unpopular(?) opinion but i hate how sm stylists always try to make jongin stand out from the rest of the other members. it’s like “all the boys have black hair… but wait let’s dye jongin’s hair MAGENTA.” i mean at least baek has white/blue hair & we don’t know if the others are comfortable dyeing their hair, but still….

this is partly, i think, because jongin has a lot of fans and a lot of general public appeal. usually, the member with dyed hair would be the one to stand out in the comeback, but with jongin, he’s always been styled differently for a while. i get what you’re talking about. i wish we’d get more exciting hairstyles as well, especially for members like jongdae or sehun, but i think that at this point it is partly their personal decision as well. the last time kyungsoo dyed his hair was for. uh. well, kokobop. funnily enough, he did dye his hair for bad prosecutor last year. but that said, he personally prefers his hair to be black. junmyeon i understand for this comeback, considering he is doing mozart! and they do use his real hair in the second act (or some part of the show); while they’re definitely going for a different approach in styling and costumes, i don’t think they’d take well to him suddenly going blond (god, i miss his strawberry blond tempo hair so much, his best look ever). it’s just in the nature of jongin’s position of the group to stand out. that said, yeah. i wish they’d do something a little more exciting with the other members as well. sehun, especially. we know he can pull off about anything. i would have loved to see jongdae with blond hair again. maybe give chanyeol or kyungsoo a perm. i don’t know. but i think mostly they prefer to keep their hair natural.

Not so much in terms of kpop but I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and my dad was always flirting between brandy Tupac biggie jay z green day radiohead and it was always so random so I’m happy to say now I’ve tried to diversify and match his energy (those were pretty bad examples cause he has a lot more music that seems in no way related but I’m just very tired lmaoooooo)

I think it’s important to see how music has evolved and even get pleasant surprises when you find the sample of a newer song or the instrumental that was used in a vine :)

Yes I love seeing how music has evolved over time. It's so fascinating and hearing older lyrics or sampled sounds in songs is so cool. One I can think of is like with Lana's Song Jimmy the last part of A&W it goes " jimmy jimmy coco puff Jimmy jimmy ride." A psychiatrist that analyzed the song said it sounded like she just gave up and started playing into the narrative of the beginning of the song and that called me out so much. Being told I was "fun" a few days ago cut like a knife. Anyway I had to listen to the song to get the lyrics and I was reminded of that. Then you listen to Kokobop by exo and it goes "shimmy shimmy Kokobop" then you go to Country Grammar by Nelly and it goes " Shimmy, shimmy cocoa, what? Listen to it pound" and it all comes from a song from the 50s. So like it's so cool how the same base lyric is so different within different generations, genres and vibes. And I might be biased but Lana's version is my favorite. Like I love exo but like Lana's is just the vibe. But having a wide musical taste range is really fun when you can catch those little things.

Great choices all around on Baekhyun songs- I hadn't heard Is It Me but I added it to my morning playlist! My favorites tend to be his poppy ones- Betcha, Privacy, Amusement Park, Take You Home... although Drown and Cry for Love are definitely up there for me also!

And re: looks lotto and kokobop are also definitely top tier for me. I also really adore the fun styling for cbx. and I have a soft spot for the cozy sweater for life looks. I guess everything like 2016-17 era haha

If you go with the urban dictionary definition of cream soda, creamy breath gives a more sexual vibe, which I guess fits these photos. But truthfully, I think the music video will have some NCT Dream Candy styling and look (which I didn't like at all), which makes these concept photos confusing. Innocent and clean music video but dirty lyrics?? I don't know, Korean standards seem to suggest showing sexuality is bad and dirty, so could they pull this dark concept off?
