Will this blog have any events soon? It feels like it's just slowly dying save for a few mildly entertaining asks.

((I do have a few ideas in mind and a few sprites already made, it's just an issue of timing and making sure I have everything prepared

Art's been on pause due to issues at home, so getting that sort of stuff prepared just hasn't been easy, though things have been getting better (albeit slightly) so I've actually had drawing energy again to get back to working on stuff for this blog

Though at the same time, ask blogs run on asks, so if I'm not getting asks, I can't post, and if I don't post, I don't get asks, and it just kinda repeats, so I can only do so much on my end

But don't worry, I don't wanna let this blog die out just yet, I'll keep working on it if y'all can keep sending asks o7 (Maybe I should reblog an ask game to help? idk lemme know your thoughts) ))

It okay, I know you've been busy and Tumblr sometimes eats the asks and trust me, I try not to he too persistent Bout asks and I deeply apologize :(

In the ask, that scene where Tyrion played the game of thrones with Petyr, Lord Varys and Maester Pycelle about who he was going to propose a marriage between Myrcella with either Robin Ayrryn of the Vale (it's been awhile since I've watched it), Theon Greyjoy of the Salt Islands or even to Doane so she would be safe if King's Landing fell

What IF he also did the same thing for Joanna!lookalike? He knows that ever since Joffrey became king, things have been going down and Tyrion worries if his nieces will live through it; so thats when he sets plans into motion:

He tells Petyr Baelish that he plans to marry Myrcella to Robin Arryn and Joanna!lookalike to Robb Stark in hopes of ending this war

To Lord Varys, he tells him that he plans to wed Myrcella to Theon and Joanna!lookalike to Euron Greyjoy (not like he really would, he just testing for allies, plus Cersei kill him)

And he tells Maester Pycelle about marrying his nieces off to Dorne; when Myrcella wedded to Tristan I think his name was, and Joanna!lookalike to Oberyn Martell

And of course, Cersei is furious when she finds out as not only is it an insult to her, but to HER oldest daughter; forced to marry a man half her age just like Cersei was to Robert, plus Oberyn already has a paramour AND bastard daughters! So it's basically an insult to her daughter!! 😤

But Tyrion wants his nieces safe, especially for his eldest to he away from her overbearing family, forced to live in the same place as his mother as they basically dehumanize her from being her own person; so its best for her to he spirited away, have a breather away from her suffocating family... :(

In Tyrion’s mind he’s doing everything in his power to ensure Myrcella and Joanna!lookalike!Reader will be safe and protected but to Cersei this is just him trying to take away her precious children and a way to just simply hurt her. She sees nothing about this being for either of her girls’ safety. How could selling both her daughters to treacherous men in a cruel world come anywhere close to being protection??? The best protection either girl has is Jaime or the Mountain and both of them are right there in King’s Landing so why even bother outsourcing.

If Tyrion is so hellbent on sending away one of her daughters then Cersei would much rather have Joanna!Lookalike!Reader stay by her side where they belong. As much as she loves her darling Myrcella, Cersei can’t have the Reader taken away from her again.

Meanwhile, Tyrion isn’t just trying to keep his nieces safe, he’s also trying to get Joanna!lookalike far away from Cersei. He knows his sister and he knows she’ll only take Joanna!lookalike down with her in the end. At least this way the Reader will have a better chance at having some semblance of a fulfilling life so long as they’re away from Cersei and Tywin.

Speaking of which, without a doubt Cersei will run to their father to tell him all about what Tyrion is trying to do. Tywin will surely put a stop to it, at least he’d put a stop to Joanna!lookalike!Reader’s proposals. Myrcella would still end up being shipped off one way or another, sooner or later. But not the Reader, they’re off limits after all. And Tywin would have some very choice words for Tyrion for even thinking of doing such a thing with Joanna!lookalike!Reader in the first place.

BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!!

So, we had a secret extra participant in the gift exchange - Chicago and New Zealand's Merry, Eileen Doan herself! Our exchange organiser Mo felt that giving someone the sole responsibility of making art for an actual cast member might be a bit daunting, so it was agreed that Eileen would be making a communal gift for the whole fandom, and I would take on the extra task of making something for Eileen, since I've been making cast portraits for a while now anyway. I was thrilled to do it, especially as I absolutely adore Eileen, and have loved following his journey with this show! ❤️

Eileen requested art of the Chicago hobbits, and since fitting four hobbits in one piece felt like a bit too tall an order, I settled on the dynamic duo of Eileen's Merry and Ben Mathew's Pippin! Their dynamic fills me with so much joy, and it was a lot of fun to paint them together! I did struggle a LOT with getting their likenesses down, and I especially feel like I didn't really do Eileen's charmingly mischievous energy justice, but I really really hope they both like it anyway! 🙏

So happy lotrmusicalmas and new year to Eileen! Thank you for your loving, unique and heartfelt contributions to this show and fandom, we're so lucky to have had you as our Merry! Best of luck to all your future endeavors and hope we've not seen last of you in Middle-Earth! ❤️

HGUC 1/144 P-Bandai Principality of Zeon Mass Production Mobile Suit MS-06GD-01 "Zaku II" High Mobility Surface Type (Egba Alter Custom)

Finally finished!!! I've been working on this kit in the background for a couple of months now. I really loved these guys in the Cucuruz Doan's Island movie, as sort of unique upgraded Zaku IIs that skate around like the Doms from the original anime.

The part of this kit that originally attracted me was the camouflage pattern. All of the details are water decals. This was my first time working with them, and although I found them really frustrating to work with sometimes they give a much better looking effect than the dry decals and foil stickers from normal kits. I added some extra details inspired by some of my friends' tank models, including a cam-net cape made using a gauze bandage (that isn't actually there on Egba's machine in the anime).

There are 5 versions of this machine, for the members of the Southern Cross Corps. Egba Alter's version comes with a combat knife in place of the classic Zaku II heat hawk. This can be held as a sidearm and attached to the hip skirt or fixed as a bayonet to the zaku machine gun.

The kit also comes with a spare pan magazine, which I've attached to the opposite hip.

Egba's mobile suit has a heat rod attached to the backpack, which comes with a heat-off and heat-on option. I added some red to make it look more like heated metal and less like a big yellow stick.

Overall I'm really really happy with how this kit turned out! I'm nearly done with my really long backlog and I'm finally starting to fill up my display.
