It's me, the animal anon ask again! Tell me the animal analog for Robin and Miraak. Or some funny animal vs Miraak where he absolutely beefs it to a creature

ohhh another really fun question. here are some of my animal-based headcanons for the two!

• Robin’s favorite animals are dogs, goats and mammoths. he owns a good few of the former 2 throughout his life, including Meeko at one point 🖤

his fascination with mammoths comes from the fact that you don’t find many of them in the Rift. Robin grew up in Riften and didn’t venture too far from there until much later when he was more involved with the Thieves Guild, so seeing such majestic megafauna for the first time had him in awe. every time he sees mammoths, he takes a moment to just watch them for a bit

• Miraak on the other hand always was fond of deer, as well as dogs. i imagine him growing up in a small Atmoran village before he was of age to be indoctrinated into the Dragon Cult. before then, he would often hunt with his mother and would gain an infatuation with deer. large stags are his favorite, and i love the idea that part of his personal dragon hoard includes shed antlers he finds. it’s an interest he still has even after those thousands of years in Apocrypha.

i think he’d also just like dogs. he’s the kind of guy to say he’s annoyed by those needy animals, but then Robin finds him treating Meeko, a full grown irish wolfhound mind you, like a lapdog.

• Robin’s family actually has a good bit of bird symbolism and themes with both him and other family members! Robin’s non-traditional name comes from the fact that his mother’s name was Dove - it wasn’t her birth name, yet was a nickname given to her that never really rubbed off.

Dove’s name is an implication to the tragedy that is her life story. while doves as a species are often associated with hope during times of crisis, i actually had the idea of mourning doves in my brain when naming her. especially how doves are sometimes released at funerals or are also a symbol for mourning or passed loved ones. so both meanings oppose one another, but apply to this character all the same

Robin’s father wanted to name their child after Dove, or at least with a similar theme, to honor her - yet the name Robin was also chosen for purposeful symbolism. robins are often used as a sign of good luck. when the two had Robin, their relationship had been long tarnished and they honestly only had Robin as a way to “mend” their relationship. naming their child after a symbol of good luck was semi-purposeful, yet turned ironic considering not only did neither of his parents survive, but Robin’s life was… well. not very lucky lol.

i guess you could consider it “lucky” since he survived when his parents could not. he survived so many hardships that he genuinely didn’t believe he could despite the odds that were so overwhelmingly against him. (while Robin was his birth name, he still decided to keep it post-transition)

not to mention Robin being a Nightingale, with the whole bird symbolism thing. but back to more lighthearted facts!

• Robin’s main mount is a mule mare named Aska. she was a cheap purchase at the Riften stables back when Robin was a teen/young adult struggling in the Thieves Guild. her being discounted was for a reason, as she was (and still is) extremely ornery. over time, the two began to get along well and made quite a good team. Robin is still the only one who can ride her, though x)

• Miraak rides a draft breed gelding named Strunmah, meaning “mountain” in Dovahzul. appropriate for how large his steed is.

I soooo quickly lost track of time before and more so after we go to that point but with combination I think it was...

Woooo new chapter I just read it like a few hours ago and finally am here to send in some thoughts bc WHYYYY not.

This chapter got me a bit confused, and curious about the necromancer thingy and it’s relation to ponk “letting people die” since I thought necromancers were people who can talk to the dead…Though I’m sure I’ll understand it in more detail if I read it again or when the next chapter uploads, so I’m not too worried about that.

This chapter also made me more curious about the Crimson more then ever bc GODDAMNNN it’s gives like a lick of everyone’s past and their relation to Crimson but that all it gives, just a small tiny slice, a teaser.HSHHSHS

Man this is also getting long so I’m gonna end it here :))). Falling for you - Fred Weasley x reader

Request: Could you make a Fred X reader where the reader is new to Hogwarts, gets sorted into Slytherin but finds it hard to make friends since she's from Belgium and has a bit of an accent, maybe Fred helps her or something like that? Thanks

A/N: Okay I know this is so freaking late but I’m finally getting around to answering theseeee.  I’m really sorryyyy!!!!  Please someone like hit me with a bat because I’ve been like MIA for so long due to school.  Anyways I had fun writing this request because I moved to America from Korea when I was starting highschool so I had a slight accent and I still do and people kind of made fun of it, more like in a joking way, but it still always made me self conscious when someone points it out and I didn’t notice I did this but one of my good friends pointed out that back in freshman year whenever someone pointed out my accent I would suddenly go quiet and stop talking.  So, I kind of based this around my experience of dealing with having a slight accent so I hope this is similar to what you wanted?  Anyways, love you guys and I hope you enjoy!

You were to the school, while everyone had made friends and had already formed relationships you were starting on a completely new plate.  You had moved from Belgium to Great Britain during the middle of your first year to Hogwarts and sorted into Slytherin.  Everyone was already more than curious as to why someone would move in the middle of the school year to Hogwarts, but what made it worse was that some students had gotten around to making fun of your accent.  Every time you talked to someone new and someone mentioned your accent in the middle of the conversation made you feel self-conscious until you met your friend who was polite and would snap at anyone who mentioned your accent.  Later during your fourth year, however, during a fateful prank war, Fred Weasley and his twin had brought you in the middle of it, not intentionally of course.  They were in a prank war with the Slytherins trying to give them a little scare before the next quidditch game between the two houses.  You had been walking to your next class when suddenly everything flew upwards, your body flying high along with your books, before you landed with a loud thump, books landing everywhere.  “Dude, I told you it wasn’t the right person!” came a whisper shout to your left, a male voice.  Another male voice replied in the same hushed tone, “I thought it was, I swear I thought she was the new quidditch team member.”  A pair of feet came into your vision, “Oi, you alright?” a flash of red hair came into your vision too as they crouched, holding their hand out.  “My bigot of a brother thought you were the person we were trying to prank, sorry.”  You looked up, a pale face with a head of fiery red hair, his expression didn’t look very sorry however, a slight mischievous grin playing in his eyes.  Ignoring his hand, you stood up, “It’s fine.” you replied trying to keep your reply short so they wouldn’t notice the accent.  This clearly had not worked, “Fred, I think she’s the transferred girl, the one with the accent in Slytherin.”  The one who had just been called Fred looked at you, “Ohhh…”  seeing the look of recognition in his eyes you quickly picked your books up, not wanting to hear the “oooo”s and “ahhh”s of people hearing your accent and treating you like a show monkey.  Later, in your potions class, you felt a poke on your shoulder, “Hey, you dropped this while you were...yknow running away.” said a familiar voice, turning you were met with the flashy red-haired boy from earlier.  Looking down he was holding out a hair tie, “Oh...thank you.” you replied, grabbing it from his hand and turning away.  Your friend who had been sitting next to you, trying as hard as they could to not make it obvious they were listening to the whole situation.  “You’re welcome...ummm”  “Y/n.” you replied, nodding towards him for his name, “Fred,” he said.  A throat clearing noise echoed through the air, “Weasley...stop distracting y/n.”  Fred’s face changed to a slightly annoyed one, walking back to his seat, and going back to laughing with his brother.  “Oooooo...Why was Weasley talking to you?” she asked, “Why were you running away from him...did he make fun of you?” she asked her voice slowly rising at the end, ready to fight him if he had.  “No, no he was setting a prank.  I got swept into it,”  you replied calming your friend down quickly before she decided to pour the boiling potion over Fred’s head.  

As a fourth year your Hogsmeade trip was coming up very quickly, and as you were sitting alone, making a list of things that you wanted to do with your friends while sitting outside in front of the great lake.  A group of Gryffindors walking by spotted you, quickly resorting to making loud mock accents as they passed.  A voice called out across the field, “Hey, you cowards!  Leave her alone, or I’ll rip you a new one!”  The Gryffindors quickly stopped, a couple making faces at you as they passed by, “Sorry about them, it’s because of the quidditch game coming up soon.”  You turned, the same familiar fiery red hair appearing into your view, “Fred?” you asked, he nodded as he pointed to the ground, a silent question as to whether he could join you.  Nodding as you cleared the space, “Yknow...when we pranked you?  I wasn’t making fun of your accent, I never got to explain that.  I-I actually think it’s really...cute.” he muttered, trailing off at the end, you wouldn’t have caught it if he hadn’t been so close.  Face flushing almost as red as his hair you stammered, “Thank you...I wasn’t trying to run away either I just...when people…” He cut you off, “It’s fine...we were kind of the jerks who knocked you over.” he said, a sly smile playing on his lips, a mischievous glance played in his eyes like fire as he turned to look at you directly, “Yknow the Hogsmeade trip...I’d like to pay you back for that prank and take you out.”  His cheeks had flushed brighter than his hair, that you could almost feel the heat radiating off him, although you were sure your cheeks were almost the same color at this point, “Ummm...by take out do you mean knocking me over again?” you replied joking.  Laughter erupted from his lips, “I promise no knocking over but you might fall...fall for me.” he said, hands fumbling together, after his cheesy statement.  Laughing along you kissed his cheeks, “I’d love to go together, Fred.”  He seemed at a loss for words as he stammered, “It’s a date then.”  Nodding you watched as he stood up, “Well, I’ve got pranks to play with my brother.  He’s probably already fussing about how I’m late.  See you in potions.”   The next week, during the Hogsmeade trip, Fred had met you in front of the Slytherin common room door, waiting patiently outside, if you call asking each of your friends to ask you if you could be any slower patient.  Chuckling to yourself you walked out, “I’m here so could you stop bothering my friends.”  He smiled, “I’m just excited...sorry.”  You went to Honeydukes Sweetshop which you weren’t surprised considering it was Fred, as you fawned over the sweets.  Later, walking around you sat outside one of the shops, eating your candy until Fred broke the silence, “This was really fun, y/n.  I’d like to...continue seeing you and it’d be great if you came to watch me at the quidditch game.” he said, hope glinting in his eyes softly. “Of course, I’d love to see you get your butts kicked by Slytherin.”  His face contorted into a soft growling motion, “You’ll see, y/n.  We’ll kick you snakes butts so badly you won’t be walking for a week.”  The playful banter stopped as it was time to head back to school.  As he walked you back to the Slytherin common room entrance you stopped, leaning closer to his ear, “Don’t let your guard down, Weasley.  I still owe you for that prank.” kissing his cheek you smiled sweetly, as his expression softened, “I never let my guard down.”  Nodding playfully you walked inside, your heart felt as if it could burst in that moment from how many feelings you were feeling at once.  You might really be falling for the Weasley boy, maybe it wasn’t so bad that you had fallen for his prank or else you wouldn’t have met him.

like you said, all the animals are funky lil guys and deserve all the love in the world. however, here’s an objective ranking:

bosco (just a bear): overall not bad but bosco,,,,, YA BASIC and also proof that ba sing se is Weird Af™. bonus points for the gaang’s reaction to finding out that he’s not a hybrid. added bonus point for cute sweater. did not deserve to be EATEN by kuei’s fascist daughter. 5/10.

polar bear dog: naga is the Goodest Girl of all time and deserves so many hugs. would commit murder for korra and honestly Good For Her. i would also commit murder for korra. unfortunately for naga, korra is more than willing to do her own murders. docking a point because her hind legs are really thin and they lowkey creep me out. sorry. 9/10

badger mole: more good boys!!! they trained toph and deserve lots of love and affection for that. also simped for prince wu and 10/10 i respect that. look soft, would ride them. terrifying but badass. 7/10

otter penguin: absolutely incredible character design. they look soft and i wish to boop their noses. also can ride on them. most importantly, they gave us the iconic “do you want to go penguin sledding with me?” line, and for that they get a 10/10

fire ferret: the FACE. the JUMPER. the FLUFFY LITTLE EARS. i want a pabu in my life and i want one now. they are soft and activate my Cuddle Instinct. I love fire ferrets with my whole heart. also pabu would die for bolin and so would i. he climbs in shirts and takes naps and for that he earns my ultimate respect. 11/10

flying lemur: nothing but the best for my boy MOMO. appears sweet but we all know he’s capable of being an axe-murderer if he so chooses. momo could have taken down the fire lord in 3 episodes flat. a true King right here. the only reason i’m ranking lemurs higher than fire ferrets are because of momo. 12/10

catgator: gives me the heebie jeebies. do not like. -4/10

miyuki (just a cat): also basic, but miyuki is wanted by the fire nation which implies that cats are badasses. we respect fascist-fighting cats. 6/10

saber-tooth moose lion: friend material. babies are soft and moms are protective. ideal animal buddy. will play with your boomerang. 8/10

turtle duck: good. soft. baby. they are small but they are filled with love. would absolutely die for a turtle duck. 20/10
