have no husband.” The room grew quiet as you sat back down. You only lied to him because you didn’t know him at the time. His hand found yours, and again you felt that strange fire in your body. He didn’t have to do much at all to get you worked up, it was pathetic. Neither one of you said anything. You didn’t know where to go from here. Silas leaned in and took a deep breath. Peering up at you through dark lashes he whispered,
“Then… you wouldn’t mind if I kissed you?”

Any tips for a baby witch who cant do anything TOO witchy (the people i live with are really REALLY christian)
I was always lucky enough to be able to practice openly, but I have also had to help others navigate this, so here are some things I think help. I'm not sure what your personal situation is, if you live with family, etc, so some of this might be more broad and not necessarily relevant to you.
I think one of the biggest tips is to remember that you don't need a lot of elaborate items. The aesthetic side of things is cool and all, but it's important to remember that you are magic in and of yourself.
Learn where you can (but also make sure to use knowledgeable sources to combat misinformation). Expanding your knowledge and understanding is such a big step, and internet access being more readily available is a blessing.
If you plan to keep notes/make a grimoire, you don't need a big, fancy journal. A digital copy on a phone or laptop is just as good. My first one was a bunch of scribbles in a one-subject notebook.
Things don't always have to be a big ritual! Again, the aesthetic side of things is always cool, and there's nothing wrong with it, but it's not a necessary part of things. A lot of times, my practice revolves around intention and channeling that into my actions.
Kind of adding to the above: subtle witchcraft is amazing. The thing about focusing on your intention while stirring your tea or coffee may not seem like much, but I feel like it really helps me to weave a little more magic into my life when my resources and/or energy are low.
Sigils! I don't work with sigils often, and I'm still practicing making my own. But I think they're great for when you can't do anything too big or bold, and they're so versatile. I really like them for subtle magic since you can make them small if physically drawing one, but you can also opt to just finger-trace them instead without having to worry about a visible mark.
If you work with deities, prayer! I feel like it's becoming more of an underrated act of devotion, but it is so simple and easy to keep hidden.
Bring a little nature inside! There's magic everywhere, but especially outside. Collect acorns for luck. Grab a rock that you really like and bring it home with you. Little things like this can connect you to the energy of the earth.
Meditation is good in general, but it can be used to connect with energies around you. I've found a few witchy ones over the years that I return to. YouTube is a treasure trove.
Find small ways to make the mundane magical. When you eat, think about what the different ingredients do (my neighbor just brought us pumpkin bread. To him, he made it because he likes baking, but as I eat it, I focus on the abundance and prosperity that pumpkin brings). Focus on cleansing your energy when you shower. Honor the sun by basking in the sunlight. Choose teas or coffee creamers with intention and focus on those things while drinking them.
Above all, remember that at the end of the day, it's about what feels right and works with you. Sometimes witchcraft is walking in the rain and letting it heal your soul. Sometimes it's pouring your heart into your hobbies. Ultimately, the magic lives inside you. It may be hard to practice right now, and your safety should always be priority. But one day, if your path continues to lead you in the way of the witch, you will be able to live your best witchy life.
Good luck! And if you ever need advice, I am here to help!
Also, I couldn't find a spot to put it in the above post that actually felt natural, but a chant I love helps me remember that I am magic. "Earth, my body. Water, my blood. Air, my breath. And fire, my spirit. I am born of the elements."
