Hello Pája my lovely friend! I didn’t pay attention to new releases last month as much as I have in the past, but I did listen to a handful.

I think my fave (other than NCT) was TXT’s comeback. The EP as whole was pretty great but my favorite song by far is Farewell, Neverland. I also really loved Crescendo from Monsta X’s album. Oooh also GOT the Beat’s mini album. It was super musically different and I found it very interesting but it’s definitely not for everyone. Honorable mentions to SF9’s comeback and Primrose’s debut!

Ohohoh! I almost forgot that Onewe released an English album! I haven’t listened to it yet but I’m sure it’s great because they’re a super talented band!

Oh that little Billie Eilish moment. Happy Fools where have I heard that intro before UGH. Wow that beat is so familiar. I like the lady singing. Tinnitus, I feel like I've heard it already ahah. I actually dread this one, I've heard the two title tracks (?) they performed during SM's concert and my ears bled :// (Also I thought they're called Girls on Top and not GOT the beat eheh.) But! I'll give it a try. Here goes. Sigh. It's like... we have all these beautiful extremely capable voices and we make them shout all at once. Also why does everything have to sound like NCT. Wait why does Alter Ego have a bit from 2 Baddies???? Mark's iconic line. (Like not the lyrics I guess but the delivery is exactly the same??) I don't know I guess I'm kinda tired of the "bad bitches, touch me and die, loser" concept. If I had to pick one song that didn't make think about skipping it within first seconds, it'd be MALA cause we can hear some actual vocals in it and also I kinda like the tone shift in the chorus.

i feel like he’d be a mixture of proud but also disappointment (not towards his kid, not at all— mostly just towards himself). but this just takes me back to the conversation him and soap had— albeit soap was joking but ghost’s response AAAA

i feel like ghost’s kid sees him as their own personal superhero; he’s strong, he’s immovable, and protects people. he’s their protector, too. (even if he can’t always be there.) he makes them feel safe. they want to be able to make people feel that way too.

it makes his mouth go dry and his eyes widen just a bit; he not quite sure what to say to them. he’s honored, really, he just has these persisting thoughts about everything he’s done in his life leading up this moment. he was a killer; he’s got enough blood on his hands to put a butcher to shame. he was not the hero they thought him to be and it was crushing. he just feels as if they should strive to be better

i don’t think he’d say anything about that though because i feel like “you should be better than me” might cause a “???” reaction and then they’d probably ask him why and that’s just a whole other can of worms he really doesn’t want to open at that time because how exactly do you tell your kid that you’ve killed more people than you’ve loved??

6. i actually did worry it was too subtle! in the panels of their childhood and on, i tried to portray the girl transitioning naturally throughout their lives together, but i think the most important panel is the second one, where she looks at the poster of a conventional family.

i had the dad and mom sort of mirror the children’s positions, holding hands. i thought a long time about what the poster should be of - at first i considered a woman? but then i thought it’s also valid to look at something and realize that’s what you’re not. so when she’s looking anxiously at this family, she’s perhaps thinking that this isn’t the future for her. maybe she doesn’t want to be the “dad” or the “husband” in this situation. and this scene is also accompanied by the line “but i didn’t do it right”... so i hoped people would be able to piece these clues together and recognize what i was going for!
