Hiii I was just thinking about how we don’t get to see Rye and Simone interact and I couldn’t decide whether I thought they would get along and he would encourage her acting out since he probably related to her a lot with being treated as lesser than by the family and to piss off Dodd or whether he would chastise her like the others do as an attempt to emphasize his higher status in the family compared to her with him being Otto’s son and male and all that and then I thought I bet tumblr user gerhardtz has thoughts about this !
YESSS YESYEYSYEYSYES I HAVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS SOOOO MUCH !!!!! their dynamic is sooo interesting to me, i've genuinely ranted to one of my irls for 30 minutes straight about them LMAO
i personally like to think that they were quite close and that he encourages her acting out, mostly because i see a lot of parallels between them in the way they act so it's clear he's had a pretty big influence on her. re: they both do cocaine before a delicate and important discussion and then proceed to fumble it COMPLETELY. among other things. like uncle like niece. also given the way dodd treats him, i'm sure he takes great joy in seeing him freak out over the shit they get up to LMAO
i also don't think he'd pass up the opportunity to actually have, like, a family member who he can relate to. so i doubt he'd try to put her down to bring himself up when he made it pretty clear in his opening scene that he doesn't see himself as deserving of praise. plus i doubt simone would hang out with him if he treated her badly – if they talk enough for floyd to know he tells her things he doesnt tell the rest of the family, it's safe to assume she at least tolerated him lol. one thing that briefly made me reconsider was the way she didn't seem to care when mike said rye might be "gone for good", but i pretty much chalked that up to her a) being high and b) not wanting to think about that but also not wanting to be vulnerable, so resorting to pretending not to care.
i like to think i'm pretty well versed on rye as a character ??? i know he's only got like 20 minutes of screen-time but from context clues in the way his family talk about him + the way he was framed in episode 1, i actually managed to write an academic essay on the guy haha. i think that maybe qualifies me to ryepost as much as i do. maybe. or i'm delusional and making shit up. either way i like him and i like simone and i think they're buddies :>

I've had this idea for so long that I'm just going to barf it out on here because ive made ocs for this specific concept that is so fucking indulgent that imma just blurg it out.

Giants and Dragons. Now, this combination of creatures have always interest me since (well besides witches and maybe even fae) dragons and giants are pretty well known in fairytales and maybe this is just me but, i don't know any fairytale or myth that they ever interact with each other. Which understandable, totally different species. BUT. WHAT IF. THEY CAN? Both are essentially bad guys/ monsters in legends and even seen as forces as nature in others. They have some similarities to each other that im surprised that there hasn't been a story or anything with a giant and dragon interacting (if there is i am so sorry, i wrote this because i wanted to gush about dynamics between two mythological creatures that i enjoy a lot) A scenario that's been in my head for a while about a dragon and a giant meeting each other slowly over time getting use to their company sharing their thoughts on the smaller mortals that they share the world with. Both having varying different views on humans either due to prior experience or observation. They both know that humans and other smaller beings fear them and want to drive them away or kill them but, they find comfort in each other knowing that they aren't monsters. They can control how they are but, at least they have each other. The two also keep each other company with the dragon resting on the giants shoulder when they don't feel like flying and their giant friend teasing them saying that they're like a little parrot on their shoulder. Or alternatively the dragon being almost like a hot water bottle or maybe allowing their giant friend to pet them gently to calm them down. Friend get's comfort while dragon has that annoying itch that they have been trying to scratch for ages scratched. All and all, i would like a smol platonic story or a smol romance between a dragon and giant reflecting on how much power they hold compared to others and how others see them finding each other along the way finally finding that one person who understands how they feel.

do you have things to yap about Spirit? Minish even? I love the blorbos
I DO I DO
- Spirit needs to have things in his hands to tinker with, like, at all times because otherwise he will lose his mind. He loves building things and then taking them apart, and if he ever got his hands on Zonai materials he’d construct something insane and he’d do it with a crazy grin on his face. He kinda scares some of the others because of the wild crazy fire in his eyes, Tears absolutely LOVES this guy
- Minish, while not super tall or muscular looking, is terrifyingly strong. He can, and will, pick up Warriors and throw him a good few feet. His Little Guy Stare makes him look deceptively small but he can absolutely destroy someone twice his height, and then he’ll stand over their unconscious body like 👁️👁️. He constantly has the five year old ‘Mom, i frew up’ look and he just stands there quietly like 🧍‍♂️. He loves nature and he loves the feeling you get when you’re surrounded by incredibly tall trees, he really likes exploring

when u get this, list 5 songs u like to listen to, publish. then, send this ask to 10 of your favorite followers or moots (positivity is cool) 💖
Aaahh thank you so much for the ask😭🤍
This turned out to be really summer themed but it is my favourite season after all:
Take A Slice by Glass Animals - my favourite Glass Animals song and a perfect summer song! It’s so sensual and I adore how they go absolutely feral in the live version! I can’t wait to hear it live later this year (wavey davey you better not skip that one!!)
There Is A Light That Never Goes Out by Rick Astley with Blossoms - this is a The Smiths cover they did at Glastonbury last year and it just makes me so happy! The smile on the drummer from Blossoms and the crowd, this is the beauty of live music and what concerts are supposed to be like!
Darkness At The Heart Of My Love by Ghost - "when the summer dies / severing the ties / I’m with you always" this is my favourite Ghost song and on constant repeat at the end of summer when I’m starting to feel that sadness about the colder months and my seasonal depression creeping in.
Friday Afternoons, Op. 7: A New Year Carol by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross - this is a two part song from the "Challengers" soundtrack. I usually listen to it in a dedicated playlist on repeat but Part 2 is actually my favourite part of the Song. The mix of the synth with the ocean sounds at the end is the perfect music to listen to at sunset while thinking about life.
Changes by Empire Of The Sun - this song makes me feel like I’m soaring through the sky and on a deeper level makes me think about how it’s never too late and that there are second, third, fourth, how ever many chances to make positive changes in your life. Also in the MV there are these cute alien creatures, love the little guys!
Also throwing in a bonus because I love talking about music:
Ocean Man by Ween - Not only part of the soundtrack of the best movie ever made which, of course, is "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" but also just a feel good song that makes me want to dance!

I LOVE YOUR NINA HELLO??
the zombie shit is so cool?? that’s probably my favorite nina i’ve ever seen/read about bro
OH MY GOD THANK YOU??????!?!!!!!!
I’m so glad my version of her is being received well!!! I wanted to give her a little more than just the current fanon interpretation of her (not that there’s anything wrong with it! I love that the fandom loves her now and has come up with some basic common accepted headcanons hehehe) so she’d actually stick out a little among the other headcanon versions of her that exist.
I can’t say she falls in line with traditional zombie stuff considering unlike Ann, she doesn’t need to consume flesh to continue living/regenerating, nor does she rot at any point. Girl is just really good at dying and then bouncing back .2 seconds later like nothing happened. You could decapitate this girl the night before and the next morning she’s at the breakfast table without even a scratch on her neck. Durable queen.
Even knowing that, everyone including her has no clue what it means, so for the sake of simplicity they call her a zombie and then call it a day.
Who knows, maybe her condition also has something to do with the [REDACTED] stuff that caused Ann and Eyeless Jack’s transformations.

I’ve mentioned this on Twitter, too, but the blessing of Tumblr is that I can freely yap about something without a character limit haunting my ass.
This is my attempt to answer some controversial questions about Ford’s personality, such as: was Ford, at any point of his life, truly a detached hero who prioritized the greater good of the universe? Would he have done the same for Stan, were their roles reserved (aka Reverse Portal AU)? And did he, despite his obvious suffering, choose the greater good over his brother when he agreed to erase Stan’s memories to destroy Bill?
Short answer: it’s complicated, but Ford is more unhinged about his loved ones than many people seem to think. No matter Ford’s choice in a Reverse Portal AU, Ford has always loved Stan just as much as Stan loved him.
Long answer:
One common misconception about Ford’s character—not only Ford, but many, many fictional characters I had the pleasure of considering blorbos—is that people take his facade at face value and judge him based off that. You’re falling for his bullshit. You’re looking at Ford and seeing exactly the man he wants you to see, instead of the man he is.
Ford demonstrated being hypocritical many, many times through the show, the comics, his journal, and even TBoB. I would go so far as to say it’s a Known Personality Trait of his. He chews Stan’s ass for being selfish, reckless, a criminal. Then proceeds to be: selfish and completely unaware of it, ten times more reckless, and a much more dangerous kind of criminal.
(No, I don’t believe even for a second that simply stealing pieces for a weapon was what made him a dangerous outlaw in multiple dimensions. Stan might be banned from most places in the United States; states inside a country inside a continent inside Earth inside the solar system inside our galaxy inside our dimension, theoretically. Now compare this with the fact Ford was banned from whole, often entirely magical, dimensions, and described as “armed and dangerous.”)
In a recent interview that I’ve just linked here, Alex commented that initially he couldn’t reconcile the idea of a Ford who was supposedly so responsible and preached responsibility left & right with the idea of a Ford who would keep an extremely dangerous and volatile object such as the infinity sided die inside a cheap plastic case. With Rob Renzetti’s help (co-author of J3 and the closest thing we have of an irl Ford), he came to understand that Ford can bring himself to do anything he can effectively rationalize.
That’s logical, says baby Ford in the comics, under the assumption the Sibling Brothers really were dead because, you know, he and his twin had killed them (to be fair, only Stan, but as I’ve talked before in another analysis, Ford had a tendency to think of himself as part of an unit with his brother; if Stan 1 was a killer, so was Stan 2), and completely indifferent to that fact. Or to the fact they would be stealing clothes of their corpses to impersonate them. (When you remove the layer of humor and comic relief, you notice how wild the lore of Gravity Falls is, hahah.) That was Ford as a child! But my crimes had a noble purpose, says old Ford in Journal 3, about being an intergalactic outlaw. But it was all in the name of science, says old Ford in the comics, also justifying his crimes. In the name of science, Ford? I thought you were stealing pieces to build a weapon and destroy Bill. You know, for the greater good of universe, not science...? A bit inconsistent with the excuses here, buddy.
(If you’re like me, you’re probably thinking of how much this can be used as ship fuel or as morally ambiguous!Ford fuel and I agree. Delicious implications.)
But alright, we have already established Ford as hypocritical. Now what? Would he have done the same for Stan or not?
You see, I actually have no doubt that Ford loved Stan just as much as Stan loved him, even at his worst. (I might make a post about that if anyone is interested.) The difference is that he was just very bad at loving Stan. I also have no doubt that Stan was, and still is—they’re alive in some sort of Sea Grunkles limbo in my mind, so excuse the present tense—way more important than the greater good for him. The real question is: would Ford, known zero emotional intelligence haver, possess the self-awareness necessary to recognize that deep truth about himself? Or would he attempt to repress his feelings for Stan to prioritize his noble mission?
The thing about Ford is that he’s insanely good at repressing, so we mustn’t underestimate him. I think this is left pretty clear when he attempted to teach Dipper to just not feel fear as if it were the easiest task in the world. Hilarious, but also worrying.
In the same interview I’ve just referenced, Alex said that Ford is not only distant from Stan or other people, Ford is distant from himself. And if he’s not honest with himself, if he ignores his own feelings, how can we expect him to make the “right” decision (that is, the decision that aligns with what his heart truly wants instead of a decision he’ll bitterly regret for the rest of his life) when it comes to Stan in this specific Reverse Portal scenario?
We can’t. But we can hope! TBoB made me lean towards the more charitable “he has at least a modicum of self-awareness” interpretation of him. He has, after all, not only admitted he missed Stan in a casual manner without need for a life & death situation looming over his head (using their secret bro code, but still), but also considered reaching out (to supposedly lecture Stan, but again, this is Ford we’re talking about, so of course that was just an excuse), before Bill changed his mind.
Imo, one thing that weighs a lot here is how dangerous he knows Bill to be, given that TBoB!Bill abused Ford even more horrifically than I had previously thought. An impossibly dangerous, sadistic, and unpredictable being—capital E Evil, and as such, a threat he is guaranteed to take seriously. TBoB seems to imply Ford thought Stan was doing just fine. (A shameless con artist who could be doing a thousand better things with his life, sure, but still, just fine.) There’s no way he could convince himself Stan would be fine, Stan would be alright, et cetera, if Stan ended up in Bill’s hands. Death is one of the tamest things Bill could inflict upon Stan, especially considering Stan is Ford’s beloved twin brother (yes, beloved, since Bill had access to Ford’s innermost thoughts and feelings, and was for some reason insanely jealous of Stan in TBoB), which brings us to another thing: the overwhelming and haunting guilt Ford would feel if something happened to Stan because of him.
Another thing I consider worthy of notice is how Ford’s first impulse whenever Stan is in any kind of danger in canon is to rescue him, naturally, thoughtlessly. In J3, he tells us about his dream of Stan being squeezed to death by a giant six-fingered hand and his attempt to run to help him; the fact his feet were somehow frozen in place was the climax of the nightmare. In the comics, he doesn’t hesitate to reunite everyone to go and save Stan, without complaining even once. The funniest thing is that the same can’t even be said about Stan! [gestures to Stan’s reactions to Ford being captured by Probabilitor the Annoying and Bill in Weirdmaggedon] Not that Stan have his reasons to be furious at Ford! He had, of course. But not my point here.
But perhaps you’re not convinced by that and you still think Ford wouldn’t have it in himself to save Stan. That’s a valid interpretation, too. What I love about Ford is that he is so complex and layered that sometimes you can’t answer questions about him with the same certainty you would other characters. At least one thing I’m sure of: if he chose not to save Stan, he would regret it. It’s simply not the kind of person he is. An AU in which Ford clowns and chooses the greater good could be a pool of delicious angst if you’re into that, especially if Stan somehow comes back and doesn’t forgive him. He would slowly, oh so slowly, come to realize he made the “wrong” (again, the one that didn’t align with his self) choice.
Now, the last point of this wall of text: Ford and the erasing of Stan’s memories. That one is quite simple to me. Ford erased Stan’s memories because he had literally no other choice. This is what Ford said to him, you guys: “He’ll be able to take over the galaxy and maybe even worse, but at least he might let the kids free.” And of course, the following, “We need to take his deal. It’s the only way he’ll agree to save you and the kids.” Before, Ford was referring to Bill’s immediate threat to the kids’ lives—Bill had, after all, ran after Dipper and Mabel with a terrifying threat of disassembling their molecules as their grunkles were forced to watch inside their cage, powerless to stop him. After mulling it over, Ford included Stan’s safety in the deal, too, now more certain than ever about his decision to sacrifice not only himself but, in his own words, “the galaxy” (and later, “the universe,” as he was pretending to be Stan) to perhaps save three (3) people.
Emphasis on the perhaps, here. Ford had literally no guarantee Bill would follow through with his words. Given Bill’s track record, it was way, way more likely that he wouldn’t. Bill is a liar and a manipulator through and through, one who takes great enjoyment in people’s suffering. Ford’s suffering, specifically, above all, since TBoB painted Bill as this toxic and possessive ex obsessed with his pet scientist. What were the chances? Even if Bill, through some miracle, did end up keeping his word, we saw Bill’s plans for Earth in his daydream fantasies: taking a bite off the planet, drawing a smiley face on its surface as millions died... What a guy, that Bill! If the Earth was wrecked beyond repair, where would Stan and the kids live? How would they survive among all the chaos and destruction of the literal apocalypse? With nightmarish creatures lurking in every corner? With what food, what water, what shelter? Answer: they likely wouldn’t. The probability of human survival would be abysmally low.
I think Ford knew this very well, deep down. And he was still willing to take the chance, because he was already despairing. Because it was the only visible way out for his family, no matter what happened to him. A fellow shipper once pointed out that it could be Ford’s Martyr Complex rearing its head again, but a) to choose the universe over three people is arguably the “nobler,” less selfish option that would better align with his view of himself as a classic, tragic hero, and b) to surrender to Bill, his archenemy whom he now hated, and admit defeat like that would be beyond humiliating. The blow to the image of himself he insisted on clinging to would be gigantic, and I don’t think the irony of his hypocrisy (of criticizing Stan for merely risking the planet for one person and then objectively and irreversibly selling the whole galaxy, or whole universe, for a small chance of saving three) would be lost on him.
It’s fascinating, too, that Bill didn’t think that was out of character for Ford to accept his absurd deal. Again, the one being who knew younger Ford’s innermost thoughts and feelings, but was unable to access old Ford’s mind, which leads us to the conclusion he very likely based his knowledge of old Ford off younger Ford. (I think this is important to point out due to the fact younger Ford would be the one dealing with the Reverse Portal AU situation.)
Stan, pretending to be him, says, “My only condition is that you let my brother and the kids go!” and Bill believes him easily. Just a word, “Fine,” and that’s it. No questions, no teasing, even though he was mocking the Stan twins for not being able to get along just a second before—he knew that no matter how much Ford bickered with Stan, his love for his twin ran much deeper than that. (Ford might not have liked Stan, for a while, but he still loved Stan. Two different things in this case.)
I imagine that when Stan proposed the twin switch solution, he was the only light amid overwhelming darkness for a Ford who had already surrendered to despair and lost all hope. The water for a man dying of thirst. Not ironically, Ford must have seen a halo around his heroic, noble brother’s head. Finally, something that could work! Stan saves them all! From something that was Ford’s fault, at that! No wonder Ford worships him as the most selfless man he has ever met. The whole thing must have left a strong impression on him. Stan created a solution when there was none, and what a heartbreaking solution it was...
If he didn’t erase Stan’s memories to save the universe, the kids and Stan himself would likely meet their death anyway—a very, very literal, very permanent, kind of death, not just a metaphorical one.
My conclusion is: say what you want about Ford—he is egocentric, arrogant, hypocritical, entitled, and overall an asshole to almost every person who ever loved him—but this man did love his family, fiercely so, and in an intensity that was in no way inferior to Stan’s. He is just incapable of acting normal about it, the poor thing.

HI HI HI
You should yell about the blorbo. I'd love to hear about some warriors HC's you have.
I also have a HC and I'd love to hear what you think about it.
I've always HC'ed Warriors as having an adoptive son/daughter. And I low-key see him as a princess dad. The man is totally dressing up for his daughter's tea parties in the castle with her best friend the queen.
Please yell about your blorbo, I want to hear about him. :DDDD
HI HI HI IVE BEEN GIVEN PERMISSION TO YELL AND YAP I SHALL!!!!
First of all: Yes absolutely. I headcanon Wars as on the ace spectrum, I don’t think that man is having biological children. I kinda see him as someone who would decide to NOT have children, because he doesn’t think it’d be fair of him to raise a child because he thinks he’s too mentally messed up for that (despite the fact that Time and Wind both turned out FINE), but one day he just ✨Acquires✨ a child and that’s just the end of it he’s a father now.
The specific headcanon I have for him regarding having kids is after the war, he does his best to help the areas of Hyrule that were just DESTROYED, and so many civilians lost their lives and orphanages were just overflowing, and he does his best to put money into those places to help out and he visits and tells the kids stories and makes sure they’re actually being treated well and helps them get families, and one day he just comes across this little girl who’s not counted for at any of the orphanages and her parents are gone, and he tries to get her set up in one but she’s just too attached to him and he’s got such a soft spot for kids he just adopts her because she was just so miserable there and kept begging the people at the orphanage to make him come back. And that’s his little girl now, she’s his princess he’d fight the entire war again in a heartbeat just for her. He absolutely dresses up for tea parties with her, he lets her do his hair and makeup, he’ll walk down the halls holding her hand while she skips and Zelda has never in her LIFE seen him so genuinely happy. He’s an absolutely WONDERFUL father, despite his own doubts in himself, and that little girl grows up with “Aunt Zel” and “Aunt Impa” teaching her how to kick ASS (plus Aunt Linkle, who’s her actual aunt being Link’s brother and all, and Linkle helps her befriend the cuckoos)
Other Wars headcanons I have!!:
- He has a significant amount of gray hair but you can’t see it because he bleaches and dyes his hair (I HC it’s naturally a very dark brown and also curly, but he straightens it)
- Writes his journals in his first language because it’s not a common one in Castle Town and it makes him feel better to know that if anyone DID get their hands on it, they’d at least be slowed down because they’d have to translate it
- His left hand shakes sometimes because of old injuries and overuse, and it’s not as strong as his right. Sometimes it’s hard for him to use his sword and shield because of it, so he’ll either use his sword with two hands for support or just use his fire rod
- He has quite a few scars on his face but he can either cover them COMPLETELY with makeup or make them look light enough to not be super jarring (depending on how deep the scars are)
- I HC he doesn’t like things up against his neck, so he’ll wear only tunics/shirts that are very low cut in the front and his scarf is pinned so securely in place that it is IMPOSSIBLE for him to be strangled with it unless the end was grabbed and THEN wrapped around his neck
- Not the world’s best cook. He can make comfort dishes from home his mom used to make for him, but not a whole lot of other things. He has memorized recipes and hasn’t tried too much with experimenting and making new ones
- High spice tolerance, but mentally he can’t handle it because it makes his tongue buzz and he’ll freak out and panic because he can’t tell if it’s spice or poison
- Autistic with lower support needs. He masks incredibly well but that doesn’t make him any less autistic and that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t struggle

Fic Request Guidelines 💌
I've been getting lots of requests in the last few days (yay!) so thought I'd better make a proper post regarding who I write for, what I will write, etc.
Tumblr media
• Please specify what kind of request (headcanon, imagine, full length fics) you would like. If you don't mind or leave it out, I can choose one. • I write 'x reader', that's including fem and gn only for now (I hope to expand on this.) I always try to exclude any physical descriptors (hair, skin colour, etc) so that everyone can be included. I also do not use 'y/n'. • Try to give as much detail as you can, like a basic plot or what you would like included. If you're not bothered, I'll go wild with it but it may take longer to answer. • I REALLY love angst and sometimes I write it without realising, so please specify if you do not want angst in your request. • I do not write RPF, very detailed abuse, scat, rape, incest, A/B/O, underage characters, aged up characters - I may add to this when I come across stuff I don't like. • If you're unsure if I will write for a certain fandom, character or kink not mentioned on my page, there is no harm in asking. • I write NSFW/smut and will tag accordingly. What's your favorite form/shape/look for Martian Manhunter?
OMG OMG HI You asked me the question I didn’t know I was dying to answer!!!! Thank you and pls enjoy my ramble<333 under the cut in case it gets too long heheheh
So this can be answered from multiple angles (and that’s exactly what I’m gonna do)
First would be my favorite art style for J’onn!!!
No argument here it’s definitely dcau’s design
Tumblr media
This skrunkly blorbo has the most perfect face ever, so very well balanced features in between human and alien, my favorite thing about it are those black patterns on his eyes and his lil mouth shape <33
And his natural form in this style is perfect too, love the bio armor looking chest plate thingys on his chest and his heels, gives him a bug vibe and how can I not love that!!!
Tumblr media
Other styles I like would be:
J’onn from Justice League Action, a bit skinny but he’s very cute and I love his overall silly vibe
Tumblr media
J’onn from Justice league Crisis on two earths
Tumblr media
Alright next I’ll talk about my fav uniforms for him!!
Gotta love the classic one ya know, very effective, real fun seeing him walkin around with his tiddies out and in his lil hot pants
Tumblr media
N52 J’onns outfit is pretty cool too, I kinda like it when they go in between too little coverage and too much, plus loincloth fits him (idk if that’s what it’s called) , bonus point for claws and spikes on elbows
Tumblr media
Justice lords J’onn pretty cool too!!! Kinda wished there was more red tho
Tumblr media
In general I like seeing the red X on his chest, the big cape with collar and the boots with a part folded down, so if a design has all three it can’t go too wrong really
Anyways, finally I’ll talk about my fav form/shape for him!!
Apart from his hero form (Martian manhunter), his natural Martian form is my fav, especially when they make it insect like, honestly it’s no fun when you see Martians and they just look like green humans with red eyes, like why!! They’re aliens!! Give them alien features!! Make them look weird!!!
Things I like to see when it comes to his Martian form would be pointy head, long and (comparatively) skinnier limbs, claws, spikes, and I’ve seen some artist give him tree like patterns which is really cool since I associate him with plants a lot, but otherwise smooth or slightly scaly skin does the job too
Here are some interpretations of his Martian form that I enjoy and haven’t been shown, from JLA, adventures in the dcau, JLA act of gods, and Martian Manhunter 1988 (pls go read it excellent story and beautiful art)
Tumblr media
That’s it for now! Will gladly yap more if anyones interested, thank you for coming to my ted talk<33

A little personal project to visualise some dragon age origin kids alongside their parents.
If you noticed the difference in quality that would be because I made them months apart of each other. And on different canvas sizes. Because consistency is dead I guess.
More on the kids themselves below the cut: (it is just me yapping about my blorbo's)
Firstly there is my oc kid Duncan Bryce Theirin, son of King Alistair and Queen Gwendelyn Cousland.
Gwen isn't a warden in my canon, nor did she romance Alistair. Instead she is romantically involved with my Surana (also a non-warden). Alistair and Gwendolyn are great friends though, and they got necessarily involved enough to have an heir, a son they both love dearly.
Duncan would be born a year or so after Origins, in 9:32 dragon. Being the only heir to the throne resulted in being raised somewhat sheltered for his safety. He's a curious kid but ultimately shy, though he's well trained enough by his tutors to be able to put up a front of confidence in court. While trained as a warrior like his father, Duncan prefers the bow, he also enjoys horseback riding.
Kieran Adai Tabris is my own spin on canon-kieran. The son of Morrigan and the Hero of Ferelden, Dane Tabris. Born with the soul of an Old God. He is a mage and shapeshifter.
I refuse to believe a Morrigan that had a very good relationship with a non-romanced warden would not at least let him meet his own child. So Dane, while not responsible for fully raising him, spends a good amount of time with Kieran throughout his son's life.
As a child this Kieran still says equally weird shit as canon-OGB Kieran, except this one does it at high volumes. Can be seen playing swords or running around on his own two legs when he isn't doing so in animal form (his favored shape is that of a mabari).
As an adult, Kieran will identify as agender. Going by he/they/it pronouns, and begins identifying with the 'Witch of the Wilds' moniker that its mother is also labeled as.

I can't believe I've been writing them, my blorbos, Lyra and Harvey, for all this time! Tomorrow, is the one year anniversary of when I posted my first chapter about them. 2nd September.
I also have just passed over 220 lovely people following me on this site, a place where I come to yap endlessly about Harv, share lovely art, and daydream about my blorbos.
My long fic has also passed 200 kudos on AO3 this week, which is really quite astonishing to me and I am eternally grateful to anyone who reads any of my work!
In the last couple of weeks I also passed over 202k words on AO3, all written in this last year. I wanted to write my whole life and I can't believe I get to do this. It is a dream come true.
There are also 222 comment threads on my AO3 and the next one-shot I write will be work number 20.
There are a lot of 2s here.
Is this a ramble? Yes. I just felt like writing it down.
Next chapter of the long fic and some very lovely art should be coming on 2 September. I guess I better get some rest so I can get those last edits done.
Thank you everyone.

what do you think fry's family is like!!! i love him sooo much every time you draw him it's like a gift 🥺🥺🥺
WAUGHGHGHJ these Fry questions make me so happy since he's my Blorbo(TM) <3 Gah I'm itching to talk about him, so ask and you shall deserve!! Also thank you SO much I'm so glad you love my art <33
Tumblr media
little sketches related to what I'm about to yap about. ANYWAYS here's wonderwall
So on my old account I used to hc he is Indian-British, whose family hails from Travancore (Kerala nowadays). This was based on what I ASSUMED was canon info since back in January, all Chicken Run wiki articles about him mentioned he's Indian-British. But apparently that's not 100% settled info what his ethnicity is?? And the wikis have been edited since. His VA Nick Mohammed is from a mixed Cypriot/Indo-Trinidadian family though and I spent time reading about Indian-British immigrant history to get Fry's characterization accurate, so imma keep with that hc.
Anyway! I headcanon Marcus is the only child of wealthy businessmen that owned a highly successful trade company. His Vaishya grandparents moved to Britain during the late Victorian era; after all one of the only ways a PoC family could make it back then in Britain was by being filthy rich, and very early on the Fry family had been forced to adopt a "British" way of living in order to be taken seriously by the shitass imperial society. Such as switching to a British surname and avoiding to display too much of their original culture in public. A colonial trauma that still prevails, since Fry's parents christened him with a heavily English name.
I REEEALLY wanna give a try to designing Fry's parents sometime!! But I imagine his parents as sort of a healthier parallel to Melisha's parents; his father is a pristine and calm gentleman with a soothing voice and a love for theatre and literature (a trait that Marcus inherited LMAO) while his mother is more stern, headstrong and very, VERY proud of her status. (but she also has a infectuous smile and laughter and has a bombastic overdramatic streak...something that Fry inherited as well)
They're both native Malayam speakers, and while their family in public strives to keep Keralite culture hidden, they made sure to teach Marcus to speak his native language fluently as well, along with Hindi, Bengali, Tegulu and Tamil. Along with that, they frequently go on family trips to Travancore and enjoy things like inji neer, Kathakali performances (which inspired Fry on his love for theatre <3) and Carnatic music.
Both parents pushed Marcus to study hard and gain multiple academic degrees - it was all out of love and concern, because they wanted Marcus to be able to survive in the cruel world out there without only relying on his money. (Once again, a PoC immigrant family experience that I can identify with as well... even if society nowadays is not nearly as racist as it was back then, unfortunately PoC people are often forced to study waaaay harder than white people in order to make it.) Because they had lived through the years of great depression in the 1930s, and while they managed to survive with most of their wealth intact, they knew that one should not rely only on money for support since anything could happen.
Fry, as a child, was a gifted A+ grade student and a very well-behaved, so his parents called him a little ray of sunshine and a future hope. He yearned to be perfect so his parents would never be disappointed in him. Something that later on contributed MASSIVELY to Fry's gifted child burnout, and how he adopted a sinister, sadistic fascination with mind control and manipulation during his Cambridge years.
Once Marcus came out as trans and genderfluid to his parents, his father was very patient and accepting, but his mother spent several years in denial before finally accepting him. Not directly out of transphobia - but because she was afraid that Marcus would be discriminated, attacked and hurt by people, and that he should focus first on building a career for himself instead of bringing a bad name to the Fry family like this, with an outrageous gender identity. But she soon realized that hiding himself would only hurt her child on the long run. Also - the way Fry managed to fully bribe (cough mind control cough) British officials to switch the gender in his personal info and passport was nothing less than impressive to both of his parents LMFAOOOO and they're very proud
However despite all of this, Fry retains a loving relationship to his parents!! He goes to their mansion every Christmas, and they're also VERY accepting and encouraging to his marriage to Melisha. In fact, his mom was relieved to see Fry had married a very orderly, stern and no-nonsense woman, because Marcus had always been a scatterbrained mess and a reckless money-spender. He made a wonderful scientist, but business-running had never been his thing, so Melisha taking care of all that is like a lottery win to the Fry parents. ESPECIALLY since Melisha came from a poor household - a woman like this, who knows what it's like to live at the rock bottom, surely knows to keep Marcus humble and not let him make flimsy business decisions!! (either way Melisha is still a bit intimidated by Fry's mom, which says a lot considering what kind of a girl Melisha herself is LMFAO)
Pluuuus... the Harsh Expectations(TM) is something that Melisha can relate to </3 It's something that catches her entirely off guard, when she learns this detail about Fry's past. After all, the silly goofy doctor is like an endless ray of sunshine, he's rich and successful. (and we all know what Melisha's mother told her about money bringing happiness...) How could he ever have any worries or feelings of inferiority??
It's a detail that makes (in my hcs) Melisha fall even deeper in love with Fry and become tenfold more protective over him :''') <3 Once she realizes what a horrific burden this goofball is carrying on his back, and yet he still finds the energy every day to stay positive, be optimistic and support Melisha during her hard days.
