Oh man, yeah Vincente Minelli had so many fun films didn't he? But hahaha it was just a passing flash I had when seeing your musings about how Spock gets all horrified and protective when he sees Bones being forcibly tempered despite making comments in that vein himself—for it to actually work, I'd have to sit there and think about how to make the setting and scenario fit the characters better 😭😭

That being said! I'm thinking that the broad strokes of a Spones Gigi-esque AU might go something like this:

Spock, the young scion of a wealthy, famous family and the most eligible bachelor in Shi'Kahr, meets McCoy, fresh out of med school and doing his residency on Vulcan, and they become fast friends

Spock is dealing with various pressures from his family and wider Vulcan society, while McCoy is dealing with culture shock and feeling isolated and lonely on a new planet, and both of them find refuge in each other + find someone with which they can just be themselves

But then, some sort of scandal/something** occurs which would prevent Spock from continuing to spend time with McCoy, who he realizes he's falling in love with, so to get around that, he proposes that they start a public relationship in some form

McCoy is reluctant, but eventually agrees because he doesn't want to be without Spock either, even if it means that he's going to have to accompany Spock in public while following a strict set of uncomfortable social rules

But then when Spock's out there, presenting McCoy to Vulcan high society, he is disturbed by how subdued and obedient McCoy is forced to act while being paraded in front of these aristocrats who praise Spock for his choice of new toy, and he consequently grabs McCoy and storms out of there heedless of what anyone has to say

Then they go off to have their relationship on their own terms, becoming mates and living happily ever after. The end 💙

**I'm a little fuzzy on what this scandal could be. Maybe it could be pon farr-related—I'm thinking like, Spock wants to/accidentally did spend his first pon farr with Bones, which creates a huge issue with T'Pring's family due to the still-existing engagement. Unfortunately Spock's family really doesn't want him to just break the engagement off, because it's a key element of an important political alliance between their families, so he's given an ultimatum to either take Bones on as like, a concubine/escort, or else never see him again to avoid causing any more trouble. It takes Spock seeing Bones miserable to stand up to his family's expectations and break off the engagement/brave getting disowned to be with Bones in a way that actually makes them both happy.

Alternatively, I could make this an omegaverse AU of some sort...or perhaps try my hand at one of them "pre-reform" AUs with complicated social rules and power dynamics that could be used to form the main conflict...

...As you can see, there's a lot of specific details that still need to be hashed out 😅 ...smh now you're tempting me into working on something like this when I've still got other things on my plate 😔😔

(Side note: Obviously this would be a fic, not a musical, but can you imagine Gigi!Bones singing his version of "The Parisans", except it's like, "🎵 I don't understand the Vulcans / Thinking logic's so miraculous and grand / But they rave about it / And won't live without it 🎵" XD)

Helloooo popping in to say I love your art! It’s cute and feels soft (reminds me of when you’ve got a really smooth pencil and it just ghosts across the paper) but your poses and anatomy also give it a good feeling of realism :D

I really enjoy comics!! I like poking thru graphic novels and webcomics, so I've fallen into the habit of exposing myself to lots of different styles over time that I'm fairly explorative with my art. It gives me a lot to study, especially since different artists have different strengths and preferences

I also think of myself as a simple person, so I'm not strongly attached to anything in particular... I notice a lot of artists find their ground in certain interests or aesthetics. But since I'm not really like that, I try to put a bit of myself in whatever I draw to connect with my art better. Its probably why I like taking creative liberty when making fanart lol

im also drawn to indie creative work like games and animation! they tend to be extremely varied and unique from each other, which is great since I work from my own sense of curiosity. I also hate repetition, so having things that set themselves apart visually or otherwise is something I like to look for.

I mentioned in another post how Xander max and gigi can’t be left alone bc something ALWAYS happens, so here is the fic I made for just that!

Grayson takes a sip of his wine, glad that the dinner party is almost over. Him, Jameson, Nash, Avery, Libby, and Savannah were all invited to a “special” dinner party, and with all the drama surrounding us lately, Alisa made us go, leaving Gigi, Max and Xander at home. I’m mid chewing a perfectly cooked steak when Xander calls. “Excuse me for just one moment.” He said, getting up and walking towards the doorway. “Hello?” He says, answering the phone.

“Hellohihowsthedinnerpartygoing.” A nervous gigi speedily responds. I frown.

“It’s good. Is everything okay?” He asks, growing suspicion. “As okay as everything okay would ever be okay!” I hear Xander yell in the distance. My frown deepens as my suspicion grows.

“Gigi, what happened.” I demand. “Well, there was a situation with the microw-“ She says, getting cut off by the sound of smashes and glass clattering. My eyes widen. “Xander?” I yell into the phone. No response. I try again. “Max?” He said.

“Everything is perfectly fine! This microwave is just in need of a beating.” Max yells, before he hears another smashing sound. I grimace, before levelling my face into cool neutral anger.

“What the hells going on?” He demands.

“Me, max, and Xander all wanted to try and make a robot together. We all did pretty good, but we needed a bit of heat to turn it on, and I figured a microwave would be the perfect place to start.” Gigi said casually. Grayson could physically feel the years being taken away from his life.

“You figured a microwave would be the perfect place to put a robot?” He shouts. Gigi snorts.

“Okay, I can see now how it might have been a bad idea. But to be fair, you’re dirty rich. Can’t you just buy another microwave?” Gigi asks. All anger at this point has been placed by pure annoyance. Grayson drags a hand down the side of his face.

“That’s not the point! The point is, you could have gotten blown up. Or the whole kitchen could have been lit on fire! What were you thinking?” He demands.

Xander snorts. “That maybe you shouldn’t have let the idiot brigade stay home alone?” He jokingly asks. “My mistake.” Grayson says in deadpan. He hears another smashing sound in the distance.

“Is the microwave still on fire?” He worriedly asks.

“Nope!” Came max’s voice. “This is just very therapeutic!” She says cheerfully.

“Max.” He said, using his most stern Grayson Hawthorne tone, the one that said I mean it. “Put down the bat. Now.” Xander and gigi both made ooooh noises.

“Brrr. Fine, Elsa.” Max begrudgingly said. He heard a small clattering sound, and was sure she had dropped the bat.

“You do realize that Alisa is going to kill you all, right?” I ask them, a smirk plain on my face. There’s silence between them, before max speaks up. “Well, better that than the microwave.” She says, trying to be cheerful.

“No it’s not.” Grayson says.

“Yeah, you’re right.”
