Yarrow tried to instill good ideals and high expectations in his daughter. Still though, Val has a lot of love for a lot of toons <:)
Even toons that Yarrow can't stand.

Right. Apparently I'm supposed to just sit here with the fact that when Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Harrison went back to the studio to record unfinished Lennon's demo post-mortem for the Beatles Anthology, they had to pretend that John just went out for tea or on vacation and left them to finish the recording session cause they kept crying in the studio.

*Paul & John's first date
I commissioned a piece by @macca-is-art for my AU 'You Gave Me the Word'.
The beauty of the scene she created is breathtaking! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

For all the multitrack machinations, it’s Lennon’s open longing that carries “Now and Then.” He sings, “If I make it through, it’s all because of you” to a partner, friend or lover who’s gone away, perhaps forever. “Now and then I want you to be there for me/Always to return to me.” [...] In “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love,” Lennon sang about connection. But “Now and Then” copes with separation, one that has now been made final by mortality. The song can’t compare to the music the four Beatles made together in the 1960s. All it can do is remind listeners of a synergy, musical and personal, that’s now lost forever.

A qutoe from Art in The Dallas Morning News article about his autobiography: "Before there was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, there was Simon and Garfunkel — an extraordinary, a singular love affair. There is no gay component in the two of us that I am aware of, but the way these two lives wrapped around each other is poetically stunning. ... It worked so well that the whole world pulled up chairs to watch and listen."
This 100% sounds like something macca would say
"there is no gay component in the two of us that I am aware of" YELLINGGGG YELLING. NORMAL THINGS TO SAY

Would it be okay if I asked where the grimace having 4 arms idea comes from? Just curious. Also, love your art like always!
Back in 1971 when Grimace was introduced, he was the Evil Grimace and had 4 arms! (I assume in order to steal the most milkshakes). This only lasted a year and in 1972 he lost his extra arms during his rehabilitation. So sad.

Am I the only one who GENUINELY loves Paul’s old man singing voice? Like, I don’t know. Maybe it’s not as strong and doesn’t hold exactly as well as it used to, but it is SO GOOD to convey a more vulnerable state of mind, to hear what the core of a human emotion sounds like. Like, I obviously love Paul’s voice ALWAYS, but back in the day it sounded like an “aesthetically” pleasing voice and wasn’t often moved by it (I was more moved by his lyrics, piano, guitar and bass playing). And now I just connect to his voice instinctively.
Frankly, I don’t care that on some days he doesn’t get to certain high notes, or that his voice breaks. Actually, THAT’S THE POINT. I don’t want a vocalist to be flawless. I want a vocalist to express something.
