Miguel is basically like the mentor that’s secretly just try to steal your powers type he’s very much an opportunist and i love to draw him and loooove to hate him! This piece is basically foreshadowing extravaganza that will… eventually be clear i swear I promise I PROMISE but for now enjoy the piece it took sooo long

Muse, Plume, Thea, Orianne & caelusss

Muse is the main character a human boy who is just trying his best who gets swooped up into helping a dragon girl save her kingdom and the magical dimension while also fighting to preserve his home town!

Plume a dragon girl (plume, bloom you get the gist) who somehow ended up on earth is now tasked to find help to save her people and mother while also discovering the beauty of earth

Thea the daughter of an urban development company ceo and the love interest of muse (did i get myself this invested into a ship that i made it canon here… yes.) she’s a frail girl but is forced to step in as her fathers ideas turn from helpful to greedy and destructive

Orianne Thea and Muse’s friend and the more motherly of the group but faced with difficult circumstances and changes in her life can cause her to lash out as her life is completely steered of its course by magic and her dad remarrying.

Caelus! Muse’s closest friend a pretty chill guy that works at an icecream parlour during the week and helps his family with their market food stand in the weekend, he really wants to be a culinary chef but doesn’t know if he can truly achieve his goals in his hometown.

That’s the gang this will from now on be an original concept and no longer a winx rewrite yes winx will be an inspiration for this work but i do not intend to go the fairy route nor make the world building as big as i had made it in my rewrite… what you will see is me taking my rewritten work as a basis for this story considering i have basically rewritten my version of domino, zenith and solaria from scratch sooooo SWEET BABY BOY CRYOS MY BABY will be making a return later on in this story he’s mine he’s my son my boy i can do with his character whatever i pleaseeee ok ty

AAIC: Quality of Life Improvements

This is the 7th post in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Countdown: 74 days left until release!

Today's topic: the Quality of Life Improvements! These include chapter selection, story mode and a history function.

The history function has been there since the original release of Dual Destinies on 3DS and I wouldn't want to miss it. It's always useful to check a previous line when you accidentally tapped forward already or when you're not sure anymore about the exact words. Or when you didn't expect an exchange to end up being so funny so you forgot to screenshot the beginning which is probably the main reason I'm going to use it 😄

The story mode isn't really something for me, I love figuring everything out in AA. But it's definitely nice to have especially when you're stuck at a particular point and don't want to go through randomly presenting every piece of evidence you have (which is gonna take forever towards the end of I2-5 as it's the case with the most pieces of evidence in your possession at the same time in the entire series).

I noticed something else though while going through the images on the website and that is the new design of Miles' organizer (as seen here on the right)! Miles' evidence and profile files were also called his organizer in the original version of the games (as "court record" like it is in the main games wouldn't make any sense to have during investigations) but apart from the different colour scheme they were otherwise identical to the court record of the main games. For this remaster it looks like they redesigned the organizer completely so that it looks like an actual physical organizer with rings in the middle, paper pages, leather binding and everything! So pretty! It even has metal finishes for the edges and a leather pocket on the back page to slip something into. You can look through what Miles collected on the left page while the details are displayed on the right one with spaces marked for text and pictures, the evidence and profiles are separated by bookmarks on top of the pages and on the right there's a little sticky note that reads "Present" which I love to an unreasonable degree 😄 I keep finding things I absolutely adore about this collection!

The chapter selection I'm also not sure if I'm gonna use. I'm one who replays AA games in their entirety every time, especially the ones I love as much as the Investigations titles, and I don't want to skip any part of them. I'm sure it's gonna be useful for others though and who knows, maybe I'll feel like replaying some specific scenes at some point - like a certain someone's Logic Chess and following courtroom battle, for example 😉 If not, I will definitely go through all the chapter selection screens anyway just to see what all the different chapters are called. There are some parts I'm really curious about! According to this screenshot they also seem to have redesigned the episode title screens a little. In both Investigations games the covers for the episodes were specific characters important in the episode (like Miles for I1-1, for example) and different for each one. This they kept, of course, but they also added more background to them with another, differently coloured, image of the same character in action during the episode framed in one of the important locations of the episode. The colour chosen also seem to be specifically for each episode or character from what we can see, with this burgundy shade for Miles' episode and silver-blue-ish for Franziska's. Really looking forward to seeing what the other episode covers look like!

How will be Timezone when time passes? Like he will have a redesign or just be more serious? I got curious when you said that he will learn that his actions have consequences aa, i'd love to see the character development ;_;

Timezone will stay the same but maybe he'll be a little less reckless

His whole thing is just learning that every problem isn't black and white and things are a lot more complicated than they seem. Timezone tries to use his time travel abilities to find the best possible solution for everyone but it always ends in other people getting the short end of the stick. They need to learn that some bad things just happen and those things can't be reversed. There's no perfect timeline and it would be a waste to try and find the perfect outcome, sometimes you just have to let things happen and support those experiencing those bad things. Nothing can be so easily fixed and that's what Timezone's big lesson is.

Concept: ace attorney characters redrawn with curly hair instead of spiky.

If I were confident in my drawing abilities, i would do this myself, but instead i'll just list my ideas and if anyone draws these, i am super curious so pls link me to them

Phoenix's curls are small and look like his spiky hair from a distance.

Edgeworth's hair is wavy, but still kinda spiked

Franziska's hair has loose curls, and thats why she keeps it short. She hates it getting in the way

Maya's hair is frizzy, but not super curly otherwise

Pearl's hair is extremely curly, and the lil loop in her hair would more or less stay like that even without hair accessories

Mia's hair curls at the ends.

Apollo's spikes are super gelled because otherwise they'd be super curly and it makes him look less professional (not that his hairstyle looks professional otherwise lol)

Klavier's hair and Kristoph's hair both get pretty curly. Kristoph uses a straightener and puts it in a ponytail, while Klavier just puts it in a curly braid.

Athena has very curly hair. Whenever she doesn't have a ponytail, it gets really floofy. She prefers the texture when its more contained so she usually has it in a ponytail.

Simon Blackquill's hair is the floofiest. He's very proud of it, and after the events of Dual Destinies, he starts using conditioner to make it floofier.

Nahyuta's hair is naturally straight, but he curls it meticulously.

Trucy's hair is frizzy and very curly.

Kay Faraday has super curly hair, and its super tangled but she doesn't mind

Sebastian Debeste has a more subtle floof, but he secretly wants people to notice it more. He also enjoys when ppl play with his hair, which Kay probably does without thinking about it

miles is one of those people that's allergic to a lot of things. tree nuts, alcohol, tropical fruit, soy, etc. phoenix is not. but there is one allergy they have in common; chocolate. and they bond over how they never understood what's so great about chocolate anyway.

18. Game with the best cast?

it's a tossup between dgs2 and spirit of justice honestly! i love almost every single minor character in dgs2, especially in return of the great departed soul, as well as our main cast of course, but spirit of justice had really high character value too, between nahyuta and rayfa and dhurke and the entire cast of turnabout storyteller.

32. Character you wish to see return?

kay!!!! i am so mad that it took me till i played aai to even get a whiff of their existence in the series. i want to see them all grown up and redesigned and FRIENDS WITH TRUCY!!!

38. Plottwist that came as the biggest surprise to you?

no spoilers, but the revisualization sequence in rite of turnabout (6-3) blew my mind. literally got me hopping up and down and yelling like a monkey at the screen. good shit that case is FANTASTIC and i think that's even the first time they've done That Twist??

gonna be honest my bestie @odoroki-mikeko and i were bored one day and scrolling thru the playstation store looking for something new when we saw the dgs chronicles for pretty cheap. and we had obviously heard of ace attorney before but never thought of getting into it, but like, dgs was different enough from the main games that we gave it a go! the next day was the eve of a long weekend, and we got so sucked into the game that we briefly turned nocturnal, playing each case for hours and hours accidentally staying up every night of that weekend until we were like "IT'S SIX AM??? HOW????" and we were hungry for more after we finished dgs, so we got the original trilogy next and, yeah,

oh of course! i am nothing if not a man that plasters my blorbos all over every surface. as you can see my icon on here is barok (commissioned from @/eulogaeic!), my icon on my main is kristoph, and ive rotated through a few wallpapers since i got into aa. currently my lockscreen is apollo and trucy, and my home screen is the dual destinies cast! im thinking of changing them soon tho, i get bored easily and ive had them for a bit by now.

faraskye!! i dont personally get too into wlw (or nblnb as these two def are tbh), but i think they're a very nice ship and people should like them more. this is a threat.

Sexuality Headcanon: just like her sister, she is a mean lesbian. except even meaner! she’s a bitch and i love her. i think her thinking edgeworth is hot in rfta is a classic example of “baby lesbian picks out a pretty man who is completely out of reach to have a crush on, but it’s actually just gaydar”

Gender Headcanon: nonbinary lesbian! she’s somewhat open about being nonbinary (has a small flag button on her bag, but doesn’t like... tell people at work etc), but she does not feel like explaining any further to people because it’s a lot of very personal feelings that are hard to articulate outside of her own head and she would just rather not deal with it. it’s not your fucking business!!!

A ship I have with said character: i love how like all the girls in aa are in the same age group so by the time they’re in their 20s it’s fine for them to meet back up and be like “oh? lesbian? trauma about family? mutual friends?” i think i will enjoy faraskye once i play aai, i think franema is cool (as i said before), and i think maya/ema could have a fun fwb thing. aa lesbian polycule when. if she has to get paired with a man in the background of another fic, i think throwing her together with clay is fine because at least they have similar interests. and honestly, if it’s well-written i’m okay with k/a/e.

A BROTP I have with said character: i love the dynamic of her, apollo, and klavier hanging out and getting a little bitchy. so fun. this fic is a really gen fic (with hints of k/a) about klavier picking up ema and apollo after they go drinking and it’s just a really good fic about the characters hanging out. read it.

A NOTP I have with said character: god i cannot articulate how much i hate kl*ma. it is such typical het shit of “wow this woman constantly expresses how much she dislikes this man and finds him annoying and that he doesn’t respect her enough when she’s doing her job! obviously this is romantic!” it’s not. stop. leave her alone.

A random headcanon: she had a superwholock phase and she doesn’t want to talk about it. in present canon she bitches on twitter all the time and has irony poisoning and she’s so so so funny. i would reply guy for ema skye to combat all the brainwormed klavier stans in her mentions due to how she occasionally posts an unflattering candid of klavier (new rare pic) with a mean caption (insulting to the parasocial icon). klavier has to constantly tweet “please do not harass @luminolskye we are friends she is just joking :)” to which ema qrts with “i am not joking.” ema has all notifications from people she doesn’t follow muted.

General Opinion over said character: she’s soooo fun i love her... the emotional core of rfta was so compelling to me, i loved the struggle between the sisters trying to save each other. i CANNOT wait to meet her in aa4 after the timeskip - i think her redesign is great and what they did with her character is so interesting + fits thematically with the rest of the aa4 cast. she’s soooo hot and she’s MEAN and BITTER but also SMIRKING and god i’m obsessed! i love her i think she’s so hot! honestly the most girlfriendy in the aa cast for me! cannot wait for her call klavier homophobic names after he flirts with apollo in court. wlw/mlm antagonism.

A ship I have with said character: LANAMIA LANAMIA LANAMIA! i knew lana was gonna say that line but “she was attracted to me” still hit me like a truck. OH MY GOD! law school gfs... i also think they’re interesting to compare to each other - the way they care so much about their sisters and deal with the responsibilities left on their shoulders after their parents exit their lives. now i am very sad thinking about how lana retreated into herself and grew cold after gant started blackmailing her, and what if mia tried to reach her, but lana refused........... very sad! very sad! very sad!

A BROTP I have with said character: i think her and phoenix just being her supportively bullying him is very fun. starting out going like I HATE SIMPS I HATE SIMPS I HATE SIMPS and then actually... hiring him... probably helping him through law school with studying! and then his first trial being like WHY ARE YOU SO FUCKING STUPID? there’s also thoughts about how phoenix takes over for her as maya’s older sibling and how she supports him as a way to support maya... ugh! family units.

A NOTP I have with said character: i hate godot so god damn much. smug misogynist stop talking down to me. get away from him queen there’s a hot brunette in a scarf waiting for you at the prosecutor’s office wanting your strap

A random headcanon: i think mia studied extremely hard in law school, but i think in her spare time she was a fairly popular video essayist. phoenix helps pay rent on the office in the timeskip partially through ad revenue on her youtube channel.

General Opinion over said character: i love her i just wish... the game was less horny over her......... bro that shot of her dead body where her boobies are the literal focus of the image and you can almost see up her skirt... what the fuck? that’s the dead body of a woman i just talked to five minutes ago? also, because i’m currently playing aa3, i hate the stupid fucking scene where maya channels her so her badonkers can make the old man agreeable! it sucks! leave mia alone! regardless. i think she is hot and smart. and i wish i could just enjoy her titties in a tasteful depiction but noooo men are horny.

Avengers assemble had 4 seasons, the fourth ended with pretty much all the avengers together. They decided to make a 5th one but mix it up, they made an entirely different art style and redesigned every character and right off the bat they looked awful but I looked past that.

The story, unlike the previous four seasons, was focused on one person only, T'challa. I had high hopes because hey his character is interesting, but it just got so boring after a few episodes that I just stopped watching. Then came the finale with 2 episodes and I decided to watch that.

At the end of 5x12, Steve jumps on a bomb and covers it with his shield to save New York but the explosion destroys his shield and obliterates his body. T'challa was present and Natasha blames him for Steve's death, and all the avengers believe her.

5x13 is about T'challa trying to escape the avengers. They attack him one by one and they fucking crack jokes while doing so. They have little to no reaction beyond "how could you do this!" Upon finding out, and then no emotions at all during the fight scenes.

T'challa manages to get away despite the avengers' best efforts, and him and Shuri fly off into the sunset with some wholesome sibling banter ™™™

We return to the avengers in 5x14. At the beginning of the episode we see a hint of an emotion as Tony gives a speech but it's alas we're wrong since the whole thing is basically "Captain America was an icon and the people will miss him". Also Kamala cries. Tony then threatens Wakanda and gives some witty responses to interviewers.

Then cut to T'challa training shirtless, some irrelevant scene and then he breaks into avengers tower and starts fighting the avengers one by one. Here's another chance to show how sad they are but no - instead of getting any reaction out of them, they continue to act casual and keep cracking jokes, even Tony who was completely devastated and blinded by grief when he thought Cap died in 1x01. Instead, they bring in Bucky.

Bucky, who had 2 scenes in AA, one from a flashback that cap hallucinates and one where he's introduced as the winter soldier and Steve says something along the lines of "I gave up on him, he's too far gone" after spending the entire episode fist fighting him.

Now this Bucky, without any explanation or reason, spends the entire episode screaming about how important he was to Steve and how everyone will pay for what happened to him. He literally says that. Bucky whose last appearance was him beating the shit outta Steve and then fucking back to Russia.

At the end he accuses Tony of not being friends with Steve ("you weren't his friend, I was!") despite the fact that he's just. Really fucking wrong. Source: the common sense in my brain but also Steve himself in 3x26 where he places Tony above Bucky and says he (Tony) is the best friend he's ever had.

In 5x15, Tony makes one brief appearance but that's all.

In no less than 3 (three) episodes, they somehow managed to fail to include even a single fucking scene of the avengers being upset. Like fuck sure I get it uwu T'challa or whatever but Steve was the main character alongside Tony for four fucking seasons. I feel like his death should be at least somewhat reflected upon, if by noone else than at least Tony who reassembled the avengers and then still took out an entire hydra base and red skull by all himself because he thought red skull killed cap, who had the iconic "window hands of love" scene with cap in 3x26 where they had the "you make me a better person, you're the best friend I've ever had" exchange because there was a slight chance that Tony might die, and who Steve lifted into a hug and spun around after not seeing him for like a month and that's only scratching the surface.

And like, ok T'challa does cool flips or whatever the fuck but THE FUCKING MAIN CHARACTER JUST DIED

What did the avengers do after hearing the news?? How did they feel??? What are they thinking??? Did any of them cry???? Do they talk about it??? What is tony doing???? Because the only time we see him is when he’s being quirky and cracking jokes with T'challa. Yeah ok black panther looks rad or whatever while training shirtless but surprisingly enough I don’t give a single fucking shit because YOU JUST MURDERED THE MAIN CHARACTER AND NONE OF HIS FRIENDS HAD ANY REACTION TO IT AT ALL LIKE NOT EVEN THE VIEWERS GOT TO MOURN HIM BECAUSE Y'ALL DEDICATED EXACTLY 3.78 SECONDS TO HIS DEATH AND THEN FUCKING MOVED ON

New redrawn HD sprites for the AA Investigations Collection!

This is the 2nd post in the Ace Attorney Investigations Collection Countdown: 79 days left until release!

Today's topic: the new chibi character sprites! One thing I've always loved about the Investigations titles in comparison to the mainline AA games is the way you can actually walk around all the different areas. You have these adorable little sprites of the characters that you control that interact with the world around them. They show all of the big character animations that you see in the confrontations, just in tiny version, and even several unique ones on top of that! You also have a whole bunch of background characters like the forensic guys and several cameos just doing their stuff around you. I always loved how dynamic and lived-in they make the world feel!

Because of their small size they were done in pixel graphic for both games. You wouldn't be able to do much more detail on the tiny DS screen anyway. I've heard that already became kind of a problem for the mobile port because the graphics got better so the pixel characters started looking a little out of place. Now with the remaster for Switch, PC and Co. with even better graphics and larger screens it would be impossible to ignore. So for both games to look the best they possibly could they actually went through the effort of redrawing all of these sprites and redoing all of their animations! And they're absolutely amazing!

I adore them already! I could stare at them for hours, they're so pretty! I can't wait to actually see them in the game and play through the whole story with them. Watch me take forever because I'm constantly stopping just to stare at the pretty animations 😄 I love that they even had the original character designer do the redesign, no wonder they look so amazing then. And for people who don't like them (which I can't imagine why you wouldn't but hey) you can even pick the old pixel design instead. I might do that for a minute just to compare them but other than that it's the new chibi sprites for me all the way! Chibi-Miles won't rest until he's inspected every suspicious looking nook and cranny!
