oh man, i have a few good ones.

the most heart breaking one was that i got a Kurtis Macdermid jersey (as most of you know he was the love of my life) and the day before he got traded, he signed it and personalized it for me. then the next day he got traded. it was one of the sweetest moments I’ve ever had with a human in my whole life. i love that man so dearly.

I met Ross Colton!

first of all he was wearing all black the first time i met him. He told me i smelled good and got all like smirky with it. then i met him again, at the signing he had at the sports card store and he goes “oh hey its the girl from practice that smells good!” (before you ask, yes i died on the spot and no i am not okay)

Besides those I dont have much for Avs, but i do have some stories of meeting other NHLers! let me know if you’d like those as well!

Happy Favs Friday! What's your favourite thing (tropes, settings, etc.) to put in all of your WIPs?

Ooooh, thank you Anon for asking!! My FAVORITE trope is Found Family. Absolute favorite! It is in all 3 of the major WIP's - @theimperiumchronicles @bombsbodyguardsbroken @bendingthelaws.

I just have started writing @magical-mistakes-vm so I don't know if it will turn up in there somehow or not, but it's probably a safe bet it will come in somewhere and somehow.

In @theimperiumchronicles it is freaking everywhere.

Literal found family in Cruz having found Abriella. Spoiler - Deacon is going to discover he has two sisters in Yael and Phaedra! *eeeeeeee* Div and Lucifer are literally Abriella and Cruz's grandfathers, as well as being literally related to Kaylin, Deacon, Phaedra, and Yael. Talon discovered that Thinius was his dad in the past after having been brought up to believe that Abbadon was. That was a huge shock to both of them and one they struggled with for a while, but they are now best friends, instead of trying to go with typical dad/son dynamic.

And then there is the "Family" of Adriel being Abriella's "dad". Another SPOILER that I haven't even introduced the start of yet...Amon was the same to Yael when she was under Gabriel, and when Gabriel had badly injured her, Amon would come and "kidnap" her till she was healed again when she would manage to "escape" from he and his top General, her "uncle" Heath. She got "kidnapped" a lot.

Another layer of found family are the deep and lasting friendships that are woven throughout the story. Talon and his bio-sis Talia are estranged, but he considers Abriella his sister and Deacon a brother. Dez considers Thinius a brother and Abriella a sister he fucked up with and is trying to fix his relationship with. Deacon considers all of the other Horsemen his siblings, as does Olly. Cruz is the only one who is only close to really close to two people - Abriella and Arch. Why that is will come out, and he will eventually start to trust others, but he has very valid reasons. Most of those in the Palace of Imperium would die for anyone else there. They may not be besties, but there is respect and some form of love. They are a form of family.

In @bombsbodyguardsbroken, the whole team becomes a family. There comes a time when sides have to be taken and two families form, but both think they have Melania's best interest at heart. She is the central character, and she is the heart of the family. They may not always agree on what is best, but they do have her welfare in mind. She loves her team, but there are three people that you do not want to get between her and: her mother, Dontanion, and Francois. In her past, she had been lied to about who they truly were to her. They are the only ones in her life who have never betrayed her or used her and anyone trying to turn her against them will pay dearly for it.

Those around Colin Masterson have formed a type of family. In some cases they have even adopted his own brother Colton Masterson into the fold, running interference between the two siblings who have noble intentions but see the justice system from totally opposing sides in @bendingthelaws. Whether they agree or not, whether they have reasons to hold grudges, when the chips are down, they consider themselves brothers and sisters in arms against Constantin Rakeovich. And when someone sets their sights on taking Colin out, they band together to fight back. They just might not be fighting who they think they are, but they are never fighting alone.

Jimmy Dale “J.D.” Herchenhahn entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior whom he so earnestly loved and served Thursday morning May 11, 2023 at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCare Center. Some people called him Dr. Herchenhahn, many others knew him as Pastor, but to us he was forever our precious Dad and Papa. His faith has become sight, and we believe he heard a big “Well done, good and faithful servant” when he entered heaven’s gates!

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of over 54 years, Jean Herchenhahn; his parents, A.B. and Iva Herchenhahn, two brothers, Allen Herchenhahn and Fred Herchenhahn; and five sisters, Lucille Jones, Jean Brunson, Gayle Mattheiss, Dawn Gunderson, and Louise Bates.

Jim loved his family dearly and will be most missed by his three children, Janna (Jeff) Attoe of Hampstead, Jay (Gina) Herchenhahn of Lancaster, SC, and Joy (Brad) Barth of Kernersville, NC; grandchildren Jensen (Ray) Rivera, Jonah Attoe, Jayse Attoe, Kalli Herchenhahn, Kassi Herchenhahn, Khloe Herchenhahn, Caleb Herchenhahn, Cooper Barth, Colton Barth, and Copley Barth; great-grandchildren, Vincent and Halston Rivera; two sisters, Wilma Jones and Judy Ray; many nieces and nephews. Janna, Jay and Joy would like to thank Steve and Joanna Groves, David Groves, and Tom Hayden for faithfully and lovingly caring for our dad. We would also like to acknowledge and thank David  and Cathy Lane, Edna Lancaster, Mark and Nancy Cramer, and Jimmy Sibbett for loving our dad and being the hands and feet of Jesus in dads time of need.

Jimmy Dale was born April 25, 1941 in Macedonia, Mississippi. During his junior year of high school in Pensacola, Florida, he received Christ as his Savior under the ministry of Dr. Dolphus Price.  As a senior, he surrendered to preach the Gospel.  He attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina before serving two years with the United States Army. He was a Vietnam Veteran.

Jim finished his college education at Tennessee Temple College in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was involved in many aspects of college life including playing on the baseball team and serving as student body President. It was there that he met and married his sweetheart. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1968.  He pastored the Fellowship Baptist Church in Trion, Georgia for three and a half years during his tenure at TTC and afterwards. Then in 1970, the Lord called the Herchenhahns to Wilmington to work at Grace Baptist Church—first as Assistant Pastor under Dr. Ray Noland, and then starting in 1971 as Senior Pastor of Grace and President of Wilmington Christian Academy.   

The Lord used Pastor Herchenhahn in a great way during his thirty-six years in leadership of the church and school.  Hundreds of people came to know the Lord under his ministry, and many others grew in their faith.  A number of men and women were called to various areas of “full-time Christian service” under his leadership.  Many missionaries, pastors, teachers, and others are still serving the Lord around the world.

He retired from Grace at the end of December 2006. That freed them up to do some short-term mission work in Guam. After that he began filling pulpits for preachers in and around the Wilmington area. That ministry led them to Riley’s Creek Baptist Church in 2010, where he was called to be their Senior Pastor. He retired from Riley’s Creek in 2021 for the primary purpose of taking care of his beloved wife and soulmate who was declining in health. He wanted to spend as much time with her as he possibly could, and that he did.

Only eternity will reveal the impact of the life and ministry of Pastor J.D. Herchenhahn. He was an exemplary pastor, faithfully preaching the Word and sharing the gospel, as well as humbly serving and caring for people. He often quoted these lines from a poem: “Others, Lord, yes, others, let this my motto be, “help me to live for others, that I may live like Thee.” He certainly reflected Jesus through his life.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Grace Baptist Church, 1401 North College Road, Wilmington, with a  memorial service honoring Pastor Herchenhahn will be immediately following. Close family friend and co-laborer Rev. Mike Meshaw will officiate along with Rev. David Lancaster and Rev. Jay Knolls.. There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at  Oleander Memorial Gardens. with Rev. Brian Beaver conducting the service.

In lieu of flowers  memorials  may be made to Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Foundation, 1414 Physicians Dr., Wilmington, NC 28401. We will be forever grateful for their gentle care and compassion given to our dad.

There was a joke on the tip of his tongue, maybe something about how hard he was to get over, that he left a lasting impression on people, but he knew that they weren't quite there yet, didn't want to drive that home and hurt any deeper than he already did, instead nodding his head softly. "I get it," for her, he had been the dream, the package deal, and he had honestly tried to feel that way, too, even when he knew that his heart had been snatched up and held dear a long, long time ago. "And I get that, too," he let out a soft laugh, watching her shift to get comfortable, too. "It sucked and it was awful, but I think it gave us all the push to grow up, too."

Dropping his gaze to the crates of toys, the pinks and blues and purples of ponies and Barbies unmistakable in a room that was otherwise filled with wood grain and leather, he let out a soft laugh, nodding his head. "Rosalyn," he confirmed, looking back up. "It didn't happen immediately, I didn't ask you for a divorce and set off to find Cordelia to start a life together, we sort of ran into each other at a football game, of all places, had a lot to work through to get here." He paused, rubbing a palm against his denim-clad knee before letting out a half laugh, "I don't know how much you want to know, I don't -- you know, I don't want it to feel like salt in wound."

Snorting a laugh when she talked about siblings, wanting a lot of kids, he shot her an almost playful look, "it has its pros and cons. Elliot doesn't even speak, and he's got the biggest mouth, so I knew you'd find out from him." But his tone was light as he said it; after all, he did love his siblings dearly, enjoyed coming from a big family, knew that it had been something Tamara had wanted, too. A part of him wished he had been able to give her that. When she talked about a spare room for Colton, he looked up with a little surprise, watching her face, "what, like my kid is going to get into any trouble?" he asked after a moment, smirk toying at the corner of his lips.

”It took me a while to get over you, I won’t lie. I kind of shoved it down and buried myself in work and study, until I realised that it wasn’t helping anyone.” Tamara said gently, not to make him feel any worse than he already did, just to be honest. She didn’t want there to be any discomfort between them any longer, and while that would take time, honesty was a good start.

”I did hear. I’m sorry, Cage… He was a good man. I thought about sending a post card, but… what good would that have done at the time?” She asked rhetorically, leaning back into the corner as soon as they’d shifted positions on the couch. “I don’t know a lot.” Tamara admitted with a breath. “But I knew you got together and that you’re engaged, that she has a little girl which is probably who those barbies belong too.” She rambled with a soft, lopsided smile followed shortly by a gentle laugh. “I appreciate it. And yes, you do have some very big-mouthed siblings. I guess that’s kind of what I always thought I’d have, lots of kids so they had each others backs like you all do.” But there was hardly a chance of that now, as healthy and buoyant as she is, she wasn’t getting any younger.

Shifting the topic as she wasn’t aiming to be bleak, she broke the short silence. “You know, I was going to set up the spare room for Colton. In case he ever wanted to come visit. It’ll be a general guest bedroom until then, but you never know. It might be good for him to have a safe place to crash in town in case he ever gets into any mischief.”

Oh Teen Wolf the movie just like hit and brought back all the nostalgia. 6 stunning wild crazy seasons of battling to survive to be brought back into the world once again as the movie that hits home.

Love and missed Allison, she truly was the anchor to Scott, their love story was tragic and hard to keep going bc of the way they ended things and how no matter the issues they both still loved each other even if there was someone else like Issac and Malia. When Crystal chose to leave and exit like she did in the show was a low blow, felt there could been more for them but her end brought new stories for Scott and I guess it helped to guide them as long as it could. I was more of a fan for Scott and Allison's plot also Derek I mean who doesnt love Tyler Hoechlin he was fun to watch alongside Tyler Posey when he was still with the show too. But actors leave and go on to do other things.

It was a bit fun watching all the old villains come together, Nagitsune, and the Oni and the pack coming back together to fight also seeing Derek who ended up having a teenage son. Lydia ever so smart and wise love her too. Jackson was a bit odd to see though lol his reasoning for coming back and still dating Ethan and such was funny bc to me he brought back the HS jock who just had an attitude issue but he and Lydia were good pair not the best compared to Scallison and Stydia, Stiles was dearly missed but the story still flowed without him there.

Jackson and Lydia having such lil funny moments and him that guy lol he barely had much lines but he still can give a persona a giggle or two when he speaks. Hes like Peter without the kill mode flare that Peter gives. Colton is a great actor but Jackson was not one of his many good roles per say even though it brought him to grow and do more in the movie it just was meh but he helped Lydia when she needed the strength to weep for her BFF Allison who was about to dye again.

Papa Argent and Mama McCall those two sassy loving parents, love them both so much even though Argent at first was such a douche in the show, in the beginning, he kind of became loveable when he decides to help Scott and he as an actor is such a cool guy love his other works. JR Bourn is just one of many of my favs since his appearance on Stargate sg1 yrs ago he's been fun to watch. Melissa Ponzio also such a sweet woman love her works on other shows to but being Mamma McCall is one of her best roles.

Derek really had it rough on the show and in the movie, Tyler just can make you cry when hes hurt but his end was such a tissue-needing moment especially when he looked at his son one last time and held Gerard Argent who survived the bite and such became the big bad at the end, Derek sacrificed himself to hold him in place while Parrish used his hell hound power to burn him to ash which also meant Derek wouldn't survive that so he died leaving his son in the hands of Scott to be taken care of. It was bittersweet knowing they would give Derek an ending like that since they showed all the amazing stuff Derek went through and how Stilinski talked during the flashback moments to Eli which gave a bit of comfort to him but there was also that guilt Eli i think carries bc he never got to learn much from his dad like he should have but when Derek told the reason Eli is the way he is was bc of a past trauma where his son saw him shift into the were coyote when his son was in danger of coyotes about to attack which left Eli frightened of what he learned would be his fate.

Malia, Peter, Mason, Deaton, and Hikari didnt really have much scenes being a movie based more around Scott, Derek, Allison, and Eli, they kind of had small moments of being whitty and there for Scott even though Peter of all ppl lol not as sure to why he was around I mean he didnt even think of stopping Derek he was litterally cold as ice to him even by blood. Deaton was more of a guide he helped the pack like he normally does, Mason not as sure even though he was Deputy it was maybe for cast wise and Malia gurl is still the same but she and Parrish well be damned they get something going on guess the breakup with Scott was meh to her lol.

But overall the movie was fun to watch and suspenseful and brought back the cast as much as they could and left it open for more Scott and Allison and Eli adventures down the road if and when Jeff comes up with another brilliant story to come up it.

If you have seen all 6 seasons of Teen Wolf it really brings back the old times and the future for more.

The Lovers - Colton Herta & Kyle Kirkwood

Upright, the Lovers can represent love, harmony, partnerships, shared values, and choices. Reversed, it can mean self-love, imbalance, and disconnection.

This one does not always mean romance, it's rather a card about choice. Kyle didn't need to defend Colton's win in Toronto, he could've passed him to win himself, but he chose not to. He could have mourned his lost podium in Nashville, but he chose to celebrate Colton's win. While racing is often considered a dog-eat-dog world, even with your teammates, Colton and Kyle's blatant and unwavering support of each other subverts expectations.

Don't worry, they'll both get individual cards in this series.

The next card will hopefully be the Magician. I'm pretty slammed with homework, so it may be a bit longer before I have that one done.

Having the support of Cage was a huge thing, knowing that he wanted her to do whatever made her happy. To reach out for the dreams she wanted to fulfill. Especially when half of it was to make a continuing better life for their family. Plus, she did like that this had been a bonding moment for Cage and Rosalyn, not that they didn't love each other dearly, but this gave him full time with her, one on one -- since Colton was far more independent. Something she thought was good for the two of them to have a bit of, if they were ever going to expand their family someday. For now she was happy to be home and getting back to the kids, snuggling her littlest one as close as could be into her arms. While it had all been fun, she missed her daughter, she missed Colton.

Arms tight around her she let out a sigh, feeling that peace and safety of being home. Being home in his arms again, that ability to just know where she belongs. It had taken them so long to get to that point and it always was a reminder when she got back to it. "Oh I missed her so much, I feel like even though it was just a few weeks, being away was too long." She was growing up so fast now at this stage, getting sassier, crazier, and she didn't want to miss any of it, but this was also important. So much of this was to show Rosalyn that you could do anything you put your mind to, at any time, no matter what you thought you could or couldn't do.

"Such a good kid, I can't wait to see him too. Might even make his favorite dinner tonight." she teased, "I missed him too, even if he is far too cool to say he actually missed me." knowing that was a somewhat new teenager for you. "Every single detail? And not fall asleep? I make no promises." she laughed heading out with him after he had her stuff in hand. Once in the truck she got comfortable. Jared Padalecki Says He Hopes to Reprise His Supernatural Character One Day

Two months after Supernatural aired its 15th and final season, Jared Padalecki is holding out hope that he'll get to reprise his iconic role again one day.

The actor, 38, played Sam Winchester on the long-running CW series opposite Jensen Ackles, who starred as Sam's brother Dean.

"I love Supernatural, dearly, I always will," Padalecki tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "I have a deep and abiding love for Sam Winchester, and I loved helping him come to life for 15 years and 327 episodes."

Though he admits Sam "deserved a little bit of a rest," he says he would love to revisit the character in the future, as he did with his Gilmore Girls character in the 2016 reboot of the hit series.

"I certainly have it somewhere in the bottom of my heart and soul that I hope September 10 isn't the last time I ever played Sam Winchester," he says, referring to the date he filmed the final Supernatural episode.

Still, Padalecki says that quarantining during the COVID-19 pandemic helped him realize that he wants to be home with his family more often than he was while filming the show.

Being home helped him discover "how much of a homebody I am. During the quarantine, I realized how much I really loved being at home. I love my family, which is pretty cool," says the actor, whose new show, Walker, debuts on The CW Thursday.

Padalecki shares three children — sons Thomas Colton, 8, and Austin Shepherd, 7, and daughter Odette Elliott, 3 — with wife Genevieve, whom he met on the Supernatural set.

"I kind of knew it, in my heart of hearts, but I'd never really had the chance to test that theory," he says of valuing family time. "During Supernatural, there were some calendar months in there where I would see my wife and kids three or four days out of the entire month. That's it."

He continues, "We use FaceTime, and do phone calls and send videos, and all that. But to go from seeing your family three days in February, to seeing them 30 days in April is a big change."

His costar, Ackles, was also on the same page, Padalecki says: "That's the entire reason why Jensen and I wanted to bid a fond farewell to Supernatural — we both have wives and three kids."

🍬 for a family headcanon (For Bailey, Hänsel, and Charlie!!)

This got a little long so under a cut it goes!

Bailey:

"Bailey, Bailey, Bailey!" A tiny chrous of children yell as they latch onto his legs. He doesn't stumble, instead laughing at his younger brothers and sisters.

"Missed me that much?" He asks, getting another chrous of "yes!" in return.

- as mentioned in a previous ask, Bailey has many siblings. He loves them dearly and would fight anyone if they tried to harm them. He becomes a different person when he's around them, softer and more agreeable.

Hänsel:

"Still should've been in Diasomnia." Hänsel's father grumbles from his spot on the couch. "Octavinelle of all places... What good can you do with a bunch of fish?"

Hänsel laughs away his father's worries. "No need to worry. I've found tons of work in that dorm and—" he smiles "��not a single munter in sight!

- most of Hänsel's life has been centered around his father as his mom left shortly after his birth. With only him as someone to look up to, most of his behavior can be traced back to him. He taught Hänsel everything about making deals and offers people couldn't refuse.

Charlie:

"Darling! Charlie's made it home safe!" Colton yells for Johnathan as he meets his son halfway and traps him in a hug. Charlie stumbles, but gratefully accepts. "How's school? And your exams? And did you make any friends? No one's bullying you because you're from Uncanny Valley, right?"

"Good, also good, yes, and no." Charlie smiles as he answers his dad's questions. Colton sighs in relief as he leads him inside. Home sweet home.

- I have to make an official post for Uncanny Valley but it's essentially where many post released criminals go to (and often commit more crimes). Charlie was adopted at a young age by two of the Valley's notorious criminals: Johnathan Blake (arrested for kidnapping his first love) and Colton Blake (arrested for killing and using the blood of the Valley's worst criminals as paint for his artworks). Despite the criminal background and Charlie's resulting outlook on love, they're surprisingly decent parents and only want the best for him.
