My thoughts below the cut! Spoilers galore. This is all from my first read through, so we’ll see what changes by the time I finish my second read. I’m still pretty jumbled up about the book (I am physically incapable of opening up goodreads and giving it a rating) and, frankly, I think my notes are going to reflect this! Also, this is thoughts for the WHOLE BOOK, so please don’t open the full post if you’re not done with the WHOLE BOOK.

I’m pasting my notes directly from the doc I took them on while reading , and adding extra post-read commentary when I feel the urge! Also this is your warning that I swear quite a bit in these! For they are candid.

ch1-10:

- i will say i thought the ch 2 epigraph was an inntinnsic clue but now im not so sure bc it’s not that rare it’s just that they kill everyone who has it ??? (commentary from future helena: this is about lilith…right?)

- VIOLETTTTTTTT I LOVE HER she’s so fucking back (CFFH: violets characterization was my favorite thing about this book. i was really scared about xaden leaving because frankly rebecca writes violet best with him, but she held her own so much better than she has in the other two books. i always love her, but she was incredible here.)

- the bits about vi being a good duchess i Knew that was him saying he wanted to marry her (CFFH: this is an example of what i like to call RY’s “gotcha ass foreshadowing”)

- also i have always characterized fen in my head as loving the movement more than xaden i know what’s up

- i am going to commit crimes against humanity your relationship did not just END SJEJEJEJENR R (CFFH: i’ve noticed miss yarros has begun to really lean on chapter cliffhangers, and frankly, it pisses me off. i understand she needs to get her bag with kindle unlimited and all, but it makes for a stressful reading experience imo. however, this one got me. this one got me SO bad i had to take a walk to calm down. i have been looking forward to professor riorson for MONTHS and i was convinced it was crashing and burning before my eyes. maybe this is why i shouldn’t read past 1 am. i know rebecca has given interviews and has said she needs there to be constant tension in their relationship or else there’s no story, and while i know what she means, THIS tension felt so manufactured to me. i also think she could pull off a war story with them just like …together. i believe in her. the story needs tension, but it doesn’t need to be between them like this, imho.)

Scaramouche always thought be would play solo. It’s just always been that way since he was young “You’ll be better by yourself” His mother would say. His opinion suddenly changed when you came into his life. He was in the practice room and suddenly you walked in “Oh, i’m sorry I’ll just go” you said before walking out “Wait who are you?” Scaramouche’s voice barely got your attention you turned back to him “i’m [name] and who might you be ?” you smiled as you introduced yourself “i’m Scaramouche it’s nice to meet you, I guess you must be going now” honestly you wanted to know more about him but you had other things to worry about.

As a recent you got booked for a wedding and you wanted to nail it down and of course you didn’t want to disappoint a couple on their big day. The wedding was in a month so you had time to practice as you were practicing you thought of how happy the people would be dancing to your melody it had already been an hour and that was enough for the day you thought.

When you got home you flopped into your bed and unexpectedly you get a text from the woman who booked you it was about how you would have to play with a pianist and she sent you his info and you looked and it was no other than that guy you saw today. You didn’t even have a second thought about him since you saw him earlier in the day. You look at the info and text him about practicing together and you to figured out a time and the practice room.

“Hi, it’s nice to see you again” Scaramouche says as you walk in “Yea it is” you didn’t want to rude or dry but you just really didn’t have much to say. When you two started playing Scara got really bossy “your messing up so much, Your playing it all wrong” the man got up from his piano bench to come over ‘to show you how to really play’ as he’s playing your violin you start to laugh because of how bad he was. He looks at you while your laughing and smiles, something you thought you’d never see. As the days of laughter and practice went on so did your relationship with Scara.

The day you were dreading finally came up the wedding. everything was going fine Scaramouche was playing piano before the bride went down the aisle and while she was walking you two were supposed to play the duet. Then you saw her and it was your time to play you were playing just like how you rehearsed. It was going fine until you played the wrong cord and Scara tried to match what you were playing but you messed up so hard that it screwed up how the bride walked. after that embarrassing scene the two of you go back to his car because he was the one who took you to the wedding.

“How could you mess up?” Scaramouche said with a stern voice “I didn’t mean to i’m sorry..” you didn’t know what more to say “we basically fucked up the whole wedding [name] you fuck up everything” he basically yelling at you for a mistake “Now how do I fuck up everything it’s your fault!” it was silent for a few minutes “it’s not just the music [name] you messed up how i saw music i’m supposed to be doing this solo” you looked at Scaramouche before you got out of his car “if you wanna be solo you can do this without me” as you walked away you could feel your breath get shaky and eyes teary

Being without Scara was interesting non of your other friends played instruments so you had to go to practice by yourself. as you play your favorites like you always did someone walked in and guess who Scaramouche “shit sorry” you had to process that it was him “Scara wait we need to talk” you put down your violin and walk up to him “[name] i’m sorry for what i said my anger got to the best of me” “i guess you could make it up to me”

Soon kisses turn to bites and Scaramouche ended up on his knees pleasing you “mmh Scara~ just like that hah” the aroma of rosin and sex was something you never imagined “[name] just wanna make you feel good~” Scara sucked and tongue fucked your cunt and you started grinding on his face involuntarily as the coil in your stomach tightened you could almost feel the wave of pleasure wash over you quickly. Scara got up and soon said “we should go back to my place”

Pluvi I am on my KNEES rn I 😭😭😭He has all these little gestures from the places he went before he knew you, little things he had earmarked in his brain that he's held onto bc he figured he would know when the right person came along to share them with. Your initial marriage ceremony had to have been so eclectic because he is packing in every romantic gesture he's learned, every little practice of romance and devotion that he's picked up along the way.

Every occasion draws out some new depth of romantic that he had stowed away, too, that man is an endless font of ways to show how much he adores you, how completely devoted he is to your relationship, your happiness, your shared desire for each other...

He literally lights up visibly when the lore of a new island comes around to courtship, he's either committing it all to memory or he's slinging an arm around you and pulling you in close, staring at the side of your face with that big ol' grin like he's just sat you down to watch his favorite part in a movie.

I am like the sucker of all time for Shanks and his 500 Vow Renewals but the idea that he's endlessly curious for and engaged with how courtship and romance and love and the folklore of those bonds plays out in every new culture they engage with...literally i'm insane about him too, we're on this fainting couch together. I keep thinking I'm gonna find the ceiling on how in love with a guy you can be about him and then there just. isn't one.

A Funny Coincidence

“Miguel, I didn’t understand Shakespeare when he said ‘love was a smoke made of sighs’,” Bruno said to thin air, holding a silver ring. “But when I met you, I started to get it.”

“You make me feel…uh…you make me…” he trailed off, eyes falling to the brand new shoes he had bought yesterday. 

He turned to one of his rats, Roberto, sitting on his bedside table and watching him in fascination. 

“Is there a word for feeling like you’re about to poof into a cloud of mist and be whisked away by a light breeze, but, y’know, in a good way?” Bruno asked, tugging on the collar of the short-sleeved, red button-up he had on only for special occasions. 

The rat just sniffed and started cleaning himself in response. 

Bruno plopped down on the bed, head held low, rolling the ring around in his fingers. 

The idea of marriage popped into his mind a couple of weeks ago. At first, the thought scared him. After all, when would he have ever considered marriage? Marriage was never meant for him. Someone who had an entire horde of rats as their pets and can’t maintain eye contact for more than five seconds isn’t exactly marriage material. It was just a far-off daydream, that was all it was going to be, but then he started to think about it. 

Marrying Miguel…it was so easy to think about. They were practically together all the time, so why not take the next step and make it official? Bruno loved Miguel, he knew that already, he loved how he took pride in his job, how he always kept whatever little trinket Bruno would give him, even his little idiosyncrasies. Like how he had to leave the room whenever Bruno ate ajiaco, how he would purse his lips whenever he was deep in thought, or how he would talk to the rats just like they were family…

So, yeah, he knew he wanted to marry this man. He knew it had to be perfect, with rose petals floating in the air, a beautiful sunset behind them, and a violin playing nearby.

Okay, maybe he didn’t know anyone who could play the violin, but there would be one in his head and that was enough for him.

So, when he saw that ring up for display, practically calling his name, he knew it was meant for Miguel.

But now, that tiny little voice in the back of his head that had been whispering these last couple of weeks had gotten louder, telling him that he was making a big mistake. He tried to ignore it, to focus on the positive, but he couldn’t stop his stomach from tensing with anxiety and his brain from flooding with those thoughts. 

What if something goes wrong? What if he thinks it’s all a big joke? What if I trip and fall and break my nose? What if I get a sudden vision? What if he says no? What if-

I have not been giving this blog that much attention and I'm sorry abt that. I've been busy juggling college with a whole bunch of other stuff, plus, I'm just not as big of an encanto fan as I once was. I don't want to say that I'll never post here again, I might post here every once in a while, write an encanto story here or there, but i'll definitely end up posting less and less. But that's ok! Change is a part of life and I'll still always love encanto, this scraggly old rat man has changed my life in a lot of ways. without him, I don't think I'd be writing and posting my stories as much as I do now.

I've been writing this story on and off for the last two years, losing interest and then regaining interest. I wanted to make sure this was as good as I could make it to be. Am I a perfectionist? Absolutely, thank you for noticing!

What an asshole, I love him. Not only does he go through some Very Nice character development, but he's such a twink looking guy. I love the idea of him absolutely baffled over the fact he has friends. Also you can't blame him for being so mean to Toko when she LIKES it. Yeah he makes the killing game unnecessarily complicated at first for fun, but then a nice dose of Trauma whips him into shape real fast and he becomes a really cool dude :P

Best Babe from the first game? Kyoko Kirigiri

Poor girl got it soooo rough, no one believed her ever except for Makoto. His luck probably saved her tbh. Her design is PEAK omg, it's so pretty. She's a genius and sooo chill and mysterious. Also the fact that she risked her life so many times to save others and gently taught Makoto/the player how to figure things out was so cool of her to do, im love her.

His relationship with Mondo is so sweet, this guy needed so much therapy. I was kind of relieved he was murdered because after losing Mondo, he was just suffering. Killing him was sad but it at least put him out of his misery. Poor guy.

His design is so cool, honestly wish he got to stick around more. Poor dude. He should have run away instead of pursuing Sayaka, rip man. I hate Sayaka tho.

Best Boi from second game? Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu

Not only his design just amazing, but he's such a tsundere. And I LOVE tsunderes. His relationship with Peko is the saddest and sweetest thing ever, definitely my favorite sub plot from game 2. The fact he tried to rescue her too... and he begged and cried that she'd be spared, even told her to let him take the fall. And then after that, he became one of the most loyal men of the game. And one of the most traumatized. Rip Fuyuhiko's eye, sister, and his childhood best friend. I was worried he'd just be suffering like Kiyotaka, but he survived and he deserves so much pats.

Best Babe from the second game? Peko Pekoyama

I actually don't like most of the girls from the second game, they're just kind of meh to me, so Peko is the only one I actually can admit that I like because of her relationship with Fuyuhiko and her amazing design.

I started wearing my jacket like this guy without even realizing it because of how much I liked him when watching play throughs for the first time. His design is pretty nice but his character is so encouraging and hopeful. AND HE'S THE ONLY CHARACTER TO HAVE A FAILED EXECUTION! I literally cheered, Monokuma was so mad. Even though I was sad he died, his character arch and death was just perfect. So well done.

just finished mgs2 and i have nowhere else to take my thoughts so i’ll just dump them hear for my little internet vacuum:

> the AI/simulation plot twist is really interesting but at the same time doesn’t feel like it was resolved in the best way? outside of the patriots being a typical shady organization controlling literally everything, the explanation the AI colonel gives about human mind control feels at least a tiny bit more unique that your typical 1984 premise and excuse…i only have to wonder the aftermath of raiden and rose’s relationship with such a huge rift torn between them through the course of this game (which feels like it goes largely unaddressed considering raiden basically proposes to her after their reunion?) i think his character has a lot of good potential and their connection could have undergone some kind slow burn rebuild to make it more satisfying (it’s not like i didn’t root for them sometimes! tho im aware they are actually quite toxic tho)

well you know me I've loved the polygun quartet since day one (circa february 2023).... this year I wrote fics about some other trigun characters as well, but there's been what, 4 entire fics in Milly's pov???? your honor i LOVE her dearly!!!! but at the same time, vash is still just like me fr fr (derogatory) and I think I understand him even better neow not that I tortured him some more :}

I use Scrivener mostly! find it really handy both for outlining my big fic ideas and for writing oneshots. also I occasionaly use gdocs if i want to go the text by some friend before posting. i don't write by hand cause it just doesn't hit the same spot... also it's much slower and I'll need to transfer all that to typed text anyway so liek. doesn't work for me

Hii! sorry this is late (they're all late LMAO) Watching them is fun!!! I like watching fast and skilled hockey more than the hitting and killing kind.

HATE having hockey opinions about this team in public jkdaskld. it's very... like im giving the chef notes on the microwave meal. we may play well sometimes, we may hang in there, but we collapse BADLY and OFTEN. line blenders are the least of our issues. we have a dire need for clean puck movement on our back end, for instance (when jake walman is out we look BAD!!!! )

and im sitting here going @ myself. what did you expect <3 this is your silly team. the rebuild. we are not good. we sure do work hard but most of the time we are Not good. anyways i have no idea what goes on in Warso's balding head but i guess we'll muddle through it together.

to start: we must remember the man who conceived of this line in the first place is also the same guy who keeps putting Barclay Goodrow on the first line (love and light to him... he does nawt belong there </3).

it's like, sometimes Warso will have the idea that a line needs an Energy Guy, or a Grinder, or whatever the fuck placeholder phrase for 'guy who looks like he works real hard for pucks' you wanna use and of course he values a veteran presence and "grit" over . uhh. not turning the puck over or losing your man, or not getting criss-cross-applesauced in your own zone leading to a grade-a chance against.

We did see it with Ethan Cardwell earlier in the season when he was elevated to a top 6 role after a couple of good games. this was fun because (1) I adore his freak ass and (2) he was being rewarded for actually playing well in his role. The question of if he succeeded is . um. well!!! (to be fair to him.... he's been extremely productive since being sent back down. i think the nhl stint did him a lot of good!!)

but then we'll see - again, no harm meant but - Barclay Goodrow up there, whom i also am fond of, but who has?? 4??? points on the season, and who is rarely part of anything resembling high-danger scoring or elite defense.

Between our grinder types (<- of which we have MANY... the bottom 6 is a bloodbath) I'd honestly like to see Kunin up there given how productive he's been (and beyond that, how many good looks he's had on net!! cursed with good timing -> bad finish). Sheng Peng and his little minion Keegan have talked about Kunin looking much improved from last season on their podcast and speculated that it was a foot speed issue, now fixed since he's fully recovered from his knee injury.

This is all to say. it feels like Warso walks the line between giving people the opportunities they've earned through good play (klim top 6) and running veterans for the sake of Character and Grit and Playing the Right Way (jan rutta our swagless bestie...) and is a pretty classic kinda coach with how he metes out punishments - veterans get a lot of grace, younger players don't.

This was a very very long-winded way of saying I'm sure one of Zetterlund or Smith will make a bad defensive read and get sent to the 4th/3rd line eventually and we should try to enjoy it while it lasts <3

Yandere Hughie uses his pathetic meow meow powers to his advantage. He'll purposefully play up his fear and anxiety to lure the reader in. Reader just wants to help him. He seems so sad. Yandere Hughie clings onto you where ever you go.

Yandere Butcher nearly beats the boy senseless when he does this. However, you are the only thing that holds him back. He doesn't want to fuck up whatever relationship he has with you. People can tell that he is softer around you. A kind of softness people only saw in him when Becca was around.

The two are bickering even more than they did before. They have a lot of trouble sharing. Hughie wants to keep you safe from how Butcher is.... Butcher. Billy wants to keep you safe from Hughie's weakness. He doesn't need his doll getting killed because the kid decided to puss out again. (Billy's words, not mine.)

If yandere Annie got caught in the mix? 😶 She is keeping you safe from both of those idiots. She'll be like a super normal girlfriend who just kills people behind your back. She's open to being in a relationship with both you and Hughie at the same time. Butcher getting near you? Nuh the fuck uh.

Yandere Frenchie and Kimiko work together against all the others. Kimiko had such a hard time learning to trust Frenchie, but not you. Both always team up with you on missions. Frenchie helps to teach both you and Kimiko how to bake. To simply their yandere-ness— Frenchie is the overprotective boyfriend and Kimiko is the possessive girlfriend. Goddesses help whoever lays a hand on you. They either get a bomb up their ass or their neck snapped.

MM I feel would be the only non-yandere in this situation. He's the mediator who does his best to keep you safe.

If yandere Soldier Boy is there? Every yandere in The Boys agrees that you have to be protected from him. He's not shy about demeaning or crudely flirting with you. His stance on your boundaries... non-existent. Sooooooo yandere Soldier Boy is gonna have to work 4x time to get even a crumb of your affection. He could just try to kill everyone—but he suspects you might hate him for that.

+ Bonus: Yandere Homelander

This largely depends on if he knew you as a citizen, or after you became a part of The Boys. Either way, this mommy's boy will do anything for you. He realizes that your group is gonna try to use that against him. So it kind of becomes a back and forth where Homelander kidnaps you and plays house—and then The Boys get you back safely in their arms. Homelander has this genius idea that if he puts a baby in you, you'll belong to him forever. He would hate you having a baby... because it takes away attention from him. So he'd probably just give the baby away or 'accidentally' kill it after it's born. He is one fucked up man with issues that couldn't be solved by the most renowned psychiatrist.

AND BUTCHERRRR. I agree with everything, especially the part where there’s a type of vulnerability that only Becca is accessible to, but instead of her now it’s reader. In a way, I feel like we can already see so much of that from the show, to the point I’d say we even witnessed what he looks like when he’s utterly obsessed with someone?? ((I know one can debate that he’s simply just in love, but mans was causing collateral damage left and right because of one. single. woman.

Anyways, back on topic, but I love how the girls are fighting over reader!! As if those two don’t already have enough to fight about in the first place 😂

I gotta say tho, this part: “He doesn't need his doll getting killed because the kid decided to puss out again.” That is peak characterization! Something Butcher and Hughie would argue about for the life of them.

As for Annie!! Definitely with you on the ‘normal gf on the surface while killing more than she actually should behind the scenes’, but I feel like she’d rationalize it, because we know how empathetic she is and how she feels about senseless violence. She’ll try to come up with a reason to justify her actions and even gaslight herself into believing them to minimize the guilt.

For Frenchie and Kimiko, I LOVE this dynamic. I’d add that because Kimiko is the possessive gf, she’ll even out-yandere Frenchie?? For the reason being she’s a supe and wouldn’t hesitate to decapitate him if it came to that. At the same time tho, Frenchie, like you said, would be overprotective, even putting his life out on the line for reader (cuz have we seen how impulsive this mf can be? 🤦‍♀️). However, he just wouldn’t “win” the competition when it comes to reader if that makes sense?

AND YES MM WOULD NOT BE A YANDERE, BIG AGREE. As strict and assertive as he can be, he’d be respectful of boundaries. Just like how it was described in the show: he has a moral compass like Hughie, but is courageous like Butcher. Simply put, MM is a chill guy.

With soldier boy, YES TO EVERYTHING. But I wanna add that personally I think it’ll be a bit tricky for reader to even realize his obsession with them at the beginning. It’s like, wait- is he sniffing my unwashed socks rn or is he just being Solider Boy?… 😳

when it comes to a certain time and place, reader will catch a glimpse of his not-so-ordinary fixation he has with them ((tho emphasis on time and place, since idk maybe it’s just me but he’s alr a lil freaky in general

and my favorite, HOMELANDER AS A YANDERE WJKWWKWK. I love how plausible all of this is, cuz we already seen his behavior with Stillwell and hints of it with Maeve (not sure about Stormfront. Maybe not so much since they were in their honeymoon phase?)

But yeah, it’s so Homelander to get someone pregnant, only to probably laser the baby into smithereens when the man-child within him feels particularly “unnoticed” one certain day

ohhhhhhhhhmygod okay.. I finished! I am all caught up and I have... FEELINGS! 😭 Mostly, I just want to take a moment and say that I LOVE Theo, and I think he deserves a moment of appreciation. Yes, that's right. This man deserves some recognition for the hard work he put into bettering himself and being there for this family.

I get it.. he fucked up.. I mean, he fucked up BIG time. But he worked on himself and he worked on his relationship... and I just want to point out THIS moment... when Dustin was in the hospital, he'd woken up but wasn't himself and Theo was right there by his side through all of it, making sure everything was taken care of (the best he could) and... I just... this line got me "like every other shitty thing we've been through, we'll figure it out together, okay? always together." 🥹 For me, in that moment, he proved that he is worthy of Dustin, and I may have cried a little.

I know he has his faults, and I don't know what's to come in their future, but I'm rooting for them! 💖

he fucked up A LOT and he has in the recent past which we will definitely be getting into but hes not a bad guy or evil. i think with theo the thing is that he tries to give excuses anytime his actions have consequences and back then he started to see that. especially when dustin was in the hospital. granted his stress wasnt the only stress that dustin was under but it definitely did not help things with his health at all. theo stepping down and not running things because he wanted to prove that he was faithful had an adverse effect. dustins like just control your dick,man and come to work lol. but if theres one thing steady is that no matter what these boys have gone through. no matter where they stray. they always came right back together and thats something theos never had before. sure he had marlee but marlee also had jami when they were married lol. this is the first relationship hes been in that is just FOR HIM. and hes attempted to ruin it countless times i think he just doesnt know his worth . maybe he thinks dustins too good for him. probably still does but theres a reason why dustin stays. and dustin himself does not have a squeaky clean past and i think with how 'broken ' they are.. they see 'why' the other does the things they do. which makes it easier to just kinda fall back in line. they always figure it out together <3 no matter where they are or what theyre doing.

nows a unique situation. theos a lot older. dustins taking on more responsibility with not just the teenagers but the two new babies they chose to have. theos kinda end of life crisis-ing out because i think he realized how big of a dickbag hes been. theyve also gone through a lot in the time jump.

hi lou i was wondering if you had any recommednations as to where to start watching aew... ive only watched a little bit of wwe with some friends so i really have no idea if should start somewhere for Context or just dive right in with wrestling stuff lmao. but all of the pics of aew all out that im seeing are really really horny and it makes me think aew is up my alley. and i trust your opinions implicitly.

All Out 2024 is genuinely the most interested I've been in AEW in a long time because it was really struggling to retain me for the last couple of whiles, so I think my best answer to "where to start watching" is just "now"? like i seriously cannot stress enough how much it seemed like a major shaking off of a lot of funk that's kept me from watching live for a long time; maybe it's literally just because jericho wasn't on the card lmfao. i REALLY hope that they can keep up the momentum and it's not just a fluke, though

I don't consider myself particularly knowledgable or well-read about wrestling, I'm a admittedly a little myopic and maybe just a really horny dilettante, but what I recommend is finding a guy or a girl you like, and getting obsessed with them and looking through their backlog of matches just to see where it takes you, and maybe find other guys to get obsessed with through that. to be as brief as possible, here's just three of my own favorites and some pointers:

Kris Statlander: literally any of her pay-per-view matches after returning at double or nothing 2023. her whole history with Willow Nightingale especially is just amazing television, including their various tag team stints, like this personal favorite match against Mercedes Martinez & Diamante back when Collision. The reason that Kris and Willow clashing in a street fight at All Out was so significant was because these two are the street fight QUEENS, they've done 2-versus-2 street fights against the aforementioned Mercedes and Diamante, Julia Hart and Skye Blue, etc. before, and all of these are worth looking up.

Eddie Kingston: his journey through the Continental Classic tournament of late 2023 and early 2024 culminating in a grand finals match against Bryan Danielson at Revolution 2024 was something really goddamn special. The Stadium Stampede at All In 2023 is also lots of fun, he comes out bloody with a gas can and just looks sooooooo good

Bryan Danielson: he's world champion right now (incredible match against also-incredible previous champion swerve strickland at All In 2024) and obviously has no shortage of amazing matches across his very long history, but my introduction to live AEW was watching him TEAR through banger match after banger match on Dynamite from January to March 2023 (konosuke takeshita! bandido! timothy thatcher! brian cage! rush! literally so many different KINDS of wrestling) in the build-up to a 60-minute iron man match against then-champ, then-much-more-entertaining MJF at Revolution 2023, so check that out

Wait wait wait actually an honorable mention goes to FTR vs Bullet Club Gold 2-out-of-3-Falls, from July 15 2023, also from back when Collision was good. I love those wet freaks in the bang bang gang so much oh my god

Okay okay okay so like the whole thing was just wonderful and considering the last music concert I saw live was when I was like 9, this was a HUGE experience!

So like I went with my dad (cause obviously he is my best choice lol) and I kinda know how he'll be late and all the rest if you say it starts at a certain time. So obviously I told him the concert started at 7:30pm, when in reality the doors opened at 7:30pm.

If there is one thing you should 100% do when going to a concert it is get there early cause we arrived at like 6:45pm and by the time the doors opened we were in the front 1/4 of the line that stretched ALLLLLL the way down the street. And I don't know if this happens at other places, but like I got this cool smiley face stamp to go in but other people got like the wrist band so I don't know what that really meant but it was cool regardless lol.

But anyways, cause we were so early, we got in before it got super packed so I had a choice of where I wanted to be cause the whole place was a mosh pit basically. BUT! There was this little upstairs loft bit that you could watch from the balcony and it had seating!!!

Now tbh I love my dad but I didn't want to go stand in the mosh pit the whole night by myself and knew he was just gonna sit at the back cause he had no idea who Half Alive was but I wanted to be with him.

So I absolutely SCORED when we got two chairs in the balcony bit, right in the middle!! This lady was sitting in a seat with one next to her free and it turned out she was the manager of the band opening the show which was so cool to meet and chat with her and she said she wasn't staying and gave us her seat and the spare one. Bless her TwT.

I got to sit the whole night without my legs getting sore, had THE best viewing spot with no one in front of me AND could get pics and vids without having to worry about the video cause it just balanced on the balcony bit so I could enjoy the show too!

Like yes I know I could have been in the mosh pit, but for me it was so much better to be where I was cause I got to share the moment with my Dad! (who had ear plugs in the whole time from all the screaming fans lol but he thoroughly enjoyed the night even tho he had no idea what to expect)

And now of course the actual performance

OH MY GOSH IT WAS CRAZY! HALF ALIVE IN PERSON IS JUST AN ABSOLUTE AMAZING EXPERIENCE AND I SO WISH I HAD GOTTEN THE VIP TREATMENT LIKE MAN I LOVED IT!!!!

Like you know how sometimes seeing bands live vs their music sounds different cause of like auto tune and stuff like that? WELL THERE WAS NONE OF THAT HERE! IT WAS ALL RAW VOCALS AND JUST MIND BLOWING!!! I AM SOOOOOOO HAPPY I HAVE THE CLIPS AND BITS THAT I DO CAUSE LIKE AHHHHHH I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!

They didn't perform every song obviously but like there were bits and pieces of sings in some bits and like the way they performed each number and getting ready in between was flawless. Like it all flowed seamlessly into the next song and just AHH THEY ARE PROFESSIONALS I ADORE I ADORE I ADORE!!! And I loved that while this was their conditions of a Punk tour, we still got to hear older songs like Still Feel and Creature live too. (I would have died if they didn't perform creature I swear and it was the last song of the night and I just felt so happy hearing my fav song ever live. It was such a special moment)

And then my gosh if you've seen like the clips they've shared of the performances like nah man. They don't hold up to actually being there. The dancers were flippen INSANE!!!! Like just yessssssss! They absolutely slayed and it looked like they were having so much fun! It was awesome!!!!!

Oh and at one stage of the night (cause in perfect aussie fashion) we did our usual chant of Aussie aussie aussie oi oi oi and it was so funny seeing their faces cause they had no idea what was going on lol. I loved it.

Now if you follow half alive you'll also notice in their posts that none of them were wearing any shoes that night and you're probably wondering why. Answer: The theatre just said no with the dancers having any shoes cause the stage was carpeted. Do I understand this? Nope. But it happened lol. So we got socked feet all night.

Now of course I also got merch :3 And this is where that stamp thingy comes into play cause like at the start, being up stairs a guy came and called us and said: Who wants merch and then ushered us all down to get merch lol. I skipped such a long line I felt a lil bad but like: I got here early and I was lucky lol. So now I have a very expensive tshirt, but I love it lol. Did I take a pic of it? NOPE! I forgot lol but I can always share it later <3

I'm pretty sure a whole lot of other stuff also happened but this post is already pretty long lol. Overall you can tell I had an amazing time and I highly recommend to anyone to go see your fav bands live if you can cause it is such a special experience and you won't regret it. Being able to see Half Alive is easily one of my top fav experiences of all time so yes. I had a great time <3

Plutarch

-He's an apprentice woodcarver and blacksmith before he joined the war. He joined the war out compliance to forge weapons for his comrades, although he never really liked forging weapons in the first place. He was never one for violence afterall.

-If you'd compare him with the other's height he'd be on the average side. But he's damn strong from all the hard work in forging so he has a stocky build.

-He's probably the most quiet in Ody's crew. Not because of his nonchalnce, but because he really REALLY has a bad case of social anxiety and a side of low self-esteem. It's like that one meme in the Meet the Robinsons:

Elpenor: Hey Plutarch how you doin? 😀

Polites: Want me to help with the rope, Plutarch? 😁

Plutarch internally: *They all hated me* 😮‍💨

-He doesn't get involved yet with the crew's chaos and would just be in the corner minding his own business. It gets overwhelming for him when he's talking to many people.

-Of course Polites sees everything and has to intervene so that Plutarch doesn't get left out.

Polites: Hey brother *he puts his arm around Plutarch*

Plutarch: *oh gods the captain's best bro is here. Did i do something wrong? Am i gonna get thrown out of the ship? He's probably gonna talk about how im not pulling my weight as the other crew does.* h-hey

Polites: Whatcha got there?

Plutarch: Oh uh nothing. It's just to pass the time. Um carving *i know this is the worst piece i ever did. I should probably throw this overboard? No wait im just wasting wood. Oh gods i wasted wood* (He was carving a small toy bear)

Polites: aw that looks cute!

Plutarch: *wait what? No he's probably lying just to make me feel better. Im a failure* ...eh it's nothing really.

-Elpenor follows suit in annoying making Plutarch open up a bit.

Elpenor: Sooooooo can you make something for me? 😀

Plutarch: *sighs* for the last time I'm not making a mini statue of you

Elpenor: Oh come on! I have the physique of a man of honor *flexes his body*

Eurylochus: Yeah "man of honor" *gives Elpenor a poke*

Elpenor: Ah!!

-When it comes to his relationship with Odysseus, at first he would be very scared of him. But would later found how very playful the captain really is (and how damn ticklish he is). Odysseus would definitely ask for Plutarch to carve some toys for Telemachus.

-Now for the tickle hcs for him *inhales and exhales*. At first you'd think he's not ticklish. Elpenor tried to sneak in some pokes on his sides, back, neck, like pretty much everywhere, only to be returned with a deadpan stare. Though one night Polites tried to wake Plutarch up for his shift. He scratched his sole then *BAM* he got kicked in the face. Imagine the glee Polites had when he found out that Plutarch was ticklish at his feet and the horror on Plutarch. The entire crew won't let that information go easily. Ever since that little incident, he would sleep with his knees close to his chest and blankets covering it.

Eurylochus: Plutarch, the captain is looking for you.

*Plutarch goes to Odysseus' quarters*

Plutarch: Yes, captain?

Odysseus: Plutarch, Plutarch, Plutarch, why did you not tell us that you were ticklish? Hm?

Plutarch: *blushes* I honestly didn't know that I'm ticklish...sir. (and i will let your imagination fly with what happened)

-Now that he opened up, Plutarch would be tasked to hold the poor victim down the the crew wanted to torment

-Obviously he would be very devastated with Polites' death and would close himself off again. He would definitely carve out some figurines that looked like Polites (and future dead crewmates. Yes im talking to you Elpenor)

-His death would be around Eurylochus' mutiny. He never sided on anybody at that point. He just wanted everyone to get along.

MDVEKEBFKF I LOVE HIM SO MUCH YOU HAVE NO IDEA!! He sounds so cute & sweet, & also so cool! A blacksmith who hates violence? HELL YEAH! & I absolutely love wood carvings, they’re beautiful & there’s so much craftsmanship that goes into it & the whole process seems very therapeutic, so he sounds like a nice, chill dude

I can picture him perfectly, he’s got them broad shoulders & thick arms & thighs from all that hard labor. I love seeing or imagining in this case different body types in character line ups! Gotta have some height & body size variation!

He literally sounds so cute I just wanna hug him! Asterios would totally get along with him, they can be quiet moody buddies together lol. Fr tho, that’s so relatable. Especially when you’re around that many people constantly every single day, it would feel so overwhelming & it would be so easy to get paranoid that people don’t really like you & are just pretending. Poor thing just needs some reassurance! But yeah I fuckin’ love that meme, it’s a classic

Aww he’s just gotta warm up to everyone! I’m sure he’ll join the shenanigans when he’s ready! Til then, he’s just gonna enjoy the show

But Polites is so damn sweet! He doesn’t want anyone to feel left out. & as soon as he noticed he has a hobby, he’s gonna be interested! It’s a way for him to get to know him & give Plutarch a chance to open up while also complimenting his talent! His interactions with all the crew are so cute & wholesome!

Mcshlsdbdl I fuckin’ LOVE when someone doesn’t think they’re ticklish & are so sure of this fact only to have their worldview rocked lmao. Poor thing has such a big storm comin’ his way!

But Odysseus is such a little shit, he would drag it out to make Plutarch nervous & think he’s in trouble & then it’s literally just “why didn’t you tell us you’re ticklish?” Talk about whiplash!

Plutarch never catches a break after that fr. He constantly gets drug into the fray because he’s strong enough to keep people pinned, but even that warrants revenge

Omggg my heart!! That’s so sad but really sweet how he honors their memory with little carvings. I’m totally not gonna cry what are you talking about?

He survives a long time!! But sadly, he’s doomed by the narrative just like everyone else😭 poor baby just wanted everyone to get along!
