Oh ok now I’m wondering what you think any kids between Piper and Zankou would be like! Because you know that they be the most well loved and like spoilt (but not in personality) kids around because their parents would be the most involved in their kids lives !
omg...... and you know they would have the best hair from anyone's ever seen just absolute flowing locks unbelievable. hmm but Who Exactly would the kids be.........
i think it depends one au where wyatt and chris are already born piper and zankou then have a son khalid and then a daughter named hala and the powers would go
wyatt: projection/conjuration, telekinesis, telekinetic orbing
chris: telekinesis, orbing, [another power in the name of making things even i guess. we'll say deflection]
khalid: telekinesis, flaming, mimicry
hala: telekinesis, flaming, clairvoyance
and the dynamics would be wyatt is still the perfection so him and chris kind of have this rift there's also a bit of a rift between the leo kids and the zankou kids at first chris is too standoffish to first offer that olive branch wyatt does it bc he's always amiable but when the elders are kind of scornful that you know. demon kids. that's when chris's fraternal bond really kicks in bc they're not demon kids they're our siblings and last i checked did y'all try to kill my dad? (yes lol. they did. try to eletrocute him to death. s7 was wild lmao.) so khalid and his brothers all end up quite close he plays nice like wyatt but is just as conniving as chris so chris and khalid get along the best bc khalid will actually help him with his stuff whereas wyatt ig gets to stay the twice blessed in this au so he's still kind of with the elders. but since khalid and wyatt are so similar wyatt can absolutely tell when him n chris are Up to Something but like. encourages him to go for it bc chris and esp khalid and hala can play the field in ways he cannot being a paragon of good and all. hala is the baby pulling up the rear so she really wasn't forming conscious memories for the tail end of the rift she was alive for in fact it probably took her a minute to figure out that wyatt and chris weren't even her full blooded siblings so they've always just been Her Brothers and just like her mama she is a snarky piece of work who will keep that damn family in line and just like her father she is the best at plans. so she'll hang out with wyatt in the heavens while chris and khalid are on recon using her powers to figure out the best next move.
no leo au: yusuf, fatima, samara.
yusef: molecular combustion, pyrokinesis, flaming, force blast
fatima: premonition, prescience, astral projection, fading
samara: telekinesis, deflection, molecular immobilization, blinking

Time to talk a bit about Leo, in honor of his birthday:
Rereading The Lost Hero (which btw is way more enjoyable to me now than the first time I read it), I am remembering again why I love Leo as a character. The humor is fine here and there (f. ex. him being snarky towards his dad) but I do agree with some people that sometimes Rick overdoes it and crosses a certain line with some of the jokes. BUT. The moments when we see Leo serious are the moments that actually make me like him as much as I do. For instance, when he talks to Hephaestus for the first time and we get to see what’s going on in his head in that moment... I love that. Also, obviously this boy is a lot smarter than many give him credit for. The way he managed to fix Festus just like that, managed to save Jason and Piper from the cyclops, etc, required some fast thinking. (Also a funny addition about Leo’s skills mentioned by Hephaestus: he managed to build a steam powered chicken chucker as a fifth grader.)
He’s also very relatable to me because I also have a hard time understanding the people around me sometimes (the way he often describes being more comfortable with machines than other people, honestly same) and have felt like an outsider in many groups I’ve been in. And as someone who feels guilt about the smallest of things, I can also relate to that side of him even though I’ve obviously never gone through something as major as he has.
This serious side is something we didn’t get to see in ToA because it was written from Apollo’s pov, and it makes me wish he wasn’t brought back for that series at all. To this day I still dislike TDP the most out of all ToA books which is ironic because it has my favorite ship in it. (The only thing I’m taking with me from ToA for Caleo is that they’ll live with Jo, Emmie and Georgie and become close with them)

(since you sent two different ones for the same ship and it’s also a ship someone else had sent in too and I don’t wanna do more than two per ship, so I’m gonna combine the two you sent in into one!)
9: wiping away someone’s tears
13: kissing someone’s forehead
Romans didn't cry. It was one of the earliest lessons Jason had learned. Romans were strong and strong people didn't show weakness – and crying was a weakness. So Jason didn't cry anymore. He had shed his last tears about being an abandoned toddler raised by wolves many years ago. He had gritted his teeth through two wars, knowing he had to concentrate because he was a leader. People, his people, relied on him. If he broke down, New Rome would break down.
So he stood with his head held high, leading the Romans into war, two times. Well, one and a half times, because the second time around he had one foot in the Roman camp and one in the Greek. There was so much pain there. He'd been away from his home for half a year, had his memories erased, had been violated by Hera into believing he was dating a total stranger (though Piper quickly became one of his best friends), had spent months without all of his memories and struggling with being compared to the Percy Jackson, had been reunited with his long-lost sister. Had been cast out by the Romans, replaced with Percy Jackson.
How strange it was that he had started out resenting this picture of Percy Jackson that others painted for him, but then he met Percy himself and quickly fell head over heels in love with the snarky, funny, cute, kind, passionate, strong and simply amazing Sea Prince. They fought side by side, as a united front, a strong team. And one night, on board of the Argo II, they kissed.
Now he had a boyfriend. A very wonderful, loving boyfriend. Maybe the only person coming close to understanding what all Jason had been through – Percy had been stolen by Hera too, had his memories wiped, though he had gone through more there, having to live on the streets. The two shared their trauma and leaned onto each other and they led Romans and Greeks together.
Jason had that plan, of coming out of that war and getting a semi-normal life with Percy. Jason wanted to go to New York, stay at Camp Half-Blood, until his boyfriend would graduate high school and come to New Rome to go to college. He'd get to enjoy Camp Half-Blood, without the pressure of the war. Be with Percy and Piper and Leo. That had been the plan. And then Leo had gone ahead and died, sacrificing himself during the war. And Jason, strong Roman Jason, cried.
A good thing that his boyfriend controlled all waters, because when Jason stood outside and cried, it started raining. Jason didn't do that himself, Percy did. The rain covered Jason's ears and soon after, Percy's hands cupped his face and tilted it so Percy could press a gentle kiss to his forehead.
“You don't always have to be strong,” whispered Percy. “I can be strong for you.”
With a sob did Jason lean forward, hugging Percy tightly and letting the rain wash away his tears.

ok but how powerful and dramatic would the impact have been if piper did betray leo and jason up on Mount Diablo to save her dad
*just imagine this*
- jason, leo, and piper, fighting the battles up on Mount Diablo . she sees all of the struggling and finally can’t take it anymore
she yells “OK FINE! I’lol do what you want just promise that my dad will be okay!” to the giant. he laughs loudly and stops fighting jason.
- while he’s making his way towards her, she looks at her friends and their thoughts are clear. they think she’s trying to trick him. but thats not it.
- she looks up at the giant in front of her and he says “prove you’re not lying. fight your friends and bring them to me”. she nods sadly and faces her friends who made their way to her. they gave her quick smile and got in lazy fighting stances.
- she immediately charges at them with Katoptris and fights like a demon. at first they laugh a little and barely try fighting back.
- jason is a little worried but doesn’t think much of it because he thinks she’s just trying to make it believable. until she slashes at them and cuts leo’s arm. pain flared up his forearm and when he looked at piper he realized she wasn’t tricking the giant. she was betraying them.
- jason knew too and that surprised him more than he wanted to admit at this point he knew that he really liked piper and didn’t want to accept the facts.
- leo was trying to throw fireballs but the pain on his arm distracted him. jason was really shocked and that distracted him. not only that, but his feelings towards piper made him not want to fight back. he knew he could hurt her if he wanted to and asked it out, but he didn’t want to.
- jason thought that leo didn’t try fighting back because he was hurt, but it wasn’t just physical pain. it was emotional pain that affected him too.
- piper was leo’s only real friend. sure jason was there too, but in reality they didn’t know each other. their friendship was fake, but his and piper’s friendship was real.
- he hated to think that she had brought them all this way, that they had done so any things together, only for her to betray him and leave him in the end.
- they had been through so much together, so much that leo and jason couldn’t believe she was acting like this
- once they were in too bad of a shape to fight, enceladus grabbed both of them and tied them to stakes, just like he had done to piper’s dad.
- the giant lifted piper’s father’s stake and put it next to her so she could free him. she untied him while the giant laughed and spoke.
- “you McLean are much more useful on our side. i mean to betray your friends, it takes something dark to do that” he said happily.
- piper’s eyes stung with tears as she finished freeing her dad. she was a monster. her friends had done so much for her, and she just betrayed them.
- she wiped her eyes and once her vision was clear, she took a look at her old friends. leo refused to look at her, but she could see the anger in his eyes. it was so much that little flames danced across his skin.
- then she looked at jason. she liked him so much, but she knew she would never get the chance to be with him after this moment. he looked at her with obvious pain. she looked away and saw coach hedge.
- she woke him up and told him to take care of her dad. jason and leo tried to warn him, but piper used her charmspeak to convince him it was alright and she would take care of it.
- once they were out of sight and headed down the mountain, piper went to enceladus. he was almost done getting his fire ready to eat them. he didn’t see her. she was too small and he was too excited.
- she stabbed him in the leg and he roared in pain. with a bit more fighting and pretty birds (no doubt from aphrodite trying to help) she defeated the giant.
- she freed her friends and they seemed confused. “i thought you were going to leave” jason told her.
- she could’ve lied and said it was part of some plan, but she owed it to them to tell them the truth. and so she did. how she really was going to betray them, but she couldn’t bring herself to go through with it.
- jason forgave her after a few minutes of silence. but leo didn’t. “you would’ve left me there if it was just us. you only changed your mind because you’re in love with jason”
- he didn’t look her in the eye and before she could deny it and say they were friends, he walked away to find coach hedge and her dad.
- they completed their quest, but leo still hasn’t forgiven her. she tried really hard to get him to, but he didn’t.
*flash forward to after the blood of olympus, we’re in the burning maze*
- the entire quest to stop gaea, leo avoided piper and made snarky comments to stuff she said. she was devastated that he wouldn’t forgive her, but she stopped trying. she wouldn’t try so hard when he didn’t care.
- after he died, piper was even more broken because she thought he did hating her. then he came back and she was so relieved. he forgave her, but she could tell things wouldn’t change. just because he forgave her doesn’t mean he wanted her around.
- she accepted that and was just happy that he didn’t hate her guts.
- then the prophecy came that said jason or piper would die. this time things change, piper dies instead because she was trying to prove she wasn’t a traitor. not to anyone, but to herself.
- she tries attacking and dies, while jason lives. her last words were “i love you sparky. tell leo i’ll miss him. apollo, this wasn’t your fault. you’ll do great. i know you will” and she dies.
- when leo hears the news, he is devastated and becomes more broken if that was even possible. he couldn’t believe how rude and petty he had been to piper the entire time. and now she was gone, and he wasn’t able to say goodbye. he wasn’t able to change how things had been. and that absolutely tears him apart.

Percy Jackson & The Avengers: Convergence - some badass demigod training!!
Hello, and welcome back to...my horrible explanation for being absent! Coming up on this episode, you'll see me explain that I had my first 2 lacrosse games of the season and was left with bruised ribs. If anyone ever says that women's lax isn't a real sport cuz there isn't contact, you can tell them that someone from a fanfic website said they had bruised ribs from playing.
Anyway, I hope you like this chapter. We're starting to get some actual plot movement I think so have fun with that. Honestly, I kinda forgot what happened in here so...yeah. Please comment, like, follow, and reblog! Stay safe & happy reading!
- your author
Ω ♆ Ω
Percy and Annabeth woke up to the sound of a startled shout. Frank's startled shout, to be specific. They both shot up right away, their battle instincts kicking in, but Frank had seen enough.
"Seriously guys!? Again?" he exclaimed.
"Nothing happened!" Annabeth reassured, "We just fell asleep!"
"We did kiss a little," Percy muttered, and Annabeth shot him a death glare.
"Not. Helping," she whispered scathingly.
A sense of complete déjà vu washed over Percy. Except this time, the rest of the Seven were standing in the doorway, watching on with various amused expressions on their faces.
"Oh, this is perfect. Coach Hedge is gonna love this," Leo smiled in maniacal glee.
"No, Leo," Piper ordered, "You're not going to do that. Instead, we are going to get this meeting over with so I can get some sleep."
"Aw...you ruin all my fun!" he exclaimed.
"Someone's gotta do it when Calypso isn't here," Piper said.
It was true. Calypso and Piper are probably the only ones who could actually control Leo. Calypso because of Leo's fear of losing her or just general fear of her, and Piper because of her charmspeak.
"Ok! That's enough. We're getting sidetracked. We need to start this meeting." Jason clapped his hands to get everyone's attention.
He gave Percy a meaningful look; one which said to 'take it from here.' So Percy did.
"Um, well, Annabeth and I wanted to talk to you guys about what's been going on. We need to come to an agreement on what we are allowed to say and do with the Avengers. I don't think we should show them the full extent of our powers because it seemed like those spies were looking for a reason to lock us up," he started, "And I'm not particularly fond of being put in a cell. How about you?"
"Yeah. And we need to figure out a way to deal with the bombings without them figuring us out. The mortals seemed pretty Hades-bent on releasing the big secret, and that never bodes well for people like us. I know that we need their help, but I don't trust them." Annabeth said.
"We can just say we were born with the powers, and have no idea why. I mean, it's technically true," Jason offered.
The others all nodded in agreement.
"Ok, now what about the pattern? What is it?" Piper asked.
"All of the places are big parts of the Greek and Roman world. Brooklyn Bridge is near Manhattan, the home of the Gods, Portland: Mt. St. Helens, where Typon used to be held, LA: entrance to Hades, Long Island: Camp Half-blood, and San Francisco: Camp Jupiter," Annabeth answered.
"Woah," Jason whispered, shocked.
"Yeah, but that's not our biggest concern. We also need to figure out how to hide our identities from the world while we're fighting with the Avengers," Annabeth said.
Everyone else there hadn't even thought of that. It comes in real handy to have a daughter of Athena around sometimes. Ok, not sometimes, all the time. All of them would be really dead without her quick thinking and planning.
"Um, I could try to see if the Aphrodite cabin could cook something up?" Piper suggested, "But most of them are still getting used to fighting, so they won't really know what to make. They need help with the designs."
Leo shot up from where he had slumped down into the desk chair, "I can help! Well, the Hephaestus cabin can. We can help design it so it's battle-ready."
"Good. We'll need those soon, I think. I have a feeling that we're going to have a lead soon, so we need to be ready when it comes. This is just one quest, so there is no need for people to think we're some kind of superheroes," Annabeth said.
"Aw! But I already had a name picked out!" Leo exclaimed.
He looked like he was about to let them in on his superhero name, but Annabeth held up a hand with a glare that clearly said to not speak unless he wanted to lose some very important parts of him. That kept him quiet, for sure.
"Is that all?" Frank asked, towering over them all.
"For now, yes. Remember, say the absolute minimum and stick to twisting the truth. If you reveal any new information without the others knowing, call a meeting to let us know," Annabeth confirmed, nodding her head.
"Great, now I can go back to sleep," Percy said, pulling Annabeth back down with him.
The others filed out soon after that, already hearing Percy's soft snores as they left and returned to their respective rooms. Ok, so Jason and Piper stayed in the same room like Percy and Annabeth did, but nothing happened. It was just nice to be in the arms of someone who cares about you, you know?
Ω ♆ Ω
"Up and at 'em, kiddos! It's training day!" Tony gleefully exclaimed over the speakers that Percy was absolutely sure he did not see in his room.
Percy groaned when he saw what time it was: 6:00 AM. He knew he wasn't allowed to (and that it was wrong, of course), but he wanted to kill Tony so badly in that moment. It would be quick! Nobody would suffer!
But, alas, he had to actually work with the man-child. It might not come off like it, but Percy takes war very seriously, and this was starting to feel like a war. Or at least, it would become one if they didn't stop it soon. And to do that, they needed the Avengers, apparently.
That was the only reason that he followed Annabeth in getting up and ready for the day. He took a little longer than Annabeth, but at 6:30 AM, they were stepping out of his room. They saw that the others were slowly doing the same. They were all tired. There weren't any big dream incidents, but that doesn't mean that staying up until midnight and then waking up at six in the morning won't do something to you. Even Leo looked exhausted, with big puffy eyes from rubbing them in an attempt to wake himself up quicker. If Leo Valdez was tired, then you knew that it was too early for this.
Also, you have to remember that they'reteenagers. Teenagers aren't meant to be up super early- it's a scientific fact, Percy thinks. Annabeth once told him something about their melatonin not releasing until later at night, so they could stay up and sleep in later.
What? Percy pays attention to what she's saying sometimes.
"I hate Tony," Piper grumbled, practically falling asleep on Jason.
"You and us all, chica," Leo mumbled before letting out a huge yawn.
"What did he say was going on? Training?" Jason asked, looking over at Annabeth for answers because she seemed the most awake of the group.
"Yep. Training, whatever that entails. I don't know, so be prepared for anything. I really hope it has nothing to do with electronics, but knowing our luck, and how Tony has been so far, it will, so just try not to get too close," she answered.
Leo tiredly saluted her, "Yes, ma'm."
Hazel rolled her eyes, "Come on, Repair Boy."
She grabbed his arm and started leading the way towards the living room, which was their best guess at where the Avengers were.
As they were walking, they were interrupted by the disembodied voice of JARVIS, "Excuse me, but I was told to direct you to the training room, where the Avengers are currently assembled and waiting for you. Shall I proceed?"
All of the demigods were still really weirded-out by the AI, and there was no way it was ending soon. It's just a reminder that they were currently in a building basically composed entirely of technology, one of their greatest liabilities. Liabilities were a dangerous thing in their lives.
"Yes..." Percy answered hesitantly, unsure where to look.
"Then please follow the arrows projected on the ground, sir," JARVIS said.
Sure enough, there were large white arrows pointing them away from the living room, so they followed them. It was about a two minute walk to the elevators, where they were told to go to the 60th floor, which was apparently one whole training room by itself.
Ω ♆ Ω
"So let me get this straight, you guys want us to...play a video game?" Frank asked, gesturing to the giant room around them.
The Seven were quickly ushered by the Avengers into a big room with a bunch of white, padded tiles all around them as soon as they had reached the training floor. There was only a viewing window and an exit that disappeared when the door was closed. Then, Tony explained what they were going to be doing. None of them really understood it yet.
"No! I want you to fight the LMDs! The robots! They will simulate different levels of skill to evaluate your skills. Understand?" Tony punctuated each word, quickly losing any sense of patience he had started with.
"Yeah. We got it," Annabeth sighed.
Ok, she was sure she was the only one of them who realized that they were about to break one of the rules they established last night on the first day. They were about to fight robots. TECHNOLOGY.
This should go well, Annabeth thought.
Steve interrupted before Tony could make a snarky comment, "Good. We'll start with fighting separately and then together as a group. Afterwards, we'll see how you work with different weapons."
"Aye aye, Cap," Leo joked.
"Leo, focus. We're about to fight ROBOTS." Annabeth tried to get the son of Hephaestus to understand the severity of the situation. "You have a back-up plan, right?"
He could talk to machines. Robots were machines. Therefore, he should be able to get them out of this mess if anything went wrong.
He gave her a nod of understanding, and Annabeth settled back into her natural stance rather than her tense one. Well, she's always tensed for battle. At least in her natural one it's less obvious.
"Alright, who wants to go first?" Tony asked over the intercom.
"Uncle Leo will go first, right?" Percy joked, referencing to one of Leo's favorite nicknames for himself.
"Sure! I just need to know how much damage I'm allowed to do," Leo said, looking up at the Avengers.
Annabeth was shocked that he had even thought to ask that, and apparently the Avengers were, too.
"Um, just let go. There's nothing you can do to break this room. I designed it myself," Tony answered, still arrogant even through his confusion.
"Come on out, the rest of you," Natasha instructed.
Once the rest of the demigods had exited the room and stood next to the Avengers at the viewing window, Tony pressed a button on a screen that made a compartment in the walls of the room open up, revealing a row of floating LMDs.
"Now, I'm going to start you at Level 2, okay? It gets harder as you move up. The LMDs should stay the same form throughout every level, though. Ready?" Tony said.
Leo pulled his war hammer from his magical toolbelt and lit it and his arms on fire, "Ready."
Tony had to shake himself out of his shock before he pressed the start button, but when he did, every one of the mortal heroes had sat on the edge of their metaphorical seats, eager to see just how powerful these kids could be.
Plus, the kid had just pulled a giant war hammer from his normally-sized toolbelt, and then proceeded to light himself and the hammer on fire. They were bound to be curious after that display.
They knew the very basics of the young heroes' abilities, but most of that stuff was based on just what they had been told. Actual, visible proof is what they wanted.
All at once, the LMDs transformed into the Avengers minus the Hulk. Repeat, they changed into the Avengers. Leo had to fight a copy of the Avengers, alone.
Percy was freaking out inside. Sure, he trusted his friend, but Leo was a joker, and he tended to not understand how serious things were. In this case, he hoped that didn't happen.
"This should be interesting," Natasha remarked.
"No, this should be terrible. Tony, you never told me you were using this setting," Bruce said, rushing up to the other scientist, "He's just a kid."
"I think they've made it clear they aren't just kids, Jolly Green. It's fine. If they wanted to be treated like the rest of us, then they need to pass this test," Tony said.
Bruce looked like he wanted to say a lot more, but Jason stepped up to stop him, "He'll be fine, Dr. Banner. Leo may not look it, but he's powerful and he's smart. He can handle this."
Jason looked so sure of himself that it was enough to convince the doctor that it would be okay.
In truth, Jason had no idea how this program worked. There was a good chance that Leo did not, in fact, have this handled.
While this was being discussed, Leo had already started to fight the Iron Man LMD. He was currently alternating between swinging his hammer at it and firing balls of fire. The LMD had only been hit a couple of times because it kept maneuvering around the attacks by flying away.
It was getting tiresome, and Leo wanted it to be over with. So, he dropped his hammer and set a determined look on his face, glaring up at the robot.
The Seven were grinning, already figuring out what was happening, while the Avengers were just plain confused. What was the kid gonna do? Glare them to death?
Then, Leo started grinning and they knew it was all over.
He crouched down onto the ground and placed a hand on the floor, closing his eyes in concentration. The LMDs seemed to be as confused as their originals.
Three seconds passed before Leo's grin grew even more, and then he spoke a single word, "Stop."
And they did. Every single LMD lost their form and fell to the ground, limp and unmoving. Leo stood up, dusted his pants off, and turned to the viewing window to see his teammate's reactions.
They were priceless.
"That's how you do it," he said, "Am I done?"
Tony literally shook himself out of his stupor, "Yeah, sure. I need to reboot the LMDs."
When Leo came through the door, the rest of the demigods crowded him, patting him on the back and laughing at his dramatics.
"What was that?" Natasha demanded, breaking through the teens to tower over Leo's elf-like form.
Okay, maybe tower isn't the right word. She was taller than him, but not by much. Natasha was just very intimidating.
"Uh...fighting?" Leo tried.
Natasha's glare hardened, "You know that's not what I mean. What did you do to make the LMDs stop attacking?"
Leo glanced at Annabeth, who nodded in consent, "I talked to them."
"You did what?!" Tony exclaimed.
"I talked to them. They were pretty boring, to be honest, but I was able to shut them down," he answered.
Tony let out an incredulous laugh, "That's not possible! You can't just TALK to machines!"
"He can, and he did," Piper said, smiling proudly at her best friend.
"But–" Tony's voice died out.
"How come you never told us of this ability?" Natasha asked.
"You never asked," Percy answered simply, not liking her interrogatory tone at all.
The spy looked like she wanted to continue the conversation, but Clint whispered something in her ear and she stepped back with one last glare.
"Welp! That was fun! Who's next?" Tony clapped his hands.
Everyone turned to see that he had gotten the LMDs back online and back in the Avengers' form.
Piper sighed and started to walk to the door, "I guess I'll go next."
Before she could enter, Steve asked, "What weapon are you going to use? Your powers won't work on the robots."
Piper smirked at him over her shoulder before pulling Katoptris from its sheath on her thigh. Apparently, the Avengers had yet to fully break through the Mist, and they could not see her having that strapped there this entire time. But when she pulled it out, they seemed to finally be able to see it for what it truly was. It makes you wonder what they thought was there before. A ruler, maybe?
"I've got this," she stated before slipping into the training room.
Ω ♆ Ω
It was obvious Piper had been taking more lessons on dagger-fighting with Annabeth. As soon as the first person attacked, she was slashing and stabbing like crazy. Her lithe form was swisting out of the way of punches from Steve's copy, while Clint's arrows were shooting at her from behind.
Tony had clearly upped the level of difficulty after seeing what Leo could do.
Piper ducked under one of the arrows, and then shot back up to land a finishing blow to the center of LMD-Steve's chest. Then, she ripped Katoptris out of the robot and turned to throw it at Clint's copy, which just barely managed to avoid getting stabbed.
She was running on pure adrenaline now. It was best to imagine these opponents as monsters. Sure, when they actually fought humans, they would need to not kill, but these were just robots.
Cilnt's robot shot it's last arrow, and it exploded right before her face, stunning her into stillness. In that couple of seconds it took for her to recenter herself, Natasha's copy jumped onto her back for a chokehold. Piper struggled, but the LMD had been designed to know all of Natasha's known skills, and it was working. The Iron Man LMD landed and shot a stunning shot at her chest: the final straw for Piper to finally surrender.
She knew they wouldn't kill her, but she was not in the mood to be knocked-out. It left you with a massive headache.
So she tapped out.
"Ok ok, I'm done. I'm done," She panted as she was released, rubbing her neck.
Piper was not happy about having to surrender, but it seemed like the Avengers had been thoroughly impressed with her skill with such a small weapon.
"I'll do next," Annabeth declared, high-fiving Piper on her way out.
"Good luck," Piper said.
"Don't need it," Annabeth responded, pulling out her drakon-bone sword.
Out in the control room, Tony said, "Is that a bone?!"
"It's whatever you want it to be," Hazel grinned, manipulating the Mist just a bit.
"You scare me sometimes, Miss Metal Detector," Leo muttered, glancing at Annabeth's sword, which had shifted into a machete.
He wasn't sure whether to be impressed by Hazel's skill, or weirded-out by Tony's brain.
"Make sure to move to difficulty up a bit," Percy told Tony, "She'll be insulted otherwise."
The billionaire seemed to be getting used to the teens' weird ways because he didn't even flinch when he heard that, and instead moved to comply.
"And...here we go," Tony said over the intercom, "Good luck, Annie."
"My name is Annabeth!" she shouted before going into the fight.
In this level, every single one of them attacked at once. Annabeth back-bended under Steve's copy's punch, and then kicked up into LMD-Natasha's face. After, she turned and sliced the Iron Man armor on the side, just under the armpit. She had picked that as a point of weakness before she had even stepped into the building.
"She's good," Natasha relented, watching as the daughter of Athena thrusted her sword into Steve's robot foot.
Seeing that Clint's LMD copy was not going to get any closer to her, Annabeth pulled out a hidden dagger and threw it in a perfect line to hit it in the center of its forehead. Then, she turned and blocked a punch from Natasha's robot, who had recovered from the face-hit. The spy copy used the Iron Man LMD to jump up and wrap her legs around Annabeth's neck, trying to do a scissor hold, which failed because Annabeth rolled forward, slamming Natasha's head into the ground. The left a big enough dent that the LMD wasn't getting back up.
That only left Iron Man to deal with.
She settled into a fighting stance, but didn't attack, choosing to wait for her opponent to make the first blow.
Percy was grinning. This was what they needed: a good way to blow off steam without it possibly ending with one of them dead.
"What is she waiting for?" Steve asked.
"She's playing with it. It's fun for her," Jason answered, "It's Annabeth."
Finally, the robot got impatient and attacked. It sent a stun blast at her, which Annabeth quickly avoided. After, she ran up to the wall, kicked off of it, and jumped up to drag the Iron Man LMD down to the ground, where she sat down on it and landed a few punches. But she quickly realized punching wasn't doing much good.
"Judo flip! Do the judo flip!" Leo exclaimed, jumping up and down in excitement.
When it wasn't him being the one attacked by Annabeth, it was super entertaining.
Annabeth sighed, but a smile was pulling at the edges of her lips. She hauled Iron Man up, who was still recovering from being slammed down to the ground, and got a good hold on it's arm. Then, she flipped it over her shoulder with an ease that only came from years of experience.
With a huge smile on her lips, and a last glance at her carnage, Annabeth walked back out to the control room.
"How was that for a kid?" She asked Natasha.
"Not bad," she got for an answer.
Ω ♆ Ω
Jason, Hazel, and Frank's individual tests went-by pretty quickly. Jason electrocuted all of the robots, rendering them immobile.
After that, and with another new batch of LMDs, Hazel used her Spatha to slice and cut through the robots. In the end, it proved too hard for her to do it with just a sword, so she pulled a chunk of the wall out and smashed it against the LMDs until they were in many different pieces.
Frank ended up having to forfeit, but not before getting every single Avengers copy but Steve down. Steve ended up having him in a chokehold that was just too difficult to get out of. And Frank had already transformed into many animals, so he wasn't sure if he could've changed back if he had transformed again.
If it wasn't obvious, Percy was avoiding doing his turn. He was trying to stay in the corner, and out of the notice of any of the adults. However, that wasn't possible with two spies in the room. They notice everything.
"Percy? Your turn," Natasha said.
So much for that plan.
Percy hesitated, "Um...about that, I don't think I should go."
Natasha raised her eyebrows in mock-surprise, but it was actually Steve who spoke, "You have to go, son. In order to work well together, we need to know each other's strengths and weaknesses. This will never work without you doing this."
"Plus, we promise it's completely safe," Bruce added in.
Percy sighed, admitting that he wasn't going to be able to worm his way out of this one. Instead of fighting, he turned to whisper to Annabeth, "Don't let me get out of control."
Annabeth gave him a sad look, "Percy, I know you have control. I trust you. You just need to trust yourself. You would never hurt us. I know that for certain."
The Avengers were watching this interaction like hawks, but the other demigods were averting their attention. This happened sometimes, Percy and Annabeth going into their own world that only they could understand, and it was best to just let them be. Plus, privacy is a real thing people. The moment seemed almost too intimate for them to interrupt.
Percy still seemed to be having trouble believing Annabeth's statements, but he went into the training room without another protest. His shoulders were sagging in defeat, and he seemed to be folding in on himself. He was never one for attention, but that was a bit much in Leo's mind.
However, Leo and the rest of the Seven didn't have a full grasp on just how uncomfortable Percy as with using his powers now. They didn't know what happened in "that place."
"Are you ready, Percy?" Tony asked, readying the LMDs again.
"Yeah, I guess," Percy answered.
Annabeth was rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet, "Just breathe, Perce," she whispered under her breath, "You can do this."
She had to put on a brave face for her boyfriend, but she truly was terrified of Percy's potential. She had seen it first-hand in their trip underground, and it was nothing to be underestimated. The Avengers didn't know what powers they were playing with here. She only hoped that her insistent trust she was putting in Percy was going to amount to truth.
"We'll start you on Level 5? Based on what your friends can do, I think this will be a good start," Steve asked.
"Sure," Percy responded, bringing Riptide from his pocket.
"What's he going to do with a pen?" Bruce whispered to Clint.
The Seven all smiled at each other. Little did the mortals know, that pen was definitely not just a pen. It was always amusing when people saw what Riptide truly was for the first time.
"Alright. Here we go," Tony said, starting the simulation.
Percy closed his eyes, inhaled, exhaled, and popped the cap off of his pen. Opening his eyes, you could tell something had shifted in him. He was in his natural element now, and nobody could stop him from achieving his goal.
That goal just so happened to be mutilating some billionaire's robots.
"Let's have some fun," Percy said, charging the first LMD.
He was a flurry of motion. His fighting style was a mix from Greek, Roman, and modern martial arts that he had learned from Annabeth. He'd kick one adversary just to turn and thrust his sword into another one trying to attack him from behind.
"He's amazing," Bruce said in wonder, mesmerized by Percy's skill.
The son of Poseidon was relying only on his hand-to-hand and swordsmanship skills, rather than his powers, but that barely slowed him down. If the mortals wanted a display of his competence, then he would give them one.
Annabeth had a proud smile on her face as she watched Percy judo flip Natasha's robot over his shoulder and slammed it hard enough to the ground that it "died," ending his fight.
That had gone well, considering Percy's worries.
However, he knew better than to let his guard down just yet. As all demigods know, life never gives any breaks. That, and the Fates are cruel.
Ω ♆ Ω
"Ok, guys. Let's take a lunch break, and then we'll do some more training, but this time, with only abilities," Steve said.
Percy had put his sword away, and was not standing in the viewing room with the rest of the heroes, mortal and demigod alike. All of the teens looked and felt exhausted, so it was a given to take a break.
"Got it, boss," Leo saluted, turning and exiting the room, heading no doubt in the direction of the kitchen.
"I guess that means we're leaving," Percy laughed. A real, genuine laugh.
It made Annabeth smile larger than she had in a long time. Improvement is always good.
Soon, everyone was gathered around the kitchen and living room area. Percy and Leo were scavenging for food while the Avengers and the rest of the Seven talked. So far, the hunt was not going as planned.
"Tony! Are you seriously telling me you're a billionaire, and you can't afford some decent Cheerios?!" Percy yelled.
"Yeah! Who goes grocery shopping around here?" Leo exclaimed, holding up the near-empty jug of milk.
The Avengers all looked at each other in confusion, "Who DOES go grocery shopping?" Bruce asked.
"Pepper, sometimes, I think. She must've been busy this week," Tony answered, "We can just order some Chinese or something for now."
"That should work, but if you're going to house these boys," Annabeth pointed to Percy, Leo, Jason, and Frank, "You're going to need a lot more food around at all times. Their appetites could rival that of an elephant."
Hazel let out a tiny laugh, realizing Annabeth's little pun about Frank. She received a small smirk in response.
"Teenagers," Tony muttered, rolling his eyes, "Always hungry."
"Now wait a second, Tony, I remember seeing you eat an entire large pizza by yourself just a couple weeks ago," Natasha remarked, smirking at her teammate.
Tony only glared in response, and then he told JARVIS to order lunch.
"Well, while we're waiting, I'll explain what our next exercise is," Steve said, "Basically, we're going to see and document your powers, but in a more controlled environment. You won't be fighting anything, but this will be more focused on precision than quantity. We need to know your full capabilities so that we know where to put you in a fight. Is that okay?"
He was asking their permission as more of a courtesy than an actual question, obviously, but the demigods still nodded their heads in confirmation. It wasn't like they couldn't leave at any time if things ever got too out-of-control.
Or at least, that's what they told themselves. In all honesty, nobody trusted each other yet. They could be shot down by the Avengers if they tried to run away, for all they knew, and that's what the scariest thing was. Neither group really KNEW the other group's intentions, only what they had told each other.
Everyone was walking on thin ice, whether it was known to them or not.

I hope you liked it! Remember, this is also on FF, Ao3, Inkitt, Webnovel, and Wattpad.

ok but how powerful and dramatic could the impact have been if piper did betray leo and jason up on Mount Diablo to save her dad
*just imagine this*
- jason, leo, and piper fighting the battles up on Mount Diablo. she sees all of the struggling and finally can't take it anymore
- she yells "OK FINE! I'll do what you want just promise that my dad will be okay!" to the giant. he laughs loudly and stops fighting Jason.
- while he's making his way towards to her she looks at her friends and their thoughts are clear. they think she's trying to trick him. but that's not it.
- she looks up at the giant in front of her and he says "prove you're not lying. fight your friends and bring them to me". she nods sadly and faces her friends who had made their way to her. they gave her quick smiles and got in lazy fighting stances.
- she immediately charges at them with Katoptris and fights like a demon. at first they laugh a little and barely try fighting back.
- jason is a little worried but doesn't think much of it because he thinks she's just trying to make it believable. until she slashes at them and cuts Leo's arm. pain flared up his forearm and when he looked at piper he realized she wasn't tricking the giant. she was betraying them
- jason knew too and that surprised him more than he wanted to admit. at this point he knew that he really liked piper and didn't want to accept the facts.
- leo was trying to throw fireballs but the pain on his arm distracted him. jason was really shocked and that distracted him. not only that, but his feelings toward piper made him not want to fight back. he knew he could hurt her if he wanted to and make it out, but he didn't want to.
- jason thought that leo didn't try fighting back because he was hurt, but it wasn't just physical pain. it was emotional pain that affected him too.
- piper was Leo's only real friend. sure jason was there too, but in reality they didn't know each other. their friendship was fake, but his and Piper's friendship was real.
- he hated to think that she had brought them all this way, that they had done so many things together, only for her to betray him and leave him in the end.
- they had been through so much together, so much that Leo and Jason couldn't believe she was acting like this.
- once they were in too bad of a shape to fight, enceladus grabbed both of them and tied them to stakes, just liked he had done to Piper's dad.
- the giant lifted Piper's father stake and put it next to her so she could free him. she untied him while the giant laughed and spoke.
- "you McLean are much more useful on our side. i mean to betray your own friends, it takes something dark to do that" he said happily.
- pipers eyes stung with tears as she finished freeing her dad. she was a monster. her friends had done so much for her, and she just betrayed them.
- once they were out of sight and headed down the mountain, piper went to enceladus. he was almost done getting his fire ready to eat them. he didn't see her. she was too small and he was too excited.
- she stabbed him in the leg and he roared in pain. with a bit more fighting and pretty birds flying to distract him (no doubt from aphrodite trying to help) she defeated the giant.
- she freed her friend and they seemed confused. "i thought you were going to leave" jason told her.
- she would've lied and said it was part of a plan, but she owed it to them to tell them the truth. and so she did. how she really was going to betray them, but she couldn't bring herself to come through with it.
- jason forgave her after a few minutes of silence. but leo didn't. "you would've left me there if it was just us. you only changed your mind because you're in love with jason"
- he didn't look her in the eye and before she could deny it and say they were friends, he walked away to find coach hedge and her dad.
- they completed their quest, but leo still hasn't forgiven her. she tried really hard to get him to, but he didn't.
*flash forward to after the blood of olympus, we're in the burning maze*
- the entire quest to stop gaea, leo avoided piper and made snarky comments to stuff she said. she was devastated that he wouldn't forgive her, but she stopped trying. she wouldn't try so hard when he didn't care.
- after he died, piper was even more broken because she thought he died hating her. then he came back and she was so relieved. he forgave her, but she could tell things wouldn't change. just because he forgave her doesn't mean he wanted her around
- she accepted that and was just happy that he didn't hate her guts.
- then the prophecy came that said jason or piper would die. this time things change, piper dies instead because she was trying to prove she wasn't a traitor. not to anyone, but to herself.
- she tries attacking and dies, while jason lives. her last words were "i love you sparky. tell leo I'll miss him. apollo, this wasn't your fault. you'll do great. i know you will" and she dies.
- when leo hears the news, he is devasted and became more broken if that was even possible. he couldn't believe how rude and petty he had been to piper the entire time. and now she was gone, and he wasn't able to say goodbye. he wasn't able to change how things had been. and that absolutely tears him apart.

Empires on the Horizon V
Jason is a CEO: Part V
Here’s my masterlist for the next part and my other stuff
Tumblr media
But the most beautiful things in life are just not things.
They’re people and places, memories and pictures.
They’re feeling and moments and smiles and laughter.
-unknown
“Charles Beckendorf,” Jason answered the phone with a smile, “To what do I owe the pleasure?”
“Hello Grace, how are you?”
“Absolutely wonderful,” And he was, he hadn’t felt so calm in a long time. “What can I do for you my friend?”
“I need your help with the wedding. I’m planning an outdoor structure with video screenings of all our favourite memories and you have two things that’ll make my dreams come true.”
“Anything for you Charlie.”
“The gorgeous meadow on the far side of town, you own that right?”
“Yep, you want to set up shop there?”
“Yes please,” His eagerness carried through the phone, “And can you send me any pictures or videos you have of us so I can add it to the slideshow.”
“Of course, is that all?”
He could hear the excitement in his friend’s voice, “That’s it, unless you know anyone who’s willing to look after the shop while we’re on honeymoon?”
“I can’t say I do but I can ask Hazel to hire a temp if you want?”
“I’ll suggest it to the ladies and tell them to get back to you.”
“Sounds great, and good-luck with the project. I’m excited for the wedding.”
“Me too man, me too. It’s still surreal to me that I’m getting married to my best friends.”
“You deserve the world Charlie.”
“No way, I am crazy emotional these days.” He sniffled.
Jason laughed, “You’re always emotional Beckendorf.”
“Screw you,” He snorted, “See you soon, and thank you again.”
“Bye man, have a good one.”
He ended the call with a smile. It was unbelievable to think he would be going to his friends’ wedding in a couple months. Just the other day he was sitting in a lecture hall laughing at Beckendorf’s impersonation of their business lecturer. Just the other day he was helping Silena and Drew paint the walls of their boutique. It was strange to face the reality that they were all grown up now– moving on with their lives, living them.
“Ready to go Boss?” Hazel’s head popped around the door.
“Yep, you have the files?”
“All in the room already, anything else we need?”
“Maybe some coffee and a miracle?”
“Unfortunately I can only provide one of those things, and it’s not the helpful one.” She gave him an apologetic look.
“Well I guess wish me luck then,”
“You don’t need it Boss, you’re gonna kill it today.”
“What would I do without you Miss Levesque?” He sighed gratefully, walking to the elevator.
“Forget which day of the week it is, and which shoe goes on which foot,” She grinned.
“Hey, the shoe thing was one time.”
“That only works if you’re a toddler, not a grown man.”
“No excuse for the elderly then?”
She shook her head solemnly, “None I’m afraid.”
The elevator doors slid open.
“Meeting Room A5.”
“Let’s do this.” He took a deep breath and pushed the glass door.
“Hello Jason Grace,”
“Hello Octavian.”
Jason always felt some level of life seep out the room when he me with the head of Titan Industries. The man felt…synthetic; chalk white hair gelled down flat and calculating pale blue eyes that missed nothing. Gods even his skin looked unnatural, pasty and veined.
He reached out a small, bony hand in greeting.
“You look as incredible as ever Miss Levesque,” He lifted her hand to his mouth.
She gave him a tight-lipped smile, “Octavian.”
He didn’t seem to notice, or care for her discomfort and simply turned to Jason.
“So,” They sat down, “Have we come to some agreement?”
“With all due respect Octavian I don’t feel this contract is justified.” He glanced between the man and the folder.
There was silence, as if he were waiting for Jason to continue but two could play at this game. He was not willing to be taken for a fool, fumbling over himself to bow to this man’s whims. So he met those cunning eyes, a smile playing at his lips. The only sound was the scratch of Hazel’s pencil as she set up her notes for the meeting.
Moments passed, frozen in time, and then a sigh, “What can I do to ease your concerns?”
He struggled to reel in a smug expression. “Let’s start with the supply times.”
And they went back and forth, pulling and pushing, cunning and stead-fast, a fox and a wolf. Two hours later the contract had been amended to both their liking and they were once again shaking hands.
“I will ask my assistant to send over the revised contract, once my lawyer has looked over it.”
“I will do the same. Thanks for the meeting.” He guided the door open and waited for his guest to move through it.
“Until then, Grace.”
Without waiting for a reply Octavian snapped at his bodyguard and they disappeared down the passage.
“How do you feel about this?”
“There’s something not quite right Hazel, I just can’t figure out his angle.”
“Fully agree,” She shuddered, “He gives me the creeps.”
“Have you managed to find anyone else that could potentially take over this project?”
“Not yet Boss but you will be the first to know when I do.”
“Thanks Levesque, you truly are my saviour.” He gave her a grateful smile.
“Better put that on my gravestone,” She raised a brow.
“Done,” He laughed, “Any other requests?”
“Let’s get subs for lunch. I could do with some bread.”
He shook his head in amusement, “You drive a hard bargain but I’m willing to sacrifice for you.”
“Oh what was your plan Mr big-shot?” She pushed open the door to their offices.
“Today is burrito-bowl day and you know it.”
“I did forget,” She scrunched her nose, “But I’m extra grateful now.”
He snorted at her, ready to give a snarky remark before he was cut off by the shrill ring of his cell phone.
“Talk to me.”
“What’s up Grace, how’s your lunch hour looking?” Leo Valdez greeted.
“Levesque and I are going to get subs at Garden Girl, want to join?”
“I’ll meet you there.” And then he was gone.
“Ever the efficient caller isn’t he,” Hazel chuckled.
“Most days, which is weird since he’s a rambler face-to-face.”
They got to the contemporary restaurant on eighty-fifth avenue, spotting Leo outside.
“Hello,” His smile was wide as he hugged them.
“Who decided to give you a break? Don’t you have lectures right now?”
“Nah,” He grinned, “Guest lecturer teaching my slot this week, so I got two hours free.”
“The beauty of teaching postgrad, I assume?” Hazel asked.
“You know it Levesque!”
“What are we getting?”
“Don’t know about you but I’m getting the ‘Jazz It Up’ sub, got to stick to my New Orleans heritage.”
“Good afternoon my favourite customers? Where’s the rest of the crew?”
Jason smiled brightly, “Hello Katie.”
“Annabeth is at work, she has some big contract finally closing up,” Leo said by way of greeting.
“Frank is doing the security rounds at the office,” Hazel offered.
“Thalia isn’t even in the country right now.” He shrugged
“There’s still someone missing,” She frowned, scanning their faces, “Piper! Where’s the pretty lady?”
“Oh,” Leo winced, “Yea that is a touchy subject.”
Katie gave them a sympathetic look, “Well what can I help you with today? The usual for you Haze?”
They all rattled off their orders and chatted with the owner of Garden Girl while they waited. Jason had met Katie when he was doing business courses for his urban and regional planning degree. Her forest green eyes and bright smile struck him stupid the first time he saw her in their Entrepreneurship and Business Management lecture. He never had the guts to make a move, but it didn’t matter because she had just entered a relationship with Travis Stoll. Now they’re married and expecting a child, as is the latest update.
“How’s Project Hestia going Grace?” Leo asked, pulling out a chair.
“Ugh I’m having a hard time with the outdoor center. I’m not gelling with the contractor, and I don’t know what to do,” He scrubbed a hand down his face.
“I know I can’t ask what exactly is wrong because of legal reasons but what do you need done?”
He motioned to Hazel to explain as he bit into his sub.
“Basically we want to create an outdoor recreation center for the community which includes a gym area, a kids’ area, movies, a park and picnic area, rock climbing, you know the usual.”
“Right that shouldn’t be too hard to draft up,” Dark eyebrows scrunched, “But this guy is what? Trying to fuck you over?”
“Essentially,” Jason nodded, “The problem is we don’t know how?”
“Okay give me the weekend and let me call up some people. I think I know someone who can help.”
His eyes widened, “You are literally the best friend in the entire world. We’ve been looking for weeks, and we haven’t found anyone else who specialises in this.”
Leo squeezed his hand, “I’m not letting you get screwed over, and my buddy would be more than happy to do it.”
“What’s his name?” Hazel had her phone out, the notes app open.
“Harley, he’s was the youngest kid in our engineering course. I think he graduated with his masters when he was like twenty,”
Jason choked, “What?”
“The kid is incredible. He beat us regularly in our weekly electrotech competitions.”
“Well tell him to give us a call and I’ll set up a meeting with Jason next week. We have until next Friday before we sign contracts with Titan.”
“Sounds good,” Leo plucked a pen he kept behind his ear and scribbled something on his hand, “So Jase,” His grin was trouble.
The blonde narrowed his eyes, preparing himself for trouble.
“What happened with you and Percy? Last I heard you were going on a date on Tuesday and then getting married.”
It was Hazel’s turn to choke, and after she recovered smacked her boss on the shoulder, glaring as if to say what the hell did you not tell me?
He rolled his eyes at his best friend, “I didn’t even get his number because I left so abruptly. And anyway I hear he’s dating Reyna now.”
Leo’s hickory eyes widened, “He’s what?”
“Yea I went by the school about a month ago and Nico told me they were dating.”
“How do they even know each other?”
“They met at the school. She was visiting Nico and he was wanted to become a sponsor cause he used to go there.”
“Yea sounds about right, he’s crazy nice.” Leo nodded
“How have I never met him before the dinner?”
“He moves around a lot,” Leo shrugged, “I’ve only met him a handful of times because whenever he’s here he makes a point to visit Annabeth.”
“Well he sounds like an angel,” His assistant mused.
“Looks like one too,” He muttered, “It’s okay anyway cause I uh–“ He scratched the back of his neck.
“Oh my gods,” Hazel’s earthy eyes glittered, “You met someone!”
Leo clapped his hands, a smile as bright as the sun on his face, “Who are they?”
“We’ve been on one date so no making a big deal about it.” He gave them a pointed look, “But Thalia set us up and she’s… wow.”
“Oh you are real caught up, aren’t you?” They raised twin brows at him.
“She’s just indescribable. She’s gorgeous and that’s the least impressive thing about her.”
“Well tell us everything.” Hazel prodded.
“Okay she’s a vet. She has four sisters, but she doesn’t talk to them much. She believes in order, oh it’s glorious. Everything in its space and a plan for everything.” He looked at Leo then, to which his friend flipped him off and then motioned for him to continue.
“She eventually wants to open her own animal clinic. And most importantly she gets along with Thalia.”
“She sounds like a dream Jase,” Hazel squeezed his shoulder, “I’m really happy for you.”
Leo nodded, eyes bright with love, “You deserve some happiness bud.”
“Thank you guys,” He found it hard to breathe as the overwhelming gratitude he felt for his friends swept through his body.
“Valdez, you’re going to the lake cabins in a couple weeks, right?”
“Oh yep,” Leo wiggled his eyebrows, “And guess what?”
“You are not!” He yelled, and then lowered his voice, “You are lying to me right now.”
“Oh gods,” Hazel caught on, “Are you ready? No wait of course you’re ready! When, how, what?”
“I bought the ring a couple weeks ago. We’ve been talking about it for a few months and this just feels like the right time.”
Jason whistled, “My best friends are finally getting married.”
“Oh gods I hope she says yes,” Leo looked a little sick all of a sudden.
“Of course she’s going to say yes. You guys have been inseparable since that first maths lecture when we all went to the wrong class.”
“There’s no way she turns you down, I’ve seen the way you look at each other.” Hazel agreed.
“The way we look at each other?” Leo frowned at her, confusion evident in his face.
“Like you’re the only ones in the room. Like she is the match and you are the striker.”
Jason nodded, “The moment you two locked eyes at the bonfire it was like the universe threaded two strands through the same needle.”
“Well now I’m emotional and feeling much more confident about it.”
They laughed then, getting up to hug each other. Jason felt the world settle, still, slow. The wind whispered softly, and beams of sun caught between them. If nothing else he had this, and he would hold onto it until his bones were dust and his soul was a star once more.

PJO/HoO Characters as Bad Jokes
Percy: Why do seagulls live by the sea? Because if they lived by the bay they'd be bagels.
Annabeth: An American couple was visiting the Soviet Union in the 1960s, and as they were walking around the wife said, "Honey, I think it's snowing." Her husband said, "No, dear, I think it's raining." To settle their debate, they went over to a Soviet guard. The man introduced himself, and the guard told them his name was Rudolf. The husband asked Rudolf if it was snowing or raining, and the guard told him "It's raining." So the husband turns to his wife and says: "See, Rudolf the red knows rain, dear."
Grover: What do Christmas and a cat in the desert have in common? Sandy Claws.
Thalia: A lot of people were shocked when they found I wasn't a good electrician.
Nico: What do you call a fake noodle? An im-pasta!
Clarisse: Two fish are in a tank, and one fish says to the other fish: "Do you know how to drive this thing?"
Luke: What do you call a snarky criminal going down the stairs? A condescending con descending.
Piper: This girl said she knew me from the vegetarian club, but I'm pretty sure I've never seen herbivore.
Jason: These two Crimean War Vets were sitting in a bar swapping old war stories, and one general says: "So there I was, down in the bush, and right in front of me was this massive tiger. The tiger lunged at me and went ROAR, and I shit myself." And the other general said: "Well of course you did old chap, it was a massive tiger." And the first general said, "No, just now when I went ROAR"
Leo: How do you kill an elephant? With an elephant gun. How do you kill a red elephant? With a red elephant gun. How do you kill a blue elephant? You choke it until it's blue and then you shoot it with a red elephant gun. How do you kill a green elephant? You don't, because there's no such thing as a green elephant.
Frank: Why did the cowboy get a wiener dog? Because somebody told him to get a long little doggy.
Hazel: What did the shy pebble wish? Just that she was a little boulder.
Reyna: A Roman walks into a bar, holds up two fingers, and says: "Five beers please."
Will: This ancient Greek playwright got a rip in his tunic, so he brought it to his tailor, and his tailor said: "Euripides?" and the playwright said, "Yeah, Eumenides?"

Forever Starts Today (Epilogue)
Extras:
Infirmary Duties
Fandom: Percy Jackson
Pairing: Nico di Angelo/Will Solace
Nico has spent so much of his life fixating on his past. Now that Will's been in his life for so long, it's finally time for Nico to start focussing on his future.
He knows exactly how to start.
Word Count: 4383
Read the whole series on AO3
Nico smiled fondly as Percy clumsily dipped Annabeth in the middle of the floor. She attempted to scold him but couldn’t contain her laughter enough to do so properly. Nico had never seen her look as radiant as she did in her white dress trimmed with silver, her embroidered wedding train flowing out around the dancing couple from where it was attached into her curled up-do.
She wasn’t the only one looking radiant- Percy was dressed in a deep blue suit with a turquoise tie and grey flowers attached to his lapel. His hair was looking surprisingly tame, too, and Nico knew Sally Jackson was to thank for that. He looked ridiculously handsome and the bright smile added to his features just completed the look. Nico grinned at the sight. Two of his best friends had just gotten married and not a single monster had attacked the wedding. It was perfect.
“You’re looking uncharacteristically happy,” a familiar, snarky voice spoke besides Nico. He turned his head to the side and rolled his eyes at Reyna. She was dressed in deep plum robes and carried a champagne flute in her hand with an air of grace.
“They’ve both been through so much. I’m allowed to be happy that they’re happy- they deserve this,” Nico pointed out.
“Wise words, di Angelo. Who turned you into Socrates?” Reyna responded with a smirk. Nico elbowed her gently.
“Don’t bully me, I’m trying to be a better person,” he complained. Reyna let out a laugh at that.
“You were fine as the grumpy little emo we met you as,” she pointed out, ruffling his hair.
“Oi,” Nico batted her hand away, “don’t touch the hair- Will spent half an hour getting it into a ponytail.”
“Oh, he likes a man in a bun, does he?” Reyna raised an eyebrow. Nico flushed bright red and tried hard to keep in his laughter.
“Stop it, he’s only over there, he’ll hear you!” he complained, snorting a little through his nose.
Reyna let out a laugh too and finally settled into a stool next to Nico. Her eyes scanned the hall, taking in the appearance of all their remaining friends. The years hadn’t gone by without losses- one of the most significant being one of Nico and Reyna’s best friends, Jason Grace. His sister was here today with a few other Hunters that Percy and Annabeth knew well from their years of cooperation with them.
Nico tried not to think about their losses too much. He knew if he dwelled on the dead more than the living, he’d find himself right back in the mental state he was in when he lost Bianca. That was a place he never wanted to go back to.
“Piper’s doing well,” Reyna pointed out. It was true, Nico noted, as he glanced across the room and saw that other couples had started to spill onto the dance floor now Percy and Annabeth’s first dance was over. Piper had invited the daughter of Demeter she was currently seeing onto the dance floor and the two girls were twirling around and smiling. It was good to see the dark bags that had resided under her eyes over the past few years were finally dissipating.
“You are, too,” Nico reminded Reyna. Piper and Reyna both had a very long history with Jason and Reyna had seemed to everyone as if she’d recovered quite quickly from his loss. Nico knew her better, though. He knew she was still hurting a lot even if she didn’t want her legion to see it.
Reyna shrugged.
“All wars have losses. They’re never losses we’re prepared to make but we have no choice but to move forwards from the consequences,” she commented.
“Who’s Socrates, now?” Nico teased. Reyna rolled her eyes and smiled, taking a drink of champagne.
“Enough about that,” she batted the topic aside, “weren’t you going to put your big plan into action tonight?”
Nico sighed.
“I was but then I found out the wedding date and didn’t want to encroach. I’m not sure I’ll have the confidence, anyway,” he shrugged. Reyna raised a pointed eyebrow at him.
“These are all just excuses because you’re nervous. Percy and Annabeth won’t think it’s any such thing. You said yourself- tonight would be perfect, right? I say you still go for it,” she encouraged.
“I mean, I do have it on me but what if he-“ Nico started to voice his concerns when a flash of blond appeared in his field of vision. It appeared Nico’s boyfriend had finished his conversation with Hazel and Frank.
“Care to dance, dashing fellow,” Will Solace announced, bowing in front of Nico’s chair and offering his hand out. Nico took a moment to take his appearance in. Will had gone for an unusual choice of wedding attire, selecting a brown waistcoat with matching fitted pants over a baby blue shirt with a royal blue bowtie tightened snugly around his neck to match Nico’s tie that he’d been forced to wear for the event. His impish smile added to the outfit, making him look cuter than ever.
Nico snorted out a laugh and grabbed Will’s hand, hopping down from his stool.
“I suppose I could be tempted, on one condition,” Nico shrugged his shoulders.
“And what condition may that be?” Will asked, flashing Nico a grin.
Nico smirked back and gripped Will’s hand a bit tighter. In one swift movement, Nico slipped off his stool and put his arm around Will’s back, pressing his palm into the small of Will’s back and pulling him close against his chest.
“I get to lead,” Nico smirked, looking directly up into Will’s blue eyes.
“Sure,” Will responded breathlessly, his cheeks flushed red. Nico internally fist-pumped. His one mission in life was to make Will blush as much as possible and he was surprisingly very good at it as of late.
“Honestly,” Nico heard Reyna mutter behind him as he dragged Will onto the dance floor. As the two began dancing, Nico wondered if maybe Reyna had been right and he should go ahead with his previous plans for tonight. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to, at all, it was just that he was… scared.
Nico pushed all thoughts of what he may or may not do that evening out of his head as Will leant down and whispered into Nico’s ear,
“Bets that Percy stands on Annabeth’s feet at least three times?”
Nico chuckled lowly underneath his breath as he spun Will around.
“Pretty sure I already saw him step on her toes four times. I reckon it will be eight times before she drags him off the dance floor,” he decided.
Will threw his head back a bit and laughed, capturing Nico’s full attention. Nico smiled at his boyfriend. He didn’t need to think about anything else with Will at his side.
Nico had sucked up all the courage he could muster and was going to do it. Reyna had given him the push he needed and he’d already texted Will to meet him at the top of Halfblood hill, just within the borders.
Whilst the new phones Leo had designed for them all were seemingly monster-proof, Nico still didn’t want to run any risks at all. Not tonight.
Now, here he was, pacing beside Thalia’s tree, half expecting the Lieutenant herself to appear and tell him to stop disturbing the soil above its roots.
No one did descend from the clouds, though, and Nico was left alone, waiting for Will. His boyfriend wasn’t late by any means- Nico didn’t think Will even could be late considering his promptness to every date the two had been on for the past six years- it was just that Nico was exceptionally early. His nerves had carried him to their meeting destination half an hour before the scheduled time.
Nico huffed out a laugh as he tried to dry the sweat on his hands using his jeans. He’d been dating Will for six whole years. It didn’t seem that long, really, although Nico also felt like someone could tell him he’d spent eternity with Will Solace and he wouldn’t argue. Still, six years was a long time for demigods when wars were seemingly around every corner.
The last few years had been relatively peaceful in comparison to the first few Nico spent outside the Lotus Casino. Nico was glad. He didn’t think he could cope with any more losses right now. He was still carrying the weight of all his other lost loved ones close to his chest, as were many of his other friends.
Will would be here soon, Nico noted, checking his watch for the twelfth time in the past ten minutes. He usually arrived at least ten minutes early so any second now, Nico would spot him walking up the hill.
Now that both of them had left Camp Halfblood, they lived in an apartment near Percy and Annabeth, near enough to both the mortal college Nico was attending and the hospital Will was interning at. Nico really didn’t understand how Will was still only an intern considering he’d had more medical experience than most doctors in the world and he was only twenty-one.
Nico still wasn’t entirely sure what he wanted to do with his life. Right now, he was very happy taking his degree in psychology. Nico had never imagined that he’d find himself attending school, never mind going on to college, but he’d found himself to actually enjoy the learning environment. Will was very proud of him too, not that that impacted his enjoyment of it in the slightest.
“Neeks, what’s got you looking so worried?” A soft voice startled Nico out of his thoughts as a hand encircled his wrist, gently. Nico stopped his pacing to come face to face with Will who had also changed out of his wedding attire, now sporting a light blue hoodie with a basketball shirt underneath. Nico nearly laughed out loud. Will didn’t even like basketball- especially with the number of arms he’d had to sew back on after particularly aggressive games at Camp Halfblood.
“I’m fine, don’t worry about it. Just- anxious to show you this, I suppose,” Nico wormed his way around the truth. Will considered him with analytical eyes as if he was a particularly complex branch of the nervous system in one of Will’s many anatomy books.
“Alright, I’ll believe you for now but you’d better not be lying, di Angelo,” he conceded, taking a hold of the sides of Nico’s corduroy jacket to tug him in a bit closer.
“Why would I lie to you?” Nico mumbled. Will smiled, clearly pleased with his response, and placed a gentle kiss on his lips.
“Aren’t you boiling in that jacket?” Will asked when he pulled away. Nico went red in the cheeks. He honestly was way too warm in the thick jacket intended for Winter. Despite the Spring breeze, it was just too heavy, but Nico had once been gifted the jacket by Will and he wasn’t about to take it off for tonight.
“A little, but it’s night and I run cold so I wanted to be prepared,” Nico argued. Will laughed and stroked the sunshine embroidered on the pocket that he’d sewn on himself.
“You, sir, are the biggest dork I know,” Will accused, “but-“ he continued when Nico tried to interject, “it just makes me love you even more.”
Will placed on arm over Nico’s shoulder and kissed the top of his head as Nico began to lead them higher up the hill for the perfect viewpoint.
“Now who’s the dork,” Nico grumbled, glancing up at Will with way more adoration in his eyes than he’d intended.
The two walked in silence for a little bit, Nico analysing the sky until he finally decided on the perfect spot.
“Ok,” Nico announced, “here’s good.”
“Nico, I hate to break it to you, but we’re still in the middle of the hill,” Will pointed out, looking around him as if he expected to find some big surprise.
“You’re so impatient,” Nico complained, tugging Will’s hand to get him to sit down on the ground next to him, “do you trust me?”
Will’s eyes found his, softening under the gaze.
“Of course I do, death boy,” he promised. Nico smiled and nodded, checking his watch again. Once upon a time, he would have complained at the nickname, but he’d grown to love with over the years. Not that any of the others would find out- they still found a sword at their necks if they attempted to call him ‘Neeks’ or made a jab at his heritage. Will was just… Will. He got away with everything when it came to Nico.
“We have about ten minutes. Tell me about your day whilst we wait,” Nico insisted.
“Nico, you were with me for most of it,” Will snorted with laughter. Nico rolled his eyes.
“I know that, duh, but who did you catch up with at the wedding? How was your trip to the hospital before you came here?” Nico asked. Will sprawled himself out across Nico’s lap, gazing up at him cheekily.
“Aw, you care about me that much?” Will teased.
“No, I just want the gossip,” Nico shrugged. Will gasped in mock horror and Nico huffed a laugh, brushing stray hairs away from Will’s eyes as his boyfriend finally launched into the stories he’d been after.
“So I talked to Piper at the wedding first, when you went over to talk to Percy and Annabeth. I asked how she was doing with Carys and the two are doing well. Piper’s thinking of asking her to be her girlfriend soon which is cute. Apparently, Carys memorised her coffee order after only two dates and she brings her flowers every date,” Will started.
“That is cute,” Nico noted, “pretty sure you don’t even know my coffee order.”
“You don’t like coffee, you nerd. You get a small hot chocolate with almond milk in every café we go in,” Will proved, his face breaking into a grin.
“Wow,” Nico said satirically, “a man after my own heart.”
Will lightly hit his stomach in complaint before continuing his story.
“So after that, Carys came up and I said hi and made small talk but decided to leave the two alone so they could get to the good stuff,” Will said, causing Nico to snort at his phrasing, “so I went to talk to your sister and Frank, ask them how they were doing and stuff.”
“You were talking to them for way longer than that. What are you hiding?” Nico noticed. Will pouted.
“When did you get so good at reading me?” he complained.
“Somewhere between Apollo arriving at camp and that time you tried to convince me Lou Ellen and Cecil still weren’t dating despite the fact I’d seen them making out in front of the Hecate cabin,” Nico noted.
“Fine, Hazel did tell me something but she made me swear not to tell you, so I won’t,” Will conceded with a sigh.
“What? That’s so unfair, she usually tells me everything,” Nico huffed. Will shrugged.
“She wants it to be a surprise,” he pointed out. Nico wracked his brains to think of a way to prise the information out of Will when he had a perfect idea.
“Okay, you won’t tell me? I’ll tickle it out of you,” Nico decided and before Will could even jump up in protest, Nico had flipped himself onto all fours above Will and his hands were already tracing lightly up and down his abdomen.
“W-wait, Nico! N-no hahaha don’t p-please don’t,” Will stammered, wriggling around under Nico’s dancing fingertips. Nico grinned down at his boyfriend as he became a blushing, writhing mess. Watching Will come undone beneath his fingertips was something that always made Nico’s day, even if it was just tickling this time.
“Tell me, then, Solace,” Nico demanded.
“Nicoooo,” Will complained, breathing heavily as he attempted and failed to grab Nico’s hands and still them.
“Fine, fine! I’ll tell you, but you have to pretend you don’t know when she tells you herself,” Will spluttered, gasping for breath as Nico’s hands finally stilled.
Nico pulled Will back up to a sitting position but remained firmly in his lap, looking expectantly into Will’s eyes. He still couldn’t believe Hazel had told Will something before she’d told him. Will was practically already a part of the family.
“She’s pregnant,” Will whispered as if there were people around to overhear, “and Frank is going to ask her to marry him once the baby is born.”
“No way!” Nico yelled, jumping to his feet angrily, “I’m going to be an uncle and my own sister didn’t bother to tell me?”
Will laughed at Nico’s antics before the smaller boy dived back down and grabbed Will’s face, planting a hurried but intense kiss on his mouth.
“Thanks for telling me. I’m going to hold this against her forever when she tells me and you dramatically announce that you already knew. Then I’m going to look so betrayed and declare that she’s no sister of mine anymore.”
“You are so overdramatic. I can’t believe how grumpy and quiet you used to be,” Will laughed, pulling Nico back into his side. Nico finally sighed and settled in. He was still struggling to comprehend the information. He was going to be an Uncle and his sister had wanted to keep it secret from him.
“There’s more,” Will added. Nico looked at him a little frenzied.
“What could possibly top that news?” he asked.
“Hades has invited all four of us to the Underworld to celebrate the birth of his grandson,” Will sighed. Nico’s heart sped up a little in panic. Will and the Underworld was not a good combination, as Nico recently discovered.
The first time Will went to the Underworld was the Spring after Hades had invited him. Nico had figured it was safest to take him when Persephone wasn’t around. Nico wished he’d remained as cautious.
Will usually visited the Underworld every Spring. Hades was gradually attempting to infiltrate more and more of Nico’s life and, as he constantly reiterated, apparently Nico’s love life was integral. However, after Will officially finished his course and was allowed to intern at the hospital that Autumn=, Hades invited the pair down for a meal.
It turns out, Persephone does not like children of Apollo and children of Apollo are surprisingly adept at killing plants. Nico really hadn’t been expecting an invite back ever again.
“Are we going?” Nico asked, uncertainly. Will raised an eyebrow.
“I have no problem if she doesn’t mind,” he shrugged.
“Will, every time I go down there she asks me if I’ve broken up with you yet. She’s even actively sought me out whilst out of the Underworld to tell me to get rid of you,” Nico smirked.
“Really?” Will asked and his eyes looked surprisingly bright. It was almost as if he was proud of finally having found an immortal enemy.
“Yes. She still hates you,” Nico assured him. He pretended not to notice the small fist pump Will did out of respect for his boyfriend’s reputation.
“We could always just suggest we have the meal in the summer months, anyway, even if the baby’s born when Persephone’s there,” Will shrugged. Nico raised an eyebrow.
“That seems a bit illogical. It would just be a meal for the sake of a meal,” he pointed out. Will shrugged.
“Hades has a surprisingly good chef. I don’t mind.”
Nico shook his head in exasperation when suddenly, a bright light caught his attention.
“Will, it’s starting,” he gasped excitedly.
“What’s starting?” Will queried. Nico grinned at him.
“There’s a meteor shower tonight. I brought you here so we could watch it,” he explained. Will gasped up at the sky as another light shot across it and then turned to smile at Nico.
“You’re such a sap,” he pointed out, “but thank you. This is a nice surprise.”
Nico curled up against Will’s side with his head on his shoulder as Will rested his own head on Nico’s, gazing up at the sky as he curled his arm around Nico’s back. It strangely reminded Nico of the position they’d been in the very first time they sat together to watch the sky. It had been a campfire night and Will had invited Nico. Nico had been so tired he hadn’t even registered what he’d been doing when he curled up against Will. Knowing what he knew now, he supposed Will hadn’t minded.
The two watched the meteors flash across the sky in silence for a while before Will spoke up.
“I can sense that there’s a reason you brought me to the meteor shower. Like, I feel as though I’ve forgotten an inside joke or something,” he muttered. Nico shifted slightly to turn and face him.
“Well, it was a long time ago, now, but when we first went to the campfire together during the summer we got together, I was so sleepy I traced your freckles and tried to tell you that they looked like a myriad of stars,” Nico smiled, bringing his finger up to once again trace Will’s freckles, “now the stars remind me of you so I wanted to bring you to see this.”
Will’s eyes melted as he gazed back at Nico.
“Every time I think you can’t get any more romantic, you go and pull off something like this. How am I supposed to top this?” he sighed, moving to cup Nico’s face. Nico felt his heart rate increase tenfold. Will had given him a perfect opening. The meteor shower was still raining above them in the stars. Now was the time.
The small, black box in his jacket pocket felt as if it was burning a hole through the fabric.
“Well,” Nico started, noting how short his breath was, “you could say yes.”
“What?” Will asked in confusion, his eyes going wide as he watched Nico get to his feet. Nico pulled the box out of his pocket and knelt down onto one knee, opening the box to present the ring he’d spent hours pondering over with Piper, Reyna and Annabeth. There was no backing down, now.
“William Solace,” he started, glancing at Will tentatively and noticing that he already had tears forming in his eyes, “when I first met you, I thought you were an idiot. Not because you were stupid, but because, for some strange reason, you wanted to be friends with me. You were persistent, infuriating and I thought I’d manage to scare you away within a day. I’d clearly underestimated just how persistent and infuriating you were because you stuck around. You always have stuck around. I was in such a dark place when you first met me and you stuck around to help pull me out. Whenever I doubted myself, you stuck around and assured me that I was safe, that I was enough and that I was loved. When someone sticks around that much, it’s hard not to fall in love with them, and falling in love with you was one of the easiest things I’ve ever done in my life. I fall more in love with you every day and-“ Nico paused to sniff. He was crying. “-and I want that to continue for the rest of my life. I want to be with you for the rest of my life. I want to wake up every morning with you by my side so I can tell you how incredible you are, how kind you are, how impressive you are and how amazing your mom’s pancakes are. I promise that’s not the only reason why I’m asking this, but Will, will you marry me?”
Nico wiped his eyes with his free hand the second he finished only to see Will in a similar state, tears pouring freely down his cheeks.
“Nico,” he sighed, “do you even have to ask? Yes, yes, yes, a thousand times yes I will marry you and I am so mad that you beat me to it but I suppose I can forgive you because of the speech you just gave.”
“I’ve had it memorised for a month,” Nico laughed through his tears. Will’s laughter soon joined his own and before he could even move to stand up or sit down, Will had leapt on top of him and was kissing him. It was salty and messy and their lips were hardly touching because of how much they were both laughing, but Nico didn’t think they’d ever shared a more perfect kiss.
“You are so incredible, Nico di Angelo. I love you so much,” Will announced when the two finally finished laughing. Nico pushed them up into a sitting position rather than being sprawled out on the grass.
“I love you too,” he added. Will glanced down at the ring still stored in the little box Nico had been clutching so tightly.
“This is beautiful. I hope you like the one I bought for you,” Will sighed as Nico took his hand and gently slid the ring onto his finger.
“You already bought me one?” Nico asked. Will rolled his eyes as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
“Obviously!” he said, “you’re not the only one that wanted to get married, y’know.”
“I’m glad,” Nico smiled, resting his head against Will’s. Will cupped his cheek and pressed their lips together once again, his lips curving up against Nico’s in a smile.
This time, Nico kissed him back properly rather than laughing, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend- no, fiancé-’s neck to pull him closer. Will wrapped his arms around Nico’s waist, his thumbs sliding underneath Nico’s shirt so that he could slide a hand up onto Nico’s bare back.
Nico could feel the cold metal of Will’s new ring on his finger against his skin. He pressed further into the kiss, holding Will as tightly as he could. Right there, Nico wasn’t afraid of the future at all. He was going to marry Will. For a son of Hades, Nico’s life was pretty incredible.
He wouldn’t change one bit of it for the world.

Charmed (1998)
Greetings to one and all! I meant to do this post a lot earlier but it’s been a busy week here. Never the less, it is time for another in-depth analysis and this time... something Wicca this way comes....
Tumblr media
[Hear now the words of the witches, the secrets we hid n the night]
PREMISE
In the fall of 1998, approximately 7.7 million American television sets were blessed to witness the coming of the Charmed Ones, three sisters in San Francisco who discovered their destiny as witches. Though they have their differences, they must overcome them and band together to fight the forces of evil and save innocent people from the clutches of all the things that go bump in the night (in San Francisco).
Sound familiar? More on that a bit later on, let’s first meet our coven *whispers* in San Francisco
CAST & CHARACTERS
If I had to include every major character on the show, this post will be as big as the Book of Shadows, hence I’m only concentrating on our main coven and listing the rest
Tumblr media
Shannen Doherty as Prudence “Prue”Halliwell - the eldest sister of the family, Prue is a force to be reckoned with, both in civilian and magical terms. She quickly stepped up when her mother died, doing whatever she could to provide and protect for her two sisters. She’s very level headed, practical and icy upon first impression, but melt through that and you’ll discover a very sensitive and kind woman. Prue inherited the family gift of telekinesis and grew to develop astral projection. Over time, she grew to accept that life isn’t all that serious, quitting her job at an auction house to become a full time photographer and devoting her spare time to being the Wiccan powerhouse amongst the siblings. Sadly, she died in her third year of being a witch, falling victim to a demonic assassin.
Tumblr media
Holly Marie Combs as Piper Halliwell - the initial middle sister, Piper Halliwell was the poster child for anxiety that went with living in the late 90s/early 00s, owning a nightclub; and oh year - being a witch. Suitably, she inherited the power of freezing time, which she used defensively to escape from tough situations (how cool was that sound every time she used this power? Whoooooh!). Love and magic gave Piper the confidence and grit she needed, with her gaining the power of molecular combustion, also known as ‘blowing shit the fuck up’), which she used to great effect against the baddies. She is the heart of the Halliwell family, even after Prue died, often acting as mediator with the various quarrels that inevitably came up when living with siblings. She went on to become a mother, a wife and a restaurant owner; but always put the importance of saving innocents above all else.
Tumblr media
Alyssa Milano as Phoebe Halliwell - the wild child of the family, Phoebe was a teenage rebel, leaving the family to move to New York before the series began. Moving back with her sisters due to money issues, she discovered the famous Book of Shadows and read the incantation that changed their lives forever. Taking to magic like a duck to water, she took on the role of magical research and go to witch before heading back to college in 2000 and finishing up her Bachelor’s degree. After her big sister died, Phoebe got bumped up to middle sister and had to show her long lost half sibling the Wiccan ropes. She has had a LOT of boyfriends a colorful & enthusiastic love life, but always remembered that her sisters are the true loves of her life. Going on to become an advice columnist, she started to take San Francisco by storm and became a bit of a celebrity.
Tumblr media
Rose McGowan as Paige Matthews - the secret sibling, she was the product of a love affair between her witch mother Patty (same one as the other three) and her whitelighter (guardian angel). Such a romance was forbidden, hence Paige was given up for adoption at birth to protect her and her sisters from repercussions. When Prue died, she felt drawn to the Halliwells and soon discovered her family heritage. In my opinion, Paige was the most organic of the sisters: while she was enthusiastic about magic, she often felt weirded out due to having to reconcile her Muggle upbringing with her magical identity on top of connecting with sisters she had no idea existed. Paige’s desire to help others led her to quit her job as a social worker and move full time into magic, taking on various roles as witch, Magic School headmaster and finally whitelighter.
Other major characters included:
Andy Truedeau - a police detective & Prue’s childhood sweetheart. He is very suspicious of how the sisters keep popping up in his cases. Played by Ted King
Darryl Morris - Andy’s partner and the sister’s secret keeper, he protects the sisters from police scrutiny and gets them to help out with a few cases on the way. Played by Dorian Gregory
Leo Wyatt - a handyman the sisters hired to repair the house, he’s secretly a whitelighter sent to look after them. He would eventually fall in love and start a family with Piper. Played by Brian Krause
Cole Turner - San Francisco’s Assistant District Attorney, he catches Phoebe’s eye. Secretly a half demon sent to kill the sisters, he eventually quits the demon life and shacks up with Phoebe. At least, at first... Played by Julian McMahon
Patricia ‘Patty’ Halliwell - the mother of all four sisters, she divorced her husband Victor and had an affair with her whitelighter Sam. She died soon after Paige was born. She had the same freezing power as Piper. Played by Finola Hughes
Penelope ‘Penny’ Halliwell - Patty’s mother and grandmother, she’s had as many husbands as Phoebe’s had boyfriends. Snarky, powerful and fiercely protective of her family; she had telekinesis like Prue did. Her death kicked off the series. Played by Jennifer Rhodes
Victor Bennet - the father of Prue, Piper and Phoebe, he and Patty had a tumultuous marriage. After her death, he clashed with Penny over custody and whether to raise the girls as witches or not. He left the girls in their grandmother’s care, leaving some daddy issues abound, especially for Prue. He reconnects with them as the series goes on. Played by James Read
[Check back for part 2!]

Can we talk about how great Piper/Leo are?! They're a combination of the epic/star-crossed/soulmatey live of Bangel with the more day to day compatibility of a more fluffy and angst free ship. His idealistic, laidback nature is the perfect complement to her snarkiness and adorably relatable neuroses, but thy have so much in common too: they're both such good, generous, loyal, protective, loving and passionate people with very similar values. I wish more people loved them!
Why don’t more people love Piper and Leo? I mean, look how precious they are--
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I ship them just as hard as Phoebe and Cole and I’m obsessed with those two haha. I think Piper and Leo are so well-balanced and well-matched as a couple for all the reasons you mentioned. One of my favorite things about them, or at least one of the things I find to be most interesting about their romantic development, is that they do have that star-crossed soulmatey thing. Soulmate is the first word that pops into my mind whenever I think about the two of them.

Definitely unchanged future Chris got a lot more love than baby Chris, after they found out who he was. But also, second children almost never get all of the attention??
I mean... the thing that also annoys me about that is this: even after finding out he was family, they never addressed how they’d treated him beforehand. Ever. Including Leo stalking him, threatening to kill him, threatening to send him back to his own time or to have the Elders clip his wings and recycle his soul. They also kicked him out of the house when he was forced to tell them he’d come back to stop Wyatt from turning evil and that in his future Wyatt grows up to become an evil dictator. (And made snarky comments behind Chris’s back about him being bitchy, neurotic, and complaining about him sending them out to vanquish demons on the off chance that this could be the one that gets to Wyatt—because he genuinely does not know what turned Wyatt evil and was trying to cover all the bases). Also the fact he’s, y’know, living in the back room of Piper’s nightclub instead of a spare room in the Manor where he can keep a closer eye on Wyatt.
And even after finding out his true identity, Phoebe never changes her attitude toward him: she suggests that Chris isn’t meant to exist, that his only purpose was to come back and warn them about Wyatt and that’s it; she completely dismisses all of Chris’s traumas in his future as his big brother picking on him; and she completely takes away Chris’s agency in revealing who he is to his own parents—Paige is the only one who he reveals his identity to on his own terms (he only told Phoebe in the first place because she figured it out from a vision she’d had and confronted him about it).
On your second point... eh... I was four when my younger sister was born and since I was perfectly happy to amuse myself, she got a lot of attention and would throw fits whenever I would want to spend time with Mom and/or Dad. (She still kind of does this whenever I’m home on break from university and want to just relax with Mom, but... *shrugs* both Mom and Dad have called her out on it and it hasn’t really done anything.)

Things We Lost in the Fire, ch 11
aka Caleo uni au
Fic summary: Calypso starts studying at a new university, but to her annoyance her new flatmate is a loud mouthed mechanic who also likes to sneak his dog in whenever. But as she learns to know him better, she realizes they might have more in common than what she first thought. Eventually, even the darkest secrets come out…
Chapter summary: Domestic moments, part 1
A/N: This chapter is the beginning of a few chapters long 'arc' where Leo and Calypso mainly just do domestic things such as cooking while they learn to know each other better. I know, why several chapters about cooking? Because I can, and because I wanted some fluff before some angst ensues (yes, some of that is coming soon too).
I hope you guys enjoy, and remember that I love hearing what you think!!
Characters in this ch: Calypso, Leo
Words: 2277
Genre: romance & hurt/comfort
Warnings: none
previous chapter / next chapter / AO3
Calypso often ate at the university cafeteria instead of her flat whenever Annabeth, Piper or some acquaintances from her history lectures joined her, but today everyone had been busy and she decided to make something herself. She quite enjoyed cooking but it was different to cook just for yourself compared to a bigger group of people. The packages grocery stores sold were often huge and eating the same leftovers several days in a row wasn’t something Calypso wanted to do constantly. This time, though, she considered asking Leo to join her. There was one ‘but’, though.
After the ‘therapy session’ and meeting Jo and Georgina, Calypso had felt a bit weird near Leo, but she didn’t understand - or want to acknowledge -  why. She definitely didn’t hate him anymore, having realized there was much more under that snarky and carefree cover than what she had first thought. But she found herself wanting to avoid talking to him, a change that hadn’t been left unnoticed by Leo, who had tried to start a conversation with her several times in the past few days and only gotten short answers before she had come up with some excuse to leave.
What Calypso didn’t want to admit to herself was that the butterflies that she felt in her stomach when near this boy were all too familiar to her. Back when she had done online dating, because there was no way her dad would have let her go on actual dates on her own, she found herself crushing quite easily on the guys she chatted with, only to get disappointed each and every time. The last time had probably been the hardest. The guy, Percy, had genuinely seemed nice, respectful, and caring. They had even managed to organize a short meeting behind Calypso’s dad’s back, only for Percy to tell her that he was sorry but he had started realizing that he had feelings for a long time friend. Calypso did appreciate the honesty but she wished that Percy would have realized that a bit earlier instead of giving her false hope. After that experience she had quit online dating and decided that she would not let herself get hurt again. Especially not by her new flatmate. Things would get really awkward if they… no, she didn’t want to let herself even consider that option.
However, she didn’t think her avoidance tactic was working so the second best option was to simply try to get used to being as neutral as possible in Leo’s company. That’s why she finally decided to brace herself and ask Leo to join her for her cooking session. Knocking on his door, she shouted: “Valdez!” and soon it opened, revealing Leo in his work attire (oily overalls and grease on his cheek. See, Calypso, not attractive at all, she tried to tell herself). He gave her his annoying (cute) trademark lopsided grin and for one -  just one - second Calypso forgot what she was supposed to ask him. When he continued looking at her questioningly, she finally blurted: “wannacomecookwithme?”
Leo’s eyebrows disappeared under his curly fringe.“What? Sorry, Sunshine, I have many talents but gibberish isn’t one of them.”
“Uh, would you want to come and cook with me? Also, why do you call me Sunshine?” she managed to ask a bit slower, blushing of embarrassment.
“Oh, I thought you usually eat at the university. But since you asked… I have to finish this one part before I can have a break,” Leo gestured at the stereos he was fixing. “But if you help me, I’ll get it done faster and then we can cook. And about that nickname,” he added cheekily, “clearly it’s because your presence warms me up like the sun.”
Calypso wasn’t sure if she should feel honored or offended. “Don’t try to mess with me, Valdez. That won’t work. But fine, I can help you as long as you don’t say things like that again.”
“Not sure I can promise that.” Leo waggled his eyebrows, causing Calypso to roll her eyes. “But I can try.”
“So…” Calypso said, starting to inspect Leo’s room. She hadn’t seen it that closely before, and she had to admit she was kind of curious. As she had expected, Leo wasn’t the cleanest of people. Sure, he had made his bed, and there wasn’t dirty laundry on the floor like she had half expected, but his but the area surrounding his workbench was a mess. The waste bin was overflowing with abandoned blueprints (some of them on the floor), there were bolts, nuts and nails everywhere Calypso turned her eyes to, and an oil stain on the floor that Leo had tried to rub clean but failed. “What can I do?”
“Uh,” Leo rubbed the back of his head. “My floor could probably use some cleaning. Can’t have Festus eat any of those.” He pointed at the fallen parts.
“When is he coming here again?” Calypso asked as she started picking up the nails.
“Not quite sure yet but Jo and Emmie are planning to visit a friend in another state soon so he needs someone to look after him while they’re gone.” Leo shrugged.
“Good to know. You know, I’d like to learn to know him better.”
“Oh? You would?” Leo asked, surprised.
“I’ve never had a lot of animals around me but I think I’d learn to like them if I spent some time with them,” Calypso confessed.
“In that case, it’s a date!” Leo said happily, not noticing that Calypso’s face went red because he was busy with his work.
“It’s a… what?”
Leo must have realized he had said something weird because his ears also started burning. “I… I meant with you and Festus, of course! You’re allowed to hang out with him as much as you want.”
“Right. Of course.” Calypso nodded, trying to look as calm as possible. Why was this so hard, she cursed to herself. They were only talking about Leo’s dog and even that seemed to make her act weird.
“Can I ask you something?” she broke the silence after a while. “What kind of food do you like?”
The question seemed to amuse Leo. “To be honest, all kinds. But I eat a lot of Mexican food that my mum used to make us. You know, the basics. Tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, nachos… I love it all.
“Then you’re in luck because I was thinking of making tacos,” Calypso said, not taking her eyes off of the items she was picking.
“I like the sound of that!” Leo nodded approvingly. “I’m a taco sauce pro, just sayin’.”
“Is that so?” Calypso asked. “You’d better be good because I don’t eat just any taco sauce.”
“Picky one, are you? Well, don’t worry because Leo Valdez’ sauce supreme has been approved even by the principal of our university,” Leo said smugly.
“The what?” Calypso wasn’t sure if she had heard correctly.
“The principal,” Leo repeated. “He happens to be my friend Jason’s father. Jason and he don’t really communicate that much but the only time he visited us here in this flat I happened to be making tacos and of course he wanted to get to taste them, because who wouldn’t… and he didn’t hate them so it was definitely a win.”
“Oh. I see,” Calypso replied, unsure if she should be amused or not.
“But hey, in the name of solidarity, since we’re making Mexican food you could add something Greek into the mix so you won't be completely overshadowed by my awesome-sauce,” Leo said.
“Such confidence. You must be incredible,” Calypso said sarcastically and half expected Leo to say something like ‘heck yeah I am’ in return, but instead she noticed his smile had started fading a bit. Maybe, a thought occurred to her, he really wasn’t as confident as he made himself sound. Maybe the humor was his way to hide something. But what, she didn’t know yet.
“That’s what they say,” he finally answered but Calypso thought that if you paid attention to his tone he really didn’t sound as enthusiastic as a moment before.
“Truth to be told, I’m not that amazing at cooking Greek food,” Calypso admitted. “My mum and dad got separated around the time we moved to the USA and dad mostly ordered takeaway to our home, but I do know the basics. A Greek salad would be fine, right?”
Leo still seemed a bit distracted. “Uh. Oh. Right.”
“Okay, it’s a deal then.” Trying to think of something that would get Leo back to the usual cheerful self, she asked then: “Hey, do you think we could invite Piper and Jason over? I may have bought too many ingredients again so some extra eating help wouldn’t hurt. And I’d like to meet this Jason who used to live in my room.”
Leo seemed relieved by the change of topic. “Sure! Although you might regret it because Jason is quite a gluttony. He’s a decathlete so he spends his days practicing and he’s hungry a lot…”
“I think we can handle that,” Calypso laughed.
Leo claimed that the reason why the stereos he was trying to fix were not working was because someone had poured a drink on them at a party. Apparently he was very tempted to make them play ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’ by Rick Astley nonstop instead of the songs the owner wanted to hear (“You can do that?” Calypso asked with surprise). Luckily, she managed to talk him out of it.
Calypso didn’t understand that much about the inner mechanics of the stereos so she was mainly giving Leo the tools he wanted while he worked, but she did find it pretty fascinating to watch. Leo was so different when he was working on his projects. He was more focused. Calmer (yet still fast and effective). He knew exactly what he needed to do and where everything went, and it all seemed so effortless, even though Calypso knew it was actually way more complicated than it seemed. In a way his determination to finish his project reminded her of herself when she decided to finish a piece of clothing or a carpet or whatever she wanted to make to forget…
Yet again Calypso started wondering what exactly Leo was hiding from her. She hoped that one day they’d trust each other enough that he’d be able to open up… and maybe she’d be able to open up too.
“Okay! Done!” Leo exclaimed, snapping Calypso out of her thoughts. He seemed happy about the result despite saying: “I still think these would be better with some Rick Astley, though.”
“I have to make a mental note to never break any of my machines if that’s how you want to treat them,” Calypso said.
“Trust me, the owner of these guys would deserve it. He’s an ass, I dunno how he made it to the university when his main goal is to throw parties every night.”
“And have you ever been to any of those parties?” Calypso asked, remembering Jo’s vague hints about Leo’s earlier bad habits.
“Once. It was not worth it. The chicks were pretty,” he noticed Calypso’s expression so he decided to change his approach, “uh, but it isn’t fun to be the only sober one there.”
“So, you don’t drink?” Calypso asked, not wanting to sound like she knew more than she should. “Not that it’s any of my business…”
“No, not anymore,” Leo admitted. “I… had it kinda rough before I moved to Jo and Emmie’s and I promised them I wouldn’t… And it’s a promise I am planning to keep. Besides, my ADHD and alcohol don’t mix well.”
Calypso realized it was the first time he mentioned his ADHD, which confirmed what she had already suspected. “Yeah. I understand. I don’t really care about that stuff myself.”
“Then I guess there’ll be two sober ones in case we ever go to a party together.” Leo smiled at her, but it wasn’t the usual mischievous grin, instead a much softer one. Calypso felt something weird in her stomach and a sudden urge to get any kind of physical contact with him, take his hand, touch his shoulder, that smudge on his face…
She had to shake his head to get rid of those thoughts, and that seemed to burst the weird bubble that had developed between them. Leo noticed it too, so he quickly said: “Um, I think we should test that this works. Don’t want Mr. Douche… I mean Dion to complain that I did a bad job.”
“Right,” Calypso said. “Anyway, I should probably go and get things prepared for the dinner. Will you contact Piper and Jason?”
“Will do. Any background music wishes?” Leo asked when Calypso was already out of the room.
“Anything as long as it’s not Never Gonna Give You Up,” Calypso joked, suddenly realizing that she had certainly started doing that more since moving in this flat.
“As you wish, Sunshine,” she heard the answer from Leo’s room. Soon a song she recognized from her childhood started playing. It was ‘Mermaid’ by a band called Train. She had loved all things sea related back then so it wasn’t a surprise that she was weirdly fond of that song too. Glad that Leo wasn’t seeing, she started jamming and humming the song quietly in the kitchen as she searched for the ingredients they’d be needing.
Thinking about the lyrics of the song, maybe her life really had started becoming more like a holiday lately. For various reasons, one of them possibly the curly haired mechanic next door.

PJO & HOO COLLEGE AU
-Okay so the main seven (plus Nico, Reyna and Will) live in the same apartment building
-Percy and Reyna
--They’re house is very clean because Reyna can’t stand messes and Percy respects that so he helps clean the shared area (Percy’s room is a little messy tho)
--Percy cooks, Reyna does the dishes and they both clean whenever they see a mess
--There’s music coming out of their apartment 90% of the time
--Percy is majoring in marine biology, Reyna in politics (in this au Reyna can become the president)
--Percy is dating Jason, Reyna doesn’t like anyone (that’ll probably change but right now I can’t think of anyone for her)
--They’re the people you go to when you want someone to complain to, some solid, straightforward advice or someone to back you up in a fight

-Leo and Will
--Their house is a mess, so much so that when Jason comes over he’s so annoyed by the mess he cleans the place for them
--They both cook, whoever wakes up first just makes food for the day
--They both have a bad habit of just passing out on the sofas after work, Leo more so because his room is really just a workshop
--When this happens the other one just carries them to bed, or passes out on top of them
--Will is studying medicine and Leo is in mechanical engineering
--Chillest people, if they’re awake they’re really cool to hang out with
—Will is with Nico, Leo is with Calypso

—That doesn’t apply to under Annabeth’s table, there’s just a pile of stuff there, when she’s working she doesn’t like having stuff around her so she puts everything on the table under the table
—Frank cooks and Annabeth does dishes
—Franks grandma comes over once every two months and she really likes Annabeth (and Hazel) she thinks they’re both strong and intelligent and enjoys taking to them

this is so long omg 😭😭😭 but i read through it and have thoughts 🤔
leo: totally a memelord (thats the first and last time i will use that word 💀) yeah, he's a runaway i guess, but that's not really relevant because he still would've been enrolled and attending various public schools. his outward personality is quite literally middle school gremlin, and thus he connects with the other reddit middle school dorks. he definitely picks up a lot of pop culture and yeah, he's all snarky back-sided remarks, but memes are what's current, and leo seems like someone who would pick up on that shit, hop on trends, and use it to seem more funny (even when it isn't)... he probably fell into surreal and deepfried memes at one point and laughs at the stupidest things
annabeth: nah. she only interacts with the kids who went to chb with her, just barely. so she's probably heard a few things some of the other kids say and would go "🤔 what IS a pepe?" but will never actually understand it all. anytime someone makes a meme reference, she gets squinty-eyed and suspicious but makes a mental note to look it up (she never does) and stays quiet
jason: definitely not. it seems like he's pretty removed from pop culture. he'd just laugh and go "haha okay?" some of the stuff he does get cause of piper and leo, but for the most part jason would try to make a memey joke and fail. but the times he does do it, its absolutely unexpected and hilarious... but i can not, for the life of me, picture him uwu-ing 😩😩😩
hazel and nico: hazel probably picks up some jokes but canonly she finds the internet confusing, if im remembering correctly. but when she understands a meme, she'll use it at every turn. nico... he BREATHES the internet. he's an edgelord but not purposely, and he genuinely indulges in what's considered cringe culture, but it's just cause he likes that stuff. definitely uses emoticons like: (((;ꏿ_ꏿ;))) ಠ﹏ಠ (´⊙ω⊙`)! because he likes it. since he lived in the lotus casino for so long, the casino most likely updated all their tech as the years passed. he's probably met some other teen from the early 2000s who went "🤭 kid check out this" and whips out a freaking furby... nico's a total dork, he'd be buried in internet stuff
percy: that kinda makes sense with the sally thing... 🤔 but his time at ahs probably caught him up with some of the more recent memes. like he def will know and quote the more popular vines i guess, but loss.jpg is a ???? .... probably doesn't know what a homestuck is but fears them
piper: she's lead the most "average" life thus far. she doesn't seem to like the celebrity life, so piper probably has a few social media accounts but is barely on it. she knows a lot of the memes but wouldn't really vocalize them outloud, but she knows what you're talking about and will burst out laughing
frank: LMAOOOO, i was gonna disagree heavily but that's funny. i think its a bit wrong- it feels like frank would make content and it would unintentionally be funny and he'll open his phone and go "oh why are there 64 new comments 😅" but he's doesn't really have the type of personality to get that popular. frank just isn't that funny in canon 😭😭😭
anyway tl;dr, in order from most likely to spit out memes to whats youtube:
nico > leo > piper > percy > frank > jason > hazel > annabeth
As much as it’s tempting to make Leo a memelord, I feel like it’s not exactly supported by his backstory. He’s been bouncing around from foster home to foster home for years, and he’s funny, sure, but that doesn’t mean he’s versed in internet culture the way a kid with a stable housing situation might be. As a result, his humor is a complex blend of whatever references he’s managed to pick up from pop culture, observations filtered through his ADHD Off-The-Wall Simile Converter, self-deprecating humor, and snarky insults. Leo is not a memelord.
Similarly, Annabeth isn’t a memelord, either, and not because she doesn’t have a sense of humor. No, she just never had the opportunity to connect to Internet culture. She ran away from home when she was seven and almost immediately found herself in CHB, where there is one(1) ancient fucking computer in the big house. For the next five years, she spent her entire time training to go on a quest and Prove Herself (at fucking seven, Chiron what the fuck,) so her mom would be proud of her (at fucking seven, Athena what the fuck). Her humor is more cynical and sarcastic, filled with references to old Greek legends and myths. Annabeth is not a memelord.
Jason probably isn’t a memelord for much the same reason as Annabeth. Ripped away from his family at two(2!!!) and plopped right into military service (which. hmmm. uncle rick wtf), and while I’m not actually sure how much tech New Rome would have (considering the fact that there’s an entire city as well as a college protected by Terminus, I kinda wanna say they would have to have Internet access), it would make sense for legionnaires to have limited access to the Fun Side of the Internet. Makes even more sense for a praetor to have even less access to the Fun Side of the Internet (if only because he would be too busy running an entire goddamn army of child soldiers, like really, where are the adults???? May I speak with someone over eighteen, please??????? Fuck. Anyway.). Jason’s humor would be reliant on the bits and pieces of Larger Internet Culture he’s picked up (he’s absolutely a Vine purist, you can rip that headcanon from my cold dead hands), probably Latin puns/wordplay, and fuck I’m so sorry I just got hit with the mental image of Jason staring Nico dead in the eyes and saying “Hewwo? Mistew Obama?” Jason is not a memelord, but he is meme nobility.
Hazel and Nico aren’t memelords in this decade. Seventy years ago, they would’ve had humor and references for fuckin days, but that was in the nineteen fucking forties. All the tech and references and Internet culture shit goes right over their heads, and Hazel for one is low key terrified by it all. (So is Nico, he just adjusts faster.) Neither of them know what TikTok or Vine are or what the fuck Loss is or what it means to lose The Game (ha gotcha >:3c), and if they were to get rickrolled they would stare blankly and say “that’s…a nice song????” It’s possible Nico might get it, by virtue of being in the 21st century longer than Hazel, but he also spent a good chunk of time in the underworld so. Safe to say, Nico and Hazel are not memelords.
Percy is probably not a memelord, and here’s why: Sally Jackson is an amazing mom and would’ve kept him away from the Internet/phones for as long as she could’ve before he found out he’s a demigod. Part of the reason they didn’t have phone/internet access would’ve been because they couldn’t afford it, but Sally stayed with Smelly Gabe specifically to mask Percy’s scent and hide him as best she could. She wouldn’t undo that by having a computer in their apartment that monsters (or worse…the Olympians) could use to track him. That, coupled with the fact that Percy kept hopping around from school to school for most of his life without a consistent friend group, means that he would be in basically the same boat as Jason: he knows Larger Internet Culture, but the day-to-day shift and growth of new memes would be beyond him. Percy is not a memelord.
Piper is a memelord. She might not know some of the more obscure memes or references on the Internet, but she knows far more than most of the Eight. She’s been on Vine, she’s been on TikTok, used Musically, and while she was still a “normal teenager” she definitely kept up with the trends. Few people on the Argo II can understand her references when she makes them, and her TikTok dances baffle and confuse just about everyone. Piper is a memelord.
Frank is not a memelord. Frank is the undisputed meme king of the Argo II. Before he went to Camp Jupiter he was low key TikTok famous, mostly for sick ass archery trickshots, but also for random bits of historical trivia and TikTok dances. He breaks into the Renegade whenever something startles him. Sometimes he also transforms into random animals and then attempts to do TikTok dances as an animal. It’s the funniest shit. Half the time Piper is furious she can’t get it on video, the other half the time she’s too busy laughing to care. Frank is the High King of Memes, Grand Duke of Dankness, Praetor of the Twelfth Legion and he pulls rank onboard to get the other legionnaires (Percy, Jason, and Hazel) to help him make TikToks.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk lmaoo
