YOU CAME home to you and your boyfriend’s apartment from work, tired as usual and you were all ready to just flop on your bed and stay there until your legs couldn’t work anymore.

“Niko, I’m home !”

You yelled tiredly, expecting loud steps coming your way and large arms wrapped around you, but these fulfilments needed by you were absent.

“Niko ?”

You furrowed your brows as you went to your bedroom, seeing no one there. Pulling your phone out of your back pocket, you decide to call him, before getting cut off by the entry door opening, speeding to the living room, you see Niko with freshly brought suitcases.

“You know we already have suitcases, right ? Besides, what do you need these for ?”

“We’re going to Dubai.”

He said with a smile on his face as you hit the best laugh you ever had in a while.

“Um, what ? First of all, where did you find tickets ? And secondly, I’ll be working anyways so..”

“I already called your boss about that, no worries.”

“But-“

He cut you off by placing his index finger on your lips and shushed you.

“You have worked enough, little girl. You haven’t even got time to see me recently, and I miss you.”

He tapped your nose.

“Aww..Well you could’ve just said that from the start. Anyways, when are we going ?”

You said, heading towards the kitchen.

“Today.”

You swore you could’ve cracked your neck and died by how fast you turned your head.

“Ho, what ?”

“Yep, so better pack up now, we leave at 10.”

You and Niko boarded off the plane and left the airport, feeling the heat of the sun and Abu Dhabi on your skin.

“Oh my days, it’s so hot here.”

You giggled, seeing Niko air out his shirt. You called a cab, placed your suitcases in the trunk, got in the cab, drove and got dropped off at the hotel Niko reserved. You came out of it with shock on your face, from the beauty and size of the hotel.

“Oh wow, it’s big..”

“What ? Didn’t expect this size ?”

The whole trip was so fun and romantic, you thanked Niko for this little break from work as you sat on a random spot at the beach, watching the sunset as it was your last day here.

You both laughed and ended that with a sigh.

"But really, thank you. I love you."

I smiled and looked over Niko to see him already staring at me.

"No worries. Happy birthday, darling, I love you too."

He leaned in to kiss me as I placed my hand on his cheek.

Your boyfriend AJ has been acting weird all day. He is kinda a weird guy, but not usually this weird.

For example, AJ’s not usually affectionate but you guys do still have morning cuddles in bed. But this morning, there was none of that, AJ was practically glued to his side of the bed, just laying there, facing the ceiling, not even saying a word. If you couldn’t see that his eyes were open, you would’ve thought he was dead.

Then, when it was time for breakfast, AJ just sat there, not eating, not speaking, hardly even blinking! You may as well have been having breakfast with a statue, there wouldn’t be much of a difference anyway.

You were going to work in the office today you so went to get ready, doing your make up, getting an outfit together and packing your bag. Usually whilst you would do this, AJ would follow you from room to room, this was his time to talk to you as you were usually in meetings all day so couldn’t call or text during the day. But today, while you were getting ready he just sat on the sofa, staring at the TV that wasn’t even on!

You yelled goodbye to AJ before leaving, expecting to at least get a goodbye back but it was like he didn’t even hear you.

You quickly leave the house, slamming the door behind you in annoyance. Why was he being so weird? Whatever this was, you just hoped he was back to normal by the time you got home.

You spend most of your work day in meetings as per usual but whenever you had a moment to yourself you found yourself thinking about AJ.

Why was he being like this? Did you do something wrong? What if he was going to break up with you?! You felt your thoughts start to spiral but quickly pulled yourself together, knowing you couldn’t get upset at work. You only had a couple meetings left today and then you could go home and properly talk to AJ about this.

You arrive home, pulling up in the drive way and taking a deep breath before getting out and walking over the front door. You had a really bad feeling, you just wanted to know what was going on.

You unlock the door and walk inside the house to find AJ exactly where you left him this morning, just sitting on the couch, starting into space.

“Ok AJ, what’s actually going on?”

You say loudly trying to get his attention, this seems to work as he finally snaps out of this daze to look at you.

“You’ve been acting so strange all day and I just can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong! Are you angry at me? Are we going to break up? What’s going on?!”

You say, not even realising how heated you’re getting. AJ just looks at you before saying,

“Y/N, I love you.”

You just stand there, absolutely dumbfounded.

“…huh?”

AJ just smiles before walking over to you and wrapping you in a hug.

“I love you. I’ve been trying to figure out how to tell you all day. That’s why I’ve been kinda weird.”

You’re absolutely shocked. AJ Shabeel loved you?

“Really?”

You say confused,

“Yes, really.”

AJ says, sounding very serious,

“I love you too AJ. Just promise to not go acting like that again. It really confused me.”

You say, laughing a little.

Your day was marked by the crisp of the evening warmth and the hubbub of your friends who – stationed in front of you – were competing in a game of volleyball. Throughout the ruckus, some sand managed to be lodged in your direction.

“Sorry mate!” Aj yells from the distance in front of you.

You yell in feigned fury and massage the corner of your pinky toe that the sand lightly grazed.

“Well now you’re just being dramatic,” Aj jests.

You were being dramatic.

Asshole! You thought. And then you agreed. Then you laughed.

Aj laughs along before continuing his game.

“What are you doing laughing with him? Laugh with me.” Your gaze falls upon your boyfriend who currently lays his head on your thigh, an arm loosely draped across both your legs.

You and Niko along with your friends needed a break and you all agreed on the leisure activity of a beach day. You’re now sitting in the comfort of a tree’s shadow, trying to cater to the needy koala attached to your leg.

“Well make me laugh, then.”

“You’re a little wisecrack, huh?” Niko pinches your inner thigh – not rough enough to hurt you, but rough enough to elicit a yelp from you. Your boyfriend haughtily laughs at the look of disbelief displayed on your face.

“You idiot, I said, make me laugh, not you.”

Niko smiles at you, “I’m sorry, love,” he plants a small kiss on your thigh, his fingers playing with the string of your bikini.

“It’s ok,” you softly assure him; your hand instinctively reaches for his hair as you massage his scalp, turning your gaze to your friends once again.

Sharky yells at the both of you to join the game, and you’re not too sure if that was a question or an order, but you both get up anyways.

Adorning your mini skirt, you head on over to your friends’ direction; but not before your boyfriend grabs your upper arm and leans down to your ear, declaring that he’s going to “whoop your butt” in Volleyball. You raise an eyebrow and ignore the nagging thought that the sunlight enhanced the beauty of your boyfriend’s face tremendously. Sarcasm paints your smile as you pat his butt before running off to your team. You giggle and ignore the flustered calls of Niko’s.

Both teams stood at a tie, and your team’s win depended on this very round. You catch Niko's eye, and he winks at you.

Bemused at the punk’s attempt to fluster you, you wink right back and get in position to strike the ball that Kenny set from the back.

“Aww, dear, why so serious?” You feign a pout and poke at your boyfriend’s chest.

You’re both strolling alongside the shops that border the beach, enjoying ice cream cones; and you, specifically, revelling in your boyfriend’s loss during the volleyball game.

Niko glances at your playful pout and rolls his eyes, a slight smile threatening to break out on his face. “I’m not, you little bug.”

“Yeah, you are,” you drag out the ‘Yeah’.

Keeping his gaze straight forward, Niko raises the back of his hand and tips your cone back, the ice cream caking your nose.

“Bastard!” scandalised, you hop and fling Niko’s ice cream cone.

The entire ice cream cone falls flat onto the road.

You and Niko stare at the flattened ice cream cone in disbelief.

The dread on Niko’s face evokes a snort from you, to which your boyfriend looks at you unimpressed.

“Here—” you extend your hand that holds your ice cream cone - albeit melted, but nonetheless - “—you can have mine.”

“Thanks, but no. Let’s go buy a new one.”

“All the way back there?!” You turn your head back, mourning your future self’s legs at the sight of the long journey back to the ice cream shop.

A huff eludes from your boyfriend, before he hoists you up into a bridal carry.

You are more than comfortable in this position, licking your ice cream as you enjoy the view of the face of your carrier.

In the store, Niko sets you down on a chair. An accusatory finger is pointed directly at you. “Stay.”

A mumble akin to ‘sodemandingsheesh’ leaves your mouth, but you comply nonetheless.

Niko overlooks the ice cream flavours, eventually figuring out the one he wants. At the thought of you, he turns to ask, “Love, do you—”

He finds that you’ve not only left your seat, but that you seem to have found a lot of comfort in the sidewalk across the street which overlooks the ocean.

He smiles, endeared by your antics. Niko turns back around to the employee. “Make it two, please.”

“That’s entirely unfair, you were making fun of me!” You and your boyfriend are sitting back at the beach, under the same tree, the sun’s gleam ever so mellow; debating where things went wrong before the Incident.

“Well, you’re the jokester, I figured you could take a joke,” you defend your mockings from earlier.

“She’s not wrong, Niko,” Chunkz validates your point and you nod your head at him in acknowledgement.

“Chunkz, shut your mouth.” Niko wasn’t actually mad. He enjoys the banter a lot. Like. A lot. He thrives off of it.

“Rude body,” you shake your head as you tut at the man sitting across you. “Also, it’s your turn.”

Niko moves his knight to G3. “Your turn.” At the sight of a stray hair, he tucks the strand behind your ear. You look up at him, a questioning smile adorning your face.

What’s his strategy?

Sensing your thoughts, he rolls his eyes at your paranoia and clears up “That wasn’t a strategic move; can’t a man love on his girlfriend?” You don’t fail to see Niko’s smug smile.

You realise your boyfriend’s priority of flirting left his Queen in a vulnerable position. “First of all, don’t ever say ‘love on his girlfriend’ ever again — ” you move your knight, “Second of all; checkmate.”

Your laughter reverberates and your friends break out into celebratory song and dance; and Niko can’t help but smile at the joy exuding from you.

“I’m sorry for making fun of you.” You interlock your fingers with his and kiss his hand.

“It’s ok,” Niko assures you.

Sitting on the deck while overlooking the sunset, you and Niko enjoy the sight in each other’s presence.

“I love you.” You utter.

Niko stared at you and couldn’t figure it out. Maybe it’s the warmth of your skin. Maybe it’s the way the late evening sun’s gaze appreciates the rich brown of your eyes. Maybe it’s the way you physically react to an intense moment in the books you bury yourself in. Maybe it’s the elegance and unapologetic kindness you emanate. Maybe it’s the warmth of your soul. Maybe it’s all of this. Maybe that’s why he is in love. Who cares, really? That much he can't deny. He thinks of little else but you. And when you turn your head to meet his gaze, he thinks he’s fallen in love all over again.

“I love you too.”

Dating Niko Omilana was amazing until it came to fame. The fans didn’t know about you and him, maybe some were suspicious of you both, I mean the fans were always suspecting something once someone follows someone.

I mean they were right, because you were dating. When Niko brought you on set with the beta squad, you were excited, but still you weren’t sure how the fans would feel about you.

What if they wouldn’t like you? What if they don’t think you’re good for Niko once they all find out about you two? What if the- you got distracted in your thoughts, when Niko called your name.

“Y/n, im ready to go, are you?” You nodded, getting up from your seat, ready to drive to the set with Niko. When you both arrived, mostly everyone was already there so you got ready and just waited till the people who were auditioning for the video, got ready.

They were filming “Match the girlfriend to the boyfriend” and they invited because they thought you’d be just great for this video.

When tge filming started you introduced yourself, but yet still not talking a lot. You were sat in between Niko and Aj, the girlfriend walked in the room and you complimented her while the guys said hi.

“Hi, you’re very pretty!” You smiled at her, when she sat down.

“Thank you, you’re pretty aswell!” She smiled back at you.

“Could you please introduce yourself?” Niko politely asked her, as he was sitting on end of the table.

“I’m Monica and I’m from Czechia.”

When the video came out you were scared to open the video comments after you watched the video, but you still did. A comment you saw about your self with a lot of likes was “0:55 Yn complimenting the girlfriend is an amazing first impression.” The comment had 1.1k likes and you were surprised.

You scrolled further down and saw a comment such as “yn’s so pretty, who is she? I need to know asap” which you smiled at.

You continued to scroll and saw the fans being supportive, you were glad. But of course there was few hate comments such as “isn’t that the girl who’s everyone suspicious of? The one who’s trying to steal Niko from us.. 🙄”

You just rolled your eyes, they had no chance with him anyway. You went on tiktok scrolling through it, you came across an edit of yourself and it had 14.2k likes.

You reposted the video, and closed the app. Walking into your and Niko’s kitchen, seeing him there you walked up to see what he’s up to.

“What are you doing?” You asked.

“Nothing, really,” he smiles at you, putting his phone away to give you all his attention “did you saw the new beta squad video?”

“Yeah, just now. I saw the comments..”

“What were they bad?” He started to get worried.

“No of course not,” you laughed. “Actually I was surprised when I saw that they were so nice.”

“See I told you they would be nice.”

“Yeah for now..” you corrected him “what are they gonna say when we’re gonna tell about our relationship?”

“It’s gonna be good,” he assured you “the fans are supportive and if they like you now, they will like you even more as my girlfriend.” He pulled you to him to give you a kiss.

You believed him. “Okay. I saw an edit of myself today. Do you wanna see it?” You pulled out your phone, out of your back pocket still standing in between his legs.

Few weeks went past and the support kept going on, you’d even say you could be Niko’s fan favourite. They always talked about you both, even though you both hadn’t revealed to the media.

a/n: hii everyone i’m back from the dead like i always am every few months!!! school has been draining, but one night i got this motivation and managed to write this, hope you like it <3 btw i know i should be finishing of the hunger games requests, but there are so little fics on here for the beta squad members and the motivation just got to me when watching a video.

also pleaseeeee start requesting more beta squad, not just niko because there aren’t many fics for these amazing men

NIKO never knew what it was like to be so infuriated by someone, it caused restless nights. To be so head over heels, that all your thoughts were consumed by only that person. That was until Niko met you. The way you had him wrapped around your finger, without you even noticing or trying, was something he never understood. But it was you, how could he not be?

The famous youtuber also didn’t know what it was like to love someone that wasn’t his. Someone not meant for him.

He had respect for your relationship, of course, he wasn’t one to mingle and make things worse. Especially since your boyfriend was one of the best ones you’ve had. However, the mere thought of you drove him absolutely insane and he wasn’t sure for how much longer he could bear it anymore.

You were happy, though, and he didn’t want to be the reason that would be ruined.

So he avoided you like the plague. Leaving every room you entered, switching the topic whenever you were mentioned, trying to keep his eyes from wandering off to where you were standing. It was killing him, but if it meant keeping you happy, he didn’t mind the torture one tiny bit.

Niko hadn’t told anyone about what he felt for you, he would take it to his grave, that’s for sure. Yet, he was more obvious than he thought he was, since he’s noticed the sympathetic looks his friends gave him whenever you were around. Numerous times. It didn’t matter, it’s not like you were ever going to find out and that’s all that really mattered.

After Niko had arrived back at his apartment, he was surprised to hear not a single sound being made. Knowing Aj, he would always either be gaming and yelling for the whole neighbourhood to hear or edit a video with the volume on to the max.

After checking a few rooms for where his roommate was, he got a call from Aj himself.

“Where are you, you rat?” Niko questioned, not even bothering to greet him. Aj let out a laugh on the other line, “Missing me now, are you? Giraffe.”

Niko rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help the smile forming on his face, “Ha ha, hilarious.”

“Anyway, I’m at Chunkz’ right now.”

And after conversing for a few minutes, discussing everything and nothing, they ended the call. The tall guy let out a loud sigh, as he sat down on the sofa, turning on the tv to watch anything that came up first. However, just when he was about to push the button of the remote, the doorbell rang.

Niko was confused to say the least, but didn’t expect much of it. It was probably one of his friends needing something from him.

When Niko opened the door, however, he wished he didn’t. His heart dropped to his stomach, his breath hitching in his throat. That was the effect you had on him. Your hair was messed up quite a bit, your lips forming a pout as you looked at him. Oh, how he had to restrain all the power in him not to kiss that pout away.

A soft call of your name left his lips, as if he was terrified it was just a hallucination. “Niko,” Your voice was stern, yet there was some kind of sadness to it. And without saying another word, you entered the apartment as if you owned the place.

When you walked past him, your scent wafted into his nostrils and he took it in. He closed his eyes, not wanting to lose control and confess the second he turned around and looked at you again. Niko closed the door, taking his sweet time going to you. You were pacing back and forth in the living space of the apartment, your eyebrows furrowed and face filled with worry.

“What’s wrong?” Niko questioned, earning a rather unbelievable scoff from you. When you stopped pacing and moved closer to him, Niko took back a step, making you even more frustrated than you were before. “You’re asking me what’s wrong? I should ask you!” You couldn’t comprehend why the closest friend you had ever had, wasn’t present in your life anymore. The minute your feet took a step closer to him, he backed away once more, “Look! What’s this? Why are you avoiding me?”

You were absolutely fuming to put it lightly. What was he doing?

His gaze fell down to the floor, because if he would look at you right now, he knew he would ruin things even more. “I don’t get it, Niko…” Your voice was dripping with desperation, but you couldn’t care less at the minute, only interested in whatever was going between the two of you.

Another step closer, but this time he didn’t budge, his eyes stuck to the ground. But when you said his name so sweetly, who could blame him when he averted his gaze to meet yours. The question that left your lips, made the guilt sink inside of him, “What did I do wrong?”

However he didn’t cave in. He couldn’t and he wouldn’t, no matter how tempting the thought of you being his seemed right now.

“Niko, please. Talk to me!”

Silence, once again.

“Nik-“

“I can’t talk, please don’t make me.” His whisper was barely audible, but still loud enough for you to hear. “Why not, huh? Are you just going to ignore me like you have done for the past couple of-“

“I have to! I never wanted for this to happen.”

The tone in his voice took you by surprise, your eyes searching his for a more clear answer, “What are you talking about?”

“You think I wanted for all of this to happen? Of course not!” He started, and he regretted everything he said after, “I couldn’t help it. Couldn’t help to feel at home with you, couldn’t help but feel as if you are the only one in this universe.”

His gaze was burning into yours, “I couldn’t help but fall in love with you.”

Something fluttered unwantedly in your chest, followed by your breath hitching in your throat. Niko’s in love with you?

“You… what?”

“I fell for you, hard and painfully so. I’m sorry, okay? It happened one way or another and now you’re the one consuming my thoughts and dreams. I care for you and love you so deeply, it hurts me to stay away from you. But I did what’s best and will continue doing so.” He rambled, never noticing how you were still hung up on the first sentence he uttered.

But when you met his gaze once more, and saw the spark in his eyes when he looked at you, you wondered how you could’ve been so blind. “Now, please, leave before I do something both of us will regret.” Niko warned firmly.

You were stood there absolutely speechless, but came back to earth quickly, when you realised your boyfriend was waiting for you outside.

With a grin, he set his phone down beside you, his eyes locking onto yours. “No, nothing's wrong, just a bit chilly isn't it?”

he responded, nonchalantly brushing off the moment. You chuckled, nodding in agreement. “Yeah, it's freezing, almost had to use boiling hot water,” you joked.

“Hmm..” he added, pursing his lips thoughtfully. “C’mere”, he motioned, leaving you slightly puzzled. “I'm right beside you,” you furrowed your brows grinning, observing his smile growing. “I know, just..c’mere,” he stated,

his tone more so demanding now than asking.

“Okay..,” you whispered, chuckling softly and complying with his request.

You settled onto his lap, noticing his smile shifting into a smirk as he sat up, making space for you.

His eyes roamed you up and down as he gently reached out his hand, tracing your cheek, earning a little smile from you. “What is it?”

you inquired, noticing a subtle change in his demeanor as he chuckled,

“Nothing..you're just so pretty,” he replied softly, causing you to laugh as he continued to stroke your cheek tenderly. “Hmm? Is that all?” you added, curious about his intentions.

“No,” he replied, leaning in to kiss you, his hands now wrapping around your waist. Smiling into the kiss, you chuckled softly, reciprocating the kiss as your legs instinctively wrapped around his waist.

Grinning at your response, his hand slowly shifted from your waist to your thigh, causing you to momentarily break the kiss and gasp softly in surprise.
