today one of my friends (who i met only a few months ago) vaguely said something about me being a furry and i was half zoned out so i just said "omg thats crazyyyy" and she just went "i KNEW IT!!!!!!" and then proceeded to ask me if furry was a derogatory term while we were both in a rush to get to our classes. i was so confused and i still am. first of all i did not even properly respond to the first statement and it wasnt even a question???? i mean yeah i am a furry but. What???? and. the second thing. WHO TOLD YOU FURRY WAS A SLUR????? of course some people use it in a mean way but they do the same thing with the word gay and gay isnt a slur???? im just. So lost?????????????

#tbh i dont even consider myself a furry most of the time because when people say furry they usually mean that you're part of the 'fandom'#.....which i guess isn't really true about me? i mean. i have several sonas #i have other friends who are furries #most of my social circles online consist of furries #i like looking at furry art #but like. i don't play 'furry hangout' games or whatever #i don't look for furry specific spaces #my interests just tend to be things furries like #i mean i guess even just having a fursona technically makes you 'part of the fandom' but i don't feel particularly connected to it at all #this could just be me being weird about things and not understanding though. i am Like that #echoing-thoughts.txt
