Social media crossway
Gotham, and by consequence its local vigilantes were curious after the reveal that middle of nowhere Amity Park contained real ghosts. Real, dangerous ghosts. The reveal that Paris has an emotional terrorist attacks almost every day by some mythical guy whom no one has heard before didn't help either.
Batman and the Justice League tried to go to both to find more info and to help if possible. Meanwhile, Tim (can be other bat boy/girl of your preference) was looking into the places. The sources of info? The constant posts of Twitter from Danny Fenton, son of two ghost hunters and Marienette Dupain-Cheng, the most sought after fashion designer in Paris.
Or maybe, the JL and pretty much of the world didn't know that the threats in Amity Park and Paris were real until there were real, live recording. Social media and news exploded 😁 would be fun if their respective heroes got their identity exposed on news and the whole batfam/justice league tried to stop Batman from reaching for that adoption papers 😂

Do you ever feel like Tumblr is hard to be on? There are lots of conversations going on which everyone can see and if you’re not a participant it can be isolating. I love the X Files and I love being in a community, but I don’t like feeling like I’m failing at something I love because I’m not funny enough or clever enough or a good writer. I’m just having a moment. As someone who’s been here a while, have you (or any of your followers) ever felt like this?
All the time! And paradoxically I feel very included and welcomed. Tumblr, social media, is full of chatter and cliques and fun stuff and not so fun stuff. It can be dominated by loud voices who push their agenda and make you feel bad for not agreeing or taking part. Conversely, there are kind and gentle folk who give you warm hugs with their content.
I don't have the brain to do the meta. Others excel in that area but if I feel strongly about something, I will have a crack at articulating my thoughts. Some people are good at witty tags, others are brilliant artists and talented giffers, sone write awesome fic, and others still seem to be good at all of the above! I'm really only here for the fic, art and photos. I enjoy sharing my stories when I write them, but it can also be a challenging experience for the ego. Notes, reblogs and comments are validation!
There are clearly people here who have very strong relationships, who chat offline, who have met each other irl, are true friends, and sometimes that makes me feel like an outsider, because realistically I'm never going to meet other fans due to my location.
I'll open this to others to discuss, but I hope that people don't feel genuinely unwelcome here. It should be a space where we chat, share, engage, and brood over our heroes, in whatever format we can.
