HOLD UP, the Bahati fire was 10 years ago. The current year is 2019, so the fire was in 2009

Somebody took a picture of the fire with a smartphone that had a wide screen-to-body ratio and uploaded it to something like Instagram in 2009???

No wait, Instagram came out in 2010, so maybe it was on Facebook, which was launched in 2004. (Or maybe the photographer just uploaded the photo at a much later date as a throwback or something lol)

What I’m more concerned about is the smartphone used by the photographer:

Smartphones already existed in 2009, but not like this. The screen-to-body ratio were much lower then, with the bottom part of the phone being wider and having more space for buttons (there may be exceptions, but the high ratio was definitely not that common before). Phones also tended to be short and fat, not tall and slim.

Moreover, the camera notch design came out in 2017. The HDR feature came out in 2010. (Both features were introduced by Apple)

Was the fire actually 10 years ago? (Or did the animators just didn’t pay that much attention to the smartphone’s detail?)
