@agreekdemigod you have me thinking of my vague au where Sora takes the kids and skeddadles and, obviously, end up at the Baratie
Mostly when the kids are older, particularly when Sanji joins Luffy, because I love the idea that his siblings weren't there for it and then they come back and are shooketh over the fact that their littlest brother (somewhere Sanji sneezes) left on an adventure without saying goodbye!
This leads to Niji leaving for his own adventure (and ultimately joining the Kid pirates), but I am unsure of Ichiji, Yonji, and Reiju 🤔

Omg I’m having so many thoughts about the newer stuff of one piece.
These are all jumbled thoughts I came up with recently so it’s unstructured and probably doesn’t make any sense but fuck it
Masterlist for Determiation!
Spoilers for egghead
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Determination! Y/n and the seraphim’s would be so god damn interesting like yall won’t believe the sheer amount of ideas running through my head.
Like y/n accidentally running into the Seraphim’s in Egghead after getting separated from the straw hats and absolutely going still when they see S-String(I shall call him that since they’d yet to reveal his designation) and absolutely going into a blind haze where they apologize to him not realizing he’s not Doffy (or at least the Doffy that they feel like they failed).
And it’s there that their dragged to meet the other Seraphim’s
Maybe it was programmed into them to find and retrieve y/n, maybe even protect them.
So the young lunarian children linger by y/n’s side and naturally become curious. Because how can they not be? Especially when all their lives so far had been carried out in a lab, born from artificial wombs that fashioned them of DNA stolen from various people and a species long dead and forgotten.
How can they not be curious when this person they were ordered to retrieve and protect knew of who they were cloned of. Knew more about them than they did themselves outside their programming.
So the children ask questions and they learn
Maybe S-Snake asks about her “mother”, being the only girl had always been a bit lonely for her even when her “brothers” had done their best to make sure she knows she’s accepted. So she wonders about Boa, and how she had come from an island full of women. What was that like? Would they still brush her hair like S-Bear does? Or pat her head for doing a good job like S-Shark did?. She asks about if she was as pretty as Boa, if she was good enough for her “mother” if they ever would meet, a bit of insecurity for the first time curling up in her stomach before y/n says that Boa would love her no matter what, accept her no matter what. Because Boa would never turn down a woman in need, let alone a little girl that was imprisoned such as she was. In that sense she finds a comfort in you, especially as you indulge in things her brothers would usually sigh at but agree to anyways. Without a hassle you let her do little shows where she shows off her fire or make small drawings with the limited art supplies they have. When S-Snake draws you with her and the other Seraphim your heart squeezes ever so slightly.
Maybe S-Hawk has y/n teach him the techniques that Mihawk had taught them when on his island. In a sense he’s curious of his “father” but hides it away as he’d rather die than openly admit the gnawing questions in his mind. When y/n lets him use the blade gifted by Mihawk he can’t help but instinctively rub his thumb over the hilt where the greatest swordsman initials lay carved, a smile also instinctively crawling up the clones face. When his “siblings” become too much and he wants peace and quiet y/n lingers by his side, a silent company that he appreciates as memories not of his own of similar occasions plague his mind. He usually doesn’t enjoy these influx of memories but these ones are peaceful, not filled in bloodshed but instead of a small garden full of ripe fruits he doesn’t know the names of as well as the times in which he narrowly helps them escape an accidental death that may or may not leave S-Hawk on his toes and leads to his presence lingering by your side.
S-Shark notices that y/n seems the most comfortable with him though he knows it makes sense since they’re apart of the crew his progenitor joined. He doesn’t know how to feel about Jinbe, but he does retain a certain sense of respect for him even before he learns more about the fishman and how much he fought for his people. Much like the others he has a sense of curiosity of the world but his is specifically towards the sea, moreso a place where gilled people and pretty women with fish tails lived. That placed seemed so different compared to egghead, more lively and colourful in a way he can’t describe. He cherishes those memories no matter how hazy and unfocused they are, so seeing y/n show him the brightly coloured shells and small bits of coral really make his day. S-Shark knows he can’t go in the ocean on account of the green blood he possesses but he can’t help but wonder. Y/n occasionally clings to him in a way that feels natural, and it’s almost second nature that when this happens he lets them do so without complaint.
S-Bear even before using his ability feels pin roll off you in waves he couldn’t quite comprehend, as if your small body similar to their own could not contain the amount of emotional and physical agony, it cracks and spills from the seems of you that have been restitched and reattached like a doll. It’s scary, but somehow the most terrifying thing is that you retain a smile despite it all. It doesn’t affect you outwardly and maybe even inwardly at most times but it’s there and it lingers around you like an ever-present rain cloud about to burst into a storm. It saddens him, and it reminds him of memories of a pink haired girl he cannot place the name of. Too young to experience such heartache and at the same time her eyes are old and withered from everything that had happened. A child who acts older than their real age because they have to, not because they want to.
S-String notices that there’s a certain kind of Resigned sadness and almost a sense of hope with y/n’a eyes, yet they can never look at him fully without flinching. It confuses him, especially since despite that they treat him with such kindness even when he purposefully acts out or teases the others or them. S-String does not get as many memories compared to the others, most of which are locked away and repressed for some reason but what he does somewhat remember from his “father” is blissful moments of childhood with a boy he cannot name and y/n. This leaves him more confused, these were happy memories yet why do they look at him (and by extension his “father” with such sadness?). So at some point he asks And it’s there that S-String comes to dislike the man that made up his genetic makeup. Because for as much as the others got on his nerves sometimes S-Flamingo loved his “family”, loved his “Sister” and “Brothers” more than he’d like to admit. So hearing that the man he was cloned after harmed his family, and harmed the only person in their lives that had shown him and his siblings any sense of normalcy struck him. That man is the reason why they can’t properly look him in the eye both out of fear and a sense of failure, that man is a reason for their overwhelming pain that night even S-Bear cant comprehend, that man is the reason they broke down when they first saw him and kept apologizing for failing him. S-Stribg isn’t sure as to what happened to you and his predecessor but S-String knows you had not failed him nor his siblings, and he has a feeling you hadn’t failed Doflaimgo but rather he failed you.
S-Sand feels towards y/n a more than ordinary sense of curiosity that plagues his mind. Something he feels is a lingering emotion from his progenitor as he quietly watches and listens to you. It’s odd to him the flippant attitude towards death, something he’s pondered about as the dried out bodies of those who tried to enter egghead lay on the ground. He understands that your immortal, death isn’t much of a good deal to you yet you regard it in such a way that it bothers him. Why do you not seem to care when you tell a story of being ripped from limb to limb or left to bleed out. Surely that’s not something that was fun to experience let alone all the other instances in which you’d died via starvation on the sea or dehydration. Those things hurt, and in that regard you must be hurting all the time if not physically then mentally. Because of that like Mihawk he lingers, first due to curiosity and then out of a certain protectiveness that feel much less like programming and real. When on a mission they feel nothing, more in an empty minded state rather than truly conscious. They don’t feel fear let alone worry but for you he does, and he’s slowly seeing the others feel it too.
S-shadow just finds y/n to be cool’s ngl lol (I don’t know much about Moria so I don’t know how to write for him let alone his seraphim)
Maybe at some point y/n promises them that they’ll one day be free of orders that circulate in their heads
Free to use their wings in a real sky that’s not simulated
And maybe the Seraphim feel a spark of something at those words in their souls
The young lunarian children never thought that they had souls, had the to privilege to posses one when they were clones with no free will, remakes of others who were real people and could make decisions themselves.
But suddenly they find the words of a promise resonate within them, staying there in Suddenly full chests that should just have had it echo due to their emptiness. But the promise stays
And they silently dream of that promise
A place where they could be free
A place where they weren’t poked and prodded at
A place where they could call each other by “brother” and “sister” in full confidence
A place where they may choose their own names
A place where they could experience this idea of “family” that they often pondered about from memories not their own
A place where y/n would teach them all they’d need to know about the world before they’d one day take it by storm
A place where they’d make safe for both themselves and the person they found wanting to protect even without the orders issued by the pacifista

One piece Straw Hats x Ex-Roger Pirates Crewmember!Giyuu!Reader
Like they might meet Reader when they first go to Sabaody Archipelago, when they first meet Rayleigh, and Reader is their too. Still strong as fuck-
-It had been so many years since that day, where you lost your captain, Roger, him being executed and starting the next generation of pirates, looking for One Piece, his legendary treasure.
-It also had sent many looking for the members of your crew, with hopes they could entice you or one of the others into joining their own crew, so you all could tell them where One Piece was.
-You refused all offers, as you felt like it would be betraying your captain, and if they got more forceful with you, they quickly learned that you were was more powerful than you looked, and water-based powers in the ocean made you very dangerous.
-The only person you had thought about, when he asked you, was Shanks, when he started off his own crew, as you knew he wouldn’t disrespect Roger’s work. Shanks wanted you as an advisor, as you were more of a seasoned warrior than he was.
-In the end you did refuse, opting to travel the world on your own, but Shanks wasn’t bothered, as he knew you wouldn’t accept, but he told you there was always a place for you.
-You knew this as well, because whenever your paths crossed, he would always welcome you with food and drinking. Lots of drinking. You had no idea Shanks’ liver was so strong that he could drink like a fish.
-Your world tour led you to Shabody Archipelago once again, but you didn’t mind, as you knew Shakky was there, and you knew that Rayleigh likes hanging around there as well.
-When you entered the bar, you didn’t see Rayleigh, but Shakky was quick to come from behind the bar and embrace you, welcoming you back.
-It felt warm, and you gave her a small smile as you gave her a small hug in return, greeting her quietly before she returned to make you a drink, catching you up on anything big that you’ve missed in the past few years since your last visit.
-Rayliegh was at the amusement park, but you didn’t feel like going there, at least at the moment, choosing to stay here where it was quiet.
-It was quiet for a short while, and when the door opened, you weren’t expecting to see that upstart kid you’ve been seeing so much of, Straw Hat Luffy, with some of his crew.
-Brook was amazed to see you, as he knew you, knowing your abilities. It was a bit strange, having a skeleton introduce himself to you, followed by a talking reindeer.
-You looked down at the booze Shakky gave you and she gave you a smart chop to the top of your head, leaving a lump which left you pouting slightly.
-Luffy was amazed to meet you, “Can I ask you a question?” you felt bad, he looked so happy, but you knew the question, as everyone asked it, and you knew you had to turn him down as he beamed, “How big was Roger’s ship?”
-You paused, hearing the question and you gave him a small smile, “It was massive, almost as big as Whitebeard’s ship.” Their eyes were all sparkling brightly, it was like you were talking to a group of children, it was rather endearing honestly.
-You’re not sure how it happened, but you got talked into going with them, to look for Rayleigh, as they kept asking you questions about adventures and how things were before the pirate boom after Roger’s death.
-This was refreshing, talking to this crew that you knew was strong, their bounties were proof of that, and you couldn’t help but feel curious as to what they were going to do in the future.
-You could feel it, that Luffy and his crew were going to do great things, you just had to be patient to see it.
-When you heard about the attack on the auction house, after you and Luffy’s group split, promising to meet back up at Shakky’s, you were stunned to hear what Luffy did. This kid was obnoxiously ballsy!!
-It reminded you a lot of Roger, maybe that’s why you liked him so much.
-After learning of the crew’s decision to train for two years, you and Rayleigh, after you met up with him, moved their ship to be closer to Shakky’s, so Rayleigh could coat it once he was done training Luffy.
-You agreed to remain with the ship, protecting it from would be thieves and from the marines, who thought it would be an easy mark.
-When a group of marines tried to demand you explain yourself, on why you were protecting it, you just drew your sword, a sharp look in your eyes, “I’m protecting the ship that will carry tomorrow’s legends, and if you want me to move, come and make me.”
-When the crew arrived back two years later, the ship in pristine condition, Luffy was elated to see that you were there, seeing that you had kept the ship safe.
-Luffy beamed brightly at you when you went to leave, “And where do you think you’re going? You’re a member of my crew, aren’t you?”
-You smiled softly, turning back to him with a chuckle, “You really are just like him.” The crew cheered loudly as you stepped back onto the ship, shaking hands with Luffy, “I’m curious what you are going to do in our coming days, captain.”
-Luffy just beamed brightly at you, turning to point outwards to the sea, “Let’s go!!”

OMGOMGOMGOMG I HAVE BEEN WAITING SO LONG FOR YOUR INBOX TO BE OPEN I LIVE YOUR WRITING!!! I wanted to see if i could request a witch reader x the straw hats??? Like imagine if Eda and Rain from The Owl House had a kid that acted like Luz. Like how she always wants to stand up for others and is kind, but also pretty innocent and naive at times. Like if Sanji flirted with her she wouldn't really understand that he's flirting.I could imagine her also having a little friend like owlberrt or at least an owl staff. Also like her mother her hair is kinda like a mini pocket dimension that she shoves things in
but instead in this universe the day unity is a day where a bunch of witch hunters come to their island and kills all of them but she somehow manages to survive. Like it would happen a few years or so before she encounters the straw hats. When she meets them it does take her a while still to tell them her full past thought. She meets them on some random island running from some local store owner because like her mother, she is a trouble maker but she's not as good at stealing. With the fact that her parents died and couldn't teach her much, all she has is old books and journals from both of them. Which mean that she's not that good at magic and messes up her spells a lot
i'm sorry if this is confusing i've just had this idea in my head for MONTHS and in crappy at explaining things D:
Again im sorry if this is to much or confusing i just really want to see your ideas of some HCs for this.
Tumblr media
a meme for your collection (if you have one lol)
─Strawhats x witch!reader
─Summary: Some unfortunate events make you meet what you can consider a second family.
─Warnings: none
YEEEE thanks for contributing to the collection of cursed memes on my pinterest, I love it <3, sorry for the delay, I also had to look up information about the owl house because I didn't watch the series and f I changed a little how they met, sorry for that too 😔
Tumblr media
─ Not even you know how you managed to survive the witch hunt that day, but here you are now, sailing on a wooden plank with a backpack that doesn't even have food or water but a couple of books on spells.
─ At first it was a small boat but you tried to cast a spell so that the wind was in your favor and you turned the small boat into a piece of plank, you were not a very experienced witch but you survived.
─ Your eyes lit up and you screamed with all the strength you could when you saw a ship.
─ Your first thought was to try to steal one of the emergency ships, but you ruled it out when you saw the crew, you weren't that clever and it seemed like they had nothing to do with the witch hunt.
─ The first to see you was Usopp who was fishing when you scared him to death, the others noticed you once they saw you wave your arms strangely (you were trying to do magic but nothing came out)
─ You complement Luffy quite well once you start interacting with the crew, Nami probably scolds you a lot because he asks you to do some magic and it ends up going wrong.
─ Last time you transformed Sanji's face into a trout for trying to make Luffy's portion bigger, you're lucky that the cook likes your presence, although you completely ignore his strange behavior when he is with girls.
─ You and Zoro have small competitions to keep your pride high over any nonsense, like a healthy rivalry (you both end up lost in the strangest places).
─ Probably and, despite not understanding anything about magic, Robin will help you with some spells here and there, she is a cultured woman and she seems to understand some descriptions much more than you.
─ Usopp repaired your cane when you chipped it once, you thanked him because he reinforced it so it wouldn't break again.
─ You and Chopper go out to look for ingredients together, whether to make medicines or potions.
─ Jinbe is curious about your culture and your home island as well as other sorcerers, you can spend hours talking about witchcraft with him, Franky and Brook will join in sometimes.
─ When you take the courage to tell them why you were alone with nothing and adrift, they feel a little sorry for you, If you don't plan to stay here with them, you will be welcome whenever you want and If you want to continue with them, you are already part of the crew!
─ For once you feel that you are advancing in your process of learning as a magician, feeling indebted to these pirates, you decide to help as much as you can and improve your skills even more.

It's Just business 5: Cleaning
TADAAAA
Fandom: One Piece (LA mainly)
Rating: Teen so far
Pairing: Sanji/Reader
Warnings: No real warnings, but god, I hope you like pining
Summary: You felt like you had known Sanji forever, considering your family had been the main merchants Zeff used to supply the Baratie. You had a small crush on him, but knew it was hopeless considering you were the one woman he didn't seem to pine over.
It was fine. Or so you thought until you ended up on the Going Merry as a bookkeeper and supply manager. Being around him 24/7 was a lot more difficult than just a few days a week.
(Please note 》°《 denotes a scene in the past while -*- will be a regular scene break. Because yeah, I like my non-linear story telling.)
Masterpost | Ao3
Cleaning
Sanji was lost in thought as he cleaned the galley after breakfast. Granted, there wasn't much. Zeff had drilled it into him to clean as he went. He did more out of habit, as well as allowing himself the time to think.
He was overjoyed that you had joined the Straw Hat crew despite your obvious hesitancy. Leaving Baratie and Zeff was one thing-- it was hard but also freeing. Like a bird leaving the nest once it was fully fledged, and taking flight to find its own way in life.
But leaving you? That hadn't sat so well in his chest. Despite not actually being in his day-to-day life, you were still a constant. He had counted the days passing on the Baratie by how many more until you returned.
The mere idea of not seeing you for who-knew-how-long had terrified him. Never seeing your smile again, or being able to wrap you in his arms tight and feeling you all but melt against him as you squeezed him back? It would be a nightmare.
Thank the gods you decided to follow. He had been over the moon when you conceded; you and him, finding the All Blue. Together, just as he often dreamt.
He hadn't really given much thought as to why you caved despite your initial reluctance. But after last night…
-*-
"So why are you flirting so much with Nami when you already have a girlfriend?"
Everyone in the men's quarters froze at Usopp's sudden question. Sanji was convinced he had misheard him, which - considering they were all getting ready for bed - was understandable, and asked: "I'm sorry, what?"
Usopp fidgeted, obviously uncomfortable with everyone's attention now on him and the tense feeling in the air. "I mean, you've been flirting with Nami kinda hard. Like, full-on heart eyes whenever our navigator is even mentioned. So do you and our new helmsman-slash-bookeep have like, and open relationship, or…"
Sanji laughed despite the uncomfortable feeling of his face growing warm. "God no, nothing like that. We're just close friends is all."
The silence didn't ease any, and all three men were staring at him now. "What?" Sanji finally asked. "Do you have a problem with that?"
"Just the fact it's bullshit," Zoro muttered, one eye opened from his own hammock.
Sanji crossed his arms. "Well I wouldn't expect you to know much about having friends."
"Nah. Zoro's right," Luffy added. "You two are closer than friends."
He was definitely blushing by now, and the urge for a cigarette was itching at him. "I assure you, we are not. There is nothing romantic between us."
Which, that was a half-truth. He couldn't deny the fact he was still in love with you, at least not to himself. He was convinced no matter what, he was always going to love you. But you had made it clear you weren't interested in him that way, and he'd respect that.
"Like I said, bullshit."
-*-
Why had you decided to change your mind? Was it simply that the bonds of friendship were that strong, and you were already wavering that his request had broken your resolve?
Sanji had given up on you returning his feelings years ago. He had flung himself into trying to find those same emotions in other women in an attempt to cover up the ache from the realization no matter what he did, you never believed he was being serious.
That plan had worked - for the most part - back at the restaurant. It had only ached a little bit when you and him would steal a bottle of wine and escaped to the back deck to catch up. To hear your laughter echo across the night, cheeks darkened from the alcohol. Or the fact you would end up cuddled to his side after a few drinks, desperate for human touch after being by yourself for such long periods of time. He couldn't help but indulge in the chance. Arm slung over your shoulder, dreaming of what-ifs and maybes as you would both lapse into companionable silence. Pressing a kiss to your forehead when he could tell you were on the verge of sleep before gently encouraging you to bed.
And now he was going to be around you everyday; hearing that laugh, seeing that smile... Nami was a beautiful woman, but she had nothing on the way your face lit up with delight as you bantered back and forth. How you literally would try to bite back a smile while pretending to be upset.
How was he supposed to keep his heart contained? If the rest of the crew already thought you were romantically involved, surely you would catch on as well. That the indulgent touches, his pet names, all of it wasn’t as platonic as you believed.
Would there be that disgust in your expression like when you caught him flirting with others--Nami included? Would you be angry? Or would you laugh in his face before pity overcame your expression and you told him you would never feel that way for him?
Could he even dare to hope that maybe, despite everything, you’d blush shyly and smile at him? Or-- more likely-- smack his arm while burying your face against him as you were prone to do when embarrassed.
God, if only.
Sanji was pulled out of his thoughts as the door opened and you wandered in, face reddened by the sun and wind. "Damn, you've really been busy. I expected at least a few of Luffy's dishes left."
Sanji smiled as he threw the dish towel over his shoulders before leaning against the island separating you. "It's easy to clean when he doesn't leave anything but crumbs. Were you going to come help, or do you have something else on your mind?"
You shrugged your shoulders as you leaned against the island as well, mimicking his pose. "Mmm, sorta? Mostly just missing the covered helm of my ship, to be honest. I'm going to be sunburnt as hell, but also I just wanted to come bother you." Your smile grew as you winked. "Just think, I get to be a pain in your ass all the time now."
That damned smile of yours was going to be the death of him, yet at the same time he knew he'd die a happy man. "How ever am I going to survive the horror of being stuck on a ship with two lovely women as well as being the boss of my own kitchen?" He teased back, delighted as your face turned darker yet and you looked away.
"You dork," You scoffed. "You would be in seventh-heaven right now. I can't believe we're heading to the freaking Grand Line. As pirates. My parents are probably swearing up a storm right now."
Sanji chuckled as he turned to start making you something to help cool you down. "I'm still surprised you agreed. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy as well, just surprised."
"Yeah, well, I seemed to recall saying something about you being stuck with me forever."
His smile grew as he remembered that promise-- shortly after your parent's death as you decided to continue their work. He knew you had no interest in working the Baratie; you weren't one to stay in one place for long, nor were you fond of the large crowds.
He had been so worried it meant he would never see you again --that you would sail away one last time, never to return. He hadn't been able to keep himself from pulling you against him tight, mentally thanking every deity yet again when you decided to keep your parent's transport route.
"And I said you'd never be alone." Sanji poured the ice drink into a glass and handed it to you, smiling softly as you met his gaze. He meant it back then, as well as now. Even if it ended up killing him.
》°《
One of the cooks had left out a bottle of Brandy. And well, Sanji had been assigned to clean up for the night, and you had decided to ‘keep him company.’
Teenagers did stupid things, and neither of you were immune to that fact.
The kitchen was roughly cleaned, though Sanji could admit he spent more time talking with you, leaning against the same counter you sat on - especially once he mastered mixing up Brandy Alexanders. The more the late hours wore on, the more Sanji was entranced with you. Watching your eyes catch the light from the overhead lamps, or run your tongue along your lips to catch a bit of the creme from your drink.
Sanji would be willing to argue you had started things first; when you leaned forward so you could play with his hair, your fingers stroking his cheek softly... He wasn't sure what enticed you, but held still as if afraid moving would scare you away.
Yet when you finally met his gaze, cheeks flushed as you bit your lower lip, Sanji couldn’t help himself. He leaned closer, one arm braced on either side of your hips before brushing his lips against yours. He could taste the chocolate still on your lips, making him sigh as he pulled away.
Your hand wrapped around his tie, stopping him. There was a challenging glint in your eye as you pulled him close for another kiss.
Sanji swore he had died and gone to heaven as he indulged himself. Kissing you properly like he had always dreamed about, tasting the remnants of drink on your lips along with your own natural taste - that was better than any meal he had tasted. His hands moved to your thighs, squeezing the soft flesh lightly as he pulled you closer, so tempted to see if he could convince you to part them so he could step closer still; to have those strong legs wrap around his waist, to press his hips against yours…
Except before he could push his luck, you pulled away, gasping for breath. “Wait. Stop.”
He groaned, but rested his forehead against yours as he placed his hands back on the counter. “What’s wrong?” He asked, though silently swore to himself that if you hinted he was a bad kisser again…
“It’s just… too much,” You whispered. “We-we’ve had too much to drink. This isn’t us.”
Sanji leaned back, his eyes meeting yours. He wanted to confess that this was exactly what he had always wanted - that this was what he wanted as much as finding the All Blue. But even in the haze of bliss and brandy, he could see the hesitancy - the fear - in your eyes, and it cut him straight to the core.
He gripped the edge of the counter tightly as he forced a smile. “As my lady wishes.” He pressed a lingering kiss to your forehead before stepping back, offering a hand as you slid down from the counter. “Do you want me to walk you back to your ship?”
You shook your head, face flushed. “No. But… thank you.”
Watching you walk away was like cutting his own heart out, but he stood strong as he shoved his hands in his pocket.

I've become increasingly curious about Moxie/pos
How'd she join the crew? How did she and Sanji enter a relationship?
Also-how much did Moxie want to fight Pudding during WCI? (I'd personally love to see Sanji's reaction to Moxie potentially lashing out at Pudding for forcing him into an unwanted marriage. I bet he'd feel so loved by her.)
Take care!
Oooo! A lore question! Some steaming hot lore coming up for you. >:D
Also sorry this is going to be super long. She's got a ton of lore and it wouldn’t make sense if I only said bits and pieces of it. Sorry buddy. Thank you for asking me these questions! Make me happy I get to talk about my lore! 😭
Moxie joining the crew was a long process. But let me try to sum it up to the point where it makes sense.. Basically Moxie and Sanji knew each other from a while back. Moxie and her 7 brothers would often go to the Baratie and eat together. Moxie’s waiter was Sanji and it was love at first sight for the both of them (however neither wanted to really admit it but they gave out pretty big hints haha). Moxie and Sanji would often sneak off together and flirt. Sanji would make her food behind Zeffs back and would let her taste test it. They had a really flirty relationship but never got to the point of dating. Eventually one day Moxie and her brothers stopped coming to the Baratie and started their life together as pirates. They called themselves “the Flaming Red pirates” and turned out to be pretty horrible shitty people. Years later Moxie and Sanji reunited at an island called Possibility Island (a fan made island made by me) . Basically this is an island where people go if they wanna get famous and it’s filed with celebrities etc. (I have way more lore about why moxie went there and etc but this is about Moxie and Sanji haha) Moxie and Sanji reunited by… well Moxie robbing the Straw hats ship with a few of her brothers. Moxie had no clue Sanji was a part of the Straw hats, so their reunion was uhhh very awkward to say the least. Either way they were happy to see each other and yada yada. Moxie even forced her brothers to give back the stolen loot haha. Long story short.. Moxie’s eldest brother and captain was incredibly abusive towards Moxie and attempted to kill her multiple times with his devil fruit ability. Eventually Sanji found Moxie beaten up and bruised in a dumpster and decided to take her back to his ship where they would nurse her back to health. Eventually Moxies eldest brother found out about it and fought all the Straw hats to try and get Moxie back. He lost the fight and the Straw hats left Possibility Island and took Moxie with them. They sorta forced her to join their crew because they wanted to protect her from her brother. It was Sanji’s idea, he really cares about Moxie
Next part! Ever since Moxie joined the straw hats she was a complete and total mess. She was very depressed and everyone just felt sad for her. Sanji was trying his very best to keep Moxie happy and it wasn’t really working.. until Moxie told him one of the things that could help her is if he held her. Sanji was absolutely shocked by her request because it’s not every day where a beautiful woman just asks to cuddle with him. Sanji thought her request was strange but he told he’d do anything to make her happy and that he’d cuddle with her as much as she’d like. Ever since Moxie and Sanji had this little arrangement Moxie became a lot happier and so did Sanji. They were always cuddling with each other and acting overly affectionate with each other. They were both incredibly touch starved so this was like a dream come true to them.
Eventually Moxie accidentally confessed to Sanji by saying she loved him when she was just randomly zoning out and staring at him. She then quickly took her confession back and said “just kidding” (because bitch was insecure and was afraid of Sanji rejecting her) and broke Sanji’s heart. He wouldn’t speak to her for the whole day because he felt like she was playing with her feelings. Eventually she found out what she did wrong by Franky pointing out that Sanji loved her back and she had no reason to take back her confession. She then got the confidence she needed and confessed to Sanji the right way. And he gladly accepted. They then went on their very first date the next day. A start to their beautiful relationship.
Ah… Whole Cake. Hahah. You’re right about Moxie throwing hands. She’s very aggressive when she gets angry and boy she was pissed at Pudding. When Moxie first met Pudding which was with Luffy,Chopper, Brook and Nami at Cafe Caramel … she immediately throat-punched Pudding when she figured out she was Sanji’s bride to be. Luffy and Nami had to pull her off her before she did any more damage. She then called Pudding out on her fake personality because she could tell she was putting on an act because Moxie had a lot experience in acting and deceiving. Nobody believed Moxie was telling the truth about Pudding being a fake, so Moxie stormed off and left the crew. Moxie then finds her own way to save Sanji from the wedding with Pudding. She then goes to Germas base and ends up seducing Sanji’s brother Yonji into giving her Germa technology. Eventually Yonji falls heads over heels for Moxie and invites her as his plus one to the wedding. Moxie shows up at the wedding with Yonji and Sanji was absolutely pissed. He kept giving Moxie and Yonji the stink eye the entire time, wondering what the hell she was doing with his brother. Eventually the moment came where Pudding and Sanji were about to kiss and Moxie stealthily climbed up and gets on top of the cake. Just as Sanji saw Puddings eye, Moxie grabs Pudding and headbutts her as hard as she can and knocks her unconscious. She then tells everyone that Sanji is hers and that if she doesn’t have her way and get Sanji back she will blow up the entire wedding venue with a Germa 66 bomb she got from Yonji and kill everyone. And yes Sanji was very flattered from her actions haha. Until he realized how severe the situation was that is- Eventually the crew steps in and everything goes the way it does canonly. Moxie just had to have her little moment. Eventually at the end of Whole Cake Moxie finds out about Pudding kissing Sanji.. and let’s just say Pudding doesn’t have her third eye anymore. 🤣
Anyways thanks for the question! I hope my answers were satisfactory enough! 💞

Honestly? While there's no doubt that Luffy fucked up in Whiskey Peak? Like 80% of the outrage and 100% of the accusations of "ooc"ness come from 1) the misconception of Luffy being this super intuitive guy leading to him being put on an altar, and 2) a refusal to allow him any emotional depth.
To start off – Luffy's not that intuitive. The closest thing to it is what the crew call his "animal instincts" in Water 7, where he predicts that he will have to fight Rob Lucci, like he predicts other fights before and after. Only – is that really what happens? He "just knows"? Because, from what I remember, he very clearly identifies him as the leader and the strongest member of CP9 (#366: "of all the people we'll be fighting in a little while, the strongest is that pigeon guy! I'l definitely be the one to send him flying!"). Of course he assigns himself to fight him. That's his reasoning every other time, as well. At times (certainly not often, but sometimes), he demonstrates actual strategic thinking, like with Moria.
I think a lot of people want to think that Luffy "intuits" the Straw Hats' potential or even their pasts when he asks them to join, but we don't see any evidence of that. What we do see is a lot of instances where Luffy witnesses good things about his friends, both in terms of skill and of character. In Brook's case, he literally just went "talking skeleton cool cool cool cool cool". And that's all. It might be hard to swallow that some of the deepest and strongest bonds we see in the series, the most important ones and the cornerstone of the story, are based on something as flimsy as "hee hee I like you be my nakama", that Luffy didn't somehow know that they needed to be taken in. But that's just the way it is. Hell, if it had been solely up to him, Kureha, Iceberg and a bunch of random zombies without a will of their own who were trying to kill them would be part of the crew.
I think that what happens is that Luffy is very undiscerning and undemanding about who can join the crew or even sail with them (he also let Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9 go with them without a fuss, same with the Franky Family, who he only knows from, you know, having beat up Usopp and stolen 200mil berries from them) and we want to think that there's some deeper reason for it. We know that it's nothing rational, because we're not so detached from what's happening on the page, so that leaves some kind of instinct telling him that these are the right people. It's a nice idea – it gives Luffy some unconventional wisdom to make up for his lack of it otherwise and fits well with his upbringing in the jungle.
But there's not really anything special about the people he picks up, except the fact that he picks them up. Not in the sense that they're special because of him, but that they become special to him. That's the real reason why he goes after Nami and Robin and Sanji when they leave. It's not that, oooh, he can sense how tortured and traumatized they are and that deep down they're good people. Nah – he just believes them when they say they are his people, so he refuses to abandon them.
And, okay, this might seem damning in the context of Whiskey Peak, because where was this faith when it came to Zoro, who arguably earned it more than anyone else in the crew? To be honest, that's one of the points where I'll concede that Luffy fucked up the most, but there is another matter at play here: everyone else claimed to be on his side, or at least be a certain kind of person, before apparently turning on him. He chose to believe that original impression out of loyalty.
Not only is Luffy not that discerning, he is known for being a sucker for deception. He can't lie, and he's so honest that most of the time he can't even conceptualize that someone might be lying to him. ("Are you going to betray me?" "No." *grins*) The idea that he could just... take a look at someone and divine either good or evil intent goes directly against canon. He gets taken in by CP9, by Kanjuro, hell, he buys that King Cobra betrayed Alabasta as Vivi is telling him of how Crocodile manipulated them.
And that leads me into Whiskey Peak and point 2.
Before we start, think back to Wano, if you would. (If you haven't reached Wano, don't worry, the spoilers in this paragraph are very light.) Imagine that, after spending the day with Tama, and Tsuru, and Kiku, and the rest of the village who gave up their scarce supplies to feed them, Luffy and Zoro go to sleep. The morning after that, Luffy wakes up to a massacre. Everyone, and I mean everyone, has been cut down. The people who helped them, the people who he was talking and laughing with just a few hours ago, dead or near enough. He recognized Tsuru among the pile of bodies and she still has some breath left, so he asks who did it.
Basically, imagine sympathetic victims to the Whiskey Peak massacre.
When we read Whiskey Peak, we know there's something fishy going on. For starters, it's Miss Wednesday and Mr. 9's town, which makes it suspicious enough. Then, before the attack, we see them writing a letter saying that they wanted the Straw Hats to go there, making it obviously dangerous. This is without even getting into the clear threat evident to us readers because we know this is a story and that there's no way the heroes will have it that easy. We mistrust and refuse to sympathize with the Whiskey Peak inhabitants from the start. Until the reveal that Vivi's undercover, they're enemies and future meatsacks to us. We forget that that's not the case for the Straw Hats. Especially, that's not the case for Luffy, who takes everyone at face value.
I think a lot of people maybe get too caught up in their image of Luffy as a sort of chaos, "do things for the laff" entity who'll liberate you from tyranny in exchange from food, so they don't realize that there might be emotional, non-transactional reasons for his behavior. That he feels thankful to the people who help him, because he's survived on the kindness of others all his life and he would've died without it (and if you think that doesn't apply now that he's a pirate, go back to read the Baratie arc). That he might get attached to the people who are kind to him and others. That, even if he doesn't feel affection for them, he'll still be outraged when their kindness is met with cruelty by others. We joke about his disproportionate responses to being fed (aka overthrowing the government for a bowl of rice), but that's because he's not acting under a perceived debt, but out of a bond he's created with his benefactor/s.
So Luffy, who couldn't understand duplicity if it showed up with a twin, gets to a village full of people who happily welcome him and his crew, who appear to do this for every weary traveler that has just passed through the harrowing ordeal of Reverse Mountain. They offer them food, drinks and shelter for as long as they need it. Not only that, they all spend hours partying together, chatting, having fun. Than, Luffy wakes up to find everyone either slaughtered or nearly – the people he was partying with not long ago, from the elderly to children, and, okay, gross, but let's recognize that One Piece is a piece of media with an antiquated system of gallantry that says that it's also an outrage that the women were also hurt. He walks up to one of them and asks them who did it. He says it was Zoro.
Take a moment to place yourself in his shoes. This was objectively a horrifying experience. You wouldn't be surprised if he went after the culprit if it was a stranger. And while I think he should have given Zoro the benefit of the doubt, there's something actually a lot more horrifying in the fact that it was one of his friends who did it: that means Luffy's responsible. He's the one who brought Zoro there, after all. Most codes of honor would have the leader of a group vouching, at least implicitly, for its members.
And it might have easily felt like a betrayal. Not because Zoro went against Luffy, but because he let him down.
A lot of people bring this fight back to loyalty – hasn't Zoro shown Luffy how loyal he is? (And, you know what, I think we could have an interesting discussion about that? About what's said, what's implied, also what's actually witnessed by the characters, but never mind.) Zoro promised him he'd be the best, and that he'd stick by Luffy in his path to achieve that... but he never promised he'd never cruelly cut down an entire village in the meantime, something which is not beyond what any other pirate would do, loyalty notwithstanding. And a good thing, too, because he did, in fact, do that in WP!
That's the other thing. Imagine waking up to a whole village of people who helped you and your crew cut down by a member of said crew. The children included. The idea of there being a good reason for it is actually more out there than a prideful and powerful man who agreed to become a pirate, specifically to establish himself as the strongest in his field, would lash out at the flimsiest offense to his ego, to be honest.
Basically, it all goes down to how this guy, so honest he can barely conceive of being lied to when he's directly informed of it, should have walked out to find bloodied piles of bodies and gone "this guy with violent tendencies I met like a month ago killed dozens of people, including children, who fed us and sheltered and fed us, who I like because of that, probably did it for a good reason". Forgive me if I bring up the children too much, it's just that, if there's one demographic you don't expect anyone to have enough of a good reason to maim, it's that one. Faced with this kind of scene, it makes sense to doubt your initial judgement of a person.
Of course, what he did see of Zoro before that should have told him enough to at least doubt. At the very least, he should have heard him out before killing him. Zoro did try to explain. (Then again, if someone admitted to slaughtering a whole neighborhood and then claimed to have a good reason for it I wouldn't be jumping to hear them out.)
That said, it's not about Luffy doubting Zoro's loyalty, it's about doubting his character when faced with incredibly damning evidence against it. One the one hand, maybe Luffy's the one who should've been more loyal. On the other, the fact that his loyalty didn't extend to forgiving one of his crew when they apparently go rogue and attack not just an entire village, but of full of people who helped them and continuously did the same for others, just goes to prove that he doesn't have the moral backbone of a wet noodle, in addition to checking out with his tendency to develop an attachment to people who feed him.

Request Statuses
Okay, said I’d do this yesterday, so here it is. I’m not naming who made what specific request here, whether anonymous or not. Just dropping them here so everyone can check on the status of their request.
If you don’t see your request here for whatever reason, please let me know!! I haven’t deleted any since I joined Tumblr, so there is always a chance that it didn’t go through.
I will update this regularly as statuses change; and when I update it, I will update the date next to the link in my Masterpost.
Created 30 Oct 2023
Updated 2 Dec 2023
Tongue Ring (Sanji x Reader)
Status: Accepted, actively in-progress
Only One Bed (Mihawk x Reader)
Status: Accepted, outlining, definitely NSFW and it’s also going to be hilarious
Marine!Reader x whomever of your favorite pirates would be more likely to seduce her to the dark-side.
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, definitely going to be Shanks because he absolutely would a thousand times over.
Sanji x picky eater!reader x (possibly) Zoro
Status: Accepted, brainstorming may be more than one part but probably no more than three, definitely going the love triange route and including Zoro.
“Tell them you’re pregnant” story with Ace and/or Sabo
Status: Accepted, but delayed until I get further in the manga, bear with me on that. I will definitely be writing Ace once I re-familiarize with him. This is the first time I’ve reread the manga in probably ten years. I barely scratched the surface with Sabo last time I read, mostly only flashbacks, so I’m not yet familiar with him at ALL.
Headcanons: How the Straw Hats (East Blue crew in particular help each individual member cope/recover when something triggers them.
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, may be a few
Sanji x secretly-a-princess!Reader
Status: Accepted, outlining, in development, will be multi-chapter, and there’s going to be a puppy for some reason.
Sanji x curvy!Reader headcanon
Status: Accepted, not yet in development
Too small, oneshot fic(s), Shanks x Reader and possibly others, NSFW
Status: Accepted, in development for Shanks, may or may not do Mihawk as well
Sanji x Reader with eating disorder
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, also researching because it's a subject that deserves to be depicted realistically
OPLA character x S/O!Reader who looks cute and bubbly but is actually quite strong.
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, leaning strongly toward Zoro because I love the idea of him with a bubbly lil s/o
Headcanons (inspo from Because I Got High) where reader either gets too messed up from smoke/alcohol or side effects from something like anxiety meds, and character has to comfort/calm them down
Status: Accepted, planning to do Sanji, Zoro, Shanks, Mihawk, and Buggy, got a little of it drafted out for Zoro, Shanks, and Mihawk
OPLA!Sanji and/or Zoro x Reader; drabble on a reader who is older than them (mid 30s), who thinks she is “too old”
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, I’m in my early 30s so heavy relate
Mihawk x Reader; he meets a singer at Baratie and falls for her (likely being in denial over it)
Status: Accepted, not yet in development. Probably going to be a two parter at least, and also shamelessly throwing my own flair in because I sing/play guitar, so reader’s probably going to be a guitarist as well, as long as that’s cool.
General Mishanks request:
Status: Tentatively accepted, probably going to aim toward younger Mishanks (early 20s). I’ve only done one Mishanks headcanon re:how they first met/became rivals, so this is a little out of my ballpark, but I’m willing to give it a try. If I feel I can’t write it in a way that I’m satisfied with, I will let you know.
Comedic NSFW, Mihawk x Reader
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, already cackling like a witch standing over a cauldron over this one
IMihawk x Reader request, fluffy, Mihawk needing a bit of reassurance because he's a bit insecure of how tight Reader's friendship with shanks is becoming
Status: Accepted, brainstorming, will probably start outlining soon. Actually going have something akin to this a bit in my Mihawk x OC fic, Hearing Problems, but it's still going to be a couple chapters down the road before I get there, so this would be a good way to explore the idea.
Headcanons request for Shanks, Zoro, Sanji, Mihawk and Buggy taking Reader to a masquerade ball
Status: Accepted, going to have to study the fundamentals of masquerade balls a lil and decide how I want to go about this exactly. If it's okay a couple of the scenarios may be them meeting Reader AT the ball. Because I feel like Shanks would probably just gatecrash for the hell of it (he heard there was an open bar and just went for it); and the thought of Zoro getting lost and accidentally stumbling into a masquerade ball with no idea what's going on has got me 🤭
Shanks x Reader x Buggy, age gap, Shanks and Buggy get isekai'd into our world, Halloween vibes, further details here
Status: Accepted, early brainstorming stages, this just seems like it would be so much fun thank you 🙏
Mihawk x Reader, proposal
Status: Accepted, will be treated as a sequel to YSAM and Ten Years, details here

can i get a uhhhhhhhh datekou swimming headcanons? can or cannot, swimming vs diving vs just floating around, how they do it, pool behaviours, beach behaviours, lake behaviours, river behaviours, anything you have is fine, for the whole team btw, please and thank you 🍪
anon i want you to know this is probably the most random most specific ask i have ever gotten and that makes it extremely funny thank you
also i feel like i need to add the quick disclaimer that i can't swim nor do i frequently visit rivers and lakes so like. i am VERY much out of my depth here (but i do love the beach!)
okay first let's divide between who can or cannot swim
can swim: moniwa, futakuchi, nametsu, aone, obara, sakunami, kamasaki (kamasaki and futakuchi will IMMEDIATELY start a race and will rope entire strangers into it) cannot swim but can at least float: onagawa, sasaya, fukiage only knows how to doggy paddle: koganegawa
a beach trip would be SO intensely chaotic btw the logistics are a fucking nightmare
if they took the train/bus they'd take up half the space. they'd need to take two separate cars bc there are eleven of them. i guess they COULD take whatever van it is they use to get to away games but who in the world is going to drive them, oiwake??? no way in hell they give that man enough migraines DURING school he does NOT wish to be tortured outside of it
(is what he says. but he loves this team and he cares about this team and he tells them that they deserve a break, so why not? it won't stop him from grumbling about needing to take like five cans of coffee with him tho)
oiwake immediately regrets his decision when futakuchi rolls up in oversized sunglasses, one of those big floppy straw hats, and an open hawaiian shirt over a tank top that says "sun's out buns out" a la terribly translated english misprints. futakuchi has no idea what it means
aone has a matching tank top too and on the other hand he DOES know what it says he's just praying that nobody asks him because he has no idea how he's going to explain it
i can see onagawa just being the type of guy who sits and chills under the umbrella with a book and occasionally wanders off to get food, especially shaved ice
he attracts a lot of attention anyways bc his swim trunks look like they belong on the floor of an american retro-style arcade (shoutout to @prick-love-for-pricking for that)
he DOES get up to join the others in dunking futakuchi underwater after sakunami called it a "team bonding exercise"
everyone worries about sakunami btw because "oh my god what if he falls down and gets washed away WHAT IF HE DROWNS WHEN WE'RE NOT LOOKING HE COULD LITERALLY GET KNOCKED OVER BY A WAVE"
futakuchi suggests getting a balloon and tying it around sakunami's wrist like that one picture of the turtle walking around the office or whatever it was
they don't do this but moniwa DOES get a pair of horrifically neon-orange sunglasses and makes sakunami wear them on his head like some kind of beacon
kogane is constantly sending pictures to his fellow first-year mock sports camp club btw and most of the others won't admit it but they are SUPER jealous
kamasaki, while everyone is lounging in the ocean: "so . . . . have any of you guys seen jaws?" futakuchi: "if you don't shut up right now i WILL drown you"
when aone gets tired of the ocean he recruits anyone on land to build a sand castle with him and somehow ends up roping, like, five little kids into helping him build the ultimate sand fortress
so he ends up with obara, kogane, nametsu, and oiwake and a little army of five-to-seven-year-olds
those same kids BEG to play volleyball with everyone once they hear that they're a team btw
so everyone - third years and nametsu included - divides into teams of littles vs high schoolers and ask oiwake to keep score
(the little kids are SUPER impressed with sakunami. one of them tells sakunami that they want to be a libero just like him and sakunami doesn't cry, exactly, but it's a close thing)
they keep rotating people in and out and across teams so that aone is on team a one match then switches with fukiage on team b for the next and so on and so forth and honestly who even cares about who's winning or losing when they're all having so much fun?
they fall asleep on the ride home, all curled up on each other and heads resting on shoulders and all that. oiwake wishes he had his hands free to take a picture, but oh well. some memories are better off swept away with the moment.

i hope we get an update on law and bepo in manga soon… i’ve read theories that bepo might take law to zou so they can lie low while law heals. i also hope that the rest of the heart pirates are ok, or at least penguin and shachi.. it might be an unpopular opinion in one piece fandom but i really don’t want law and bepo to join the straw hat crew or any other pirate crew. i want law to be captain of HIS pirate crew, the heart pirates, with bepo as his first mate and wife ofc. the heart pirates are law and bepo’s family. it just feels wrong for them to join another pirate crew :(
yeah nah all the "law is a honorary strawhat" and "laws crew is useless him and bepo should join sh" takes that happened after PH/DR are so fucking disrespectful and shit
law would like to know those people's locations
howd you claim to like the guy and say this. i can bitch about how much i hate this idea forever, itll never happen. law was VERY CLEAR that he is not there to make friendships and hated when he slipped up for a moment and got used to their routine (idc that its a gag, its still characterization to me)
ANYWAY most hated topic aside
i think idea of going back to zou is kind of too reasonable and logical for oda? i cant see him doing it. its gonna be some bullshit. But as long as they dont get separated and we get to see law and bepo together and he shows that bepo is actually valuable as the first mate/laws best friend - im fine.
i have a lot of worries about all the ways he can fuck it up and shaft bepo but im cautiously hopeful
the crew is fine (bepo said so❤️) theyll also save themselves or be saved by someone deus ex machina style. i don't worry abt it that much.
now what im hopeful for is that they can somehow contact law and bepo at some point because i dont hope for a quick reunion but a call woulda been nice...but its op so cant count on that mercy
i also hope we get to see them soon, everyone is dying to see them. i feel you anon

I neeeeeeed to know about "luffy slips into an alternate timeline/dimension where he "died" instead of sabo and meets an older ace/sabo" I live for stuff like this please
sorry this took me so long! i. didn't realize you had sent an ask rip (that stupid sanji post has annihilated my activity page im in hell)
omg this one is actually one that i'm least likely to actually write because it has the potential to be Long (as you can see with the giant outline), but i wanted to kind of play around with the idea of luffy-less world in the post-timeskip era, because i really like time travel/redo fics where everyone is better/stronger but i think it would be NEAT if the straw hats had to fix things that might have happened if luffy died as a kid. think "doomed timeline" (if that means anything to you). even though the premise is technically ASL i am a straw hat bitch through and through so it's actually more of straw hat fic than the original idea.
here's a copy/paste under the cut (you will see that i write a lot of notes to myself in these things)
takes place post-timeskip era
sabo has no connection to the revolutionary war; he and ace set out as pirates together. because of this, they are not associated with whitebeard (therefore no marineford); instead, they are associated with shanks somehow (maybe; not subordinates tho)
they're no longer two captains one ship, two captains (allied) on two ships (SEE ALT 2)
straw hats have all experienced some form of "bad" ending that leaves them jaded, cynical, or (for some) borderline evil
luffy = strength, joy, freedom optimism; most arcs involve rescues, but i dont think any of the straw hats are "weak" enough to die during their initial crises without luffy, otherwise they wouldnt be straw hats--just win at a massive cost and the next three years would be significantly harder
zoro - frees himself from the courtyard and continues being the demon of the east blue but--
nami - gets the money to free her village, arlong refuses to free cocoyashi; nami seeks out the demon of the east blue in order to take out arlong (in exchange for the money she earned and that arlong has stashed). fight is brutal but they kill arlong; nojiko dies, nami ends up traveling with zoro afterwards bc she has no reason to stay behind with nojiko gone.
they become a well-known, ruthless, and efficient bounty hunting duo on the grand line (bc it earns money and zoro wouldnt make it out of the east blue without her); both are jaded as FUCK bc zoro's dream is stagnant and nami is still wrestling with the guilt of failing her family years later, they're also bloodthirsty because money + power fills the void
usopp - kaya dies in the initial plot to kill her, usopp is blamed and flees the village; gets picked up by the buggy pirates (please this could be so funny please but remember this is supposed to be sad but think of how funny this could be though circus sharpshooter usopp he and buggy would be. so funny in the same room together)
sanji - stays at the baratie until the vinsmokes have a use for him. "wedding"/WCI goes through(?) and/or sanji is a member of the big mom pirates; pudding refuses to kill sanji, big mom is going to kill her but sanji bargains for her life; germa mods are awakened; in order to protect zeff+etc, pretends to be emotionless like his brothers, ends up working as a germa agent instead of staying on WCI because now pudding is as much of a liability as zeff or smth (pudding tho??? pls be nice to her but figure smth out). sanji war crimes
chopper/brook/jinbei remain stagnant
franky - whore do not forget this man was a gang leader who did actual violence; franky family is bigger and badder than ever, babyy
robin - can't stay with crocodile (boring bland unoriginal) put her somewhere she can experience problems; maybe she leaves, ends up on water 7, encounters franky; joins franky family(?) for protection but since she's no longer under a warlord's protection she's fair game for marines/bounty hunters; continues to work as an assassin tho and doesn't stay around much to protect the franky family from the people after her
franky family could potentially work as an alt strawhats "maybe i dont want to die actually" environment for robin; franky helps robin stabilize a little but since they're both kind of Messed Up it's less of a "we're fine actually" and more like "we're fucked up but at least we're fucked up together". they run a Criminal Organization together. they are a gang. robin is an assassin. no one is happy go lucky here even if they have found measure of """"""peace""""""
luffy encounters ace/sabo, it's emotional (obvs; this is self-indulgent)
however his brothers are both fundamentally fine, they are thriving and alive--there's nothing here to fix. you know who isn't fine? his crew.
convinces ace/sabo that they need to find them--whether it's to convince them to join their crew or just to make sure they're okay (whats the motivation here besides luffy wanting them to be happy because they're his family? does he need one? does it even matter?)
ALT 1 are luffy's crew here or did luffy enter the doomed timeline alone. if so--everyone? or just a few
interesting interactions: doomed/real zoro (consider the implications of a zoro who has stagnated/given up on his dream; this guy's got issues but our guy has no self-preservation however maybe they both have no self preservation. interesting convo about worth or value of life without drive)
doomed/real nami (LOTS of grief here babes, but maybe an interesting convo here about strength vs vulnerability)
doomed/real sanji (ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh my god can you imagine. can you imagine how much that would mess him up to see himself become Sanji Vinsmoke)
luffy has fundamentally changed all of their lives for the better but the straw hats are all strong as individuals (physically and emotionally) even before they join the straw hats. that's the point
even if the "doomed" straw hats encounter/join luffy would their lives fundamentally change for the better or are the experiences they accumulate as straw hats what changes them--it's not just luffy going "ur mine now you're happy" it's the development they go through during events/by interacting with each other; maybe some choose to stay where they are but have a shift in perspective of some kind
at least try with asl here
is sabo still kind of unstable? is ace still depressed? how does luffy's absence change them?
ALT 2 consider that they drift apart without luffy to hold them together; luffy makes an effort to reunite them?

Hey! So I wanted to ask something about determination! reader, have the characters of the movies meet Reader? Like for example Uta or Tesoro of film gold?
Anyways I lover You work and I hope to see the part of Roger! ✨
Hello!!! Sorry for getting to your ask so late, I’ve been really tired these past few days lol.
But as for your questions kinda?
I have to retcon y/n meeting Uta as a baby cause it doesn’t match up timeline wise. I assumed Shanks found her just before Roger died but I’m pretty sure I’m wrong about that lol.
But I do want to write a lil something for Uta, she’s a personal favourite of mine and she in my opinion doesn’t get enough attention.
I’d like to make something about y/n meeting her and somehow convincing her of how the wake-shroom is dangerous, maybe by eating it and dying lol. I might even make something later on with the straw hats meeting up with her in Elegia for a reunion for her and Luffy….plus a duet between her, Brook and y/n would be killer. I just want good things for her 😭
As for Tesoro if think something interesting could be that they both met while slaves, but I’m unsure if that timeline wise since y/n was a slave when boa and her sisters were for an undetermined amount of time until Boa was forced to kill them.
Really sad idea for that though is that in that time Tesoro tried his best to help and protect them before they were killed. Maybe they had even met because he could hear them quietly singing to try and comfort Boa and her sisters and it reminded him of Stella :[
That idea is really funny tho when it comes to one piece gold cause he has a panic attack realizing their
A) alive after he assumed they died cause he saw the girls they were with uncontrollably sobbing, now he thinks they had somehow escaped
B) with the straw hats he’s actively trying to kill
C) damn, he needs their skincare routine cause they look like they haven’t aged at all!
Even if this route isn’t the case, i cousl kinda see him doing his whole thing In gold of trying to capture and kill the straw hats but then sees they have this random kid with them that reminds a little too much of Stella and assumes the straw hats kidnapped them and is holding them as some sort of hostage.
Which in turns makes him even more pissed and determined (lol) to kill these damn pirates and save this kid.
If this was the case of scenario of their meeting, y/n opening up about their own time as well as a slave would be really interesting. Especially since in many regards he became like the world novels he hated, taking pleasure in others suffering as well as having insane amounts of wealth to live in luxury while also being hypocritical and hating other wealthy people who act exactly like him.
Tesoro wouldn’t get why y/n looks at him with a sad and also horrified look in their eyes.
Why they seem afraid of him when he had “saved” them.
Another potential movie character I can see as an interesting person for y/n to meet is Z.
Because for a much as Z hates pirates I don’t think he’d be willing to hurt a kid, not when his was killed. So he’s left in a weird impasse of wanting to kill the straw hats but also trying to keep y/n not involved even if he knows they’re also a pirate and their actively joining in on the fights.
Doesn’t help that the marines there to stop him reaallly want y/n too, so he kinda has to deal with Borsalino and making sure that the admiral nor y/n’s crew doesn’t get them.
I’d definitely imagine y/n would get in heated arguments with the dude, especially since they’re not letting someone mess with Roger’s legacy and cause they get his pain (somewhat at least).
They’ve been on the receiving end of cruelty from pirates.
But at the same time marines have done arguably much worse yet uphold the status of justice.
What is justice when they murder all infants on an island due to fear of Roger having a blood child.
What is justice when they wipe out an entire race of people and take their land to make Mary geoise.
What is justice when they make living weapons.
What is justice when marines can kill civilians with only so much as a small punishment by HQ.
What justice is there in tracking down escaped slaves and being lapdogs for celestial dragons.
At least pirates though some are equally terrible don’t proclaim themselves under the hypocrisy of “justice”. Don’t claim to be holy saints when they try and kill someone for the sin of their father being a pirate.

One Piece-Chapter Round-Up(Chapter 1084)
Tumblr media
Hai Hai! I’ve been a little MIA recently as I’d been a little busy finishing up a personal project of mine, but now I’m back in full force to do a whole lot of analysin’. But before we get to that I want to talk about how cool Luffy looks on the cover of Jump! That’s our Captain! Alright, see ya below the cut mateys!
Tumblr media
Oda cuts to the chase right away and has Bonney and Sabo meet. I’d been wondering what their roles were going to be as the Revo’s were the main force behind freeing Kuma. And Sabo’s already got the keys. This shows how Oda’s going to bridge the gap narratively between the two stories of Egghead and the Reverie. It’s the perfect way to leave us on a cliffhanger and transition to the Strawhats at the same time.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the theories of the “Shock” sent around the world from Egghead about it being a dissemination of information are true, Bonney could provide the context to Luffy and get him on her side through mentioning Sabo. Since they separated, they could get two different parts of the same puzzle that only we’ll be able to see. Though I do wonder what Sabo does after this since he’s accomplished his main mission. At the very least we know he goes to the throne room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oda also casually drops another mystery through the mention of the Phantom Room. Some guards were disappeared because they saw it. We know it’s not the throne room, that has it’s own name and is also referred to as the Empty Throne. And this room is called the Room of Flowers.
Tumblr media
So it could be one of these frozen rooms Imu was in while they played around with the posters of Vivi during the Reveries. But Imu seems to take a while to get down them, so how would a normal guard even get that far.
Tumblr media
I also want to take this moment to bring up some motifs around Imu. There’s a theory floating around that Im is a stuck in time queen of Alabasta. I like this theory because of the following ideas that seem to surround Im. One is the idea of things being frozen. They go into this vault that’s all cased over with Ice. And in the chapter they’re introduced in, there’s a heavy emphasis on the ever-lasting beauty of princesses through Vivi and Shirahoshi. With the way Oda connects ideas together, this lends a lot of credence to the Princess Lili theory. Not only that. But think about how the cyclical storytelling of One Piece has always surrounded the saving of Princesses. Nami was a blueprint (we can get to my crackpot theory on that one day) that was perfected through Vivi and Shirahoshi and Rebecca.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And this perfectly leads into the discussion Cobra has with the Gorosei. First of all, let’s talk about how badass Cobra is, because he knows that death is on the line. People have been killed for saying much less and to the Gorosei no less. But focus on the contents of what Cobra is saying. Because if the Lili = Imu = Main Bad Guy theory is true, then Oda revealed the bad guy all the way back in Alabasta! If Lili didn’t join the Celestial Dragons then we all assumed she came back. Or back then we assumed the monarch of Alabasta just didn’t go up to Marejois. But we didn’t consider the possibility that instead of not joining them, the monarch actually ruled them!
Tumblr media
The Straw Hat Grand Fleet Represent! And Mjosgard. Who’s development I love. He’s also of the Donquixote family so I wonder if there’s some inherent pattern with them not being able to keep their Celestial Dragon status. Also Charloss gets another deserved beating, first from Luffy and now from his subordinates. It’s so cathartic. Though unfortunately, as it was earlier referred to as an “Attempted Murder” we know he’s not dead. Ya almost had him Leo! Also I just briefly want to touch on how badass Morley is. Karasu is my favourite but Morley is probably the strongest out of the four commanders. Not only did she break out of Impel Down, possibly even before Shiki, but she lead the infiltration into the territories of the God’s and held her own against an admiral.
Okay so one more thing that I’m sure has been talked about but I haven’t seen talked about is the fact that Imu’s name backwards is Umi, which means Sea in Japanese (Thank You Yu-Gi-Oh!). With the mentions of the secret treasure of Marejois and Imu’s name being related to such a big force in the One Piece world, she has to command some all powerful power, maybe even a sea fruit or something like that. Or hold some relation to why Devil Fruit User’s can’t  swim.
Tumblr media
Arriving at the last page and basically all throughout mentions of the Void Century, I always have one panel flashing in front of my eyes. This one:
Tumblr media
“The answers you will arrive at may be different from ours…” This statement always screamed to me that the answer of the true history will not be as clear cut as we wanted. As in the way that we see the Celestial Dragons to be villains might not be what’s actually reflected by history. While it is interesting Oda highlighted York’s greed right before this, I still think the Celestial Dragons could have had a good reason to take down the Ancient Kingdom. (If anyone’s watched TTGL, I’m thinking along the lines of the whole Spiral/Anti-Spiral thing if you know what I mean). And with the main bad guy having some relation to a sympathetic party, I feel like Oda is setting the stage for some real twists and turns. There are a few other options, such as Imu being in a love with Lili, and Lili leaving to start Amazon Lily (P.S. Imu could’ve totally done that in her down time and returned) or Imu being Lily’s child, but we still need more information. All this chapter leaves us with is more questions. And with a break week next, we’re just gonna have to wait.

Ohhh my fav has be ,Lusan(luffy x sanji) ,I find it be really cute^ ^,My least fav has be shanks x luffy ....because luffy sees shanks more like a idol of his and kinda like a second father...it makes kinda weird...but I don't jugde tho!:)
I have thing I really wanna say ,MY ideas for a modern day! one piece
Okey so here are my ideas for modern day one piece world.
-The stawshats pirates are group of young teengers in highschool. Just joining life but obviously with a twist of fun. Like Journey of different dramas and mysteries that catches their eyes. But a this story also needs action too some cool fignt. But also...some important topics being shown in the story.
-Devil fruits exist ofc but in this world it is very rare so the world gov has people listed with rare/powerlevel devil fruits that come with amazing powers and sees them as a threat.
- As for haki in this world haki is taught in school as defanse meganism to protect yourself in fignt or if something happens ,but if you have happen to have conqueror's haki than your in trouble because the world gov will see you as therat because of how rare could haki is it can only be awaked if strong will which not everyone has.
- As for the yonkos they are more like four big businessman that
possess both powers and all sorts of ties. All of them rival eachother in some way or not. The yonkos are like big celebrites,That the people love each has their fanbase. Their gossip/drama between them.
- The story follows different hardship you have go through and different adventures. It also involves drama,a bit of romance ,serious topics(mentioned before) ,comedy etc...
Any thoughts or hcs???👀👀👀
I like a lot of the fanart of Lusan! It's so heart-warming.
Okay, okay, I immediately got like a twisted Mystery Inc. vibe in the best way. Like, they'd be able to uncover some of the secrets the government was hiding from the public. I really like the idea that they teach haki in school but keep tabs on those who are extremely gifted at using it. Maybe some people/students start going missing and with Luffy being as adaptable to techniques as he is, he eventually becomes a target, leaving the Straw hats no other choice but to unearth what's been going on??
And also having the yonkos as celebrities translates well in a modern au, I think. Oh my gosh, could you imagine the insane gossip the paparazzi would publish about them? I could see the die hard fans aspect getting messy, but I'm here for the chaos!
I'm a sucker for government cover-ups in storylines, so this would be right up my alley!! Are you planning on turning this into a fic at some point?? :))

*cracks knuckles* Including the muses we used to write, and probably will again, I hope you're ready for TheList™:
Dracule Mihawk
Nami - MiMi supremacy going strong forever and always, but also what if Mihawk found Nami stealing from him and she spills the beans on what Arlong's done to her and her village? 👀
Athelar - I need all the brother threads all day every day, the angst and comfort and them bonding over the years they lost
Shanks - MiShanks? 👀 But also a scenario where Mihawk agrees to join the Red Haired Pirates, not to mention a thread where they absolutely can't stand one another and keep battling it out every time they meet each other.
Shanks
Nami - preeeetty self explanatory but there's so many more things that live rent free in my head for these two, like them settling down somewhere nice, Shanks passing down the title of Yonko/retiring completely and acting like a mentor to those who want to be mentored. But also Shanks becoming King of Pirates, with things either hitting the fan and him being executed with Nami having to watch, or they both work towards making sure the world's well rid of the Marines and World Government, plus another like 28364 ideas I have for these two!
Athelar - I'd love to see how these two would vibe together when alone, but also a thread where Athelar does meddle in destiny when something unexpected in the grand scheme of things happens that threatens all the balance he saw the future holds
Benn Beckman
Nami - besides the plots we currently have in the works, I was thinking that maybe instead of Bellemere, Shanks and co. get to Nami's island that was being raided when she was a baby, and just like Shanks took Uta in, Benn does the same with Nami and the two dads raise their two daughters together on board the Red Force
Shanks - I live for Beck tormenting Shanks about everything and anything and I need more of it! Grilling him about his love life? All the 'I told you so's when he gets too drunk (nvm that Beck gets equally drunk), but also young Shanks and young Beck meeting for the first time and Shanks trying to convince Beck to join his crew
Uta
Nami - I need them to be besties, them bonding over their once mutual hate for pirates before meeting the right ones that made them change their minds
Shanks - Gimme all father/daughter threads ever because yes! Shanks helping Uta through her espresso-depresso era, finding somebody for her to help her get a hang of her Devil Fruit powers because gods know she doesn't have any control over it, and just generally wholesome and domestic things
Javi
Nami - I need more of the 'well, I guess my step-mom's younger than I am' awkward moments, but also them becoming friends whenever the Straw Hats visit the RHP, and there could also be potential for some shippy things!
Shanks - Javi being a little menace to Shanks, especially when he's younger, is living rent free in my head. Then there's all the parental figure threads we could go for, Shanks teaching him how to fight with swords, but also comforting him that he doesn't have to be like his dad just because some people expect him to be as good as Mihawk
Athelar - UNCLE THREADS! Athelar being that cool uncle with a super awesome ship who shows up at random and has all the coolest gadgets and Javi wanting to spend as much time with him as possible.
Other muses and plot blurbs are under the cut because it's Long™
Thomas Magnum
Juliet - MIGGY! All things Miggy, all the Miggy fluff, angst, hurt, EVERYTHING. But especially them having their little family of at least 2 kiddos running around, there's no threats anymore, maybe they even closed down the PI business and are focusing on working at the Nest and taking care of their kids (plus you know Robin would pretty much pay for anything they want, even when they tell him no)
Steve - I've been recently toying with the idea of what if Steve and Thomas were on the same team together when serving in the Navy, so there's potential for threads that take place in the sandbox, but also when Steve comes home in season 1, Thomas follows and Steve asks him to be on the team since day 1
TC - bonding in the sandbox, maybe some POW camp threads, TC flying TM out but the chopper has a malfunction and they have a crash landing on a potentially deserted island and need to survive
Lia - All the Thia threads, especially in a what if scenario where Miggy doesn't happen. I can see them eventually moving in together after working things out after the break up, maybe start a family down the line, but also angsty threads where they are exes having to work on a case together because AWKWARDNESS AND TENSION (and pent up sexual frustration)
Robin - Robin and TM meeting for the first time when Robin was still a journalist, all the shenanigans they went through, TM accompanying Robin to a book event where shit hits the fan and Robin's taken hostage
Chris - TM being like that annoying little brother to him, maybe they're purposefully thrown together on the same case to 'work out their differences', TM inviting him to their ohana gatherings every opportunity possible
Luciana - FAMILY BONDING TIME, especially after Katherine dies and Thomas really needs a shoulder to cry on, him showing off his super cool ex-sister-in-law to his friends when she comes to visit in Hawaii
Ethan Shah
Juliet - ALL THE SHIPPY THREADS! A thread where rather than flipping out when Juliet tells him about her past, Ethan sits down with her and hears her out, tries to understand and actually communicates his feelings for her.
Steve - I like the idea of Ethan kind of being the doctor they call for whenever anybody (read: Steve) from Five-0 gets injured on a case because he knows how to wrangle Steve into at least somewhat listening to him.
Chris - hear me out: Before Ethan moved to Hawaii, him and Chris worked in the same city and had frequent run-ins. I'd love to see them sit down, catch up, maybe even deepen their professional relationship and friendship.
Tani Rey
Juliet - the way both shows robbed us of both our fem muses having proper fem friends is horrible. Tani will drag Juliet out of the house whenever possible, not even going to put up with Juliet's protests. I need them to be besties we deserve to have!
Steve - McRey? McRey! All the shippy things! Steve finding his happy ending in Tani, retiring and settling down, her helping him stay with both feet on the ground and helping him through potential therapy, just being his rock and loving on him 24/7.
Leo - awkward dates when they're both off the schedule, bonding over things they both like, just being cute and sweet together, them also being a little competitive on which of them is the better surfer.
Noelani - gimme more besties threads! I want them both to go on a vacation together without having to worry about what the team is up to.
Lia - Tani and Lia working on a joint H50/HPD case together and things get really bad. I'm thinking they maybe get captured or they get cornered and one of them gets badly injured.
Chris - further down the line when Tani is promoted to leader of the team (and where Chris never dies because f that plotline alltogether) they constantly butt heads on whether Five-0's methods are good or not, and it eventually turns into sort of enemies to lovers trope.
Danny Williams
Steve - McDanno! A thread where they actually retire and open up the restaurant which is an instant hit rather than a miss
Chris - before Danny fully retires, he opts to bring in somebody experienced enough so the team still functions as it should, so he goes and talks to Chris if he would want to be on the team. Both are for doing things by the book and Danny believes Chris would be reinforcing that rule whenever possible.
Juliet - instead of fake-marrying Thomas, Juliet asks Danny if he would be willing to play the hubby, that way there would be no conflict between Juliet and Thomas and no bad blood.
Lia - what if Lia was the one (beside Steve) to show Danny just how nice Hawaii is? I can see them working a case together and they just click, so they start seeing each other and eventually end up dating.
Loki Laufeyson Friggason
Thor - post Infinity War, after Loki successfully faked his death once more and all the Asgardians, including Thor, have settled on Earth, Loki shows up, explaining to Thor that he needed that push after Asgard was destroyed to fuel his anger, and his "death" was something he knew would affect him greatly
Tony - post Thor 1, after Loki lets himself fall into the void, instead of being picked up by Thanos, Loki directly lands on Earth, takes up the mantle of a successful entrepreneur and connects with lots of people, Tony included.
Sigyn - the ways Sigyn would ground Loki if she was ever in the movies, and she would be his whole world along with their kidlets.
Yon-Rogg
Tony - I shall inflict pain on you with this one and you'll hate me for it. Endgame, Tony snapped his fingers, the world's restored to as it should be and he's dying. Carol's there, she remembers how Yon saved her all those years ago and she goes to him, brings him to Earth and he does the same with Tony
Carol - YonVers, and I shall accept nothing less! Yon being stripped off his title after losing to Carol and some years later she finds out he's been stuck in a slave camp of sorts, so she bails him out/buys him to be hers but she gives him freedom instead. OR! Carol managing to talk sense into Yon at the end of the first movie and in the second one it's revealed that they got married and chill on her ship.
Killian Jones
Emma - Captain Swan, all day every day. Them leaving Storybrooke together to live a happy life before shit once more hits the fan, but also the early stages where Killian endlessly teases and pursues Emma but she's having none of it!
Liam - gimme all the brotherly bonds, especially Liam never dying but they both rebel against their king, run the crew together, maybe even take a whole new path in life and don't stay pirates
Andrea Talverton
Emma - sister-in-law bonding time, Andrea potentially showing Emma what being a princess is like and them just having a wholesome bond together
Liam - Lirea, one of my alltime favourite ships to this day. I'd love to write all the happy things with them, them settling down, having a family, Andrea helping Liam get used to living in Storybrooke. But also, while in the Enchanted Forest, either Rea running way with Liam so they can be together or him asking her dad for her hand in marriage.
Geralt of Rivia
Yennefer - disregarding Geralt's last wish for him and Yennefer to be together forever, what if they instead opt to have a friends with benefits relationship that slowly and steadily develops into something more?
Jaskier - GERASKIER, all day, every day. I want to see Geralt suffer after he tells Jaskier off, them meeting sometime later and Jaskier straight up refusing to acknowledge Geralt ever existing, so the witcher really has to work for Jaskier's friendship and love.
Triss - I'm still of the opinion that Triss is a better match for Geralt, but I want it to be with a twist. Instead of Triss doing what she did, Geralt falls for her over time while they're both working for King Foltest and have a steady relationship that way.
Mithra Kalila - Following their marriage, I was thinking that her advisers keep telling her how Geralt is a bad idea to have as a husband, especially since he's sterile and won't be able to provide her with an heir, meanwhile Geralt proves them all wrong and is a loving and doting hubby
Anna Henrietta
Jaskier - I need all the threads with them where they are lovers while Annarietta's hubby is out of the Duchy on whatever business. Imagine Anna's all loving towards him one day, the other she throws him in the dungeons, the third day she gets him out and is all sorry.
Magnus Bane
Alec - gimme all the Malec and pre-Malec threads! Magnus doing his hardest to sway Alec, Alec giving him the cold shoulder, and then there's the stone touches and hidden kisses while they sneak around others so they don't know. But also married Malec, them adopting a baby or two or five!
Evan Buckley
Eddie - BUDDIE! Always and forever Buddie! Buddie on vacation (can go as friends before things finally spark up between them), also them taking care of Christopher together!
Blake Richards
Liam - maybe they exorcise the demon out of Liam and after their two new team members try to get him killed, he leaves the organization, Blake follows him and they open a whole new paranormal investigator organization.
Avery Murray
Steve - eyeing all of those shippy threads we had with them in the past and I'd love to revive those. They have so much potential and Avery being able to ground Steve is just so !!!!!!!!!!!
Juliet - I've said it before and I'll say it again, we don't have nearly as many girl friendship representation in both shows as we deserve! Also, Avery maybe hiring Juliet for a case, like a client of hers seems really dodgy and she wants to be sure that he's a good guy before she accepts the job offer, that sort of thing!
Simon Basset
Anthony - Simon and Anthony butting heads about whether or not Simon is good for Daphne, also "how dare you even think about dating my sister when you're my best friend". I need that so much.
Daphne - more fake dating scenarios to make sure the ton thinks they're really together, Simon fighting for Daphne's honor with Berbrooke, them raising little Augie and being wholesome parents.
Kate Sharma
Anthony - Anthony and Kate living their best life, maybe they're still in their honeymoon phase and are all lovey-dovey, also Kanthony babies all the way!
Daphne - Sisters-in-law bonding time, maybe Daphne comes to visit with Augie and Kate meets her nephew!
Edwina Sharma
Anthony - them going through with the marriage instead of Anthony ending up with Kate. I want to see how these two will develop because Edwina is absolutely starstruck and in love with him.

So I’ve decided for this blog I’m going to be using it as a portable trash can/filing cabinet for various game ideas that I’ve been working on in my head.
Here’s my latest one:
PIRATE CREW GAME: (v 0.03)
Inspired by your favorite stories of swashbucklers, sparrows, and straw hats! It’s a game built upon resource management and leading your ragtag crew of pirates to freedom and treasures You and your crew are accused of crimes you may or may not have committed, and must escape the Navy’s sphere of influence to finally become free!
The core of the game is basically being presented with various encounters, and deciding who amongst your crew and how many, will be sent to face that challenge.
How is that challenge resolution decided you may ask? It’s basically going to be a calculation based on your various crew members’ stats.
Crew Members have 3 stats:
Fighting - Pretty self explanatory. How well you fight!
Exploring - Navigating the world, finding treasure.
Surviving- Escaping from dangerous situations, surviving deadly encountered and diseases.
These all rank from 1-5 with 1 being absolutely dreadful at it, to 5 being a master of it!
For every encounter there will be a Fighting, Exploring, and Surviving difficult. Some things like checking out a sandy beach will all have very low difficulties while there can be other encounters such as fighting off Navy soldiers or exploring some booby-trapped ruins.
I like this system because it means you can have crewmates who are absolutely beasts at fighting but will get lost pretty much unless you’re holding their hand, or have a pirate who is useless in a fight but will just survive about anything thrown at them.
Now we’re going into the nitty gritty details of limitations and challenges that may occur during these adventures.
THE SCAR SYSTEM:
Your ship-mates aren’t immortal and therefore can get injured on the adventure. Whenever a ship-mate gets injured they risk getting one of three permanent scars:
Eye Patch! Losing up to two eyes (unless for some reason they have any spares), each eye patch drops a crew mate’s exploration level by 1.
Peg Leg! Of course any pirate can have two peg legs max. Each peg leg drops the survival level by 1. Think of it like being harder to run away, or easier to slip and fall with two peg legs. (I’m open to the idea of this being negated on islands which have invested in accessible infrastructure however!)
Hook Hand! This scar is unique in that instead of losing a stat, you actually become MORE proficient in combat, with a deadly piece of metal as an arm, so +1 Combat. Unfortunately two of those means you cannot do some type of tasks which require dexterous fingers.
How does dying work however? Well… I’m still working on that. I was thinking either if you get three of any one type of scar the crew mate perishes. Or you have to get all 6 scars + 1 to finally kill off a pirate. This does increase the possibility of having a crew consisting of double peg legged, double hook hand, and completely blind pirates however. I’m also considering the idea of having pirates not actually dying from normal encounters, but instead actually making death a narrative choice the player has to make. For example, a crew mate can be “left” behind in order to make room for a new crew mate to join the crew, and left behind can mean a different manner of ways. Either fighting to the last stand to buy some time, or just settling down in a sweet village they’ve grown attached to, or just falling in love with a mermaid and joining them in the depths below.
Extra Notes on Scars: I also like this idea of regular towns absolutely terrified of someone with at least one eye patch, one peg leg, and one hook hand looking like a stereotypical pirate.
Encounter MATH
So how does this work? You’re given a set of encounters with their various Fighting/Exploration/Survival Levels and then you decide how many and which of your crew-mates to send to each one. You then set up the “order” your pirates will be going into the encounter.
First you compare the first pirate’s exploration to the location’s exploration level. This tells you how many “rounds” the party has to spend there at minimum. (I’m still debating whether it should be a simple: based on a simple difference, or if it should be dividing the numbers and rounding up) If exploration is less than or equal to the leader’s exploration, the crew gets an exploration treasure and needs only one round there.
Then you compare the encounter’s combat level with the total combat level of the crew. The difference tells you how many scars will be granted. If the party is larger then they will gain a combat treasure. If the party’s fighting level is less than the encounter combat level, then they will start receiving a scar each round for the difference in combat levels. This combat difference ticks down by one each attempted scar on a crew mate. It will go “down” the line of crew mates one after the other starting at your leader. If the crewmates’ individual survival level is higher than this combat difference, they avoid a scar and go to the next pirate down the line. If not, then they gain one scar at random. Once the minimum amount of rounds based on exploration is met, your crew can successfully run away from the fight, but you may choose to continue fighting the further rounds to gain the combat treasure if desired.
Next you compare the encounter’s survival level to each crew mate. If a crew mate has a lower survival level than the encounter, then they automatically get a scar for that encounter. This could be due to disease, clumsiness, natural hazards and fauna, or whatever twist of fate you may be willing to imagine.
The Navy
I previously mentioned that you are on the run from the Navy. In order to add a bit of pressure and suspense to the exploration, the Navy is going to be chasing your crew down nonstop down across the seas. This means your crew cannot linger on any one location for too long. This means that you can only send all of your crewmates on one encounter per location. Does this mean send them all as a big group to one encounter to handle it safely, or do you split up your crew to maximize the amount of treasure you can get at higher risk for your crew? It’s your decision as captain. Additionally, for each encounter a party is sent out, one crew mate from that party will be able to level up one of their 3 stats.
Navigating the World
The game’s world is based on two things: locations and encounters. There are 8 locations on the world, and each location will have its own share of possible encounters you may decide to send your crew to. Thankfully you only need to get through three of them at minimum before you can escape. Think of it like this: starting port, a row of three locations, a second row of three locations, and then the final location. You can always visit every location once, but they have to be adjacent to each other.
With encounters think of a location as 3 rows of 3 encounters. At the outskirts of an island you will be able to see all three stats for each encounter, while at the middle you can only see two, and deep in the center of a location you only see one stat.
The final, 8th location is the Naval base at the edge of their territory with a grand blockade in the way. If you make it here, this is where your final fate will be decided.
Treasure, Tragedies, and Triumphs
Various treasure can be found in the game such as gold and jewels (worth 5 gold each), but there are other special items that can be found. Animals and food items can be earned from encounters, which can be sold for money in towns. Some items can be spent on a crew mate to boost one of their stats. Other rare magic items can also be found to cure scars or even summon beasts.
So how do you end the game? At the last island, the Admiral of the naval base will send a message saying they you’ve evaded us so far but are now surrounded by the naval blockade. You’re then given a choice. To surrender. Pay off your bounty to the Navy. Or to die fighting. You can pay your bounty and be free but have no money. If you surrender you and your crew will be arrested and sent back to the starting island, however you can try to escape again with at least one crew member from your original crew. If you fight, a final encounter will occur where you must either escape the navy or defeat the enemy ships in a highly difficult final encounter.
Final Words
And there you have it! The 3rd drafted brainstorm of my pirate crew game. Still very rough around the edges but I’m getting there. The first two drafts are scattered around on either phone notes or bits of paper around the house. I’m very proud of coming up with the scars idea although I bet someone has come up with a similar way somewhere else. I also designed this in a way that you could possibly play this cooperatively with more than one player if you’re willing to split the crew up for joint decisions. Obviously there’s a lot more missing rules and encounter details: notably missing are actual encounter levels to be used! I also did not discuss much about towns/villages, trading item prices, how to get more crew mates, and even the more secret locations. This is fine since I might discuss the tables of actual levels and difficulties later. The essential soul and core of the game is this: I want to tell a story about a crew who navigated treacherous seas together, got scars together, fought battles together, and have moments of heroism and cowardice. They also found secrets and explored an interesting world along the way to freedom. I hope this little post may help inspire those who bothered to read through this whole thing! Definitely going to be working on more drafts in the future so stay tuned! (Also if you haven’t figured out yet, I kinda designed this to be a light math tabletop type game!)
Thanks for reading! -Yubs
