I love Frieren and Himmel's relationship so much and I mean of course I do there's so much to love. An elf that thinks a human's life passes away in the blink of an eye and human that loves her? I'm already hooked. But add into that he doesn't say anything because he knows nothing will come of it with how she views things when he knows her and is content to just admire her for all she is as she is? The fact that she cares for him in spite of thinking his life is so short and getting to know him in the time they were together but regretting not coming to know him better after he died? I mean she's literally following their journey and remembering him along the way and the end destination is the chance to see him again, but I feel like she'll realize she truly know and loved him even if they never reach heaven.

And there's just. So many tiny details. I will try to recount a lot, but I'm sure I won't get all of them.

Frieren remembers so much about him. Regardless of where they go, it's usually a memory about him more than anyone else. She remembers his favorite flower, and takes the time to find it (though she doesn't consider time a least bit rare commodity). And she remembers it, which means that even though at one point she didn't try to learn about her companions, she afterwards made the point to remember their favorite things. And when she talked with Old Man Voll, who was regretting losing his memories of his late wife and asked if she could still remember her companions clearly, she refused to consider that she ever won't. She considers their memories that precious.

And then there's Himmel. Oh my goodness. Beyond just his initial attraction, the way he's always fascinated by her magic and her making enough of an impression on him at a young age that he sought her out years later for such an important quest is delightful. And did I mention that he just loves her magic? BECAUSE HE DOES!! And it helps her to love collecting her weird spells that much more, so good and supportive, Himmel.

And fear not I shan't neglect to mention the mirrored lotus ring because I am incapable of being normal about that scene. He had Frieren choose a ring (my respectful man there where can I get me a Himmel) and when he saw which one she chose he knew what it meant and chose to present it to her in a way that was sure to be memorable to her. Even though she didn't yet know the meaning of it, once she does, she can look back on the memory of him pledging his love eternally to her, an immortal, in spite of his mortality. He may be content to never say it, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't like her to know.

And now I am going to talk about a manga arc that ends on like. Chapter 118/119? So spoilers if you choose to proceed any further.

Frieren has spent so long now working towards seeing Himmel again and then she. GETS TO SEE HIM AGAIN!!! I am certain that if I scoured this arc I could find soooo many details for them (and I am tempted but instead I will focus on a few details that come to mind and analyzing one very specific thing about it.

Just. Himmel saying he likes who she's become, not having any clue that he was a major influence for her becoming that way. I just love that he appreciates her at every stage she's at it's just so uwu. and then when FRIEREN said he's a ray of light??? omg omg omg omg oomg I die they both just see the best in each other and I live for it.

And Then There's The Wedding. If you read this far on this and didn't expect me to gush over this part here is where I disillusion you. Himmel's feelings for Frieren have been pretty obvious up to this point, but seeing that he would in his ideal world want to marry her and spend his life with her is GRAHHHHHHHHHH there's no words to describe it. and like. Frieren is there too? how am I supposed to interpret that but as her own paradise? even if it's as a looser interpretation of she wanted to spend all of Himmel's life with him??? INSANEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeee

and then the fact that Himmel had his dreams presented before him, but he felt something was off, and didn't take advantage of it. Not even for a kiss. THIS RESPECTFUL MAN what is there not to like if anyone is good enough for Frieren it is without a doubt him. and the way they work together to get out of it???? oh man I love it

idk I just love their dynamic I think it's great and full of unfulfilled potential and I hope they get something some kind of closure if Frieren really does make it to see him again I just really love thinking about them thank you for coming to my presentation

I think for me it was 4.1 that made me see the ship as potentially romantic. When I saw the clip where Neuvi spaced out from the conversation with Traveler and Paimon because he saw and watched Furina walking away, I was like "hm? What in the shoujosei manga is this?" 😂 At the time there was also talk about Furina's Babylon references (her title being Regina of All Waters, Kindreds, and Nations), and so her being connected to the "Leviathan" (who was supposed to cause Babylon's fall) implied so much tragic doomed romance that hooked me.

I've also been a Guili shipper for at least the past 2 years (shipped them before playing the game in 1.4) and when I saw similar things in Neuvifuri I just fell into the rabbit hole. As I've mentioned, I like tragic tropes (usually) and "co-rulers tragically separated by their fates" is 👌— Guili by death and Neuvifuri by the fact Furi is now mortal. Both Guili and Neuvifuri too have one partner being the one to love humanity very dearly and help the other understand humanity more. (Neuvi's teaser implied that he holds dearly Furina's encouragement to understand himself, and his story quest showed that Furina encourages him to mingle with humanity.)

I have to clarify though that for me I see Neuvifuri more as not the Established Relationship kind; I like to interpret it as Furina nursing unrequited feelings for centuries (largely because she's so focused on the prophecy and keeping up the act that I think she definitely will not pursue anything more with Neuvi even if she thought it was mutual). On the other hand, Neuvillette, because he's only recently become more acquainted/understanding with his emotions, has yet to realize his own feelings in return, and he only realizes because his life is so quiet now that Furina isn't in the Palais anymore. The Mutually Unrequited™ trope plus Fell First and Fell Harder™ trope, combined with Furina being the type to sacrifice her own love for the sake of the world (La Vaguelette), is delicious for me; I eat that up like cake.

I'll shut up before I make a novel out of this. Sorry for the text blocks 😭 I tend to ramble.

Neuvifuri nation I forgot to tell y'all that I did Furina's SQ with the intent of seeing what all the Neuvifuri hubbub was about, and I regret to inform you all that I still don't get it. 😔 I tried. In my head they feel more like two halves of the same person to me than anything else. They don't feel like friends, they don't feel familial, and they don't feel romantic. They're a secret fourth thing (darn secret nth thing syndrome >:/).

I actually genuinely wanna understand because in fanart and stuff it's such a pretty pairing and I wish I got it like y'all did but I just don't see it.

Anyway, what about it is appealing to y'all? I don't mean this sarcastically. I mean it genuinely. Tell me all about it! Infodump as much as you want! I'm a Neuvia fan, but I love analyzing character interactions and behaviors and I'd really enjoy discussing this, so feel free!

No exactly like the fact they couldn't possibly be together is part of what makes the love so impactful he knew their lives weren't going to be in alignment and that he was only going to be a small part of it but he made the most of it. And her love for himmel is her guiding light now that he's gone the love is STILL alive 30 years later!!!! Sorry but who else is doing it like them

first ship ever: I don't remember. But the first ship I was really invested in was Mukuro/Byakuran (KHR). I still think of them sometimes. ^///^

last song you heard: I've had my computer upgraded recently, so I had copied all my files on the new hard drive. I've found so many music after I examined my belongings. XD So it must be one of those songs I guess. It's very likely that it was Rise Again  by Ronski Speed feat. Lucy Saunders, it's one of my favourites once again lately. I had to dig up my playlist on vk to find its proper name btw. XD

favourite childhood book: Nine Princes in Amber by Roger Zelazny, I almost knew it by heart. Well, technically it's a teenage favourite book, but I don't think I remember childhood books now. =/ They didnt have as much impact on me as this one.

currently reading: nothing, my work consumes too much time and energy, I can't concentrate on books. =/

currently watching: I've finished watching Sousou no Frieren a few days ago, and I am already thinking about rewatching the exam arc. I should have paid more attention to Wirbel. ^///^ Well, maybe rewatching the whole anime wont hurt too. I really loved it!

currently consuming: I've just had a cup of tea moments ago.

currently craving: it's 3 am now. I can't think of anything to crave for at the moment. =/ Well, I'll go with the easiest option and say this: I'm craving for money bcos it gives so many resources and opportunites. I've seen an interesting course on 3d design on an online platform like 15 mins ago, and I am kinda interested. it's rather pricey... And I don't really have much free time... And on top of that, I doubt that I could use this course to earn money. =/ I guess I wont buy it anyway.

Hi, Alice! Thank you for sending your request. That's actually a very nice suggestion, two characters in a single set! And something I would really love to do as I am also a shipper of frimmel [though not that vocal about it ( ◡‿◡ *)]. It might take a while though but please look forward to it. I wanted to make this set a little bit more special. ^^

Ok i know that probably like, none of you listen to arrows in action but they just released their debut LP today so i decided to ramble about them a bit because they deserve it and if no ones gonna create fan content for them i will.

First of all theyre a florida formed pop punk band (in my opinion, it floats more to alternative/pop) and now apparently they are located in tennessee. There are four guys- victor viramontes,  the singer, jesse frimmel, the drummer, and matthew fowler, the guitarist. 

Im gonna talk about the song that got me into them. It’s called All The Ways I Could Die. during science class i mostly just listen to music because my teacher never gives us any useful information and that was the song that came up in my queue. obviously you dont care about this information but i feel as though it needed to be shared. Anyway, the song’s chorus goes like ‘i just can’t wait to go sit in my room/contemplate all the ways i could die/ self sabotage is an old friend of mine/ and self care just inst worth the time’. 

Pretty depressing, right? But the whole thing is that music, it’s a form of connection, and the thing about arrows in action songs is that they feel so personal. Like, they feel like something you can shout in the rain and out the back of a car, scream at the top of your lungs and feel every word, spin-in-the-summer, fall in the grass. Also, im not sure who’s the songwriter (80% sure that it’s victor) (it is, i just checked) but the lyrics are REALLY FUCKING GOOD. like, maybe not pete wentz good, but nobody’s pete wentz, and they are REALLY GOOD for their first LP. since i started listening to them, I havent found a single song i dislike. Like, they really are so good. 

AND!!! I WANT TO TALK ABOUT THEIR HOOKS!!! One thing thats very consistent in their music is the sound and also the hooks. Theyve got this clear, clean sound, and im honestly very surprised that they havent been signed to a label by now since they have such consistently good music (and since they’ve been making music since 2017). And every single hook is good. listen to ‘Entropy’ off the new album. It is CRUNCHY. It is CLEAN. Its what i call tasty, like running your tongue on the flat metal of a refrigerated kitchen knife (not that id ever do that, of course). Like, it feels sharp and cold but slightly jagged. i could talk about it for hours. Also the high note in Put You Through Me literally makes me ascend. 

Also, audience engagement. If you look through the comment sections of their music videos, most of the comments have been liked by the band. Ive sent them art i did for The Credits and Head In The Clouds and Checking in and they’ve replied. They communicate with their audience which really does hammer in the connection aspect- connection with the audience, connection with their art, connection with the music. also theyre just really nice dudes in general like. yeah theyre just cool

Another thing i think is kind of interesting is that their producer is dan swank! I fucking love dan swank! he worked with all time low (one of my favorites) for a really long time, and ive seen him on some of their acoustic music videos from 2021 (hes the guy playing piano and doing backup vocals with alex). Hes good!!! I didnt realize that he produced music, so this was a really cool thing to find out. Worlds collide

So, yeah. Arrows in action, man. They’re great, and you should check them out. They’re like all time low but toned down, but it wouldn’t work to compare them to another band because they’re this new, beautiful thing, and they are so good, and i am going to stop talking about them now.
