i’m rly vibing w senor bighands design thus far………………i hope it looks good in action!!! the deathdrives’ designs have been pretty hit or miss for me tbh, like i rly love superbia and cupiridas but knuth/pessimism/vanitas are more meh…….like i generally enjoy the unique shapes in THEORY but i just feel like they also suffer a lot from being overdesigned the way a lot of modern 3d mecha are and it makes them kind of hard to parse out on screen which is :/ like so many of the shots are just so BUSY that it’s hard for me to get a handle on what is going on yknow? i can’t stop thinking abt what that shot of bravern saluting smith would look like if there were less details fjdbjfjdndbdn

the way that the pieces for this episode have been positioned intrigues me to no end. like. it’s bravern + lulu + superbia(? i assume) Who Know and isami Who Doesn’t. and the side characters who ALSO don’t know are also not there (at least in the setup). although tbh i could see miyu having an inkling abt it or at the very least being super chill like she was in the Bad Future. like that rly opens the floor up from both a plot perspective (don’t have to worry about whatever power these new DDs have cause only the core cast will be affected) and from a character perspective (don’t have to cut to the faces of Literally anyone but isami going like 😲 once the truth is revealed. if isami doesn’t figure it out for himself first. or however that plays out) and its so smart on the whole and i’m genuinely so excited to watch it play out!!!!!! like even if miyu et al roll up in the last two minutes to help save the day with um. idk it’d have to be smth completely new i suppose cause they sure do have like one gun that is marginally effective against the DDs FNDJFJJDJS it pares things down for max efficiency which is really smart imo

i think there’s at least one more twist left. like ep9 was The Twist and then they pulled time travel AGAIN in ep10 which is genuinely WILD to me. so like. idk maybe ep11 is Old Man Isami coming back from ANOTHER future to sunbathe in the volcano FNNDNFN

i am also not counting out a g gundam style ending yet and Getting Smith Outta That Thing. obviously my own biases are very much at play here but like. if the moral of this show is that you gotta live no matter what you just HAVE to live and fuck time and space and convention because the people who love you will make sure you live. like. if any show is gonna have its cake and eat it too and keep both bravern AND smith around? i feel like this one could pull it off!!!! not placing bets ofc but like its possible yknow? but again that is also based on the assumption that the end point of the show is at all congruous with its current status quo, and something that my feeble human mind can even conceive of with the information that is given, so we shall see. LMAO. the idea that they’re all just gonna be fucking isekai’d into the florist AU that staff loves so much is ANOTHER idea that tickles me greatly for being something so in line with the insanity of this show that i cannot IMMEDIATELY rule it out even if i very much doubt that’s where we’re going LMFAO. bc smth like that sure would fucking vibe w the final battle taking place somewhere “unexpected” (again, if that’s true, idr if it was just a rumor or not) and also how uninterested the show has been w the state of the world at large barring a few scenes. HM.

Okay, now that I’ve finished my first playthrough I can organize my thoughts more. Under cut for potential spoilers.

THE GOOD:

-New vocations. Mystic spearhand, Warfarer, and even Trickster (even though I usually hate to play as a non-damage focused class) are all so incredibly fun to play that I basically maxed them out while “giving them a try” before I even realized what happened. I’d like to see the other mixed vocations from the first game return (Magick Knight!) but honestly a lot of their stuff was pretty seamlessly integrated into the existing classes or the new classes, so I’m not sure we will :/

-Monsters. It seems only fitting in the giant monster fighting RPG, the first two things I’d praise are the new ways of fighting and the monsters. Not only are there a lot of my favorites from the first game, but some great new ones like Minotaurs, Medusa, and the Sphinx. The fights are just as big as the last game, but some of the new ones are mechanically interesting as well. Medusa’s petrification beams have to be avoided (or not if you’re trying to do something special!), kinda reminiscent of the cockatrice from the first game but less annoying. The Gigantus boss fight has you desperately attacking stakes on its body to drain it of the Brine (whoever put that one on its heel, I saw it and I love you for it). And even with all, DDII did not forget that it was the “climb monsters and beat the shit out of them” game and made it BETTER, and for that, I can only respect them.

-Story (NOTE: at the time, I have only played through the base story and gotten the “Peace” ending, I have not gone through the Unmoored World quests and gotten the true ending). Story has never been the strong suit for DD (though DA was the standout for me), but I think DDII is a step up. The political intrigue is interesting and fun, the new Kingdom is cool, and Dragons are awesome. If there is one thing I will lament it’s that there was an element of silliness/humor in the first game that is sort of gone here (but there’s plenty of humor to be found in side quests, so I’m not particularly sore about it). There are not enough words to describe how I felt (and the shriek I let out) when I started to explore the Sea Floor Shrine and Realized.

THE MEH:

-Music. As someone who has spent the last 12 years listening to DD/DD:DA’s OST, this one was kind of a let down. I do still have my favorites (Harve Village and Melve Village), and was so excited to see some return (End of the Struggle), but I think it’s the overall mood that just kinda puts me off? I think there’s just something more melancholy and sad as a recurring theme in the first game’s music, which fits great into that game’s overall messaging and plot. Dragon’s Dogma II at most times just feels…generic fantasy? Like it wouldn’t seem out of place in any fantasy game, as opposed to music that was made for this game if that makes sense. Not bad music by any means, but certainly a step down from the first game.

THE BAD:

-Portcrystals. Specifically, the lack of portcrystals. I am not quite sure how you make a game map that is 2x the size of your first game and think cutting the number of available portcrystals in half is even remotely good. I know there are “technically” 7 bc of the portcrystals already in Harve and Vermund, which begs the question of why there isn’t one in/around Bakbattahl—the capital of the other nation and major city in the game????? Baffling to me. Ox carts do lessen the strain of traveling well-worn roads a little, but they’re cold comfort when they can get attacked so frequently and destroyed if a stiff breeze goes by them. There should’ve been 10 AT LEAST; 10 was excessive for DD:DA, but 10 (so the 2 at Harve and Vermund plus 8 satellites to put wherever you want) would’ve been a skeleton network for how big this map is. Also, like the first game, if you placed a portcrystal in the world and then started a new game from cleared game data, those portcrystals should have stayed where you put them. Wtf do you mean they’re all in my storage????

Overall impression: 9/10. Yeah, it was worth 12 years.

Synopsis: Tensions between Black Widow and Daredevil heat up over the Christmas holiday as Black Widow presses Daredevil for answers about his feelings about Moondragon, and unfortunately he doesn't have any to give. Their talk of relationships ends abruptly when they witness a gang of thieves trying to mug an old lady. The two heroes swing into action, and easily take them down. Natasha takes things too far and is pummeling a man near to death, and Daredevil is forced to strike her in order to make her stop. When the police come to arrest the crooks, and Daredevil is thanked by the old lady, he realizes that the Black Widow has already left.

Traveling back to the mansion where they live, Daredevil gets into an argument with the Widow over the ethics of brutalizing the crooks they fight. When it seems neither side can agree, Daredevil stops the conversation and goes downstairs to Ivan and Moondragon, who are decorating the place for Christmas. When Ivan turns on the TV news a report comes on about how Foggy Nelson was shot by an unknown sniper and is recovering in hospital. Matt is instantly worried and begins making arrangements to get to New York. Matt's request for Ivan to make travel reservations for him and Natasha is quashed by the Black Widow, who refuses to go to Foggy Nelson's aid especially after he had her tried as a spy in court. Moondragon offers to give Matt a lift in her spaceship instead and Daredevil rushes upstairs to pack and is ready to go in a few minutes. With Daredevil gone, Black Widow breaks down in tears and admits her feelings for Murdock to her bodyguard Ivan and fears that she has lost him for good.

On the trip to New York, Daredevil confronts Moondragon with his feelings, and while she admits that she shares similar feelings for him, they are two vastly different beings and she has to turn down any feelings and forget them. Leaving Moondragon's ship, Daredevil swings to the New York General and changes into his civilian guise of Matt Murdock on the roof. Entering the hospital Daredevil meets with Foggy's fiancee Debbie Harris, as well as Foggy's parents and his sister Candace, whom Foggy has never previously mentioned. Candace explains that she is considered by Foggy to be the "black sheep" of the family and promises to explain why later.

When Matt meets with Foggy, he learns that Foggy was shot for getting too close to information that the local gangs in New York are being manipulated by a group called the Black Spectre. He explains that the group plans on stealing a set of government printing plates on exhibit in midtown and passes out. As doctors rush in to check on Foggy's status, Matt rushes out the door to change into Daredevil and try and stop Black Spectre from stealing the plates.

Along the way he intercepts the Beetle, who is making his own bid to steal the printing plates. As the two clash, their fight brings them into the museum exhibit where they duke it out. While the Beetle has superior strength over Daredevil, DD knows the Beetle's weakness. Using the suction cups on the Beetle's own costume, Daredevil pulls off the Beetle's helmet -- the power source to his armor -- rending Beetle immobile. As the Beetle vows to get Daredevil they are startled by gas bombs that are dropped in the room.

As Daredevil is choking on the gas, he is unable to stop two agents of Black Spectre from stealing the printing plates and making a clean getaway.

Les Amis Modern AU: What They Wish Others Believed About Them (Part 2).

[I kind of wrote this in response to some general trends in characterising the Amis. There are some stereotypes which I'm not quite comfortable with. ]

Jehan:

• They get weirded out when people always expect them to present femme, wear flower crowns, flowing ponchos and skirts. They do love these, especially flowers. But they barely get time to slip on a T shirt over a pair of shorts and tie up their hair in a messy knot before going out for last minute groceries. Some days, they actually like wearing plaid shirts, hoodies, berets and jackets. And they did have a "I'M BORED WITH MY LONG HAIR LEMME CHOP IT OFF" phase. Or multiple such phases. They look amazing, both ways.

• They wish people stop perceiving them as tiny and fragile. They are actually pretty regular sized. They are actually taller than R and Joly, as tall as Marius and Courf, and can give a mean right hook to anyone who threatens to assault them and people around them. They get slightly miffed when people don't expect them to pack in a punch to defend themself.

• They really wish that people didn't assume that they have the solution to all their emotional problems. They are a mess too, yannow? With lots of tea, a few potted plants and a decorative skull. And they really wish that they could have a meltdown in front of some people in turn.

• They aren't always all calm and zen. Woe betide anyone who interrupts Jehan in a writing session. Or a proof-reading session. Or catches them hitting their head on the corner of the table while trying to clean the dust under it. And woe especially betide anyone who interrupts these activities of Jehan to pine for the umpteenth time.

• They don't always entertain valentine poetry requests just because they specialise in Romanticism. "Romanticism with a CAPITAL R", they yell, "ALSO includes poems like the Masque of Anarchy, and novels like Frankenstein! I'm NOT reading hours of Schlegel for this!" Some of their slam poems are fierce af , and rip the establishment a new one. Also, they don't write poems on every available surface (because they usually hide the more private and sweet poems).

• They wish that people wouldn't hover around them like helicopter parents when their date is edgy ( *Montparnasse*). They can take care of themselves, and will definitely come to people for help if shit hits the fan (that never really happened though). They want to let people know that toxic people can also materialise without leather jackets and piercings.

• They also want to let people know that their relationship dynamics with 'Parnasse is regular af, and not any chewed-out Sinner and Saint trope.

Feuilly:

• Is impatient. Anyone would be impatient if they are working their arse off in three part-time jobs, an Etsy business, classes and assignments. AND Les Amis work. He's tries not be rude, but is often blunt and brusque and has no time for the wounded sentiments of those he calls out for their privilege. Feuilly is hardly the quiet, angelic figure people initially think he is, and can be quite fiery in meetings. He feels frustrated when people don't quite get it.

• He goes out of his way to help his friends. That doesn't mean that he is a handyman for free. He does not have time to fix every article of machinery or furniture his friends happen to damage, definitely not for free. And his friends know that, and never stress him out. He does give them a lot of discounts, though, and is always there for any emergency.

• He finds a lot of rich-people-food tasteless. Lavender tea blends? Perfumed water. Champagne? Meh. Caviar? Nevermind. Canapes? Why?

• He's always afraid that his friendships will fall apart. He cannot hope to attend all meetings, let alone movie nights. He's terrified of dinners and parties, because he's worried about expenses. He cannot trust simple acts of service from his friends because he hates charity. He's also a little self-conscious about his old thrift-shop clothes. He's always terrified of losing his jobs. It takes a lot of time for the Amis to convince him to trust them, and they try their level best to make sure that they don't hurt him in any way, and help him as much as he permits (sometimes even more).

• He is learning how not to judge people for their apparent privilege without knowing their life-stories, and, whenever not tired, takes an active role in trying to know people's histories.

• Education is rough for him, because most professors insist on standards of work presentation which are usually learned by really privileged people. Even if he is low-key a genius who learns really fast and gives tons of content in his paper, he gets mediocre grades because of vague things like "colloquialism usage", "cluttered style" and "unacademic presentation".

• Sometimes has meltdowns and panic attacks, particularly at the end of the month. Feuilly knows what homelessness is like, and does not want to repeat it again, even though he's financially in a better place than before. He wakes up with nightmares about being passed out at the back of a subway train.

• Feuilly is an old soul. He knows when an Ami is sad, or in trouble. But he'll wait till he knows they are ready to tell him what's wrong. It can sometimes seem bordering on tough love. He hopes that no one thinks him to be insensitive because of that.

Bahorel:

• Likes bar brawls only when it involves kicking someone's ass for being creepy, homophobic, sexist, racist and similarly-ist assholes. He absolutely does not like gratuitous violence for its own sake. And FFS, he doesn't really like Tarantino.

• Wishes people don't look at him weirdly when he is doing regular stuff like groceries, parking his motorbike, playing with Gavroche or Azelma, or going plant-shopping with Jehan. He knows that people stare as though he was a ticking time bomb, waiting to go off in a reassuring display of toxic, hypermasculine machismo. He hates that. -_-

• Similarly, he hates it when people assume that he's all brawn and no brain, particularly after knowing him to be a law school dropout. He has a grim satisfaction in seeing a newcomer to the Musain look at him agape, expecting him to be some kind of tropey backbencher only there for brawling, but finding him actively engaged in articulate brainstorming while the others nod enthusiastically.

• He likes bar crawls. That doesn't mean he encourages R to drink. He's done a LOT of work helping R to work on his drinking problem and was one of the happiest when R got his first bronze sobriety chip.

• In fact, Bahorel is notoriously good at dancing in a bar, and often goes for the dancing only. In bars, he takes care of everyone - including the DD who lingers in the corner with a beer and their phone, uncomfortably anxious, and desperately needing company (looking at you, Ferre).

• Dropping out of law school has made him really uncertain about life. For the first few months after dropping out, he regretted every bit of it, cried himself to sleep after feuding with his anxious family over the phone, and had quite a few suicidal thoughts. It's not that he's completely certain that life is okay now, but he's much happier studying journalism.

• As a kid, he hated his height and build because he was considered too big for a certain really cute boat ride in an amusement park. He also had eating disorders in high school.

Hi! How are you? I was curious about your thoughts, as a Polish person, about the Netflix adaptation of The Witcher? Was it up to your expectations? I mostly see Americans talking about it but not much Slavic peoples...(Have a nice day!)

Heeey! :D I’m feeling rather fine, hope you’re okay too!

First of all, I’m sorry it’s taken so long! When you wrote that ask to me, I was actually BEFORE watching the series and then when I started I wanted to watch all 8 episodes to be able to answer the best I can!

I must say, I’m a huge fan of Witcher books. I basically grew up with them, my dad even has the issue of magazine about fantasy, where the very first story about the Witcher (like yes, the very, very first debut of the Witcher) was published. So the ‘’book version’’ was forever present in my life (even if I read the story when I was well in my teenage years). That’s why I was straight-up scared that american attempt at making something Slavic into a tv-series will fail completely.

But... The thing is, it didn’t fail! I mean, I’m not crazy and madly in love with the series, but I really do like it. I feel like there’re some things that kind of disappointed me (one of those things is battle of Sodden), but it’s only because I’ve spent years upon years of my life imagining them completely different in my head and it’s just hard to let go of the image I have in my head (for example, I pictured Sodden as an epic and way more bloody battle, on an open field, were just a bunch of wizards almost all died, but totally kicked Nilfgaard’s ass; because that’s literally how it went in the books; I generally think that books are a bit more bloody, and that’s kinda the thing I was missing, I guess). And generally, I think I miss a bit of this native slavicness that is so present in books and games, but at the same time I know that the series would be ‘’too heavy’’ for non-slavic people, if it was 100% Slavic. So that’s totally fine, because I’m beyond happy and beyond amazed that so many people in this world know Geralt of Rivia now! Like wow! Unimaginable! It’s so great to see him everywhere across my dashboard! :DD So, I have like very, very minor, tiny, tiny ‘’meh’’ moments, but overall I think they did a great job with series one! 

Another thing I was really afraid of... that Geralt won’t be geralt-y enough. And guess what? HENRY CAVILL F*CKING KILLLED IT! (in a positive way!) I totally, completely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE his portrayal of Geralt! Sir, you’re doing it great!

Jaskier? Omg, thank you that you haven’t translated his name! And he’s just as perfect as Geralt! Mr Batey, good work! Toss a coin to your Witcher...! (just one small thing, in books they never really argue, not even close to that moment when Geralt straight-up yelled at Jaskier. Uh-huh, no ma’am, best buds for life in books they are. But again, it’s one of this tiny, minor ‘’meh’’ moments.)

Yennefer? HOLD ME DOWN, SHE SLAYS! Also, it was really nice to see the take on her past (in books there’s only like a tiny fragment about how she looked in the past, we never get to know her origins in the books.) I can’t wait to see how she develops in the future season(s). 

Ciri? Well, she didn’t have a very big role in this season, but the actress playing her is like a perfect match to me, and again - I can’t wait to see what happens in the future :D (like a now what happens with her and with Yen in the books-future but the series might take another turns in some points and I’m very interested to see where it takes us.)

And last but not least... CALANTHE! QUEEEEEEN! F*CKING QUEEN! OH MY GOD! I LOOOOOVE HER! I WANT TO BE LIKE HER!

there are actually a lot of male characters that are more human and "attractive" but hey are either one off or background characters. Storkules and his Donald statue are big ones but between the head and crotch areas everybody is essentially a three fingered human.

yeah that’s true for a lot of different duck media.. the more humanoid ones have more modest fashion. any media, any time, you don’t see the gyro shaped ones pantslessbut it doesnt change that female bodies aren’t treated the same as men and, weirdly enough, in the thirties it was cool for donna to go around naked except for the shawl around her shoulders (which is coherent with donald only wearing a top), and in 2017 you can’t show an adult woman duck without pants…. while their male counterparts (so like, same body type) go around butt naked. weird. that dissonance is further accentuated bc girls tend to have more elaborate hairstyle and accessories too. if you’re gonna make the characters more humanoid, to the point showing their butt and crotch is obscene…shouldn’t male and female be held to the same standard?so like… i’m not saying DT17 is Bad And Worse, i’m saying it’s perpetuating the dimorphism in new ways because the characters are looking less, less birdy than previous incarnations. it’s trying really hard with female characters, and it did good things in that regards, but Meh, we’re still not there

(and i’m talking abt design choices only but it ties with the characterization of girls in general and…..yea)

idk if your ask was about dt17 specifically bc you mentioned storkules or in general, but I think even the tall humanoid birds you find in say, PKNA or Double Duck, their body is not treated the same at all as the girls, I don’t see focus on their chest, waist, ass and legs…. it’s not just the issue of female being more anthro than male, it’s also that females Are portrayed as sexy. pkna/dd being the extreme example because it takes inspiration from super hero comics…but if you look up daisy in classic cartoons she’s plenty sexualized already ; in modern ones she sometimes gets a thin waist and boobs, and this is perpetuated in DT17. yeah, this isn’t as bad as sciarrone girls next to little ducky donald, but is it..Really necessary to signal a character’s feminity by giving them boobs…….. 

(btw i don’t have a problem at all with women being attractive and traditionally feminine. it’s good and everything associated with traditional feminity deserve to be portrayed in a good light: og webby wearing big pink bows, loving dolls and animals, being kind and compassionate is a GOOD thing, HDL belittling her because “ew girls” isn’t.)

He’s just a lot of fun to watch too and I want to know so much more about him. Especially what his years living with DD were like. I’d love to see him working his way up to the pro leagues, to see what other people thought about his meteoric rise to the top and if any of the other duelists in the league ever wonder about his perfect win record. I also thought his card game vigilante thing was pretty cool and wish we could have seen a bit more of that.

I Woke up a bit after 11AM, today.

Most of my day was spent on the usual before starting on some exercise.

First, today’s DD. 50 knee-to-elbow twists with EC. Another personal favorite exercise, love the twisting, oblique action a lot! :D

Second, “Fighter’s Warmup”. I’m going to do this one for all the days of the week. I do enjoy doing some bouncing!

Third, Day 1 of the FTP. Today’s combat workout was “The Boomerang“, done at Level 1 with EC. Probably the only exercise I was meh about were the push-ups. But everything else? It was a joy to do!

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”. Same as the warmup - going to be daily for the plan. Didn’t EC this one, this time, but I think I’ll shoot for that starting tomorrow. I probably should incorporate stretching routines more often, but it was no less satisfying!

Sept. 29

I got up a bit before 1PM, today.

I spent much of my day on the usual, but also made an attempt to troubleshoot some problems playing some games. As of yet, unsuccesful. :/

First, today’s DD. 2′ extended swings with EC. I counted 184 reps in total and it was a fun challenge. ALMOST hit 100/minute, but that's ok. :D

Second, “Fighter’s Warmup”.

Third, Day 2 of the FTP. Today’s workout for casual training was “Daily Abs“, barely with EC. I thought I could go right into the knee-to-elbow crunches after the flutter kicks - but in first set I had to allow feet to tap ground and the remaining two as fast as possible to maintain balance with my abs’ energy levels. I regret not setting up a timer closer to my face, because the last two exercises were not fun (trying to hold the pose while craning neck awkwardly to see time passing is not a good combo).

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”.

After a bit of downtime, I did stay up working on that art project. Probably too late for my own good, but ah well.

I woke up roughly the same time as yesterday,

After a bit of gaming, I started on my exercise.

First, today’s DD. 30 infinity circles (supine) with EC. This was pretty doable, takes some stability to keep the momentum going. :D

Second, “Fighter’s Warmup”.

Third, Day 3 of the FTP. Today’s HIIT workout was “Get It Done!“, done at Level 1 with EC. This got pretty winding, as expected, and was tempted to do a couple more sets. But overall it was very fun!

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”.

I then did the dishes, made some diner, and did much of the usual before getting to bed.

I’ve been up since about 7:40AM.

Went to group, started working on a housework delegation doc, and spent the rest of my time at the facility drawing.

Got home, poked a few games and whatnot before getting into my exercise  for the day.

First, today’s DD. 2′ butt kicks with EC. I was certainly dubious about doing this on not enough sleep, but I managed to get through it, barely. I counted 246 reps - however at the ~100-120 mark the heels stopped consistently making contact with the butt. :U

Second, “Fighter’s Warmup”.

Third, Day 4 of the FTP. Today’s strength workout was “Holistic“ (very appropriate title, I might add).  I decided I would go easy on myself a bit and not do EC, today. It was a good call. And I think making myself practice hollow holds more is helpful. Still love the O-Pose!

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”.

Woke up a bit after 11AM.

Spent a few hours on the usual before getting in some exercise...

First, Day 16 of the B&CP, with dad again. It definitely kicked dad’s ass a bit, last 2 exercises being a bit rough, but we got through it on his terms. Happy that he “showed up“. (Past few days was either too busy or draining for us.)

Second, today’s DD. 50 sitting twists with EC. A personal favorite - and really challenging when you try to be very slow and deliberate. It's such satisfying ab engagement!

(After making and eating dinner... and getting a bit distracted.)

Last, Day 5 of the FTP. For casual training, I did more old DDs with EC.

Nov. 5, 2015 - 100 turning kicks, 50/50 while staying balanced. I’ve kept putting this one off, but today I was determined. The only problem is I often sacrifice ROM to keep from falling out and I did have a few wobbly close-calls. I had a few brief pauses to correct myself, but mission accomplished! :D

Dec. 19, 2015 - 50 butterfly sit-ups. I had to use my bed for assist/anchor as the fatigue built up. Feet did hover, but only lightly touched the bed frame for the first 20 or so. I had to gradually use it more, but I made it and I felt it!

Jan. 2, 2016 - 4′ wall-sit. Doing this with fresh-ish quads, while watching more Sanders Sides as an entertaining distraction, and keeping my breath steady made it possible. I did keep my hands to my chest rather than out forward, but I did not brace them so I’ll count the EC. It definitely took some digging in, though!!

Feb. 1, 2016 - 400 backfists (200/200). Oh man, that also took some digging in too, especially the last 100 or so per side + keeping the first side’s arm up for the remaining 200. But it was fun combat work, too!

Feb. 17, 2016 - 40 knee-in & twists. Yeah, more of these after the B&CP stuff, pffft. Everything before really had my quads and hip flexors taxed - but I was able to get this done well enough.

Oct. 3

Been up since a bit before 9AM. Had to rush down my breakfast and coffee because of that, to get to my ride, this morning.

Spent my time at the facility drawing, attending group, and doing the DD. It was 20 supermen extensions with EC, it was very doable. Even if I was sleep deprived again.

Got home, wrote some checks, and a bit of tidying up before getting roped into playing rummy again with the family.

After some hesitation, I did get in the rest of my exercise.... rather late.

First, “Fighter’s Warmup”.

Second, Day 6 of the FTP. Today’s combat workout was “The Clinch“, done at Level 1 with EC. I got through it in one piece... sloppy push-ups aside. That middle combo had a few brain farts BUT when I got into a flow with music... that was simply delicious. =w=

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”.

I got up a bit after 11AM.

One of the first productive things I did today was schedule a diagnostic dental appointment for next week. Which I’m really anxious about and I think contributed to some less-than-stellar time management today. (But it was necessary.)

I did do my exercise, though.

First, today’s DD. 40 split lunges with EC. Not much to say, other than I found this just manageable. :P

(After getting so distracted and midnight coming around...)

Second, “Fighter’s Warmup”.

Third, Day 7 of the FTP. Today’s workout for casual training was “Ab Builder“. I think I got EC, but since I had my feet lightly brushing the floor a few times, probably not quite. Nevertheless, despite being so late this was fun and manageable work.

Last, “Fighter’s Stretching”.

Went to bed way too late again.

I generally think that this last week’s training plan was more fun than the Gladiator one. Probably not surprising as to why. Definitely worth doing more often, this is a good variety of work!

I’m going to post this now and draft a post about the Assassin Training Plan later today.
