I want to write Sommie but I'm lazy and also I have no idea what to do with her, her psyche, her themes.

So I decided to just play the Stranger route and write down all her possible dialogues alongside Sinist's.

(Spoilers for Chapter II : The Stranger under the cut)

Somber : “But you know, right? You have to know. You're the only other person I've ever seen, or at least the only one I can remember. Don't give me false hope. Please just end this already. One way or another, just do it.”

Sinister : “Don’t be coy. We both know why I'm locked away here. I'm a monster, and the second I get out of this place, I'm going to end the entire world.”

Sinister : “Because I am. Everything you've heard about me is true, and I am going to lay waste to everything. Starting with you.”

> If I let you out of here, what are you going to do?

Sinister : “Besides, you already know what I'm going to do.”

Somber : “If you want to put an end to me, then put an end to me.”

> Getting down here was… weird. Like I was pulled apart and put back together again. Do you know what happened to me?

Somber : “We're probably stuck down here forever, aren't we? There's no way out, and barely a way in.”

Sinister : (Oho~) “I thought they would send something better to deal with me. If the stairs managed to chew you up, I will devour you.”

Somber : “It doesn't matter. I've been down here for so long. What's the point of a name if there's no one around to use it?”

Sinister : “I don't need a name. My name is whatever hushed whispers follow in the wake of my devastation.”

Now I just have to spend a week thinking about what to do about them and trying to come up with a somewhat unique voice for their chapter IIs

Somber/Hopeless is basically Broken if he was a Princess? Whiny, sad, seeks peace, safety, comfort, passive.

Sinister is basically Nightmare Princess but less scary or powerful.

I'm definitely a "has way too many favorites to list them all" type of person, but I'll focus on Corrin and Alear for now!

I've always really loved dragons, so it's not that surprising I gravitate towards the dragon characters lol! Even tho Alear never ends up transforming, I really like to think that their dragon form would be a messy mix of fell and devine. They wouldn't be very confident in their dragon state, but they'll grow more comfortable with it over time!

Also, pointy ears!!!! I sometimes forget they don't actually have those in canon and feel robbed all over again once I remember..

For Corrin I really like to imagine they show their dragon features more casually + it actually being more comfortable for them to do so instead of surpressing them! I especially like their tail<3

I honestly like a lot of ships as long as it has cute art and/or fics haha! I just like seeing favs happy and loved🩷 but special shoutouts to f!Alear/f!Corrin, m!Alear/Alfred, m!Alear/Pandreo and m!Corrin/Silas as some stand out ships👍🏻

And lastly, I just really love how sweet and compassionate they are at their core.. they're simply comfort characters through and through

How would you make an Engage au involving both of the Alears?

sorry it took so long for me to reply! That is a really good question! I've got a couple of aus I like :)

1: Divine dragon M!Alear, Fell Dragon F!Alear

maybe Lumera's child M!Alear finds past F!Alear with his mother and they all become family (maybe there's a cutscene where M!Alear and past F!Alear are cuddling sommie or something cute like that) and all three of them go to face Sombron.

F!Alear gets injured and has to have the 1000 year nap, but M!Alear dies and to save him Lumera puts him in the ring she gives F!Alear, or Lumera is able to save him but as a result he is transported to the Fell Xenologue universe (maybe she used a risky and experimental healing magic that displaced his body and spirit or something?) which is why Xeno-Alear knows our Alear.

2: Fell twin Alears

Or M!Alear and F!Alear are twins and both protect their sister Veyle, but M!Alear dies protecting her. Veyle held her brother as he died in her arms and his dragon stone shattered and there was nothing she could do. She did revive him as a corrupted (the first corrupted she had ever made) but it was a shadow of who he was. both siblings were traumatised by this almost-M!Alear-corrupted who tries to comfort them after his death only to fall apart literally right in front of them, which is one of the motivators for F!Alear's fear of corrupted. This is also a parallel to when Veyle sees F!Alear die to protect her from Sombron. Veyle has seen this happen before (but with a divine dragon, one of Lumera's biological family before they were all killed) and it breaks her.

This would

further blur the divine/ fell dragon separation - divine dragon killed M!Alear and was brought back (temporarily) by the power of love using a fell dragon power vs fell dragon killed F!Alear who was brought back (temporarily) with fell dragon power to try and help the people she loved, and then brought back (permanently) by the power of the emblems

add a mirroring cutscene for M!Alear where Alear dies, causing the Sombron death of F!Alear to be a horrible parallel and give an heir of inevitability to the death of them both

add more reason for Veyle's hatred of fell powers (she views the fact she brought him back for a moment as prolonging her brothers suffering)

add another reason for F!Alear's fear of corrupted

And I suppose if you wanted to have a happy(ish) ending, maybe when the Emblems save F!Alear, they help revive her twin brother, who becomes the emblem, so therefore F!Alear can have a body and there can still be an Alear emblem but without making the emblem stuff make even less sense.

honestly I just love this idea, and adorable zombie M!Alear bonding with his sisters is just the cutest thing ever. Like who would not want an adorable zombie alear? Can you imagine Xeno-M!Alear zombie on the battlefield with Veyle and F!Alear. They would have such adorable dialogue when it comes to joint attacks or engaging with Alear's ring.

(FE: Engage) Citrinne, Yunaka, and Alear with a Kitsune S/O

Citrinne would think S/O is absolutely stunning to look at, both in human and kitsune form.

It always amazed her to watch how elegantly they moved. Until they came back to the somniel.

Then they were always cuddling up to her, which she was happy to indulge them in.

It was strange for her though, she wanted to gift them with something physical, but they seemed to only accept physical affection.

It made her feel loved as the fur gave her a nice pillow, so perhaps she could get used to it.

In combat, she could count her spells always landing her hits without fear of counterattack due to S/O's blazing speed.

But she's still training hard to make sure she can protect them as well.

(Citrinne) "S/O, there you are! I got this cute little ring I know would look great with your tail!...The price of it? Oh, don't worry about that!"

Yunaka had no idea kitsunes existed, so it was an extreme shock to her meeting S/O for the first time.

Yunaka loves pampering S/O with hugs, since it gave her something nice to nap on as well.

She thinks they look adorable as a Kitsune, always plopping her face straight on their tail, regardless of form.

(Yunaka) "Cuddles for Yunaka time! Scooch your butt!"

She laughs as she watches them get into position on command.

Thanks to being a mobile pillow, she uses them to get away from people and just enjoy some quiet time by themselves.

In combat, Yunaka and S/O blaze around the battlefield almost unseen and strike with lethal precision.

No one is safe when Yunaka strikes from the shadows and S/O speeds in out of nowhere.

Being a Dragon herself, she isn't too surprised by S/O being a Kitsune.

If anything, it gave her some comfort, besides Tiki, there were other nonhumans out there.

She absolutely loves how affectionate S/O is, and doesn't mind giving the love back with lots of pets.

Her, Sommie, and S/O usually cuddle back on the Somniel, the three of them never far apart from each other.

Though S/O has to deal with the jealousy of Clanne, Framme, and Merrin sometimes.

In combat, Alear and Marth are almost as fast as S/O, everyone striking at lightning-quick speeds.

(Alear) "What? I have a knack for sleeping? Well, it's not my fault someone decided to let me sleep on them for so long!"

Favorite moment

Alear : When they come back as a Corrupted, I think everyone agrees it was a big character moment. The Emblem was too, it's just that it coming right after Alear died again makes it sounds a bit silly

Veyle : When she broke the helmet. That was such an empowering moment for her.

Idea for a story

I already wrote a new version of the fell Xenologue you can check here.

Other then that I was thinking about writing a Paralogue dedicated to Veyle and Alear. Alear would offer to help Veyle retrieve her long lost dragon stone, and came back to the place she was living with her mother, causing her to open up to Alear about her life before her slumber. And they would eventually find a dragon stone for Alear too, with them being stressed at how they dragon form would look like and end up seeing that they are a mix between Shiryu and Jaryu. I think I could try to design it : A divine dragon, while retaining some of their Fell features.

Unpopular opinion

Alear : their design is good. There I said it. My only problem as always been only the rendering for their hair colour. Also Alear has a character arc, stop skipping the game's cutscene.

Veyle : I think people misunderstand why she is seeking forgiveness. To us, it's obvious she wasn't herself, but Veyle is dealing with self hatred due to her condition and as always been blamed for things that she wasn't responsible for. That's in that mindest she consider her double's fault to be her own.

Favorite relationship

Oh easily each other. Best sibling. I also like both siblings relatioship with Nel. For Alear, there is Rafal and for Veyle, I also say Clanne and Mauvier. I also like both sibling bounding with Zelestia.

Favorite headcanon

Alear : they were the only fell child to have red hair and they had ageusia as a fell child. Turning into a divine dragon allowed them to taste food.

Veyle : when Veyle is unable to sleep, Alear lets her sleep in the Altar with them and Sommie.

Engage Ch 6 - 8/9 ish

This game is dangerous, time goes by soooo fast lol.

One thing I want to say is, for me right now, the difficultly level is on point. Hard/Classic so far is the perfect sweet spot for me where it's not too easy, but it's not too frustrating either. I have to think, but not too hard. I personally don't like my video games too hard and challenging since I use them to unwind after working all week. And hard/classic is just perfect for me right now.

Oh, dear God, I knew Chloe was amazing. 😭😭😭😭 She's a big eater, a Fire Emblem classic trope, AND it looks like she's into fairy and folk tales. A woman after my own heart.

So when Alear goes over water on the world map, the little Alear figure turns into a boat. OMG that makes me happy. 😭

I love the folktale aspect of the flower country.

I hope they include Sommie and adopting animals in future FE games if they continue with this "my castle" aspect. It's so cute. I adopt every single one of them. Also, can a future update let us pet the animals this time? Didn't they learn from 3H that people want to pet animals, even ones in video games? At least we can pet Sommie.

So Micaiah's bond rings include: Naesala, Leanne, Sothe, and ELINCIA. 😭😭😭😭😭 I'm so satisfied with these choices. Literally some of my favorite FE characters ever. Elincia is in my top 3 (with Dimitri and Lucius).

Ok, so if Chloe is my girl for being a fairy tale fanatic, than Louis is my man for being a tea fanatic. Man literally picks tea in spots filled with man-eating beasts. For good tea, anything is worth it. Celine is also a homegirl for being such a tea fan too.

Alcyrst's bow was hysterical lamo. It's so stupid to shoot at whoever, esp with a warning that they'd arrive, but pretty funny nonetheless. And Citrinne is sooooo pretty.

Ok, this Hortensia is the first character I genuinely don't like. Her voice is so annoying. I already love Rosado though. But I knew I would.

Oh, shit, the enemies have rings this time. Oof. And poor Lucina stuck with that annoying girl. It really took forever to get some more steel weapons too.

So it took until...last night for me to realize that doing paralogues unlocked bond levels. I had been purposely putting paralogues off because I wanted to save some battles for the lategame joiners. So I've been just swapping off emblems once they reach bond 10...

So if MC is bad guy's kid...and Veyle is bad guy's kid...who's driving the bus Zephia's parent? They say she's dragonblood, but whose? Sombron says he killed all his kids. She's also got the red-blue-purple visual scheme dragons in this game do, along with the traditional pointy ears.

...yanno, the whole "demon child switches sides" thing from the flashback seems like a more interesting story than the actual game. I wanna see that story. Lumera must have had some serious connection with MC. And it would have been nice to get a proper sense of what it means to be a Fell or Divine Dragon. With amnesiac MC's thing being all "I'm just a normal person!" it makes me wonder what the point was in making Divine Dragons at all. Like, what purpose did Lumera serve in this world aside from Fell Dragon management? She hadn't needed to do that for the last thousand years, so what has she been getting worshipped for?

And Lumera cements herself as the Mikoto of this game, the flawed martyr mother. Previously seen as Rhea! While I do like the story hook Lumera has, she shuffles off way too fast to say much. Rhea clears easily.

Ah, crap, I didn't realize that Sommie's loyalty degraded.

Oooh, the enemy Berserkers have cute little cat-ear helmets! On that note, why do the playable Berserkers wear bodysuits? I don't put someone in Berserker because I want them to wear clothes.

I still haven't quite figured out what the common elements are in these Engage henshin outfits...I mean, I see them, but I've seen several units get, say, the Micaiah VR helmet. Is it the secondary unit type, the covert/whatever thing? I swear I've seen units with wings other than fliers, though...

-Framme Chloe B: Oh this is literally just a continuation of the previous support scene. Chloe’s excitement over the bizarre eel sandwich was pretty cute.

-Alear Celine C: T E A. Also a weird legend about a spirit that drives off interlopers from Firene Castle with tricks. That said, Celine’s dedication and love for the peaceful nature of her kingdom is pretty endearing.

-Alear Chloe C: Chloe’s watching Alear sleep @,@ She apparently does this a lot. She wants to sleep in Alear’s room lol.

-Sommie is apparently “tall as a loaf of bread,” and weighs “2 peaches”. Okay.

-Finally continuing the story!

-Sparkle hair thief. She’s very bad at hiding. Oh, fake tears lol. Alfred falls for it, Alear seems unsure.

-”Hiya Papiya” Yunaka is very annoying.

-Pretty good fog of war map, and those are often bad. The map was better-built around it than Chapter 3 of Three Houses was.

-Micaiah got Yunaka to turn her whole life around. She always was pretty incredible :p

-Alfred actually improving a bit seeing through Yunaka.

-Oh, Yunaka’s voice actress is Laura Post, knew she sounded familiar.

-I don’t know if I just got lucky, but it seems like cooking is BUSTED in this game. There’s way more to it than in Houses, too.

-Oh, so farm animals give you extra resource drops per map, very nice.

-Alfred Alear C: Alfred trained hard. Shame it doesn’t reflect in his use as a unit. He’s a bit eerily chummy.

-Celine Chloe C: Celine wants to go to a tea farm. They’re both sad about the war.

-Celine Jean C: She thanks him for the tea his town producers.

-Louis Chloe B: More bonding over spying on people, lol. Louis says he likes watching her because she makes a scene better.

-Alfred Yunaka C: Yunaka’s bugged that everyone’s accepted her so easily. She actually just seems bothered at the poor information control in Alear’s outfit.

-Etie Alfred C: These two are talking very awkwardly to each other but they’re not in-frame together, there’s a kinda split-screen dividing them lol. Where are they in relation to each other, I wonder. Oh, they were holding cups? The fuck, weighted tea cups??? That’s bizarre DBZ level shit.

Male, honestly. Fem Alear is an improvement over Fem Byleth, but the incredibly long hair really hurts. Girl, you ain’t Rapunzel.

I don’t dislike any of them character-wise, but Celine has been the least useful in battle. 

I genuinely can’t decide between Zelkov and Rosado. They are both so gender but in completely opposite ways. Also, honorable mention to Louis, I find his personality average but he hard carried my team for a couple chapters. 

Goldmary, ugh. 

Would Yunaka be in the ‘other’ category? I think so, I’ll go with her. 

Probably Anna. She just doesn’t contribute to the story at all. 

Whenever Griss has the Celica ring, I get immediately terrified. An enemy that can teleport is so interesting to strategize around. 

The final boss honestly. I like the map concept, but they’re really just a giant wall of health that’s a pain to chip through. 

Probably Seforia, the queen of Solm. She’s just kind of a badass. 

I don’t think I have a least favorite? Can I count Zephia? 

I’m not much of a shipper, and so far nothing has popped out at me as incredibly cute or sexy. 

Anyone who ships the siblings or the underage characters can please leave my blog.

I really loved Chapter 14 for some reason. Genuinely not sure why. 

Any of the maps with a movement-hindering gimmick are a pain. 

Lyn with Alcryst is awesome, and I got a surprising amount of mileage out of pairing Ike with Rosado. 

I think Leif. His countering with the best possible weapon is cool in theory, but in practice it can really mess with some strategies. Yes, I know that axes can counter lances, but I was holding a ridersbane!

I gave Hector to Panette and she just wrecked house. 

Being perfectly honest, Camilla didn’t do much for me. 

For everyone saying that Clanne wasn’t a good long-term party member, he still ended up on my endgame team just because he kept landing ridiculous 8% crits.

I’ve already made a long post on the wasted potential of chapter 22, and I don’t think there’s enough room here to repeat myself even if I wanted to.

I think Sombron is a good villain in his relationships with Alear and Veyle, but he’s just a massive loser. I know the cringefail description is used affectionately, but when I apply it to this dumbass snake I use it with contempt.

Ultimate was nothing more than a catalyst of what was inevitable to occur again. Though I’ve had the muse for these characters on and off over the years, they’ve always been in the back of my mind, and I’ve never truly forgotten the effect they’ve had for me, my writing, and my understanding of world-building and what I think really works in a narrative.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE ASPECTS OF YOUR CURRENT MUSE: What I like about Pit is also what I love about Kid Icarus: Uprising. Pit represents a dark world with an optimistic tone. The world of Kid Icarus: Uprising is gray and flawed as fuck. Humans suck, Gods suck, alien suck, bugs suck, everything sucks in some capacity. Good and evil exists, but it’s impossible to truly define a Big, Perfect Good, especially when you’re working with the Gods. There are moral quandaries all over the world, seeking your answer may come with ignoring equally fair points in the process, and sometimes the immoral enemies that come off as villains may have a good point or two to toss into the ring. WHAT’S YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION WHEN IT COMES TO WRITING: Kid Icarus: Uprising itself. I’m serious. For me, that game is goals when it comes to its writing. It’s not perfect by any means, but it’s a fantastic stepping stone for helping me build the ideal world for me to paint while I’m writing. Helping me set up perfectly flawed characters, leaving room for me to fill in some blanks, and letting me feel accomplished while I write.

CHARACTERS IN THIS: Lumiere, Alear, the Four Fangs, the mysterious girlies

Lumiere (VA: Kotono Mitsuishi) is Alear’s mother, the ruler of the Divine Dragons that govern the Land of Lythos. She’s a hero who saved the continent by cooperating with humans during the conflict with the Fell Dragon 1000 years ago.

I don’t remember any of the lore they’ve dropped in trailers or any of the analysis’ I’ve read so idk where Lythos is. The center island? Why was she awake and we asleep? There are multiple Divine Dragons? I thought there were other dragons but us being Divine made us fuckin, dragon royalty. This could be a mistranslation though. Anyway kind of a milf. Reblog. Her hair looks so similar to Chloe’s and Eirika’s and isn’t our blue OR red so like. What’s the truth mom. I can’t take any more secret blue haired siblings I’ll fucking lose it this game cannot be the second Fates I swear to hell. I LOVE HER HAT SO MUCH and her gold encircling thing and her cloak and her roses…. Actually I think if her hair was shorter and maybe a slightly more contrasting color to the gold she would look phenomenal. As is she’s super hot and well designed imo.

Please put on a sweater you look like you’re 14. Her hair and feathers remind me of Colombina from Genshin Impact or a seraphim from… the bible. Her outfit isn’t as nightmarish as Nowi’s or other dragon babies but it’s still not my favorite thing ever. I mean, I’m assuming she’s a dragon. She’s mysterious and has multicolor hair like Alear so…? Wait, why doesn’t our mom Lumiere have multicolored hair? FAAAAAKE. Anyway yeah I hope this game we aren’t able to S rank everyone because some of these characters look way too. Anyway. I hope she isn’t looking for us. Go look for our mom instead and have it turn out you’re our fiance from the moon, that would be hysterical.

Yunaka (VA: Fairouz Ai) is a mysterious woman who you meet on your travels. She’s cheerful and energetic and easily gets along with people she’s just met thanks to her friendliness.

I’m not a big fan of stuff on faces (never been a big fan of facepaint, stamps, or stickers for that reason) so I’m not a fan of the star on her skin, but that’s just a me thing. Objectively it’s fine, and I like the stars in her hair. I’m not a fan of the random side gaps in her top, though. You can either have that or cleavage, not both. Also, I’ve just noticed we don’t have many people with regular sized chests? They’re either beasts or absolutely flat. Where’s my b cup c cup rep? Her hair and face are fun, her outfit is meh tier. Not interesting and focused on being sexy.

Alear

I don’t like their design lol. I think f!Alear’s outfit is really awful and m!Alear is just ugly. Her skirt looks like it was inspired by a pleated schoolgirl skirt and it’s kind of nasty. The things on her ribcage under her boobs are… weird unless they’re for her spine in which case sweet. Her boots are funny but not in a good way. He has dumb too low poof pants and I think the holding up ribbons were designed for him first and her second, but it looks bad on both. He has those elf boots.

Zephia (VA: Rika Fukami) is the leader of the Four Hounds, who plot to resurrect the Fell Dragon. She’s a descendant of the Demon Dragon Clan who live for millenia and has been working in the shadows to collect the Emblem Rings.

Ugh. Just, ugh. Her design is am absolute nightmare to me, combining so many tropes that I absolutely despise. I think the crescent moon hat is interesting, but it doesn’t tie together at all with the little clothing she has on. This is just straps and bits of metal she glued to herself because she’s too poor for actual clothes. This is on the level of Dagr from FEH, except that was at least functional fetish gear unfit for combat. Zephia is fit for absolutely nothing in that costume. I feel like she’s going to have a Camilla esque personality except as an enemy, which I’ll abhor. It’s just another skimpy outfit on a big breasted woman.

Marni (VA: Ruriko Aoki) is a member of the Four Hounds, who plot to resurrect the Fell Dragon. She’s an armoured knight who’s full of confidence and prone to mood swings.

She’s cute! I like seeing frills combined with functional armor because it’s something not often seen; you can see how she would survive a few axe blows and look cute doing it. She’s armored up and while her eye is covered, unless I’m nitpicking I let hair do what it needs to do for character design. I like that she’s confident and I hope that her moodswings are done in a way that’s fun to watch and are internally consistent; I’m projecting, but I hope instead of being completely random she just has really bad crashes when something minorly bad happens and then when something good happens she perks right up again. She’s in my top 5 designs, for sure. I hope the bows on her arms are armored as well. My sibling said she feels trans and that’s always banger.

Is there going to be a plot reason (I hope not honestly) or did a writer go ‘wait, it was pretty rare for royals to only have one kid because of the high chances of childhood death and stuff’ or did a twincest writer win the kink lottery or ? Why are there so many siblings… It makes me wonder if the Alear you don’t pick is going to be evil or something.

CHARACTERS IN THIS: Firene / Firenese characters, the three dragon guardians + Anna

Céline (VA: Akari Kitō) is the first princess of the Firenese Kingdom and Alfred’s younger sister. She’s a kind and innocent philanthropist who always strives to solve things peacefully. However, she won’t hesitate to fight for peace if necessary.

I hate the weird lace stuff and the fact that she just ... does not have a shirt. She looks too young for that to be interesting instead of 'girl what the fuck' and the sheer lace texture would be a genuine nightmare. she's another 'kind and innocent younger sister princess' which like, i feel like we've had at least one in every game, but whatever, the people like what they like.

Alfred (VA: Ryōhei Kimura) is the first prince of the Firenese Kingdom, a brisk young man who battles alongside the Divine Dragon. He’s a kind, disciplined and flower-loving pursuer of happiness.

I like that he has lace as well, it ties him and his sister together. I like his little leafy crown and that he has a love of flowers strong enough to be mentioned in his mini blurb. I don’t like that he’s Dimitri’s little brother, basically. Having one of the first companions look so similar to a protagonist from the last mainline game feels annoying. Also, the yellow white clothes, pale skin, blond hair, and black lines of lace make him look like a bee to me.

Chloé (VA: Saori Hayami) is a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene. She’s easy-going and adores her liege, Princess Céline. Loves fairy tales and pretty scenery and is always seeking a picturesque combination of the two.

i dont like the boobed breastily down the stairs vibe of her armor (which really isn't armor) but if she's one of the few like it then i can accept it as a character trait. i don't like the armor period, though, it has a lackluster feel to it. I'm really hoping for an s rank between her and Celine. Chloe likes Fairy Tail Aesthetic because she likes Celine, who has a Fairy Tail Aesthetic. This is my most beloved and sapphic headcanon.

Etie (VA: Tomomi Mineuchi) is a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene. She’s a noble lady who exudes elegance. Has a positive and active personality; devotes all her time to body-building

I like her facial expression, and I think her hair is cute without being overbearing. I like that she's stated to be noble and extremely elegant while also doing bodybuilding. I like how it's a 'yes and,', not an 'even though'. I don’t like that what I thought was a dress is a crop top, though. I think it’s better as a dress.

Louis (VA: Haruki Ishiya) is a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene. He’s a gentle servant wearing massive armour. He always pays attention to how his friends are faring and seems happy whenever he sees them at peace.

Hello Kellam with curly hair. His arms remind me of Ruin Guards from genshin impact, actually. I don’t like armor knights much (i really value mobility and the sheer defense of armor knights has never been necessary for me to beat maps, even in the GBA games), but maybe his personality will convince me to use or reclass him. From what I’ve seen, I doubt it. I like the pointer clicker on his armor.

Boucheron (VA: Toru Sakurai) is a palace knight from the Kingdom of Firene. He’s a polite and kind young man. Born with a good physique and highly tolerant of others.

Logically the green accents on orange shirt is fucking hideous, but they manage to make it work with his armor, which keeps the orange from being extremely loud and the green from looking horrendous. He’s not that striking physically but for some reason I want to sit on his stomach and stare at his face for an hour. Also touch his face ??? I like that his tolerance of others is important enough to be mentioned here; I hope he has supports with people from other nations and when they do something not commonly done in his nation he’s like ‘oh, that’s pretty neat’ or the like. Maybe they did western market research and he’ll be a himbo lol.

Framme (Sayaka Senbongi) is a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, protecting the Divine Dragon at the Land of Lythos. She’s Cramme’s younger twin sister and more determined and lively compared to her brother.

I like her shirt and gloves. I think they're fun. her hat nd scarf don't feel battlefieldy but y'know what, sure, go styling. Honestly I think she looks really cute with the soft bob cut so I wish she didn’t have that braid of hair(?), but the ribbon braided in makes it interesting. I like lively kid characters as long as they aren’t annoying about it, and twins / siblings can be fun if the writers aren’t annoying about it. The contrast between simple sleeveless shirt+skinny arms, and the huge thick gloves, scarf and hat gives her an energy that I really love. All the colors pair together extremely well.

Cramme (Kōhei Amasaki) is a 33rd generation Dragon Guardian, protecting the Divine Dragon at the Land of Lythos, alongside Vander. He is Framme’s older twin brother and was by Alear’s side when they awoke. A gentle priest who serves–and is also a fan of–Alear.

The fact that he’s outright a fan is…. Odd? I’m not going to say bad but we’ll have to wait and see. I love his braid and that it pairs with his sisters. I think his colors pair together less well than his sisters do, but I’m always a slut for arm cuffs. I like that he’s green, black, and beige to his sister’s white, pink, and beige. It’s a fun way to contrast and compare them. I wish the outfits themselves matched a bit more.

Vander (VA Yōji Ueda) is a 32nd generation “Dragon Guardian”, protectors of the Divine Dragon at the Land of Lythos. Cared for Alear who was asleep for ages and a reliable ally who’s sworn loyalty to Alear. Very serious and strict; the guardians’ mission is at the forefront of his mind.

Our jagen!! I really like his beard and hair. How many families got conscripted into staring at my bedroom? I wonder if the care was anything more intensive than standing guard at the doors of wherever it was and running off bandits and treasure hoarders. I’m curious if they entered the building on a daily basis [ for cleaning and making sure everything is okay, or maybe they live there? ], only on special occasions [ deep cleaning every few months or year or for festivals ] or fuckin never and only patrolled the perimeter. We’ll get the answer I’m sure, but I’m curious regardless. Relatedly, I’m curious if there were any signs of Alear waking up? If they knew it was beginning to happen or if it was completely out of the blue. 30 generations of your family getting paid to do nothing, and now you have to fight a cross continental war for the planet or some shit. 

Anna (VA: Saori Seto) is a merchant-in-training. It seems she’s traveling around each country, in search of treasures that can be sold for a high price.

She’s a lot cuter than her FE3H incarnation, thats for sure. It’s probably the posing but she’s actually super cute. Nice outfit that is visually solid without being overly complex and puff sleeves. I dig it. I’m interested to find out what merchant means as a class. We likely aren’t getting a separate convoy again, but (bold take) I actually found it fun. In training is fun; I wonder if we’ll see the endless amount of Anna’s again. I hope so. I hope she has supports again, and it’ll be great if it’s with people other than Alear. It’s interesting that her job / class is first and her name is below it, unlike all of the other character cards.
