#i love armand and i hope the show makes changes to the trial storyline

i found it particularly interesting how armand treated claudia when he found out about her making friends with a human vs. how he treated santiago when he caught him eavesdropping. while ruthless in both instances, he was much more violent and threatening with santiago (choking him so hard that he whimpers and telling him he would meet the same fate as his maker if he continues acting like this). and that’s not to say the way he acted towards claudia wasn’t atrocious, cause it was, but claudia actually got to say a piece of her mind before armand went all “ancient and powerful leader of the coven who must be obeyed” on her, santiago didn’t even get that. and i don’t think it’s cause he likes her, it’s very obviously because of louis. cause he DOES love louis, and wants to keep him, even if it means losing his coven and the power he holds over it. but in order to be with louis, he also must find a common ground with claudia, which is nearly impossible, considering she has a rebellious nature and will call the coven out on their bullshit, albeit in subtler ways. armand just has so many things he needs to juggle for his relationship with louis to work, and he’s doing his best, because he cares very deeply about louis.
