It pisses me off how people are acting like Lyra is Grayson's "meat"💀. Like i just saw someone's comment saying "she was just a love interest, she just thirst over Grayson..." and let's bffr now. Jameson is Avery's love interest right? But i've never ever heard anyone calling him that, but Lyra is a female character that finds a boy attractive (i mean like come on it's Grayson Hawthorne) so OF COURSE "she is just a love interest"🤦🏻‍���️. Also i think y'all forgot that the girl is literally traumatized and the only thing she wants is to know the truth about her father and his death. Like did we forget that she hated Grayson and the Hawthornes in TBH when she called him on the phone?

okay i know i literally just made a post about how badass lyra is…. but can we just talk about how she’s so much more than that?

this girl is so empathetic. she’s so loving. she’s so intuitive in all the right ways.

she is doing everything she can to get some justice for her dead father who 1, was absent and didn’t even know how to pronounce her name, and 2, literally shot himself in front of her. he took away the girl she once was and still lyra feels empathy for him because of the circumstances of his suicide.

she doesn’t owe him anything just because he is her father. so far, we know that lyra’s dad has done NOTHING for lyra. and yet she’s still doing all she can to help him because that’s who she is.

lyra is an example of how grief and trauma can change a person. she’s still the kind and loving girl she once was, but grief can harden you. lyra’s belief that she’s not this sweet girl that she once was completely contradicts her mothers view of her, and also everybody else’s who knows her. her being this stubborn, petty girl that we see in the grandest game doesn’t make her any less empathetic on the inside. she’s not just the girl who puts catcallers and brooding suit wearers in their places, she’s the girl who loves her mom, her family, the house on her dads land, and dark chocolate, and i’ll forever love her for that. 💗💗
