FANTOCCIO FACTS POST (from screenshots i found in my own interests server)
- His name is italian for puppet, but he pronounces it incorrectly and insists it’s the correct way to say his name if anyone else points it out and says he’s wrong.
- He’s not from Italy, obviously. Goes to show. But Ash imagines he knows a bit of italian. (“Not enough Italian to say his name right.” - Katie.)
- Fantoccio has a pet shark named Sharkspeare! Mentioned in the song at the line “‘Cause Sharkspeare’s looking mean!”
- Fantoccio has to make all his own props, set pieces, clothes, etc in the theatre.
- Would never smoke, and would hate being around it/people who’re doing it actively.
- Fantoccio was made by Ash as a fan OC for the game, and this (as far as I’m aware) is what got them hired onto the game, cause Katie loved their ideas so much.
- Fantoccio is not very good with kids.
- Fantoccio’s favorite food is churros. This came from the fact Ash once had a dream about him infodumping about them cause he loved them so much, so they made it canon.
- Don’t worry, he can indeed taste things normally. No traditional taste buds, but some, nonetheless. Same goes for touch!
- Fantoccio is canonically autistic, having many traits of himself heavily projected from Ash, themself.
- When asked what his meltdown triggers could be, Ash thought that some might be: too much touching, being without his hat, or one of his props breaking.
- Fantoccio likes wearing dresses! Wears them if he feels like it or if the role calls for it, during a play.
- Ash thinks he’d ADORE snow.
- Fantoccio would 100% love spicy italian from subway.
- Fantoccio plays violin!
- Fantoccio would chant “I’m sleeping” when struggling to fall asleep, like his own version of counting sheep.
- He would NEVER say the Earth is flat.
- He’d be the “How do you do that” of that one keysmash meme, if paired with Barnaby.
- Ash once said that Fantoccio is like Duck from Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared.
- When doing a personality type test (and actually answering truthfully instead of in character) for Fantoccio, he ended up with ENTJ-T, Commander. Fanto would answer untruthfully on some questions, like if he ever gets insecure (“PFFFT NO THE ANSWERS NO”).
- He can go uwu in the bbu lore, but he’ll hate it. (“THIS IS STUPID!!!”)
- Fantoccio would apparently be a “mac and cheese FIEND.”
- He’d hate pranks (specifically a hand zapper in this case), because they’re unexpected. (“NEVER DO THAT AGAIN”)
- This also means he’d never troll anyone, cause he feels above that.
- Fanto would HATE hearing people crack their knuckles, like Ash does.
- Fantoccio loves to carve wood. Specifically only by hand, that’s how much he loves it! He carved the two giant wooden hands used in his battle, but his favorite thing to carve is ducks.
- Fantoccio is very intent on ONLY eating the few foods he knows he likes.
- If he were an ice cream, he’d be coffee flavor! Which is ironic, because Ash has also said that it’d probably be terrible to give Fantoccio caffeine.
- Fantoccio would LOVE chicken nuggets.
- Hates pizza, though. Too greasy and messy.
- Would enjoy having an ipad “a little too much. He would be super confused at first but once he learns how to use it DO NOT TAKE IT AWAY”. (kinda like Peridot from Steven Universe)
- He would like spruce wood in Minecraft, but also acacia “just to look at.”
- Ash adores pirates, so so does Fantoccio!
- He has no nose, so no sneezes!
- Appreciates detail as much as Barnaby does.
- Fanto would love birds!
- Fanto is not capable of curse words. Sad.
- Fantoccio would COLLAPSE trying to lift someone without his powers.
- He stims by patting his face and spinning around. Fidgets with his hands in concepts for his standing idle animations, because he’s uncomfortable with standing and prefers floating.
- He’d favor Murder Mystery!
- His wood is alive and can grow like a real boy! (if you’ve seen my post being reblogged around, lol)
- He lives in the lost city of magic, which is abandoned and overrun my magical zombies who used to be magic users, now with a terrible curse. So he lives mainly in his theatre. He’s not trapped, anymore, like his old story!
- Fantoccio’s powers are based around telekinesis and teleportation. It’s how he moves his body around!
- He used to have a plush toy rabbit he carried around, when he was younger, seemingly. It’s unclear where that went, when he got older.
- Fantoccio’s been locked up in this city for 15 years, since he was 8. Completely isolated (save for those zombies, I suppose)! When Billie comes along, though, he’s so excited to have something new to play with!
- Fanto’s song is inspired by Weird Al. Like 90% of this game is, of course /lh. He was also inspired by the pied piper!
- He’d dislike the idea of seafood. (“He’d be like “Why would anyone want to eat a fish?!” And cover Sharkspeare’s nonexistent ears like “Don’t listen to them!””)
- The red feather in his hat is also used as a pen!
- Fantoccio is a being of pure magic, having an entire magic gem be his whole life source. This means he can use magic endlessly without getting tired (I believe)!
- Fantoccio is 23, he/him, and pansexual.
- His face is made using magic. It disappears when/if he’s magic-less.
- Fantoccio can absolutely feel pain.
- When it comes to nature, Ash said he’d kinda be like Rarity from MLP:FiM, but certain kinds of nature he’d still really love. He’d really dislike walking through the wild or camping in general, but loves things like snow or flower fields. Just depends!
- Fantoccio would main Bowser in Mario Kart.
-In terms of favorite Halloween treats, Fantoccio would like anything chewy and fruity (no chocolate)!
- Canonically wears eyeliner.
- Magic sparks from his fingertips when he’s very excited!
- If Fantoccio was an animal, Ash says he’d be a cat.
- No traditional gross human stuff inside him like others, just wood and sap. “Whatever trees do.”
- His original concept by Ash was him having a purple phantom head, being a ghost in a puppet’s body. This was changed by Katie, I believe.
(feel free to add on if I missed anything! i’ll edit this post if i randomly remember something)

@eowon @rogerzsteven @devirnis and @thewolvesof1998 all tagged me in temptation Tuesday! Let's see do I have any new temptations...
Well this fic is me giving into temptation instead of writing like any of the longer more pressing fic ideas I have going ahshsh
This scene popped into my mind and I feel like I should find someplace to put it. Maybe it could go in proposal fic?
“Dad?”  Buck’s head does a little swivel around the room at Christopher’s voice. “Think he’s in the backyard, kid.”  “No-“ Chris frowns a little, coming close enough to tug on Buck’s sleeve. “I mean… Dad. Buck, Dad.” Buck blinks, once and then several times very rapidly. This morning Eddie had told him Christopher wanted to try something, smiling a mischievous little smile as he’d given him the mysterious heads up, but Buck hadn’t expected this. He swallows and tries to play it cool even as tears are forming in his eyes. “Oh- uh- Yeah?” “Can I go play Minecraft? Dennis and Leah said they were going to be online.” Chris’ face is so open and innocent, like he maybe just forgot its chore day in the Diaz house and last Buck checked he hadn’t even really started on his room yet. “Please, Dad?”  Buck’s still watery eyes narrow. “You’re a little bit evil,” he says, pointing at him. Chris just keeps smiling serenely like he’s never even heard of the concept of weaseling out of responsibilities, never even thought about emotionally bribing his poor old Buck. “Dad?" Biiiig eyes. "Can I?”  “… No?” It comes out warbly and high pitched and completely unsure.  "No to what?" Eddie comes down the hallway, wiping dirty hands on his old worn chore day jeans.  "Nothing," Chris says, innocently, beginning to giggle. He full on cackles as Buck loops an arm around him and gives him a gentle noogie. "You gremlin," Buck grins, holding the kid as he squirms. He looks up at Eddie, who's smiling down at the two of them so fondly. Dad? Buck mouths, feeling once again the sort of freefall swoop he gets in his stomach whenever he finds a new way the Diaz family have seamlessly fit him into their lives. Eddie does a little head tilt nod, smile even warmer. Then his eyebrows scrunch up and he points to Chris. What did he do? Buck shakes his head with an eye roll that does nothing to dim how happy he's sure he looks. "You gotta clean your room, child o' mine, video games later."  "Fine," Chris says, voice still laced with laughter. Buck loosens his hold to let him go get on with it, but pulls him into something more like a hug before he does. "Hey," he says, overwhelmed for a moment by how big this kid has grown. He'd been so small, a million years ago in a school parking lot after an earthquake. "I love you so much." Buck feels Chris' smile where he presses it into Buck's shoulder. "Love you too, Dad."
And then I guess every current wip is kind of tempting me from every other one... I should list 'em out and find some writing game to reblog to make you guys bully me into working on them.

ok sick i love being enabled
Tumblr media
now to preface maybe i should say im not particularly interested in the fucking aspect of selfcest, it just doesnt do much for me beyond what selfcest as a premise is already doing for me, and what im far more into is like choking or stabbing each other to death (like in mozaik role) or if one of them is already a corpse
i went at it in sort of a center out approach bc the question that prompted this was "does jerking off count as selfcest" which is obviously no bc there has to be at least 2 bodies i think
1 step removed from "you", that dark grey circle, is sort of the platonic ideal of "another you". this 2nd you is EXACTLY EXACTLY identical to you. im inclined to think that even though this Could be considered "selfcest" in the technical definition of the word, it doesnt have the Spirit of selfcest, or what makes selfcest appealing most of the time.
mind you, by exactly identical i MEAN exactly identical. its like fucking a mirror. this is mostly a hypothetical, because i dont think ive actually ever seen selfcest done this way? theres always at least Some minor difference. personally, if this ever actually happened, i feel like it would be almost robotic, just going through the motions, knowing exactly what the other person is doing and would do and wants
the charm of selfcest, like most things, lies in the imperfection and differences, i think. although my philosophy friend has different opinions
Tumblr media
and tbh now that ive had more time to think on it, do you even know what "exactly you" is? is it possible to know the entirety of "who you are"? i wouldnt say i know even 60% of who i am. would you recognise you if you passed you on the street? (although i guess if you did "pass you" on the street, then that other you wasnt "exactly you" anyway) or maybe, would another you who is "exactly you" be completely unrecognizable to you yourself? in the way 100% pure food compounds taste sterile? this is sort of why the concept of "exactly you" is just a hypothetical thought experiment to me, it just serves to emphasize what selfcest is about.
anyway my friend invented noncon selfcest in a effort to figure out what situation "exactly you" would happen in
Tumblr media
the green zone is sort of your standard selfcest, most selfcest falls here. i dont feel like i have to elaborate too much since im not trying to classify the taxonomy of the different sources of selfcest (i.e. cloning, mimics, time travel, splitting a person, just plain alternate universe, etc etc) and thats not the point of this, since all types of selfcest are just a means to an end (selfcest), and selfcest is also just a means to an end (character study)
the yellow zone is a bit hard to put into words but its like, not exactly "2 of the same person", but it still has the spirit of selfcest. most mimics would fall here. seimei and haruaki are actually in this category i think because theyre different enough people. you could say haruaki is seimei, but idk if you can say seimei is haruaki.
now white haru and normal haru. thats SOLIDLY in the green zone thats THE MOST classic definition of selfcest (a la hetalia 2P). thank u tanaka mai for the fanservice.
(actually now that im googling hetalia 2p there isnt even that much color palette inverting. where did that come from if not hetalia. i know i have ocs from 10+ years ago that was 2 of the same guy but color inverted and i knew other ppl who had ocs like that or was doing that to minecraft youtubers. hell i still have ocs like that)
BONUS ROUND the so-called selfcest pipeline. i dont fully buy it bc i think selfcest is super easy to get into but also we dont have the sample size. if u read until here ur the sample size now. how did u get into selfcest
Tumblr media
BONUS BONUS ROUND the whatever this is
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BONUS BONUS BONUS ROUND the response for the person who originally raised the "is jerking off selfcest" question

I've recently gotten really into this genre of ARG that is based around classic nostalgic late 2000 and early 2010 video games. These don't seem to get half as much attention outside of their dedicated communities and I find it a real shame, because if anything I connect more to the timeframe these supposedly take place in comparison to other nostalgic types of video game horror ARGs based on early 2000 and 90s platform video games.
Thought I would list a few of these out. Most of them seem to be incomplete/abandoned unfortunately, but who knows. I really like the stuff that is built up here and hopefully more people start to consider exploring it in a more fleshed-out manner!
Old Minecraft Reuploads - This series hasn't been updated in 2 years, which is super unfortunate because it probably has to be my favorite of the approaches to this format! It is so effectively frightening without depending on any obtuse jumpscares. A majority of its eeriness comes from the ambiance already displayed in early Minecraft games. If you are familiar enough with playing them, you can kind of get the gist that something isn't right here. The immersion is super effective too. I'm not a fan of ARG's that hammer in their fictional and "otherworldly" elements too heavily. It takes me out a bit. All the glitches and discrepancies here feel like things that could actually happen, which makes it more scary! The last episode is especially frightening from the acting of the player alone. I never thought I could actually read fear in a faceless and voiceless screen recording, but it is SO impressive what evoked here. It is sad to me that I haven't heard much about this until now, and that it appears to be inactive. For what it's worth I would love for it to get more attention, even if just to see what is already there!
Gunslingerpro2009 and BadwaterVideos2009 - These two are not connected in any way, but they explore similar subject matter, so I feel it is appropriate to put them together. The format these base themselves on are classic TF2 gmod videos/animations. With the twist though that the ragdolls used in the game are sentient and being tortured/mistreated by the player/uploader. It is a cool concept I am surprised hasn't been played around with more with this genre. Absolutely recommended if you are a fan of that era of gmod content and psychological horror.
gmod9fan reuploads - This one kind of ends in a whimper and I don't think it is being continued (last update was 4 years ago), but the ideas being explored here are interesting. I think of the gmod ARGs it is the one that felt the most "scary" to me. Mostly just creepy stuff happening on someone's old gmod videos.
Classic GM Videos - I'm not the most invested in this one, but it feels worth mentioning nonetheless, and actually appears to be actively continuing compared to a majority of these. I would say my biggest complaint is the narrative that appear to be built here kind of fluctuates and doesn't have a strong amount of focus between the uploads. There is a sense that the creator is still figuring out what they want to say, but the Bob and Bill stuff is really captivating to me enough to keep an eye on it.
Minecraft Alpha 1.0.16 Versions - Still watching this, but it kind of appears to be an account under the pretense of uploading videos of a non-existent variant of Alpha 1.0.16. It feels a bit like a Herobrine-centered ARG, so if you are into that subject it could be fun.
Anyway, just thought I would find a way to bring some of these more into the spotlight since I find the approach really unique and fun. Not that I have a huge audience or anything, but anything to get the word out. I think the effort put into them deserve way more attention. Also, if you know of any other ARG's that fit this bill PLEASE feel free to let me know. I love this stuff.

I, hm. Serious bit right here but i just think this event is kinda not worth it? like as much fun as some people are having this is one of the biggest nukes dropped on the fandom and the ccs and the negativity is reaching a point where it just is not worth it.
the fandom is literally split over this, infighting is at its peak and its so awful, certain teams are unbalanced not just based on skill but on viewership and support.
to me, for pvp events theres a scale from like, hunger games on hypixel to the traffic series. pvp competitions are not usually fought between friends, and when they are, they arent structured like this. i cant really explain but traffic series death games are so different, theres more weight to deaths, and they have to form teams on their own, instead of being split into them. there is very little kill on sight, at least not at the start.
idk, this feels structured too much like a hunger games competition where the ccs are just picked, and arent friends neccessarily. but these guys Are friends.
pvp games, dying in minecraft, shaky battles and rules that can be bent all lead to actual hurt feelings and fan misinterpretations. its fun, so fun in concept, but i think they shouldnt have rushed into it full tilt, wish they had tested a bit first.
ik its purgatory, ik its supposed to bring out the worst in people, but when theres all this stress and negativity flying around and people literally cannot hang out together? mm, not worth it, this will have a ripple effect throughout not just the story but the goddamn fans. we are literally being "team jacob vs team edward"-ed. like, ship wars are bad enough but this is how fandoms become cesspools of discourse.
im trying not to let this make me hateful, i will try my hardest, i hope yall do too.
right before purgatoryy we literally had so much fun, ive never felt as connected to an online community as during the purgatory bus trip (even tho i fell asleep lmaooo)
to end this on a high note <3 i want to stay friends with you guys, and i fully believe everything can bounce back if we work on it, if we come out of this with repair and community in mind. love you all, take breaks and its ok if this makes you emotional or upset, its something that we've put a lot of investment into << just dont let it lead you to hurt anyone

Guys the MCYT fandom is top tier right now.
Hear me out:
Even when content creation peaked from the DSMP there was so much twitter discourse and people saying x person was homophobic or racist and yada yada yada. Not to mention the whole boundaries concept.
I could talk about that part for hours but in light of not boring you all I will not be stepping into the trenches today. Anyway.
Not only are people realizing that we're just a bit too into the cubitos (and that's okay, and there are some parts of fandom that don't need to be brought up all the time AND THAT IS OKAY TOO) but that we don't have to ask permission for every little thing. Essentially, the mcyt fandom is getting older. We're learning how to decide things for ourselves and I think that's amazing.
Not to mention the content creators are interacting with the parts of the fandom that they choose to want to interact with. They're interacting with the content of all these insanely talented people and loving it and in turn making more amazing content and it just keeps going. I think that's awesome.
Thirdly (I'm not on twitter so take that with a grain of salt) People aren't automatically associating Minecraft fandom with the green man. It's not DSMP anymore, it's Minecraft and life series and Qsmp and there are all of these barriers being taken down between communities because we're all interacting with each other. QSMP/Lifeseries fans are way more common that DSMP/Life series were which is just great.
All this to say everything is great. I love the fandom right now. Everyone is talented.

yes!!! i love the little discussion/analysis you have going on! it always annoys me when people brush off tubbo saying stuff like ‘cooking is like create’ as him being weird or needing to touch grass. it’s not really about his minecraft obsession (ok it is a little) it’s about how his brain works and it’s a really interesting idea if you stop and think about it. people are too quick to dismiss his crazier statements sometimes but a lot of the time he’s totally right if you can look at it from a different perspective or understand that sometimes his wording is odd but the concept is solid.
(also lmao at pulling up your blog to see the last reblog being about asks. i've been seeing more anons/asks on this side of tumblr recently and i think it's neat!)
I think that a lot of the brushing off comes from the tubo moment/bee boy mentality. The fact that people see him as some quirky 3 year old and treat him as such leads so many people to brush him off, including himself. I think this is perpetuated by a few people, including his friends, who don’t see him as a ND adult and instead see him as some quirky teenager who’s too chronically online and privileged. (The topic of him being privileged is another rant for another time but people saying that to him makes me cringe a bit).
I think that when he first made the create/cooking comment, it was a genuine realization that he made about his comprehension of the subject. Afterwards, he repeated it because of how outlandish it sounds and how chat reacts to him saying it. But I think he has a few things that he does or says that he means genuinely because it makes sense in his mind and he doesn’t think about how it sounds to others. This leads to controversies of course, but i digress. I think that people don’t take him seriously for and he gets self conscious about it and doubts his own comment or understanding. Part of this may be because his friends poke fun at some of his ND behaviors in a joking way and don’t realize how serious he is about it.
The one example I can recall is the drunk MCC that Tubbo did with Tom, Jack, and Becky. Tubbo talked about how his dad did his dishes because the feeling of wet dishes/leftover food made him extremely uncomfortable. Of course, this sounds lazy and entitled to a lot of people and he was made fun of for it, but in a ND context *cough*autism*cough* it makes sense. His aversion to car seatbelts is the same thing. He has a lot of sensory issues and speaks about it often enough, he spoke about it a lot when making his og merch an how he wanted it to not “feel bad” and have good fabric because some fabrics bother him.
He never takes himself seriously because other people don’t and don’t allow him to. His brain works in very relative things (I know how i understand create mod and i can apply that to how i understand cooking) and if people allowed him to actually work out the true intention behind it, then more people would realize exactly how interesting his mind is. I fucking love psychoanalyzing him because of it.
Also, I’m so happy that people are talking about this stuff because its so interesting to me. I could talk about what II think of him on any topic for hours, there is literally so much to unpack about him. I think there’s an aversion to talking about creators themselves because they’re real people, which I get, but i think having open discussions and critical analysis of people keeps them human and isn’t a bad thing. So long as its not blatant hatred, talking about mentality, likes an dislikes, and behavior of creators is valid and needed in a space so people don’t become untouchable gods that are adverse to problems.

So sorry for the spam asks- but my god.
I’ve been reading through some of your posts and reboots and gaiahaiab
Just the world of Wuthering waves- I’m a musician and the way they constantly reiterate sound and music and history and memory- the way that one post that was circulating for a while about art decorating space and music decorating time-
But also in the way I’m reminded of how people speak of minecraft??? The way we are watching a world both in recover and at war- the way emotions and sounds left such strong impressions in time that it’s created physical scars and cancerous tumors that eat away at the world. But life still goes on anyways.
This game is just so well designed :’)
Sorry for the ramble again^^^
Omg you're a musician??? What do you do specifically? Like what instrument(s) do you play? Do you also compose? (I don't know too much about music other than going to the theatre with my mom every once in a while I hope these questions are alright lol)
Also dw about spam asking it's how I spend the time in class when the teacher becomes too boring lmao
Omg I totally forgot about that post???? The concept of art decorating space and music decorating sound is so romantic omg...
Oh my please keep on rambling I love reading this
No fr the way this world gives such importance to sound and music and the reverberations (no pun intended... well maybe a bit) and effects they have on everything around it and how deep it's rooted in the world and the people and aaaaaaah

I absolutely love your builds, they're some of the most beautiful uses of creative mode/different block states I've ever seen. ❤️ Would you be willing to talk a bit about the process of creating these builds? Do you have anyone you follow (here or elsewhere) for inspiration/ideas?
Thank you so much! First thing to do is always to find an inspiration. I have an inspo board with over 1000+ concepts for minecraft projects on my Pinterest. It is public so everyone can check it out if you're out of ideas (it's all linked in bio). I do also take inspiration from my trips since I take a lot of pics while travelling. Then I tend to start with the main structure and then add the foreground, background and other things to make it shine in the best way. Also, I've recently started to play with the render distance and glass block walls to achieve some nostalgic and really foggy scenic frames. As for some great builders, you can find most of them on Twitter/X in my following list (linked in bio), I do sometimes repost builds I really like too!

@stick-arms suggested I list five things that make me happy, so here I go! If you would like to do the same, consider this your sign to!
For funsies, I will not include coffee, tea, colorful things, sea creatures, or beatrix on this post because those are givens and I go on and on and on about how much I love those all the time.
LET'S BOOM-DE-YADDA THIS THING I LIKE @mercurialmalcontent! They make me incredibly happy. Their fiction makes me happy, their thoughts on books and videogames make me happy, their face makes me happy, the way they think makes me happy. The things they like about me are things I wouldn't realize about myself in a billion years, it's always a delight to see what they'll think next. Also if you've read something of mine and really liked it, it's very likely that it's because they edited it; they are *so* good at thinking up things that make a story go from mostly decent to FREAKIN' EPIC.
I LIKE WHEN VIDEOGAMES LET YOU MAKE REALLY AMAZING CHARACTERS. One of my favorite things about baldur's gate 3 is that there's so much you can do with with your character creatively--I have been devouring all sorts of wonderful stories and comics and designs and concepts. FFXIV has some amazing warrior of lights too--the sheer amount of lore and history and headcanons floating around are just amazing.
I LIKE WHEN VIDEO GAMES HAVE REALLY COOL MONSTERS. These are the creatures that instantly make me go, "IT'S MY BABIES, MY BABIES ARE HERE." Often these are monsters that I want nothing more than to adopt. The Endermen from Minecraft have stolen my heart and are likely taking turns carrying it around like a grass block. In FFXIV there is an entire family of mandragora plant monsters with their own pasts and hilariously dramatic stories. Secret World Legends has humanoid Familiars that toddle around a school making wheezy screechy sounds and I love them. Baldur's gate 3 has these Silent Hill-esque nurses that I want to put somewhere safe and care for. Same goes for the Noonwraiths and the Spoon Wight from Witcher 3.
I REALLY LIKE HORROR STORIES SET IN CREEPY HOUSES. Does the house have a curse? Is something in the attic? Is something in the basement? Is it full of ghosts? Is it full of memories? Does the house exist in different universes? Is it stuck forever in time because all the clocks stopped when That Bad Day Happened? Is the house conscious and aware of the people inside it? Does it magically grow hallways and stairways and new rooms until the people inside are hopelessly lost? GIMMIE.
I LIKE FOOD IN JARS. Yeeeah it's kinda silly, but I do. Storing dry beans or lentils or pasta in them and tucking them safe in the cupboard like I'm a little squirrel. Making quick pickles where everything looks like a cute edible snowglobe. Storing freshly washed fruit in jars. (Really, soak in water and white vinegar for a bit, pat them dry, and stick'em in a jar, your strawberries and stuff will last longer!)

What is your favorite video game? (Or other type of game?)
(Apologies if this is one you've already answered)
Ok, so this is one I can never answer with just one definitive game, so I'll give you the list in no particular order!
Celeste: I mean, what can I say? It tells a deeply relatable story about overcoming your own mental mountain, and the absolute battle that can be on the way. The ups, the downs, the even further downs... then that stubborn climb back up. Plus, it's got really tight and well put together platforming mechanics, really good level design and art direction, and one of my favorite video game soundtracks ever.
Night in the Woods: This is the game that actually helped me get through a really, really bad depressive rut a few years back. You're put into the shoes of someone who struggles with a lot of aspects of life, and forced not only to confront yourself, but explore other peoples struggles at the same time, and the concept of growing up when you never really had the chance to be a kid. It fundamentally changed my perception on death. I'll never forget the line "When I die, I want it to hurt"
SLARPG: 4 gay ass furries go on an adventure, kiss, and learn deeply important lessons about themselves. It was kinda destined to be a game I loved. It's got a beautiful art style, a soundtrack I've listened to more times than I can count, and just a really lovable cast of characters. Plus, I'm real partial to notably sapphic furry women (and traditional JRPGs)
Terraria: I feel like being one of the only games I've sank over 1000 hours into makes this a pretty notable pick among my favs. Solid mechanics, one of my favorite games for mobility progression and tech, a good host of real fun boss fights, pretty much everything you could ask for! I do think there are times when the game just steps it the hell up and progression slows down a good bit (notably after plantera), but it's a seriously fun game to come back to and play every once in a while!
Undertale Yellow: Oh my GOSH, this game is too good for its own dang good!!! It's a fanmade prequel game to Undertale that tells the lovingly crafted stories of an all new cast of characters (bar like- two beasts who overlap), expands and explores Undertale's worldbuilding, has a REALLY GOOD soundtrack that's been stuck in my head for weeks, and just... more of what gave Undertale its magic. Having seen all three endings (and the neutral one being the most compelling somehow??), it's just amazing what the team behind the game managed to pull off. It's a passion project on a scale I've never really seen before.
Some honorable mentions: Beat Saber, Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker, Armored Core 6, Ghost Giant, Enter the Gungeon, and Minecraft
...Okay, enough rambling from me! I hope that gives you a good look at what I like to play!

I saw your reblog+tags and I'm curious: how does one play Minecraft with a Jewish twist? :0
Basically, I'm trying to play in a way that corresponds to Halakha (Jewish law), which for now mainly involves trying to simulate Shekhita (Kosher slaughter). I did a lot of research on the requirements for the type of blade (called Khalaf or Sakin Hashekhita depending on who you ask) as well as how it must be used and concluded that only a diamond or netherite sword with sharpness V was suitable for slaughtering a cow (as they deal 10 and 11 damage respectively and a cow has 10 health and it Must be a one hit kill to be kosher, additionally it cannot be a critical hit as that might count as excessive force which is forbidden).
There is so much fun to be had around Kashrut (the dietary laws) in Minecraft. Did you know you're not allowed to eat fruit from a tree until it is three years old? Thus, I can only eat apples from oaks that have existed for 36 lunar cycles (3*12 months).
I've tried playing with "must keep Shabbat" but honestly it's very annoying to once every 7th ingame day just not be able to do basically anything. Pretty much everything that can be done in Minecraft is prohibited on Shabbat, including Mining and Crafting. You can maybe go explore, but you can't take anything with you or pick up anything, or make plans for what to do after Shabbat with what you find, and you can only go by foot, which I think means you're not breaking the prohibition travel, but I'm not sure, I need to look into it. It's possible that enchanting would be allowed if you reaaally stretch the concept and try to define it as studying, which is encouraged on Shabbat. Anyway I'm currently ignoring the Shabbat part because it's annoying to keep track and there's nothing you can really do. (Not to mention if you want to properly observe Shabbat you do so with meals which in Minecraft means you need to fast all week to be hungry enough to eat several meals.)
Once I get a bit more set up I really hope to create some redstone thing at spawn that will count the days for me so I can incorporate holidays. Maybe. It would be fun to build a Sukka (hut) for Sukkot (holiday when you build and live in a hut for a week) in Minecraft, but I might end up just going by the real world calendar to make sure I have time to really celebrate ingame (especially since lunar cycles are 8 days in Minecraft which means I'll have barely any time between holidays, Sukkot alone would take up a whole month).
It's basically a fun roleplay twist and as a bonus I get to research and learn about different Mitzvot (commandments) and Minhagim (traditions) before I'm able to meet a rabbi and incorporate them into my own real life. I love learning about Halakha and Judaism and I love any excuse to ask all the silly questions about it. Like earlier today a friend and I were arguing about whether a gun that shoots blades could be used for kosher slaughter! Judaism is so great and appealing to my autism like it has probably the world's largest collection of commentary upon commentary about how to interpret the rules and what does it all mean and I could spend the rest of my life learning about it and while there are disagreements there's bound to be some answer to any question I have about an ambiguity of a rule and oh my autistic little heart.
But there's some stuff I don't feel comfortable doing yet, even in game, because they feel too important and exclusive to real Jews, such as Tzitzit (knotted strings that are attached to certain articles of clothing) on my Minecraft skin, though I drew on a kipa (traditionally a round flat little hat worn by men) because it is only a Minhag (tradition) and not a Mitzva (commandment) and I wear one in real life. I've been considering making a Mezuza (little container put on doorposts containing an important prayer and marked with the letter ש, it is a Minhag to kiss it when you pass it) by writing the Shema (the aforementioned prayer) in a book and putting the book in a barrel next to the door and then putting a button on the barrel and pressing it to kiss it and open the door, but it might also fall into this category and might have to wait until I'm further in my conversion.
Anyway thanks for listening to me infodump about Judaism, it will happen again. Also there are 613 Mitzvot in the Torah and countless more in rabbinical texts, just so you don't think I'm even scratching the surface here. This is a brief summary of scratching the surface. In Minecraft.

Self introduction about me
(Might be updated periodically)
Birthday: 11 July (Cancer)
Blood type: O
Height: 154 cm (I'm female in real life)
Nationality: Indonesian
Languages: Indonesian, English, and a bit of German (I’ve learned German for 3 years back then but I forgot it all since I dropped out from German literature major)
MBTI/personality type: INTJ (with BPD) (all I can say is my personality is exactly the same as Itoshi Rin from Blue Lock since Rin is INTJ with BPD too)
Favorite color: sky blue
Favorite element type: ice
Favorite aesthetic: snow, ice, or winter themed aesthetics
Favorite foods: mainly pasta (except bolognese pasta), salmon (especially salmon sashimi), beef brain, onions (including garlics and shallots), vanilla or matcha flavored desserts, gelato
Least favorite foods: mushy rice, mushy breads, durians (I hate durians so much), tomato sauce (or just sour tasted sauces in general), and other sour tasted foods (except sweets, but I can't eat too much sour foods due to my acid reflux problems)
Favorite games: real-time strategy (RTS), turn-based strategy, Minecraft-like creative building sandbox games (including Minecraft, Core Keeper, Necesse, etc), Project Moon games/Lobotomy Corporation (making my OCs work on abnormalities and watching them suffer is so satisfying), OMORI (I love the story), and other some horror RPG maker games. I dislike gacha games, but my favorite gacha game is Arknights (I love the strategic gameplay, the concepts, and the worldbuilding)
Favorite series: Blue Lock (current obsession), Tokyo Aliens, Initial D, Aldnoah Zero, Naruto (childhood anime), etc
Favorite songs: eurobeat, italo disco, Blue Lock OST (banger)
Hobbies: OC stuff, worldbuilding, cosplaying, playing boardgames
Favorite characters to cosplay: Hielo (my own OC), Itoshi Rin from Blue Lock (because Rin is INTJ with BPD just exactly like me, and I cope with my BPD by cosplaying as Rin)
Fetish: stoic male characters whump (not in sexual way at all, seeing fictional stoic male characters in pain just feels so good)
Favorite tank: KV-2 (it was my favorite in World of Tanks because of the huge damage despite its slowness)
(I don’t think I can put this damn long introduction on the pinned post)

Finally got a chance to watch the FULL Minecraft Live and WOW I'm impressed. I'm really happy they're taking an opportunity to work on previous concepts in the game and developing them into new things for players to do. The trial chambers look SICK and I love all of the new copper variants
The Breeze looks SO COOL that mob was like made for me <- he is obsessed with wind-based things. And the fact that it manipulates the environment during combat is just. OUGH it's so good that's one of my fave mechanics an enemy can have
A bit sad crab didn't win BUT I love the armadillo too and I think it brings some much needed life to those savannahs
also the animation with the sniffer and the camel was adorable
so yeah! Good live! I'm excited to see what else this update has in store

HI! I'm Wyrm!!!
they/she/he - aroace - 20
I like to make loooong posts about things and I also reblog a lot of stuff lol. I love writing but also rarely do art. I consider myself a little bit of a theorist but also sometimes my ideas are wild.
Talking Tag = # wyrms can talk
my Ao3... I'm working on things all of the time i hope to start posting more,, (Please read Void Crew its my passion project basically but its on hiatus rn..)
My unhinged fankids who i need to do more with,,
My new years resolution (as of rn) is to make more fanfiction. I genuinely have so many ideas and i need to get into the habit of just writing stuff :(
I wanna also make... just craaazy OCs... like do a whole thing with them and stuff... That's something I work on sometimes maybe I'll eventually post them.
Main interests that I talk about a lot and frequently:
Sonic the Hedgehog! He is my top tag on here and idk if he'll ever be over taken. I am another annoying Sonadow enjoyer but I also like a lot of other ships too :)
Minecraft but also just Herobrine... I'm very normal about him
Five Nights at Freddy's - I'm in the minority but i love the Sci-fi elements introduced in the Novel trilogy... FuhNaff my beloved
Undertale & Deltarune (UTDR) are always rotating in my brain. I am a "Gaster is everywhere" defender.
Doki Doki Literature Club altered my brain chemistry forever
Hollow Knight is phenomenal
The Bendy Franchise is very important to me and I hold it dear to me
Gravity Falls is living in my head forever and ever now. I love everything about the show it caters to me so perfectly,,

The Amazing Digital Circus!!! I'm so invested and i can't wait to see where it goes next!! I literally love all of the cast but Caine might have to catch these hands if he pulls anything again iykyk
Lots of Indie Horror series. I'll list some of them here: The Walten Files, Generation Loss, Catastrophe Crow/Crow 64, KinitoPET, The Mandela Catalogue, Cooking Companions
I have a general interest in lots of like... cosmic horror themes and horror with interesting or unique ideas, for example SCPs and the like.

a lot of people are tagging the "so what did tim burton do" post as "nothing" and like it's funny i get it but it does feel a bit, i guess, sticking your head in the sand. i've no love for the guy and selick was certainly more present in its final form (even elfman was too, arguably) but he did very much write the original poem and character concepts. sometimes a complete tool had a hand in something you love. i super don't care about him getting his credit but it starts to feel a bit like the "x made minecraft" shit when you're too hard in denial/revisionism about something like that yknow.
