Idk if anyone else has pointed this out,,,but in Pressure our Expendable/Prisoner character seems to be "disconnected" from us the player (like an Undertale/Deltarune situation).
Just judging by the text that precedes an Angler attack or when certain actions are executed (inserting batteries), the Prisoner seems to be aware that we're controlling them and dying over and over again--which has made them pessimistic towards us (and snarky at times, too)
There was one where they call us "stupid" for trying to interact with something but I forgor what that was...
But man getting the Underwater Hazards file was pain bc it goes from "uh oh there's critters all over your body" to-
Yeah
They're out here suffering while we're just trying to collect all the badges/documents,,,,,
Seems like the Expendable is both prisoner to Urbanshade and to the player's control
Skip has always found a way to work through his problems and turn them around with relative ease, but the sudden death of his wife, Brandi, has brought his mostly carefreeness towards his children to a stand-still. With two freshly traumatized children and a newborn under his belt, can Skip juggle turning his shitty ass life around for his family, or will he crumble under the weight of his past mistakes?
Darleen hasn’t been the same since her husband, Darren, died, though she’d be quick to argue with you if you said anything of the sort. She’s FINE! She misses her husband, undoubtedly, but she’s not going to let that very, very, very tiny thing wreck her whole life, and she’s not going to let people give her grief about ANYTHING. Sure, she got fired from her job a few months back and hasn’t made any strides to find a new one, and she’s losing touch with her son as she goes and squanders all her responsibilities by partying and drinking on par with younger years, aaaaaaaaaaaaand the almost obsessive idealistic crush she’s developed on her neighbor is clouding the second half of her judgment, but she’s bounced back from worse and knows everything’s going to come up Darleen :) …………. hopefully
I find it so funny how Wanda very clearly just kinda hates Dev. Girl be mad at the system that gave your son a difficult godkid his first go around, not the 10 year old emotionally neglected child.
it's been a while since i tried looking, but i did hear that something like this happens last year and over time started to think, "was it a fluke?" bc no one posted footage or caps of it then, and i aimed for a completionist run in my first playthrough. turns out it's real! and definitely shines a new light on a character that, for most other types of playthroughs, will not give this much emotion! EDIT: transcript now included, and some stillshots under the cut

Marie: Henry, this is the man who kept you from doing the right thing tonight. Kill him.
[0:15]
Forrest: Henry, you don’t have to do this. If you’ve not killed anyone yet, there’s still time to make the right decision.

Out of shot: (Gunshots) Henderson Police! Freeze!
Marie: No! Henry, get out of there!
Congratulations hayward and carpenter for doing absolutely nothing this episode. I think it's high time THEY get to be silly while other characters get to go through the worst experience of their lives. You know, as a treat
Hey I love your nature au it’s so good and sad. Ok, so dale just,,,just SHOOTS his own kid just because he was angry that dev couldn’t be bait??? Does dale ever regret it? Does he push the feeling down? Does dev feel like his dad would get physically abused to him if he steps out of line???? Baby boy is only 10 he probably has trauma :(
NOT QUITE, he didn't shoot Dev out of anger he mistook him for a changeling and then victim blamed him for breaking the precautions that he never told him about and couldn't have known existed.
Dale absolutely regrets it. He feels genuinely sickeningly awful, but unfortunately, he has no idea how to express that in a way that isn't extremely toxic.
i just woke up so i haven't actually watched the pokemon direct thingy yet, but i heard they mentioned they aren't pushing out another console release at all for 2024 and if that's true then frankly THAT news is way more hype than any actual game announcement could ever be. go girl let us wait!! this is genuinely what i've been begging for for years now
like, oh a new Legends game? that's neat i guess. oh wait it's being given literally ANY time to cook and they aren't crunching Game Freak to hell and back in order to pump out a bunch of half-baked annual releases for the first time in ages?? NOW we're fuckin talking. LOVE to see the torturous cycle broken
finally got around making a proper outfit reference sheet for nathan! he likes wearing dark clothes which really emphasizes just how pale he is. he was a STEM developer at MOBIUS for nine years what did you expect </3 click for higher resolution and to get a closer look at all the details!
outfits from left to right: his gear for the evil within 2, 1am convenience store trip, his mobius gear, and an improvised outfit for my own fictional the evil within 3 =^)
The fact that the cosmic being in Angel Hare is genuinely a good guy who loves the protagonist and not a surprise twist villain is So fucking empowering. I'm so fucking normal about this series
