Serendipity should be required viewing material before anyone tries to analyze Homestuck; not only is John Cusack a universal constant, but the themes and vibes of Serendipity are so fundamentally woven into Homestuck's DNA that several of Serendipity's thesises and conversations could be lifted directly from one to the other.

In particular, the way Serendipity utilizes coincidence and circumstantially simultaneous events in order to suggest - nay, decree - that the two leads belong together, is highly reminiscent of the way Hussie uses foreshadowing, and not just for romantic couples. It's also a major window into the ultimate stance Homestuck takes with regard to romance, fate, and destiny, and also more specifically, a really good look at Karkat's own personal philosophies of romance. There's a running theme in his movies of meeting someone that perfectly matches your freak, someone you don't ever need to compromise yourself around, who brings out the best in you.

Also, some of yall need to watch a shitty romcom every once in a while and develop some emotions

so my brain finally circled around to deciding to actually watch game changer, after seeing so much of it on my dash

i got the free trial, ofc, expecting to watch game changer then cancel, as one usually does

then i watched all six seasons in around three days. and quite frankly, they deserve my money for that alone. if i don't watch a single other thing on dropout for the rest of this year, its still absolutely been worth it. game changer is simply that good.

(ive since shown episodes to three other friends. i will make my housemate watch all of it with me if it takes all year to do so. she doesn't quite know the extent of this yet.)

This one is filled with all sorts of religious literature, it's rather old, from the Green hegemonic linguistic dynasty. I think this one would fit nicely in the Capital's library, please, bring it to Veil Of Dreams and he will guide you from there."

how i feel knowing i've spent the last 6 months convincing myself that he likes me even though it could not be clearer to me now that he absolutely does not

#i'm not even upset i'm more just annoyed i've spent so much time and energy on #being nice to him and supporting him and getting into his interests and hanging out w him #and not only does he not like me but he can't even treat me nicely #like he's actively hostile and aggressive with me #who else remember when he said he loves me ridiculously. who else remember when he told me #a list of all the reasons he used to have a crush on me without me asking #who remember when he used to walk across rooms past everyone else to come talk to me #and once did it about 10 times in a rehearsal #fuck my life. i can't believe this is where this has gone lmao #it's like. i don't think he's a bad person and i do think he loves me and cares about me #he would not spend... 11 hours at my house if he did not #but he does not behave in a way that makes me feel loved and cared for and i think that matters #if it was my choice i would probably choose not to be friends with him anymore #but at this point he has told me so much and sees our relationship as so intimate and vulnerable #that i don't think i can end the friendship without deeply upsetting him #lol. this is why i need to go missing but like consensually #i need to go somewhere for a year and live my best life and not have to worry about #being guilty about ghosting people or not talking to them. lol #okay. well whatever i'm quite upset and bummed out and don't know what to do #but tbh it's worth putting up w him being mean to me to get his lore bc i love studying him like a bug.#so yenno what i have nothing to complain about actually #maia.txt

so in an effort to platform black people in period pieces you’re also giving content made for the Tuskegee airmen (fics, gifs, etc) the platform they deserve, right? you’re also showing love and appreciation to the many period pieces that do exist for black people, right? I feel like in some alternate universe where Jamie didn't come out at the press conference he just starts doing more and more signals that are less and less subtle to signal he's queer. Like he's wearing rainbow headbands. His nails are bi pride colors constantly. He exclusively uses a water bottle that says "IM GAY" during his morning sessions with Roy, hoping the paps will comment on it. Like he's out now but if ppl aren't gonna acknowledge it he's gonna be even more of a visual eyesore until they do.

Oh, for sure. Like he's already got his rainbow headband and bi colours headband and he's definitely still wearing them and he's still gonna be obvious about it on social media and in general so people can't ignore it

I can also 100% see him walking around in an "I put the bi in bitch" hat. I tried to put a picture but tumblr said fuck you and blocked the image for no reason so I guess no picture it is

He also makes a queer gc with Keeley and Colin and Trent just to send them those stupid intentionally cringy cursed meme pride shirts and try to talk them into getting the ones he sends for them because he thinks it's funny (and what he sends gets increasingly stupid and unlikely for them to actually wear the more they refuse). He expects Trent to be the first to refuse but instead Trent's the one that's just like sure to the first one and ends up getting it and wearing it one day to Jamie's great delight

(Roy is initially spared from this chaos when he's not out to the team yet so Jamie leaves him out of the gc even though everyone there has already figured him out but Jamie makes up for lost time being extra chaotic and annoying and intentionally pushing his luck once the team all knows)

Jamie's also gonna be an absolute menace about people claiming Keeley cheated on him and then even when they're both like we're literally both dating her shut the fuck up insisting they're just covering their asses or acting like poor them both getting roped along when they're both perfectly happy. Roy's gonna be involved in that though even though he's usually private about his personal shit but people are shitting on Keeley so theyr'e double power pulling receipts and making people look stupid, posting things with passive aggressive captions and things that are just flat out aggressive, and posting dumb jokes

Jamie's twitter and instagram are going to be primarily for fighting and passive aggressively establishing that theyr'e telling the truth while his tiktok has a video about that and then is just stupid jokes that also make their dynamic all that more obvious and publicly establishing that him and Roy are friends and don't hate each other (even as behind the scenes it becomes very different very soon after he starts this) and Roy gets dragged into this more willingly than Jamie's usual just making a tiktok around him and including him however he wants while Roy just glares at him
