headcannon/fic concept that i’m not gonna fully write out

so, we’ve got your average insane post-azkaban sirius, they’re….let’s just say not well, given that she was in azkaban for 12 years for a crime he didn’t commit

anyways, currently this is like i guess the laying low at lupine sort of time, remus is trying to help sirius where he can but of course it’s difficult. one of his first thoughts is the comfort that they shared in music as kids, so remus plays some queen for sirius.

“I’ve paid my due’s, time after time.”

Sirius’ eyes are wide, staring at Remus, gears in their mind turning as they start to remember the next lyrics just before they’re sung.

“I’ve served my sentence, but committed no crime.”

“Turn it off,” Sirius starts muttering, covering his ears.

Remus immediately gets up, feeling stupid about skipping to a random queen song. So stupid about the song choice. He skips forward to a different song, a song that hopefully Sirius wouldn’t want to skip given how closely they bonded over it when they started dating. (Somebody to Love)

“Turn it off,” Sirius continues, louder and louder as her hands hold tightly over his ears, “Turn it off, turn it off, turn it off!” They shake all over.

So Remus does, unsure what to do, he turns off the music and sits next to Sirius. Putting his hand out, and hoping that he can calm Sirius by his presence.
