Ooooh! Yay yay yay!
Dawn and Dusk's names look so good in Korean! It's funny that Dawn's name takes up so little space. But then Dusk's name is - in a way - stretched out when written in Korean. KAHDfaiuhafgh!
Waaaaahhhh! Youâre doing your Korean version of the ask game!
Okay okay okay!
Is it okay if I ask for⊠(ïŒäșșïŒ;) (Iâve got so many ocs to choose fromâŠ) How about Dawn and Dusk Faust? Iâm interested to know what words you think of for them!
Hiya Erika! I am, itâs been a while since Iâve practiced my Korean so I thought this would be a fun chance to do so đ! Of course itâs okay to ask for Dawn and Dusk đ„°!
Dawn Faust
ë íì°ì€íž
The word I associate with her is ë°ì§ (sounds like âBanjjakâ) which means sparkle or twinkle and ëŹëč (sounds like âDalbichâ) and it means moonlight!
I chose ë°ì§ because I saw that Nacht calls her âSparkleâ and Iâm sure she sparkles a lot to Caelum as well đ€! And I chose ëŹëč because her magic looks more like moonlight then sunlight, and she gives me the vibes of someone that is as cool and radiant as moonlight!
Dusk Faust
ëì€íŹ íì°ì€íž
The word I associate with him is ìì€ììŽ (sounds like Sujubeumi) and it means âshyâ! I also associate him with ì€íŽ (O-hae) which means âmisunderstandâ!
I feel like Dusk is very shy and misunderstood at times, especially by Nacht (and Dusk also misunderstands Nacht at times). But even though he is shy and misunderstood, he is still very loved and cherished by his mom, Cyra, Discordia, and all of his friends, siblings, and cousins!
#lyra of the future#wifey lyra đ#ask game#korean language#black clover oc#dawn faust#dusk faust#soda's ocs#reblogged post#i love the words you've given the twins!#the dalbich for 'moonlight'... maybe it's because i don't actually know the language#but it looks like it could be a german word. and well her papa has a german name#and the words for dusk really do reflect his troubles#he's too shy and he's always misunderstanding or being misunderstood. baby boy...

pop !
giving them a balloon with a confession in it and running away,
premise. out of confession ideas? sick of the pile of stupid papers crumpled up on the leg of your desk? or perhaps you're just in the 'you only live life once' mindset. since the school year is ending, why not get rid of the annoying feeling of him tingling your mind? (in the form of a balloon, you never said you were gonna stick around!)
characters. all sorted by dorm
content. mc runs away after giving it, based on a tiktok I stumbled across approximately a year ago... mentions of marriage (one sign and some were speeding through the future)
note. savanaclaws part hmmm yummy
heartslabyul
unsurprisingly, riddle gets a lot of bizarre things from students and professors alike. confessions are one thing but having one in this... circular, red, full of helium balloon is certainly a surprise. creative, he'll give them that. if anything he's just confused with it in his arms as you just sort of, shove it in his arms and run away. he recognizes you easily but once cater plucks it out of his grip and shows him the message he just turns red.
trey is the type of guy to accept whatever you give him, honestly. it doesn't matter if you give him the most random of items, he'll take it without a single word of query (unless it's really questionable.) you could hand him a bottle of mustard in class, trey'll just blink and hold onto it patiently. a pair of batteries? thanks he guesses. a red, inflated balloon? he spares you a questioning glance but you're already collecting dust with how fast you ran away so he turns it and resists a smile. clearly spotting the bold letters.
the opposite of clover, cater just doesn't take anything from you unless it piques his interest or is just a casual 'hold onto this for a few' like water or something. things bordering past unusual is what he'd hesitate to take, though less given he trusts you. sometimes he doesn't take it all together simply cause he doesn't feel like it. caters probably updated on everything so when you shove the balloon in his arms and beeline he's pulling out his phone ready to scream his ass off in his dump account. (also gotta magicam this, duh.)
will most likely just dump it on the ground without another thought. or hand it back to you. ace does not care about balloons, he might even pop it in your face. that is, if you stayed for more than a second. he feels more inclined to peer further cause you ran away so fast. you looked embarrassed, and he finds out quickly why you'd proceed to never show up to his face for the following week when he spots it. stares at it dumbly for like, a minute before taking off after you... be scared ig.
added to the top ten best moments of his life note on his phone. deuce silently highlights your name on it with the same angry, red bump on his forehead because he accidentally ran into a pole midst trying to find you around the campus. he had the same idea as ace (twins) which is finding you immediately except once he read the confession he promptly lost all his braincells in the process. so he's very excited, slash embarrassed, slash shy? and can't conjure any logic cause it's just your face.
savanaclaw
jokes on you. you think he's gonna make an effort to catch your stupid balloon? leona just watches it drop to the floor. the effort is only exerted when he's absolutely sure you've run away on your slow legs, he's not bashfulânot at all. maybe that's just denial speaking though. he takes one look at the balloon, and pops it with a single dig of his nail. the stare is so brief that you'd doubt if he ever read it at all, when the evidence of your apparent love is now non-existent in the physical world, very much still lingering inside him. leona comes to the predicament that he can't seem to sleep days after.
ruggie is all too familiar with the lack of appreciation some folks hold towards cheaper material gifts. like a luxury jewel, a big, shiny lil' thing ultimately rotting in the closet of some soul cause its the 'price' that counts. he spots the words easily, discerning the black ink. not entirely formed with straight lines, the keen eyes of his spots the wriggles some hold. as though whoever wrote was nervous and he bores an impish grin. (and some back corner of his closet holds no big, pricey jewel, but the deflated balloon is worth all the more to him.)
more likely to leave it on accident. after falling victim to the annoying pranks his other first year 'friends' like to do, with him as the victim apparently. he's more suspicious of it than anything, jack does not want a face full of whipped cream once again. he stares at it like it's an alien and only goes for the initiative to take it into his hands when it rolls and showcases the very bold text, highlighted and straight to the point. jack inevitably ends up accidentally popping it due to the fear that some other person probably saw it, he did not mean to wreck it. atleast not with a messy chain of thoughts, but hey. atleast he got the message...
octavinelle
well versed in catching you in a gentle manner, if you ever slipped (he definitely did not practice.) so azul's reflexes respond quick enough to capture the red little thing with ease. he recognizes it as one of your antics, and he rarely doesn't humor them since it was harmless ones that don't really get under his skin, unlike that of the tweels... the curiosity of looking forward to whatever you had far outweighed any annoyance, and great sevens he might actually combust. ("JADE PREPARE THE LOUNGEâ") <- absolutely ready to initiate the plans he had detailed through a script ages ago if this were to ever happen, with a red face. ha, ha.
either clueless, or already got an idea based entirely on the adorably stiff look on your face. jade easily puts two and two together, it's quite funny because he picks it up and doesn't spare a single look. stalking off to find you immediately, and only then does he take a peek as to whatever made the balloon special, right in front of you cause apparently he's gotta witness your raw embarrassment in the flesh?
floyd is likely not interested in the ball in the first place, he thinks you want to play catch so he runs after you with a laugh that... makes you a lot more concerned. he flings it uselessly to the face of some poor soul before he sprint after you, probably traumatizing them when they spot the 'I like you' on it, and when they realize they got it from the resident terrorist whose definition of 'I like you' is 'you're entertaining, I'm gonna keep on playing with you'. (only blinks when you tell him about it, seeing as he isn't close to releasing you anytime soon from his arms.) caught you!
scarabia
sparkles, around the sun... too bright... kalim's blinding everyone else with his obvious joy. almost immediately turns it and it's clear he saw something he really liked cause he has one of those grins, really wide, showing off his teeth and his face scrunches up to the point where you could barely spot the red irises of his eyes. his lips are wobbly too! and he thought the notion was simply too cute... (so much he just had to send it back, so you could feel what he felt too!) except it comes in a hundred times balloons inside your home.
really confused. is this supposed to be a new form of comfort in the era that he hasn't caught up with yet? jamil does nothing much to stop you from running away, yeah. that's your choice but it did strike an inkling of suspicion in him. with the way you aggressively shoved the balloon in his arms before you ran away makes him think it's contents are supposed to be for him only. seeing as you collected dust with that sprint, so he brings it home. and damn, thank god he did because seven forbid if anyone else actually saw the flicker of bashfullness in his expression, hopefully not his warming ears either.
pomefiore
you try to fool him by not rushing up to him, shoving it and then speeding away for once. but instead calmly placing it in his arms and then walking away like it might be the last time yall have a friendship haha (đ) vil sees right through you either way. dare I say he thinks the whole execution is strange, he means, you could literally just walk up to him and say the exact same thing written on the balloon and he would've loved it either way but eh, atleast you got it out!
don't walk into his room cause you will probably the very prominent place the balloon has in his room. rook surprisingly did not put it on a pedestal which is tame for his nature, but it does have a place in the corner of stuff he absolutely adores. you'd think you'd spared yourself from the embarrassment of seeing his reaction cause c'mon, that was a confession. it's nerve-wracking! but NO cause you spy him outside the window of your class and suffer a heart attack (3rd floor btw)
wherever he read that, epel's jaw drops. people would mistake him as someone who escaped from a mental asylum from the way he's gaping at a balloon like he just got told vil schoenheit got canceled on magicam for some controversy (he in fact, did not.) spends so much time staring at it, and the following where he's managed to snap out of it is spent also staring off into the distance *wedding bells ringing*
ignihyde
uuuuhhhhh... either send it to him digitally or shove it inside his room and dip?? if we're going with the latter, idia doesn't even notice until like, a day after cause he's been playing for. and it isn't even him who notices!! it's ortho!!! even if he did find it he would've ignored it, but behold, ortho, who reads the text in a hilariously flat tone. idia thought his brother was professing his love until the boy reveals it was from you. (nearly falls off the chair, then actually falls when he realizes it's been a day. imagine getting ghosted irl haha)
ortho could be the delivery boy if you're too embarrassed lmao. will help you in constructing a more poetic way with words but honestly the "YOU'RE CUTE LETS DATE" gets it done. boy probably doesn't understand why you don't wanna do it yourself, and records the entire thing, reaction of the person? forwarded to you until he leaves. but now you're suffering through wanting to watch, and not because you're too pussy to actually do it.
diasomnia
what... malleus is the equivalent of '???' like he's seen a few of these unique, forms but he never got the purpose of them. so he assumes it's like, some nice gift of human traditions question mark. so he appreciates it either way, he looks content honestly which is funny cause the terrifying wizard looks kinda silly holding that balloon like it's a child. actually you should've just gave him a blank balloon cause once he spots the confession, oh honey. are you fine with early marriage?
if you can't find lilia might as well yeet the balloon in the ceiling. chances are, he's there and he's gonna catch it. there's already a cheeky smile quirking up the ends of his lips, usually he'd have some sort of retaliation on the personal attack you inflicted on his heart but oh dear, it's strangely blank. he's humming, the round thing upside down as he rubs his chin in contemplation. everyone's just scared at the echoing giggles of the already dark hallway.
an attack? AN ATTACK! unlike lilia who knows how to use the figurative words youth joke about all the time, sebek is... hilariously serious about most things, if not so much that it strikes just a teeny tiny concern in your mind. honestly you didn't take much into account, not the fact that he might consider it as an assault or something because you're already speeding away. apparently not having gotten too far cause he catches up easily and holds you up by the back of your collar like a cat. (you'd most likely have to mention the words cause all he registered was the apparent attack, when he does check he goes redder in the face and accidentally drops you. nows your chance to run!!)
*angelic voice singing* silver, my boo boo, I mean what...? felt something soft being squeezed into his arms, he knew it was you but assumed it was a pillow so he just?? used it as a pillow?? under his head now?? most folks would be confused at the sight of the sleepy guy laying on a balloon cause, one, it might pop and startle everyone in vicinity, two, there's words scribbled on it. although cut off since his head is blocking the way, but the 'LIKE YOU' is really obvious. so he wakes up, glances at it and goes back to sleep, except he couldn't cause the balloon actually popped comically the same time he absorbed it in.

There was no bigger temple in Rome than the Colosseum. A monument to the Roman Empire, an architectural masterpiece as well as a slaughterhouse for humans and animals. They had to die for the amusement of the masses in the pale white sand and under the eyes of the Roman citizens as well as the Emperor's. You've never visited the arena before, it just wasn't the entertainment you usually seeked as you fancied the amphitheater and stage plays of comedies or tragedies. No one really died from a well-spoken dialogue and the stages weren't drown in blood afterwords. Your father was a similar soul with this. As someone who had seen war and death countless of times, Acacius developed a distaste for the useless killing, which he argued was the mere core of the collosseum's existence.
But while one would despise this form of humanity at its core brutality, other's simply loved it. First under Commodus the fights in the arena became more frequent, while Septimius Severus after him didn't change anything in that matter. Under Geta and Caracalla however Gladiator fights reached an all time high, especially those 'special' spectacles with exotic animals or ships. They themselves had an own Gladiator school under their wings, which was due to their wealth filled with the most skillful warriors and the best equipment, that it was almost unfair.
Given the fact that both twins enjoyed the performance in the arena and the bloody outcome, it wasn't surprising that they were frequent visitors. For the Emperor the colosseum had an own arena box with the best view over the inner pit and with two throne like chairs for each one of them to sit comfortably. It wasn't unusual for them to have guests here either and this time it was a special one. The moment Geta and Caracalla stepped out, the masses greeted and cheered for their Emperors, who - at least in Rome - offered them bread and games to forget the common sorrows of life. Both of them were dressed in the finest, colorful fabrics, while their golden laurel crowns throned on their heads. They waited for General Acacius at the balustrade to come forward, join them and speak to the people. He was still their celebrated hero, their triumph card, so to speak. It was an easy way to win the hearts of the people through a figure like Acacius, who was the ideal Roman.
After your father held a small, yet powerful speech about the braveness of the Gladiators they'll see today, a slave went forward to place a cushioned chair between the thrones of the Emperors. You hesitated a second, since usually you would be seated at the side of your father. "Since we've heard that you had never witnessed a fight in the arena befoe, we thought you might like a good view", Geta suddenly explained to you, before he sank into his own chair. "Please, sit down."
Your eyes went to your father for a quick exchange and you saw in them how he displeased this way of treatment, yet he nodded and you sat down. More and more you understood that the situation had a differnt tone in it. It wasn't mere courtesy why the Emperors treated you like that and given the way you'd read their eyes, it was more than clear that you've captured their interest. Usually any woman of the realm would fight for that privilege, but you had seen how your father acted in front of them, how worried he was when you first made your way to the palace - something was off. You knew you needed to pay attention and be cautious.
"Citizens of Rome, the arena welcomes you! Emperor Geta, Emperor Caracalla, we the people bow to your greatness and the mighty of our beloved Empire! Under the eyes of the sun the colosseum presents to you a spectacle like no other!", the high-toned, yet thunderous voice of the richly decorated announcer set the beginning of the show and drew all eyes on the white sand down in the arena pit, where a group of men in armor but with a limited equipment of weapons entered through a door from the Colosseum's catacombs. "First we present to you the brave Gladiators that will be our Theseus' today! They may not need to save their Ariadne, but they'll still have to face horde of Minotaurs today in an attempt to safe their own lives!" With those words a couple of other doors opened and six wild bulls entered the arena. Their massive and strong bodies stirred up the sands with every step of their big hooves. They may've been animals, but they had terrible weapons on their head with sharp horns that grew out of their heads.
Caracalla clapped with a joyful laugh. "Oh i love mythological pieces, even though they forgot the labyrinth!"
Your fingers nestled with the fabric of your dress in nervousness as you watched the men prepare themselves for the attack of the angry bulls, which were already pawing with their hooves. More than one set off to ran towards the Gladiators and given the fast but powerful movements of those animals, it didn't take long until the first fighter got overrun by them and another one faced the horns that drilled themselves like spikes into his torso, where blood spilled like a waterfall. The other fighters tried their best to ran or face the bulls with the few weapons they'd been given. One of them even striked down a beast by pressing his sword into its neck, when it was running towards him. You watched the spectacle with a neutral, yet pale face, while the Emperors seemingly enjoyed the show. Geta quickly noticed the way you followed the happenings down in the arena and leaned towards you.
"Are you not entertained, y/n ?", he asked you in a low voice, still loud enough to overcome the cheerings of the crowd. Your eyes went to him, facing the deep blue of his own, while you tried to put on a mask of apathy. "It is hard for me to understand, why useless killing is viewed as entertainment, I'm afraid," you answered, but it just got you an amused smirk in return.
"Oh it is not useless. You see, nothing is as entertaining as humanity itself. What lies more in our human nature than violence, power and the survival of the strongest? Without that, your father wouldn't be able to win all his great victories and our father would not have been able to secure the Roman Empire after the weak reign of the senate."
"And yet Emperor Marcus Aurelius believed that true strength isn't born in violence, but in mindfulness and kindness. The ability to speak, think and therefore to thrive for something higher than mere survival, is what distinguishes us from animals," you responded in a clear, settled tone. This sudden response surprised Geta clearly as his eyes widened and his fingers tensed up. Even Caracalla's eyes had left the arena for a moment and were locked at you. Even though he followed the fight down there, one of his ears had catched every word you'd said. What a sweet, naive woman you were... it made this whole moment even more interesting.
The corners of Geta's mouth twitched and at first you weren't able to tell if he found your words disrespectful or not. In fact, he'd not expected such a bold answer from a woman, especially not against an Emperor. And even though he wouldn't agree with you, it proved him right, that you were not a simple-minded girl. Naive maybe, but not dull.
"Interesting thought, my dear. But would you recite the words to one of these brave warriors down there too? Who will ll earn their freedom, if violence keeps them alive long enough? We offer them a precious gift, and in return they entertain us."
Your eyes went to the pit again, which was mottled in deep red blood now with only one man and one bull remaining. The moment was intense as both animal and human watched each other with intensity, before the bull stormed forward and the speer of the Gladiator, who waited for the perfect moment, hit his opponent. The massive body fell to the ground and the people cheered in Ecstasy. Geta and Caracalla clapped with admiration for the celebrated Gladiator, as he sunk to his knee and bowed to them.
The next round began after the exhausted and wounded 'hero' stumbled through one of the doors, back into the darkness of the catacombs, before he was replaced by a bigger group of Gladiators, who now had to face armed chariots. Their opponents wore the armory of old Sparta while they teared down one after one with their arrows. You leaned back in silence, watched by Caracalla, whose eyes were taking in her side profile for quite a while now. Even though he loved the fights down there, the blood, the violence... you encaptured him more right now. Your stern face, which carried a deep displeasure for this, while you tried so hard to hide it, it was captivating.
Everyone, even his own twin tend to underestimate Caracalla. Even though he was born a couple of minutes earlier than Geta and was therefore technically older than him, his stature was smaller and he wasn't as tall as his brother. This was accompanied by the fact that he enjoyed the pleasantries the god Bacchus had to offer him: wine, music, arts and sex - even more than Geta did. Together with his rather impulsive way of acting, it often led to the false thought that the more capable brother of them was Geta. Oh, Caracalla hated this, it was a misinterpretation weaved like a thread through his whole life. Because he had a gift, he could read people and together with his extensive web of information sources and spies within the city of Rome and beyond, he had a power that lied in the dark. And it was a preparation he did on purpose after he'd learned about the plot that was once set against Emperor Commodus. Some would've said it was paranoia, maybe it was, but he would call it 'preparation'. Nonetheless it came with the pleasant side effect of knowing a lot about the people around him.
"I've heard that you rather choose the theater over the arena", he said with a soft, yet unreadable smile on his lips. "You're a dreamer, aren't you?"
As you heard his voice next to you, your eyes quickly turned to him. "There is nothing wrong with dreaming, my Emperor...", you answered and he nodded quickly as if he'd hoped for that answer. Caracalla even grinned, his golden tooth gleaming in the light. "No, not at all." My Emperor. The way you've said it with your eyes looking at him. It electrified him, so much so that the cheers of the crowd almost faded in the background. You'd faced the pit and the fighters again, but he was still staring at you.
"Which play?"
"Octavia," the name almost shot from you mouth.
"And you consider yourself to be?"
"Octavia. And you?" You didn't even expected him to give you an answer on that, but meanwhile Caracalla's grin grew wider.
"Nero," he said just as fast as you'd answered before.
Your eyes instantly went back to the Emperor, whose eyes were now focused on the deadly fight between a Gladiator and a chariot rider. He couldn't hold back a chuckle, while he watched how the man pushed his sword through the neck of his opponent, ripping off his head.
Nero.
"Why?", you suddenly asked, this time it were your eyes, that watched him.
"I cannot blame him for setting himself free." His answer was almost like a whisper, yet you heard every word. It was a very unconventional way of interpreting the mad Emperor, one she herself would even despise, if he wouldn't seem to be so certain of it. It meant something more.
The arena fight slowly came to an end, when only to oppontents were fighting for the right to claim the victory. Nearly all of the Gladiators and chariot riders were dead, their bodys laying in the pale sand and drowining it with their blood, a weird composition of death that accompanied your questions about Caracalla's answer.
After a final hit, one of the men went down on his knees. He was wounded, severely, and he now felt the tip of a sword against his neck. He surrendered and the gods had to decide what will happen with him. One of the Gods was Geta, who stood up from his chair and approached the balustrade, while the crowd called for a decision. The Gods need to decide, yet Geta suddenly turned his head to you. "What do we say,...? y/n, should he live or die?"
Your face grew even paler than it already was, your fingers were almost digging themselves into the armrests of your chair. You felt a thousand eyes on you, even though it was only Geta and Caracalla watching you, as well as the eyes of your father from behind. The Gladiator waited, while his opponent's arm was cut off and his head was bowed down as if he awaited death. And the crowd screamed and screamend. Death, Death, Death, Death, Death.
It rang in your ears, you didn't want to make this decision. But the moment you faced the Emperor, just as you opened your mouth, Geta simply bowed his thumb down - Death.
And the sword went down. Death.
The head dropped in the sand followed by the body, the cheers errupted in the arena, screaming the name of the victorious Gladiator. But you just stared into the nothingness that was in front of you, while you bit your tongue to the point of pain. "Don't pain yourself about this, my dear. There was only one answer anyways," Geta said while he suddenly reached out for your hand and kissed your knuckles, before he took his glass of wine. You didn't move, you couldn't.
Caracalla stared at this scenery and his fingers were shaking as his eyes darkened. The intense urge came up his mind: To simply take his brother and throw him from this box into the pit, his neck breaking from the impact. Those thoughts sometimes came and went, but they got more intense every time he saw Geta interacting with you. And this interaction hit a new high point in him that was only interruped by your form the moment you stood up.
"My Emperors, it was a pleasure to join you, but i need to leave now...", you said in a tone that tried so hard to be polite and not carry any emotion, before you turned your back and quickly stepped out of the imperial arena box, followed by your father General Acacius, who bowed and excused himself in an equally neutral tone.
Both Geta and Caracalla watched them leaving, before the taller one of the twins took a deep sip of his wine. "She'll learn to love it sooner or later."

â Smutlet masterlist
18+ Thigh Riding
He looked up at you, his head resting against the back of the couch. A teasing smirk flitted across his face as he watched you chasing your release. Bucky loved studying your features, staring intently. The way your mouth hung open, your brows practically knitted together from the effort you were putting in and your eyelids fluttering with your attempts to keep them open. Bucky loved that about you. You were always all in, including the short panting breaths that escaped from your swollen lips. Yes, he derived just as much pleasure seeing you come undone as you did experiencing it.
âYou're so damn beautiful, Doll.â
You reveled in the way his large calloused hands felt on your hips, the way he held you, and subtly guided your movements as you pushed your uncovered core against his bare thigh. You loved how he bit down on his lip, struggling to contain his own arousal, so desperate to be inside of you.
âDo you have any idea what you're doing to me?"
Bucky moaned as his erection strained against his boxers. Oh, how he longed to press his palm against it, just to relieve some of the tension. No, today he was going to watch, watch you use his body to get yourself off. Then maybe, if you were feeling generous, you'd return the favor. He smiled. You were the most generous person he knew.
âHaving fun there, Doll?â
You noticed how mesmerized he was by your peaked nipples, your blossomed breasts swaying up and down before his very eyes. A soft laugh slipped past your lips, his struggle of restraint amusing you as you watched his nostrils flare and his heavy breathing whistling through pursed lips.
âMind if I have a taste?â
Ultimately, it's too much for Bucky, your beautiful bosom right there on display just for him. How could he not partake? How easy it was for him to lean forward and capture one of those perky beauties between his eager lips. His tongue rolled around your hard nipple with ease. You let him suck it as his hands caressed her twin. Cupping her, pinching her nipple between his vibranium fingers and kneading your flesh. Oh, how he loved the moans you saved, just for him.
âThat's my girl, God, you feel so good in my mouth.â
Once you've given him a taste, he can't stop, yearning for more. You let him leave a trail of blazing kisses across your chest, teeth grazing your skin, open lips sucking bruises up towards your neck, marking you as his. You knew how much it turned him on, seeing his marks on your body, his possessiveness taking over. In turn, his covetousness drove you crazy, dialling up your desire to dangerous levels.
âYou're mine, Doll. Got that? All mine.â
At this point, his hands are all over you, fingers and palm spread across your back, dragging over your silky skin. He skimmed over your waist only to find purchase on the curve of your ass where his fingertips dug in desperately, helping you along the path to nirvana. Encouraging you with lust dripping from his voice.
âGo on, Doll. You're doing so good. Just a little more."
By now, you're so lost in a haze that your movements are less than smooth, and you thank your lucky stars that Bucky has the sense to assist. Your juices are covering his thigh as you shamelessly drag your clit over his bulging quad. Over and over. You have his undivided focus now, he can tell how close you are to falling off the edge into the carnal abyss. He helped you out as pitiful moans left your lips and tired hips faltered slightly. He squeezed his quads, the muscle hardening under you, pushing against your sensitive little nub. Bucky whispered sweet words of praise and encouragement as you let go and cum on his thigh.
âThat's right, Doll, you got this. How do you always look pretty, sweet girl? Keep going, just like that, darling. Only a little more, let it go. That's it, baby, well done.â

âž» labour. part two. âž»
· pairing: aemond targaryen x niecewife!reader · type: part of a series · summary: you reunite with your mother's side of the family when they return to the red keep to defend luke's claim to driftmark, but in all your years apart, she comes to findâwith heartbreakâthat you've seemingly replaced her. · word count: 3,626 · ê°a/nê±: gif
You slide your palms down soft chiffon that is a mixture of shades of blue and green. The former to match your husband's sapphire, the latter to match your house. Aemond had selected the gown for you personally, to wear today.
You cradle your swollen belly, watching as Aemond pulls on his leather boots before standing, making his way over to you with a slight smirk, taking your chin gently between his fingertips as you stare up at him with flushed cheeks.
He kneels then, pressing his palms to your pregnant stomach, and then his lips, while you slip your fingers into silken, silver strands.
"And how is our boy today?"
You shake your head with a grin. "Aemond, we cannot knowâ"
He stands then, cupping your cheek. "Uncle, my beloved. And I do. You've never failed in pleasing me before. Nor will you in this, I am sure of it. There is plenty of time for daughters later."
You blink up at him, nervously shifting under his watchful gaze as you swallow thickly. "I...would not mind either. I only care that it is healthy."
Not to mention there being plenty of time for sons later, as well. It is not as if you're in some race to provide him with male heirs...
You do not say this, however.
He hums. "And he will be. Because he is of our union. Fruit of mine own niece's womb."
He offers you his arm then. "Come, so we might soon be done with this ridiculous bit of pageantry where all pretend, once again, not to see what is before their very eyes."
You silently take his arm, wrapping your own around it.
"I've lost one of mine own, and yet I do not ignore it."
"You married me," you state quietly.
He heads for the door, opening it for you. "An entirely different matter, my love. Driftmark should pass to its legitimate heir. At the very least, one who truly desires it."
He glances to you as the pair of you make your way down the hall. "Do you not think?"
You stare straight ahead. "Yes, uncle."
He hums in approval at your agreeable response.
You stand silently beside Aemond, your eyes occasionally flitting to your estranged relatives across the roomâyour twin, your younger brothers, and your...mother. You watch them as they watch Ser Vaemond, Daemon with a disapproving look.
It has been six years since the Lady Laena was lain to rest at Driftmark. Six years since you had last set eyes upon any of them. And they are all much changed. The boys grown, and your mother pregnant, yet again, with one of that monster's offspring.
You are glad for many-a-reason that Viserys bid you remain at the Red Keep when your mother took up the family's ancestral seat of Dragonstone. One of which was keeping you and that disrespectful, loathsome excuse for a 'man' far from one another.
When you look at all of them...you feel them strangers to you now.
But Aemond has given you a new family. One which you will continue to help grow.
You want a great many children, because you have always desired a large family, but Aemond has also told youâsince before you even floweredâthat it would one day be your duty as wife to him to provide him with as much.
You'd not been much sure what to say to that, so you'd not quarreledâhe despises when you argue with him; says that he prefers you docile and amiableâas you wished for it, anyway. You do hate stoking his ire. He can be...frightful when provoked.
But when he is otherwise...he is wonderful.
You press yourself against Aemond's side, hoping matters are soon settled. Your feet hurt, and you'd like a hot bath to soothe your aching lower back.
And then, no more has your mother opened her mouth to speak, that the doors to the throne room open, and through them your grandsire comes.
You stare with wide eyes, along with all the rest, as King Viserys takes labored breaths and strained steps toward the Iron Throne, struggling every step of the way.
You shake your head lightly, glancing across the room to the Princess Rhaenyra, who has a gratefulâif not also hopefulâlook about her as she watches her father.
"She would push him into an early grave if it got her what should instead belong to another," Aemond whispers into your ear. "For it is not the first time."
The sight of a charred body lying inside Driftmark's hearth flits through your mind. You swallow down a lump in your throat as you nod in agreement.
Your husband then presses a soft kiss to the top of your head.
Once Viserys is seatedâDaemon having surprisingly come to his aid in climbing the steps to the throneâhe expresses confusion to the gathering, which causes Aemond to snort quietly.
And just when it seems proceedings might finally be at an end, Vaemond speaks, refuting Lucerys as heir once more.
And then he goes a step further.
"Her children," he begins, growing quiet for only a moment, while Daemon whispers something which you cannot make out. "Are bastards!"
He shouts it so loudly that the words echo, both in this room, as well as inside of you.
The truth that all can see, finally spoken aloud.
You clutch nervously at your stomach, tears brimming in your eyes.
You hope it does not look like you, then, but not for the first time. You pray that it favors Aemond.
You've not yet discussed what is to be done if it has your hair, your eyes.
You are afraid to hear his answer.
"And she is a whore," he states, staring your mother down, while you swallow down bile.
You look up to Aemond, wondering if he feels it as well: humiliation.
He wed you, after all, even with knowing what you are. Where it is that you truly come from. You wonder if he ever thinks that he made a mistake.
You chin wobbles, so you lightly tug against his sleeve.
His eye meets yours then, and he removes his arm from your grasp and just as you feel ready to breakâterrified that this is it, he's finally slipped away from you; all that you have left in all the worldâhe wraps that same arm around your shoulders, holding you tightly to him.
"All you need be is mine," he tells you quietly, his lips close to your ear. "I could give a fuck about all the rest."
Your eyes flutter closed for only a moment, a hot tear slipping down your cheek as you fill with relief.
"I will have your tongue for that," Viserys states.
When you open your eyes again, he is now standing, a dagger in his grip.
And then Daemon slices Vaemond's head in two in one swift, unexpected motion.
You bury your face in Aemond's chest, refusing to look.
"He can keep his tongue," Daemon states, staring down at Vaemond's now-lifeless body.
"Disarm him!" Otto shouts, causing you to jolt.
"No need," Daemon says, and you hear the unmistakable sound of a sword sliding into a scabbard.
"Call the maesters!" Alicent shouts, and when you look to her, she runs toward the throneâto Viserysâholding him in her arms, begging him to take something for the pain.
Aemond pulls you in the opposite direction, then, leading you away from the gruesome sight that is Vaemond's corpse.
You wonder how many more Velaryons must die before your mother and Daemon are satiated.
You bristle against Aemond's side as your mother nears you with a smile.
He holds you securely to him, glaring at her, ready to make a scene if need-be if she dare touch what now belongs solely to him.
Her time with you has long past.
You have a new mother now.
Ever a nervous habit, you clutch at your pregnant stomach protectively, your heart beating wildly from fright.
Rhaenyra nods to Aemond with pursed lips. "Brother."
She looks at you then with a softened gaze. "I'd like for us to have a word, my love."
She tucks a lock of hair behind your ear. "It is has been too long."
You look to Aemond for permission, while he merely stares at your mother with an unreadable expression.
You clear your throat. "Uncle?"
Finally, he tears his gaze away from her, looking at you instead.
After a moment of silence, he leans down, cupping your cheek, kissing you passionately before reluctantly stepping away. "I shall be waiting for you, beloved niece."
He nods to Alicent. "With mother."
You give him a smile, and a nod, turning back to your own.
She quickly takes one of your hands between each of hers, stepping closer. "I had...hoped you would come and see me once I arrived."
"Yes, well," you pause. "Aemond does not...like for me to over-exert myself, especially now. He... My uncle says that he wishes for our babe to have a serene gestation. Causing undo stress would be...ill-advised."
Her brows furrow. 'Undo stress'? And the way you speak of him...
"How could spending time with your mother ever cause undo stress, my sweet girl?" She asks, raising a hand to cup your cheek, until you flinch away from it, taking a step back, your palm slipping from her grasp.
"You serve..." You glance around, then look back to her, whispering your response. "You and Daemon serve only as painful reminders of all that I've lost. Both...both of my fathers."
You take a step closer once more.
"How could you do it?" You question, tears brimming in your eyes. "Kill him, then force us to stand by and watch as you wed Daemon, instead, the very next day? How? How?"
She swallows thickly.
"You killed them both. Harwin maybe...indirectly. But he had to leave because of..."
You shake your head.
You miss him so dearly. Both of them.
Harwin, who'd brought you dolls, and would toss you in the air just to make you giggle excitedly, and hold you in his arms as he read to you.
Laenor, who had taught you to swim, who'd brought you cake to see you smile, who had once made a necklace of seashells with you, simply because you'd asked him to, even if you'd known he'd had far more important matters to attend to. But he always made time for you.
They both did.
And now she and Daemon are what remain. They are what you are left with.
You glance behind you to Alicent, who gives you a gentle smile and extends a hand in your direction, Aemond waiting for you behind the seat he's selected for you.
You turn back to Rhaenyra.
"I have a new family now," you state quietly, with an unexplainable feeling of guilt and shame settling into the pit of your stomach. "I need naught else."
With that, you step away.
Rhaenyra's chin wobbles, tears stinging her eyes as she watches you take Alicent's hand.
Her daughter...her baby girlâher only girlâthinks her a monster now. You've been in their clutches since you were but a handful of years old. What else did she think so much time away from her side would bring, but this: you seeing her as the enemy. You are...Gods, you are afraid of her.
She can hardly bear such a thought. Now, she supposes, she understands why you stopped writing her. Why you had seemed to slowly slip away from her as the years continued on.
This, too, is her fault. She had suggested it: a betrothal. She'd thought it the right thing at the time. For you and Aemond both.
He'd been such a sweet boy. Pleasant. Had spent many hours in her royal apartments playing with you. Had once...had once fallen asleep against her side as she read the pair of you to sleep.
He'd once gifted her a small ruby ring for her namedayâhad said that red was 'her color'.
Where had things gone wrong?
Driftmark.
The distance had widened by miles that night as you sat, clutching at Aemond while you sobbed for his stolen eye, staring at her across the room in terror while Alicent held one of her son's hands in her own, the other resting atop one of your shoulders.
What if she told you the truth, then? About Laenor? Would it fix anything?
She fears that what is broken here...cannot be repaired.
She mourns for the loss of her baby, her child, her daughter.
She'd simply not wanted to spend her life miserable and alone. Nor did she want for Laenor to. So she'd set the both of them free, but when those ties were cut, so, too, was another, she has come to discover... With unimaginable heartbreak.
Rhaenyra continues her toast, looking to you. "And to my daughter, Y/Nâthough you are a woman now, you will always be my little girl."
She pauses. "I wish for you to know you will always have a part of my heart, and that it remains with you always, despite our distance. And that... I know you will make a wonderful mother once your own little one is here. Should you ever need me, you need only writeâor send for meâand I will be here to help you along. You are not alone."
Finally, she seats herself, nervously sipping at her wine.
And as it soon turns out, she had once again miscalculated.
She had hopedâdesperately prayedâher loving, heartfelt words would move you. Instead...you had taken them to be insulting. All the agony she has caused you, and she thinks a simple toast is all that's needed to mend the frayed bonds between you?
You stand, Aemond's hand slipping away from your pregnant stomach, as you raise the glass of wine he'd poured you. Not that he'd provided you with much of the drink to begin with.
Your uncle had once told you that lushes belong in the streets of Flea Bottom, not at court. And so, you've never been drunk a day in your life.
"Thank you, mother," you reply flatly.
You then look at Alicent with a smile. "I raise my cup to you, My Queen, for taking me under your wing, and raising me up as one of your own during all my years here. For teaching me what it is to be a proper lady; for ensuring I never went without a mother's love when mine own was so far. I am grateful to you every day."
She smiles broadly and you take a sip of your drink, taking Aemond's hand as you sit, settling it back on your belly, choosing to focus on his touch...instead of the shattered look on your mother's face.
When Jace and Helaena take to the dance floor, you turn to Aemond. "I'm quite tired."
He looks at you.
"I think I'd like to retire for the evening. Will...will you come with me, uncle?"
He presses a kiss to your cheek. "After awhile, beloved niece."
He nods toward a household guard, who makes his way over to the pair of you.
"Ser Wyll, please escort my wife back to our chambers. And ensure none are granted entrance to her, save for me, my mother, or her handmaid."
You give Aemond a brief kiss, rising from your seat, silently heading out of the room, wishing for a hot bath and a long rest.
When Aemond returns to you, itâs after youâve had a long soak to relax your lower back and youâve shoved your feet into an ice bath to at least attempt at reducing their swelling.
He finds you laid up in bed, sewing quietlyâworking diligently at your embroidery, which makes him content to see.
He much enjoys you like this: quiet, finding employment in domestic pursuits, and your young womb heavy with his seed as you lie in your marriage bed with a pleasant disposition.
You lift your head, pausing from your current task and you smile softly at your husband. âHow was the remainder of dinner?â
He steps over to the settee positioned before your chamberâs hearth, removing his leather belt from around his waist and unsheathing his sword before retrieving a basin of water and a whetstone from his work bench.
âUneventful,â he replies simply, smirking to himself at the memory of your twin on his pretentious arse while Aegon had held Lucerys down, keeping him in his place.
âYour family flies for home,â he states, seating himself, sharpening the blade he rests in his lap.
He keeps to himself the possibility of your mother returning soon.
If he is fortunate, she will change her mind.
He deeply mislikes the prospect of her coming back and planting ideas in your headâunwanted thoughtsâwhich will serve only to come between you.
She will not part you. In any form. He will not allow it.
You belong to him and him alone. It has taken him much time and effort to cement your bond as something absolute. None shall test its strength, or they will meet their end at the tip of his sword.
Eventually, you rise, coming to sit beside Aemond, watching as he tends to his sword with interest.
âMayâŠmay I try?â
He looks at you for a moment, considering, and you give him a hopeful smile.
He then turns his head slightly to the right, nodding toward where the bed lies. âYou should continue with your embroidery. It is more suited to your feminine talents, my beloved.â
Your smile slowly fades and Aemond returns to sharpening the edges of his Valyrian Steel blade.
You rise then, padding across the room, picking up the small wooden hoop which holds yet another meaningless project within.
You tired of colorful threads some time ago, but Aemond keeps purchasing them for you. And so you keep doing as youâre bid. Because you know of naught else to do with yourself.
You climb back into bed, lying on your side, cradling your belly.
Mayhaps you will feel differentâbetterâonce your child is born.
You pray it is a boy. Because it is what Aemond wants.
His wants must always be yours, too. For he decided that long ago, as well.
You fail to recall the last time you were allowed to entertain a desire that was singularly your own.
You choose to sleep, then, instead of thinking.
Nothing good ever comes from unwanted ideasâŠ
When you wake in the middle of the night, it is to Aemond pressed firmly to your backside, his palm settled firmly over your pregnant stomach.
It is where his touch rests upon you much of the time now since becoming with child.
At first, it'd been incredibly endearing, until he'd told you 'it pleases me greatly to touch that which belongs to me, beloved niece: both of you'. Such a statement had made you feel...uneasy for unexplainable reasons.
You slowly remove his hand, sliding out of bed, and padding quietly across the room.
You know you shouldn't.
If he were to catch you...an argument would quickly ensue, especially given the hourâif you could even call it that: you would receive a stern tongue-lashing, whereas he would merely be the one issuing it before ushering you back into bed, bidding you not to disobey him again, or there would be consequences.
You retrieve his blade from his bedside, watching as your uncle takes even, steady breathsâyour heart pounding in your ears as you turn, heading onto the balcony.
You carefully set the sword down before returning to your chambers for his whetstone and a bowl of water. Once you've both, you go back outside, shutting the doors softly behind you.
You sit, settling his blade in your lap, and you dip the stone before mimicking his earlier actions, dragging it along the side of the sword from hilt to tip.
You repeat the motion a few times, smiling to yourself while you do so. You deem it the least bit more enjoyable than embroidery. The joy mostly lies in doing that which you're not meant to. At least at your husband's command, that is.
Once you've had your fill of forbidden fun, you return everything to its rightful place within your chambers, climbing back into bed, and holding your pregnant belly, hoping, for once, for the very same in regards to the sex of your child as your husband: for it to be a son.
The thought of him treating a daughter as he does you...it upsets you, to say the least.
As children, he'd been so different. Kinder, sweeter, gentler. When he became a manârather, once your betrothal had been announcedâsomething changed within him. He became more domineering then. More...protective. Even if that doesn't seem quite the right term.
He'd stressed to you how the two of you were to be one in the same in all things, because you were to one day be man and wife. How you needed to rely on him, because it would be his responsibility as your future husband to look after you. And how you must obey himâit was important to him that he lead you properly in your betrothal, and still now, subsequent marriage.
How you must play your correct roles: to let him be the man, and you his wife. Meaning you should find interest in those things he finds most correct for you to. Like wearing pretty dresses and jewelry, and sewing, and singing, and drawing, and arranging flowers, while he studies philosophy and politics, and trains with a sword, and rides the world's largest dragon.
As you study the softness of his face while in sleep, you wonder where that sweet boy has gone.
You close your eyes, wishing to find him once again.

A/N: HIII SORRY THIS TOOK ME A WHILE AHAHAH BUT I LOVED WRITING THIS IT WAS SO CUTEEE Here's the masterlist!
Warning(s): Mild cursing, f!reader, your kids love you, pre-established relationship (you two are married), you have twins, Katsuki loves you, just fluffy fluff with like the mildest angst if you squint really hard.
Pairing(s): Bakugou Katsuki x Reader
âąââââââąÂ°âąââąÂ°âąââââ áŽ
áŽÊáŽáŽÊᎠâââââąÂ°âąâïžâąÂ°âąâââââą
It's late. You were in the kitchen, cleaning up from dinner, as your husband finally relaxes in your shared bedroom after a long patrol. It was always like this, Katsuki getting home late, and you were left to take care of your two children in the meantime.
You didn't blame him, of course, you knew how hard he worked, given that he was the number 2 pro hero and with that came a lot of responsibilities. You yourself were number 5, which meant you also had a lot of missions, but thankfully since you ran your own agency, you could manage your schedules easier to be able to pick up your kids from daycare every day.
However, your twins, Kasumi and Akio, weren't as understanding as you were when it came to your husband's attendance at home.
You understood their pain, but tried to keep an open mind for the sake of your family. However, after a two month long mission that Katsuki was sent on, he had consequently missed your birthday, something that might've upset you slightly, but you didn't think it was a big deal.
The twins, however did. They were furious at this point, sobbing as they clung onto your shirt, snot and tears soaking the fabric, but you didn't mind, rubbing their backs comfortingly. You thought it was sweet, how much they cared, but they little voice in the back of your head agreed with them, if only a little. Katsuki was never at home anymore, and to be honest, you missed him.
When he came back, you welcomed him with open arms, but the twins had just peaked their heads out of their rooms before retreating back, as if this was a normal occurrence.
You sigh, and look back at Katsuki, who had a heartbroken expression on his face.
Grabbing his hand, you lead him to your shared bedroom, squeezing his hand softly and getting ready for bed.
Katsuki gets changed but only sits on the bed, and you lie down next to him.
"What's on your mind, love?"
He grunts and looks away, conflicted before looking back at you.
"Do...do the twins hate me?" he mutters, and you frown softly.
"No...they don't hate you Kats, they just...wish you were around more."
Your husband frowns, and you can see the guilt swimming in the depths of his vermillion eyes.
"Maybe you can pick them up from daycare tomorrow?" You suggest, as Katsuki still hasn't said a word.
Katsuki frowns. "But my schedule-"
"Katsuki Bakugou if you do not pick up your children from school tomorrow then I'm sleeping on the couch for a month." You retort back before he can finish.
Your husband's eyes widen, realizing that you've got him stuck. If it really came down to it, he would gladly sleep on the couch if you wanted him to - but you knew he loved you too much to subject you to the same fate.
"Damn it, fine. Don't you dare threaten me like that again, woman." he grumbles and you smile up at him victoriously.
"Awww you love me." you coo, and you kiss his arm softly before tugging him gently to join you under the covers.
Katsuki watches you drift away to sleep, cheek half smushed against his bare chest and he can't help the dorky smile that stretched across his face.
He loved you so, so much. More than you would ever know.
Encircling his strong arms around you, he hold you close, making a mental note to take you out for a nice date tomorrow as well, before drifting off to sleep as well.
When he wakes, you're gone, with a note on the fridge that says that you left to drop the kids off and that you'd be back after work. He chuckles, and decides to clean up the house in the meantime.
He can't remember the last time he had a day off, it felt weird, to be honest. He felt restless, and so he did everything and anything to keep himself occupied while taking a majority of the burden you had off your shoulders.
Once the house was clean, he rifled through your closet, picking out the sundress he loved - accentuating your curves while the color brought out everything he loved about you, which was well, everything.
When you return home, Katsuki's getting changed into some nice clothes, surprising you as he tells you to go shower and get ready while he picks up the kids.
You're most definitely surprised, wondering where all of this is coming from, but you can't say you're upset about him, giggling softly and deciding to play along, feeling your heart warm as you hear the car door shut.
Katsuki parks the car in the parking lot, and approaches the building, giddy but slightly nervous at the same time. What if the kids still hated him? Would he be able to make things better?
However all his worried disappeared the moment he saw his kids' overjoyed faces at seeing him.
Their eyes brighten and they scream excitedly, bolting towards him with speed that was almost inhuman, tackling him and almost knocking him down.
"DADDY!!!!!" Kasumi squealing, leaping up and attaching herself to his leg.
Akio looks up at him, agape. "You-you're actually here?!"
Katsuki chuckles and ruffles his son's hair lovingly."Yeah, I am, bud. M'sorry I couldn't pick ya up sooner...Ya know how hero work is."
The kids nod, hugging him tightly as his hefts them up to sit on either of his hips.
"C'mon you two. We're gonna go surprise yer mama when he get home, got it? We'll take out her somewhere nice."
The twins look at each other micheviously and nod vigorously. "Daddy's in looooove" they sing, giggling uncontrollably.
Katsuki chuckles and can't help but feel his heart flutter at the thought of you.
"Yeah, Daddy's in love all right."

Late Nights
Edward Cullen x reader
Summary: you have a cozy night with edward
warnings: none
A.N. this quickly became one of my favorite fics ever written
"Edward?" You asked. Currently you splayed out horizontally on your bed on a cool fall day. The sweater you were wearing provided you an extra dose of comfort to the general energy of the room. Edward, your boyfriend, was laid parallel to you. His dark blue sweater matched yours. The color coordinating plaid fleece pajamas were also a nice touch on the pair of you. It was something cute you've always wanted to do, couple twinning. And Edward was willing to do whatever to make you happy.
"Yes?" He maintained a easy going smile while looking at you. You had been rereading A Wrinkle In Time. An easy read of course, but always put your mind at peace. Edward didn't have a book to read or really anything to pass time. He says he is perfectly content in your company, but you still wonder what he would be doing had you not been here. Probably pressing those same piano keys in infinite rhythms until disturbed.
"What is your favorite color?" A very innocent question. But what is the harm in that? The both of you have shared some crushing memories and experiences, you may as well know the mundane as well.
His smile grew and his eyebrows knitted. "Blue. Why do you ask?" He didn't have a genuine serious undertone behind the question. He was always trying to learn the way you were. Being unable to read your mind made you a puzzle he reveled in attempting to crack. Every time he would expect you to act in a certain way, you gave him a surprise in return.
"I was curious," you turn on your side and face him. Edward being Edward, he mirrors you. "You seem like a lover of blue. But I could also see a deep green. Like forest green," your voice was kept quiet. The wind looting the leaves can still be heard as you speak. You didn't need to speak so soft, your family was away for the night. You could scream for all that mattered, however keeping a small vocal presence felt appropriate. Anything louder than a calm word would be disturbing the peace of the environment.
His face pinched up for a moment, but then returned to his normal expression. "I fell out of love for green a long while ago. Blue is so rarely seen here, at least in the sky," he finished that quip with a cheesy smile. "Blue being rare has given itself a new place of importance," his eyes glanced down to your sweater then back into you, "in my heart."
Your bodies both hanged off different ends of the bed, luckily your heads were in the same placement. So when you lifted your hand to rest on his cheek, it wasn't a far reach. Your thumb brushed the cool skin, Edwards eyes never left yours for a moment. The golden iris' were filled with adoration. His hand came to rest on yours. The chill adding to the comfort he was already bestowing.
"What do you think mine is?" You whispered.
"Purple, for sure," he answered without even thinking. And of course he was right.
"Asking Alice counts as cheating," he leaned into your hand and chuckled. The kiss he left on the palm made you smile a little harder than you already had been.
"I didn't cheat," he spoke into your hand. "Everywhere we go shopping, your eyes are drawn to the same three colors. Green, black and purple, with a special affinity for purple. Oh and you wear a lot of purple in the pictures of you on your family's mantle."
"Am I that easy to read?" He pressed another kiss to your palm. He shook his head lightly at your comment.
"If only," he joked. After his joke the wind picked up outside, this time accompanied by a steady flow of rain. You sat up and looked at him, he copied you once again.
"If you ran home fast enough, how wet would you be? Would you even get wet?" He listened to your questions while helping fix your hair that had flattened due to laying down.
"Well I would get wet regardless. Probably not too bad but definitely damp." He finished his work and pulled you close to him so your entire body faced him. "And is this your way of kicking me out?" He chuckled again at his smart remark.
"It is very thoughtful that you worry on the safety of a hundred year old vampire." He placed a kiss to your eyelid, "I'd be sure not to run too fast. And I am fully comfortable staying in for the night. But," his voice matched your previous tone, "you must sleep tonight. I want 8 full hours."
"No you are staying." You threw your arms over his shoulders, your faces a few inches apart. "I don't want you outside, especially running in this weather. The roads are slippery," your tone changed to one more serious.
"I was going to sleep!" you argued. "...once I finished the next chapter of my book," you hoped the small smile you sent him would win him over.
"Of the book you've reread numerous times?" You didn't respond, only looked at him and shrugged. "Fine," he always gave in to you. "At least let me read it to you."
You smiled and got comfortable under your covers. You pulled back your comforter for him to join you underneath. He smiled and shook his head. But still wanting to do whatever makes you happy, climbed in. You clung onto his arm, he responded by kissing your head. You were convinced he read the book in a soft, quiet voice on purpose. Because no matter how strong your will to finish the chapter, you still were whisked away into sleep.

uhhhh please tangerine lemon and handler/agent!Reader playing scrabble or monopoly to relax but it's so incredibly not relaxing
this sound so damn fun! enjoy! for fem!reader
~ * ~
"You're a fuckin' cheater," Tangerine hisses as he sulks on the floor. He had completely given up on being a civilized person once the game had become heated. His hair is messy from the constant re-arranging and he keeps loosening his tie like it's suffocating him.
Somehow, It tends to always become heated when playing monopoly with the Twins, so you aren't surprised by Tangerine's manic state. Lemon rolls the dice, ignoring his brother as he delicately moves his thimble.
He's winning.
"Next fuckin' time, I'm the fuckin' bank. I can't trust you for shit," Tangerine piped up again, groaning in frustration as Lemon passes his properties, safely landing on the starting square.
"Paying up, double this time," Lemon smirks as he reaches into the bank and taps his index on the starting square.
"Oi! No! Since when is it double if you land on it?!" Tangerine argues, grabbing the bank and sliding it towards him on his side. Lemon yanks it back, his eyes dark as he sends Tangerine a glare.
"Since forever," you add quietly, organizing your property cards. Tangerine sends you a glare.
"Whose side are you on, love?"
You shrug and smile, still very sleepy. "The winning side so this can be over with and I can finally sleep," you reason with a yawn. You're completely losing the game but it doesn't matter. All you wanted was a relaxing evening.
You should have never let Lemon suggest monopoly.
Tangerine grumbles something under his breath, seeing how sleepy you've become. He does feel bad since the mission has been stressful, mostly because of him, and now he's stressing you out again.
"C'mere," he mumbles as he leans against the sofa, opening one arm so you can move closer.
You happily shift over and sink your nose into Tangerine's chest as your eyes flutter shut. His hand finds your head, massaging a gentle circle with his hand as you hum, feeling yourself drift into sleep. The game has completely slipped your mind.
"Y/n, it's your turn," Lemon hands you to dice.
Tangerine takes them instead. "She's with me now."
"That's not how that works," Lemon begins.
"One more word from you and I'll shove these monopoly bills so far up your ass you'll be coughing up fake money for days," Tangerine quips, his voice eerily calm.
You wince at his vulgarity, but you're too exhausted to speak up, as you tighten your grip around his sleeve and watch through the slit between your eyelashes as Lemon scrunches up his nose and hits his brother's shin from underneath the coffee table.
"Bastard," Tangerine hissed and clutches his leg.
"Fuckin' language!" Lemon scolds, eyebrows scrunched.
Tangerine kicks him right back, hitting the small table with his knee and scattering some monopoly money onto the carpet. His movement causes you to hum and he freezes, looking at your sleepy state.
"You fuâ"
"Shut up," Tangerine whispers harshly, snapping his head towards Lemon as he rests his hand on your head again. Your breathing has slowed and your eyes are fully shut. "She's asleep."
Lemon calms down, slowly picking up the bills as he sends his brother a knowing look. Tangerine is stroking your hair, the game completely abandoned as he focuses on you and making sure no one disturbs your slumber.
"Fuckin' whipped as shit," Lemon mutters, cleaning up the game as he suppresses a smirk. "I win, ya twat," he taunts but Tangerine isn't even listening.
His gaze is locked onto you, watching your chest rise and fall. You look so peaceful and his stomach flips. He knows. He knows instantly that Lemon isn't the one who won.
No. Because how could Lemon have won when you're the only prize that truly matters? And you're not Lemon's girl, you're his girl.
He's fuckin' won.

let it be me | kuroo tetsurou (3)
In which you, as a new divorcée, can't help but crush on your 4-year-old's new PE Coach.
genre: singleparent!reader x coach! Kuroo, fluff, acquaintances-to-lovers
taglist: @patpatspatz @matchagirliris @multi-fandom-fanfic @alittlebirdahgaselx @kuroos--little--kitten @menacejelly12 @aeshiue @dreamlessnight @altheades @loonalockley @not-your-average-fangirl @bertqut1 @sunlixfl-blog @nabboo007
a/n: enjoy! <3 thanks for all the love given to the first part of this story! here's the second part. Third part is coming soon ~
---- previous | part three | next part >>>
"Seems like the night out helped then?"
Osamu can't hide his grin from the way you're flushing a deep red. It's so cute and adorable to see you this way, after months and months of just having the corpse of your soul wander around his coffee bar like you didn't know where else to go.
Now it seems, is a completely different story. You're glowing.
"How do you know that?" you almost splutter out your coffee as you gawk at your cousin from the other end of the bar.
Osamu proceeds to wipe down the counter. It's a Monday afternoon and it seems that the activity has slowed down somewhat, giving him a chance to catch up with you. He tries to stop the smile from spreading across his face as he answers, "how do you think I know?"
"Your brother can't keep his mouth shut now, can he?" you mutter into your coffee with a scowl.
Osamu laughs, "can you blame him? This is probably the first time since your breakup that you've even considered the possibility of going out and meeting new people. Let alone go through with it. You should be thanking him--"
"He takes too much credit for my happiness. He doesn't need more stroking to his ego."
"Point taken," Osamu can't argue with that. His brother is somewhat of an egocentric bastard. One with a kind heart and a nice smile nevertheless. But still a bastard. Done with the cleaning, he walks over to you as he leans atop the kitchen counter, "so? How was it then?"
"Fine."
Osamu's brow raises, "give me a bit more than that, y/n. I'm not stupid."
You pause, "it was..." the words feel weird swimming along your tongue, "...fun."
"Right?" your cousin breaks into a grin, "and how's the little chica doin'?"
"The little chica is a little too obsessed with her PE teacher."
"At least she likes him."
You hum, "point taken."
Talking to Osamu is a lot easier than his twin counterpart, solely because he isn't as dramatic and is rather subtle, able to control his emotions better and easier to have a conversation with actual sense without going off the rails every five minutes. It was refreshing, despite the fact that you didn't spend as much time as the grey-haired young man due to clashing schedules.
"So...this Kuroo guy..."
A groan can't help but fall from your lips as your head hits the counter, "Osamu, I'm twenty-nine. I don't need any boy talk--"
"Oh yes you do honey," he sing-songs and leans even closer, grey eyes sparkling. It's in these moments that he resembles Atsumu so much you wish to whack him one, "just because your father ain't here doesn't mean you get to do whatever you wa--"
"Enough." your hand shoots out, slapping onto Osamu's mouth.
He pulls away with a cackle, wiping his hands along his apron, "I'm serious though. Kuroo's a good guy, but if he ever does anything out of line--"
"Yeah yeah I got it."
"--I'll kick his balls so hard--"
"Osamu!"
"Okay okay," he chuckles and holds out his hands in surrender, and you glower at him from your seat.
It's bad enough that Atsumu has constantly been wheedling some answers out of you. Adding Osamu to the mix is not something you want on your agenda. Ever since that night, you have been exchanging messages with the said PE Coach despite the growing anxiety about where this will all lead to. But in-between organizing events for your job, baking cakes and debating on whether to sign those darned papers, it's been a welcome distraction.
Okay, maybe more than a welcome distraction.
It's been...amazing.
Something to look forward to. Someone that seemed to understand you, your sense of humor, who doesn't judge and makes you smile no matter what mood you might be in. And somehow, it's hard for your heart to just close off when Kuroo is so insistent on making it melt into a puddle of goo.
Like that one time you were late to pick up Sakura from athletics practice for instance, having been taken up with a client on the other side of the city centre only to have rushed through traffic like a madwoman, arriving when the courtyard was practically empty. Panicked and more than a little worried about Sakura's whereabouts, you had found her at the entrance of the gymnasium, playing footsie with none other than Kuroo.
"Oh," Kuroo noticed you first, golden eyes lighting up just as your daughter's head turned towards the source of curiosity, "Mum!"
She'd dashed over and you'd cradled her in your arms, your heart finally able to resume its normal beating now that you knew she was safe and sound.
You'd looked up at Kuroo then, with his ball tucked under one arm as he casually strode over to you. The words felt pathetic and useless as they tumbled out of your mouth, "I'm --thank you, for staying with her."
"It's no problem," he stopped before you, a smile dancing across the curve of his lips, "it's a good excuse to see you, I suppose."
You blinked at him, "huh?"
And then the words hit you like a truck.
Your face colored so fast even Sakura took note, tilting her head up at you as her eyebrows furrowed in concern, "mum are you okay? You're all red--"
"Oh I'm fine, just--you know, the heat--" you were glad for that excuse. Your entire chest area felt on fire, "I--uhm--It's nice to see you too, I guess--Kuroo-sensei."
It was just impossible to miss the sparkle in Kuroo's eyes and you swore you could feel the warmth from him, like a cozy blanket on a cold night wrapping around you. That was before you'd quickly excused yourself and practically bolted.
Another time you'd been late in dropping Sakura off, having slept in and barely being able to shove a few bits of toast down your throat in hopes of beating the morning traffic. Kuroo, it seemed, had been assigned to morning duty that time, and as you'd rushed through the gates with Sakura in tow, you quickly bowed to him before ushering Sakura to her class.
"Go now," you pressed a quick kiss to your daugher's forehead, "I'll see you after school okay?"
"Yes mum," and Sakura had sauntered away as you watched, breathless and chest heaving, a piece of hair stuck to your lip.
"Everything okay, Kosuke-san?"
When you turned to see Kuroo, hands in the pockets of his basketball shorts and looking all too fine with his PE jersey draped over his broad shoulders like a runaway model, your eyes flitted away with embarrassment.
"Yeah," you nodded, "morning traffic is terrible."
"I bet," Kuroo's eyes flitted down and you followed, only to make a small sound of embarrassment as you spotted two different pairs of sneakers on your feet, "someone woke up late today."
You really want to hide. Maybe duck your head in a whole. Maybe ignore himâ
But you canât, and so you can just shuffle awkwardly like a penguin, âIâwas trying out a new style.â
Lame. But what else could you say?
Kurooâs laugh bought warmth to your cheeks and before you knew it, his fingers had come up to untangle the hair stuck to your face. He pushed it back behind your ear.
âSuits you,â his voice drops to a murmur.
Every single cell in your body had exploded and youâd quickly fumbled for an excuse before rushing into your car as far away as you possibly could.
You tried your best to push him to the back of your mind, for there were a million other things to take care of. Like the divorce papers for example, which had been glaring at you from your coffee table ever since the mailman had deposited it right outside your doorstep.
You were all for signing it, but every time you mustered up the courage to, Atsumuâs words rang like an echo inside your head:
Donât do it unless youâre getting something out of it.
It keeps eating away at you, the mixture of guilt and remorse. Not to forget the fact that youâve been adamantly staying away every time you see Aoiâs name flashing across your screen. That all comes to an end one Friday evening when he rolls up in his car to pick up Sakura for the weekend.
Your daughter, unaware of whatâs going on, is quick to stick her face to the window, âpapa!â
Her shriek makes you wince. Once, this name had made your heart warm.
Now, it just hurts.
âHey,â Aoi lets himself in with practiced ease and you turn away to stuff the remaining items in Sakuraâs bag, all so that you can avoid watching the scene because it hurts a little too much.
âPapa, Iâve been playing a loooot of volleyball recently!â Sakuraâs jumping around like an excited pup, ââand I even scored a point once!â
âYou?â You hear Aoi chuckle and zip up Sakuraâs bag a bit too harshly, âyou barely have the height to reach the net!â
âItâs not the actual net Papa!â Sakura scowls then, âitâs a childrenâs net! Papa, you really need to come pick me up more often. Youâll understand what it looks like then!â
âYeah youâre right Kura, maybe I should.â
Ache and longing seep through your chest. You couldnât help not listening in when they were right in front of you, but you did your best in blocking out your ex-husbandâs voice as you wrap up the last of her belongings just as Sakuraâs voice belts out in surprise:
âKuroo-sensei?!â
Huh? Your head whips up so fast that you feel the ache of it at the back of your neck. Sakura meanwhile, jumps up and down in barely restrained excitement while pointing at the window, âmum! Mum did you see?! Kuroo-sensei is here!â She turns to look at you, âWhy is he here mum?â
Sure enough, the said young man stands at the doorstep, hands in his pockets and leaning against the threshold in a manner that has your heart racing.
You scramble to your feet at the same time that Aoi straightens and swivels towards the door.
Surprise flits through Kurooâs eyes, lasting a millisecond before heâs grinning and extending a friendly hand, âhey,â he directs it towards your ex-husband, âIâm Kuroo, Sakuraâs PE coach.â
âNice to meet you,â Aoi gives his hand a deft shake and you want nothing more than to disappear, âIâm Sakuraâs father.â
âYes, I see the ressemblance,â Kuroo smiles wanly just as the said child bounds straight into his arms, âKuroo-sensei! What are you doing here?â
You ignore the way Aoi is drilling holes into your skull. Now is definitely not the time for explanations.
What kind of explanations do you owe him anyway? It's not like he's asked for your permission before he went and played love island with some kind of bimbo you barely knew existed.
âHey munchkin!â Kuroo sweeps her up and she shrieks in delight before settling her back down, âIâm here for your mum today.â
He is? Your eyes widen, finding his own golden irises in a silent question that Kuroo only responds with a bashful grin.
âReally? Where are you taking mum? Can I come along?â Sakura, as clueless as ever, bounces up and down in delight.
Youâre quick to intervene, âSakura, youâre spending the weekend with Papa remember? Heâs been waiting all week to spend some time with you.â
âYeah, donât you want some time alone with your dad, kiddo?â Aoi spreads his arms, âcome on! Didnât you want to go to the zoo?!â
Sakura gasps at that, her eyes going round, âweâre going to the zoo?!â She all but squeaks.
You canât resist smiling at her reactions, leaning down towards her before tucking her hair behind her ear, âthatâs what you wanted wasnât it?â
But her chubby hand grabs onto yours, âare you coming?â
The words pierce you and you take a small inhale. Your eyes find Aoiâs from across the room and though you know itâs not his fault, you know this isnât something he did just on a whim, your eyes say everything you cannot: you did this to us.
Instead, youâre forced to smile down at her, smoothing one hand over the back of her head, âitâs just going to be you and papa today alright Sakura? And then Iâll see you when you get back tomorrow.â
Her face falls and something twists in your gut, âokay,â her voice is small when she answers.
But you have no choice but to let her go, watching as her father grabbed onto her hand and walked out of the door. You canât look at Kurooâs face, knowing that thereâs probably pity written all across his features. Definitely not something that youâd want if the situation were reversed.
Youâre surprised he still hasnât high-tailed it back to his car up until now. But maybe heâs just being polite.
âIâm sorry,â is the first thing that makes its way out of your mouth when you finally gather up the courage to face him.
Your eyes stay glued on a spot along his shirt, glad for his tall height as you continue muttering out, âitâs just a bad time, I didnât know you were comingââ
âActually Iâm the one that should be sorry.â
Your eyes flit up to his, the gentleness in his voice throwing you off guard and what you find in those golden pupils make your heart flutter slightly.
Kuroo just gazes down at you with a small smile, looking a little sheepish, âI realize I just barged in when I wasnât really welcome.â
âNoâno, no! Not at all!â You lift your arms in a sign of surrender, âIâm curious though⊠why did you? Come, I mean. Is thereââ you hesitate slightly, ââis there something you need?â
âWell,â his smile blossomed into a grin. Pressing against the countertop, he leans forward towards you, âI wasnât kidding when I said that I came by to see you.â
His words cause a blush to spread across your cheeks, âdonâtâsay things like that,â you stammer out, âpeople will misunderstand.â
âMisunderstand what exactly?â
âWhat we are, our relationship,â you let out a breath and shake your head, âanyway, it doesnât matter. So? Whatâd you come here for?â
âLike I said,â his eyes are golden glimmers, sparkling with mischief, âI came to see you.â
âSurely itâs not just that,â you splutter.
âMore specifically I came to hang out,â he continues, âI heard thereâs this new italian place that just opened up a few streets down. Since you seem free, would you like to accompany me?â
âIâuhmââ the request is so sporadic it sends your brain into a fuzzy cloud, thoughts scattering and making no sense as you try and piece together a reason as to why you cannot make it out.
Your subconscious is begging you to go, practically kneeling on both knees and jumping up and down in excitement. Your brain though, the logical part, is pulling her hair out at the atrocity of it all.
âFine,â is what you blurt out. Before you even realize what youâve said. But when Kuroo gives you that million-watt smile you think that maybe itâs all kind of worth it.
âââ
âNo way, he wouldnât do thatââ
âOh no, he did.â Kuroo snorts into his drink. Leaning back against the parisian chair in which heâs seated as he splays his legs out before him, you fold one leg over the over, all too aware of how physically close he is. If you moved your leg any further youâre certain to brush against his knee.
A delicious, yet terrifying thought.
Kuroo chatters on with the story about Atsumu being kicked out of the boyâs dorm, âwhen the manager finally found him, they made him do two-hundred pushups and thirty laps around the training grounds. Was a pretty worthy sight, if you ask me.â
âThat sounds exactly like what Atsumu would do,â you canât help but roll your eyes. Trust your cousin to go through all that incessant stuff just because heâd opened his big mouth.
âHow come Iâve never seen you around before?â Kuroo leans back in his seat, golden eyes scanning your face as if trying to piece together his memories of whether heâd seen you or not, âyouâre related to them. You shouldâve popped up sometime in the picture.â
âIââ a lump fills the back of your throat and you press your lips together, look away, âwe weren't close as we were growing up. They were so--so overwhelming and I was a shy kid. Until Sakura came into the picture."
Kuroo's eyes are warm. Warmer as he keeps on gazing at you with a softness, with the kind of gentleness that makes your heart ache. He's not supposed to look at you like that. Most people will clear their throat at this point in the conversation, or turn their head away.
But he doesn't. He just keeps his eyes on you at all costs. Like you're the most important thing in this room.
You're not sure how to feel about that.
"But when they heard I was pregnant, Atsumu and Osamu were there practically every day," a small smile flickers across your face at the memories that resurface, "they took care of me a lot, especially since my parents were so angry."
You let out a small chuckle, but it's definitely far from funny. It sounds hollow even in the bustling restaurant.
Kuroo leans forward so that his arms rest atop the table, muscles bunching and tensing as he does so. Gorgeous, you think to yourself as he says, "you were alone during your pregnancy?"
"Not actually alone," the smile you show now his bitter, "I had Aoi. At the time he was a really good husband. We got married quickly, just civil, because our parents didn't approve of us keeping the baby. It was quite a shock for them. And I had my two cousins to help me out whenever Aoi wasn't there."
"That must've been hard."
"It wasn't that bad," you take a sip of your water, glad for the distraction.
Kuroo shifts, his knee brushing yours. The warmth sizzles up your leg and a knot forms in your chest. God, you really can't take this.
Almost out of impulse, you find yourself blurting out, "Kuroo-sensei, can I ask you something?"
He tilts his head to the side, a sign for you to go on.
"Why--" the words get clogged up in your throat, "why are you being nice to me?"
The last few words are said in a whisper, for fear of what he will say in return. You hide your hands in your lap to stop them from shaking, but it seems your leg takes on a life of its own as it starts jiggling up and down.
"Kosuke-san."
And that's when Kuroo's hand rests atop your knee. Barely there. Yet searing hot.
Your breath hitches.
You blink at him, heart racing.
He cracks a small, comforting smile. The kind of smile that is crooked at the corners and makes his eyes crinkle up, "you're not scared of me, are you?"
"No," you mumble out, "just scared of your answer."
You shouldn't be so comfortable with him touching you like that. It's gentle, barely there, feather light. It should be scandalous. You should be technically ripping his hand off because in any other normal setting this would count as perverse.
And yet.
Yet, his touch ignites heat that sears right through the material of your jeans. Your heart flutters at his touch and your leg freezes in mid-shake, unsure of whether to continue when his gaze makes you feel a multitude of things, things that you're not sure are good considering what happened in the past.
When Kuroo answers next, you almost swoon right out of your chair. His voice dips into a murmur, one so raw and throaty it turns your insides to mush:
"Because I think you deserve some kindness."
"So," your forehead creases as you attempt to decipher his words, "do you pity me, then?"
âNo, wellâmaybe a little, at first,â he catches himself, cheeks suddenly blazing full pink under your gaze, âobviously, itâs hard not to sympathize when I see a single mother doing her best for her daughter.â
âSurely Iâm not the only single mother in that entire school.â
âNo, but youâre different,â Kurooâs eyes fill with warmth, âand also, not all parents are as kind as you are."
"That's not really--"
âYouâd be surprised,â Kuroo cuts you off with a raised brow, âdonât be so naive, Kosuke-san. People arenât as nice as you might make them out to be,â his eyes lock on yours, âbut you are.â
You look away and swallow thickly, âyeahâ I suppose.â
His hand is still on your knee. One part of you wants to move away. The rational part screaming that this shouldnât be appropriate at all. Yet another bigger part of you is squealing in delight in hopes that he never takes it off.
You don't know which part of your brain you wish to turn off and trample on until it's just an afterthought in your subconscious.
Thankfully, the waiter approaches and Kuroo's hand drops away from your skin. He insists on paying the bill despite your best efforts and even goes as far as to drive you back home in his beat-up truck.
"Thank you," you mumble as you spot your front door, void of any activity now that Sakura's at her father's. It's always like this; lonely nights, with thoughts of what-ifs trickling through the back of your brain like a never-ending stream of water that gets muddied the more time passes. You understand and are happy that she at least has a father who wants to be in her life. That's the least you could've asked for from your ex-- well, soon to be ex-husband once you sign that darned paper -- but it's the thought of the other woman that makes you sick in the stomach. Jealousy churns like an ache that spreads and knots and tightens. What if Sakura likes her stepmom better? What if the other woman gives her everything she wants, everything she needs without batting a single eyelid?
You're so caught up in your own head that you barely hear Kuroo's murmur, until he's calling out your name from the driver's seat.
You quickly spin your head towards his, a guilty smile curving across your lips, "sorry, I got lost in my head for a second," you chuckle in hopes that it will dissipate the sudden tension filling the vehicle, glancing out of your apartment complex and glad that, for once, there's a bit of light flickering in the corridors.
"Thanks for bringing me home," you tell him.
"Pleasure is all mine," Kuroo replies. His eyes are on you though, as if reading right through you.
So you quickly try to dispel his worry by saying, "I'm just going to go up and rest. It's been quite a day and--"
"Do you--" he hesitates, purses his lips in thought, "do you want me to hang out for a while? Until you're sleepy and kick me out."
You're not too certain what to do except gawk at him. Which he takes as a cue that you might've twisted his words in the wrong way. For he quickly adds in a scramble of words, "Not--Not like you're inviting me over or anything. Just--I mean, as a friend. I just--I could keep you company."
His words echo in the silence and something in your heart swells at the kind gesture. Kuroo says that you're kind, but he clearly doesn't see how much effort he does for you. And here he is, sitting there looking bashful and embarrassed about asking to keep you company. Your heart melts a little and you agree, showing him the way to the guest parking.
Just as a friend, you try to tell your heart, just as a friend. And nothing else.
-----
If someone had asked you, a few weeks ago, whether Kuroo was a fine catch. You'd probably answer yes and move on with your day.
But now, your life seems so entwined with his that you're not sure whether that's a good or a bad thing.
After your little outing a few weeks ago where he'd decided to keep you company in the dark hours until the very early morning, you'd seemed to have crossed a bridge that you cannot back-pedal no matter how hard you try. If you close your eyes, you can still imagine the vivid picture of the two of you; first at the kitchen table sharing a glass of wine as you kept babbling about random stories and tales from your childhood, before you'd finally landed on the couch playing a crazy game of Mario kart, courtesy of Aoi's mistake of having forgotten his Switch when he'd first decided to move out.
You'd never had so much fun in so long that you'd almost cried yourself to sleep that night, right after Kuroo had stumbled out of your flat. He'd blatantly refused your couch as guest room, saying that staying over would just be more of a hassle when he had early classes the next morning.
But that doesn't stop him from seeing you when he can. Nor you him. And it's become something of an addiction.
He drops by every week now whenever Sakura's gone to her father's place. These nights are spent playing scrabble, watching reruns of Harry Potter like the nerds you are, and holding conversations that run longer than you'd expect them to. It seems like routine for Kuroo to clock out around one in the morning and every time he does walk away and disappear down the corridor, something in your heart clenches at his absence.
The flat does feel a little too lonely once Kuroo's gone. But you'd never tell him that small fact.
Today he's come around a little earlier than usual, due to a special meeting between teachers and parents that the school had organised. He's busy playing house with Sakura while you're preparing the pizza base for your night in, something that you hadn't done since--well, ever since Aoi had moved out actually. But now, you're even humming to imaginary music and glancing at the living room couch where Kuroo is currently giving a full-on review about Sakura's imaginary cooking skills.
Your heart swells tenfold and you swear the sight makes you cry. It's what you crave for, it's what Aoi had done for you once, for your family. Before he'd decided that you weren't good enough and had moved on to someone else.
"--perfect combination of sweet and spicy. I think I'mma gives this Mac and cheese a perfect ten out of ten," Kuroo was saying just as the front door rang.
You went to open it, wiping your hands down the front of your jeans before unlocking the door.
The sight of Aoi always made your heart sink and your stomach churn.
But not today. Today, your heart barely acknowledges him and you think it's good progress. You even go as far as give him a smile, "hey Aoi."
"Hi Y/N," he keeps glancing behind your back and you're pretty certain why; it's the sight of Kuroo with his daughter, probably, that unnerves him.
Your suspicions are proved right when he mutters, "what's he doing here again?"
It's low, like a grumble, so that only you can hear it in this vicinity.
You straighten, "he's my friend. He's spending the evening with me today."
"Like he's been doing every week?"
"Yes," you raise a brow, prop a hand on your hip, "is that a problem?"
"I have one problem, yes," Aoi scowls back, "why is he spending time with our daughter like he deserves it?"
"Why is that a problem? Do you not let--what's her name again? Josie? Jodie? -- do you not let her play and spend time with Sakura?"
"It's Judy, and she's going to be my wife, Sakura's stepmother," Aoi hisses and you can't help but flinch, "don't you think you're just making it harder for Sakura? It's been bad enough with the divorce and everything--"
What? You chuckle and that ignites into a laugh so hollow and void of emotion that Aoi flinches, "excuse me?" the nerve of this man. Your voice hardens, "I'm the one making it harder for Sakura? Tell me Aoi, who's the one who left?"
"I left because I was unhappy--"
"So was I!" you suddenly spit out, anger rising through you. You don't care that Kuroo can hear you now. Well, you should care that Sakura's witnessing one of the many fights you will have with her father. But you can't take it. Not all this belittling.
Not when you're finally feeling something other than this overwhelming grief that plagues you and breaks you into tiny pieces every time you look at that fucking darned document.
Your knuckles shake so hard you have to tighten them into fists that you glue to your sides.
You continue, "I was unhappy and guess why? It was all because of you! Because you always had something--you barely spent time with us after Sakura was born and--and we barely talked! You didn't want to talk. Heck, you made sure to steer clear of me whenever we were in the same darned house," your voice rose with each sentence, the clench in your stomach finally unleashed after restraining it, holding it in for Sakura's sake.
"But I endured. I endured it, because we had a daughter. We had a child, and goddamn it I was responsible enough to think of her first, and not myself," you snarl, for once glad that Aoi seems at loss for words, almost panicked, "and--what? You're lecturing me about making it hard for her? About being selfish?" you snicker and spread your arms wide, "look around Aoi. You know who's responsible for this mess, and it's definitely not me."
The silence that follows your little monologue is so heavy and laden with emotion that nobody dares break it. Even Sakura has stopped talking, though you don't know what's happening behind your back, wanting to keep your eyes on that fucking bastard and end this, once and for all.
When Aoi does nothing to answer -- because what's he going to say when you're right?-- you swivel, go to retrieve the signed divorce papers atop your kitchen table you've been dutifully ignoring until now, and storm back to him.
"And here," you thrust the papers at him so suddenly he shrieks as he grapples with the folder, "you can take your damned divorce papers. I don't need them, and I don't need you."
And before Aoi can say anything else, you've slammed the door in his face.
Bang.
Silence.
You can hear a pin drop.
You're heaving, chest rattling with every breath, gaze fixated on the door.
Breathe in.
Breathe out.
It's the relief that sweeps in first, through the cracks of anger that slowly melt away.
And then, realisation that nothing will ever be the same.
Then, grief.
It hits you like a truck.
Everything you've worked for. Everything you had lost.
You're not sure when your body decides to crumple to the ground, just that there are warm arms to catch you this time before a soft baritone echoes through the side of your head, through your chest and making you want to cry.
Kuroo is talking, and somewhere in-between the lines of numbness and pain you make sense that he wants to take Sakura out for a bit, just enough time for you to recollect your thoughts. You're so lost in your own thoughts that he has to repeat a question twice for you to snap to attention.
"Do you want me to stay? Or do you want me to go? Up to you, anything that makes you happy."
Kuroo is babbling, but the fact that he even asks you for what you want, for once, makes your chest ache with terrible sweetness. You don't deserve him in any shape or form.
You nod, and Kuroo takes it as a good sign, for he prompts, "what do you want me to do Y/N?"
As if on impulse, his hand pushes stray hairs away from your face. The action is gentle, kind. Almost loving.
Almost.
"Take her out," you manage to mumble, "please, Kuroo. I--I don't want her to see me like this."
"Got it." And Kuroo's off, scooping up Sakura with a playful tone, distracting her from the mess that you are huddled over in the corner of the living room as he shoves his shoes on and strides out of the flat so that all is left is you, the echo of silence that remains, and the feelings lying in the pit of your stomach.
-----
It's some time later that you hear the lock twisting in the door. You've managed to pull yourself together by then, finishing up the pizzas so that they're warm and fresh out of the oven. Sakura's footsteps echo against the wooden floor as she runs over to you.
"Mum!"
You force a smile. It comes a little easier when you see your daughter so excited, "hello, you," you coo. She slams her entire body right into your mid-section and your arm wraps around her, "how was the walk with Kuroo-sensei?"
"We saw ducks! And--And Kuroo-sensei let me play on the swings. He even pushed me so that I went up high!" Sakura's chubby finger pointed towards the ceiling to show just how high it was, and you chuckled before hugging her close. Feeling the warmth of her small body against yours is something you'll never really get over. It's like she fits and moulds right into the crevices of your broken parts to make them whole again.
Your eyes travel over to the said young man in question who's been responsible for so much of her happiness, and you soften, "thank you," you mouth to him over the kitchen counter.
He shakes his head and sends you a smile. It melts your insides, warming your tummy and instantly causing your cheeks to flush bright red.
You look away with a sharp swallow, "I've made something that looks like dinner," you propose tentatively, "if you'd like to stay."
You don't look at him as he strides over, big steps closing the gap between the front door and the dining table. He shrugs off his coat in the process, "I'm always in for food."
It would be stupid of you to think that such a normal dinner routine might make Kuroo forget all about what happened a little earlier. But it's the way his eyes search your face when he thinks you're not looking, the way the concern swims in his entire demeanour, like he's not sure whether he can completely relax yet.
Part of you is more than horrified by this turn of events. You don't want Sakura's sports coach thinking you're an unsuitable parent, nor do you want him to know about your personal matters considering he's a bit too close to home. It's embarrassing and humiliating and every time you meet his eyes by accident across the table you make sure to look away as quickly as you can.
The other, more selfish part of you, though, is suddenly relishing in the warmth that Kuroo's presence brings to the flat. And you can't help but crave for more, despite knowing this is not what's best for you and your little girl.
After all, even if Kuroo did think of you that way -- which he doesn't by the way -- he'd be tied down with a liability that's too hard to bear when it's not your own child.
Cleaning up after dinnertime in silence, Kuroo volunteers to take charge so that you can put Sakura to bed. You send him an apologetic smile, quickly going through the bedtime motions with your daughter before you can tuck her into bed.
"Mum," Sakura's voice is merely above a whisper as she cuddles into her blanket. The sight is so cute, it makes your heart swell and you resist the urge to coo, "Are you okay Mum?"
You pause, hiss in a breath.
What are you supposed to tell her?
What exactly are you supposed to say?
You manage to choke out a soft, "I'm alright."
"Is Papa okay?"
"Yes," your heart breaks a little more. You barely manage to murmur, "yes he's okay sweetie. Just--It's been a hard time."
"Why Mum?"
You don't know what to say, so you opt for pushing her hair away from her face, "well, sometimes adults face difficult decisions. And those decisions ...they hurt us. Sometimes."
"Did Papa hurt you today?"
Tears well at the corner of your eyes but you refuse to sniff, refuse to show her that you're as battered and beaten as what your heart says.
"No sweetie, he didn't--he would never hurt me, or you. Because he's your Papa and he--he loves you very much."
"Does he really?"
"Yes," you wrap your arms around her in a hug, hoping that this will dissipate all her queries, all her suspicions of her father, "yes he does. He really does love you. A lot."
From the depths of your arms, you hear your daughter's soft echo of, "okay."
It takes more than just a few minutes for Sakura to doze off. But you tuck her in gently when she does, rearranging the blankets around her frame before slowly backing out of the room. You find Kuroo still at the kitchen sink with your supposed apron around his waist, and the sight of him -- so domestic, like he's been living here all along -- makes you want to cry all over again.
"She's asleep?" Kuroo's voice causes your shoulders to jump. You nod and walk over to where he stands, taking note of the amount of dishes left.
"Thank you," you gesture towards the squeaky clean plates hanging off to dry, "it's all good now, I'll take over--"
Kuroo throws you a look and tuts, "sit down. I'm gonna make us some tea."
"But--"
"Kosuke-san," the dip between his brows deepen, "go sit down."
It's non-arguable and you let out a soft sigh of defeat as you pad over to the couch, grumbling something incoherent under your breath. Does he have to be so perfect at everything? It's almost like living in a fairytale dream.
Or is he just being nice because he wants something out of you?
A shudder suddenly makes its way up your spine and you shake your head, ridding yourself of all negative thoughts. No, he won't do that, your brain chides, he's not like that.
He's not like Aoi.
"Here."
You look up to find none other than the said man settling down beside you, nudging a cup of what seems to be hot water into your hands.
"Sorry," he mumbles, "I couldn't quite find your tea. Your place is a bit like a labyrinth."
"Yeah that's what happens when you have a toddler," you grimace, "but thank you. I do appreciate--" you hesitate, a small smile flickering across your lips, "hot water."
Kuroo chuckles, "right? It was made with love."
You sip on your hot water as a comfortable silence settles over you, with only the hum of the fridge and distant cars from afar filling the room. The weight of all your troubles are finally getting to you, making your body sluggish as it succumbs to the comforts of your pillows.
"Kuroo sensei," you bite down onto your lower lip, before your eyes flutter up to his face to find that he's already been looking at you, "I--"
"It's Kuroo," he interrupts, "we're friends, right?"
You try to bite back your smile, "yeah. I suppose," your head dips back down to your lap, "I just--I wanted to say thank you. For everything. But...especially for today."
"Kosuke-san, I think it's fair enough to say that you were having a hard time," Kuroo answered, "I just did what I thought was right. And--also, not to be that person, but he didn't have to do it in front of his daughter."
"Yeah you're right," you sigh, "well, that's Aoi for you. Selfish, self-centred, always wants what's best for himself."
There's a moment for the words to digest in the air. You sip on your hot drink, not wanting to meet Kuroo's eyes for fear of what you'll find there.
If you had any doubts about Kuroo questioning his interest for you, that had to be long gone by now. Nobody in the world wanted someone who already had baggage, and a physical baggage that would forever be a reminder of your past.
The truth hurts. It punches you straight in the gut.
You suck in a sharp breath, loathing yourself for even thinking about it. For even entertaining the idea.
But then, Kuroo asks you a question. One that instantly breaks down your walls no matter how much you fight it.
"Are you alright?"
You can't help it.
You break.
It's as if all tears once bottled up are suddenly let loose. Pressing your hands up to your face to muffle your cries, you feel Kuroo's arms wound around you again, pulling you insistently to his chest despite your best tries at resisting. But he's warm and for once in your life you don't feel like fighting, which is how you find yourself sobbing into his shirt, hands gripping it tight like he might disappear at any given moment.
All that time, Kuroo merely lets you cry, one hand smoothing over the back of your head while he presses his cheek against your temple.
"Shh," he keeps murmuring into the shell of your ear, "it's okay. It's going to be okay."
Some time later finds you in his arms, practically cuddled up to his chest and your cries reduced to mere sniffles. Kuroo has leaned back onto the couch so that you're resting against him, soft curves pressed to his firm ridges and hands absentmindedly running through your hair in a way that makes your eyes flutter with the heaviness of sleep.
It's comfortable. Too comfortable you might just fall asleep here.
Kuroo dares to peek at your face, noticing that you're staring off into space.
Your phone suddenly buzzes from your pocket, startling you out of whatever daydream you'd concocted. Quickly fishing it out of your pant pocket, you unlock the screen only to find Atsumu's message.
Atsumu: I suppose you're with Mr. Hotshot? Any chance of getting laid tonight? ;)
Your face colours right when you feel Kuroo's chest vibrate with a laugh.
You quickly whip the phone away from his view, "y--you're not supposed to read other people's texts!"
Your heart is practically cartwheeling at this point and you swear you feel sweat dot your hairline as Kuroo throws his head back with even more laughter.
You scowl at him, "what's so funny?!"
"Nothing, oh--god, nothing at all," he can't seem to control himself, shaking his head with a grin so wide it makes the sight adorable for some unknown godforsaken reason. He runs a hand over his face, trying and failing to calm down, "I just--oh man Atsumu. Do tell me more."
"Like I said, it's rude to read other people's texts," you snap.
"Oh I'm sorry, you opened it in front of my face though," Kuroo's grin is so wide that it frustrates you to no end. But before you can shove him away, his hold tightens as he pins you closer.
Your eyes widen, fluttering up to meet his golden brown pupils in surprise. He's warm, and firm, and just about as delicious as you had imagined. It makes your stomach knot, makes you slightly dizzy as you get a whiff of his deodorant--something musky, something that smells just like him.
When he speaks next, his voice has dropped two octaves.
"So how long were you going to keep it a secret from me?"
His murmur sends a chill up your spine. Your hands, not knowing what should be done with them, curl along his shirt.
Your eyes find a blank spot in the middle of his chest, "it's...not a secret. It's just a--a joke. Of some sort."
"A joke?" his smirk widens, "well share it with me too."
"It's none of your business."
"Pretty sure you made it my business by opening it in front of me."
Oh god. You can't even stop your heart from beating so loudly it's like a hummingbird. You're pretty certain Kuroo can hear it. "I--uhm--"
Your brain tries to scramble for words. But it's impossible. Not when he's so close. Definitely not when he's looking at you like that. With those eyes.
"Something tells me you've been holding out on me."
"Not at all."
You're still very adamant on averting your eyes. But his hand finds your chin, tilting it up until you have no choice but to look straight into those beautiful swirls of golden shimmering with amusement and what seems to be -- tenderness? Affection?
"Tell me," his murmur is raw, throaty. Like warm, melted chocolate.
You take a soft breath. Your chest constricts. It's impossible to breathe.
"Atsumu," you start in a shaky whisper, "he thinks--" you swallow, "he thinks that we might have... a--a thing."
"A thing?" his arm laced around your middle tightens slightly, "what makes him think we might have a thing?"
"Well I don't know, I--' god, is this supposed to be this hard? To admit that you have a small crush? You suck in air in-between your teeth as you bite the inside of your cheek, turn your head away, "I guess I talk a lot about you."
He hums in reply, "I like the sound of that."
And with another tug at your chin your eyes have no choice but to lock on his. There's a softness there in those beautiful pupils flecked with long, drawn out eyelashes.
""The sound of what?" you blink.
"Us having a thing," Kuroo's hand seems to find it fun to caress up and down your hipbone. His touch is searingly warm against your skin, "you talking about me, you blushing because of it."
"Well don't be so full of yourself," You huff out, "you're a good friend, and I'm grateful--"
"Y/N."
Woah.
You've never imagined the sound of your name falling from his lips. But here it is, laced with some kind of attentiveness, with some sort of affection that makes you weak at the knees and causes warmth to drip to your lower belly.
Your lips part. But you find you can't seem to formulate words. He continues, "I like you, not just as a friend. I think you're brave, incredibly kind, smart--"
"What are you doing?"
"Huh?" Kuroo frowns, "I--What does it look like I'm doing?"
"I don't know," you're starting to panic, pulling away slightly in the process, "that's what I'm asking you."
"Well I--" a small chuckle echoes past his lips, "I guess what I'm trying to do is ask you out."
"Oh." the words take a few seconds to register in your brain.
Oh.
"Oh." you repeat like an idiot. Oh shit.
He's actually serious.
Oh shit.
Oh fuck.
"Uhm--" your throat has suddenly gone so dry that nothing seems to come out of It no matter how hard you try.
Kuroo just lets out a small laugh before his hand goes up to push a few stray hairs out of your face, "cat got your tongue?"
"Kuroo-sens--I mean, Kuroo--" you try to stutter out through the butterflies rippling through your chest at his gentle action, "It's not that simple, I--I have a daughter. It's a responsibility. A liability. And I'm no casual dater, I'm more of a long-term relationship type of girl."
"And?"
"And there's absolutely no reason for you to like me other than as a friend, because I have baggage. I'm not a single woman, I'm on the brink of a divorce and I have a four--almost five year old -- always running around," you realise you're babbling but it's impossible not to, especially not with him looking at you like that, "trust me, that's probably the last thing you want--"
"When I say I like you," Kuroo murmurs, "I mean all of you. And that includes Sakura."
"You don't mean that, until you actually experience--"
"I do mean it."
You shake your head, "Kuroo I--"
"Can I just take you out?" There's a slight note of desperation in his tone. In a smooth motion, the hand twined around your waist slips up to your hand, thumb drawing soft circles over your wrists as his eyes pin you down with an intensity that makes you want to squirm, "just one date. That's all I ask."
Your immediate response is no. Because why would you? You're literally just getting out of a relationship. The last thing that you want is another of these holes that you'll take months to recover from. And what if Kuroo decides you're not what he wants after all? He's younger than you, dashingly handsome, and can get whoever he wants in this entire world.
So why you?
But as soon as you open your mouth to tell him no, your thoughts fly back to this afternoon; the way he'd cared for Sakura when you were having a mental breakdown, the way he'd cradled you in his arms like you were fragile porcelain, the way he hadn't hesitated the moment you'd asked for help.
Even back then, Aoi hadn't taken charge this way. Aoi hadn't even bothered. And so you'd gotten used to not asking. To do things all by yourself.
Looking back into those golden-hued eyes makes you hopeful. And that's the worst thing that can happen to you, hope. But still, it's impossible to say no when Kuroo's gazing down at you so fondly. Like you're the only thing holding his world together. like he'd do anything to be with you.
So you say yes.

AUTHORâS NOTE |Â Â Hi, hello. Thanks @itsnotmydejavu for all the brainstorming. I really appreciate it! This was more fluffy that I anticipated lol. We really need more dad!teez fics out here~
"Joomi, I think we should make Daddy fall in love."
"With who, Jooeun? Y/N?"
"Yeah! Wouldn't Y/N be a great mommy? She already takes really good care of us! And she's mommy's best friend."
"Mommy would be happy if Y/N was our new mommy."
The two five-year-olds were huddled by the stairway, looking down the hall into the kitchen where you stood by the sink and Jongho cleared the table. After their mom passed away, the twins knew that their dad was struggling to raise them himself, he had no clue what he was doing. When you, their mom's best friend and their favorite person in the whole wide world, moved into the home to help out, they were thrilled.
They knew you had been close to their mom, but seeing how much you care for the three of them just proved to them even more that you are the perfect match to take over the role of their mother. You cook all their favorite meals, you read bedtime stories to them, and you even help them brush their teeth! You loved all three of them very deeply and would do anything for them. The girls admired you and adored your kind heart and the loving smiles you had for their dad and them. The girls noticed the way the two of you looked at each other when you thought no one was looking. Their dad had it bad and Joomi could tell that you did too. But you and their dad always insisted you were 'just friends' and that there was nothing more than that. So, being the bright children they were, Joomi and Jooeun put their minds together to hatch a plan.
If they made you two fall in love, you could get married, and become a family!
Their dad was walking into the kitchen. "How did their snacks go? Were the girls okay?"
You nodded. "Oh, it went wonderfully. The girls were perfectly sweet the entire time."
Jongho exhaled a sigh of relief. "I'm sorry for leaving. I had to stop by a client's office since we are having trouble meeting a deadline for a project that needs to be completed by Friday. If anything were to go wrong or anything would happen..."
You put a hand on his arm, stopping him from rambling. "Everything was fine. Don't stress yourself out, everything's under control here. You just take care of whatever work you need to do."
Jongho nods but hesitantly stops. "I'm...just afraid something will happen. The girls...they've been through enough. I feel bad for asking so much from you, I don't even pay you to take care of them or live in my home or-"
You chuckled. "Hush. No money is necessary to watch over the people I care about. Plus, this is more than a payment. You've given me a place to stay, food, and the company of two adorable girls. Now stop worrying."
The look Jongho gave you after that was too warm and sent butterflies fluttering throughout your body, but it made your cheeks heat up.
Joomi and Jooeun made small noises of "falling in love, falling in love, falling in loveeeee," over and over while they looked over at their dad and you by the stairway. They were careful not to be noticed by either of you and they were patient as they watched.
"Okay...you're right," Jongho breathed out a heavy sigh and you saw the way his shoulders visibly relaxed, his built figure leaning forward and closer to you.
You laughed. "Let's start planning a summer trip, okay? When things are not as busy."
He smiled. "That'd be lovely."
As soon as he said that, you heard the girls giggling by the stairs. "Were they listening to our conversation this whole time...?"
You covered your smile. "Probably."
Jongho scrunched up his nose, laughing to himself. "You know what they're trying to do, right?"
"I mean- they've been playing their games lately..." You let out a small laugh.
You can see Jongho shaking his head from behind you. The two of you walked up the steps, approaching the kids at the top and grabbing them. The girls screech playfully in shock, holding back a snicker at what their next plans could be. Jongho holds both of them in each arm, one girl in each, and you're unable to hold back your laughter at how precious they are. Jongho carries them both off to their bedroom, where he drops them softly on the big bed that the two girls shared. They're laying on their bellies, kicking their feet back and forth like fish, a huge grin plastered across both of their faces.
"I know your tricks, ladies. So do be a little less obvious about trying to play matchmaker." He scolded them playfully, hands on his hips and giving them a pretend serious look.
Joomi snorted, still kicking her little feet. "We've noticed you and Y/N."
"What does that mean?" He chuckled.
Jooeun flipped over, the bedsheets making a small swoosh sound underneath her as she laid down on her back. "You and Y/N have crushes!"
Your eyes widened. You felt yourself redden up. "Oh. Girls! No no no, your daddy and I are just friends. Best friends! Like, soooo best of friends!"
Joomi furrowed her little eyebrows. She glanced back and forth from you to her father. "You and Daddy love each other like mommy did, but don't kiss."
"Or...at least haven't kissed. Yet," Jooeun sang.
You let out a shaky sigh. "Where are they learning these things? Don't go saying things like that, the two of you."
Joomi nodded with a shrug. "Why not? Are you embarrassed?"
You let your gaze wander over to Jongho to look for some support on the matter. But Jongho was flushed and looking everywhere other than at you. It was obvious that this wasn't an easy conversation for either of you to have, much less in front of the twins.
Joomi noticed your actions and she smiled, snapping her head over to her father. "What? Are you embarrassed, Daddy?"
Joomi was giving him the same look she always did when she's trying to convince him to get something for her. With big puppy eyes, a wide smile, her bottom lip out with just a twitch at the end. Her eyebrows wiggle just a little, begging him silently and sweetly. She and her sister knew their father couldn't resist when they pleaded in that certain tone of voice, looking in their sweet little girl ways. They've played their games so many times, so why not try again?
"Joomi..." Jongho sighs, putting his hands on his knees, not being able to escape her large dark brown eyes. "What am I going to do with the two of you?"
The twins only let out tiny laughs, shrugging and hugging each other in the bed as Jongho stood. The girls love him very much and are grateful they have such a good father, despite their circumstances. Jongho leaves the room and you stay in the room with them, sitting on the bed, wanting to get to the bottom of where the girls' idea of a crush came from.
"Who told you about what a crush is?" you asked the girls after they sat themselves on the bed and changed into their PJ's.
"Uncle San!" Jooeun squeaks as the top half of her head peeks out of her PJ top.
You internally facepalmed, thinking about how Jongho's older cousin, San, was whispering conspiratorially with the girls after they asked him questions about life in a school filled with friends, crushes and parties.
"We thought you and Daddy liked each other," Jooeun had confessed innocently.
"Do you hate Daddy?" Joomi frowned, getting teary-eyed as her head pokes through the collar. "Do you hate us? Are you going to leave?"
You give her a hug, cupping her face with your hands and giving a sweet, reassuring smile. "No, no, no, sweetheart. Not at all, it's just complicated. Please don't say those things again, okay?"
It hurt, seeing the disappointed looks in their eyes and on their pouty lips, but you tried not to show it on your own face.
"Promise?" Jooeun had pleaded.
You took in a shaky breath. "Of course. Come now, time to get to sleep."
You helped the little ones into their beds, tucking the blankets around them and reading from a fairytale book as the light to their night-light flickered from the wall outlet. They slowly drifted off to sleep and you shut the bedroom door with a gentle click behind you. With a sigh, you approached the master suite across the hall and opened the door quietly, catching sight of Jongho flopped stomach-down on the mattress, buried with a duvet as you chuckled at the sight.
You clicked the bedroom door shut as you entered, stepping over to him. "The kids are asleep," you announced softly, moving to sit on the side of the bed and leaned over, poking his shoulder blade.
With a quiet huff, he rolled over, his face and shoulders now facing you. His fluffy hair lay flat over his eyes and a low sigh passed through his nose as his eyes shifted to meet yours, eyelids drooped.
A smirk found its way to the corners of his mouth. "Those two will be the death of me."
"You know we'll have to tell them about us eventually if they keep it up with their shenanigans," you warned him, laying yourself overtop of him.
"I was thinking of ways to approach the subject with the girls in my head just now." he revealed to you, reaching his arms around you. "I'm nervous that I don't know what they're really thinking or feeling."
Your hands came up and framed Jongho's cheeks. "Oh, Jongho...those girls are too smart. They even asked San about what crushes are.â
"San? Why'd they ask him?"
"That's not the point." you whispered, running your thumb across his soft cheek. "Do you think we should sit down with them? Explain?"
"Explain what? That their daddy and their nanny are secretly in love with one another because they can't stop sneaking kisses in secret places of the home?"
"Shut up." you said with a playful nudge at his chest.
"But you admit those kisses are nice." Jongho says as he sits up, dragging you onto his lap, the blanket sliding down his toned chest as his arms remain around you.
"Extremely," you confirmed, wrapping your arms around his neck as you feel the hands on your waist move to cup the underside of your thighs, adjusting the way you're positioned on him.
"Hey." Jongho brushed his nose with yours as a whisper against your lips.
"Hello," you replied with a giggle, already finding his mouth and leaning in with the full intent of kissing him again.
"Would you be happy with a widowed, single dad?" He continued to stroke the back of your leg with his fingers. "What it be wrong for me and the girls to be happy again?"
The tips of your thumbs draw little circles on the back of his neck. "Nothing is wrong with that, Jongho... I think Eunmi would be happy if you and the girls were finally able to move on and be happy."
"What if that happiness was with you? With us?" he asked, pressing his forehead against yours and rubbing his hands up and down your sides and you gently rub his back with your fingers.
You lean into the embrace and inhale, closing your eyes for a moment, then pulling away. "When Eunmi told me her last words to take care of you and the girls... I think maybe that was her way of telling me that it was okay for us to be happy. It's not like we're strangers. Not like we haven't been together before."
You and Jongho had known each other for years, and at one point, the both of you dated back in high school for a year or two but broke off your relationship for various reasons. You met Eunmi in college and ended up staying good friends with her throughout the rest of the years. And when you found out that Eunmi and Jongho started dating and eventually got married, you couldn't have been more pleased for the two of them.
You were never jealous that Eunmi and Jongho were together. Never jealous when they got married or when you helped Eunmi with the twins' birth.Â
Never once.
Because you loved them dearly and you wanted them to be happy together.
When Eunmi fell sick and lost her fight with the sickness that plagued her body and spirit, she pleaded for Jongho to promise her to live his happiest life possible, and that meant starting a family all over again. Because she couldn't anymore. She couldn't raise their kids, or start over as husband and wife with Jongho, so the least she could ask for was for him and the girls to be happy. When you visited her in her final days in the hospital, she grabbed your hand and asked you a favor.
"If you love Jongho and want him to live a fulfilling and happy life... then please, look after him for me when I'm gone," she had begged with tears in her eyes. "You know how to take care of our girls, and if Jongho were with you and the girls are happy with you, I know he would be more at ease. With more help, with love...and if somehow the both of you were to fall in love all over again with one another...don't leave him, okay? Take care of him...take care of the three of them...love them, make them happy...my family is your family now."
That was over a little more than a year ago, and Jongho, although still hurt over his past love's untimely loss, was healing. So were Joomi and Jooeun. That was proven by the fact that Jongho was finally starting to love again, albeit slowly, after a while. The twins were right. They knew that he was happy when he was around you, just like he knew the twins were happier when you were around, just as their mother, Eunmi, knew the same thing.
And the last promise he made Eunmi on her deathbed was one that he will make sure he keeps.
Live his best, happiest life possible, even with the way that his life was now.
Even if it meant being with you, the woman he once loved before and recently was falling for again.
Your thoughts are interrupted by the feeling of your back hitting the plush comforters as Jongho shifts to pin you on the mattress below him. You look up and see the gleam in his eyes that have turned a shade darker from before. Your hands snake their way around his neck as he reaches and traps your face with his fingers and palms. A mischievous smirk danced across his features, his thumb rubbing the spot below the corner of your mouth, his index and middle finger rubbing at the shell of your ear. You shivered at his actions.
"Let's make them happy, Jongho..." you cooed, relishing in the soft, tickling touch of his fingers along your neck and shoulder. "Let's be happy, together, with them. Like Eunmi asked."
"I love you, you know that? I can't help but think that Eunmi knew what was going to happen, the whole time," he expressed with a big exhale as you pull him forward and close. "And she never once left me. Never doubted that I loved her even with my...previous feelings for you resurfacing."
"She loved you so, so much, Jongho. Don't ever think she didn't love you, or that she thought you didn't love her, despite the things that happened when we were in high school," you reminded him with a reassuring smile. "She loved you until her final breaths and beyond, and wanted nothing but a lifetime of happiness for you and your girls. You deserve that. Everyone deserves that. Including you."
"Do you love me too...?" he whispered against your lips, his thumb grazing your cheek.
"Always have, always will," you promised, smiling and finally pulling him in for a sweet kiss.
The next few days passed in a blur. The girls were constantly scheming or attempting to make you and their father become 'official' to their little eyes. You and Jongho would playfully play the fool, knowing their secret plans, and doing small things that would give them the belief that their tricks would work.
But in actuality, you and Jongho were having a good time trying to guess what would come next. One day, you woke up early and had just finished washing the dishes from breakfast. The girls scurried up behind you, wrapping their small bodies around your legs like adorable monkeys clinging to trees.
"What are you two up to, huh? Going to try and climb Y/N like a tree and claim that I stole your new favorite?" You hear Jongho joked as he leaned on the doorframe between the living room and dining room.
The twins giggled in unison at the ridiculous accusation as Jongho slipped closer, grabbing both girls from either side and tickling their sides as he lifted the twins up on his broad shoulders.
"Never! Our favorite is still you, Daddy!" the girls gasped in between fits of laughter as you watched on in amusement at their antics.
You rolled your eyes at the girls' silliness.
"Careful there. Make sure the two of you are hanging on tight," you playfully warned them as they straddled Jongho's shoulder blades.
The two girls immediately sat and hung on to Jongho for dear life, faces buried on either side of his head. You and Jongho chuckled at the adorable display of their devotion. You reached out and bopped the twins' noses in turn as they peered up, big bright grins adorning their cherubic cheeks.
The weekend is arriving soon, and with it, comes an overnight trip for the four of you.
"Are we there yet, are we there yet, are we there yet?" the twins cried out, looking out the passenger's-seat windows in anticipation.
"We'll be there soon," you laughed from the front seat where you were seated beside Jongho as he drove along the road to the campsite.
You and Jongho decided to take the kids camping, along with his friends and their kids to get a break from the bustling city life. His friend Mingi has a lakeside cabin and lots of land on which you can pitch a tent, start a fire, roast marshmallows, swim in the lake, and go canoeing or kayaking, just a few hundred meters away from the cabin itself. Jongho explained this to you as you looked out the window, smiling and watching the pine trees on either side of the vehicle whizz by at lightning speed.
Your thoughts drifted from the scenery out the windows to the scenery in the passenger seat beside you.
Jongho has his eyes focused on the road. His mouth was set in a small smile as he maneuvered the vehicle and focused on his driving, looking back into the rearview mirror to glance back and see his children giggling and talking amongst one another.
Then his dark brown orbs flickered over to your side briefly before his eyes landed back on the road before him. He turned and tilted his head towards you and his smile only got wider as his eyes crinkled at the sides, an adoring look settling over his handsome features.
"What's on your mind?"
"Not too much," you murmured, not realizing that you were being called out because of the pensive look you've been wearing on your face while looking out the windows. "Just thinking about stuff, you know, as a typical human is prone to doing from time to time."
"Got something you wanna share or something you want to keep to yourself?"
"Mmm...let me get back to you on that one."
Jongho let out a chuckle, shrugging and facing forward again. He kept his hand on your thigh the entire drive.
As soon as Mingi came into sight and everyone pulled up and parked in the driveway near his cabin, the twins were ecstatic. Unable to keep themselves in check as they jumped up and down and opened the door, they hopped out onto the ground and rushed towards him. Jongho's other friends' kids did the same thing and rushed forward, enveloping Mingi in a big group hug and pulling him downwards to smother his face and neck with affectionate kisses and screaming 'Uncle Mingi! Uncle Mingi! We're here!!' at the top of their lungs. A look of bewilderment crossed Mingi's features and he laughed heartily.
"Oh man, I wish I was that popular," San muttered as he watched the kids crowd the tall man, shaking his head.
"You're just jealous that Haru likes Mingi more than you," Wooyoung said teasingly, punching San's shoulder playfully.
"But I'm his dad!" San said with wide-eyes.
"And Mingi is his favorite uncle." Hongjoong pitched in.
"I've been replaced." San faked a dramatic swoon.
"Yunhee, make sure you get money from Uncle Mingi!" Yunho yelled at his daughter who only responded with a loud 'Got it!' from Mingi's front porch before turning around and giving her father a thumbs up.
You watched as the kids greeted Mingi on his porch and then he turned his attention to the adults and waved enthusiastically, pointing at the cabin door.
"Lunch is inside already and is ready whenever you guys want! Help yourself! We got games set up in the back if anyone wants to get their butts kicked in basketball or kickball. We also have kayaks in the back we can take out onto the lake. We've also got plenty of seating on the deck and some patio furniture. Make yourselves at home!" He announced, his voice booming out with laughter.
The adults nodded at him, not missing the mischievous twinkle in his eyes as he continued to yell at the kids. "KIDS. There's a small playground behind the cabin with a swing set, sand pit, slide, etc. and the water's right behind that. BUT-"
With that, the kids perked up and looked at him, eye-wide, eagerly hanging on every word that would leave his mouth.
"But~ If you don't behave well, Uncle Joong and Uncle Hwa are going to turn into super spies and capture each and everyone one of you!" Mingi announced in his serious adult's voice as he eyed the kids before continuing with, "Don't even try us! You can run, but you can't hide. Uncle Woo and Uncle Yeo have superhuman hearing and can detect trouble-makers from a hundred feet away. They'll be on you before you even realize it! Uncle Yunho and Uncle San have lightning reflexes! One little slip up and they'll snag you faster than your father can!"
The kids gasp and run past them in a hurry towards the playground that lay behind the cabin. The adults looked amused after their gleeful retreat, and it's not long before the noise of playful squeals and shrieks fill the air.
You and the rest of the adult pack burst into a fit of laughter at the fact that Mingi just riled the kids up into a frenzy. The others looked back and watched their offspring tear into the backyard. You watched a fond look cross Jongho's face, the smile reaching his eyes as he watched the scene in the back unfold.
"Jongho," Mingi said, interrupting Jongho and shaking him from his thoughts. "Are you and Y/N okay to share the bedroom in the back of the cabin? All the kids wanted to have a sleepover in the living room, and all the other bedrooms were claimed, save for one. I mean, I could sleep on the couch and one of you can take my bedroom..."
"It's okay, Mingi." Jongho smiled, pulling you to stand beside him and wrapping an arm around your waist, looking at you for approval.
"Ohhhhhhh~" the rest of the guys exclaimed, slapping him on the back, playfully. They were happy that Jongho was moving on.
"Wait," Wooyoung cried out, confused, "Wasn't there another room open?"
Mingi wiggled his brows. "Totally open."
âSo whyâŠâ Wooyoung scrunched his face in confusion. Then his eyes widened in understanding when it clicked in his head. "Oh. Oh, damn!"
"Did you plan this or something, Mingi?" you laughed.
He holds his hands up. "Nah, the kids suggested sharing the sleeping arrangements. I would've switched our sleeping places around, but Joomi and Jooeun gave me puppy-dog-eyes and asked me to go along with their plan. Don't think any of the adults or kids here could resist a face like that."
"The twins and their shenanigans. Their mom was such a schemer so the apples didn't fall far from the tree," you said affectionately, remembering the woman you called your best friend.
"They take after Eunmi but their hearts are in the right place." Seonghwa laughed. "They know that you two like each other and have been wanting you two together for a long time. Guess today, we're accomplices to their 'Matchmaker-Twins'. Right, Captain?"
"Yes, we are," Hongjoong piped up.
You giggled at the remark, realizing that the others were in cahoots with the twins' scheme. You rolled your eyes, not surprised that all the kids and adults are in on the plans the two made for the day, the rest of the group joining in, egging the girls on, and enabling the twins to go along with their plots and plans.
After helping the twins and the other kids settle into their 'camping spots', and getting them properly settled in their temporary sleeping arrangements in the living room and putting them down for a nap, you and Jongho retired to the back room to relax in peace and quiet until the kids wake up again.
The two of you climbed into the bed and under the sheets, settling down on top of the covers. You and Jongho simultaneously sighing in relaxation and content. Jongho rolled over onto his left side and pulled your body, snug to his and against his chest, hooking his chin on your shoulder.
"Want to get a quick nap in?" you ask.
"I know something that will put us right to sleep," Jongho whispered, pressing a gentle kiss against your neck, right below your ear, causing you to shiver at the contact.
"Now?" You teased, a smirk playing across your features.
"Why do you think Mingi gave us the very private room in the cabin? I guarantee he put two-and-two together, plus heard my little munchkins' schemes, so..." Jongho retorted, continuing his little trail of pecks along the expanse of skin on your neck. You bit your bottom lip in anticipation. His mouth was trailing hot and open kisses along your exposed flesh, his tongue flicking at the curve of your shoulder. The trail continued downward until he was stopped by the cloth covering your skin. Jongho looked up at you. "What do you say, baby? Wanna?"
In response, you reach down to pull up the shirt you were wearing up and over your head. Dropping it to the floor next to the bed. "We need to hurry, though. Mingi said the kids are probably going to wake up in the next hour, maybe, to finish up their outdoor activities."
"An hour is more than enough time," Jongho murmured against your jawline, pulling you towards him and capturing your lips in a hungry, passionate kiss as you grind against his groin. "More than enough..."
The atmosphere grew heated rather fast and in no time at all, the two of you were bare of your clothes, warm skin touching warm skin, his lips chasing yours and yours chasing his, trying to feel him as close as possible.Â
"Get your pretty ass up here. Ride my face." Jongho demanded.
"You're kidding," You choked out in disbelief, he shook his head at your words, his hands traveling down your curves.
"Nah, get up here. Sit on daddy's face." His words were a breathy moan against the crook of your neck and you felt yourself blush from head to toe.
"Jongho," you whined.
Jongho moaned desperately and pinned you to the bed, lifting you by the back of your thighs easily and throwing your legs over his shoulders as he laid back on the bed, his dark eyes burning into yours, "Please?"
"Are you trying to kill me?" You asked, giggling as he stared at you.
"Just turn around," Jongho chuckled, and the next second you gasped as his hands grasped you tightly and pulled you around to where his face was inches from your soaked core. "Hands on the headboard and keep still."
His firm demand sent heat shooting throughout your stomach and down into your aching pussy, and you quickly scrambled to grab onto the headboard. You almost jumped out of your skin as his tongue took a long, slow lick up the length of your slit, your grip on the wood tightening as he slowly began circling his tongue over your clit.
The wet heat that pressed against your sensitive bundle of nerves was almost overwhelming and you ground your teeth as Jongho began pushing his tongue against you rhythmically, licking and sucking at you as he tried to fuck you with his tongue. His ministrations were methodical and measured, never picking up the pace too much, but applying an immense amount of pressure every time he moved against you.
Your head was swimming at this point, the feeling of his soft mouth pressing against your drenched pussy was sending shockwaves of pleasure all throughout your body, causing your nipples to harden and your mind to reel. You couldn't keep yourself from whimpering slightly at the way his fingers dug into the soft flesh of your thighs, and your hips jerked downwards involuntarily in an attempt to feel his tongue deep within you.
A guttural groan erupted from within his throat, and it reverberated against you as his grip on your thighs became impossibly tighter. He pinned you against his mouth so that you couldn't squirm against him again, keeping you on his tongue so that it could continue massaging over every sensitive bit of your pussy.
And before you even realized what you were doing, you had clenched your thighs around his head, not allowing his head to budge from underneath your hips. He moaned against your flesh and picked up the speed of his movements, sloppily lapping at you and dipping his tongue deep inside, stretching your clenching walls, working your entire core in a way that was sending you barreling into a quick and intense orgasm. Your legs bucked out on either side of him as you moaned loudly, pressing his tongue deep inside of you.
"Gosh, Jongho! F-Fuck!" You moaned, pushing your hips down and riding his face vigorously until your entire core pulsed, sending warm shockwaves rippling through your whole body.
When you finally finished clenching your thighs around his head, Jongho managed to lift his head up just enough to begin sucking hard on your oversensitive clit. "Don't fucking move," He murmured against you.
As your head slowly spun, he held himself there, moaning against your wet flesh. Jongho would not allow you to recover, and his tongue never stopped its movements, continuing to lick at your walls as if he could drink every bit of you in.
"Taste so goodâŠ" He breathed, kissing your inner thigh gently.
"Oh please..." you whispered and gasped as the pressure of his mouth against you suddenly increased, Jongho moaning obscenely beneath you.
"You make the prettiest noises..." Jongho said as you felt his hot breath fan against your overly sensitive pussy, his mouth moving against you rapidly, almost as though it couldn't kiss you deeply enough. "Couldn't help but be noisy could ya? Little tease..."
"Baby, I can't cum again..." Your whole body was beginning to spasm now as the warmth between your legs threatened to burst again, his lips pressing hard against your clit and sucking deep and slow. Your vision was going white as the pressure built in you. You could feel yourself climbing toward yet another earth shattering release as you leaned against the headboard for support, knuckles turning white from your iron-like grasp.
But Jongho never let up, relentlessly dragging his mouth over your swollen sex and moaning hotly as he pleasured you, eyes closing in rapture as he lost himself in the taste of you. "Can you cum again? Can you cum on my tongue, beautiful?"
Your grip on the headboard tightened impossibly and before you knew it, you were cumming, your body jerking in time with your pulsing pussy, soaking him as you released everything within you.
Once your high fizzled out, and your heartbeat returned to a normal rate, you were feeling your body growing tired. Your fingers and arms and legs were sore. "Jongho..I need a break..." you sighed, leaning down to try and push his head away, your words sounding more desperate than you'd meant them. "I can't cum again like this, it's too much.."
"Then do you want me to fuck your pretty pussy?" Jongho asked, looking up at you through dark eyelashes as he circled his tongue against you. "I could kiss this pretty pussy all day long, but I don't think you can wait anymore."
You bit your lip hard at the words and glanced behind you to see Jongho pumping his thick member with his hand, still holding you in place with his other arm. "Please..." you murmured.
With a pleased groan, he helped turn you back around, moving both of you until he was positioned on top, spreading you wide apart and nudging his tip against your swollen entrance.
"Stop teasing me," you whined, the sight of his twitching length inches from where you needed it made you a bit crazy. Jongho chuckled lightly and captured your lips as he slowly pushed himself in.
You could not stop the moan that escaped your lips the second Jongho was balls-deep inside your pussy, your arms flying around his neck, clinging on tightly. He fit inside you so well, filling you up in every conceivable way, the tip of his cock hitting every hidden part of you.
His lips travelled along your neck and collar, sucking and kissing the soft flesh. Your mouth was still agape, hanging low with no sound, only letting out little gasps as his tip brushed past the deepest part of you, sending warmth radiating throughout every nerve-ending.Â
"My beautiful baby.." Jongho hummed, pulling out gently before pounding into you, one strong arm wrapping around your hips and lifting them so he could pound against a different spot deep within you.
Suddenly it seemed to you as if Jongho's tip were brushing over your clit each time it pulled back before sliding deep into your entrance.
You gripped him tighter as his hips moved back and forth. Before you knew it, Jongho's name tumbled out of your lips as he hit a soft spot of yours.Â
"Jonghooo..." you moaned, losing your mind.
"Gonna fill your pussy up with my cum...make you take it..." Jongho growled, snapping his hips up again with more force.Â
"Wanna give you my kids. Would you like that? Add another to our family?" He groaned against your neck, squeezing your ass, then swatting it.
He pushed himself in as far as he could, biting your earlobe as his member twitched inside of you, "Tell me, baby. Do you like being a mommy to me and my twins, and being my pretty wife? Don't want anyone else...only my baby. I love you so much. You and my girls..."
"I love you and the girls too, Jongho. So, so much." You respond, feeling the tell-tale signs of the pleasure building deep within.
"Do you want to cum, my love? Gonna take every drop of daddy's cum inside?" he moaned into your ear. His husky voice was so hot, and the feeling of him, pressed into you, so unbelievably warm and powerful, caused your body to tense, and then go limp under his strong hands. "Want to give you a baby too, sweetheart. I'm ready for another set of twins, and another set after that, if I'm blessed with it."
And when Jongho slid his tip between your sensitive folds, hitting every raw spot he could as your body shook, that was it. The walls of your pussy contracted against him, a gush of his cum emptied inside of you, making its way to your awaiting womb, hoping for it to take seed and create more lives. You moaned and threw your head back, thrusting your hips upwards to meet his one final time.
Jongho grunted into your shoulder as he fucked his load into you, cumming as deep inside you as he could possibly go and taking deep breaths.
You wrap your legs around his waist, locking him against you and pushing his cock to the hilt inside your dripping walls, not willing to let a single drop escape. His pulsing cock makes your core pulse. The two of you stay as still as possible as you catch your breath, Jongho breathing hot air down your chest.
"Don't you dare pull out yet, Choi Jongho," you ordered firmly. You needed him close, wanted him near you. Jongho smiled up at you.
"Is that what you want?"
"Mmmmhhmmm..." you moan, and wiggle your hips to make his cock stir your insides. Jongho moaned back into the mattress and grabbed your waist tightly. You squeal in delight at his sudden movement, then press your lips firmly against his, claiming him as your own.
"Y/N...would you marry me?" Jongho asked softly a few minutes later, as he propped up on his left elbow and looked deeply into your eyes, stroking your hair gently. "Officially be the girls' mother and my wife? I was hoping..."Â
He reached down beneath the pillows, and pulled something from underneath it. He looked shy as he revealed a black velvet box in the palm of his hand, holding it out towards you. "Would you, please?"
"Yes, Jongho." You say in response, watching him open the small, velvet box. Jongho exhales and a smile appears on his handsome features as he pulls the ring out of its housing, sliding the metal band on your ring finger of your left hand. "Absolutely yes."
It fit perfectly.
He crushed his lips to yours and you sighed into the passionate kiss, running your hands through his hair as his tongue pressed inside. It felt good, almost too good, but he pulled away and laid back on the bed.Â
After a while of cuddling, kissing, and playing with his hair, Jongho buried his head in the crook of you neck. "I think we should clean the sheets, shower and just cuddle..." He said quietly. "I have a feeling that the girls will barge in once they're awake and we don't need them seeing this mess or smelling the room."
You hum in agreement. You and Jongho kiss softly, barely audible 'I love you's' being whispered between the two of you, your fingers running through his silky strands. You love this. You're so in love and you can't imagine not being with Jongho, and you truly love and adore his two girls.
After getting the room and the two of you cleaned, and the sheets changed and clothes pulled back on, the two of you laid comfortably in bed in each other's arms.
Jongho turned so that he was hovering over you, one hand propping him up, the other lightly caressing your cheek and thumb tracing your bottom lip. He lowered his head and brushed his nose against yours, lightly pressing his lips against yours. He pulled away to see your cheeks a rosy tint of pink. He leaned his forehead on yours and chuckled. He went back in to continue kissing you.
The door flew open and the bed dipped as two weights jumped onto the end of the bed. Jongho rolled over, the twins landing in the bed, bouncing with their jump, laughing loudly. Joomi moved to sit on your lap, and Jooeun did the same with her dad.
"How was your nap?" You asked the girls, hearing the loud screams of the other children and their parents somewhere in the cabin.
"Good but we're hungry and Uncle Joong told us to wake you up for lunch, so we did! But we didn't run here. We walked." Joomi said.
"Yes," Jooeun agrees.
"Are you sure you walked or ran? I heard some feet scampering down the hall when I woke up," you smirked and booped their noses. They giggled.
"Y/N, are you and Daddy a couple now?" Joomi whispered in your ear. You heard Jooeun asking her dad the same thing.
You and Jongho both chanced a glance at the other before saying at the same time, "Are we?"
Jongho laughed before leaning in and giving you a small kiss on the lips. He also glanced at the girls who were jumping and cheering in your arms. "Why donât we get you girls and Mommy something to eat?"
"I could hear them telling the other adults that their little plan worked." You whispered. The twins were talking your ears off, excited that you were going to be their new mother now that you and their daddy had finally gotten together.
"I love you." Jongho kissed you as the four of you walked together out to where the other adults were, to have their lunch.
"I love you, too." You kissed him back before kissing the top of the twins' heads. "And I love my new little girls so much."
The twins squealed and screamed louder, "Mommy, yay!" They both launched at you, hugging the life out of you.
"C'mon Mommy, lunch now!" Jooeun pulled you forward towards the table that had been set up for the lunch buffet style. Joomi held out her hands, palm open, to her dad. Jongho chuckled before interlacing his fingers with hers. The four of you walked towards the long table where the rest of your friends and the kids had already made their way to and piled their plates with their food, before sitting together and enjoying their food.
"Told you the plan would work!" The twins exclaimed, the adults laughing.

October Trick or Treat Fill #8: Jaehaerys receives word of the twins
This time we have a trick! Which in this case means "something that wasn't on the prompt list." Though it could mean something entirely different next time it appears as a poll option, so be warned...
This fill won't make much sense unless you've read Fill #7 aka the first part of Regnal AU aka "consummation babies" as it's a continuation of that, where we get Jaehaerys's POV of receiving Baelon's letter sharing the happy news.
x~x~x
Father,
I bring joyous tidings from Runestone: our family has grown by two! After a dayâs brave labor, my good-daughter brought forth a pair of screaming babes, furious at being parted from the safety and warmth of the womb. Though the birth came one moon early and they are yet small, their lungs are quite healthy indeed, and the maester assures me that they are as healthy as can be.
Your heart would swell to look upon them, as mine has. The name of the eldest is yet to be decided, as it is a matter of fierce debate between Daemon and Lady Rhea, but the younger is to be Aemon. He is the very image of my brother. I swear that I can see him in his eyesânot only the color, though that too they share, but the manner in which he studies me, as though he knows things that I do not. His hair is strikingly light of color, just as Aemonâs, though the maester has reminded me that it will yet darken, perhaps to something more like mine own. Selfishly, I wish otherwise.Â
And the eldest! Daemon is insistent that he should be Baelon, after my own name, while Lady Rhea favors Hubert or Rodrik, after her great-uncle. He reminds me of Rhaenys at birth, hair dark like his motherâs. His eyes are as a field of lupin clouded by storm, and it is already plain to all that he has a warriorâs heart. If his brother is out of his sight for but a moment, he howls his displeasure at the world, whereas his brother Aemon howls whenever he is given into Daemonâs arms, much to my sonâs dismay.
Words cannot describe how it is to hold them. I feel as though a piece of my own heart has been returned to me, and I am certain that they are destined for greatness. You may discount such as a proud grandsire regarding his first grandsons, but it is more than that. You will understand when you meet them.
All of this to say that it is my intention to remain at Runestone beyond the original moon I had planned. I beg your indulgence in this matter. The realm is peaceful and we are at the height of summer, in a time of plenty. Should that change, I shall of course hasten back to your side, but Daemon is yet young to be a father, at only seven-and-ten. Although he has made great strides as a husband since the wedding, I would offer him whatever guidance and wisdom he needs. It is quite a thing, after all, to suddenly find oneself a father twice over!
Please give my love to Mother and sweet Gael. They will adore the twins as surely as I do. I only wish our family could meet them sooner! It is the maesterâs recommendation that they remain at Runestone until their first year has passed. As such, I seek your guidance on the matter of dragon eggs for their cradle. I know that you have forbidden that any be taken outside of Kingâs Landing, but it is good for the health of the babes. I implore that you consider it. If you are amenable, I shall gladly fetch and safeguard them myself.
Your son, etc,
Baelon
Jaehaerys leaned back in his chair, allowing himself a celebratory sip of wine as he reread the missive from his son once more. It was far cheerier in tone than anything his son had written in the years since Aemonâs death, which was heartening on its own. He had hoped that his sonâs first grandchild might grant him reprieve from his grief, but his joy at Rhaenyraâs birth had been fleeting. That he had named the younger child after Aemon, howeverâthat spoke to a healing all its own. Merely hearing his brotherâs name spoken would on occasion plunge him into despair.
Twins. Jaehaerys looked out the window of his solar, into the warm morning sun piercing through. Was it a good omen, or ill? Rhaella and Aereaâs birth had been heralded as a blessing, yet his sisterâs family had come to sorrow and ruin. Aereaâs deathâ
He set his wine cup down, mouth tightening at the memory of it, even after all these years. It had been a thing of horror, but best not let himself fall into the trap of superstition over reason. He had watched his line dwindle over the years, sons and daughters claimed by death, one by one, to Alysanneâs everlasting grief. The holdfast stood nigh empty, save for Baelon, Gael, and Viserysâs small family.
His sons had given him but three grandchildren, and from them, three great-grandchildren.
For Daemon to have nearly doubled that number was encouraging, and made suffering his grandsonâs bitter protests over his match with Rhea Royce more than worth it. Rasher than his father, and with an arrogance not matched in deed. Fatherhood can only improve him.
Would that he could swap Daemonâs success for Viserysâs lack. The match between Viserys and Aemma had been more than fitting, and yielded a great-granddaughter, but his granddaughter had suffered four miscarriages already, which did not bode well for future children from his eldest grandson. And yet it was Viserys who would take the throne someday, after Baelonâs reign.
Even so, the birth of two great-grandsons was to be celebrated. At not even nine moons past the wedding, they could very well have been conceived that very first night. If the gods are good, it is a sign of things to come.
That the children had been born at Runestone was unfortunate. It meant waiting for their presentation to court, though that could also be for the best. He was no stranger to sons who never reached their first name day. But if Runestoneâs maester insisted they were in good health, despite the twinsâ early birth, then that was encouraging.
I could send Allar to attend at Runestone, Jaehaerys mused. Doubtless a house of Royceâs standing would have a capable maester, but royal children deserved the very best of care. And then there is the matter of the dragon eggs.
There was a reason his sonâs letter had taken on a wheedling tone. He greatly misliked the thought of any eggs leaving the care of the Dragonpit or the well-guarded holdfast. Elissa Farmanâs theft was not so distant as to have fallen out of memory. There would be those who might expect dragon eggs to find their way to Runestone, and seek to steal them.
If they are as healthy as the maester claims, then they have no need of them. When the babes were old enough to travel, they could be brought to Kingâs Landing and have dragon eggs placed in their cradle then. Doubtless his wife would petition Baelon every moon to have them brought here.
His eyes fell once more upon the one paragraph that had drawn his attention. I am certain that they are destined for greatness. Baelon was inclined toward excessive pride in his children, as he had been with both his own sonsâ births. But for him to insist upon it, to have already found such solaceïżœïżœïżœ
Jaehaerys sighed, feeling his bones creak with the motion. Baelonâs dark mood since Aemonâs death had been a matter of concern for years now. His son attended to his duties as Hand with diligence, but little satisfaction. Jaehaerys had begun to fear that the Iron Throne would be the same for him, a burden rather than an opportunity. It was not a fear he would have had a decade before, when his sons had been eager with possibility.
If anything happens to the babes, it could plunge him into despair. In that, his son was far more alike Alysanne than him. Precautions would be needed, but perhaps the prospect of Baelon finding new purpose outweighed the risk of dragon eggs falling into the wrong hands. After all, no dragons had come of the eggs lost before.
He may have his dragon eggs, but I cannot fathom what he is thinking in allowing Lady Royce to entertain such names for a Targaryen child. That must be quickly settled. Daemonâs stubborn pride is of some use here, at least.
Jaehaerys took up his quill. It will be a pain to be without him for a time, but Hightower has been agitating for his younger brother to be appointed to some role within court. He can take this opportunity to prove his usefulness in Baelonâs absence.
#resonant trick or treat#resonant trick or treat fills#resonant 'verse regnal au#if you wanna know where daemon got his proud papa'ing from it's definitely baelon

For Sam x reader.
Ghostface is back and had followed the Carpenters, the twins, and Amber's older sister, Reader, to New York. No one trusting her because of the fact that her little sister was Ghostface, Reader is in disbelief, and Sam breaks up with her on the spot. Fast forward to the end, where Ghostface is dead, everyone's being treated by paramedics, Reader is seen walking away from the scene alone. Kirby asks where she is, Sam then sees her walking away, holding her broken arm to her body, and runs after her and apologies for not trusting and believing her. (Reader saying it's too late for sam to apologize. She then walks away from her friends, from Sam.)

You stood before Amberâs Ghostface outfit, reaching out to touch the fabric before you remembered where you were -- who youâre with. The glares given to you by the rest of the group burned at the back of your skull. You can practically sense their judgments. Since the first Ghostface attack in New York, they pointed their fingers at you. You understood, given what you've all been through. Can't be too careful. You didnât care that you saw the contempt on your own girlfriendâs face. You stayed by her side, understanding where she was coming from.
Being related to a previous Ghostface was something you and Sam had in common. When you are linked to a person with that track record, it sticks with you even if you are different from them. Trust becomes hard to give. And out of everyone, you figured your girlfriend is the one who understood the most about what itâs like. However, it looks like the sentiment isnât shared.
She approaches you, getting the courage to ask, âCan we talk?â
You can tell whatâs about to happen before Sam can utter what she wants to say to you.
Nothing good ever comes out of conversations like these.
âIâm sorry.â Sam stares, her gaze cold, nothing like the Sam you fell in love with. With each deafening step she takes away from you, your heart shatters just a little bit more. You are wounded by the way sheâs looking at you. Any wound or injury you might sustain in the next few minutes will not compare to the poison laced in the invisible knife held against your throat by the woman you love. âI canât take any more chances. I canât trust you. Weâre done.â
You scoff, glancing towards the group in hopes that they would back up your claim. âSam, you know me. I would never hurt you or Tara or. . . Anika.â
Mindy flinches at the mention of her girlfriendâs name. Her stare hardens. âYou have no right to say her name. We know you did it. You killed her.â
âMindyâŠâ Your voice breaks as your throat feels like itâs closing up. You canât do anything to convince them, letting the stream of tears flow from your eyes. No one came to your rescue to prove your innocence. None of them trusted you. You felt pathetic, humiliated, embarrassed. Your eyes settle on Sam again. âReally? After everything weâve been through together, you-â
Sam glowers. âItâs over, Y/n. Please, stay away from us.â
âFuck you.â You turn your back, the hurt in your tone clear as day. âI donât know you at all.â
âMaybe we didnât know each other as well as we thought.â
It was one thing for you to walk away and another knowing that Sam would not be going after you.
-
âIt was easy luring you away from the group. Guess we really canât choose our family, huh?â Ghostface makes a tsk sound, the voice changer turned off.
He takes a step forward, but you stay positioned adjacent to the wall. That voiceâŠ
âEthan?â
Ethan removes his mask, holding the voice changer to his lips, âDidnât expect that?â
Of course it was him. Little by little, the pieces fall into place. The apartment attack -- that was probably Ethan. He wasnât with the group. Not even the skeptic Mindy questioned his whereabouts. Your tears havenât dried yet and you were as sure as hell they werenât going to stop now. You bring your hands together in a slow clap. âOh, wow, thatâs⊠Fucking brilliant, actually.â Clutching your stomach, you let out what sounded like a painful cackle. âThis is the part where I die.â You say. It wasnât a question, but a statement.
âOh no, no, no. See, thatâs where youâre wrong.â Ethan smirks, gripping your left arm, applying pressure to where you had been previously injured a couple nights prior. âYou are our scapegoat. I must give credit to Mindy for the idea. You have the perfect motive to be Ghostface! It was just gonna be Sam, but⊠The press would go crazier if it was a Bonnie & Clyde situation. Not that I care about that sorta stuff. It just works.â
You collect the saliva from your mouth, spitting in his eye. âJokes on you âcause weâre not together anymore.â
âBut they wouldnât know that because by the time you get âcaughtâ, all of your friends will be dead and you would look like the asshole trying to save yourself if you attempt to say the truth.â
Ethan places his free hand on your shoulder, pulling your arm with more force than necessary to guarantee that it would break. You stand there, biting your lip in order to hide the pain. If I screamed, it wouldnât make a difference anyway, you said to yourself bitterly. Thereâs not a single person whoâd give me the benefit of the doubt. In fact, theyâd make me suffer worse, believing that Ethan did the right thing. Who knows what creative scenarios he came up with already.
-
The paramedics found you slumped down beside a row of chairs after Sam and the rest of the group defeated the three Ghostfaces. They wondered why you werenât with the others, but with a quick word from Kirby, they left you alone, guiding you outside to treat your broken arm. One of the paramedics - Theo (thatâs what you heard Kirby call him) asked if you wanted a ride to the hospital. You declined, insisting that you could get there yourself without anyoneâs help.
You spare Sam a glance, observing her interact with Mindy, Chad, and Tara. Core Four. Good for them. Although you were glad that they are are still extant, you canât stop the rancor that you feel as you stare at the four. You want nothing more than for this day to be over, move to someplace else, maybe change your name. Anywhere is better than here. Itâs become clear to you how unwanted you are in New York. A change of scenery might do you good.
Kirby (the only person who hasnât treated you like scum) situates herself in front of Sam, âHey, whereâs Y/n?â
Sam only notices your absence when Kirby pointed it out. âShit. IâŠâ She scans the area in search of your familiar eyes, guilt eating at her knowing that she accused you of being a killer. Because of that, you got hurt. Sheâd never forgive herself for it. âI'll be right back.â
The blonde detective nods in understanding. âIâll stay with Tara.â
âThank you.â
You were on your way to the hospital when a hand grasps your injured arm. Recoiling from the touch, you look back to curse the one responsible for hurting your limb only to meet Samâs pleading gaze. âWhat do you want, Samantha?â
âY/n, I just wanted to say that Iâm sorry for being careless, for not trusting or believing you. If I had, you wouldnât have gotten hurt.â Sam touches your good shoulder this time, expressing her genuine apology.
But no matter how many âIâm sorryâsâ she will direct at you, it wonât take away whatâs been done. âItâs too late, Sam.â
âWhat? No. We can try again.â She pleads desperately.
You couldnât bite back the words the words that are on the tip of your tongue, feeling the last ounce of self control fray away. âTry again? Do you hear how ridiculous that sounds? You broke up with me because you didnât trust me. You didnât even try to understand my side!â The news reporters turned their heads at your outburst. They point their cameras to you, but you donât make an effort to cut off your ebullition short. âAll of you pointed your hands at me because what? Iâm the sister of a killer?! If weâre basing our suspicions of all the Ghostfaceâs relatives, you shouldâve been on the top of the list. The only thing I asked was for you to stand by me and you failed. So, no, we canât try again. Weâll only end up worse than where we left off.â You finish, walking away from everything (not for the first time). âIâll get my things out of your apartment tonight. After that, you wonât have to see me again.â
Sam stays still while you leave, clutching your arm in the process. That limb will heal, but the words that Sam has spoken wonât. There will remain a constant reminder of how you were betrayed by those you would give everything for.
So much for trust.

i. REALIZED I DIDNâT READ BETWEEN THE LINES
Oh, how the sounds of cheering rang throughout your ears. You stood in front of hundreds of students as a group of your boyfriends' teammates each held up a sign with letters spelling out âHOCO?â
You were exhausted, minutes beforeâ you were thrown into the air, cheering as loudly as you possibly could, while also trying to support number two on the field. That didnât stop you from jumping into your boyfriendâs arms though. You were slowly starting to catch your breath as you let go of the skintight hug you shared with your boyfriend. He had just won the first home game of the season and oh boy, was he happy. You felt his breath hovering as he panted in and out above your messily tied-up hair while the tips of his fingers caressed your waist.
Many people knew Sunghoon as a complete douchebag. So, maybe it was the delusions or maybe it was the attachment you developed for him, but you never saw him as a âdouchebag.â Although you would be lying if youâve never heard people say he tends to lead girls on, youâd also be lying if your friends didnât tell you so. You knew what you were getting yourself into the moment you stepped into your new apartment and locked eyes with him.
But Park Sunghoon arose something inside of you that you just couldnât understand. He was so different from the guys back in your old hometown. He caused you to go boy crazy over him. He would drive you to and from school every day, he would walk you to class, and on top of that, he introduced you to his whole family, but that was a given since you two were new neighbors.
âSo?â His raspy worn-out voice silently echoed in your ears as his grip tightened around your waist. âWill you go to homecoming with me, my sweet girlfriend?â
Did you say yes? Of course, you did. However, things didnât go as planned.
Your friends were right about everything. You felt humiliated and that very feeling was eating you up inside. You were played by the notorious pretty looking douchebag everyone warned you about. Thinking back, you wondered why you were so set on himâ sure, he was a sweetheart to you, but you knew he wasnât the best person to others; you helplessly ignored those negative traits for him. You were addicted to him and it wasnât a good feeling knowing that.
â(Name), Stop stalking his social media.â Danielleâs soft tone snaps you back into your wandering head, she was sitting close to you, smoothly taking your phone out of your grip.
âI know, sorryâ I canât help it.â You attempt to grab your phone back but miserably fail. âDanielle, you know fast he moved on? We dated for five months for fucks sake.â
Danielle sympathizes with you, she knows how hard a heartbreak can affect a person, so she just hums in response as she returns your phone. âYou know, checking his socials isnât going to make you feel any better.â
You pressed your lips together, she was right. Why couldnât you get over him? You've never been so stuck on a boy especially one you only dated for five months. It was draining you.
âStill crying over Sunghoon?â You instantly recognize who spoke those words and your head naturally turns towards the voice. Your eyes met with Jaehyun as he squeezed his way in between you and Danielle like he normally does. âActually yes, you should tell your bestie I was crying over his brother again.â You say.
âI am so not telling Taesan that, but you could. Youâre still neighbors with the both of them anyway.â Jaehyun teased as he stuffed his sandwich into his mouth. You shove him with your shoulder as you take in what he says while Danielle silently chuckles with Jaehyun.
ii. IâVE NEVER KNOWN SOMEONE LIKE YOU, IâM STUCK FOREVER
To say that you were beginning to dread going to football events was an understatement. You despised going to them, it was just a reminder of your past relationship that didnât end that long ago. You couldnât skip these stupid events anyway, you were a cheerleader and a very good one at that. They needed you and you needed them if you didnât want to fall apart due to your heartbreak. Cheerleading was your only escape but now that it was tied with memories of you and Sunghoon, you didnât know how to feel. You couldnât even process your thoughts.
âKeep it together (Name), whatâs going on with you?â You were starting to feel your body heat up as your coach lectures you in front of everyone. God, this day couldnât get any worse.
âSorry, Mrs. Lee.â You reply. You start to feel sweat dripping down your face as you quickly bow. âSorry isnât going to cut it. Get it together.â
You straightened your back as you continuously nodded at Mrs. Lee. She kept complaining until she finally ended practice early because she was disappointed in the team, but everyone knew it was because of you. Nonetheless, you begin to pack up, it was starting to get chilly outside so you quickly wrap yourself in the hoodie you received from Sunghoon.
Everything reminded you of him, sometimes you brought it upon yourself but right now, this was just the god's way of punishing you for whatever reason. You notice Sunghoon and his friends walking up to where your team usually practices.
He looked so good, he was drenched in sweat, which led to his long black hair sticking to his forehead, while he held onto his helmet on the side of his hip. You couldnât help but stare and it was a bad habit, and the thing was that he always noticed your stares but this time it was different, he was distracted. He was walking up to Ning Yizhou, the captain of your team. You could feel your heart crack for the millionth time.
Upon their arrival, Ning gave him a warm hug that you once used to give him when practice ended. You used to always wonder if he even missed you at allâ but he didnât, not even a little.
âHey (Name), long time no see.â
Huh? You were so stuck in your thoughts you didnât realize Jungwon had walked up to you. âOh Jungwon, what's up.â
Jungwon raised his thick brows, noticing how down your tone had sounded. To be honest, everyone knew why you were always so down and sometimes they would feel bad, including Jungwon himself but at the same time, Jungwon had no say, Sunghoon was his best friend after all.
âJust wanted to check up on you.â You chuckle at his words, how kind of him even though his best friend threw your heart on the ground and stomped on it. Okay, dramatic, but still, you were hurt.
âI gotta go Jungwon.â You say as you grab your bag and make your way back into the school building to change.
Making your way into the building alone wasn't a big deal, it felt normal, almost like a routine that was injected into your blood system. You would quickly change and leave and that's what you did. As you walked out of the school building, you began to scroll through Instagram unknowingly searching up âhoon_.2.â
â(Name)?â You quickly shut off your phone and glanced up, it was Taesan. You could tell he just changed from his basketball clothes back into his uniform, his hair was still stuck to his forehead and his lips were a pretty pink shade that youâd only see while he played on the court. It was kind of weird.
Even though Taesan was Sunghoonâs twin brother, they were so distinguishable from one another. They would think differently, dress differently, have different hobbies, and even talk differently. Taesan was such a soft-toned, shy boy while Sunghoon was loud and strongly opinionated, it had always appalled you because of how they were so different.
âTaesan.â You chirped, hoping he didnât catch a glimpse of you stalking his twin brother. Taesan gazed at you, it was obvious that he was observing you. The thing was that you were hoping he hadnât seen what you were doing on your phone, but you couldnât even read his face, he was staring pretty intensely so you had an unknown sensation of how to feel.
But Taesan was just admiring you, he always found you appealing.
âDo you need a ride home? Weâre going the same place anyway.â He silently asks without breaking his eye contact with you.
âSure.â You smile as you begin to make jokes with him. It was the least you could do since he was driving you home.
Sunghoon had seen you walk out with his brother, it was funny. He couldnât wrap his head around the fact that seeing you laughing with his twin brother rubbed him the wrong way. To be fair, this feeling was foreign to Sunghoon.
âYou canât be mad,â Jungwon says as he watches Sunghoonâs eyes follow you out the door. âWho said I was mad.â Sunghoon sternly says, as his grip tightens around his bag.
âItâs so obvious.â Jay barges in, walking next to the angered boy. âBut yeah you canât be mad.â The dimpled boy continued as he twirled his car keys around his finger.
Sunghoon scoffs, âNot saying I'm mad but why canât I be?â The audacity Sunghoon had pushed Jay to stop in his tracks while Jungwonâs eyes widened so big that he thought his own eyes would dry out. âAre you really asking that?â Jay genuinely asks.
âYes?â
âLook, all I'm saying is that you canât be upset when you cheated and left her during homecoming.â Jungwon raises both his hands up as he nonchalantly walks away.
âOkay? That was like last month.â Sunghoon defends as he catches up to Jungwon, walking side by side with him while Jay follows behind. âStill. Plus, I wouldnât worry too much, I doubt Taesan would date her.â Jungwon shrugs leaving Sunghoon to think to himself.
Taesan would never go for someone like you. Right?
iii. DREAMING OF YOU
Sunghoon had called you late that night, you took a few seconds to process the contact that was appearing on your phone. âHoonie <3â it read. Oh boy, the flashbacks with this contact that showed up every night for five months.
You let the call ring for a few more seconds before picking up. âHello?â You quietly say as your cold phone lays against your ear. â(Name),â You could hear in his voice that he hadnât slept.
âWhat do you want Hoon.â You look out the window, staring at the lit moon that fit perfectly in the night sky.
âI saw you with Taesan.â He sternly says, you can hear him shifting in his bed. âSo what?â you question. It was strange, youâve spoken to Taesan before, why is it a problem now? If anything, it shouldnât even concern him.
âWhat's your relationship with my brother?â Sunghoon let out a silent chuckle after asking that, he felt stupid, why was he asking you what your relationship status if he willingly left you?
You found this absurd. It was around three o'clock in the morning and he was asking you a dumb question that he shouldnât care about. âGood night hoon,â you say before ending the call.
It had been a while since someone had called him Hoon with so much emotion. No one called him Hoon with that much feeling until you.
Sunghoon just brushes off this foreign feeling once again and ends the night with that before he starts to think too hard.
On the other hand, you were staring at your white popcorn ceiling, it was blurry and dark, and it almost reminded you of the day of homecoming. Closing your eyes, you start to recall that day; you found Sunghoon kissing Ning in his car. You remember how intoxicated you were that night and how desperately you were searching for him after you guys argued over something so small and dumb. It was so dumb you wish you never started that argument, because maybe, just maybe he wouldnât have cheated on you, and maybe you guys wouldâve been happier than ever still in a relationship. He was your home, he was everything to you.
If only you didnât start that argument. But thatâs just the manipulation getting to you, and you know it.
It mightâve been the nosy side of Taesan but he couldnât help but listen to everything you guys were talking about over the phone. It was short, yes, but It had Taesan thinking. Taesanâs room was right next to Sunghoons and the walls were fairly thin, anyone could hear anything by just staying silent. But he always knew you were too good for his brother and the thing was that he still loved Sunghoon no matter what, but Taesan couldn't wrap his head around his brother's actions. It doesnât make sense and taesans confident a lot of people would agree with him.
This kind of sucks though, Sunghoon wanting to know what's going on between you twoâ drove Taesan to yearn to talk to you even more.
Even if it were wrong for him to.
And here you were, gradually massaging your eyes as you gaped blankly at your buzzing, bright screen, âtaesanâ it read. Why was everyone summoning you tonight? You peek over at your alarm clock, it was four in the morning. Youâve got to be kidding. You still picked up though, you had no reason not to. âTaesan?â
â(Name), did I wake you?â His voice was low and sweet, you shift in bed as you hum silently. âNo,â you lie, sitting up against your bed frame, âdid you need something?â
You could hear him silently chuckling, an extremly attractive chuckle, it kind of put you in a daze, but then again, you were beyond tired at this point and you had school in a couple hours. âI just wanted to talk to you, but it's late.â He pauses. âGoodnight (Name).â He hung up.
Oh? That was shorter than you thought, but you felt his words in your bones, he was so quick and brief with his words. You shake off this feeling, sliding right back into your blankets before knocking out again. This was not how you planned your night to go.
iv. BACK FOR MORE
âIt was so strange,â you exclaimed as you sipped your Starbucks chai, elbows resting on the table as your back straightened, your thoughts were all over the place. âLike, both of them called me last night and they were meaningless calls.â
Jaehyunâs eyes shifted to your confounded expression, he found this entertaining to hear from you. âSo, youâre telling me Taesan called you,â he pauses to let out a giggle, âat four in the morning to say goodnight?â
You nod, taking in every word Jaehyun says as he continues laughing at his best friend's actions toward you. It was shocking to say the very least, taesan has never been that bold and he always knew he found you attractive, it was no surpriseâ you were all the students spoke about when you first transferred anyway.
Across the room were eyes watching you ranting to Jaehyun. Honestly, he didn't make it that obvious that he was goggling at you, but his friends noticed. âWhy are you staring at her so intensely?â Jungwon waved his hand in front of his face, quickly catching Sunghoon's attention.
âIâm not,â Sunghoon defends, orbs still attached to the movements of your body. âOh yeah because it sure doesnât look like you're about to eat up (Name) with your eyes.â Jungwon hummed, sinking back into the couch.
âI called her last night,â Sunghoon says, âAnd what did you say?â Jungwonâs attention was fully on his best friend. âI asked what her relationship with my brother was.â He replies, also sinking into the couch, shifting his eyes to Jaehyun who kept making you laugh.
âNow that's low, even for you Sunghoon.â
âItâs not, I'm just curious,â Sunghoon lied, he knew it was low, it was incredibly low. He hadnât thought about you in a while though, sure, heâd stalk your Instagram a couple of times but that's only because you would post pictures of yourself going out and youâd always look good. You werenât called the pretty new transfer for no reason.
And thatâs why Sunghoon got with you right away, there were already rumors of a pretty girl coming into your school but finding out that you were neighbors the next day by locking eyes the first moment youâd meet was just another thing. To you, it felt like destiny, clearly it didnât work out but still, youâd always talk about it when you cuddled in bed with Sunghoon; he heard it a lot.
âHeâs staring at you by the way,â Danielle says as she arrives at your table, âHeâs been staring since I got here and that was ten minutes ago.â She continued, as she settled in next to you.
âHeâs so weird, you saw my texts right?â You say, receiving a nod from Danielle.
v. JUST WANTED TO HEAR YOUR VOICE SO CLEAR
Taesan sat at his desk, debating whether or not to text you. Heâd be lying if he said he hadnât been thinking about you all night and day and he felt guilty, he didnât want to betray his brother but to be fair, things didnât go well due to Sunghoon so, it's not too bad, right?
He groaned silently to himself as his eyes gazed upon the texts he sent you, âWant to grab ice cream after school?â How cheesy, but honestly, Taesan couldn't care less about that. He wanted your response.
You received this text and it brought a smile to your face, you quickly replied with a yes! You needed an ice cream break.
âThanks for the ice cream,â you smile while taking in the flavors of the vanilla bar heâd bought you. âNo problem, I wanted to see you anyway,â He replies as his arm slightly brushed against yours, you were living for these moments and he was too.
âTaesan,â you stop in your tracks, and so did he once he felt air instead of your presents beside him, he glanced back at you and hummed. âWhy did you call me last night?â
âBecause I like you, kinda, maybe. Itâs complicated.â He answers, before turning and proceeding with his walk back to your apartments.
âWhat?â You catch up to Taesan and tug on his uniform sleeve, resulting in him looking down at you before veering around his eyes back to the sidewalk. âYou heard me.â
You remained silent for the rest of the walk, the sounds of you and Taesan dragging your feet filled your ears, and you knew Taesan was too deep in his head to realize how loud he was dragging his feet.
âWeâre here,â you say, pressing the numbers that led you into your home, â(Name), you don't have to think about what I said earlier, I just kind of blurted it out.â Taesan walked into his house without glancing back, leaving you alone in the halls of your apartment.
â(Name), why are you frozen outside your house,â you hear a familiar voice speak as you shift your orbs to no other than your ex-boyfriend. âWhy canât I stand outside my house?â You argue back.
âJust asking,â Sunghoon cheeses at your defensiveness, he finds it cute, âBut youâre also in my house area so.â
âFuck off, Iâm literally not.â You protest, quickly walking into your house, leaving Sunghoon alone in the halls. Why were you so angry? Sunghoon just shrugged and stepped into his house as well.
vi. MORE THAN FRIENDS?
Days had gone by and all youâd done was hang out with Taesan since the day he confessed to you. You found him very comforting, youâd meet up with him before and after class and would walk together everywhere. This didnât go unnoticed of course, everyone figured out how close you two had gotten, but Sunghoon had noticed the most and he was the one who spoke about it the most.
âWhy are they suddenly so close, they look like a couple.â Sunghoon rants, gazing into the locker room mirror as he paints his cheeks in black for the football game. âWho knows, maybe they naturally became close.â Jungwon shrugs as he tapes his legs, preparing for the game.
Sunghoon felt his whole body heat up when he saw you on your tippy toes leaning over the fence to kiss his brother, you two were official. This didnât hold Sunghoon back, heâd get into a fight during the game over something minor and had to be benched for the rest of the game.
âWhat the fuck Sunghoon? We lost because of you!â Gyuvin provoked, jabbing his fingers into Sunghoon's chest. âThe fuck is wrong with you?â He continued.
Kim Gyuvin was the captain of the football team, he was always harsh with his words, and usually, Sunghoon could handle them since he barely got a lecture, but something just snapped in him, he threw a punch at Gyuvin in front of everyone, earning gasps from the student section.
You watched this whole interaction happened, you were also on the field cheering like crazy to hype up the student section, but seeing your ex-boyfriend in a fight made you feel different emotions. You ran up to them, trying to stop them, you held onto Sunghoon's waist trying to hold him back, but you miserably failed as expected.
âStop Sunghoon! Youâre going to get suspended!â You yell out as your grip around his waist tightens. Sunghoon listened to your voice, abruptly stopping while Gyuvin was dragged away by Matthew and Jungwon. Sunghoon pulled you off him.
âGet the fuck off me (Name),â
You step back as you stare Sunghoon in the eyes, he is beyond angry, heâs never spoken to you like that and you were caught off guard. âWhat?â
Sunghoon ignores you and walks into the school, students scanning his every move as others glance back at you standing in the field alone. You felt humiliated but you also were curious about why he was angry because no one had ever seen Sunghoon so upset to the point where he gets physical with someone he called a friend. It was all confusing even for Sunghoon himself, why was he so worked up?
âAre you okay?â you hear Taesan approaching you with Jaehyun beside him, his face showing full concern and this warms you up. You pull him into a hug as you two walk back to the school.
âThat was kind of crazy, the way you ran and tugged onto Sunghoon felt like it was straight out of a movie,â Jaehyun exclaimed as his expressions varied between each word he spoke. âIt was,â Taesan added, holding onto your waist.
It was true you and Taesan shared deep feelings for one another but you guys werenât officially together yet, you would sneak around with him here and there but you guys had made it clear that you were just close friends that kiss sometimes. Inside this wrecked Taesan, he wanted to be more than friends but he knew you werenât ready and this whole situation just confirms it.
Was it Taesan or Sunghoon who you truly had feelings for?

The daughter who wasn't wanted (Remake)
Y/n Sully is the oldest daughter/ child of the sullys, meaning she was neytums twin sister.
Even though y/n was a na'vi she came out smaller and her skin was a sky demon tan color with blue stripes. She was given away an hour after birth.
After 16 years the Sully's reunited with y/n but y/n has a new family, she is loved by her new family and Mo'at. How will the sullys react?
Chapter 1 ~ 16 years ago ~
(names and characters are the same)
The battle had ended with hells gates had just ended when neytiri had gone into labor. Soon new born baby cries filled the area, but instead of being joyful some looked at Neytiri in horror, some looked at her with pity, and others looked confused.
Neytiri had given birth to twins, a baby girl and a baby boy. The girl came out wrong, she was much smaller than a normal na'vi newborn she was human newborn size, her skin was a tannish color with light blue strips, she had five fingers and toes, na'vi ears, nose, kuru, and tail. While the boy came out perfect.
Neytiri held the small new born looking up at Jake with unsure "Ma Jake this isn't right. She looks like a sky person." she started Jake shock his head "don't worry my love." he replied the clan started talking "that baby is a demon!" "You need to get rid of it!" "Demon blood!" "Neytiri gave birth to a sky demon!" "She did mate with a dream walker" whispers from the clan spread quickly. Mo'at and the elders didn't like the negative comments they were saying about a innocent baby. Mo'at and the elders we're happy about the babies.
~ An hour later ~
"I am sorry my daughter but you are not normal. Great mother forgive me" Neytiri said as she raised a knife up above her new born daughter. But as neytiri brought the knife down Mo'at walked in gasped as she quickly snatched the new born away from neytiri while hissing at her, as Mo'at yanked the baby away the tip of the knife had cut the baby, leaving a bloody cut from the baby's left shoulder to her right side.
"What are you doing?!" Mo'at yelled as she quickly tried to stop the bleeding as the new born cried.
Neytiri huffed "Look at that demon! It's wrong! It is bad blood!" Neytiri hissed back at her mother.
Jake soon walked into his hut only to see the two women hissing at each other. "What's going on here?!" Jake asked quickly getting between the two
"My daughter tried to kill my granddaughter!" Mo'at hissed while shielding the new born away from her daughter.
Neytiri looked at her mother than her mate "that is demon blood! You've become one of the people and gave up your old body! Why did it come out not normal?! We must get rid of it for the good of the people and our family!" Neytiri said grabbing Jakes arm Jake looked down at the new born in Mo'ats arms.
"I agree with neytiri, we need to do what's best for the family and our clan" Jake started as he reached for the new born but Mo'at slapped his hand away and hissed. "ENOUGH!! I am still tsahĂk and my word out ways yours!" Mo'at hissed standing tall neytiri and Jake ears dropped "I will take this child somewhere safe." Mo'at said walking past her daughter, grandson and son in law. Before walking out the curtains Mo'at looked over her shoulder at Neytiri "you disappoint me daughter" Mo'at said lowly, neytiri gasped before falling to her knees as her mother walked out. Jake quickly hugged neytiri and neteyam.
"Maybe one day your mother will understand our point of few" Jake said neytiri cried but nodded.
~later~
After a few hours Mo'at finally came to her destination, the village of the Dushnikh clan a terrifying, strong, tall, green orcish, but caring clan of Navis located in the swampy area of Pandora.
Mo'at was welcomed with open arms before they sent her to the tsahĂk tent, where she sat in front of another tsahĂk, the tsahĂks daughter, and grandson.
"Mo'at my old friend, it's nice to see you but what's brought you to our home?" The elder in front Mo'at asked
"Leyra my old friend, my daughter had just given birth a few hours ago and she tried to send her to eywa because she looks different." Mo'at said as she opened the baby carrier on her chest.
The elder na'vi and her daughter gasped "These young ones always think they know what's best. Did you talk to her about her fate if she does this?" Leyra said as she looked at the small tan na'vi child staring back at her with an incorrect toothless smile.
Mo'at nodded as she looked down at the few hours old infant "yes but my daughter and her husband didn't listen.. they said they know what's best for their family."
Leyra and Mo'at stopped talking when the toddler had walked up beside Mo'at staring down at the new born who giggled up at him.
"Tsmuke (sister)" At'ok said as he giggled when the baby grabbed his finger
Zo'ile huffed "neytiri mated with a dream walker, but as soon as the baby looks like one she wants to *growl*" Zo'ile froze before taking a breather
"Mo'at, mother. Let me raise the baby." Zo'ile said sitting straight up and reaching out for the baby.
Mo'at and Leyra froze before smiling "Leyra you're daughter is a true daughter of ewya" Mo'at said Leyra smiled and nodded
"That she is Mo'at" Leyra smiled at her daughter.
Mo'at gently gave the baby to Zo'ile. The baby looked so small in her hands.
Zo'ile started down at the baby with nothing but love and care for the child and At'ok was excited about the baby as well.
"Her mother refused to name her, so I named her y/n" Mo'at said
Zo'ile and Leyra repeated the name and At'ok tried but miss pronounced it making y/n giggle even more.
"Mo'at I promise she will be protected and loved by the people, and you will be recognized as her grandmother as well" Zo'ile said as At'ok climbed into his mother's arms holding y/n as he curled around her into his mother's chest slowly falling asleep.
(Not my art! Belongs to ARTSOFMETAMOOR. Go find them on Tumblr love their work)
Mo'at smiled sadly "thank you Leyra, Zo'il." Mo'at said standing up
Leyra followed "of course my friend. You are welcome anytime."
Mo'at and Leyra hugged before Mo'at left.
Zo'ile told her mother good night before walking to her hut.
Once she got inside her hut she bumped into her maates chest
"Ma Zo'ile are you and At'ok alright what took so long?" Nawmrui asked before his eyes widden at the sight of the smaller tan na'vi in his mate and childs arms.
"Ma Nawmrui, Mo'at had came by for a visit and she brought her granddaughter. Neytiri and her mate didn't want the baby, when I laid eyes on her I felt the great mother telling me to take her in as my own." Zo'ile said holding the baby's close
Nawmrui slowly got down on his knees to see the baby clearly, y/n had opened her sleepy eyes before giggle and reaching ot for nawmrui gently placing her hand on his nose.
Nawmrui smiled "Oh great mother has blessed us with not one amazing child but now two. I am blessed" Nawmrui said as he got up and gently hugged his wife and his two children.
The next morning y/n had been introduced to the clan and they watched as y/ns kuru was connected to their spirit tree. The tree grew brighter than anyone has ever seen before and the clan was overjoyed to see the newest member of the Dushnikh clan
Nawmrui and zo'ile stared at their two children with nothing but love and care.
If the Sully's didn't want y/n the Dushnikh clan definitely did.
