Hey, hope you're doing well!

I used to follow some muse fandom spaces and read a lot of fic years ago, but haven't explored the fandom on tumblr. I don't know why now (since muse is not currently releasing anything..), but lately I've been wanting to see what's up in the fandom these days but not sure who to follow who is still active haha. I came across your blog and it's awesome (and saw the post about the difference between the fandom platforms)! Do you mind sharing blog recs of who the other main muse blogs are on here?

She's an aspiring Musical Genius, who was born in Tartosa and raised in Del Sol Valley!

Belle is a cousin of Beatrice Valderama, renowned model and now-girlfriend of a Vanderburg Royal, Lord Seamus II. She loves her dear cousin very much, even though Belle had been compared to Bea a lot of times. She doesn't hold it against her cousin though, and she tries her best to get all (and deserving) spotlight when it comes to her career as a singer.

Unfortunately, trying to live and get other people's attention to her work gets her frustrated that she became a hot-headed person. Still, this hot-headedness has driven her to become an ambitious music lover. No matter how many times she tries getting inspired from her birthplace and in her hometown she knew that there's just one thing that Belle thinks that she lacks: a subject, or a muse, if you will, that she could dedicate her music to.

Ellis is currently close with Kenzie and Alexia. While out in the Wasteland, Ellis learned what Kenzie is turning into yet he has not shared that with anyone but Alexia.

Kenzie [Teen] is the first and only child of Ellis and Mary [Deceased]. Kenzie is currently struggling with Radiation poisoning. Before Radiation poisoning, Kenzie's hair color was black, it is currently White. Kenzie's traits are Paranoid & Ghoul [This is to give her some afflictions that she otherwise wouldn't have symptoms of turning into a Ghoul, Kenzie is not aware that she is turning into a Ghoul]. Another change in Kenzie, her eyes are now completely white!

Creating Buck in CAS and developing his story has been VERY fun to do. This is the first time I've ever gone into details like this with a sim and I'm loving it. hello fellow musers. 2024 is an election year for large chunks of the planet. primaries are well underway for many. we all love to vote here, and i would like to encourage those of you eligible to make sure that you participate in your country's elections this cycle!

recall the number of polls over the last year that we had no business winning because all of us came together and voted as one. even if that song or album wasn't our favorite. even when we didn't win. even when all it got us 2nd or 3rd place. i want you to bring that optimism and determination to the ballot box this year.

this doesn't apply just to presidential elections, but to any local races that may be underway as well. participation in local elections is lower, and your individual vote has greater sway in a smaller voting pool. this is truly where you have the opportunity to make outsized changes to the politics of your immediate area. these changes in local politics can and will result in greater changes further up the chain.

encourage your friends, musers or not, to go vote as well. go online to search for local resources that can ensure that your vote ends up being counted if work, disability, or other circumstances hamper you (your votes matter even more!).

i'm aware that it feels tired saying this in 2024, especially for those of us in the united states who will most likely have to choose between trump and biden once again. but i hope that i can convince you of the importance of not abandoning the most vulnerable of us in allowing greater demagogues to take power and at the very least, the ability to say that you did your part to preserve democracy in a time when the very future of voting is uncertain.

but this can't be the end of it. voting out of fear of the greater evil and pinching your nose every time cannot be what motivates us. fear is exhausting and can be exhausted in a short period of time, but the world order will not change overnight and we cannot expect it to with one election. instead, we have to let ourselves be motivated by love. dare yourself to love your fellow citizens, to want better for them and yourself, to believe that we all deserve better and that "better" is within our grasp.

feed someone. attend a protest. talk about your wages at work. question dichotomies. we maintain what we have, support one another, and grow. even a relatively small number of people can do powerful things when we all work together. i've seen it happen here, and it can happen anywhere, even on the scale of nations.

Personal Save File Lore: Octavia and Thorne Bailey were married too young, but neither one was ever willing to admit it. They were each other's polar opposites and yet always came back to each other through their intense love of music. Ever since they began dating during their junior and senior years respectively, Thorne had been spinning tales of them becoming the music industry's power couple. Of course, Thorne didn't inform her that he would be getting most of the power, but Octavia didn't mind shadowing her husband. Though she was passionate about songwriting and wanted people to love her music, she wasn't keen on the attention her recognition would entail. Besides, her biggest achievement was becoming a mother. Though it took awhile for Octavia and Thorne to start a family, mostly because Thorne kept talking her out of it (how would a child fit into his hectic schedule?), Orange Bailey-Moon was the sweetest song Octavia had ever made.

When Thorne's cheating scandal broke, as well as the audio leak of him admitting his wife was actually the pen behind his songs, Octavia started rightfully taking up more space within their business relationship and their marriage. The public's sympathy and new-found support empowered her and propelled her journey towards her individuality. Instead of shying away from incoming opportunities, especially when it came to working with other artists, she embraced the direction her life had taken. Though she decided to stay in her marriage-much to the chagrin of her fans-Octavia took her maiden name back. She's still thriving in motherhood, but Octavia is conflicted by how apathetic she feels about her marriage taking a backseat. It was supposed to be her and Thorne against the world, but Octavia's starting to think the world isn't the enemy anymore and never was.

The problem with the pwoper phase every muser goes through when they first get into muse and start digging into the history of the band is that it is Very Cringy

and you grow out of the pwoper phase and are embarrassed by it.

And then… what happened to so many of these old accounts is they delete their tumblr account because they want to erase it off of the history of the planet.

Even I did it.

But the beauty of finding that old stuff now is not only uncovering a lot of old muse content that honestly muse probably doesn’t even know exists. (Matt frequently has to check in with Maria @musehistoricalsociety on insta bc he doesn’t remember the history of his own band)

But it’s also just seeing the unbridled enthusiasm and excitement of sharing a new hyperfixation with other people. And back in the day musblr was on fire.

Musblr currently feels like it’s experiencing a resurgence and it makes me so happy but I’m going to say this:

Really really think before you delete your blog.

At least maybe try to archive it before you do so.

And let yourself be cringy it’s honestly it’s okay. You might feel annoyed at your past self now but you will grow and look back on your past self with compassion and even love. Cringe is dead. Embrace your weird little self.

Bio:

Growing up in an eco-friendly farm was one thing. The debauchery and the uncertain circumstances of growing, caring for and selling questionable products was another. Jeb Harris had a very unconventional upbring. Although loved and cared for, he always felt a certain degree of shame when it came to his family matters. "Please don't discuss this," or "please don't give Mr. Lothario a hard time for how much nectar he recently purchased" were frequent requests  before exiting the house. This would affect Jeb to the point where he wore a paper bag over his head - mostly in shame - but also for the purpose of not wanting to be seen or recognized by the rest of the world. Now a fully grown young adult, Jeb has the ability to be on his own and start a new journey. With the love and support of his mothers, Jeb graciously accepts an offer to live in a lavish mansion with several strangers who will hopefully introduce and embrace him to the life he is not familiar with.

With a thick exterior and a heart of gold, Jesse considers himself a self-taught survivor who quickly learned how to fend for himself and rely on the comfort of music to sooth his inner conflicts.
