how was the weeknd? i was supposed to his show in copenhagen and held on to my tickets all through the pandemic, only for him to cancel the original tour and announce the new show would be in a different part of the country🤬

oh noooo 😭 it was fortunate for me bc i didn't have tickets before but it sucks so bad when it screws over ppl who did have tickets rippp it was so good, i'm sorry bestie 🥲 his stage+light setup was nutssssss!!!! i loooove longer stages in stadiums, that's sm fairer for the audience, and the light design was impeccable! he also had light up braceletes which was very nice but the problem with summer in northern europe is that it starts getting dark at 10pm earliest so the first half of the show (which btw he did 2h with barely any breaks, he went thru like 30 songs! setlist was a 10/10 as well) didn't hit as hard as the second half. also such a german thing happened, at 10.30pm a loud ass gong went thru the stadium and they turned on the lights???? while he was still on stage SINGING bro it was right before his encore and we were all like ?????? are they kicking us out ??? so many ppl left as well, so weird! i think it was a nachtruhe thing (ur not allowed to be loud after 10pm) but thankfully he kept singing and they turned the lights off after 1 1/2 songs (i BET his team came for the stadium's ass). two negative points: ticketmaster was down or smth and the two ppl i went with couldn't access their tickets, it was suchhhhhh a mess! one of them lich rally started crying bc no one could help us and tm doesn't have a fucking hotline 😐 we managed to get our tickets printed at the stadium and had to be escorted thru the vip entrance (a girlie stopped me and wanted a pic with me, i fucking DIED LMAOOOO), this took like 1h but thankfully we got there at 6.30 and he came on stage at 9 lmao and then the other thing is that he basically has no screens ripppp there were 2 on the left and right side for ppl who had restricted view tickets and then another 2 at the end of the stadium but we were sitting in the middle so we couldn't really look at any screens 🥲 oh also he wears a mask for like 65% of the show which is kinda annoying
