He loved listening to you speak Hindi/Urdu. He thought it sounded sweet from you. True you did speak Hindi softer than English, you just thought that the language is 'softness' personified.

So when you were on your phone with you mom, he sat down beside you smiling to greet you. You smiled back and kept speaking into the phone now thinking to cut the conversation short as Chan was finally home, at 2am mind you.

"Accha maa abhi rakhti hoon, raat ke 2 baj rahe hai idhar." You say into the phone

(Okay mom I'll hang up now, it's 2 at night here.)

"Haa beta, so jaana and tell Chan I said 'Hi'." She says.

(Okay baby, go to sleep...)

"Haa bol doongi, love you." You says lastly, your finger hovering over the screen to end the call.

(Yes, I'll tell him...)

"Love you mere jigar ka tukda." With a kiss into the speaker she hangs up as you turn to face Chan.

He looked at you with awe and a little preplexed.

"Bed?" You asked getting up and stretching, looking at him for response.

"Bed." He nods taking your hand and leading you to cuddle you to death. (probably)

Next morning was something else...

"I want to call you something in Hindi, like a nickname. " He says from the dining table chair, as you prepare breakfast.

"Is there a special reason?" You ask plating the French toast now.

"No reason, I just want to." He says pulling you into him, smushing his face into your chest. You giggled at him.

"Okay" You replied, moving back to sit down next to him.

(Later)

"What about 'love'?"

"Pyaar."

"Princess?"

"Rajkumari."

"Angel?"

"Pari."

"I don't love any of them." Chan whined, looking up at you from his head placed on your lap. Doe eyes on complete display with utter annoyance glazed over them.

"You don't have to use them Channie, just call me 'baby' or something. I really don't mind." You assure him, not wanting to make him feel worse.

"But you call me 'jagi' sometimes and it makes me feel all tingly. I wanna do the same." He says, a little sad.

"Oh, what did your mom call you last night? Right before she hung up." He says sitting up straight and turning to you.

"Jigar ka tukda?" He nods violently at your words.

"Chan that means 'piece of my liver', it's not very endearing when it's translated but it's the sweetest thing in Hindi. Also, that's more of a parent-child nickname." You say as his expression turned from excited to grossed out to sad, again.

"Do you think we'll find something cute in animals?" He asks clearly determined to find a suitable name to call you.

"Maybe, I don't know." You shrugged.

"Bunny?"

"Khargosh...nope."

"Agreed, pup?"

"I'd rather you don't call me that at all."

"I was just teasing. Butterfly?"

"Titli."

"Why does it sound weird?" He asks as his face scrunches up.

"You're just saying that cause all you hear when I say it is 'Tit'." You giggle pinching his cheek.

"I do." He laughs, a light blush covering his neck.

"Let's pause this topic here, I'm hungry." You say to him pouting.

"Let's go out, I know this dude, that is an a-mazing chef." He gets up from the sofa pulling you up with his hand in yours and walking towards the door.

A few minutes later you were inside the cuties dorm.

"So by 'going out' you meant the dorms?"

"I meant, anywhere but home."

"And by 'a-mazing chef' you meant Minho?"

"Yep." He pops the 'p' at the end, kisses your temple before informing you that he's gonna go annoy Felix in his room.

You sit down beside Seungmin and Jeongin on the sofa as they play Mario Kart, very focused.

They greet with smiles and nods and hums.

You don't say much either as they seemed engrossed and you didn't wanna see them whine about loosing because of you later at lunch.

"Lunch is served." Says Minho standing in the middle of the dorm in an cartoonish voice.

Everybody settled on the dining table, Minho began to describe the meal he had prepared as the maknaes looked impatient to dig in.

Jeongin taking a bite as soon as Minho finished so everyone could start eating, earning an eye roll from Minho making Chan laugh a little.

"Jaan, could you pass the salt."

You pass the salt to him before fully processing what he said and freezed...

"What....did you call me?" You look at him, a little shocked but also curious.

"Jaan, do you like it?" He asks, looking at his plate, a little shy now as the boys were looking at you both in interest.

"Do I like it?? Channie that's like the best nickname anyone could ever use!!" You smile the widest with a blushing face and kiss his cheek while hugging his side, almost falling down.

He hugs you back of course (saving you from face-planting) laughing to himself.

A gagging sound from Seungmin brought you back to reality, as you looked around you saw a smirk from Felix.

"Did you use Google?" The first thing you asked as soon as you were out of the cuties dorm as your curiosity got the best of you.

"I didn't, jaan." Be says glancing at you with a proud smile before looking back to the road.

Everytime he used it, it felt unreal.

Did he even know the meaning. Of course he did. He wouldn't use such a word all the time without knowing the meaning right?

"Do you know what it means?" You ask, wondering how he found out about it if not for Google.

"Yeah, means you're my life." He answers grinning wide, glancing at you again to gauge your expression. You looked just about ready to be a ripe tomato wanting to melt away.

"How do you know it?" You couldn't just leave it, he could've seen it on the internet somewhere, Hindi wasn't exactly an unpopular language.

"Okay fine, I called your mom and she said she didn't have any but your dad always uses the word for her, so I asked her for the meaning." He says parking the car and coming around to open your door for you.

"So now you're besties with maa?" You snicker at him and walk towards your apartment door.

He's right behind you, his hands on your waist walking into the flat with you and kicking the door closed behind him.

"Can't blame me jaan, you're besties with my entire family." He says kissing your cheek and plopping down on the sofa, patting the space next to him.

"Hayee meri jaan, mera to dil aa gaya." You say kissing him and snuggling in his chest.

"I'm too tired to look for the meaning today. Let's sleep." He says kissing the top of your head and leading you to the bedroom.

"Old man needs his sleep." Seungmin's jokes rubbing off on you was not something Chan was pleased about as he mumbled a 'sure old woman' before pulling you into bed, into his chest to waft away into dreamland.

"Jaan, meri jaan." A soft whisper left his lips before kissing your temple and falling into a deep sleep.

When did stray kids form?

Debuted as a group of originally 9 on March 25th 2018. They formed in 2017 initially from a reality Tv show called JYP entertainment. In that show Felix and Lee know were originally eliminated from the group, Felix due to his Korean not being the best and Lee know because JYP labelled his raps weak so to speak. However after their initial elimination they worked hard and enhanced their skills leading to them later in redemption episode they were eventually brought back into the group.

Felix (Felix Yongbok Lee): known to be the sunshine with deep voice, 24 yrs old, 1/2 Australians in the group, crys on stage a lot, birthday is September 15th, sub rapper & dancer.

Bang chan (eng name: Chris): leader, single father of 7/j (his “kids” are his group members it’s a fandom joke), 26 yrs old, oldest, 2/2 Australian in the group, Known to be very kind hearted+protective of stay, very strong work ethic, birthday is October 3rd, like the groups leader + producer.

Seungmin (Kim Seung-min, English name is Sky):

Dubbed the ���Puppy” of the group, our favourite comedian, 24 yrs old, ceo of roasting his members, pretty chill, Birthday is September 22nd, main vocalist.

Hyunjin (Hwang Hyunjin, eng name is Sam): the artist of the group, ceo of side eyes, sassy+drama queen (we love), age 24, Birthday is March 20th, Lead dancer & visual.

Lee Know (Lee Min-ho, English name is Rhino): cat dad, almost like the mother of the group/j, can be quiet + struggle to express emotions, doesn’t like conflict, age 25, birthday is October 25th, main dancer.

Giggles for Lixie - The Finale

AN: Pt 8 AKA OT8 AKA THE FINALE is up for the series “Giggles for Lixie”!! I truly didn’t even think about making this a series but you guys liked the first one so much and started messaging me for more! Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you!

Felix was no stranger to home sickness. He came to Korea alone when he was 17, and has been here ever since. Of course they had their concert in Australia a few years back, but it was different. He missed everyone, his parents, his sisters, his friends, his hometown, everything. He was in his bedroom scrolling through old pictures, and all of a sudden it was getting harder and harder to see the screen. His vision blurred as he put his phone down. Right on cue, his fellow older Aussie brother walked into the room.

“Hey Mate, do you wanna…” he stopped when he saw his little brother's red and teary eyes.

“Hey, what’s the matter?” He asked in English. Sometimes speaking in English helped calm the younger down when he was sad. Felix shook his head and gave a small laugh.

“Just…missing home, a little…” he said as a tear slid down his face. Chan’s eyes softened as he approached the younger. He understood completely. They were both really young leaving behind everything they knew back in Australia.

“Aww bug I’m sorry…” he said empathetically when a few more tears escaped. His lip wobbled when Chan extended his arms, offering a hug. He leaned into the touch and hid as far as he could into Chan’s neck, letting out a small sob. He and Chan did get to go home recently for a few days to see family, which they were beyond grateful for, but of course they’re still thousands of miles away. Homesickness wasn’t uncommon but it still hurt his heart when his Lix was feeling this way. Chan combed his fingers through his sweet aussie brother’s hair while gently rocking him in his arms.

“We’ll be home before you know it Lixie, we have concerts coming up over there soon yeah?” Chan reminded him as he wiped away some of the tears. That’s right, they did have concerts coming up in Australia soon. It was part of their encore stages. Felix nodded. He did feel a little better, it was just hard being so far away from family. He loved his band mates obviously and they’ve helped him with this transition, but sometimes it was hard. Bang Chan gave him one more squeeze before swiftly getting up.

“I’ll be right back, bubs I promise,” he said before running out the bedroom. Not too long later, all of his seven brothers burst into the room all talking at once.

“Lix-ahhhhhh!” Han yelled as he jumped on his Sunshine twin. Felix yelled as someone grabbed a hold of his ankles and pulled him down the bed a little till he was spread out. IN got a hold of each wrist, holding it above his head, Han and Changbin each had a foot, Lee Know and Seungmin sat on one side while Hyunjin and Chan sat on the other. Yeah. Felix wasn’t going anywhere.

“What’s happening?” Felix giggled nervously. He had an idea what was possibly happening but he was too tired and drained from crying to worry about it.

“Operation Giggles for Lixie,” Seungmin stated as he poked Felix’s side. The younger one jumped and tugged at his hands.

“Whyhyhyhy?” He giggled as Seungmin gave a couple more jabs to his side. Felix looked over at Chan.

“Is this what you meant?” Felix laughed as Chan gave him a cheeky smile.

“We wanted to cheer you up,” he said cheekily as he poked the other side. Felix squeaked as Changbin started poking his foot to the rhythm of Twice’s “Cheer Up”. Felix’s foot jerked as he went into full blown laughter.

“How are you this sensitive??” Hyunjin gawked as he started repetitively poking Felix’s ribs.

“You’re sohoho much WORSEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA WAHAHAHAHAIT!” Felix screeched as it was all hands on deck. Changbin and Han started scratching his soles, Seungmin and Chan were poking and squeezing his sides, Hyunjin and Lee Know were wiggling their fingers all over his ribs, and I.N had a tight grip on his wrists with one hand while he lightly tickled Felix’s armpits. The poor kid could only shake his head and laugh to his heart’s content as the tickles took over his whole body. He couldn’t kick or pull anything, he just had to take it.

“YOU GUYS ARE SOHOHOHO BAHAHAHAHAHAHAD” he screamed as he couldn’t keep up with the sensitive feeling all over his body. IN managed to tug his wrists under his legs and was able to attack both pits at the same time, causing Felix to shake his head like a mad man.

“JEONGIN YOU PUHUHUNK!” He shrieked as youngest laughed along with him.

“Yah! That’s not how we talk to IN!” Lee Know fake scolded as he squeezed the heck out of Felix’s ribs.

“YOU DO IHIHIT TOOHAHAHAHAHA” Felix protested as he was getting too tired to fight. They knew they should stop eventually, but not before going for the kill. Chan lowered his head down to Felix’s tummy, lifting up his shirt to reveal his abs. Felix noticed immediately.

“Hyungiehehehe what are you do-AHHHHHHH HYUNG!” Felix screamed as Chan’s lips met his sensitive bellybutton. Felix was going ballistic.

“HYUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA” he screeched squeezing his eyes shut, not being able to form any coherent sentence feeling his leaders lips on his tummy. Chan was giving Felix’s tummy raspberry after raspberry as the other members continued poking, squeezing, and wiggling their fingers all over Felix’s most ticklish areas. Felix continuously laughed, giggled, and squeaked, bringing so much happiness to the boys’ hearts seeing their sunshine so happy. It wasn’t until Chan started nibbling as Felix’s lower side that the younger Aussie felt like he was seconds away from ascending.

“OKAHAHAHAHAY I CANT TAKE IHIHIHIT ANYMORE PLEAHEHEHEHEHEASE” Lixie shrieked as his body went limp and continued laughing his head off. The boys lightened up on the tickles and finally released him. He curled up into a ball on Hyunjin’s lap and let the giggles flow. Hyunjin smiled and ran his fingers through the blonde locks.

“How are you feeling, baby?” He asked. Felix smiled.

“Better, thank you all, really,” everyone smiled and gave Felix hugs and more pokes to his side. He squealed but he honestly didn’t mind it.

“We love you Lixie,” Seungmin said as he squealed him tight. Felix smiled.

“I love you all too,” he whispered. He truly did. He loves his brothers so much.

It's the 20th of March, which means that today is Hyunjin's birthday, HOORAY 🥳

Talking about Hyunjin means coming back during my first days with Stray Kids. He was the first member who immediately stood out to me and that I immediately recognized in every Stray Kids' photo. The first Tik Tok from them that I watched was made by him (which is absurd, knowing how he hates doing these 🤣). Aaaaaand the first Stray Kids memes that I clearly remember are made by him.

The best scenes from the English Dabate? He screaming "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" and "YOUR BEHAVIOR IS SO...UGH!". And what about the entire "EHI SEUNGMIN, you're lying. What is your problem?"? Or when he appeared during that Felix vlog screaming and jumping"EHI FELIX! EHI! EHI! I got the IMPOSTER". Speaking of Felix, I loved the beautiful dynamic Hyunjin made with him. They were the first duo from Stray Kids I immediately loved, mostly thanks to Hyunjin. I related to him so much. I still remember the most recent 2 Kids Room they made together and how he was trying to speak in English all by himself. It's something that I would do too, especially if I want to tell someone how grateful I am for them.

I think you've understood at this point. Hyunjin was my first bias. As the time passed and I got to know the rest of the members tho, he slowly took a step back from the bias line and other members became my biases as the time passes. But I didn't leave him behind tho. I wanted to know more about him and discover new sides of him. Because I'm curious. And also because I firmly believe that you can't completely forget about your "first crushes". Time might pass, you can move on but there are always those moments were nostalgia comes in and you want to remember the past.

And I'm glad that I kept in touch with him because I discovered other wonderful sides of him. For example his passion for drawing. During the pandemic I lost my interest in drawing. I was just mindlessly watching TV series or movies or listening to music. I didn't have any motivation to draw. But seeing Hyunjin posting his drawings made me slowly feel better. Maybe it's his style, which is very delicate and sketchy at the same time, or the drawings' subjects but everytime he posts a drawing my heart flatter. His works have been the first step for me for gaining motivation once again to draw.

And how can I not talk about his romantic side too? Probably you already noticed how he expresses his love through Kkami. The way he talks about him, cares about him and pet him is honestly one of the sweetest ways to show love. And how can I not talk about his songs' lyrics? They represent the purest and kindest love, something that I always search in songs.

My dear Hyunjin, I know that there have been times where you questioned if Stays love you for the way you are and not just for your looks. I can't speak for everyone but I can say that you have a beautiful, colourful soul. You already show this soul every time you perform or draw. And now that you started to write your own songs, you're finally showing us your sweet and romantic side too, which is one of the best sides for me. It's been a while since you became my first bias and I will never thank you enough because if I met Stray Kids in my life it's thanks to you.

My only wish for you is to never stop being yourself. There are many Stays like me around the world who appreciate you in every way and will always support you as the amazing performer and artist you truly are. Don't forget this, never.

over the years, i think it’s plain to see that he’s become more comfortable with expressing his more feminine attributes, which has always comforted you as his friend.

° Will become flustered and laugh nervously when you ask him a question in Russian or German. He tries his best, but he can't help but slip up sometimes since it is hard to learn a fresh new language.

° His first goal is to learn compliments in either or both languages, wanting to impress you with his words but also make you a flustered mess. Chan is whipped for you when you become shy and blushy.

° Since he practices so hard to learn, he will sometimes accidently reply to the members in either language. Once said 'klingt gut für mich' instead of 'Sounds good to me' to Felix. The younger aussie in mass confusion.

° Likes to flirt with you in German while the members are around, knowing they won't know what he says no matter how dirty or cheesy it was. But they get what the scenario is due to your blushing cheeks.

° Is a tease and has teased you before while you were learning Korean, so you see this as the perfect opportunity for revenge.

° Would ask you for a translation for quite a few things, unless there was a Korean version or it was basic German. He usually needed your help the most when ordering food or finding something on the menu.

° Is happy you don't tease or trick him even though you have many opportunities to. You just think it'd be unfair to tease him on that, since he never teased you for only knowing basic Korean when he first met you.

° You like to teach him German words that could be used as nicknames, you always call him Süße which means cutie in German. He likes seeing how giddy and excited you become when he learns one of the words.

° You find his accent adorable when he's speaking German, you can't help but smile even if he's trying to be serious. He knows you love his accent, so he'll purposely make it seem stronger for more cuddles.

° He decided to make a Russian mukbang where you'd eat Russian cuisine and you'd teach him new words. You loved that idea, but you were slightly worried that the fans wouldn't want to see you.

° Some crazy fans have threatened you for dating Hyunjin, who was one of the more popular members in Stray kids. But you weren't about to drop an amazing guy like him just because of some crazy fans.

° During the live mukbang, he would ask you flirtatious and slightly cheesy questions. Asking how to call you beautiful in Russian or how to declare his love for you in Russian. He just loves how bashful you get.

° Hyunjin has seen the comments and letters some fans have sent, and he wanted to show everyone including you that he wasn't going to stop this relationship. You are more important than anything else.

° You taught Han some basic German, nothing to specific but enough for him to survive if he ever visits Germany with you.

° Han showed off his new skills to his members, all of them impressed and some asking for him to teach it to them. Of course their admiration made his confidence rise high, but he wasn't annoying with it.

° Han is a tease and likes to joke around with you, usually happening when he ends up being right on something or if he beats you in a game. But he should've known not to try and out smart you in German.

° He teased saying that you now had stuff to learn from him, you just nodded trying to contain your chuckling. You knew he wasn't serious, and you were glad that he had some confidence in himself.

° But you couldn't help but seize the opportunity of showing off your skills, plus he looks absolutely adorable when he is confused. So you decided to show off one more sentence up your sleeve.

° You were visiting your relatives for your mom's birthday, Felix becoming a nervous at the realization that they don't know English.

° Felix brought cue cards with everywhere before the trip, and barely getting sleep on the plane ride there as he was too busy practicing Russian. Even though you assured him that you could translate for him.

° His whole mindset was to impress your family, and he didn't want to seem like he just wouldn't try to learn their culture or language. And since it came to you, he'd practice 10× harder to master Russian.

° When you finally arrived, he swarmed with warm hugs and excited squeals of your family. He was glad that they weren't cold or harsh with him, it took some pressure off of him. Showing his calmness with his smile.

° Your family all grinned at you with approval as he pulled out some cue cards while eating supper, they were taken a back by how determined he was to impress them. That alone showed how much he cared.

° You were so use to your mother tongue and usually seared only in German, but you didn't swear often. Unless someone or yourself got hurt, and even still it is sometimes in English.

° You were making dinner for you and Seungmin, surprising him after he gets home from a long day of practice. But you were also tired from work, and got clumsy when you were sleep deprived.

° Which led to you burning two fingers on a hot pan that was burning hot, you let out a long yelp in pain as you mumbled swear words under your breath. Seungmin arrived just as you yelped in pain.

° Seungmin bandaged your blistered fingers along with lathering the bandages with lotion and some cold water. He looked up with the a very concerned and soft gaze, knowing you must be very exhausted.

"Heiliger Fick, der weh tat. (Holy fuck that hurt)"

"I have no clue what you just said, but let's get you to bed sweetheart."

Jeongin

° Jeongin was practicing some songs for the upcoming album, as you napped on the couch curled under his jacket.

° That's when he noticed you mumbling unfamiliar words, an accent with each one. You wriggle and rolled around on the couch, having a nightmare far too realistic for your liking. But you were also very hard to wake up.

° Your ex boyfriend was Russian so you learned the entire language fluently just for him, but your efforts were nothing important to him as he ignored your love and mentally tortured you for years on end.

° Jeongin knew about your ex and helped you build your confidence day by day, comforting you through each patch of depression you faced. And he wasn't going to let you suffer in your sleep either.

Stray Kids as Colors

Okay, I know that we constantly talk about how Felix is yellow (which is definitely true), but the other day I was thinking… What color would each member of Stray Kids be? So yeah, that’s exactly what we’re doing today.

Note: I’m sorry if there are some spelling or grammar mistakes, or if some expressions just don’t make sense. English isn’t my first language, but I promise I’m trying my best.

>Chan

I know that most of you might be thinking about black, but black isn’t really a color, it’s the absence of it, so… I had to find other options.

Actually this was kind of hard since I don’t really associate Chan with any color, like… Everything was so easy with the other members, but when I think of Chan, there’s not a specific color that comes to mind.

However, after thinking a lot, I came with the color red. I don’t actually have much to say about it, I just think he looks really cool in it and I think he should wear it more on stage. It gives him certain... Power, you know?

>Minho

I don’t know why, but the only color I can think about is green. But not any kind of green, it’s more like a kale green color, you know? Like, a dark green, but not too dark. I don’t know, I just think it suits him, and he also looks great in it.

>Changbin

There are two colors that remind me of Changbin, purple and blue. But he's obviously not any kind of blue, he’s either navy or indigo blue, because our sweet boy loves dark.

>Hyunjin

Hyunjin is definitely white. I don’t know how to describe it, but he seems just so… ethereal, you know? And I’m not talking just about his appearance, that doesn’t really matter, I’m talking about his energy(? Like, look at him and tell me that you don’t percibe a certain calm whenever he talks or laughs. Idk, I think he’s the kind of person that has a very peaceful vibe.

Also, have you seen this man in white?!

(Okay, so idk if white is considered a color since, speaking of light, white is the sum of all the colors, but we’ll say it is a color just for Hyunjin, okay?)

>Jisung

I don’t know why, because it’s not even a color that he usually wears, but I can totally see him as orange. I’m not even gonna specify a shade, just orange in general. He has such a cheerful, but at the same time calm vibe. I’m sorry, but in my heart, he’s orange.

Also I can see him as light gray, but I think it’s because of the hoodies he sometimes uses.

>Felix

I think Felix is gonna be the most predictable of all the members, but we all know he’s yellow. I mean… He’s our sunshine! What other colour could he be?! But, if I had to choose another color, it would have to be a soft pink. Look at him in that Kingdom’s episode and tell me he doesn’t look adorable and fluffy and beautiful!

>Seungmin

The color blue was made for Seungmin and you cannot tell me otherwise. Every time I think about him, I think about the blue color, it’s just something automatic at this point. However, I also see him as a sage green or very soft tones of green in general. Also, I can see him as lavender or lilac.

Fun fact: In the past, the color blue was very hard to obtain, so it was only used for very special paintings, like the ones that were made for the realness or religious figures. So yeah, King Seungmin confirmed.

>Jeongin

Okay, so we all know how Jeongin loves pink, and we usually identify him with that color, but something we don’t talk about that often is how this boy gives such a yellow energy. He’s always smiling and being so energetic, and we’ve already heard from the members that he’s the one who gives strength and motivation to the others, so yeah, Innie is basically the sun and I do not take constructive criticisms.

Stray kids reaction to their girlfriend getting her wisdom tooth removed

This may not be realistic because I haven’t experienced this but I tried my best so I hope you appreciate it ❤️ I also really had fun writing this :>

` C H A N ▪

Chan would be there next to you. He knows how scared you were when you were told you needed to get your wisdom tooth removed. If he could, he would be holding your hand throughout the entire procedure, but he can’t. All he could do was sit at the reception, leg bouncing because of how nervous he was for you. After 30 minutes or more, he was called inside by the dentist. 

“She is still under medication so she might be a little loopy. Are you her boyfriend?” The dentist asks Chan. “Yes. Why do you ask?”

“Well this is the best time to record her because she might spout out nonsense.” The dentist says while chuckling a little. “will do doc.” Chan says while shaking hands with the doctor and thanking him. He walks into your room and sees your face stuffed with cotton. 

“Hi baby, are you feeling okay?” Chan asks sitting down next to you and holding your hand. 

“Hmmmm..” 

“What baby?”

“I can’t feel my mouth... Do I still have a mouth?” You say panicking while touching your face with you free hand. 

“Yes, they’re there. If they weren’t how are you able to speak babe?” 

“Ohhhhh.... You’re right. Wait are you my boyfriend?” You ask.

“Yes baby I am. I’m also here to take us home so you can rest.”

“Woah, we live together?” You say, your eyes comically wide. Chan laughs at your reaction.

“Yes, for 2 years now actually.” He says while helping you stand up. 

“Wooahhhhhh..... That’s so cool. Like my parents approved? I didn’t have to run away or anything right? Like they know that I’m with you?” Chan laughs at your question. “Yes, they know. They are actually going to visit us today because you had your wisdom tooth removed.”

“Dang.. Thats so cool.” You say while staring off into space. Chan really wished he recorded you now.

` M I N H O ▪

I see Minho as teasing you a lot when you got your wisdom tooth removed. But he would be sweet about it. He would talk to you a lot just so he could see your confused face every time he asks a question. 

“Babe, did you know that dogs live on until 10 to 13 years?” 

“What? But thats so short. I thought dogs lived forever? Like they grow old with us?” You say as you get teary eyed. “Oh no baby don’t cry.” He says while reaching over to the passenger side of the car. “Dogs live a short life, but they live a happy life! So no need to feel sad okay?”

“They do? Thats so cute though. Can we get a dog?” You ask him. “Oh, we’ll see about that baby. It’s cause we have cats at home, and you know some of them don’t get along so well.” He says. 

“Well, how long do cats live?” You ask him.

“Like 16 years at most?” Minho answers you. “How old are our cats?” Minho looks at you disappointedly. Almost offended that you forgot about the age of your cats. “Wow, how could you y/n, their own mother, not knowing how old they are.” 

“Wait no I remember now don’t worry.” 

“So how old are they?” 

“They are new borns. Easy. They have a whole 16 years or more with us!” Minho glances at you and sees your happy face and decides not to let you know that they are not in fact new borns. The drive home was silent. When you guys got home he let you rest on the sofa while he got a new set of clothes for you. While looking for a tshirt he heard you crying really loudly. He rushes down, concerned of what happened to you. When he sees you hugging all of the 3 cats with tears streaming down your face, he was confused. 

“Why are you crying y/n?”

“You lied to me! They aren’t new borns! They’re big and fluffy!” You say while hugging them more. 

` C H A N G B I N ▪

With Changbin, I see him being really amused and really concerned. You weren’t talking nonsense after your wisdom teeth got removed, you were kinda sensitive after. 

“How was it pumpkin?” He asks while on the drive home. 

“It was great. They were talking to me a lot when they were doing it. I didn’t know how to answer though, there were a lot of things on my mouth.”

“Do you feel okay? Do you want anything?” 

“Can we get Mcdonalds? I really want to eat something right now.” You say.

“Okay we can. But you can only eat soft foods. Is ice cream okay?” 

You get teary eyed when he says that. “But, I want a burger and fries.” You say looking at him with a tear going down dramatically down your cheek. “Oh no, don’t cry pumpkin. We can order a burger in the next few days okay? You can have ice cream then I’ll cook you porridge when we get home.” 

You nod at what he says and wipe your tears. He orders ice cream and hands it to you. “What about you? Aren’t you going to eat?” 

“I’m good pumpkin. Enjoy your ice cream, okay?” He says and continues driving home. You look at him then at the ice cream. You take a scoop then put it near his mouth. 

“here, share with me please.” You say as you put the spoon closer to his mouth. “I’m okay baby. You eat it okay?” He says refusing your scoop of ice cream. 

You get teary eyed again. “Why don’t you want ice cream? Ice cream is the best.” Two tears roll down your face.”Okay, okay. If I eat the ice cream will you stop crying?” 

“Yes!” You say smiling at him and put the spoon near his mouth again. 

` H Y U N J I N ▪

Hyunjin would be really caring towards you. Would also definitely tease and record you because you were just so cute. Like yeah you were kinda acting high, but he found it really cute because while you guys were in the car, you were touching everything like it was your first time seeing it. So when you guys got home he practically dragged you to the bedroom because you had the attention span of a goldfish today.

“Okay stay on the bed. I’ll go get you yoghurt or something because the dentist says you can only eat soft foods.” He stands up then leaves the room, he hears shuffling when he was going to close the door so he peeks inside. You were trying to remove the blanket from your legs, them getting tangled more because of how you were trying to remove them. He came in again. 

“What did I tell you y/n?” You stop what you were doing and sit up straight. 

“You told me you were going to get food.” 

“Before that.” 

“Oh. Uhm, Wait I know this.” You say thinking really hard. 

“I told you-” 

“No! Don’t tell me! It’s on the tip of my tongue. It, it was, to stay on the bed!” 

“Okay good and what were you doing?” 

“I was getting the blanket off me because it was hot.” You say while pouting at him. “I wasn’t getting off the bed. I promise!” You say while making a cross on your heart. 

“Okay I believe you. Now, I’ll get your yoghurt. Stay on the bed.” 

5 minutes later Hyunjin returns and sees an open purse and you putting lipstick on your cheeks. 

“y/n! I told you to stay put!” 

“You told me to stay on the bed! I’m still on the bed!”

` J I S U N G ▪

Jisung would also tease you a lot. Almost like Minho. He was very curious to how you would react to all the nonsense he says and he would be very amused as to also how you answer with nonsense. He would also be the one to record you. Just so he could make fun of you after.

“You know when we came here I was really nervous.” You say to him.

“Yeah I know sweetie, you were holding my hand so tight while we were on the parking lot.” He says while pressing record on his phone.

“But then they started doing it. And, and I didn’t even feel anything! It was like I was just there , you know?” You say looking at him. “I think I fell asleep when they started. All I remember is seeing Shrek sat on that chair.” You point over to a table. “And then he was waving at me then when I blinked you were standing where he was!” 

He was laughing so hard now with what you were saying. Then it dawned on him.

“Wait, did you just indirectly say I looked like Shrek? I was the one sitting on the chair next to the table.” He says. 

“No, no. The one I saw was Shrek. Not you.” You pause then your eyes get wide. “Woah he’s back! Hi Shrek!” You say while waving and smiling at the door. Oh he was totally sending this to the boys and your parents when you got home. 

` F E L I X ▪

Felix would be so cute :< Always tending to what you need or being concerned if something hurt. He would pay attention to you the whole time you were recovering. 

“What do you need y/n? Does it hurt a lot? Do you feel weird?” He continues asking you all of these things. And you are just there, staring at him. “Why are you looking at me like that? He asks, very confused. 

“Woah you have stars on your cheeks.” You say while poking his freckles. He chuckles at you and lets you poke all his freckles. “How.. How did these get here?” You ask while looking at his freckles in amazement.

“And you have the whole galaxy in your eyes babe. I could stare into them all day.” He says. You don’t mind what he says cause you were kinda high as kite right now. 

“Are you done babe?” 

“No, wait wait. I lost count. Don’t distract me.” You say and poke his freckles more. 

“How many freckles do you think are on my face y/n?” He asks while admiring how your eyes really do sparkle when you look at him. 

“I don’t know bro, maybe 5 at most.” He bursts into laughter when you said that.

` S E U N G M I N ▪

Seungmin would be very patient with you. Unlike to the other members where they are almost always on thin ice. He would be very sweet and caring when you get your wisdom tooth removed. Even if you keep talking to him about anything even all the theories or nonsense you have to say, he will listen to everything. 

“Did you know that dogs understand some english?” You say to Seungmin. 

“Really? How is that?” He asks truly wanting to know your answer. 

“Well, I don’t really know. But can you just imagine, saying I love you to a dog and then it wags its tail so much because it knows you’re saying I love you to them?” 

“That’s so cute honey. What else do you know?” He asks hoping to keep the conversation going. 

“Well, did you know that most penguins only have one mate for life? They spend all their time together and if one dies the other one gets really depressed and doesn’t want to find another one to love?” 

“That’s really romantic and sad at the same time. We can just hope that the penguins that do find their mate live together until they die right?” Seungmin says to you. 

“Yeah. I hope they do. What was that one animal that finds the most perfect stone and gives it to their mate?” 

“You mean, a Penguin?” 

“Yeah! A Penguin! Speaking of Penguins, did you know that Penguins only have one mate for life?” You say to him again. Seungmin laughs at you, and yet replies.

“Really? Thats so sweet!” 

` J E O N G I N ▪

Jeongin would actually not know what to do. Like yeah he would take care of you and make sure you were okay. But when it comes to you saying how you saw a horse just outside your room, he wouldn’t know how to react. He will just know that you need all the love and cuddles he can give. 

“What did you say?”

“There was a dinosaur by the window. It was like this big.” You say pointing at the pillow by your side. “It was kinda small. I’m kinda disappointed that it wasn’t as big as a T-rex. Look there are fishes on the floor!” 

He looks down and then looks back at you. 

“Fishes? Where?” He takes a step towards you and you scream at him. 

“No! Don’t move! You’ll step on them if you move!” Then not a second later your head falls back on the pillow.

“What did they inject you with? You’re saying stuff and seeing things that I can’t see. I’m getting really concerned.” He says while laying down next to you. He hugs you and he thought that you were fast asleep. 

“Innie, the fairy is talking to me. She says that you’re really cute and she wants to steal you away from me! You won’t leave me right?” You look at him with big eyes and pouty lips. You were really scared that the fairy was gonna steal him away from you.

“Well, tell the fairy that I’m taken by the most beautiful angel there is. Even though right now the angel has a bleeding mouth, she is still very beautiful.” He says and kisses your forehead. 

“You heard that? He says he’s taken, and I’m his!” you give him a questioning look. “You were saying that I’m the angel right?” 

“Yes Angel. That’s you.”

10 Random Things I Love:

That he loves to bake and he loves sharing it with the other members, as well as everyone else he works with. It’s such a sweet thing that he chooses to do out of the goodness of his heart. I talk about this with Minho too, but it’s also probably a way he shows his love.

Speaking of his heart, I love how much Felix clearly loves the other members. And I love how open he is about that, especially in the 2 Kids Room episodes, but really any time. Just like, when he talked about Changbin being his type, or how he is who he is because of Hyunjin. It can be a little thing, like the former, or something very deep, like the latter, but he’s so open about it, and I love that.

And piggybacking off that point one more time, how openly affectionate he is and how he loves physical contact, and loves cuddling and hugging the boys, and all the boys are just accepting of this because that’s just who he is. It’s refreshing to see how much he just loves to love people. I know all the boys, to some extent, are physically affectionate with each other, but it feels like Felix is the most.

The contrast of his voice and his looks. I know it’s talked about a ton amongst old and new fans alike, but it’s still such a striking thing about him. Also, like, when he laughs and it goes from high to low in one laugh, I love that.

Out of the three Danceracha members, I’d say Felix’s dancing is talked about the least, just from my perspective, but he’s definitely an extremely talented dancer.

That he is constantly referred to as sunshine. That he is considered sunshine personified by some. I imagine that something like that can also feel like a bit of a burden, because I imagine constantly having to be like that can be a bit exhausting. But Felix seems to love it, at least purely from what we see, so it’s sweet.

His asmr. I only really got into asmr a few months ago, and even then, it’s not all of what’s out there, it’s only some things. But Felix doing it is so relaxing. Not just the random things like tapping or eating, but even just him talking is so calming to me.

The fact that he started as a trainee with only a basic understanding of Korean and had to learn so much, so fast, to be able to get to a point where he could speak it comfortably. I want to learn Korean, but I know it can be difficult, so how hard he must have worked to get to where he is now is awesome.

Not as much directly about him, but how the other boys, especially Changbin, who aren’t completely fluent in English still tried hard to communicate with him, especially in the beginning, because he wasn’t fluent in Korean yet. It kind of shows how much the boys love him, and I love that.

His weird and sassy moments. I would argue he gets a little overshadowed sometimes in group stuff, because you have the loud ones and stuff, but he has plenty of his own moments, like him taking a bite of that banana with the skin on, or his little sassy faces.

Let Me Be Superficial For A Moment: HA, how can I pick. He is an extremely stunning human being. I think I may have to go with the common answer, though, and say his freckles. When they are fully out, it’s really makes his face so much more interesting.

Two Dynamics Of His That I Am Fond Of: These are all going to be extremely hard, I can already tell. Chan and Han. I just love the way he’s bonded with these two. I can’t explain it.

Australia Trip - Bang Chan x Reader *Fluff*

No warings; time: Finding SKZ Australia

I was tagging along on the Australia trip with my boyfriend Chan. Since I was Stray Kids' make up artist, JYP allowed me to. Also part of the reason he allowed it, was because I was a native Australian as well and since only Felix and Chris could speak English fluently, they needed someone else to translate. The nights before the trip, Chan stayed awake to prepare a program for the boys, which was really sweet. I was sitting in the Bus, cuddled into his chest, listening to all the things he had to say. The way his eyes lit up, every time he saw a familiar building, and his voice got all squeaky and happy, made me smile. He missed his hometown a lot during his survival program. After some time the boys got annoyed and ranted about how they were hungry. Before the groups of three stormed off to satisfy their cravings, I re-did their Make Up. They had to vlog their day and two camera men or women followed them, to get better shots. "You're gonna be alright?" My boyfriend laid an arm around my waist. "I'll take care of her, don't worry mate." The other Australian promised him. "Have fun!" I wished him and kissed his cheek, before walking off with Jeongin, Changbin and Felix. "I know just the place!" the blonde shouted and led us to a little Food bar. Since I was from Melbourne and had only been in Sidney a hand full of times, I was as lost as the others. After disputing some minutes, the boys decided on a so called "Snack Pack.". Since I was a vegetarian and not really hungry, I just ordered a salad. Trying their food, the boys shouted excited. "This tastes amazing! You have to try this Noona!" I.N handed me a fork. "I'd love to, but I'm a vegetarian." I laughed. Remembering he shook his head in embarrassment. "Do you know what Chan has planned next?" Changbin asked with his mouth full. "I do, but I won't tell you. It would ruin the surprise." In this moment I received a text from Chan. He sent a photo of Woojin, Minho and him eating burgers. I quickly snapped a picture of the four of us and sent it to him. "Channie Hyung is so protective of you." The youngest rolled his eyes. "It's because he loves Y/n so much. You'll understand once you found your person." Felix told him. "Lix Hyung acting all grown up." I made fun of the older one. "Someone got to take care." He grumbled fake annoyed. Getting back to the Bus, Chris greeted me with a kiss. "You taste like meat." I whisper-laughed. "Sorry, love." Once again I was cuddled up against the boy, that made me feel so special. "I'll give you a 3.5" Seungmin rated the trip. The boys laughed out loud, making fun of Chans pouty face. "I'll give you 10 out of 10?" I tried to cheer him up. Although he wasn't serious I knew it hurt him a little bit, hearing Seungmin saying things like that about his hometown. Arriving at a small park Chan stormed out of the bus, immediately laying down on the grass. He pulled me on top of him and hugged my waist. "You're too cute, Y/n." he grinned. God, the way he made me feel. I couldn't describe it with words. He made me feel like I was safe. He made me feel home. "I love you, Christopher." His eyes widened, as we had never said that before. I didn't care if he said it back. I just wanted him to know how I felt. "I love you too, Y/f/n." He slowly connected our lips and I felt him grinning into the kiss. My hands were playing with his hair, still not disconnecting our lips. His tongue slipped into my mouth, making me release a quiet moan. "You're a couple and we're all jealous, we get it!" Hyunjin interrupted the moment. "Can't you just shut up?" I shouted annoyed and fell onto the grass, next to Chris. I was happy we finally said it. I have felt like this for a while. Chan was the right person for me and nothing could make me doubt that. "Are you guys ready for dinner?" Chris shouted. Jeongin, who had way too much energy jumped up and down in excitement. The boys wanted to go back to the bus, but stopped when they noticed we weren't following them. I went in the back between Jisung and Changbin, who were constantly asking where we were going. Eventually we stopped in front if a white house. At this point, the boys could've figured out where we were going, but they were still clueless asking questions. Chan rang the bell and the door slightly opened. A beautiful woman greeted us excited. We all bowed in front of her and Chans dad. "You wanna come in?" His dad joked in the Rhythm of their song "Backdoor". When all the boys had entered Chan, took my hand and pulled me to his parents. "Mom, Dad, I would like to introduce Y/n, my girlfriend." Nervous I bowed, but his mom engulfed me in a tight hug. "Y/n, You are such a beautiful girl. Chris told us a lot about you. He seems so much happier, since he met you. Thank you so much for making our boy smile every day!" She welcomed me warm. I'm so happy to finally meet you Mr. and Mrs. Bang. Now I know where Chris got his good looks from." I answered flattered.         Chan kissed my cheek, before showing all of us around. I was walking in the back again, this time with his mom. I had to laugh at some funny and cute Baby Stories she told me about Chan. She had a whole room with trophies that Chan had received and posters of Stray Kids. She truly was his Number 1 Fan. Coming back downstairs, the boys sat down outside, while I helped Mrs. Bang with the drinks. Standing next to the sink, waiting until the carafes were filled, she asked me some questions. "So, how did you meet Chan?" It didn't take me a second to think about the moment I saw him first. "Actually we had two "first sights". I worked for YG, before I transferred to JYP. The day of the YG vs. JYP battle, I did YG's make up. My shift was finished already. I spied through an open door into the room. They were having the dance battle, and I immediately noticed him. The way he danced, the way he cared about his friends. He seemed so magical. The second time, we were at the JYP building. The boys had just debuted. I heard him and Felix shouting "Team Aussie", which made me come their way. I was new at JYP and wanted to make friends. I talked to them about how I saw them at YG. The next day he asked me out." I told her the whole story. "That is such a sweet story. I have to thank you again Y/n. I haven't seen my boy smile like that in Years. He is the happiest when he is with you." Hearing that made my heart race. Did I really have this effect on him. I tried to make him feel the best, when he's with me. "Chris is... oh god where do I start." I laughed, thinking of words. "Chris is the most amazing person I've ever met. He is caring and makes sure everyone is okay. He puts others before himself. He tries to cheer me up when I'm sad. He is like a brother for the boys. He practices with them until they can do it. He works late, and goes to work early. I have to remind him to sleep, to rest, so he won't faint during work. These boys have his heart, and I couldn't be luckier, to call myself "his girlfriend.". You have raised a wonderful Son, Mrs. Bang." Some tears were running down her cheek, and I could feel myself getting emotional as well. "You really love my Channie. And he loves you a lot as well. I know he is not perfect all the time. If he ever does something or hurts you, just tell me. I am his mother, I won't let him mess up this relationship, with a perfect girl. Feel free to call me any time, or visit. Even without Chris. The doors are always open for you, Y/n." Hearing my boyfriends mother saying these things to me, actually made me teer up. Sniffing I hugged her. "We should get going now." She laughed and wiped away her tears.                           Quickly we served the boys different drinks. All of them were surprised by how good the food tasted. They looked adorable, eating and laughing, talking about old stories. Chan just watched them, enjoying his homemade food. After dinner finished, he wanted to say a few things, to end the evening nicely. I stood next to him and hugged my waist. His head was buried in my hip and I was playing with his blond waves. "First off, thank you so much, Mom and Dad. The food was absolutely delicious. Secondly, the reason that I brought you guys, was that I wanted you to meet my family, since we are a family as well. I'm beyond thankful for every person on this table, especially my lovely girlfriend. Thank you for always staying by my side and loving me through my hardest times. I love you so much, Y/n." he finished. "I love you too, Chan. And man oh man, I did. Christopher Bang made me fall for him, hard.

Stray Kids Members on GO LIVE and Making the Music They Want to Make

There's bedlam in the kitchen, as K-pop disruptors Stray Kids wreak delicious havoc on a sterile commercial space. They dance around wildly, waving stainless steel pots and pans in the air and tossing freshly pressed napkins and imaginary ingredients with relish and abandon. In the forefront, fiery rapper Changbin serves up his own potent sauce with a pummeling verse, while dancer Lee Know attempts to stir fry a handful of what appear to be rose petals behind him. A marching band, their plumes high and faces unbothered, carries on amidst the mess — a visual manifestation of the heavy bass ostinato that immediately invades the senses. It sounds disorienting, maybe even slightly dangerous. It looks like chaos.

Welcome to "God's Menu" ("神메뉴").

The Korean boy group's latest single boasts a big, brassy hook laced with trap beats and an addicting refrain ("this is our tang, tang, tang, tang," they shout), a recipe that has become their signature dish. A sonic successor to last fall's explosive "Double Knot," the track teems with a tireless energy and their hallmark bravado. The video imagines the eight members as chefs who confidently concoct their own art from scratch. "Taste so good, everyone loves it," Han raps, in a mix of Korean and English. "All our dishes taste so strong."

The culinary metaphor is laid on thick, bolstered by a charismatic performance that includes Korean formalities like "네, 손님" (which translates to "yes, sir and ma'am" in English) and TikTok-certified choreography that incorporates mixing, frying, seasoning, and, most notably, chopping. But for a group that's been cooking up homemade beats and flavorful lyrics in their bedrooms long before their 2018 debut, it's a savory declaration that feels more than earned. "We just keep on making new things," leader Bang Chan sings, cleansing the palate with a sweet melody. "Because we're one of a kind."

They bring that same level of confidence and clarity to their first full-length album Go生, a title that combines the English word "go" with the Chinese character for "life" and showcases the group's penchant for clever wordplay. Pronounced go-saeng in Korean, it translates to "hardship." The English title, GO LIVE, reflects their desire to move forward without any lingering inhibition. Consider the 14-track LP a reintroduction to Stray Kids.

"We tried to not think too much," Bang Chan tells Teen Vogue from Seoul, South Korea, where he's currently huddled in a room with members Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N. It's late June, and they're in the middle of their first week of promotions for the album, which means early mornings, long nights, and a whirlwind of music show performances, interviews, radio shows, and virtual fan engagements. And yet, even as it nears midnight, the members, ranging in ages from 19 to 22, are still easily excitable. Australia-raised Bang Chan acts as the group's tireless translator, and despite recent concerns, his accent sounds as prominent as ever as he explains how Stray Kids adopted a fresh mindset in preparation for Go生. "Of course, we thought a lot about what to put in the album and how we wanted to make it, but we went with the flow," he says. "We wanted everything to feel a bit more raw."

Stray Kids made their official debut under JYP Entertainment with the riotous and self-produced "District 9," an angsty blend of hip-hop and EDM that would ultimately define the group's characteristic intensity, both musically and lyrically. It laid the foundation for 2018's I Am… trilogy of EPs, which focused heavily on the theme of identity as they charged away from systems that sought to control them. The Clé series followed in 2019, which threw Stray Kids head-first into the thorny, often exhausting labyrinth of adulthood. Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han, who comprise the group's in-house production trio, known as 3RACHA, write about their own experiences, etching their personal dreams and worries into a diverse discography that spans six EPs, multiple mixtape singles, and special releases. But with Go生, they've emerged with newfound perspective.

For years, their music was fixated on the idea of bulldozing through obstacles that stood in their way. They wanted to outrun their problems. Now, it's clear: Growing up isn't about overcoming anxieties and struggles. Instead, it's learning to live in spite of them — to run freely alongside them.

As a result, Go生 is a release bursting with color and vitality, a celebration of life's mercurial nature. There's a song for every craving, and a tracklist that demonstrates the members' prismatic talents as rappers and vocalists. "Easy" delivers boundless swagger over a trap beat (and it's already been immortalized on stan Twitter); "Airplane" is Stray Kids at their most relaxed, a chill summertime vibe that's also a tremendous showcase for singer Seungmin; main rapper and all-rounder Han lets his voice soar on "Phobia," an electronic-synth track that examines the paranoia of losing someone (it was also the final song added to the album); "TA" is all high energy and thunderous chaos, perfect for a future encore set; and "Blueprint" shines with its funky bass line, bright verses, and fierce optimism ("I'll proudly achieve my dream," Felix sings in Korean, as translated to English).

"We wanted to show what Stray Kids is really about," Bang Chan says. And in doing so, Felix adds, they "experimented with a variety of genres." The fellow Aussie, who Bang Chan affectionately calls his little brother and who fans (known as Stay) refer to as their "sunshine," speaks with a warm timbre. His flow is even deeper and more distinct, and it's been a solid entry point for Stay and locals alike. Felix is a commanding presence on "God's Menu," a testament to his growth as a rapper and performer. When asked about his five-star performance, he gets shy. "I think everyone put their all into this song and into the album," he says. "Sit down, be humble," Bang Chan jokingly sings beside him, a reference to Kendrick Lamar's 2017 manifesto "Humble" and a demonstration of the leader's persistent playfulness.

"We've all improved a lot in terms of our performance," dance captain Lee Know says, much to the surprise of his members. It's not that they don't agree, it's just that his eager contribution to the conversation catches them off guard. He's not always so talkative during press interviews. And there's an audible cheer among the group as he continues. "Our dancing has gotten stronger. Our vocals have gotten stronger as well. But we're still honing those skills. And we'll continue to grow."

Hyunjin, whose own development as a rapper, dancer, and vocalist with a mellifluous falsetto is well-documented on the internet, agrees. "As we get older, we want to show Stay more sides to us," he says. The lithe performer's strength is his versatility. He's highly adaptable, so it's not surprising that he's been working on writing and composing his own music under Bang Chan's watchful guidance. "I want to show [Stay] something different," he adds. (And that's a promise he intends to keep.)

Youngest member I.N thinks they're maturing in other ways too. "We've all gotten a lot more good-looking," the lively vocalist says, very matter-of-factly. Laughter erupts in the room, and Changbin's cackle is unmistakable. Undeterred, I.N carries on. "When it comes to performance, I've personally gotten a lot faster at recording and memorizing choreography," he says. Lee Know is quick to jump in. "I.N's performance in 'TOP' really surprised me," the elder says. "He's in the center position for the hook, and watching him I saw just how much he's improved. He's more confident now."

I.N is happy he gave off such an aura. "When we were preparing for this album there were times when I didn't feel so confident," he says. So he turned to his members, who listened to his concerns and offered him feedback. He feels much lighter now. "One thing I realized after watching our 'God's Menu' stages is that we all look like we're enjoying ourselves more. We feel more free on stage. And it just feels easier."

The album's most surprising and reflective moment comes at the halfway point, courtesy of Han. Written by the teen multihyphenate, "Another Day" is soft and simple, but no less introspective than his previous cuts ("19" and "Sunshine"). It depicts a feeling of restlessness caused by burnout and the inability to "rest without worrying."

Han's inspiration for the song was largely himself. "It's been a tough year, and I knew it wasn't just me who felt that way," he says. "So I wanted to put those emotions into the song."

In front of the camera, Han exudes relentless charisma. He's quick-witted and wickedly funny. Off stage, he's one of the group's two MBTI-approved introverts (the other being Hyunjin), and he prefers to relax in a controlled environment: his room. In fact, if he doesn't have a schedule or a song to work on, he'd prefer not to leave his bed at all, choosing instead to watch YouTube and anime on his phone. As someone who's deeply inspired by visual mediums, it's in these calmer moments where creativity often strikes.

"Everyone goes through times where things don't work out the way you want them to," he says. "But I think it's important to remember that while you're going through a difficult time, you need to take a breath. Go do something for yourself … Break out of that negative mindset and open yourself up to new possibilities."

Each of the members has their own way of dealing with feelings of stress and anxiety. Changbin works on music. "It's my healing," he says. And he hopes it can be healing for Stay too; he teaches fans the basics of rap during semi-regular streams on V Live. Lee Know prefers to do nothing at all. This is why the members often say the self-assured performer is like water — whatever is bothering him just washes away by morning. But I.N needs time away from the older members. ("Leave me alone!" oldest member Bang Chan whines, mimicking the moody teen.) Hyunjin finds comfort in sentimental music and Korean dramas, and he's especially adept at communicating with fans on Instagram and V Live, where he addresses their worries and offers support in both Korean and English. "That heals my heart," he adds softly. Felix has taken up cooking and baking, even going so far as to buy an oven for their shared apartment's kitchen. His brownies are already beloved by the members and JYP staff. "Making something for someone and getting to share what I make… even a small compliment will make me feel relaxed and good about myself," he says.

Meanwhile, Bang Chan has a bad habit of "brainwashing myself into thinking that I'm not restless when I actually am." So he relies on the members, or "the kids" as he calls them, to help keep him in check. "Our first week of promotions was really tiring, but when I look on stage and see them — see Hyunjin, Changbin, Lee Know, see them all — it gives me a lot of strength. They make me feel at home." (The kids coo in jest beside him. "That's right!" Han shouts.)

Seungmin doesn't often feel anxious, but when he does there's nothing that a long walk and a good playlist can't fix. Lately, he's been listening to "Another Day." "Han surprised me [with this song]," the dynamic vocalist says. "I listen to it often, and it has inspired me a lot." Han, never one to pass up a compliment, replies, "Thanks, man."

While 3RACHA are largely responsible for crafting Stray Kids' music, the members are all integral to the process. "It's not 3RACHA's music, it's Stray Kids' music," Changbin says in English. "So the members' feedback is very important. I feel the best when they like it."

Case in point: "God's Menu." The group had originally recorded a different lead single, and they were in the throes of comeback preparations when Changbin played a demo of "God's Menu" for some of the members. According to Bang Chan, this happens a lot: "We go home, we play a demo, and we party to it." It's as simple as that. But then something unusual happened: Upon hearing "God's Menu," Hyunjin immediately knew he wanted to perform it. This was Stray Kids. The other members felt it too. "The lyrics expressed our music and confidence best," Changbin says in English, as his members cheer him on. ("Go, Changbin!" Bang Chan encourages.) "It's a song only Stray Kids could perform.”

And it was a theme that personally resonated with Bang Chan. "Back in the day, when we were releasing songs as 3RACHA, I always liked to relate my producing process with cooking and science," he adds. "It's just a really fun concept." (Astute fans might recall the 2017 3RACHA deep cut "Alchemistry," in which the industrious leader declares himself a "mad scientist.")

So 3RACHA went straight to the top — to the company's founder J. Y. Park — and asked if they could change the single to "God's Menu." They didn't expect much; the single had already been locked. To their surprise, however, JYP agreed with their judgement. And so have Stay: "God's Menu" is the group's fastest music video to reach 60 million views, and Go生 broke their previous first-week sales record.

"It's a really funny and very warm feeling knowing that he believes in what we do," Bang Chan says of JYP's support. "And it makes us want to try out even more of our various ideas."

Producer Mike Daley (Baekhyun's "Candy") experienced 3RACHA's creative process and various ideas first-hand in Los Angeles last May when Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han spent a day with him in the studio following the U.S. leg of the group's Unveil tour. They worked on two tracks, one of which would eventually become "Easy." Daley played an unfinished demo for the trio, and the reaction was immediate. "A few of the guys just started rapping," he tells Teen Vogue. Bang Chan workshopped the hook and melodies with a few of Daley's friends and collaborators, while Changbin and Han wrote the verses. "Spear [Changbin] and Han were in their own zone on their phones, writing," he recalls. According to Daley, Spear — a reference to Changbin's 3RACHA moniker SpearB — laid down the first verse, and the atmosphere was electric. "He was going crazy in the booth," he says. "It had a ton of energy. And that got everyone amped up to make the hook have as much energy as the verses were bringing."

Daley, a veteran of K-pop songwriting camps, was surprised by just how involved 3RACHA were in the studio. "They knew how to produce really well, so we were all arranging it together," he says. He also observed their teamwork. "It seemed like they each had their role and worked together well," he adds. "Spear and Han were focused on the verses, but when they heard a melody they liked, they'd look at Chris [Bang Chan]. They knew how to get the song done."

And that sense of creative autonomy isn't just exclusive to 3RACHA. Through self-produced digital projects like "SKZ-PLAYER," all of the members are encouraged to express themselves through their art. "It's a really good platform for us to showcase what we want to show Stay, something that they haven't seen before," Bang Chan says. In May, he surprised fans with "인정하기 싫어," which translates to "Don't Want To Admit," a vulnerable piano ballad that laid bare his heartache. Last year, Lee Know released "Dawn," a slinky dance performance he choreographed himself. Seungmin covered his favorite band, and fellow JYP artists, DAY6. "I am very grateful that we are able to sincerely connect with Stay through music," the floppy-haired vocalist notes. As for Changbin, he recently dropped "Streetlight," a solo track in which he wrestles with feelings of loneliness. And Hyunjin released his own video — a contemporary dance he produced and choreographed to Billie Eilish's "When The Party's Over." He titled it "Empty."

"I wanted to express a different feeling, one that I couldn't show through our own performances," the perceptive dancer says. He choreographed the piece to convey his longing to perform. That loneliness that comes at the end of a party, he says, is the same emptiness he feels when he leaves the stage. "That void I feel sometimes, I wanted to express that through choreography."

Han's "Close" was inspired by the 2004 film Closer, specifically its opening scene, in which a young woman locks eyes with a handsome stranger across the street. The idea of human connection, of seeing someone and wanting to know everything about that person, struck Han, especially at a time when people feel farther apart than ever. But it was too raw to share. "I didn't originally want to release 'Close.' I wanted to keep it to myself," he says. "But after showing it to the members, they encouraged me, and that motivated me to share it."

And they continue to share their artistry with Stay. Fans are getting an intimate look at the members' songwriting and melody-making prowess in "Two Kids Song," a web series that splits them into pairs and challenges each team to write, produce, and record an original song. For Stray Kids, the desire to keep learning and pushing themselves — as songwriters, as performers, and as young adults navigating the world around them — both inside and outside of the practice room, comes naturally. "We're artists," Bang Chan says. "It's right for us to express whatever we want through our creative process."

However, with unfiltered access also comes moments of real humility, a reminder that the relationship between idols and the community they foster isn't defined in scenes of uncritical loyalty and fan service, but rather in instances where they hold one another accountable. In a June livestream, Bang Chan reminded fans, "I don't want you guys to spread negative energy around. Stays, you guys are better than that." That sentiment was recently reciprocated when the group participated in a July variety show segment that many Black fans deemed racially insensitive. Stray Kids apologized in a personal statement posted to the members' shared Instagram account, in which they rejected all types of discrimination with a promise to do better by their fans everywhere around the world. "We are still lacking in many things and we are trying our hardest to become better," they wrote in Korean and English. "We would like to apologize to anyone if we have stepped on a rake. It was never our intention but due to our lack of understanding."

It's this honesty that resonates most with their fans. It's woven into heartfelt lyrics, tearful ending ments, social media posts, virtual hugs, home-cooked meals, and earnest reminders to deal with — not run away from — things that are difficult. It is the lens through which Stray Kids see themselves: never perfect, but always sincere. Mainly, it's how they expel their innermost thoughts and feelings, the joy and the agony of everyday life. Whether that's by working on music, or choreography, or refining a new dish, or bettering themselves, that's ultimately up for them to decide. It always has been. Their appetites are insatiable, after all. "The fact that we have the chance to make the music we want to make and talk about the things we want to talk about is really special," Changbin says. "It makes me more excited for what's next."

A day after talking to Teen Vogue, Bang Chan, Changbin, and Han set the KCON:TACT stage ablaze with an opening performance that showed the world just how hungry they are. “They always say the same excuses, while they’re complaining we’re producing," Bang Chan sings, the Auto-Tune heavy. "The passion I give it, nobody can kill." It's a bold statement for any group to make, especially one as young as Stray Kids. And yet, it's that measure of determination that's defined their careers since they were teens trapped on a hellevator with nowhere to go but up. One day they'll reach the penthouse. For now, they're learning to savor the ride and embrace the mess.

"We're going to enjoy this freedom," Bang Chan says, "and eventually we'll fly high."

At the start of the year, I read a fortune telling column on some magazine, that I’ll have a new encounter during the latter half of the year. The new counter in the latter half of 2019 was with Stray Kids, and the fortune telling was true. The shock I had when I first saw Stray Kids. Their fluid but powerful dancing, vocals that captured anyone who listened to them, and their rap performance as goo as any hip hop artist. Anyone who sees their stage will for sure be captivated by them. For the first time, Stray Kids have appeared solo on a Japanese magazine, and on the cover of NYLON guys. After their debut in Korea in 2018, they quickly went on a very successful world tour, showcasing their popularity and significance not only within Asia but all over the world. They have finally announced their long awaited Japanese debut in March of 2020. As for a boy group which is world based, this might be something normal. We will introduce Stray Kids who will surely become the icon of all boys group, through their fortune tellings and special photoshoot by NYLON JAPAN.

In the cold and brisk breeze, reminding me of winter’s arrival, I met Stray Kids in Seoul, Korea. They entered the set still looking sleepy. During the waiting times, they played with the cats on set, or teased each other, showing the natural sides of the group, the average age of the members being 19 years old. Different to the powerful faces they have on stage, another reason as to why they are popular. A little different to their normal styles, with the colourful outfits and ennui concept. Feel their first story through NYLON JAPAN.

Q. Firstly, please tell us how you feel about today’s shoot.

Bang Chan: As it is our first appearance on NYLON JAPAN, we are very honoured just by that. It has created a new precious memory for me. 

Lee Know: Today’s set is a famous shooting area! I have always wanted to come here, so I am very happy to be here on such wonderful opportunity.

Changbin: It is a derelict amusement park, and it was great to be able to shoot in the unique atmosphere. I was able to have fun by feeling like I was back in my childhood.

Hyunjin: From the styling, it had a different feeling to our other photoshoots. Personally, I had a lot of fun as the costumes were different to usual styles. 

Han: It’s been a while since we had a location shooting! As it is surrounded by mountains and trees, the air was good and I had a great time from the morning. 

Felix: As we began filming from the morning, I felt refreshed and because we were with the members, I had a great time!

Seungmin: I have actually seen a Japanese photo book before, and it was interesting because I was wearing something similar as to what the model was wearing in the photo book. There were many cats in the set, and it was really funny to see Lee Know taking care of the cats because he seemed like a butler.

I.N.: The shoot was fun, but because I heard it was the ruins of an old amusement park, I was a little scared at first. However, the air was nice and I was able to shoot with a good feeling. 

Q. You wore outfits with a lot of colours today, but do you have any styles you are liking recently?

BC: Always black! I think its my colour. All black fashion, I usually like to wear monotone looks. 

LK: I actually am not really interested in fashion... I used to think about it before, but these days I like to wear whatever is most comfortable.

CB: As winter is approaching, I want to wear things that make me seem softer, or things that are large and relaxed styles. 

HJ: I usually wear cute sweats, hoodie t-shirts, and big sweatpants so I think I’ll like to wear warmer things for the winter. 

FX: Its getting quite cold recently, so I like wearing a fur hood outer these days! I like to feel the warmth from my outers. 

HN: I don’t really prefer any fashion styles, but my style is quite showy compared to the others. The costume I wore today was colourful and I liked it, I want to keep trying lots of styles.

SM: I often like to wear long padding downs, long coats, trench coats, and long outers in general. Coats that go to my knees are warm and I like them. I was happy because my costume for today was a long coast as well. Its my style!

IN: I’m interested in street fashion these days, I used to like clothes that fitted my body, these days I like wearing wide pants, kind of like a newtro (new and retro) style.

Q. What is your favourite (pop) culture?

BC: I have always liked games, but recently, I’ve been busy and haven’t been able to do it much. But whenever I have a little time, I always want to do it... its a stress reliever for me!

LK: I watch a lot of films. Recently, I watched a film released in 2003 called “A Tale of Two Sisters” with Han. It was a horror film, but it was really great!

CB: I’m into music and YouTube. I’ve been listening to senior Kpop artists such as TVXQ and Super Junior, groups I was into when I was younger. On YouTube, I watch funny contents with fresh ideas.

HJ: I’m really into an artist called “Leellamarz” these days, I’ve only been listening to them. I have always been the type to only focus on one thing when I’m into it. 

HN: I like band music, so I’ve been listening to “One Ok Rock”, and recently, I’ve been listening to an English band called “Young Blood”. It’s great.

SM: Listening to band music is a hobby of mine. After listening to DAY6 senior’s songs, I listen to a lot of rock bands these days. It’s great fun to listen to the vocals, keyboard, and bass individually. I don’t know many bands so I’m still learning. The band I began to like recently is “Green Day”. I think their music is fun and good. (Bang Chan began to sing Green Day) If I’m ever going to play any instruments, I want to try the melody parts like the guitar, keyboard, or piano!

IN: Rather than watching movies, I like reading reviews other people wrote. I like to compare my own thoughts to how other people found it. I look for many reviews and enjoy reading them.

Q. Then we’ll move onto questions about music. Unlike other groups, Stray Kids can self produce their songs which is a strength, but is there anything you pay attention to or focus on?

BC: We create our own songs and weave it into the concept, making a performance. And, I think it is the most important part about self producing is to definitely put our message into our songs. We believe it is our strength to be able to tell our message from the bottom of our hearts, and Stray Kids cannot exist without that, which is our self producing. 

HN: As Bang Chan said, we like to make songs that our fans can understand, but what we focus on is having others relate to us. We try to incorporate all the feelings, anxiety, and experiences that people our age might feel into our lyrics, and we really try to have other people relate to us. 

Q. What do you think are the problems of the people in their 10′s have?

HN: There are a lot of young people now that don’t know what to do with themselves now, right? They are facing who they are on the insides, but they aren’t sure. So, I focus on putting in the feelings of not knowing what to do, or not knowing which way is the right way in the lyrics.

Q. Next, I’ll ask a question your beauty. Please tell us the secrets on how you stay good looking all the time

HN: Honestly... I was born good looking so... hahaha! There isn’t anything. Next, fashionista Changbin!

CB: I think its better if you don’t stress if you want a nice or gentle look. Its important to think positively all the time!

BC: To take in nutritional food once every day! There’s no point if your body isn’t healthy!

SM: Rather than being good looking, I think it is important to keep in mind the feelings I had towards music when I started as a Stray Kids member. A straightforward heart!

FX: When I’m on stage playing with the members or performing, or when I am communicating with the fans, I think thats when we look the best.

HJ: Isn’t how good we look on stage the true style for us? Even when we make a little mistake during practise, we practise until we go on stage and make sure the outcome is a 100%. We can accomplish that because we try that hard. We heighten ourselves to the best version of ourselves, and as professionals, we showcase the perfect version on stage. I believe that is how Stray Kids maintain our good looks, 

LK: I used to go on diets and care about how I look on the outside, but now I’m focusing on who I am, trying to face my own heart. 

IN: Who I am on camera and off camera, me on stage and off stage, I try to make sure its all the same me. My definition of good looking is whoever that can be truly who they are, wherever they are. I always try to maintain that mindset!

Q. Okay, so how you maintain your good looks differs. How about a easier question now - please tell us anything that you specifically focus on in terms of eating habits

HJ: I always make sure if there are no eggplants in my meals! I really don’t like eggplants. The members always try to make me eat eggplants, so sometimes I eat them without noticing. 

BC: There is something that I specifically focus on. It’s table manners. To not make noise when I’m eating, if I blow my nose I make sure I won’t trouble the people around me. It’s also important to chew a lot during meals, so I try to chew a lot.

SM: I don’t eat dinner the day before a shoot. Instead, I eat everything I want to eat for breakfast and lunch! I’m the type to lose weight if I don’t eat, so I make sure of how much I eat the day before. 

HN: On off days, there are days where I don’t eat properly, but I have decided to eat something I really want to eat deliciously once a day! Within the group, I don’t have a lot of likes and dislikes, and I think I eat a lot. Even if I bloat the next day, there’s no point if I have no strength! Really, its an excuse though haha.

FX: I’m starting to like eating spicy foods! But, when I eat spicy foods, my body doesn’t handle it too well. I get stomach aches. Days before I have schedules, I refrain from eating spicy foods.

IN: I don’t snack at night! I really bloat easily.

Members: Han is a night snacker, so I.N. always says he’s envious of him!

IN: When I began snacking at night, I can’t stop. I eat the next night too... I can’t stop myself. So I made a promise with myself to stop. I allow myself to snack at night about twice a month!

BC: I try not to snack at night, but I usually can’t help myself and end up eating.

LK: To work out, I’ve been taking a lot of protein lately. I eat whatever I want to eat and take in proteins. I heard about green tea diet before and I was drinking Green Tea frappuccino but it was no use... But, salad and hamburger is good for dieting. Because its filled with carbs, proteins and vitamins, right?

Members: That’s Lee Know’s excuse!

CB: I should take care of what I eat, but I don’t. There is one thing I do focus on, though. I don’t eat cold food and cold drinks. Cold food isn’t good for the body... But, if there are only cold food, I warm it up in my mouth before I drink it in. It’s good for digestion too.

Q. The key content for this month is “fortune telling”, but have any of you had your fortune told before?

LK, HN, IN: We have!

Nylon: Did you believe the results from those fortune tellings?

IN: I was told 2015 won’t be a good year, but 2016 will be better...

HN: At that time, I.N. and I were part of a project. We went to a fortune telling together, and we were told “August will not be a great month” and August was really crazy. I was scolded all the time! Even the smallest things I was scolded for... I should only look at the positive things from a fortune telling, haha!

LK: I was told that my luck will go up when I’m around 30... 

Members: Hahaha! How many more years do you have to wait?

IN: I actually don’t believe in fortune tellings. My parents went to a fortune teller before, and the fortune teller told them their son will either become a judge or a prosecutor. Thats why I didn’t believe in it... but, when I went with Han when I was a trainee, I thought fortune tellings are quite nice, so now I believe in half of it? 

Q. A lot of the readers of NYLON JAPAN are people who treasure their individuality. Please give an advice or message to those who have dreams and ambitions. 

IN: Don’t care about what other’s say about your individuality, and work on your own pace!

BC: There probably are people around you that accept your individuality, and people who relates to you and became your friends. I think it is important to be able to push on for what you enjoy. 

HN: I want the people to talk about how happy and blessed they are. Even having a dream is a big part of happiness. I hope your dreams will come true!

Q. The theme for NYLON JAPAN’s 15th anniversary is “NEW POWER NO BORDER”, but is there anything of this that you relate to?

FX: NEW POWER NO BORDER! (in his native accent)

BC: We always say our greeting by saying “STEP OUT!”. This “step out” means “stepping out of the borders”. With our own style, and our own music, we want to step out of the borders! This “Border” means “border” right? That’s something I relate to. 

Q. What do you want to tell the youths?

HN: There are people with dreams and people without dreams. Those who have dreams may stumble at some moments, and hard times may come along. But, if you can get over those hard times, your dreams will definitely be accomplished. For those who do not have dreams, don’t worry and look at who you are carefully. It’s not late when you find interest in something new, and I hope you’d be able to have some space for that in your heart. “Those who are talented cannot surpass those who try, and those who try cannot surpass those who have fun.” Even at the hardest times, trying your best won’t backstab you, and whatever you are doing, having fun is the best. I really want to tell them those words!

BC: It’s a little simple, but “Just enjoy!” Even at difficult situations, I think the winners are those who stay laughing. If you can have fun, good times will come. You’re still young, and life is long so “carpe diem” !

IN: Even if you can’t see the future, don’t worry about not being able to see, and it’ll be good if you focus on where you are now. 

Members: Those are words for us too

Q. Within your busy schedules, what stimulates you?

LK: This is obvious, but STAY’s are a biggest motivation! This is a fact!

BC: We’re really busy and there are so many things to get done, but interestingly, when I’m talking to the members, I think “maybe the future is bright?”. I feel like I don’t have to worry. The members help me. The existence of a group is good for the energy too. We can take care of each other and stimulate each other!

Q. I didn’t think you’d enjoy this as much. Now, the interview has come to an end. Lastly, you announced your Japan debut! Please tell us how you are feeling about your Japan debut

BC: It has been about a year and a half since we debuted as Stray Kids in Korea, but we are “debuting again” in Japan, which is a new feeling. Everything is new and exciting! We really can’t wait for our Japan debut! We’re all very motivated! Fighting!
