On the occasions Kazuha and the rest of the Crux pays a visit to Liyue, you've always reminded yourself to make the most of your time together. Moments with him are always fleeting, slipping between your fingers before you ever get to properly enjoy them.

Perhaps you're no different from the rest of his acquaintances. Kazuha was, after all, quite the people-magnet. Whether it's the way the words that roll off his tongue were stories of their own or the fact that he always seems to treat everybody with a kindness that was too forgiving to be true, you couldn't deny you were a part of the crowd that was drawn to him.

Something in your heart, though, had always convinced itself that you were a special case. That the familiar butterflies in your stomach whenever you two interacted was a feeling unique to you and you alone.

Maybe, just maybe, he'd feel the same way too.

However, crushing with such a well-liked person had it's drawbacks. For him, returning to Liyue doesn't mean just catching up with you. It means greeting and conversing with every single person who approaches him, who offers him out to a meal, or for a round of drinks.

Compared to those requests, asking for a simple date with the samurai seems almost insignificant.

Until, finally, you hit the jackpot. Kazuha even approaches you, asking if you'd like to go around the Liyuan marketplace tonight with him...

... and the traveler?

But, never mind that last detail! What's important is that you and Kazuha (and another person) are spending some time together.

And so you do. The markets are bustling that night as the true allure of the city really shines through. The evening is filled with mirth, even if the most you and Kazuha interact with is a simple brush of fingers or a gaze that lingers for too long. The chemistry was undeniable.

Well, that's what you'd like to think. However, competing with the Traveler of all people for someone's attention is like yearning for something you know isn't possible.

Maybe it was a bit selfish of you to want to outshine the hero of nations, but it wasn't hard to imagine.

In your most daring fantasies, Kazuha would have chosen your petals among the field of dazzling flora. He wouldn't have attention to spare to anybody else because it would all be focused on you.

But, for tonight, the Traveler’s thoughtful nature and frustratingly well-timed comments take center stage of Kazuha’s mind.

Finally, after all is said and done, the nightly excitement simmers down. Once the Traveler leaves for the evening, Kazuha invites you for a drink.

It was almost a dream come true: sneaking onto the Crux with him and stealthily snatching a bottle of wine from right under the captain’s nose, before finally sitting on the deck together under the moonlight.

(Well, considering Beidou’s intuition, she probably could tell.)

Either way, here you sit with Kazuha. Between tasteful sips of that bitter liquid courage, you steal glances at the samurai— a petty revenge for him stealing your breath. If he notices, he doesn’t show it. Instead, he hums an absentminded tune to himself that you swear gets engraved in your mind

Another moment passes.

You find yourself finishing your wine, the last few drops of the bitter juice slipping down your throat. Kazuha glances over at you and your empty glass before reaching to his side and silently pulling out the wine bottle you two are sharing.

To you, it was a sign. If he could tell what you want and need (even if it’s simply a serving of alcohol), perhaps that means he could tell your feelings as well.

So, in the darkness, as Kazuha begins pouring you another drink, you find yourself clearing your throat. You feel the words hesitate to come out before they eventually do, spilling from your lips messily. They felt awkward, out of place, yet it’s too late to take them back now.

My Top 10 In Order:

1. Itto x Gorou -

The first Genshin Ship in my collection and still number one. Itto is always the first to fall in my ship and THE definition of golden retriever energy. When Gorou begins to notice his attention on him more often, he gets flustered and slowly falls for him back. Precious wholesome warriors, making a great team and greater lovers.

2. Cyno x Tighnari -

2nd place mostly cause of canon team-up and fanart. Also been debating on which one I'd be good at cosplaying if only I had the money (leaning toward Cyno.) Cyno is the first to fall and even while Tighnari cringes at his jokes, we all know he gives that clear "you're lucky I love you" face. I dream of a relationship like theirs.

3. Kaveh x Alhaitam -

Saw it once or twice on my Twitter feed until it turned into nothing but Kavetham and Cynari, and I eventually began to obsess. Alhaitham surprisingly falls first but can't express it properly, like a neurodivergent with alexithymia. Kaveh slowly shifts his thoughts of Alhaitham from "can't believe I put up with that guy"  to "can't believe I'm in love with that guy". I think the autistic introvert -&- depressed extrovert angle may make for some interestingly dramatic angst. Good angst is fun to write. Plus, I'm on the spectrum and I can confirm that reading emotions (even our own) is either hard or near impossible.

4. Ayaka x Lumine -

The traveler I went with in my game is Lumine and I fell for Ayaka hard when we hung out at a festival before Lumine is made an enemy of the shogunate. Clearly, in the game, Ayaka falls in love first; but I also made an OC named Yuna Ren who fell for Ayaka as a child. I know it's cringe but... It's Ayaka-chan! I can admit I'm a bit of a simp for her.

5. Bennett x Razor -

When I found out they were friends, it was cool, but I saw something more building. Razor falls first, though doesn't understand it. Bennett enjoys having a more permanent team member and grows closer every day. They're super cute little twinks.

6. Ningguang x Beidou -

Two boss girls both dom energy however with good communication it works. Also whenever I feel like I ship too many dudes, I look at hot-I mean-pretty girls with chemistry. (Honestly, I'm surprised with how many mlm ships I have.) Ningquang falls first and... I may have an idea for an erotica oneshot. Stay tuned.

7. Xiao x Aether -

Mainly cause of fanart and if Lumine has Ayaka, the twin bro deserves a lil something special too. Xiao falls first. I mean- c'mon. That guy shows up within a second of calling his name like a genie.

8. Albedo x Sucrose -

Such a sweet and gentle intelligent pair. Sucrose falls for Albedo, and I can see Sucrose being his personal art model. If it was possible, I'd most likely cosplay as albedo (since him and HatGuy are the closest things I find to canon enby's in the game and not much a fan of the wanderer except his skill.)

9. Kazuha x Heizou -

Heizou's voicelines about Kazuha are really intresting. He obviously falls first and makes complex plans to hang out with him. They look very cute together.

10. Zingqui x Chongyun -

Sometimes when 2 characters just stand side-to-side in canon and if you see enough fanart, that's enough to ship two characters. Xingqiu falls first for the exorcist. I also think the combos of blue between the two is pretty nice.

hes the type to do google maps speedruns as well, and none of his friends are nearly as good as he is.

character build reviews but hes actually pretty nice about it! sometimes there will be a build that he cannot physically say anything good about and its entertaining, so chat started sending in builds that were purposely bad just to get reactions out of him LMAO.

the most annoying co-op player. oh you wanted to be that character? too bad, now hes going to play them and hes got a better build too, guess you should switch <3

SOOO many unfinished quests yet he complains he has nothing to do. (guilty)

venti loves telling the story of how you two met in genshin co-op. you on the other hand.. well you wish he would stop talking about it every stream you appear in.

lots of streams together! he wont wish for a character without you, he claims youre his good luck charm. (he loses most of the 50/50s.)

will help you do any quest! as long as he wants to, and its one that he knows how to do. so maybe not ANY quest, but hes trying his best.

he may be annoying with strangers in co-op domains, but any character you want to play you can. no questions asked, hell switch immediately.

he does more damage than you but hell still say that you did all the hard work and hes proud of you <3

ITTO - THE FORTNITE STREAMER

“wow you did so much damage just now, you absolutely carried me! thank you, i love you. :)”

the best part about itto being a fortnite streamer is hes not even good at the game.

he tries his best, really he does. but somehow those cracked 12 year olds have got him beat.

has spent an embarrassing amount of money on the game, but you can tell how much he appreciates every item hes acquired.

plugs his creator code CONSTANTLY. hes gotta make that money hes spent back somehow!

whenever he has a really bad loss he just blames it on stream sniping because he can. yeah i basically turned him into ninja, whoops!

you and itto are truly a dynamic duo. youre actually decent at the game and hes entertaining to watch.

chat loves when you play duos games together, and you both do too! (even though hell take all the credit if you win.)

has made many sacrifices of his characters life in you honor, even if you still dont end up winning, you appreciate it.

i couldnt see thoma sticking to one main category, i feel like every stream hes doing something new, and hes somehow pretty good at anything he tries out.

his commentary is really what gets people to stick around for his content, he can make anything sound interesting.

think of him as a steamer like rtgame! hes got really fun sims and hitman series, games you dont think could be made funny, but then he does and its overall a really great time.

hes got so many inside jokes from all the games hes played, youve got to be there for every stream otherwise you miss out heavily.

nobody even knew what he looked like for awhile because he didnt have a facecam, but once he started using one his viewers went up by 100k, no joke.

“where is that from? oh, its an inside joke, you probably wouldnt get it.”

thomas viewers are literally so jealous of you. youve pulled the ultimate man right there.

honestly i dont see you appearing on his steams much other than for the occasional mario party game.

i feel like since you never really appear most of his viewers didnt even know you two were dating until those random streams happen. everytime it does twitter goes wild with “THOMA HAS A S/O?” and half the replies are also freaking out while the other half is like “you didnt know?” its a mess every time.

SHENHE - THE CALL OF DUTY PLAYER

i think call of duty lobbies are the only place on earth that can handle shenhe if shes genuinely angry.

shes a toxic gamer for sure, dont get on her bad side.

shes gotten pretty good at the game too, shes one of those people who buys the new game everytime one comes out instead of just playing the same version.

chongyun will make appearances at times, they played mario party together once and it was hilarious. (for the viewers at least, maybe not chongyun though LMAO)

chongyun won and she 1v1ed him in nuketown right afterwards. (hes never won against shenhe again)

chat doesnt understand how you can handle shenhe half the times, but truthfully she just has her own way of expressing her emotions.

for example, she broke one of your controllers playing once, and she drove her ass to best buy at almost midnight to go get you a new one, along with a note saying nothing but “sorry :(“ in the prettiest handwriting youve ever seen.

sometimes you even make her angry on purpose just because its funny, and you know no matter how much it may look like it, she could never get mad at you.

i know i said shenhe was a cod streamer, but imagine also playing apex with her alright? definitely a loba main, and shes literally just as toxic on here as she is on call of duty.
