On the callgirl route in the scene where we go to Eveline's, i chose to go check up on her thinking like "oh maybe it'll be like a nice scene while i help her :)" only to get a brick thrown at me with that "you dont have a family so you dont have a say in this" line and it got me thinking about how Marius and Jack are probably the closest things MC has to a family now and for it to get invalidated like that,,, OUCHHH she is so much stronger than me because i wouldve cried my eyes out, the way you write these relationships is delicious im eating it all up

Yeah :")))) Its funny you mention that because I was just discussing the backstories/Deals with my hubby. He mentioned that people might feel more lonely if they don't have the Sister or Baby characters, and I thought. Well, but they have Marius and Jack !!! All Deals do of course, but particularly the one where your MC is "alone". Those ARE your buddies and your family dang it.

(I was a bit worried people would hold it against Eveline, but the reality is she doesn't have the mental or emotional bandwidth to be gracious and tolerant all the time. esp when she's had so many conversations w Marius about being more careful.)
