I kinda remembered this a bit ago which led to me deciding to post my other past contest entries here & then post this cause it’s fitting for Pride Month
Like the others this was a past contest entry & just like the others didn’t win(I’m only saying this to tell it’s fate & nothing else) along with being turned in last minute due to complications. Unlike the others this was submitted a couple minutes AFTER the deadline cause my computer crashed as I was submitting it the first time. The background & a little bit of the effects were put together cause I literally had a few minutes left to submit.(Before it crashed)
This was for Clip Studio’s 35th contest(magic theme), originally posted to Twitter then Instagram & DA April 11, 2023
LINK to contest post on Twitter(Instagram LINK) LINK to timelapse post on Twitter(timelapse is in the Instagram link)

So the reason this is Pride Month related is because the character is a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
I don’t have a name for her yet so I’ll just call her Scrapbook cause her magic girl theme is scrapbooking/sewing crafts So anyway Scrapbook lives in a world were people can be magic girls(there’s some magic boys but not many), she’s always wanted to be a magic girl but had doubts as she was born male. She didn’t have much self confidence due to issues in life but one night ended up getting the chance to become a magic girl leading to her joining a team of magic girls in the area. All Scrapbook really needed was some help to believe in herself as she had the ability to do this all along.
Tumblr media
(Link to bigger pic if blog is having issues making it bigger) This is the first pic I made of Scrapbook, this was posted for Pride Month back in 2017.(Posted to DA June 11, 2017) I also edited out my name cause it was cause I didn’t want to show the whole thing.
This was kinda the first time I drew the concept for Scrapbook, her magic girl design was a mashup of ideas. As you can tell I changed the design up though I feel like it could use some more work. It’d be nice to see more scrapbook themed outfits but I couldn’t find any past pictures of scrapbooks with dress ideas.

Ello! I hope you're doing well! take your time doing requests don't stress yourself out :D.
I'm Xeno [not my IRL name lol], genderfluid (AFAB) my pronouns are he/him i like to be matched with class 1a or b male students.
I tend to dress in dark-colored clothing, comfortable in shorts, tank tops, and sweaters.
My MBTI is ISTJ, I easily forget things, and my personality changes, to new people I'm more reserved but with friends, I'm more playful and i cuss a lot like Bakugo and i have a dark sense of humor.
I love cats and drawing, my drawings are similar to macabre paintings. I like to watch horror movies and eat spicy noodles
i have an addiction to coffee. and i usually stay up all night until 5 am
I'm very sentimental, give me a small flower I'll keep it forever in a notebook.
English isn't my native language so sorry if my grammar is a bit off.
Tumblr media
First of all I’m sorry I’m getting to this ask so late, you sent this ask before I came back to this account and I’m sorry it’s taken me so long to get to it :/ You’ve been supporting my blog for quite a while now and I really appreciate how kind you’ve been, so I hope that you can enjoy this match-up and that it’s what you were hoping for! You always like my posts and you’ve sent in a few requests, and I just want you to know that I really do see and appreciate it and it’s nice knowing that someone consistently enjoys the stuff I put out on here, and I hope that you enjoy this as a sign of my thanks! :D
I’d Match You With:
Eijiro Kirishima!
Tumblr media
Reasoning:
Honestly I was really stuck between Kirishima and Tetsutetsu for this one lol, those two are so similar and I feel like they’d both pair really well with your personality, but I just think you and Kirishima pair up really nicely :) You fit together really well as people, and you have a very cute relationship hehe :)
Headcanons About Your Relationship:
- You and Kirishima literally have like the same style lol, he loves getting matching outfits for the two of you since your styles are already so similar, and he loves showing you off when you wear the same outfits (even though it’s just a tank top and shorts, he finds it really cute because he's sappy like that) and he loves how everyone can tell you’re together based on your matching clothes :)
- You definitely remind Kiri a lot of Bakugo, and I have a feeling the two of you would get along quite well as friends once Kirishima finally introduced you two. Obviously this would make Kiri absolutely ecstatic, Bakugo’s his best friend and he always worried that his eventual s/o may not be able to get along with him, so he’s happy to see two of the most important people to him connecting :D
- Kirishima will love it if you draw something for him, you could literally draw anything you want and give it to him and he’d absolutely cherish it. He hangs up any drawings/pictues you give him on his dorm walls or frames them on his desk, he loves showing off how talented you are and looking at your art whenever he comes into his room!
- Kiri also likes watching horror movies with you :) He’s not into super intense ones, his limit would probably be at movies like Saw and similar ones, but he thinks slashers are fun and loves the dumb cheesy lines they usually have, and he’s willing to branch out a bit if there’s one you want to show him as long as it’s not too far out of his comfort zone! Horror movie nights are a very frequent date idea for the two of you lol, and he is not above hiding in your arms if he gets spooked by one of your movie picks
- Kirishima’s also very sentimental, he’s a sucker for even the smallest of things, so once the two of you eventually end up moving in together your shared home is just filled with mementos collected by both of you throughout the time the two of you have been dating
- Knowing that you’re sentimental gives Kiri some great gift ideas, though, he loves getting you scrapbooks filled with memories or writing super long, heartfelt messages in each card he makes you, knowing that you’ll want to keep and cherish it forever <3
- Kirishima’s also a huge spice guy, he’s the kind of guy who will purposefully buy the spiciest noodles in the store just for a fun little challenge. And he’ll happily have you join him on these adventures if you’re really into spicy foods and the two of you can chow down on ice cream together afterwards, but if you prefer more mild ones instead then he just heeps a stash of your favorite brand of hot noodles in his dorm for you to snack on so you don’t have to suffer through his meals with him lol
- I doubt Kiri’s the kind of person to be a huge stickler about bedtimes or curfews or anything, but he’s the kind of guy to usually be out by like, midnight to 1AM, so he doesn’t really understand how you can stay up so late lol. He may try to encourage you to come to bed with him a little earlier, both because he wants to make sure you’re getting enough sleep and because he likes cuddling with you when he falls asleep, but he won’t push it if you’d rather keep staying up late, he respects your right to make that decision and just asks you to come cuddle with him when you are ready for bed, even if he’s already sleeping :>

Hello! I'm new here, but I must say that I'm having a good time on your blog, and I specially like the Ather theme!! I don't know how to properly request something, but, if you don't mind... I was wondering if you could write modern headcanons for Lumine, please? I hope you have a nice day 🤍
modern au lumine headcanons
- random modern au headcanons for lumine regarding her style, behaviour, hobbies and life overall!
Tumblr media
characters: lumine (modern au)
a/n: I'm glad you’re enjoying my blog, and thank you for your request! i’m not entirely sure if you mean modern lumine in general, or the format i used for xiao and aether, but i chose to just write general headcanons (the profile format is coming up though, so if that’s what you meant, no worries). feel free to send another request if i misunderstood anything! also, as something new, i tried to add pictures. links at the bottom of the post.
warnings: none!
Tumblr media
Sidenote; my modern au “vision”, if you could call it that, has the twins in highschool, but these can also apply to them in college or overall. I’ll just be referring to school related things. I sorted them into categories bc why not.
Tumblr media
General
I view modern au Lumine as someone pretty confident and bold, but also kind of quiet. She’s a bit of a hothead at times, especially when she’s passionate about something, but knows how to pick her battles. Actually, she’s pretty in tune with her own emotions, and knows how to calm herself down and think rationally.
She’s an ambivert, and can work with most people, but prefers to keep a small and close circle of friends. She’s also more outwardly protective of people than her brother is.
Also, the travelers can both be little shits, so Lumine is not above playing small pranks and sassing people. She’s mastered the deadpan expression, and only Aether can beat her in sarcasm.
Tumblr media
Closet reveal
Her style is comparable to tech wear, but the more alternative/street fashion inspired one, if that makes sense. So lots of cargo pants, buckles, boots, and those layered two-piece crop tops. It’s mostly black, with some grays and purples.
Tumblr media
However, on the other end of the scale, she likes to wear more casual clothes. This is especially for moments where pulling up like you just stepped out of a dystopian sci-fi movie adaption isn’t appropriate. Regular-fit jeans, big sweaters, loose button-ups and t-shirts are staples for her. She mostly wears light tones, like white, gray, blue, green, and occasionally purple. All jewelry suits her, but she prefers silver, only sticking to gold when she needs some contrast in her outfit. She has simple accessories, like pearl hair clips and small necklaces. Flowers are common themes there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Social
Again, Lumine is an ambivert, she’s a solid 50/50 when it comes to her social life. She can appreciate her own company just as much as she can appreciate others’. She’s really popular in school, but I feel like it’s a case of “a lot of people are friends with Lumine, but Lumine isn’t friends with a lot of people”. What I mean is, she’s naturally nice and when you get past her slightly intimidating appearance, she’s super easy to get along with and eager to help - so a lot of people know her and like her. She prefers to have a few close friends. She’s also busy, so it’s hard for her to maintain contact with most people.
Xiangling is her best friend, and they hang out almost every day. They usually cook together, watch anime (slice of life or horror), go on walks and take photos. They have a scrapbook that they share, and when they haven’t seen each other for a while, they can easily spend a day updating it. The scrapbook is fairly new, but they’ve been doing similar stuff since they met (first week of middle school).
By extension, she’s quite close with Chongyun and Xinqiu as well; all 4 of them hang out once a week minimum, and she works out with Chongyun. Her and Xingqiu like to debate for fun (and they both suffer over homework together)
She’s known Hu Tao since they were kids (they were on the same gymnastics team), and they just stuck together, so they’re almost like siblings. Equally crazy about sports, and they play on the same basketball team.
She’s cool with some of Aethers’ friends as well, namely Xiao and Albedo. Also, she doesn’t actually hate Venti, they just love to bully each other (lovingly).
Tumblr media
Hobbies
Lumine is actually pretty athletic and has been on multiple competitive teams; She did competitive boxing for a short while, but stopped due to an injury. She picked it up again casually after recovering. As a child, she did gymnastics and track until the end of middle school, which is how she met Hu Tao and Xiangling. She plays on the school basketball team, and loves running as well.
She got into cooking and photography because of Xiangling.
She’s really into the sciences and learning about how the world works, and she watches a lot of lectures online. She’d like to pursue a career in STEM one day, but it would have to be a flexible one.
She loves to travel, and plans to take a gap year after school to go see the world. She also hopes that whatever she decides to study and work as will allow her to travel around.
Tumblr media
Various likes and dislikes
Ironically, her least favorite class is physics, mainly due to the workload (and also, the stuff they do in high school just isn’t all that interesting to her)
She prefers math class, because she works more efficiently, and unlike English, she doesn’t risk getting stuck in a back and forth analytical debate.
She's not a big fan of tea or coffee.
She prefers spicy food.
Her music taste is varied, but I’d say she likes bands like mother mother, paramore, palaye royale and måneskin, among others.
If she had to choose between writing an essay on a book or doing a math exam, she’d choose the math exam.
She strongly dislikes having long hair, which is why she cuts it quite often.
Her favorite season is spring, specifically when the first flowers start to break through.
Her favorite candy is sugar frosted slime.
She prefers rainy weather.
Tumblr media
Random facts
While Aether was obsessed with slimes as a child, Lumine was obsessed with geovishaps; she has an old wallet shaped like one from a zoo (I think that in a modern au, certain creatures like geovishaps are extinct, like dinosaurs in real life), and she knows an excessive amount of random facts about them
The main cast are active twitter users, and Lumine mostly uses hers to roast Venti or post photos of her cats. Her header is a photo of her and Xianling holding hands, and her icon is one of her cats who’s named Aria.
Her and Aether have 3 cats; Aria, Sonnet and Canon.
Lumine sometimes helps out in Xiangling’s family’s restaurant and refuses payment for it, but her parents find a way to pay her back anyway.
She has the most cursed camera roll that you’ll ever see - she never cleans it out, which results in an abomination of random photos, awful memes, photos of the classroom board, text screenshots, and too many accidental pics of the ground. Also, she has memes so cursed that none of her friends have managed to locate the side of pinterest she finds them on.
Replying to a text can take her anywhere between 2 hours to 7 business days, but if you call her, she’ll pick up immediately (unless you’re Venti)
She’s definitely the person who just says “get well soon” if you’re crushing on a guy and send her a photo of him.
If you ask her for the assignment answers the day they’re due, she’ll deliberately ignore your text until 5 minutes before the deadline. Otherwise, she’s happy to help. This totally isn’t because she’s doing it last minute, either.

I hope this was okay! I tried to make it make sense without explaining too many details irrelevant to the post. I’m iffy about the cat names, but for anyone who’s wondering; they’re the names of the 3 moon sisters in genshin.

Okokokokokokok,,,,,, what if the gang had twitter / other social medias
OKOKOKOKOK THIS IS LATE>>>>>>>I”M S O R R Y but I have been ruminating on this, and I have good answers. I’m going to go based on each person. I also am basing this off of the idea that Omori takes place in the early 2010′s because that’s what I think OWO
Also fair warning literally the only social media I use is tumblr. I don’t even have a twitter, and I haven’t used my instagram in multiple years......
Kel
Kel as a youngster wanted to have a prank youtube channel. He managed to wrangle Sunny into it with him (Little Brothers Squad ftw) He would plan everything, and he would come up with the ideas, Sunny really just kind of held the camera and sat in the intros.
It was a very short lived idea, but they managed to pull off three pranks-
1- Hiding Mr. Plantegg (which backfired because Hector found him before they did and they ended up having to chase the dog around for a good two hours)
2- Switching out the sugar at Mari and Sunny’s house for salt. (Kel forgot they did this, and then he and Sunny ended up also ate the salty cookies.....Sunny liked them......)
3- Replacing all the pictures in Basil’s photo album with selfies of Kel (This one was actually funny and Basil got Kel his own scrapbook to keep them all in :D)
His mom forced him to quit because Kel was already *too much* for her to handle, and this was one thing too much. Kel will still occasionally pull a good prank with Sunny for old times sake
Aubrey
Aubrey has all forms of social media but she’s most active on Instagram.
She is mostly just followed by friends, she’s not creating any content, she posts a lot of pictures of her friends hanging out together
Aubrey does have one singular side thing....She has a fashion finsta
(have you seen that girl??? Crop top a n d sneakers??? PInk hair??? she is a lesbian fashion goddess)
She doesnt have a ton of followers but she posts a lot of her outfits and people ask her about what makes good combos
She’s known for having a lot of great thrifted outfits and her bargain outfits are on p o i n t
Basil
Basil also runs his instagram, but it’s a mixture of plants and candids of his friends. Nothing much to report it’s cute He’s cute I’m love him.
((Basil has a secret gardening blog and he is in all of the gardening forums)) Shhhhhh don’t tell anyone
Hero
Hero is Dr. Mike 😂😂😂😂
No but Fr Hero starts a twitter that quickly devolves into him being a doctor on twitter.
He refuses to like diagnose people but he gives lots of tips and teaches people how to get past insurance and hospital bills.
Hero is the king of “do not pay hospitals for scalpels”
Sunny
Sunny...my boy Sunny......he is an unknowing twitter *god*.
His tweets are legendary. No one knows who @omori is, but they’re all dying to find out
Sunny tweeting at 2:47 am: Are we all just side characters in a single person’s epic mind palace? Who’s to say
Sunny tweeting as he wakes up at 3:19 pm: Fruity pebbles are the modern day bread and circuses
He has so many followers,,,,, and he doesn’t even know how to check his follower count. He follows no one. It’s i n s a n e . Some of the group even follows him, and they don’t know it’s him.

A Lone Butterfly - Chapter 1
Title: Chapter 1 ~ Captive
Word Count: 1650
Warnings: Mentions of kidnapping and brief descriptions of violence. Allusions to rape. Overall this story has some pretty heavy subject matter.
Pairing: Javier Peña (Narcos) x Isabel Cotrille (OFC)
Summary: Isabel is captured by the cartel and seeks to find a way out.
Notes: This chapter is not explicit, but things may get spicy in later chapters. Go to my blog for more chapters. I will post chapters every few days as I finish writing them. If you take the time to read this, thank you so much! Would love feedback if you are so inclined.
I wake up to my hands tied above my head. The thin cord of rope gnaws against the tender skin of my wrist, immobilizing me. A numbing ache runs through my head as I tilt my eyes back to find the binding. The skin of my wrists are rubbed practically raw and every tiny movement of my hand is torture. I force movement anyway, pushing through the pain. My numb arms start to wake up also, and with it comes stinging soreness. I've been trapped like this for quite a while. I start to panic. Where am I? How will I get out of here? I have to get out. I have to. I wriggle my wrists against the binding desperately, immediately regretting it. The pain travels down from arms into my shoulders. I groan, not being able to keep quiet. I wish for the oblivion of sleep to relieve me once again.
Through tears, I look down at my scantily clad body. Bruises. I'm covered in them. A canvas of blueish purple splotches appear on my chest, and my upper thighs. One larger area, darker than the others covers the skin underneath my breasts. I take a sharp breath in and muffle a scream at the pain. I'd broken a rib, at least one anyway. I do my best to shove the pain away to a place at the far reach of my mind. I can't let it distract me. I have to get out of here. For a few minutes I just sit, taking soft breaths, willing myself to be strong. My memory slowly but surely comes back into focus.
I remember fighting. Kicking, screaming, punching until I was completely devoid of the energy to do anything at all.  I remember rough hands shoving me onto the threadbare mattress, pinning my arms down. The same mattress I am on now in this dark, cement walled room. I try to remember the time before this black hole of a room. How the hell did I get here? Pieces of my memory come to me as images flash through my head like a scrapbook.
I'm driving along an empty country road. Where was I going? Two men in workers uniforms stand before me. A rusted vehicle. An accident. Did they hit me or did I hit them? Squirming between two sets of iron hands forcing me in the back of the van. Pushing. Shoving. Both from me and him. Hands. Hands on me while I'm in a half daze. Waking up in a room similar to this one, only there's no mattress just a cold concrete floor. I can still feel it chilling my exposed skin. A man is there above me. Forcing myself to stand, to fight. Blinding pain as he throws me back on the ground. A punch to the temple. Darkness.
I will myself to focus on something else, anything else. I can't force the unrelenting memories away, but if I don't forget them for now I won't be able to figure out how to get out of this nightmare that has become my reality. I survey the small space as my eyes start to adjust to the dim lighting. A small wooden desk placed near the pallet I'm on holds a lamp. There's concrete floors here, too. No windows though, and I realize the faint light illuminating the room comes from a crack beneath the door.
I freeze. Noises come from somewhere outside. I make out a hoarse male voice, speaking harshly in Spanish to someone. I try to decipher what's being said but my Spanish is limited to a few a phrases. A few seconds pass and loud grunting noises intensify as I realize what must be taking place somewhere not far from me. Is a there a room beside me? Is there another girl here? How long before someone comes in my room?  I'm terrified to find out. I hear feminine cries and lose some of my hope.
What if I die here? I will never see my mother again. She can't lose me and my father. I won't let it happen. She must be worried sick. How long has it been that she hasn't known where I am? With no siblings, and no other family left we are all each other has. I left my apartment in the states after my father was killed to stay with her here in Columbia. Now she will be all alone.
I continue to breathe slowly in and out to keep from trembling.
"Focus, Isabel," I whisper to myself.
I attempt to inch up into a sitting position. It's tortuous. Everything hurts. It seems as if every muscle in my body has been pulled, and I catch an achy feeling between my legs that I choose to ignore. My shoulders introduce me to a new kind of agony as I shift them and the rest of my torso upright. My sense of time is nonexistent, but from the suffocating ache spreading from my shoulders, down my arms, and through my back I realize I must have been contorted like this for many hours. Once my rear is almost flush with the wall, I allow myself a break. Tears cascade down my face at the pain from my ribs. Determined, I peer over at my bound wrists. They're tied to a metal rod protruding from the wall on my right side. Immediately, I start rubbing my hands back and forth against the rod, hoping the friction will disintegrate the cord. I keep at it for what seems like an eternity, but must have only been around five minutes. The rope doesn't budge.
I search for an alternative solution. My eyes hunt for something  sharp enough to cut through the ties. That's when I spot something purple lying on the ground. Flung a few feet from the desk is a pair of underwear I recognize as my own. A wave of nausea cascades through me, and I almost throw up. The realization of what's been done to me sinks me into a fury of grief and anger. A silent sob escapes me and I can't breathe. My throat threatens to close up, and the air in the room feels sticky against my skin. I brace myself for some violent memory, but it doesn't come. Maybe I was knocked into unconsciousness. Maybe that's why I can't remember. I suddenly feel the urge to escape my body, to be somewhere else. I want to scrub layers off of my skin until I'm clean again. I float off for a second and force myself back into reality. I have to stop. There's no time to process what I'm feeling right now, and I have to get out of here. The new wave of anger makes me even more determined and I take advantage of it. There's nothing sharp that I can tell, nothing to cut through the rope that is nearly cutting off my circulation. I'll have to be more creative. I glance at the desk lamp to my right. There's no lampshade, just an exposed bulb. My right wrist is within inches from it. I lift my feet from the mattress and onto the cold floor. I stand up, hands still bound to the wall.
I mutter a curse as my ribs scream at me again from the movement. I position my arm in order to attempt to use the force of my elbow to crack the glass bulb against the brick wall. It doesn't work. I try again, and again, and again. The fourth time I gather strength from a place I can't comprehend, and manage to crush the glass bulb. Now there's nothing protecting the exposed filament from it's surroundings. I hunch myself over so that the base of the lamp is between my shoulder and the side of my face. The position of my body is awkward and painful, but I'm able to angle the lamp so that the lit filament comes in contact with the rope. It's working. The rope is turning to ash against the heat. I cry in relief as the scorching wire sizzles at my skin and the rope breaks free.
The victory gives me a rush of adrenaline, but I still have to figure out how to get out of this hell hole. I look down and see that I'm still in the outfit from the day the van hit me. My pale orange sundress is filthy and ripped nearly to my hip. I remember having my denim jacket on that day, but it is nowhere to be found. I look around for shoes to cover my bare feet, those are missing also. Okay, so I was going to have to do this barefoot and barely clothed.
Male voices approach outside my door and I scoot to the small space behind the door. There's no place to hide in here, and I don't know what I'll do if one of them comes in.
The footsteps grow louder and then fainter as they pass by my room. I wait until I can't hear them anymore, then let go of a nervous breath. Carefully, I try at the door knob. It twists underneath my hand. The idiots actually left it unlocked. I let go of the knob and scan the room once more, this time looking for some kind of protection to take with me. I know my options are limited, but I can't go out there with nothing. Who knows who or what I'll run into. I run over to the desk and quickly open the small drawer. Nothing. I swallow hard. My eyes fall to the ground and settle on the shattered glass from the lightbulb. One jagged piece is larger than the others. I pick it up and head back to the door. I listen for voices or footsteps once more. Nothing. I ease the door open and step outside.

Curious Archer Pride Month, week 3 - Events
So, ever since the series finale, I had this idea for a fic about Alice & Robin's wedding (and the planning of said wedding). Unfortunately, I'm very bad writing schedules and writing chapter fic (which is how I envisioned this). So while I don't have a fic for this week's prompt, I do have a list of meta/head canons. Maybe one day I'll get to write this fic. But until then, I hope this gives you some entertainment
Okay so first, Robin gives Alice an engagement ring that's super flashy and noticable (the one Rose Reynolds chose for her character)
I wrote less than a page for this fic but one of the few things I did write was this: "The ring is rather large, ostentatious and a little gaudy. So Robin knows Alice will love it."
Alice gives Robin a ring in exchange: a flat silver ring with a heart and arrow engraved
In my head, each chapter of the fic would deal with a different stage of wedding planning
I'm not sure how, but I wanted to work in Wish!Hook teaching them both how to sail the Jolly Rodger
Robin expected that Alice would want a small simple wedding, and if the curse hadn't happened, she would have. But now that Alice has Tilly's knowledge of American weddings, she wants at least some of those traditions
They both go through magazines and wedding blogs to figure out which parts they like and which parts they don't want to do
I think their color theme is yellow (if they do have a color theme at least). I feel like yellow is just a really happy color and somewhat unconventional for weddings? Like, this is 100% influenced by the fact that one of friends told me her wedding color was yellow and everyone gave her shit for it and complained that no one looked good in yellow. But imo, her wedding pictures look great.
I'm torn between them keeping the "can't see the brides and the wedding dress on the day of" tradition and them having a private "seeing each other in our bridal gowns before walking down the aisle" kinda thing
On the one hand, capturing the moment on film when the couples to be see each other in their wedding outfits for the first time is so beautiful. I loved that part of my brother's wedding.
On the other hand, is that in character for Alice and Robin? Would it better to have them do something unconventional and nonstandard?
They both get wedding rings in addition to their mutual engagement rings: matching plain gold bands
Their honeymoon is definitely them exploring different worlds together for like a year
I know Regina magically combined all the worlds to fit in Story Brooke but I like the idea of Alice traveling to all the worlds she previously visited but this time happy and with someone she loves
They either have a wedding cake with orange marmalade filling or a ton of mismatched cupcakes that Alice, Tiana, Hook, Cinderella and Lucy all help ice. So some of them cupcakes look professionally done while others like they belong on "Nailed It"
The ceremony is either held in woodsy area in the enchanted forest (which makes transporting everything there a bit of a hassle) or it's in that little area with the giant statue
They get a legit photographer for the ceremony (because Zelena and Regina insist on it) but the reception is photographed by their guests via disposable cameras
Those photos eventually get scrapbooked together but I'm not sure who is the one who does it? Maybe it's a group effort?
The photos are chaotic, and sometimes blurry and people aren't always looking in the same direction
But they capture the moment
Separate wedding dress shopping trips but Hook, Zelena, Regina, Tiana, Cinderella and Henry are there for both "say yes to the dress" outings (complete with champagne. Alice gets a little tipsy during her dress chosing)
There's no official wedding party roles but Hook walks Alice down the aisle while Zelena and Regina walks Robin down the aisle
They write their own vows! Which of course use their nicknames for each other (Nobin and Tower Girl). There's also a mention of Targo bc that scene is still hilarious to me
That's all I can think of for now. If I have anymore ideas for the wedding (both the day of and the events leading up to it), I'll reblog this post with a new list

Since we've been rping about, tell me some of your juicy JacklexSelph (or in your case, Mirrage) headcanons
EEEEE!
Ok, to let anyone else reading this know, Mirrage is my version of Selph. I dont feel up to posting about them now, but I did submit them to @funkyneonguts so you can go there and read about them there, just click on the selph tag. I'll post my version of Selph here latter.
(Edit: I posted Mirrages bio! Go check out the Selph tag if you wish!)
And yes, I ship Selph x Jackle. Or as I like to call it with my version, Mirrackle. Here I'll give you guys the Abridged version of how I see they're story.
I like to imagine they met before Mirrage was freed. Like Jackle was one of the nightmaren that was tasked with fetching them. Since Wizeman uses Mirrage- or Selph as the other nightmaren knew them- as a fear tactic, to get them to behave or else "They will be imprisoned too."
Jackle however, liked Mirrage, they were different. And Mirrage found the Mantle amusing, with his antics. After Wizeman heard of this, he forbade Jackle from seeing Mirrage again. Those two would not meet again until Mirrage was freed...
When they were freed, after Wiseman's fall, Jackle was the only one who volunteered to show them around and get used to being in the physical realm again. Mirrage at first thought he was joking. They thought that he was just wanting something from them before, but now he actually wants to hang around them? Unless he really wants something from them, why would he just want to 'hang out'?
Eventually, they slowly learn to trust Jackle. They except that he actually wants to be around them. They realize that this isnt some elaborate plan to earn their favor. They realize that he actually loves them. And they too fall in love with him...
Now that that story is done, here are the headcannons!
Mirrage is a fashionista through and through. They love changing their outfits, whether it be feminine or masculine. And they absolutely adore it when Jackle goes gaga over their new garments. They always make sure to show off to him.
I like to imagine Jackle did the art on his cards. Mirrage loves art. They love seeing Jackle's art. Because of this, he makes so much art for Mirrage, they could make a scrapbook of them! They treasure each and every picture.
Because they spent so long in the reflection realm (like centuries long), they like touching people, especially those they like. They love physical contact of any kind, whether it be hand holding or hugging or kissing. If they arent touching Jackle in anyway, something is wrong.
However, on Jackle's end, I headcannon that his body is sensitive (hence why you remove his cape, than attack.) And is only used to skin on skin contact if its related to pain. When Mirrage touched him for the first time, he flinched and hissed at them. Now when he feels upset, Mirrage will just gently touch him, whether it be massaging or just hugging him.
Likewise, Mirrage wasnt used to the physical contact of others. When Jackle first gave them a surprise hug, they nearly bit his face off. Now they revel in Jackles touch, and know that if he doesnt hug him once, than something is wrong.
I personally imagine Jackle is a combination of 'just being hyper and mischievous' to 'actually insane and/or sadistic'. Mirrage absolutely loves both sides.
This would be Mirrage in general with someone they cared about. They are insanely protective of Jackle. Even though they know that he can stand up for himself, they'll rip out a man's spine if they were messing with Jackle.
Jackle is also protective, but he's the one that tells Mirrage to take a chill pill more often.
Mirrage is actually traumatized with how long they were trapped, how their senses were left immobile save for sight and sound, and how they couldnt escape. Jackle is the only one who helps them through their moments. Staying by their side and not leaving them until they feel better.
Likewise, Jackle has trauma from serving Wizeman, especially from all of the punishments. Mirrage makes absolute sure to be there for him during his moments, holding him close and not letting go.
Mirrage likes being wrapped up in Jackle's mantle, with him holding them. It makes them feel better if they had a rough day. Jackle will not hesitate to hug them from behind with his cape to help them feel better.
Mirrage likes that Jackle is smaller than them (Jackle is 7'0, Mirrage is 7'8). They'll use his size as an excuse to carry him, lift his head up and kiss him, etc. "Your so small." "I'm seven feet tall Mirrage." "Tiny."
Basically, they are so I love with each other, they could compete with Morticia and Gomez. I said it and I meant it!
And that's all I can think of! I know @marshmallow-biscuit-blog I already mentioned some of these to you. Hopefully the new ones are worth it!

I was tagged by @theoracleofllaena to answer 11 questions here so let’s just skip the formalities and hop right to it, shall we?
1. What was your favorite era of animation?  (eg. “golden age” or decades like 1980′s, etc)
I’d have to say any animation by Don Bluth b/c his style of animation very beautiful to me. I think his works range from the 80s to 90s to even 2000s with Titan A.E.
2. Is college/university a waste of money in your experience?
Yes, the costs are outrageous in several areas from classes to textbooks to dorms, hell even cafeteria food. I mean sure there’s scholarships, finanicial aid, loans, grants and such but come on. You have so many still paying off loans and are not able to secure their dream jobs yet b/c of the economy and times have massively changed. But college degrees are required on a lot of jobs out there so you got to do what you got to do.
3. What is your favorite “black sheep” video game, as in the worst-reviewed or least-popular game in a series?
I would have to say Tomb Raider Chronicles, I usually see that one end up really low on top games and ranked next to worst of all the Tomb Raider games. Most complaints were that if felt stale using the same engine and “been there done that” plots and gameplay but this was actually my first Tomb Raider game I ever played so it was all new to me then. I had fun with it and it still holds a special place in my heart b/c it got me into the series.
4.  Add-on to previous question: Do you feel like long-term or “established” fans are too harmful to newcomers to a given franchise?(game/movie/book/whatever)
Some can sour the experience and be annoying as hell but not all long-term or “established” fans are bad just like not all “newer” fans are bad either. You’re gonna have your good and bad apples in any groups you come across. I say keep it small in fandoms, find your people you gel with and have fun.
5. What is the weirdest food you ate that you actually enjoyed?
Nacho cheese Doritos in a chive and onion cream cheese bagel sandwich. Brush your teeth after this fine snack so you don’t gross anyone out.
6. What is one dream you have had that you wish could come true?  Alternate for people who can’t remember their dreams, how about a fantasy or day-dream?
Daydream wise I would say just that everyone is healthy, financially secure,no more diseases, killing, racism, homophobia, nazis and pedos. That would be a great thing to happen. We’d all be happy, that may seem boring to some but hey I’ll take it.
7. You are now given exactly one “save point” in real life, and you can reload your save as many times as you want, but the one save point stands.  Where/when would you use it, if at all?  (retroactive answers, such as placing the save point somewhere in your past, are acceptable)
I would use it in the summer of 1996 just so I could keep reloading the cool times I had with friends, plus reliving the games, movies, music, fashion, the fads, etc....
8. In fantasy/”historical” war media (comics, games, whatever), do you prefer they use real-life countries (eg. Age of Empires, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, etc) or fictional countries (eg. Calradia in the Mount & Blade series, Temeria/Nilfgaard in The Witcher, etc)?
I really don’t have a preference on that tbh. Just as long the plot/gameplay is fun.
9. If you had infinite budget and nobody would make fun of you, 100% guaranteed, what is the most ridiculous outfit you would wear for Halloween?
Taco Belle! Oh they could make fun of me all they want, my love for tacos kicks embarrassment’s ass any day!
Tumblr media
10. What is your biggest guilty-pleasure in real life?  (eg. slowing down in front of tailgaters, acting dumb to frustrate rude customers, etc)
Watching A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master b/c anyone else I know doesn’t care for that one in the Freddy series but it’s my favorite one to watch out of the whole series (despite the fact that it has the one insect I can’t deal with and that is roaches, go figure huh?)
11. Why are you still on this shitty blue hellsite?
Ah there’s the most important question of them all! Mutuals/friends do play a huge factor in my staying here b/c I have come across some really nice and awesome people on here that I enjoy conversing with. I also like some of the content, fan art, and edits ppl post on here in my favorite fandoms. Also my blog is more like a scrapbook of all the shit I like so whenever I get stressed or need a break, I like to go thru my archives to see the stuff I’ve reblogged whether it be recently or back when I first joined. It’s also neat to see how your tastes and views can change over time as well with looking back and forward.
This hellsite does have SOME good things about it in the sea of negativity, you just gotta look hard sometimes and the ppl you befriend along the way make it easier.
Alright that’s it! I’m supposed to make up 11 questions and tag 11 ppl with it? Afraid I’ll have to break that chain and not do it b/c of having less time to do so but if anyone wants to do this, just use these same questions and say I tagged you.

The Happy Planner: Stuff I love, how I use it and more!
We have made it home from CHA/Creativation! Ashleigh & I had such a nice time! We met so many nice peeps and learned a ton about the craft industry. I only have a few photos from the show, both my camera & my phone were having some sort of meltdown which was super bad timing! But I do have a blog post planned with some of the neat products I tried and things I want to try in the future. I came down with pneumonia on Christmas and it has worn me out. I kept losing my voice which was embarrassing! I plan on catching up on a lot of sleep this weekend!
In November I went to Michael's and came across The Happy Planner. I saw them all over Instagram and thought they were pretty cute! But I was using a really nice Kikki.K for personal planning and a Rifle Paper planner for work planning. Michael's had a ton of cute planners, accessories, etc but I wasn't sure about the ring system. I'm notoriously hard on things and thought for sure I'd be losing pages! I ended up holding off until December when I scored a 60% off coupon + 20% off your total purchase. I picked up the Classic Minty Fresh because I really liked the dividers and the page colors. Since purchasing it, I've become totally obsessed! I thought I'd share it with you today along with some of my favorite supplies.
I use my Happy Planner as a combo of a personal daily planner + daily memory keeper. I use a lot of stickers, stamps, pens, scrapbook supplies and washi in my pages. It's a big mishmash of thoughts and journaling is something I really look forward to working on each day. I like to either spread everything out on my living room floor or just grab a few pens and curl up in my chair, writing away. It's cozy and a nice way to spend a little quiet time.
I totally admit that my personal life isn't all that exciting or busy and this is exactly what I struggled with when first using Hobonichi. It's easy to see journals and planners online and think your life doesn't quite compare. I've felt those thoughts. Trust me. But I've learned that for me, embracing the quiet makes me appreciate what I have so much more. I write about what books I'm reading, the weather, coffee with friends, shows Eric & I have watched, birds we've seen, outfit combos that I liked wearing along with practical things like grocery shopping, hair appointments, doctor's visits, etc. It's a collection of a lot of little moments that make up each day! Also: colorful!
Some of my pages have a ton of stuff on them and some don't have much at all. Blank spots are fine and I don't mind if things run into each other or off the page. I don't stress about it! It seems against the rules to be unhappy while working in a happy planner. ;) The above page was from last weekend, I had so much to share that it's just all over the place! I tested out inks from different manufacturers, stamps and pens at CHA on this page, stamped the Saguaro National Park Passport and printed a photo of Ashleigh's first roadrunner sighting, and more! It's all over the place and I like that.
The best part of The Happy Planner for me is how fast and easy it is to customize. I've made a bunch of covers by laminating pretty scrapbook paper, I've switched out the rings, I've made folders and dividers. I really like this aspect because I *adore* holiday things. I like that I can use a million Valentine's Day things and totally indulge in all the seasonal goodness!
I like to buy clip art from Creative Market for stickers and printables from Etsy. A few shops I've tried and have gotten really nice sets from are: ElysianPrintsCo, ilove2print and DesignLovelyStudio. I do have a Cricuit Explire Air 2 that I occasionally use for shaped stickers or cutting out folders (I use this cut file!) but mostly I print stickers and kiss cut them by hand with an exact-o knife. I find it relaxing in the evenings.
I've also purchased some stickers from Etsy that have been super cute! I really love the quality of CleverGirlCraft's foiled stickers, Honeyinked clear stickers, Virgoandpaper kits and Paperandmilk!
In 2015 Ashleigh & I fell down the rabbit hole of stamps. We spent so much time sending flurries of texts back and forth with wish lists of stamps. There are SO many cute stamps out there! Obviously I'm going to mention Waffle Flower Crafts first because Ashleigh designed stamps for them and they are super cute! ;) I'm not the best stamper but on my pages they are the cross stitch cactus and unicorn! I bought an ink set from them last weekend and I've really enjoyed stamping with it! It comes in a cute box which I like, I don't have a ton of room left in my craft cart so I appreciate self contained things. ;) I also really like Pinkfresh, Mama Elephant, and Lawn Fawn! This moon phase stamp is super high on my wishlist right now along with this Bear and Bird stamp set!
And I love fine pens! On JetPens website you can search gel pens and then tip size. I prefer .38 if possible. I have very messy handwriting and fine tip pens make it so I can fit more of it in a small space. ;) One thing I've recently become obsessed with are pens that have tinted black inks! Like Bordeaux Black! It's black but also super deep and rich wine color. They are based in California and I usually get my order within a day or two. I've also had great experiences with The Goulet Pen Company.
I found this cute little clear envelope at Staples! It's from the Martha Stewart discbound collection and I think it was around $4. I kept business cards and our business license in it last weekend and it was SUPER handy.
I am forever forgetting to use promo codes and coupons. I made this little folder and tucked all the things that expire next month right with the February divider so if I decide to buy something, I have everything all in one place!
And finally, a bit of happy mail. I've had my eye on this set of Field Notes for ages and finally bit the bullet! I have no idea what I'll write in them but sheesh, they are so beautiful!

Day 6: Alright! If you remember, when I started the Unintentional Fashion Blog,  I said that I own a couple of costumes and that I go to quite a bit of events that allow me to dress up in costume. Well, from time to time, I like to make costumes out of my normal clothing as opposed to buying pre-made costumes. Because, like I said in an earlier post, I am frugal. This weekend was Sacramento's SacAnime convention. This convention celebrates all things anime, amongst other interests. I only went to the convention for one day, but of course I had to dress up. I chose to dress up as Princess Morebucks from The Powerpuff Girls series and I looked no farther than my own closet to create this look. The yellow dress that I'm wearing is from the brand Glamorous and I bought it from Urban Outfitters about two years ago. It does have a very deep cut in the front, which I felt was inappropriate for this specific character, since she is supposed to be a child. To fix that I put a lace yellow tank top underneath. I got this tank top from Wet Seal about nine or ten years ago. For the black stripe, I wore a thick black belt which my mother gave to me. It was hers when she was younger. The black gloves were bought for my Senior Ball, but I cannot remember where I bought them. I also wore a simple pair of white tights with my pair of RLL black boots that I received as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I am wearing the same make up as I usually wear, except instead of my usual shade of red lipstick, I am wearing a lighter shade. This lipstick is the Hot Red color from Wet and Wild (also from the Dollar Tree). And lastly, my crown is made from scrapbook paper. Although this outfit is technically a costume, I do wear all of these articles of clothing, in other arrangements. I did notice that the tights were a bit small, so I will be getting rid of them,  but I will not be posting them on my eBay account or my Etsy account because they do have a lot of runs and holes in them. Other than that, I will be keeping the shoes, the tank top, and the dress.

14 Ways To ‘Travel’ Without Leaving Home
From cooking a dish from your favourite country, to watching a foreign film or binge-watching some travel documentaries, here are some ideas of travel experiences you can have from the comfort of your home.
We’re living in a pretty extraordinary time right now. Coronavirus (COVID-19) is the world’s biggest global health crisis of our lifetime. The virus is affecting our health, our economies and of course, our travel plans.
While I’d love to be able to wave a magic wand and make it all go away, it’s impossible. It’s time to sit tight, be respectful and careful, and plan for the future.
Planning future travels
Working in the travel industry I’m witnessing the effects of the crisis first-hand. My website traffic has halved as people aren’t travelling or planning trips. Hotel and tour bookings are down, and many that were taking place over the next few weeks have been cancelled. Some of my upcoming travel campaigns have been postponed until later in the year. My income is taking a hit, but it’ll be nothing compared to hotels and tour operators in places like China and northern Italy. It’s devastating to think about the businesses that won’t make it through this… and it’s not over yet.
I know a lot of you are also in limbo too. Plans are on hold for the foreseeable future… but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a travel experience of some sort, in your home! I’m not talking about cranking your heating up, putting on a bikini and pretending you’re in the Caribbean (although you could try that!)
The beautiful landscapes of Dominica
From cooking a delicious meal from a far-flung destination, to learning a language and enjoying some amazing travel documentaries, whether you’re self-isolating, or just waiting until travel restrictions are lifted, there are plenty of ways to give yourself a ‘travel experience’ from the comfort and safety of your own home.
14 Ways To ‘Travel’ Without Leaving Home
Cook a meal from a foreign country
One of my favourite things about travelling is the food. Nourishing bowls of Japanese ramen, silky Italian pasta, spicy Thai curries, Mexican tacos… the list goes on. What better way to enjoy a flavour of a destination in your own home, than by getting busy in the kitchen.
Thai curry night
I’m constantly coming across great recipes online. BBC Food is a great starting point – type in pretty much anything and you’ll find a recipe. Oh, and if you’re in quarantine right now at home, remember you can get your shopping delivered to your door!
For something a bit different, I’d recommend checking out The Spicery – a subscription box website, which delivers recipe kits through your letterbox. I ordered a curry subscription for Macca for Christmas, and each month a box arrives with a recipe and all of the spices to cook up an incredible feast. You just need to buy the main ingredients (meat, veg etc).
The Spicery – set
The thing I love is that they’re not standard dishes you’ll have tried before. Last month we made a curry from a specific region of Northern India, and our next is this potsticker recipe set from China’s Sichuan Province.
Another option is a company like Feast Box, which I’m hoping to try soon (I’ll let you know what I think!). This company specialises in world food recipe boxes, delivered to your door, and includes all of the ingredients (meat, veg, spices etc). Dishes on the menu this week include Indonesian fish in a banana leaf, chicken empanadas and harissa and vegetable flatbreads, so it’s a lovely way to eat your way around the world.
Oh, and if you want to go the extra mile, invite a few friends over, pop up some decorations, or ask everyone to wear an outfit that fits with the cuisine. I’ve got a sombrero you can borrow!
Binge watch some travel documentaries
Whether you have a Netflix or Amazon Prime subscription, or access to BBC iPlayer, you’ll find plenty of TV shows to satisfy your wanderlust. I absolutely adore the travel series Simon Reeve makes for the BBC. He gets under the skin of the destinations he visits, meeting locals and finding out the real issues people are dealing with. It won’t necessarily make you want to book a trip to where he is, but it’s a great way of understanding the world.
Other travel TV shows I’d recommend include Planet Earth and Seven Worlds, One Planet (can’t beat Attenborough), Anthony Bourdain’s shows (lots on Amazon Prime) and Race Across The World (BBC – loved series one and series two has just started).
Watch a foreign movie
A feel-good documentary film that I really enjoyed was Craigslist Joe, which follows a guy’s journey as he travels across America living off people’s generosity. It’s all about human connections, but it’s essentially about travel too.
Or if like me, you travel with your stomach, I’d recommend Street Food, Ugly Delicious and Chef’s Table (all on Netflix). Now that list should keep you going!
Print out your favourite travel photos or make a scrapbook
What better way to reconnect with your travels than to go look back through your adventures one photo at a time. I have a few travel journals from my first backpacking trips, which have tickets, photos and mementoes stuck in. As I get older, they’re lovely to flick through and remember all the little details and the people I met along the way.
Travel scrapbook
With everything online, we rarely print photos these days, so choose your fave snaps and pop them in frames or a scrapbook to look back at later in life. You can upload to a website like photobox and they’ll print them and post them to you.
Printing polaroids
Watch a foreign film
South Korean movie Parasite is one of the most talked about films of 2020, and it’s brilliant! Very funny – I found myself giggling a lot of the way through it. The fact it’s in Korean only adds to the experience. It’s transports you into a different country’s culture, and the language only adds to that.
Order a take away
Ok, this is the lazy option for those who want a travel experience at home, but don’t want to put much effort in! I’d recommend looking at your local takeaways and trying something brand new. If you usually order from the same Indian restaurant, how about trying Nepalese or Vietnamese food instead?
Vietnamese pho
I’ve just had a quick check to see what’s available in my area of London and was amazed to see over 45 different cuisines listed! Isn’t that incredible? Everything from Filipino and Turkish, to Iranian, Vietnamese and Syrian. It might not be good for my bank balance, but I guess I’m saving money by not travelling at the moment!
Chinese take away
Read a travelogue or a book that is set abroad
After finally switching from paperback books to a Kindle last year, I’m happy to say it goes absolutely everywhere with me. It’s liberating to have access to so many different books at the click of a button – perfect if you’re in quarantine right now and need some entertainment.
How about reading a travel-themed book? Somewhere that shares an epic journey or is set somewhere exotic? Whether you prefer fiction or non-fiction, here are a few to start you off…
On The Road – Jack Kerouac The Alchemist – Paulo Coelho Anything by Bill Bryson Step By Step – Simon Reeve Shantaram – Gregory David Roberts The Beach – Alex Garland Love With A Chance Of Drowning – Torre DeRoche Dark Star Safari: Overland from Cairo to Cape Town – Paul Theroux Eat Pray Love – Elizabeth Gilbert Anything by Levison Wood Tracks – Robyn Davidson Wild – Cheryl Strayed
The Alchemist, 25th Anniversary: A Fable About Following Your Dream
Price: $10.47
You Save: $6.52 (38%)

Learn a foreign language using an app
Ever since my first trip to Mexico, I dreamed of learning Spanish. How special to be able to converse with the locals and no doubt it’d help with tricky travel planning too. When I went backpacking I enrolled in Spanish school for a month and learned a lot of the basics.
My first steps in learning Spanish? Via the app Duolingo. I think it’s a brilliant way to start building up some vocabulary and basic phrases. The app is free, and has courses in Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Arabic, Czech, Danish, Hindi, Korean, Greek and more!
Learning Spanish using Duolingo
Watch YouTube videos from your favourite travel vloggers
YouTube is a great place for travel inspiration. Before I travel somewhere new, I often watch a few videos to get an idea of what it’s like. Even if you’re not travelling right now, watching videos is a great way to transport yourself to your dream destination.
One of my favourite channels for inspiration is Benn TK. His videos are so cinematic and beautifully filmed. Watching them makes me want to hop on a plane!
For the perfect mix of travel and food, check out my pal Shu’s channel or for backpacking around the world, Christianne a.k.a Backpacking Bananas will give you some serious wanderlust. I’ve got tonnes of others I could recommend too – so many of my friends are so talented when it comes to capturing a destination on camera, but start with those and email me if you want some more suggestions.
Oh, and don’t forget my own videos, right here on my YouTube channel.
Immerse yourself in the music of another destination
This is actually one of my favourite ways to get ready for a trip, but there’s no reason you can’t do it when you’re staying at home too. Did you know that Spotify has top charts for countries around the world?
Spotify top 50 by country
Just go to Browse, then select Charts and you’ll see the top 50 songs in each country. Enjoy the top reggaetón hits in Mexico, find out what’s hot in Thailand, and which artists the people of Poland love right now. Maybe you’ll discover a foreign artist you absolutely love?
Oh, and if the top 50 isn’t doing it for you, I’d recommend Buena Vista Social Club for some Cuban holiday vibes from the comfort of your home.
Musicians in Havana, Cuba
Research your dream trip on your fave travel blogs
So some of your travel plans may be on hold, postponed, cancelled or err, completely uncertain… but we can still dream and plan. With free time on your hands you can spend time researching everything you could possibly need for your next holiday, and be ready to act as soon as things go back to normal. You might even scoop a great deal.
Enjoying the beaches in Muscat
You can check out my Destinations page to find travel guides for all the amazing places I’ve travelled to. I’d also recommend looking at myTravel Inspiration page if you you’re still deciding where to go.
We’ll be heading away on a honeymoon at the end of 2020, so I’m starting to research ideas for that while I have some extra time on my hands.
Enjoying colourful Tokyo
Visit a top museum or gallery… virtually
Did you know that some of the world’s most famous galleries and museums have virtual tours? Wander the curvy interior of New York’s Guggenheim Museum using Google Street View or take a trip past the mummies and the rosetta stone in London’s British Museum. The Louvre in Paris also has a special virtual tour option on its website here.
The best part? No queues or tourists getting in your way! And you can visit in your pyjamas…
Tour the planet using Google Earth
When was the last time you looked at Google Earth? For me it was several years ago… I think when it launched! However, it’s a seriously cool tool, and gives you the opportunity to travel around the world from home.
Click on the ‘Voyager’ tab to see interesting categories in more detail – everything from learning about a specific destination, to taking a tour of literary locations around the world.
Google Earth – Voyager
Alternatively, hit the ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ button and be virtually transported to random destinations across the planet.
Have a go at making something from a different country
One of the things I’ve loved most on my travels has been creating something to bring home. Whether that was trying batik painting in Indonesia, or learning how to make goat’s cheese in Norwich a few weeks ago. It’s a lovely way to connect to a culture.
If you’re looking for things to try at home (especially if you’ve got kids to entertain), how about one of these…
Buy a sushi kit and learn how to make sushi  Buy some masks and decorate them in the style of Mexico’s Day of the Dead Make a Japanese hand fan Try your hand at calligraphy Create your own dreamcatcher
Making sushi at home
Making a dreamcatcher
Learning calligraphy
Mix up some exotic cocktails
At tough times I often turn to my shelf of Caribbean rums. They definitely help ease the pain! If you want to feel like you’re travelling, without leaving home, how about mixing up some tasty cocktails from around the world?
Lots of destinations have a famous signature drink, so you could try a different one each week! Here are a few suggestions to get you started…
Mojito, Daiquiri and Cuba Libre – Cuba Pisco Sour – Peru Bellini – Italy Sangria – Spain Caipirinha – Brazil Manhattan and Tom Collins – New York, USA Dark N Stormy – Bermuda Singapore Sling – Singapore Sidecar – Paris, France Margarita – Mexico
Stirring my passion fruit mojito

I hope this fun guide has given you some inspiration if you’re stuck at home or your travel plans have been postponed. Let me know if you have any more ideas I should add to the list!

My drawing looks like a five year olds self portrait, my painting isn't much better, but since around 14 I've been interested in Fashion: the colours, the shapes and the undeniable personalities. I've loved  watching, working in fashion and studying fashion and have along the way developed my own way of expressing my creative ideas. Originally, the only magazine I'd read with fashion in it was The Times weekend supplements. My dad bought the paper and I always had the magazine, I also read The Times LFW supplements at school in the library, that was before I had my own money to go out and get fashion magazines. My earliest fashion magazine memory is subscribing to Vogue and having it thud through the porch and onto the ground. I'd dive on it and mark the pages, writing notes and ideas on the advertisements, interviews and outfits I liked. I kept most of my Vogue catalogue until I came to move to university,  there just wasn't room for it. It was at that point I got serious about documenting my ideas, thoughts and page peels. I not only had a vogue backlog, I had boxes upon boxes of clippings, cut outs and bits and pieces I'd picked up at galleries, exhibitions, trade shows and shops. I was becoming a magpie for all things fashion that were creative, design led and drew me in. My down time at University in my first year (other than reading) was all about the magazines, the cutting out and scrapbooking collections together documenting the seasons beauty, fashion and lifestyle trends. I was very heavily focused back then on beauty and I'd say a huge chunk of my scrapbook collection was focused on beauty. As I developed my interests, the piles of documents grew and grew. These boxes became my source of inspiration, I'd create mood boards, scrapbooks and mock ups using text, images and layouts that I'd found on my travels.  My university friends would be able to tell you a bunch of stories about me and my mood boards rocking up to tutorials ,big boards in toe and no actual written report to show. I always start with the visuals and always end up with the report in the end! At some point in second year I started to digitalise my cut outs to save space and make them more accessible. I also started to scan parts of books and magazines straight in, rather than collecting paper in the bottom of my rucksack. Because of this I've got a fantastic library of bits and bobs: interesting fonts, layouts, styling pieces, colours and patterns to draw inspiration from and all available via a few clicks on my laptop. But it isn't as fun! I love the gluing and sticking part of creating collections. I want the best of both worlds, the tangibility as well as the digital aspects. Fast forward to now, when I've got some spare time on my hands. The boxes are coming out, the scissors are too and whilst watching scary documentaries on Netflix and sipping a cuppa, I'm wading through huge collections of paper to file ideas away for later digitalisation and mood boarding and despite collecting for years, I'd missed the most obvious and easy way to store them; in a ring binder. Simple and to the point. I'm poly pocketing trends or ideas together, popping a post it in to label them and putting them into a neutral and natural brown card A4 ring binder. It couldn't have been more simple and things are now so much easier to find! The binders I'm using are years old and made of recycled paper (Excellent, very sustainable) and the poly pockets plastic document holders I'm using are from my very extensive stationary collection I've be hoarding since I was about 8. It's not the most sustainable thing to use and I won't be buying anymore, but I have them already and it's better to use what you have rather than go out and buy more (Conscious consumerism, right here.) I am of course recycling all my paper and card offcuts through my local collection service. This week I've been focusing on Spring/ Summer 17 trends in fashion. All the cuts, colours, pattens and key designers. It's been nice to collate all the different magazine coverage together to see all the choices available this season. As I'm a conscious fashion consumer and very focused on sustainable and ethical fashion, these magazine cut outs allow me to develop and style pieces into outfits from my existing wardrobe to be on trend in a cost efficient, conscious way. Having ideas documented by trends, in a ring binder is so much better than in a large box full of paper all over the place and I'm surprised I didn't do it sooner, It's weird considering all other areas of my life are very much OCD central. Perhaps fashion makes me relax more? Unlikely.
Let me know If you'd like me to show you some of the collated scrapbook pieces and cut outs I've created and saved for the Spring/ Summer 17 trends! Otherwise, keep an eye on my social media channels for some product pictures, outfits and seasonal styling hints and tips throughout the season! Clo
