a/n: for my wonderful moot @yearneir, thank you so much for the request! i had so much fun writing this <3
masterlist || be my valentine blurb event 💌
“Knock, knock!” Two knocks sound through the door of Lando’s hotel room, followed by the familiar cheerfulness of Alma, the hotel’s concierge. “Delivery for Mr. Norris!”
Lando’s muscles ache with a soreness that weighs him down into the softness of the duvet, having sprawled out face first onto the bed the second he got back from another long day of testing. The winter months are always the shortest, often flying by more quickly than the season does.
His mind is tired as well, struggling a bit extra to get back into the swing of things after months away from being in the car. He doesn’t recall ordering any room service but if he did, he’s more out of it than he previously thought.
With a sigh of reluctance, he drags his feet towards the door of the stylish hotel suite. His vision is blurry as he rubs the sleep from his eyes and instinctively checks the time on his phone that reads 8:03pm. Definitely way too early to sleep for the night, but a power nap has never hurt him before.
Sure enough, Alma is waiting on the other side of the door with a bright smile and a silver platter in hand. “Good evening, Mr. Norris. I was instructed to bring this to your room along with this letter.”
He takes a deep breath, as if the surprise delivery will make more sense when he gets some more oxygen flowing to his brain. “Oh, thank you. Who’s it from?”
Alma smiles coyly but won’t reveal too much. “I can’t say, but your answer is in the envelope. Can I get you anything else while I’m here, sir?”
“Just Lando is fine.” He politely corrects. “I’m okay, thank you though.”
“Have a nice evening.” Alma disappears down the hallway, leaving Lando to his letter and mysterious silver platter. He’s seen enough movies to know that there’s usually someone’s head under these. His first name is written neatly on the envelope and what catches his eye is the red heart stamped into the wax seal.
He remembers the date, February 14th, and blushes at the thought of you. The both of you had been corresponding on the phone like usual, of course confirming that you had received the bouquet of flowers, chocolates, and a few pieces from your favorite designer that Lando made sure to have delivered to your home, with a promise that he’d be able to properly wine and dine you in a week’s time. He carefully lifts the seal, a childlike grin spreading across his face at the sight of your neat handwriting.
-
My dearest Lando,
It pains me to be apart from you, but the distance will let our hearts grow fonder. I hope you enjoy the present I’ve prepared for you.
Yours truly,
Y/n.
P.S. Call me when you get this. XOXO.
-
His hopes are high for whatever’s underneath the silver dome, perhaps some comfort food like a classic Roast dinner that reminds him of home, just like his Mum makes.
Lando lifts the silver to find not a warm meal, but cold and slimy rolls of sushi making the shape of a heart, dipping cups of wasabi and soy sauce resting in the center.
“What the hell?!” He yelps, visibly startled by the sight. “She knows I hate this stuff.” He’s scrolling to the favorite contacts in his call log, instinctively clicking your name.
When you answer on the second ring smiling like the Cheshire Cat, Lando knows he’s been set up.
“Is this your way of breaking up with me? Sending a plate of fish to my hotel room on Valentine’s Day?” Your laugh pierces through the phone, and he’s still dumbfounded as to how you managed to pull a prank on him all the way from Monaco. “What did I ever do to you?”
“Nothing, I just wanted you to know that I’m soy into you. Happy Valentine’s Day, babe!”
“Aw, very clever. I hope you know that I’m gonna get you back for this. What fruit was it that you are mildly allergic to again? Starfruit, was it? I’m sending 50 starfruit arrangements to our house as we speak.”
“With all the risks you take at work, I’m amazed that sushi of all things has become your greatest fear. How is that?”
Lando scoffs, “I am not scared of sushi.”
“Are you trying to convince me or yourself? Sorry love, the proof is out there. But I wanted you to know that I love you anyway.”
“I love you too.” He grumbles, but there’s no bite behind his words. Lando finally takes a better look at you, but doesn’t recognize the wall in the background. He doesn’t recognize the wall behind you from your house, that is. He looks around his suite, now puzzled as to how your background matches the exact color of the hotel walls. Interesting. “Wait, where are you? You’re not at home are you?”
“I’m in a place that people temporarily call home?” You offer with a mysterious edge to your words and he subtly catches on. You can see the gears turning for him, the realization visible on his face when he moves toward the door once again.
“Wait a second… Are you HERE?! At my hotel?” His incredulous tone translates from the speaker on your phone to reverberating in your ears, behind his hotel room door that you’re standing in front of.
The door swings open and you’re reunited with those sparkling cerulean eyes you know so well. He takes a pause, glancing back and forth between his screen and you, now within arms reach. Wasting time would be a foolish thing to do. Without a care he drops his phone in exchange for cradling your face in his hands before smashing his lips onto yours. You don’t hesitate to wrap your arms around his frame, relishing in how warm he feels against you.
“Fuck, I missed you.” He breathes out, as if his life depends on saying it.
“Surprise! I missed you too, clearly. I’ve been wanting to try my sushi prank for a while now and this gave me the perfect opportunity. Had to get you riled up with something you hate so you’d be extra happy to see me.”
“Not necessary.” Lando murmurs against you, peppering kisses to your lips. “I don’t need anything extra, you know that. It did serve as a nice surprise, though. Definitely better than the sushi.”
You giggle as he shudders at the thought. “Forgive me?”
“You’re forgiven,” Lando sighs, unable to resist your pleading eyes and the warm notes of amber in your perfume that captivate him, “but I hope you know that if anyone else did this to me, and I mean anyone else on this planet, I would not speak a word to them for the rest of my life. However, for you, I can make an exception. You’re lucky that you’re cute.”
You kiss him sweetly, holding hints of satisfaction behind your smile at how well your plan has been executed. “Don’t worry, I plan to make it up to you. It is Valentine’s Day, after all.”
“Just when I thought tonight couldn’t get any better, how did I get so lucky?”
You pinch his cheek teasingly. “You do look exhausted still, are you sure you’re not dreaming of me?”
Lando catches your wrist and presses a kiss to the skin, content with knowing that he’ll dream of you tonight and wake up beside you tomorrow. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”

OMG STOP THAT LAST TIM DRABBLE FOR THE VALENTINES THING REKINDLED THIS IDEA THATS BEEN LINGERING IN THE BACK OF MY MIND
Also I’ve been seeing this idea everywhere so I think it’s a sign
So could I get a Tim fic where the reader (gn if that’s okay!) gets this new lipstick and tests how pigmented it is on Tim, like how many kiss marks they can leave before the colors gone and they have to reapply it
Sry if that didn’t make any sense and ty in advance if u choose to write this 🙏🙏
tim drake x reader
warnings — kissing :) suggestive themes ig, established relationship
a/n; writing for tim lately has been so fun it gives me a better high than any class a drugs could. so serious abt that btw. I loved writing this so much anon like I wanna kiss you on the mouth just for requesting it
Tim is very much used to you trying things out on him by now. Your new perfumes, to make him walk past you so you can imagine what people smell when you’re around. Face masks so you’re not doing it alone. Different shades of your nail polishes painted on his fingernails because, well, that one’s mostly just for fun.
Even that one time when you wanted to try out a new heatless overnight curl method and had him sat on the couch for hours with his head full of tightly wound velcro rollers before you realised you’d done it wrong.
So when you plop down beside him on the couch with a freshly delivered package, he doesn’t even bat an eye.
“What’s that?” he asks politely, only sparing you a quick glance up from his laptop.
“New lipsticks,” you say, spilling them out onto your lap and picking one from the bunch to twist it up and reveal the velvety pigment. “I wanna test out the longevity.”
He hums, long fingers typing away. “Sounds fun.”
You grin. “Glad to hear you say that, because you’re helping.”
He pauses, slowly turning his head towards you and considering the lipstick in your hand. Then, he sighs. “Fine,” he relents, going back to his laptop, but not before pouting his lips out for you.
“Not like that,” you snort, gently shoving his face away. He glances up again, a confused crease etched between his brows.
“Then….?” he trails off, quirking a brow. “How am I helping?”
In response, you uncap the top of the lipstick and carefully apply it, using your phone reflection to stay within the lines. You press your lips together, before flashing him a smile. He parts his lips, no doubt to compliment you like he always does when you ask him about any new product. Before he can say anything, you lean in and press a quick kiss to his cheek, leaving behind a mark in the shape of your lips.
Tim blinks, touching his cheek where the red imprint of your lips remains and rubs the pigment thoughtfully between his fingers. “Ahhh. I see.”
“You’re my test subject,” you confirm, shifting closer. “My own little lab rat. Let’s see how many kisses it takes before the colour is gone.”
His ears flush, a muted version of your lipstick, but he doesn’t pull away, instead angling himself towards you and shifting his laptop out of the way. “Well,” he murmurs, a small smirk playing on his lips. “For science.”
You laugh, leaning in once again. This time, your lips land on his jaw. Then his temple. The high of his cheekbone. His neck.
By the tenth kiss, Tim is practically radiating heat, fingers curled slightly into the couch cushions, staying obediently still. By the fifteenth, he’s closed his laptop entirely, shoving it to the other end of the couch.
At twenty, he becomes visibly antsy. “Still pigmented?” he asks, voice slightly hoarse.
You lean back to inspect your handiwork, taking in the array of kiss marks scattered across his face and neck. “A little faded,” you say thoughtfully, tilting your head. “Might need to reapply this one.”
Tim huffs a laugh, shaking his head at you. “Of course you do.”
When you reach for the lipstick, which had ended up in his lap somewhere around the twelfth kiss, he catches your wrist and tugs you close enough to brush his lips against your own in a barely-there kiss. “Think I prefer it like that,” he murmurs.
Your stomach flips at the sight of your lipstick faintly colouring his lips. Then you grin, eyes sparkling.
“Well, that’s too bad. We have a test to finish and about… four more lipstick shades to go.”
Tim sighs dramatically, but the corners of his lips twitch upwards. “Fine. But only because I’m committed to the cause,” he says, face as serious as he can muster with it covered in kiss marks.
And with that, you reapply the lipstick in pink this time, ready to start the experiment all over again.

Thinking naughty Brucie Wayne thoughts cause you KNOW he sluts around in order to maintain that playboy reputation.
Imagining Brucie on an evening gossip show and he's playing a game where he's sharing light-hearted secrets with the host. It's called some shit like...I dunno, "I'll tell you mine if you tell me yours!"
"Okay, we gotta be careful with the wording here because we're on live television," the host laughs, "but I have a question."
"Ask me anything, baby, I'm an open book," Bruce purrs. The live studio audience whistles and cheers.
"What's your darkest sexual fantasy? I'll tell you mine —"
"IF YOU TELL ME YOURS!!" The audience shouts, clapping and cheering with ridiculous enthusiasm. Bruce, who has impeccable control over his body's nervous system, turns beet red and covers his face. His heartbeat is still as steady as a war drum. World's Greatest Detective and also World's Best motherfuckin Actor.
"oh shit," he mutters. The cheering gets even louder. "I can't say it out loud. I've never told anybody this before, it's insane."
The host is Locked The Fuck In. Exclusive information nobody else has about Brucie Wayne, Gotham's precious prince? He can smell the trending hashtags already.
"Oh?" He goads, grinning and leaning forward in his chair. "Is it really bad? Brucie, you dog! I didn't know you had it in you! We gotta know, now!"
"Skip," Bruce says shyly, "next question!"
The audience boos and starts chanting some iteration of "tell us! Tell us!" The host shushes them and says it's fine, he'll go first and they'll both be a little embarrassed about it. No big deal, it's just a fun game! What's a little spicy secret between friends, we're all friends here, it's fine!
The host's is boring. Something like Toes or edible underwear. Bruce shyly says he can't say it, and asks if he can write it down instead. The host is like yes, absolutely, someone fetch this man a pen and paper RIGHT NOW.
Brucie writes it down. The host reads it. He gasps.
"Okay everybody, shhh. This says...I want to — BRUCE?"
Bruce reddens more and is as curled up as he can possibly get in his big chair. The audience is feral at this point.
"It says "I want a priest to give his virginity to me." Bruce Thomas Wayne!!!"
There's an uproar. People are whistling. Women are screaming. Catholics are clutching their pearls. There's so much clapping. Some people are laughing. When everybody settles down enough to let him explain, Bruce, still red in the face, just stares meekly at the ground and mutters:
"I dunno, it's so wicked. I wanna be like Lucifer with the apple. I want a son of God to turn away from His light and be tempted into my bed. If God is actually homophobic and being gay gets you sent to Hell, — first of all, fuck that guy — and second of all, at the very least I want him to get a taste of Heaven in the sheets, y'know?"
#DamnedByBrucie is the number one trending topic for the next four days. Priests are coming out of the woodwork and sending him genuine offers to take their virginity. Hal buys a priest outfit immediately. Bruce is so down to roleplay this even though that wasn't even close to his darkest sexual fantasy.
#Bruce Wayne#Brucie Wayne#drabble#batlantern#i dunno if a priest has to take a vow of celibacy to be a priest#i assume the answer is no#but just Pretend for me ok#just play in the space with me#im obviously not a Christian

when she sees me
★ vi x f!reader
wc: 5.4k
cw: reader goes on a date with one (1) guy for exactly 27 minutes; pure tooth rooting fluff.
notes: this was @entraptasimp request but tumblr was being a bitch and i lost the ask 😭. this got my brain juices working, it started off with nothing to do with what you requested but i worked my way through it, i had so much fun writing it, hope you like it !!
I was born a fundamentally anxious person. I like things a certain way—I’ve never liked guessing games or the feeling of not knowing how things would unfold. That’s why I’ve never been a fan of dating apps, meet-cutes, or anything that required me to dive into the unknown. Even my reading choices reflected that. I always gravitated toward romances where the main characters were destined to be together, the kind where they had known each other forever and love was inevitable.
So when it came to my own life, I was completely lost. Imagine spending almost 21 years never having a boyfriend, a girlfriend, or anything remotely romantic. It wasn’t like I hadn’t tried—I’d had experiences, but they were all terrible. The kind of stuff you look back on and cringe so hard you want to erase the memory altogether.
"Can you believe I’ll be 21 soon, and I’ve never dated anyone?" I groaned, tossing a handful of popcorn into my mouth. Vi, my best friend, was sprawled next to me on my bed, equally engrossed in our snacks but pretending to care about whatever show was playing in the background. "Even you had girlfriends. What is wrong with me?"
Vi turned to me with a dramatic gasp, her mouth still half-full of popcorn. "What do you mean, even me? I’m a greatcatch! Good looking, great muscles, and super smart. You can’t beat that."
I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, super humble too, I see."
She smirked, flexing her arm like she was some kind of bodybuilder. "Exactly. You’re just jealous."
I sighed, staring at the ceiling. "No, I’m just… I don’t know. It feels like I missed some crucial lesson everyone else got. Like, how do people just meet someone and start dating them? How does it happen so easily for everyone else?"
Vi was quiet for a moment before she nudged me with her foot. "It’s not easy for everyone. And maybe it’s not supposed to be easy for you. Maybe you’re just waiting for the right kind of difficult."
I frowned. “What does that even mean?”
Vi shrugged. “I don’t know, it just sounded poetic. But seriously, maybe you just haven’t met the right person yet. Or maybe you’re meant for a slow-burn romance—like the ones in those books you love so much.”
I groaned, rolling onto my side. “But I’m tired, Vi,” I whined. “I hate relying on fate, or destiny, or whatever. I need to do something!”
She stared at me for a moment, her eyes narrowing like she was deep in thought. I could practically see the gears turning in her head, and that was never a good sign.
“Okay, hmm.” She tapped her fingers against her chin. “I know you don’t like dating apps, and you hate talking to strangers, but unless you want to date me, or Mel, or—I don’t know—Jayce…”
I made a face so disgusted she burst out laughing.
“Right, so unless you want to date your friends,” she continued, still grinning, “you’re going to have to get to know someone new.”
I groaned dramatically, burying my face in my pillow. “But I don’t like meeting people.”
Vi let out an exaggerated sigh. “God, you’re insufferable.” She poked my shoulder until I looked at her again. “Again! Unless you’re planning to date your friends, you have to meet new people. So! My idea is… I choose your suitors based on what I think you’d like. You go on a date with them, and if you don’t like them, we move on to someone else. We keep going until we find you a partner.”
I stared at her. “You make it sound like a game show.”
She grinned. “Oh, it absolutely is a game show now.”
──────────────────────
“So, to start off—download every dating app you can find. We’re setting up your profile and swiping away!” Vi announced, a sinister grin on her face and a bag of chips perched on her lap. It was honestly kind of terrifying.
I hesitated, staring at her like she had just suggested I walk barefoot across hot coals. “Okay, I just don’t see how forcing me to do something I hate is the solution here.” Still, I begrudgingly opened the app store and started scrolling through the endless sea of dating apps.
“Exposure therapy, Y/N!” Vi declared, stuffing a handful of chips into her mouth. “Besides, I’ve known you my whole life. If I don’t make you do this, you’re going to end up single well into your sixties, whining in my ears about your wasted youth and how you never got the love story you deserved.” She pitched her voice higher, dramatically placing a hand on her chest. “‘Oh, Vi, why didn’t you force me to date when I had the chance?’”
I narrowed my eyes at her. “Hey! I don’t sound like that.”
Vi snorted. “You absolutely do.”
I sighed, already regretting this. “Fine. But if this turns into a disaster, you owe me—big time.”
She grinned. “Oh, don’t worry. This is going to be legendary.”
As soon as the apps finished downloading, Vi snatched my phone right out of my hands. “Nope! You are not sabotaging your own chances at finding love,” she declared, her eyes gleaming with determination.
I sighed, letting her take control because, honestly, fighting her on this would be pointless. Vi had always been like this—stubborn, overenthusiastic, and convinced she knew what was best for me. And, to be fair, she usually did.
Vi had been my best friend since birth. Literally. Our moms had been best friends in college and ended up pregnant around the same time, so we grew up side by side. Sure, she could be very annoying at times, but she was also the person I trusted most in the world. We had been through every high and low together, and despite her occasional chaos, I knew she always had my back.
“There! Your profile is complete,” Vi announced, handing me my phone with a triumphant smile. “Now, we can start hunting for our prey.”
I wrinkled my nose. “I really don’t like that you’re calling them ‘prey.’”
She shrugged, completely unbothered. “What? It’s the circle of life, Y/N. We swipe, we match, we conquer.”
“This is exactly why I didn’t want to do this.”
Vi ignored me, already swiping through potential matches like she was picking out groceries. “Ooooh, this one’s cute. She looks like she reads books and goes to the gym. A rare breed.”
I groaned. This was going to be a nightmare.
──────────────────────
During the weekend that Vi stayed over at my house, we matched with a handful of people—well, she matched with them while I mostly watched in horror. By Sunday night, she had already set up a few dates for me. The first one was with a girl named Ashley. She had dark green hair, loved musicals, and was apparently obsessed with Lana Del Rey.
“You’re coming with me, right?” I asked the second Vi dropped the news.
She blinked at me, unimpressed. “How exactly do you expect me to do that?”
“I don’t know! Put on a fake mustache, wear sunglasses, sit at a different table—something!” I waved my hands dramatically. “What if the date is a disaster? What if she’s weird, or hates me, or—what if I need to escape?!”
Vi sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose like she was already regretting signing up for this. “Y/N, you’re a grown adult. You can sit through one date without me holding your hand.”
“You say that, but you’re also the one who forced me into this,” I pointed out.
“Okay, fair.” She crossed her arms, thinking for a moment. “How about this—I’ll sit nearby but not like, right there. If you need an out, text me a code word, and I’ll call you with a fake emergency.”
I narrowed my eyes. “What’s the code word?”
Vi smirked. “Summertime sadness.”
I groaned. “You’re the worst.”
She grinned, tossing a pillow at me. “And yet, you’d be lost without me.”
The date was scheduled for Friday, and there I was, sitting at a window table in the local diner, nervously tapping my fingers against the menu. Vi sat three tables away, pretending to be interested in her milkshake but very obviously keeping an eye on me.
I had no idea what to expect. I barely knew anything about Ashley—we had exchanged a few texts, but nothing meaningful. She was essentially a stranger I was about to have dinner with, and the thought alone made my stomach twist.
Vi caught my eye and gave me an enthusiastic thumbs-up, trying to send some reassurance my way. It didn’t really help, but I appreciated the effort.
Then, I saw her. Or rather, I saw her hair first. Ashley’s dark green hair stood out even from a distance, but what really sealed the deal was the bright pink jacket she wore over an all-black outfit, complete with chunky black boots. She was hard to miss.
As she approached the table, she smiled wide. “Hii, you must be Y/N!” she greeted, sliding into the seat across from me with an excited energy.
I straightened up. “Yes! Nice to meet you!”
And honestly? It was nice to meet her—at least, at first. The conversation flowed smoothly. She asked about my life, I asked about hers, and everything seemed to be going well. That is… until she brought up her cat.
Lana.
Named, of course, after Lana Del Rey.
Which was cute at first—until Ashley did not stop talking about her.
Not joking, for thirty minutes straight, she went on about Lana’s favorite toys, her special diet, the way she sensed when Ashley was sad and comforted her like a “little furry angel.” Every time I thought she was done, she’d whip out her phone and scroll through an endless gallery of Lana’s pictures.
My face was cramping from forcing a smile. I snuck a glance at Vi, who was clearly enjoying my suffering way too much.
I subtly reached for my phone and typed a single text.
Summertime sadness.
That’s when Vi stood up, striding toward our table with intent. At first, I was confused—she looked… angry?
For a brief second, panic flared in my chest. Had I texted the wrong code word? Was something actually wrong?
Then, she stopped in front of us, dramatically placing a hand over her heart like she was in a soap opera.
“Oh my god, Y/N!” she gasped, sounding exasperated. “I cannot believe what my eyes are showing me! You—cheating on me! And in our favorite diner, of all places?!”
It took me a second, but then I caught on to the theatrics.
I shot up from my seat, clutching my chest as if I had just been caught in the act. “No, Vi, my love! This is not what it looks like!” I turned to Ashley, gesturing dramatically. “I don’t even know this girl! We were just making friendly conversation, you have to believe me!”
Ashley blinked between us, looking both confused and mildly alarmed. “…Wait, what?”
Vi let out a loud, exaggerated sob and turned away. “I trusted you! And this is how you repay me?”
I reached for her hand, playing along. “Baby, please! Let me explain!”
Ashley slowly leaned back in her chair, gripping her drink. “Uh. I—should I leave, or…?”
Vi sniffled, dabbing at her dry eyes like she was wiping away imaginary tears. “No, no. I’ll leave. I just can’t bear to look at you right now, Y/N. I hope you and your little fling are very happy together.” She turned on her heel, storming out with all the grace of a drama queen.
I turned back to Ashley with an apologetic smile. “I should… probably go after her.”
Ashley just nodded, still looking completely lost. “Uh. Yeah. You should… go do that.”
I grabbed my jacket, muttering a quick, “It was nice meeting you,” before practically running out of the diner after Vi.
The second we were outside, we both burst into laughter.
“Oh my god, that was so unhinged,” Vi wheezed, wiping at her eyes.
I groaned, shaking my head. “I cannot believe you just did that.”
She shrugged. “Hey, it worked, didn’t it?”
I sighed, but I couldn’t help but laugh again. “Yeah, yeah. Thanks for saving me.”
Vi smirked. “Anytime, cheater.”
──────────────────────
And I would love to say the other dates went even remotely better—but I’d be lying.
The second date was with a guy named Chad—which, honestly, should’ve been the first red flag. He was a full-on gym bro, the kind who talked about nothing but his gains and his macros. He was so obsessed with hitting his daily protein intake that he actually pulled out a shaker bottle mid-conversation and started chugging a protein shake like we were at a post-workout hangout instead of a date.
I lasted exactly 27 minutes before sending Vi our secret code word: creatine.
Within seconds, my phone rang, and Vi’s panicked voice echoed through the speaker. “Oh my god, Y/N! Grandma’s been in a car accident—the car’s on fire! You need to leave IMMEDIATELY!”
I slapped my hand over my mouth, trying to look convincingly horrified. “Oh no! Not grandma! I—I’m so sorry, Chad, I have to go!”
He barely looked up from flexing his bicep in the reflection of his water glass. “Yeah, cool, family first or whatever. Just don’t forget to hit the gym tomorrow—you’ll feel better.”
I practically sprinted out of there.
The third date? Even worse.
This girl—her name was Marissa—decided to bring her lizard to our date. Yes. A lizard. She texted me to meet her at the park, and I figured, “Oh, cool, a casual outdoor date.” But the second I spotted her on the bench with a giant reptiledraped over her shoulder like it was an accessory, I just… stopped in my tracks.
I didn’t even bother texting Vi. I turned right back around and walked away like I’d never seen that park in my life.
Later, as Vi drove us away from the disaster zone, I was still fuming.
“She brought her lizard, Vi! Her LIZARD!” I complained, slumping in the passenger seat like the sheer memory drained me.
Vi snorted, barely holding back her laughter. “You wouldn’t be having this reaction if it was a dog. Just saying.”
“Because dogs are normal! Lizards are not a third-wheel you bring on a date!”
She grinned, giving me a playful nudge. “Maybe the lizard was her emotional support animal.”
I groaned, covering my face with my hands. “I’m never doing this again.”
Vi just laughed. “Oh, yes you are. We’ve only just begun.”
The fourth date was… surprisingly normal.
Her name was Ellie, and she was hot as fuck. Like, the moment she walked in, I felt my soul leave my body. She had this effortless, cool-girl vibe—tattoos peeking out from under the sleeves of her denim jacket, a lazy smile that could probably stop traffic, and this way of looking at you like she was reading your mind.
And the best part? She was actually fun to talk to. She played guitar, had this dry, witty sense of humor, and we clicked in that easy, natural way I didn’t even know was possible. For the first time since Vi threw me into this dating nightmare, I thought, Hey, maybe this isn’t so bad after all.
But, of course, the universe wasn’t about to let me have that.
As the date was winding down, Ellie gave me this soft, apologetic look. I knew something was coming, but I wasn’t prepared for that.
“Hey, so…” she started, fiddling with the ring on her finger. “You’re a really nice girl, like, seriously. But I’m not, uh… I’m not over my ex. And talking to you tonight made me realize how much I miss her. I hope you find what you’re looking for, though. Truly.”
She was so sweet about letting me down, which almost made it worse. Like, why did the only nice, amazing, tattooed goddess have to be the one who didn’t want anything to do with me?
By the time I got home, I was ready to burn Vi’s whole dating plan to the ground. I flopped onto my bed and immediately called her.
“This isn’t working, Vi. Seriously,” I groaned the moment she answered. “Where are you even finding these people? I just had one of the best dates of my life, and suddenly she’s not over her ex?”
Vi snorted on the other end. “Oof. That’s rough.”
“I’m not joking!” I whined, dramatically kicking my feet like I was five. “This is your fault. You roped me into this mess, and now I’m emotionally attached to a girl who doesn’t even want me!”
Vi burst into laughter. “Wow, you’re really going through all five stages of grief, huh?”
“I’m stuck at betrayal, thanks.”
“Oh, come on, Y/N. It’s just one date. You’ll bounce back.”
“I don’t want to bounce back, Vi. I want Ellie,” I grumbled, burying my face in my pillow.
There was a pause, then Vi said, “Well… maybe the next date will be even better.”
I groaned louder. “You’re insufferable.”
“And yet, here you are, still letting me pick your dates.”
Unfortunately, she wasn’t wrong.
──────────────────────
After all the disasters I’d been through, I was done with dating. Completely over it. No more awkward small talk, no more weird code words, and definitely no more dates with people who brought lizards as emotional support. Vi, however, refused to let it go. She’d still ramble on about people she’d matched with, her excitement bubbling over like I wasn’t emotionally scarred from the last lineup of dating catastrophes. I didn’t want to hear about it anymore—I knew this wasn’t going to work.
“Okay,” Vi started one afternoon, plopping dramatically onto my bed like she was about to deliver some life-altering news. “I know you’re fed up with the dating apps. And with me.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Especially with you.”
She ignored me. “But there’s one more person I’d like you to give a chance to.”
I groaned, flopping back onto the bed with the same energy as a dying Victorian woman. “Vi—”
She cut me off with a look. That hopeful, annoyingly earnest look that always managed to crack through my walls, no matter how stubborn I was. Despite being mad at her—or at least pretending to be—I could never actually say no to her. It was like some unspoken rule of our friendship.
“Ugh, fine!” I threw my hands up, as if surrendering to the universe itself. “But this is the last time.” I sat up, pointing a finger at her like I was laying down the law. “I’m serious, Vi. After this, I’m done. If anyone wants to date me, they’ll have to show up at my door, kidnap me, and force me into a relationship.”
She burst out laughing, but there was something off about it—like it was a little too forced, a little too high-pitched. Her usual chaotic confidence was still there, but underneath it, I noticed a flicker of something…nervous?
“Yeah, well…” She cleared her throat, rubbing the back of her neck. “About that. There’s just one small catch.”
I squinted at her, already suspicious. “What kind of catch?”
She grinned, but it didn’t quite reach her eyes. “The date is a secret until you get there.”
I blinked. “A secret?”
“Yup.” She popped the ‘p’ with exaggerated cheer. “No name, no details—just show up and let the magic happen.”
I stared at her like she’d grown a second head. “Vi. Do you hear yourself? This sounds like the start of a true crimedocumentary.”
She waved me off. “Oh, please. If anyone tried to kidnap you, you’d be the one they regretted it instantly.”
Fair point.
Still, something about her expression stuck with me—this weird mix of excitement and nerves. But, like the fool I was, I agreed. Again.
──────────────────────
On the day of my mystery date, I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to figure out what to wear. Which was ridiculous because, technically, I didn’t even know who I was meeting. But somehow, the not-knowing made it worse. Was I supposed to go casual? Dressy? Prepare for another lizard-wrangling situation?
When I finally arrived at the little café Vi had texted me the address to, my stomach was doing Olympic-level flips. I scanned the room, half-expecting to see another “Chad” flexing in a corner or someone waiting with their tarantula perched on the table.
But there was no Chad. No lizard. No tarantula.
Just Vi.
Sitting at a small table by the window, nervously fiddling with her rings, her usual cocky grin nowhere in sight. She looked up, and when our eyes met, she gave me this small, almost shy smile.
I froze.
“This…is a joke, right?” I blurted, laughing nervously as I approached her table.
She stood up, shoving her hands in the pockets of her red jacket—the same one she always wore, but somehow it felt… different now.
“No joke,” she said quietly, her voice lacking its usual smugness. “I’m the date.”
I blinked. “You’re the date.”
She nodded, her lips twitching like she couldn’t decide whether to smile or run. “Yeah. Surprise?”
I didn’t know what to say. My brain short-circuited, replaying every moment we’d shared—the teasing, the late-night calls, the way my heart always felt lighter around her. How had I not seen it before?
“…Are you kidding me?” I finally managed, shaking my head with a breathless laugh. “You put me through all of that—Chad, the lizard girl, the Lana Del Rey monologue—just to end up here with you?”
She grinned, her confidence slipping back into place like muscle memory. “Well, technically, I needed you to realize everyone else sucks compared to me.”
I rolled my eyes, but my heart was racing for an entirely different reason now.
“You’re insufferable,” I muttered, sliding into the seat across from her.
Her grin softened into something more sincere. “Yeah, but… you’re still here.”
I didn’t have a comeback for that.
Because she was right.
I was still there.
We ordered our coffees—or rather, Vi ordered them. She didn’t even need to ask. She knew exactly what I wanted: an iced caramel latte and a chocolate muffin. It was such a small thing, but it hit me harder than I expected. She knew my order by heart, like it was second nature. And somehow, that simple gesture left me sitting there in awe, my heart doing this ridiculous flutter thing that I refused to acknowledge.
I watched her as she thanked the barista, her fingers tapping against the counter in that restless way she always did when she was nervous—or pretending not to be. When she finally sat back down across from me, her knee bumped against mine under the table. She didn’t move it.
The question slipped out before I could stop it, soft and almost hesitant.
“Since when?”
Vi tilted her head slightly, squinting like she wasn’t sure what I meant. “Since when what?” She scratched the side of her neck, her fingers brushing over the edge of her tattoo like it was a nervous habit.
I swallowed, my throat suddenly dry.
“Since when did you… want to go on a date with me?”
Her expression shifted. Just for a second. A flicker of something vulnerable slipped through the cracks of her usual confidence. But then she let out a short, breathy laugh, shaking her head like she couldn’t believe I’d even asked.
“Being one hundred percent honest?” she said, leaning back in her chair, her arms crossed like she needed a shield. “Since I became conscious about anything in my life.”
I blinked. “What?”
She laughed again, a little softer this time. “I mean it. You’ve always been there, you know? But you were so busy with your face buried in those books, rambling about epic love stories and grand, sweeping gestures. And there I was, just… me.” She cleared her throat as the waitress brought our order, the clink of ceramic cups filling the brief silence.
She picked up her coffee, but didn’t take a sip. Instead, she stared at it like it held the answers she was too afraid to say out loud. “I guess I got a little self-conscious. Like, how was I supposed to compete with all those ‘great loves’ you read about? And you never really seemed to care much about dating, so I figured… if I said something, you’d just let me down.”
Her words hit me like a freight train—because how had I not seen it? How had I been so blind?
“I… I don’t know what to say,” I admitted, my voice quieter than I intended. I stared at her, really looked at her, like I was seeing her for the first time. “I never thought that what I was looking for was quite literally right in front of me.”
Vi didn’t respond immediately. She just smiled—small, a little shy, but undeniably real. The kind of smile that makes your chest ache in the best way.
And that’s when it hit me.
I’d spent my whole life waiting for a cliché love story.
The kind with grand declarations, epic twists, and movie-worthy moments.
But what could be more cliché than this?
A slow burn, friends-to-lovers situation, sitting right across from me with a smug grin and a coffee order she knew by heart.
Maybe the love story I’d been searching for wasn’t in the books after all.
Maybe it was in the girl who’d been there all along.
I reached for my latte, mostly just to have something to do with my hands because my heart was practically sprinting. The ice clinked against the sides of the cup, loud in the quiet between us. Vi was still watching me, her gaze steady, like she wasn’t afraid of what I’d say next. Like she already knew.
But I didn’t know. I didn’t know how to string words together when everything inside me felt tangled—like someone had taken all the pages of my life, ripped them out, and shuffled them around until nothing made sense except her.
So I blurted the first thing that came to mind.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Vi chuckled, shaking her head. “Because I’m an idiot?” She leaned forward, resting her arms on the table. “Or maybe I was just scared. Scared that if I said something, I’d lose you. And losing you… would’ve been worse than keeping it to myself.”
The honesty in her voice settled over me like a weighted blanket—comforting and overwhelming all at once. I thought about every late-night conversation, every casual touch that lingered just a second too long, every time she looked at me like I was her whole world, and I’d been too oblivious to notice.
Maybe I had noticed.
Maybe I was just too scared to admit it.
I glanced down at my muffin, untouched, then back at her. “You’re kind of dumb, you know that?”
She snorted. “Yeah, I’ve been told.”
I smiled, feeling it stretch wider than it had in a long time. “But so am I.”
The words weren’t grand or poetic. There was no sweeping background music, no dramatic lighting. Just the faint hum of the coffee shop, the cold of my drink between my hands, and Vi’s knee still pressed against mine like it belonged there.
And maybe that was enough.
No—it was enough.
I reached across the table, my fingers brushing over hers. She froze for a second, her breath hitching, then slowly turned her hand over so our palms touched. The warmth of her skin sent a quiet thrill through me, something soft and electric all at once.
“I think,” I whispered, “I’ve been on this date with you for years. I just didn’t know it.”
Vi’s smile was different this time—brighter, softer, filled with something that made my chest ache in the best way.
“Yeah,” she murmured. “Me too.”
──────────────────────
We finished eating between bursts of conversation and laughter, and somehow, everything had changed while staying exactly the same. The comfort was still there, woven into the fabric of who we were, but now it carried something electric beneath the surface. The glances were different—the way her eyes drifted to my mouth when I spoke, the way our intertwined hands never strayed, like we’d forgotten how to exist without that connection.
The walk back to my house felt surreal, our fingers laced tightly together, neither of us willing to let go. Every step felt heavier with anticipation, like the world had tilted slightly, and gravity was pulling us toward something inevitable.
And then, standing at my doorstep, she kissed me.
It wasn’t tentative or shy—it was certain, like she’d been waiting her whole life to do it and wasn’t going to waste another second. It felt like being woken up, like every nerve ending had been dormant until that exact moment. My heart raced, but everything else stilled, like the world had gone quiet just for us.
It was the kind of kiss that rewrites everything you thought you knew about love.
Pieces of a puzzle perfectly aligned.
Vi’s hands found my waist, pulling me closer, and she kissed me like her life depended on it—like I was the air she’d been searching for. My fingers threaded through her hair instinctively, and she let out a quiet sigh against my lips that sent shivers down my spine.
When we finally pulled apart, breathless and flushed, she rested her forehead against mine, her thumb brushing soft circles against my cheeks.
“I’ve wanted to do that for so long,” she whispered, her voice low and rough around the edges.
I smiled, my heart still racing, my hands still trembling slightly from the intensity of it all. “Then do it again.”
And she did.
Over and over, like she was making up for all the years we’d been too afraid to cross the line.
But we weren’t afraid anymore.
We stayed there for what felt like forever, just standing in front of my house, wrapped in the warmth of each other’s embrace. It was like time had paused, giving us this perfect moment where nothing else mattered but the two of us. The city sounds faded into the background, and all I could hear was the soft rhythm of her breath mingling with mine.
Eventually, she pulled back, just enough to look at me. Her eyes were full of something I couldn’t quite name, but it made my chest tighten in a way I didn’t want to let go of.
“Are you sure about this?” she asked, her voice softer now, like a fragile question hanging in the air.
I laughed, breathless, my fingers still tracing the edge of her jaw. “Are you kidding? I’ve been sure for longer than I care to admit.”
She smiled, a quiet, content smile that made me want to hold onto it forever. “Good,” she murmured, her lips brushing against mine again, this time slower, like she was savoring the moment, taking her time.
We didn’t need to rush anymore. Not tonight.
We stayed close as we stepped inside, neither of us wanting to break the connection, like if we did, everything we’d built might shatter. Her hand never left mine as we walked through the door, and when we finally reached the couch, we sat side by side, still tangled up in each other, unable to fully separate.
The night stretched out before us, full of possibilities, full of all the unspoken words between us that no longer needed to be said. Every moment felt like a revelation, like we were discovering each other all over again, but in the most intimate way possible.
Vi’s head rested on my shoulder, her breath even and steady now, and I realized, as I looked at the way she fit against me, that this was it. This was the start of something new, something I hadn’t known I was waiting for but had needed all along.
“We’re really doing this, aren’t we?” she whispered, her voice light with amusement but also a touch of something deeper.
I smiled, brushing a strand of hair away from her face. “Yeah, we are.”
And for the first time in a long time, I wasn’t scared of what was coming next. Because it wasn’t about the destination anymore—it was about the journey we were going to take together, step by step, kiss by kiss.
And I was ready for all of it.

ㅤ﹙ 𝟑𝟑𝟑 ﹚ㅤּㅤㅤ˻ㅤaegan is typingㅤ˺⠀⠀gather round, for what you're about to read is as soft as a feather's touch: it's fluff, my lovelies, where hearts swell and smiles are sure to bloom. enjoy the warmth.
notes: i knew some of my babies here were having a rough few days and the stress, sadness, anxiety and frustration can feel overwhelming, so i made this for y'all. remember that i love you all so much.
the bond between y/n and the triplets was something special, a friendship that had woven itself deeply into the fabric of their lives, already feeling like more than friends; they were family by choice, each bringing something unique to the group. but lately, y/n had been a bit like a dimming lightbulb, her usual glow replaced by a shadow of sadness.
she'd been more about her thoughts than her usual chatter, her days spent writing, often being too hard on herself, and the triplets couldn't help but notice the quiet where her laughter used to echo, and they knew it was time for a rescue mission. back at their place, the air was thick with concern. "i miss y/n's giggle," chris pouted, his usual grin dimmed. "she's definitely in her feels," nick said, his voice soft, his eyes showing his worry. matt, always the empathetic one, suggested, "how about we go cheer her up? make today all about her?"
the idea was met with enthusiastic nods; they decided to hit the shops first, aiming to collect all the things that could possibly sprinkle some joy back into y/n's life. in the car, the energy was like a mini-party. "last time we did this, we ended up with more toys for ourselves than for y/n," chris laughed, navigating through traffic. "yeah, but this time, operation cheer-up is serious," nick declared, tapping away at his phone for ideas. "we're getting her the good stuff."
from the back, matt added, "don't forget those gummy bears, they're her happy button." at the store, they split up like a well-oiled machine: chris, the snack master, dove into the aisles with enthusiasm. "look at these! they've got mango and chili gummies!" he announced, his eyes wide with excitement. nick, the artist of the group, found the perfect set of pens and a sketchbook. "this'll give her something new to pour her heart into," he mused, adding them to their haul. he then grabbed a tiny rainbow flag pin. "for a little extra color and love." matt, the thoughtful one, picked out a small cat plushie, knowing it would wrap y/n in comfort. "this might just make her day," he said with a small smile. the drive to y/n's was like a rolling comedy show, with chris dj-ing, filling the car with feel-good tunes that had them all singing at the top of their lungs. "y/n's gonna flip for this," chris said, bopping to the beat. "but we gotta be sensitive," nick reminded, his voice a balance to their fun. "she might need some quiet time." matt nodded. "we'll go with the flow; if she needs calm, we'll be calm."
when they arrived, y/n answered the door looking like she hadn't laughed in days, but her eyes lit up like christmas lights at the sight of her friends and their bags of cheer. "what's all this?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper but filled with gratitude. "operation cheer up y/n, at your service!" chris declared, dumping snacks on her table like he was revealing treasure. nick handed her the sketchbook with a flourish. "for all your creative vibes," he said, his eyes sparkling with affection. matt, with his gentle touch, took her hand. "we missed you, y/n, so we're here to remind you that you're not alone." they made her living room into a little party zone, with snacks, laughter, and stories. chris did his best impersonation of a dance move he'd seen online, making y/n laugh so hard she snorted. nick shared tales from his adventures at pride events, his stories like little sparks of joy. and matt, just being there, his presence like a warm hug as he played with her hair softly. as the night went on, they shared more than just laughs; they shared hearts.
y/n opened up, and they listened, each brother offering his unique brand of comfort - nick with his supportive stance, chris with his boundless optimism, and matt with his comforting ability of understanding people. "i'm sorry for being a bit of a ghost lately," she said, her voice catching. "no sorries needed, y/n. we're here because we love ya," matt reassured her, his words like a balm.

You're a Coward Steve Harrington
Pairing: Steve Harrington x fem!reader
Category: Angst to fluff
Summary: Steve has been avoiding y/n for the last month. It’s not until you’re shit faced at a party for him to confess what’s really going on.
Warnings: Alcohol consumption, taking shots, smoking, smoking weed while driving (I do not condone this behavior this is just here for the sake of the story and vibes LOL), throwing up, fighting, kissing
WC: 2.5
A/n: Second “fanfic” “imagine” esc post!! I really hope you like it. This was fun to write and please don’t judge my shitty writing lollll I’m still working on it and lots of room for improvement (:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“I still think he’s into you” Nancy laughed at y/n as she told Nancy the infamous story of how one day her and Steve were the bestest of friends, inseparable really. How they did everything together- movie nights, parties, dinners, even sleepovers. Steve and y/n became close very quickly ever since y/n moved to Hawkin’s about a year ago. But one day later everything had seemed to banish out of nowhere.
It crept up slowly, and though y/n was trying not to read too much into it at first, she soon realized she should’ve because when she finally came to terms with what Steve was doing it was too late, and he was gone- Not literally gone as in disappeared but, gone from her life.
It first started with Steve not returning your calls right away, letting them go unanswered for hours, until those hours turned to days. He stopped walking you to class and meeting up before and after school. He avoided you at lunch, and started making excuses to get out of hanging out. All which ultimately led to him completely dodging your presence.
Finally when it became too much for y/n she pressed him in the hallway, on the verge of breaking down, demanding to know what she did that made Steve want nothing to do with her anymore. Steve’s heart was shattered at the thought that he let y/n think that this was her fault. But overall, he thought losing her like this was a better alternative than getting rejected and ruining the friendship that way. So when she pressed him that day in the school hallway, it took everything in him to say nothing and just walk away.
Over the course of that month Robin countlessly called Steve an idiot, she suspected the feelings he had for y/n but nothing was confirmed. Steve was too stubborn to admit to anything. And Robin too- like Nancy, tried telling y/n
‘I think he’s just an idiot who’s into you.’ But without confirmation, y/n just accepted that Steve had a newfound hatred for her and the only thing could do was bury her feelings for him and forget it.
As for y/n, she spent a lot of her free time with Robin when she wasn’t with or working with Steve, and Eddie too- they were just friends of course but they did get significantly closer ever since Steve walked out of y/n’s life.
10pm hit as Nancy, Jonathan, and y/n stood outside the Wheeler’s house waiting for Eddie to pick them up for a party. You weren’t really sure whose party it was, but Eddie knew the guy which automatically meant you and your friends were invited.
You were excited, and felt like this would be a good opportunity to finally let loose and have fun after how stressful this month has been for you. You wore a tight black mini skirt, a baby tee that rose just above your belly button, and knee high boots. You wanted to feel good about yourself tonight, forget about Steve and everything he put you through. You were never much of a partier and you definitely preferred smoking and relaxing than drinking and partying, but you knew a switch up would be good for you.
When Eddie finally pulled up you hopped in the passenger seat, as Johnathan and Nancy sat in the back.
“Hey- you clean up nice” Eddie laughed at y/n while passing her the joint he just lit. Y/n accepted the joint gracefully and took a hit of it, before Eddie started driving off to the party,
“Not so bad yourself Munson,” She coughed out before taking another hit,
“Woah, woah, woah,” Eddie stammered, “One, save some for me-” He took the joint back smoking it, “Two, slow your roll and wait till we step foot in the party before you completely lose yourself.”
The drive over to the party was no more than 20 minutes. On arrival, Jonathan and Nancy went their separate ways as they are more of the inverted partier type. As for you and Eddie, he took you straight to the kitchen to get started on drinks,
“Okay doll, what’re you drinking tonight?”
“Tequila,” You answered without hesitation, Eddie was taken off guard by my answer. He knew that wasn't my typical drink of choice. His eyes widened and eyebrows raised,
“Well shit y/l/n, why do I have a feeling I’m gonna be carrying you out of this place tonight,” He laughed pouring your guys’ first shot of the night.
You cheered your shot before taking it with ease, then taking a hit of a joint you just lit. Eddie’s eyes looked at you in disbelief as you held the joint in your mouth inhaling while pouring another shot before- he chimed in,
“I don’t know if I should be proud or concerned for you,”
You shook your head laughing, "I just need to say fuck it and let loose Eddie, I’ve been needing this for a while, okay."
Eddie is aware of the situation that went down with Steve, he’s the one who has been at your side and at your every call, always there to comfort you. He knew how much Steve meant to you, though he never understood why you liked him so much, but you just claimed he never got to know Steve like you did.
“Doll, I know you need this, just be careful please I can’t babysit all night-” Eddie got cut off by his friends welcoming him and dragging him out to the back patio.
All honesty you were fine being left alone, tequila made you wanna dance and that’s exactly what you went to do.. After you took another shot of course.
You slammed your shot glass on the counter after taking it, then filling up your red solo cup with a mixed drink and hit the dance floor.
You were doing exactly what you had planned on doing, letting loose and having fun. A benefit to going to a party where you don’t even know who’s hosting it is you don't know a lot of the people here- making dancing with random guys a lot easier.
Whilst in the middle of quite literally throwing it back on some guy whose name you didn't even know, your body suddenly froze up, you felt as if your lungs had started constricting, and anger rose inside of you noticed Steve fucking Harrington walking in the door with Robin-
‘I should’ve known, a friend of Eddie’s is more than likely a friend of Robin’s of course they’re fucking here.’
You sighed, taking a deep breath in,
‘Tonight is my night of fun and letting lose, fuck Steve Harrington,’
You took another swig of your drink before continuing dancing, you were definitely feeling the alcohol hitting you now.
Steve spotted you the moment he walked into the house. Jealously rose inside of him as he saw you dancing with some guy. But he still couldn't help but miss you and his heart felt like it was aching. That feeling followed up with the thought of rejection, and he couldn’t help but replay the moment in the hallway you two had shared when you were pressing him, he had never seen you so angry.
He quickly snapped back to reality, he could automatically tell you were drunk, he smiled to himself admiring how confident you looked dancing, drink in your hand, you looked as if you didn’t have a care in the world. He missed your presence.
A few minutes later Steve found himself in the kitchen grabbing a beer. After taking a prolong drink he heard someone stumbling into the wall over towards the bathroom.
With curiosity getting the best of him he peered around the corner, and there you were. Drunkenly stumbling, joint in your mouth, your hand pasted to the wall using it to guide you to the bathroom door.
When you reached the bathroom you had slammed the door behind you before placing your joint on the sink carefully, then falling to your knees in front of the toilet waiting for the contents in your stomach to rise up.
Steve slowly approached the door listening to what you could be doing, he more just wanted to know that you were okay in there. The second he heard you start to vomit, worry washed over him. He lost control over himself and didn’t think twice before he opened the bathroom door. His eyebrows pinched together, sympathy in his eyes at the look of you hanging over the toilet sick.
Your head had snapped over to the door upon it opening, your face had a look of anger then quickly dropping as you made eye contact realizing it was Steve,
“What the fuck are you doing here,” Your words slurred,
“I know- I know you hate me,” Steve calmly said while closing the door behind him then kneeling down next to you pulling your hair out of you face and holding it back, “Just- just let me help you please,”
Before you could respond you resumed throwing up and coughing in the toilet violently. Steve continued to hold your hair back while with the other hand he was rubbing small circles in your back calmly saying, “It’s okay, you’re okay- just breath,”
Truth to be told, his presence felt very comforting, and as much as you wanted to kick him out of the bathroom, scream at him, and analyze this odd situation- You were far too crossed from the weed and alcohol to even think.
“Why- are you- here Harrington,” You began choking on your words before tears started to form in your eyes, “You avoid me- for- a whole fucking- month, you’re just gone- and now you want to just show up again,”
“I know- I know, I-”
Before Steve could finish his sentence you started vomiting again cutting off his sentence, his heart ached seeing you like this,
“Hey hun,” His tone gentle, “Can I please take you home, you can’t stay here like this,”
As much as you hate to give in so easily you knew you were only gonna feel worse. Plus you had a feeling Eddie left the party already with a girl that was hitting on him on the back patio so this may be the best option for you,
“Okay,” You croaked out grabbing Steve’s shoulder to boost you up. Steve stood up with you wrapping his arm around you to help keep your balance,
“Okay- let’s go”
He guided you outside the house, walking you to his car. He opened the passenger door for you, helping you inside. The world was spinning, your mind was racing yet it was also blank, you rested your head on the window feeling drowsy,
“Your house or mine hun,”
“Steve-” you slurred, “I can’t go home like this,”
"Okay," Steve nodded, driving off to his house.
You blacked out during the car ride, you felt as if you were jumping in and out of reality, nothing felt real. One moment you were sitting in the passenger seat of Steve Harrington’s car, the next minute you were laying on his couch with a slightly better grasp of reality.
You slowly sat up rubbing your eyes not caring if you smeared your mascara. You noticed Steve in the kitchen holding a cup of water as he started walking towards you,
“Here,” He said quietly, “Uh- We just got here- like 10 minutes ago- here drink this,” He hands you the cup and you drink the water reluctantly glaring at him,
“How can you just act like nothing happened Steve? You were my best friend one day, and a shitty- selfish person the next.”
Steve sighs, embarrassed, and unable to look you in the eyes. He knows you’re right, he can’t just have you stay the night without explaining why he did what he did. He knew he had to tell you the truth, and he had to tell you tonight.
“Do you remember the time- uh- we stayed up all night just talking in my car,” Steve’s demeanor was soft, he was staring at the ground breathing slowly,
“Yeah,”
“I think about that night almost everyday you know,” He pauses taking another deep breath, “We talked all night- about everything- and you feel asleep on my shoulder at sunrise-”
You scoffed, rolling your eyes at Steve, “Yes Steve I get it. I was stupid enough to open up to you, about everything, my whole life. What? Just for you to ditch me months later and forget about everything?” Tears started forming in your eyes, you started to fill of rage,
“No, no- Just- please let me finish,” I stayed silent,
“Y/n I love you-”
“You’re a coward Steve Harrington,” You shouted at him, “You don’t abandon someone you love,”
Steve’s head snapped up at you making eye contact, you could tell something changed in him,
“Dammit y/n I fell in love with you!” He shouted. He maintained eye contact, your eyes widened, eyebrows raised, your breathing fasten, yet you remained silent,
“I’m sorry I abandoned our friendship y/n- I’m sorry I left you hanging. I was scared of your rejection, I didn’t wanna lose our friendship that way y/n. I know it doesn’t make sense, but at the time- you know- it did. I know I’m a coward from running away from those feelings, but I just knew you could never feel the same,” Steve stopped talking and started catching his breath,
“Steve, you're an idiot,” You gave him a saddened pitiful smile, “How could I not like you back? Of course I had feelings for you,” Steve’s expression softened as those words left your mouth,
“Really?” In the moment nothing but guilt washed over Steve, he was happy too- But more so he felt guilty, like a real jerk for wasting all that time away from you. But ultimately, all the worry he had of getting rejected from you had vanished.
Steve inched closer to you, closing the gap that laid between you guys. He held eye contact with you momentarily, breaking it to stare at your lips. His hand cupped your cheek as he closed his eyes slowly pulling you into him. You leaned into his kiss, your hands hanging around his neck.
You couldn’t believe this was finally happening, Steve felt like he was dreaming.
When your lips collided it felt as if the whole world around you disappeared. Your lips fit perfectly together moving in sync, his lips were soft and gentle with yours. Everything felt perfect.
Steve paused pulling back, you were both smiling like idiots at each other catching your breath before Steve spoke up,
“I missed you so much- I’ve been wanting to do that for so long you have no idea,”
“No, you have no idea Harrington,” You laughed, “Don’t ever do any of that dumb shit again,”
Steve laughed shaking his head before pressing his forehead against yours,
“Trust me, I’m never letting you go again honey.”

“All I Ever Wanted” Cho Sang-Woo x fem!reader
hey so… no one make fun of my writing skills it has been a LONGGGGGG time. I will probably end up deleting this (i definitely will) i just love sang-woo and needed this imagine to come to life. Anyway guys pleak don’t make fun of me bc I will probably go into hiding 😊😊 A girl can only take so much criticism, also if ANYONE has done this creds to them!!!!! I just thought of this last night and I #needthat
There you stood. Happy, sad, excited, confused? Scared. You were scared. Your eyes fixated on the sight before you, a positive pregnancy test. You were late and that never happens so you bought a test to be sure . What if Sang-Woo isn’t ready for a baby? What if he isn’t excited? What if he doesn’t want to be a father? Your thoughts were soon interrupted when you heard the angelic voice of your loving husband.
“Y/N, sweetheart I’m home!”
You came downstairs and Sang-Woo pulled you into a warm hug and planted a sweet kiss to your lips, the kind of kiss that makes you feel like a silly high school girl.
He started to remove his coat as he spoke “You would not believe the kind of day I had. First my meeting with the board went wrong all because some intern spilled coffee on-“ he cut himself off as he noticed that you weren’t your optimistic self, you didn’t chime in as you normally would . He scanned your face as if he could read your mind, trying to solve the puzzles in your head.
“Y/N, baby, talk to me” he waved a hand in your face and you came out of your daze seeing a very concerned Sang-Woo looking back at you. You brushed him off and told him to continue his story.
About an hour has passed and you decided to start preparing dinner to ease your mind. As you were stirring the pot you felt a warm embrace come from behind you. Your adoring husband pulled you into a hug from behind.
He left soft kisses in the crook of your neck and whispered sweet nothings to you as he nibbled on your ear.
You both ate dinner with an awkward silence taking possession of the room. He still noticed something was bothering you, but he didn’t want to push your buttons so the silence continued.
As you both finished washing the dishes, Sang-Woo excused himself to go wash up. He began to wash up but he noticed a foreign object lying underneath his wife’s old hand towel.
As curious as he is, he tossed the towel aside and discovered the pregnancy test. He stared in awe, daydreaming about fatherhood, about how beautiful you would look during your pregnancy, about how much he would love his future daughter or son.
He slipped the test into his pocket and called out your name.
“Coming, I’m just putting away our glasses” and with that you walked up into your bedroom. Sang-Woo sat at the edge of the bed and patted the spot next to him, signalling for you to join him.
Without another word he placed the test into your hand and smiled at you. You felt your stomach drop. Anxious thoughts overtaking this intimate moment.
“Sang-Woo I was going to tell you I swear! I only found out today and I didn’t know how to tell you. I promise I wasn’t trying to hide this from you. I didn’t know if you would be mad or happy or-“
Your nervous rambling was cut short when a soft chuckle erupted from your husband’s chest. He continued to laugh at your cuteness. “Honey why would I be mad” he started to trace patterns your thigh soothingly.
“It’s just we’ve only been married a year and you’re so busy with your job, I just- I didn’t want to distract you from your career”
“Oh Y/N, a family with you is all I ever dreamed of. I can picture it now; me and you attending our children’s soccer games, science fairs, ballet recitals, graduations, weddings, and literally any event because our children will be little overachievers like me” You giggled at his last statement “All I ever wanted was to start a family with the woman of my dreams and here we are. I could never be mad about this”
You couldn’t help but become emotional after your husband’s words. Tears formed in your eyes and you smiled. You both got ready for bed early, deciding the only important thing was to prepare for your little bundle of joy. Sang-Woo even went as far as booking a doctor’s appointment for you first thing in the morning. You continued to discuss your future with your baby and couldn’t be more excited.

Chapter 6 of Mabel’s Guide to the Power of Friendship is up!!
Writing this one took me a while, and then the art also took a while… everything took a while. i always enjoy writing this once i get to it, though! hope you enjoy this one too.
chapter text under cut:
It was hard for Mabel to really relax, knowing that Bill was lurking just below the floorboards. But by the time the sun was low and her family was gathered around the dinner table, she’d mostly put it out of her mind. It was hard to be miserable with them around.
“You think Soos will bring more empanadas when he’s here tomorrow?” Dipper asked, picking at the strangely opalescent casserole on his plate.
“If I didn’t know better, I’d think you were insinuating something about my cooking,” Ford said wryly.
“Whaaat? No! No, don’t be– that’s ridiculous,” Dipper said. “This is great! I mean, it’s a million times better than last time, this one didn’t even come to life and attack us–”
“Don’t jinx it,” Stan said.
“Hey, c’mon, guys,” Mabel piped up. “It’s the thought that counts, right? It’s really sweet that he tried. Besides, even Grunkle Ford can’t be perfect at everything.”
Ford chuckled. “Thank you, Mabel. As far as backhanded compliments go, that’s quite nice.”
“It’s true!” she said. “So what if you’re not a chef? You invent, like, six magical contraptions a week!”
“That’s a wild exaggeration,” Ford said with a grin. “It’s been at least a month since the last one. Although Fiddleford and I have made some real progress on our current project…”
“New project?” Dipper perked up. “What is it?”
“Oh, I don’t know if the details will interest you that much–”
“Shaaare!” Mabel demanded. Dipper immediately joined in, both of them pumping their fists and shouting “Share! Share! Share!” until Ford laughed and gave in. They all knew he didn’t really need that much encouragement, but it was fun anyway.
“Alright, alright! I’ll tell you.” Ford waved his hands to set the scene, the way he always did when he started talking about science stuff. “So, we all know that unicorn tears have remarkable healing properties, right? But we also know that unicorns aren’t generous creatures, and trying to obtain some tears by force often creates more injuries than they could ever heal.”
Stan snorted. “And how many tries did it take for that lesson to set in?”
“Not the topic, Stanley. Anyway, our goal was to synthetically recreate the healing properties of the tears, eliminating the need to seek out the real thing. This has been in the works for a long time; in fact, our biggest breakthroughs came from studying the sample Mabel and her friends obtained last year…”
Dipper extended a fist to Mabel, and she proudly bumped it.
“...And I must say, we’ve had some very promising results with the latest prototypes! There have been some hiccups here and there– we really should have fireproofed the lab sooner– but I think in the next few weeks, we might even end up with something that could surpass the healing properties of unicorn tears!”
“Nice!” Mabel held out a fist to Ford. “Take that, you overrated horses!”
Ford laughed, accepting the fist bump. Stan clapped a hand on his shoulder. “Here’s hoping you get it workin’ before we set out again. It’d make things way less stressful on the boat. Heck, the coast guard medics might even have time to forget our names!”
“Wait, you’re setting out again?” Dipper asked. “When?”
“End of the summer, same as you kids!” Stan said proudly. “First thing in September, we’re headed right back out there.”
Ford nodded. “We still have a lot more to investigate. I expect we’ll be very busy once Fall comes around, which is why I’m under strict orders to ‘take it easy’ while we’re here. Otherwise, the elixir would probably be finished by now–” Stan crossed his arms, and Ford quickly added “--but I completely understand the point of it. Rest is important, kids.”
“Darn right,” Stan grunted. “Far as I’m concerned, we’re both on vacation for the summer.”
Dipper tapped his fork on his chin. “So you won’t be studying Gravity Falls for a while?”
“C’mon, brobro,” Mabel chided. “Grunkle Ford’s willingly taking a break for once, let’s not remind him of all the extra stuff he could be doing!”
“That’s not what I meant!” Dipper protested. “I’m just saying…”
“It’s a fair question,” Ford said. “There certainly are plenty of mysteries left unsolved around here. But I think Stanley and I have broadened our focus a bit too much to give special attention to Gravity Falls anymore. Just our brief stay in the Arctic Circle alone has raised so many fascinating questions, and we still have so many more places to investigate… there’s just not enough time to solve all the world’s mysteries, I’m afraid.”
“Hey, relax, Poindexter,” Stan cut in, shoving Ford’s shoulder. “We’re not the only ones working on this stuff. Something tells me Gravity Falls’ll be in good hands, even without us.” He gave Dipper a meaningful wink. Mabel couldn’t help but smile at the way her brother’s face lit up.
“Hey, guys?” Dipper asked, leaning back in his chair and trying to seem subtle. “Can we talk after dinner? I was hoping to get some feedback on this project I’m working on…”
Mabel’s smile faded. “Is it about that dumb thesis contest?” She turned to the Grunkles and pointed accusingly at Dipper. “He won’t let me help with it! He wouldn’t shut up about how cool it would be to win and get a big smarty-pants paper published, and now that he’s allowed to start working on it he won’t even tell me what it’s gonna be about! I could have done like fifty illustrations by now if—”
“I told you, there’s nothing to share yet!” Dipper protested. “I’ve… kinda been putting it off. I’ve still got a week until the topic proposal’s due…”
“Then what do you need Stan and Ford’s ‘feedback’ on?”
Dipper tugged at his shirt collar. “Uh… it’s…”
“I could help,” she said, voice a little louder than she’d wanted. “Even if it’s something I’m bad at, I could help make it look cool. If you just told me a little bit about it…”
Dipper sighed. “Look, Mabel, I promise I’ll share it with you soon, okay? I just… I want it to be a surprise.”
Mabel looked at him doubtfully over the rim of her water glass. She wanted to keep prying, but it was clear she was just making him uncomfortable. He didn’t want her help, he just didn’t know how to say it. She could tell.
“Okay,” she said, trying not to sound hurt. It was fine, really. She had high-speed bike riding; Dipper was allowed to have things just for himself too. It was normal for twins to grow apart. She drained the rest of her glass and stared down at the tablecloth.
An awkward silence hung in the air for a moment. Then Stan spoke up. “Speaking of surprises. Hey Sixer, remember that thing we ran into off the coast of Greenland in March?”
Ford laughed. “How could I possibly forget? Now, kids, I don’t know about you, but nothing in my paleontology education gave me the impression that wooly mammoths were aquatic…”
Soon Mabel was too wrapped up in seafaring stories to be sad about anything.
——-
Bill must have fallen asleep at some point. He’d been lying there, in the basement, in the dark, with the Pines’ infernal voices ringing above him, but then something had happened. The voices changed. And suddenly he wasn’t in a basement anymore. He was lying on an exam table, and his arms were strapped down, and his eye wouldn’t close, and the air was thick with antiseptic. And there were voices all around him, moving around him, but he knew he couldn’t look, he just had to keep his eye focused on the stars overhead, just don’t look, just don’t look at them, just pretend they’re not there, pretend you’re among the stars and nothing’s happening, nothing hurts. So he didn’t look away, not even when the quiet voices he could hear through the pain changed again, became painfully familiar, he still didn’t look, even when they started screaming, even when their cries and pleading were drowned out by the sounds of flames, even when the heat waves twisted the air and the crunching, sizzling, tearing sounds and the smell of burning meat drowned out all his other senses he still didn’t look, he didn’t look down, he wouldn’t–
And then he was back in the basement. It was dark and still. The only sound was his own ragged breathing.
He sat up and scrubbed at his face with the blanket he’d been wrapped in. Dreams. He hadn’t been ready to deal with dreams. Other people’s dreams were a riot. Not his own.
He’d been distracted too quickly to dwell on the last one. He’d foolishly hoped that would be the last one for a while. But no, of course not. This world couldn’t allow him even a moment of peace. Every sleep was going to be like this.
In the dark, he staggered to the small bathroom in the back of the room. He ran the cold water in the sink and rinsed his mouth until he forgot the taste of the smoke. It was so vivid. So convincing. Even though none of it had made any sense, it felt real.
He stared numbly at the mirror. Their voices. He’d remembered them, of course. Despite all the worlds that had sprouted and withered between then and now, despite everything he’d tried, he’d never been able to stop remembering them. But he never thought he’d have to hear those voices again.
Someone knocked at the door.
His first thought was “thank god”. He’d been desperately hoping for anything else to think about. His second thought, as he heard the door unlock, was “that could be anybody”. So he stood just at the edge of the room and prepared to run for cover, until a small, high-pitched voice said “It’s me.”
Bill relaxed a little. Not a lot, but more than zero. He scrubbed his face dry and straightened his bowtie before she entered, trying to look as stoic as possible. She didn’t seem to notice anything amiss as she rushed in and slumped against the door to shut it. Both her hands were busy carrying an overloaded paper plate.
Trying her best to not let it fold under the weight of the food piled onto it, she glanced around for a surface to place it on. The curved lid of the wooden chest was considered, then quickly rejected when the plate started sliding. She winced before resorting to setting it down on the floor beside the beanbag. Finally, she retrieved a packet of plastic utensils from a takeout place and laid it beside the plate, trying to make it look presentable.
“We need to get a table or something in here,” she muttered as Bill drew closer to inspect the offering.
“YEAH, SOME APPLIANCES WOULD BE NICE TOO,” he joked. “I’M THINKIN’ A STUDIO APARTMENT KIND OF SETUP. WASHER AND DRYER OVER THERE, THAT CORNER’S THE KITCHEN… FULL-SIZE JACUZZI ON THAT SIDE, OBVIOUSLY…”
“I have six dollars,” Mabel piped up.
Bill laughed before he could stop himself. Encouraged, she went on: “I mean, there’s an empty fish tank and a car battery in the garage. We could make a hole in the side and stick a blowdryer in there for a jet. That’d be fine, right?”
He laughed again. “I LIKE WHERE YOUR HEAD’S AT, KID. IF WE SHUT OFF THE SPRINKLERS, WE COULD SET UP A FIRE PIT IN THE KITCHEN CORNER!”
“Perfect plan!” Mabel laughed along with him, but then seemed to think better of it. “But okay, hold on, we can start with the home renovations later. For now, you should eat.” She pointed to the plate. “It’s just some leftovers from tonight. Figured taking more snacks would look suspicious. But if it, uh… disagrees with you… then just let me know tomorrow.”
That wasn’t a glowing review. Looking dubiously at the alleged “food” on the plate, he didn’t see much reason to doubt it. Still, he tried to look grateful as he picked up a plastic fork. “WILL DO,” he said, trying not to look down.
“I’ll come back down tomorrow, before the others wake up,” she said, crossing back over to the door. “Including Grunkle Ford… ugh, that’s gonna suck. But once I’m back, we’ll figure out a plan, okay?”
Bill glanced around the room. “I THOUGHT THIS WAS THE PLAN,” he said.
“C’mon, you can’t just stay in one tiny dark room all summer! This isn’t Guacamole or something.”
Bill snorted. “GUANTANAMO?”
“Whatever,” she said, flushing. “The point is we need to get you outside once in a while. You have scales, things with scales need sunlight or they get sick. And what’s the point of all this work if you get sick and die??”
She had a point there. Bill shifted uncomfortably, realizing he wasn’t totally sure if the sun thing would apply to him or not. “YEAH, FAIR ENOUGH. KEEP FORGETTING THIS…” he gestured to the body, “…THING NEEDS ‘VITAMINS’ AND SUCHLIKE.”
“Relatable, honestly. But there’s a bunch more stuff to plan out, too! We need to be able to contact each other in emergencies. And, like, a secret knock so you know when it’s me, and a code to communicate…” as she spoke, her hands started flapping with excitement. “Oh my gosh, it’s like one of those spy games Dipper likes. We could make a guidebook with all this stuff! Like a, what, codex? For the code? We could make our own code! You can handle that part— I know that’s your thing, it’s literally your name… I get to do all the art, though. It can have a scrapbook vibe— I gotta find my craft scissors with the zig-zags—”
“KID.” Bill cut her off. “I KNOW IT’S IN YOUR NATURE NOT TO TAKE STUFF SERIOUSLY. IT’S A GOOD TRAIT! MAKES LIFE A LOT MORE BEARABLE. BUT THIS ISN’T SOME SILLY SUMMER CRAFT PROJECT. THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH, GOT IT? CAN WE TRY TO ACT LIKE IT’S IMPORTANT?”
She looked hurt. “Silly things are still important,” she muttered. “We could hide it in here. And even if someone finds it, it could be any goofy old thing I made! Dipper showed me how to do that invisible ink thing; I could act like the empty space is just unfinished parts! I dunno, I just… I thought it’d make this whole thing a little more fun.”
Bill squinted at her as she stared at the floor, arms crossed tight over her chest. Then he rolled his eye. Maybe he was being a choosing beggar here. This was Mabel Pines; of course she’d want to make some stupid game out of this. And the whole plan was to humor her. If this was what it took to keep her invested, he should probably just play along.
“OKAY, FINE. I’M IN,” he sighed. “WE CAN MAKE A BOOK OR WHATEVER.”
She lit up again. “Really?? Yes! Awesome! It’ll be so fun, I promise.” She paused and glanced at the dark window. “But we can start that later. I gotta go get at least a tiny bit of sleep first.”
Bill shrugged. “SURE. CAN’T KEEP THIS BODY ALIVE IF YOURS GIVES OUT.”
“Thanks for the concern,” she snorted. “And see you in the morning.” She gave a quick wave before shutting the door behind her.
Watching the door, he heard the heavy “clunk” of the lock clicking shut, then rapid footsteps bounding up the staircase. He sighed and pinched his forehead. That much youthful energy couldn’t be sustainable. She probably wouldn’t live past 20.
As he waited for the various noises and occupants of the house to settle, he wolfed down the food as fast as he could. The kid was right to be apologetic, but if he ate quickly, he didn’t taste it much. It was just fuel anyway.
When the plate was finally empty, he dropped it back to the floor and picked up the plastic fork. He rinsed it in the sink as well as he could, wiped it dry with the paper napkin that came with the set, then bent one of the tines away from the others. He leaned one side against the crack in the door, listening intently to the silence from above. There wasn’t a whisper of movement.
He stuck the tine of the fork into the lock.
It was more stubborn than your typical household lock, but Bill had bested much worse with much less. It only took a little finagling before he heard the “clunk” he was listening for. Slowly, cautiously, he eased the door open. The hallway was dark and empty. He stashed his impromptu lockpick in his hat, locked the door behind him, and crept up into the house.
—-
The place was as quiet and dark as he’d hoped for. He’d been right to judge by the footsteps above him that they’d all gone to bed. And thankfully, even without his usual glow, the stars outside were bright enough to see by. He crept along with his back against the wall, testing each floorboard before he stepped, scanning his surroundings.
The decor was about the same as he remembered, with a few notable changes. A lot of the ceiling and walls had been replaced; probably necessary after they turned it into a big stupid robot last year. And it seemed like someone else might have moved in. There were some new decorations that weren't anything close to the “style” he’d come to expect from the place. Lace doilies hung from the tops of chairs and sofas like dusty cobwebs, and handmade blankets and wall hangings were scattered all around. Shooting Star was crafty, sure, but these didn’t look like her handiwork. The colors were way too easy on the eye, and there wasn’t a crumb of glitter to be seen. If they were her doing, they were a big step down in quality.
But if they weren’t, it meant an extra person to deal with. Better keep his eye out.
He turned a corner and a massive shape blotted out the hallway ahead. He scrambled back, clenching his teeth tight beneath his eyelids to stop a yell from escaping.
Then his eye adjusted, and he had to stifle an irritated growl. It was just that stupid pig. He’d forgotten how huge it was now, and it looked a lot less pathetic from a low angle. It was sitting in the middle of the floor, directly in his path, staring down at him. Its eyes glittered in the moonlight like two tiny black teeth.
Bill glared up at it defiantly. Just let it try and make a move. He might not have magic, but he still had claws and teeth. A ripped throat wasn’t as flashy as immolation, but it was still perfectly fatal.
The pig returned his stare with no discernable expression. A few silent seconds crept by.
Then the pig gave a grumbly snort and laid its head on the ground. It flopped onto one side and closed its eyes with an indifferent sigh.
Bill hurried on, telling himself to thank his lucky stars instead of feeling indignant. Still, his ego stung a little. Not even livestock saw him as a threat anymore.
To his relief, he had no more surprise encounters as he cased the second floor. The layout of the rooms was about the same as before, which meant the sounds of walking from above his little home base would still be a reliable method of tracking the inhabitants. He steered well clear of all the bedrooms and kept his back to the wall, and the floorboards beneath him kept silent. He was out of practice with walking, sure, but nobody who grew up causing problems ever forgets how to sneak through a hallway.
Once he’d made mental notes of all the storage spaces that might have supplies he could use, he headed for the portal. On the way through the gift shop he snagged a small notepad and pen from behind the desk. Scanning over the portal wreckage, he made a list of the missing components and tools he’d need. In code, obviously; secret codes were literally his name, after all.
Once the darkness outside started to lift away, he cut his work short and headed back. He tore the used page from the notebook and placed it and the pen back where he’d found them, exchanging them for a single paperclip that he stashed in his hat with the paper. That was all he felt comfortable taking for now. It was much too early to start gathering supplies. Anything left out of place would definitely make the kid suspicious. For now, he’d just plan. Make sure everything went as smoothly as it possibly could. He wasn’t sure how he was going to get all the power tools and steel he’d need down to the basement without being noticed, but there was no point freaking out about it now. He’d figure out logistics later. He could pull this off. He was going to pull this off. He had no other choice.
By the time the first pink rays of light had breached the horizon, he was back in the cell. The paperclip made a perfectly serviceable lockpick to latch the door behind him. Like nothing ever happened.
He curled up in his nest of blankets, trying to hold his eye open. Hoping to ward off the dreams a little longer. But eventually his exhaustion won the battle. His eye slid shut.
Maybe the next dream would at least be over quick.
—-
Bill’s wish came true. As soon as he jolted awake, he regretted making it. It felt like he’d been yanked out of a tar pit by his eyelashes, but his brain stayed behind. His head, chest and eye socket all felt like they were stuffed with wet cotton, and his bones were shaking with this sudden painful chill. His thoughts were so slow and muffled that it took a second for him to even realize that someone was staring him right in the face. He lurched away and fell backwards off the beanbag.
Mabel poked her head over the beanbag and beamed down at where he lay on the floor in a tangle of blankets. “Morning!” she said in a bright half-whisper. “How’d you sleep?”
Bill glared up at her with silent disdain. After a moment, she seemed to take that as an answer. “Yeah, me too. Had a lot of stress dreams. Anyway, time to figure some stuff out.”
She disappeared from view for a moment, then reappeared at his side with a fuzzy pink notebook and a chunky pink pen with a glittery pom-pom topper. She leafed through the book for a minute, then looked up at Bill. “You ok?”
“I’M DYING,” Bill croaked. It was barely hyperbole. That freezing, sinking pain just kept getting worse. Every second he kept his eye open, it felt like gravity increased tenfold.
Mabel hissed through her teeth. “Hold on a second.” She vanished from view again, then popped back in with a mason jar full of what looked like the fluid from inside a neon pink glowstick. She propped him upright and shoved it into his hands. “Drink this.”
Bill ought to have been at least a little suspicious of a drink presented so vaguely. But a billion years of drinking cocktails made from substances meant to power quantum reactions, combined with the weight of sheer exhaustion muffling all his thoughts, meant that he barely hesitated before lifting the jar to his eyelids and taking a gulp.
A second later, his eye shot wide open. “WHOA!” he shouted, blinking rapidly.
“Ooh, I might’ve put too many pop rocks in that batch,” Mabel said. She grabbed the jar and shook it, sending frozen fruit shapes and plastic dinosaurs clattering around in a glittery whirlpool. “Mixing it usually helps. Dipper keeps telling me to warn people before I give them this stuff—”
Bill grabbed the jar back. He took an approving glance at the crazy-looking drink— now that his brain was working, he could fully appreciate the vibe— and then knocked back another mouthful. A rush of energy buzzed through his brain, setting his neurons alight like christmas lights hooked up to a nuclear reactor. The dangerously sugary concoction stung the inside of his mouth like acid, but this was a fun kind of pain. “OH, THIS IS PHENOMENAL.”
Mabel’s face lit up. “You like it??”
“DO I?!” One more swig and the jar was empty, and Bill was actually bouncing in place a little. “I FEEL LIKE A WHOLE NEW TRIANGLE! WHAT IS THAT?!”
“It’s Mabel Juice!” she beamed. “My own personal secret recipe! It’s so secret, not even I know what the secret is! Seriously, I hardly ever write the ingredients down.”
Bill laughed. “WELL, COLOR ME IMPRESSED, KID! I HAVEN’T HAD A DRINK THAT GOOD SINCE THAT BATTERY ACID DAQUIRI I MIXED BACK IN THE ‘30s. AND THIS ONE DIDN’T EVEN DISSOLVE MY STOMACH!”
Mabel’s smile dropped for a second, then returned. “I’ll take that as a compliment!” she said proudly. “I’ll bring more down later. I’ve got a million different brews you can try! The others don’t drink much of it, they always complain about how there’s ‘so much sugar’ and it ‘burns their mouths’ or whatever…”
“HEY, THEIR LOSS! I’LL TAKE IT OFF YOUR HANDS! EXTRA BURNING ON THE SIDE, IF YOU’VE GOT IT,” Bill offered. He had to hand it to the kid; she made pouring on the charm pretty easy. In a better world, he would’ve hired her as a barista in the Fearamid.
Mabel grinned, but then her face froze. From somewhere upstairs, the familiar sound of heavy, clomping footsteps rang through the ceiling.
Bill froze in place too, his eye locked on the ceiling. His teeth clenched tight behind his eye socket as he tried to repress his anger. Like a favorite song after you set it as your morning alarm, that sound made his blood boil on contact.
“Grunkle Ford’s up,” Mabel whispered. Bill glanced over to see her watching the ceiling too. “I thought he’d at least sleep ‘til five…”
“RISKY GAMBLE THERE,” Bill muttered. “FORD DOESN’T HAVE A SLEEP SCHEDULE, HE JUST WORKS ‘TIL HE KEELS OVER.”
“He’s working on it,” Mabel said defensively. Maybe Bill hadn’t kept all the derision out of his voice. He kept his mouth shut, just to be safe.
“Okay. Alright. This is fine.” The kid was clearly reassuring herself more than him. “He shouldn’t hear us down here. Nobody heard you screaming your head off the other day, they shouldn’t hear us just talking… we should be fine for now. As long as he doesn’t wander down here and happen to just randomly get close to this room. Or wander upstairs to his office and pass our bedroom and happen to look in and notice I’m not there. So as long as he stays on the exact floor he’s on now, we’ll be okay…”
“KID, RELAX. YOU SOUND LIKE PINETREE,” Bill laughed. “WITH HOW LOUD THOSE STEPS ARE, WE’LL HAVE A TON OF WARNING IF HE HEADS FOR ANY STAIRS. JUST CUT TO THE CHASE SO YOU DIDN’T WAKE ME UP FOR NOTHING.”
She shot another worried glance at the ceiling, then nodded. “Okay. Sure. The chase… hold on.” She grabbed her notepad and pen again, then started rooting around for something else in the backpack she’d brought. “The Chase, part one. Secret messages. Ooh, that’s good.” She opened the book and labeled the first page with that title. Bill bit his tongue to stop himself from pointing out that huge pink bubble letters weren’t the best choice for subtlety.
“Now,” she said, throwing the notebook down like a frazzled detective presenting her notes. “I would’ve loved to, like, build a two-way radio out of soda cans, or find a way to send smoke signals through the A/C system or something. But I think we should wait on that ‘til later. Right now, simplicity’s the name of the game.” With a victorious flourish, she revealed the thing she’d fished out of the bag. It took a second for Bill to parse what the battered old thing even was. A cell phone. An ancient, blocky brick of a flip-screen cell phone.
“YEESH!” he exclaimed as she shoved it into his hands. “WHAT ANCIENT BURIAL GROUND DIDJA DIG THIS THING OUT OF? IT’S OLD ENOUGH TO BE YOUR DAD!”
Mabel snorted. “Give me a break! It was the best one I could find in the closet where Grunkle Stan keeps all his burner phones.”
“WELL, I’D HATE TO SEE THE COMPETITION!” Bill remarked. “WHAT WAS THE WORST ONE, A CLAY TABLET? A BONE CARVED FLUTE TO CALL THE NEANDERTHAL TRIBE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN?”
Mabel hid a giggle behind the turtleneck of her sweater. All according to plan. Jokes were a great way of lowering a mark’s defenses, even if they didn’t land. And despite her best efforts, Shooting Star was a good audience.
He held down the power button and marvelled as the dusty, scuffed screen actually lit up. “WHAAAT! LOOK AT THIS LOGO! THIS COMPANY WENT UNDER IN 2002! THE CEO BURNED DOWN THE OFFICE TO HIDE TAX FRAUD AND MELTED HIS EYELIDS OFF!”
Mabel clapped her hands over her ears. “Ugh!! Why would you tell me that?”
“BECAUSE IT’S HILARIOUS! THE GUY WAS A TOTAL LOSER ANYWAY, HE WAS TOO UPTIGHT TO TAKE MY DEAL AND COULDN’T EVEN HANDLE A WEEK OF NIGHT TERRORS BEFORE HE CRACKED—”
“Anyway!” She cut him off. “This was the only phone I found in the closet that could send texts. We need to be able to keep in touch, so you can let me know if you’re hurt or need more supplies, and I can warn you if people upstairs can hear you practicing your evil laugh or something.”
“WHA— HEY! WHO EVEN— NOBODY NEEDS TO PRACTICE THEIR LAUGH, THAT’S JUST STUPID.” Bill hoped he didn’t sound too defensive. There was no way she actually knew about that, right?
She just rolled her eyes, holding back a smile. “Point is, that phone is yours. Nobody’ll recognize that number. My number’s in there already, you can text me in morse code if you need something.”
Bill looked up from the phone screen to squint at her. “MORSE? C’MON, KID.”
“What’s wrong with morse?”
“THAT’S THE MOST BASIC CODE IN EXISTENCE! YOU REALLY THINK ANYBODY IN THIS HOUSE WOULDN’T RECOGNIZE MORSE WHEN THEY SAW IT?” he said. “YOU THINK THEY’LL SEE YOU ANSWERING TEXTS IN MORSE FROM SOME RANDOM NUMBER AND HAVE ANY OTHER THOUGHT BESIDES ‘SHE’S HIDING SOMETHING’?”
Mabel sighed. “Okay, fine, Mr. Code Snob. What should we use?”
“WE SHOULDN’T ‘USE’ ANYTHING. WE JUST KEEP THINGS VAGUE AND SIMPLE,” he said. “ANYTHING THAT EVEN LOOKS LIKE IT MIGHT BE CODE WILL JUST GET PEOPLE’S ATTENTION. BESIDES, IN A HOUSE FULL OF CON ARTISTS AND MYSTERY DORKS, I DOUBT THERE’S ANY CODE WE COULD USE ON THIS THING THAT NONE OF THEM WILL RECOGNIZE. THESE TEXTS NEED TO BE AS BORING AND UN-MYSTERIOUS AS THEY CAN POSSIBLY BE. SO BORING THAT NOT EVEN PINETREE IN HIS SNOOPIEST MOOD WOULD GLANCE AT ‘EM TWICE.”
Mabel pursed her lips. “Spam!” she said after a minute. “Dipper and I get spam texts from random numbers all the time. We can make up a system where I know what you’re saying based on what you’re trying to sell me. Like a scam alphabet!”
Bill’s eye crinkled with his version of a grin. “NOW YOU’RE TALKING!”
Mabel grabbed her pen and started rattling off scams to list in her notebook. Stan had clearly taught her well, and between the both of them they soon had a massive list to work from. On the opposite page, they listed phrases to match with each scam. “NEED FOOD”, “NEED SUPPLIES”, “INJURY”, “FIRE”, “RACCOON GOT IN”, and so on. As soon as they had a workable “alphabet”, the kid insisted they start deciding on secret knocks. They’d just started to argue about whether “shave-and-a-haircut” was too uncreative, when suddenly Mabel stopped short and held out a hand. Before Bill could ask what was up, he realized what she’d heard. A voice from upstairs. A voice that was much too prepubescent to be Ford’s.
“Dipper’s up,” Mabel hissed. “Why is Dipper up? He never gets up this early on his own… Did he notice I was gone? Is he looking for me?? How am I gonna get back up without—”
“GEEZ, RELAX,” Bill said. “LOOK, THE STAIRCASE TO THE ATTIC IS RIGHT ACROSS FROM THIS ONE. JUST WAIT UNTIL HE’S IN THE KITCHEN…” he pointed to that corner of the house, from where Ford’s voice was now ringing through the ceiling, “AND YOU CAN SNEAK BACK UP WITHOUT BUMPING INTO HIM. JUST DON’T LET HIM SEE YOU LEAVING THE BASEMENT, AND WE’LL BE FINE.”
“I don’t like how much you know about our house.”
Bill pointed to his eye. “REMEMBER HOW HALF THE DECOR IN HERE USED TO BE MY EYES?”
“Yeah, duh. Doesn’t mean it’s not creepy.” She shuddered, and Bill tried not to laugh. At least the memory of his powers still inspired fear… but he didn’t want her knowing how happy that made him.
Mabel gathered up her stuff and headed for the door. “I gotta go before he notices I’m not sleeping. Soon as I get a chance, I’ll sneak back down and we’ll sort out the other stuff on my checklist.”
“FAIR ENOUGH. BE SEEING YOU, KID.” He couldn’t resist putting a little extra emphasis on that word, pointing to his eye again with a smug, half-lidded smile. Shooting Star was his ally for now, sure. But she shouldn’t forget where things really stood. He was the one who was really in control here.
“And I’ll use the We Will Rock You knock.”
“UGH, COME ON!” Bill protested. “I’M TELLING YOU, SHAVE-AND-A-HAIRCUT IS THE GO-TO FOR A REASON, IT’S PRACTICAL—“
“See ya later!” She winked and vanished through the door. The lock clicked heavily into place.
Bill glared daggers at the door until the sound of footsteps had faded away. Then he took off his hat and rifled through the lining, taking a reassuring glance at his folded-up notes. And the paper clip fastening them in place. That dumb kid put way too much trust in that lock. Did she really not realize the danger she’d let into her house? Did she really not know what she was dealing with?
His eye was drawn in by a soft gleam from deep within the hat. He brushed some fabric aside and stared at the fragment of his dimension. It caught the dim light in the room and threw it back much brighter, twisted into colors that didn’t exist anymore. It hurt to look at it with this new eye. He let his gaze rest on it longer than he should have.
Then he tore his eye away and shoved the hat back on. No, she definitely didn’t know. The fact he was still here— still alive— was proof enough of that.

‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃 TXT's Hello Baby!
. . . aka TXT as "fathers" starring in the variety show 'Hello Baby'
genre: headcanons, fluff, a lil bit of crack, a teeny bit of angst warnings: none! word count: 2.3k
author's note: I've been having baby fever, so I was rewatching Hello Baby, specifically SHINee's season (my fav!). it got me thinking of how TXT would be on this show. I spent way more time writing this than I should have, it's been in my drafts for so long with how much I added over weeks lmao. lmk if you guys like this! i might do other groups depending on how well this does lol
comments/reblogs appreciated!!✗♡✗♡
WHAT'S HELLO BABY?
Hello Baby is a variety show by KBS in which idols experience parenthood by caring for one or more babies or toddlers for a certain period of time, usually a couple of months. They also perform "missions" throughout the show to test their skills as parents. The show aired from 2009 to 2013 and starred popular idols like Girls' Generation and SHINee!
The idol groups are usually given letters from the families regarding the children's health, habits, and likes. The show also shines a light on how each child has a different personality, how they express their feelings, and how the idols themselves learn to raise children and help them grow as individuals. Their missions can consist of something small, like making the children snacks, or something larger, for example creating a musical with the kids (MBLAQ did this in their season!). Usually, every episode each group member will compete to see who is the best "parent" by having the children pick who they like the most.
For TXT, I imagine them having to care for two children. To make it fair in this headcanon, one boy and one girl, both between the ages 3-5. (All of my headcanons are based off of interactions TXT has had with children from various videos and media found off the internet!)
CHOI YEONJUN ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
the type of “dad” that is extremely affectionate to the children, he’s a sucker for aegyo, smiles, kisses, etc.
he can't help but spoil them, he will buy them as many gifts as they want if that makes them happy, even if his wallet goes empty
he loves skinship the most: giving/receiving hugs and kisses, tickling, cuddling, and he'll even wrestle with the kids for fun
but sometimes this can feel suffocating for the kids, they’ll push him away at times
he is really good at playing with them, specifically in role-playing! he can be a monster, a patient, a superhero, whatever the kids want
he likes to dress up for them too, even if the kids costumes don't fit his long lanky body he will wear it with pride
is really dramatic when he plays, if he's a doctor's patient expect him to be howling in pain
will definitely make a fool of himself in hopes of making them laugh
he tries to impress them with his dance moves, but they don’t really care, this hurts his pride lol
he makes sure those kids eat good, and will make/order any food they want
while he’s really good with the children when they’re happy, he has a harder time when they’re upset, sad, or angry
when one or both of them cry, he will panic and try to make the situation better rather than comfort them
when they’re feeling down or upset, he will try to make them laugh, which works sometimes, others he will fail
when the kids are angry, whether at him or another member, he has a hard time trying to diffuse the situation
he doesn’t want to be too aggressive and scare them yet he also wants to be able to discipline them, usually it ends with the kids crying anyway
he's voted the 3rd most popular "dad", a position he excitedly accepts, he’s happy the children like him so much
at the end of the show, when giving his video letter to the kids, he will tear up and cry a little, he didn't expect to become so attached to them but he's happy and grateful to have met them
I think he'd keep in touch the most after the show, video calls, little dates, he'd even invite the children to showcases/fan meetings if the families allow
CHOI SOOBIN ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
the type of "dad" who is responsible and reliant but he’s a worrywart
is always checking up on the kids: making sure they like the food, the clothes they wear, and how they’re feeling
he used to not like/really care for kids, but now has a soft spot for them
he’s absolutely baffled and in love with how tiny the kids are compared to him, he thinks it’s so cute how someone can be so tiny and not know
he’s probably the most gentle of the members around the children
he holds them like they're made of glass
he loves it when the children talk to him, whether it’s intelligible or not he likes their baby talk he finds it super cute
likes to imitate them because of this (he, Yeonjun, and Kai do this the most)
he doesn't ask for kisses or hugs bc he doesn't want to feel like he's forcing the kids to show him affection so he really cherishes when they do
when it comes to playing with the kids though he's lacking, mainly because he has difficulty immersing himself in their games
he will still try his best though, and because of that the kids still enjoy playing with him
will play video games with the kids! something family-friendly, like Mario kart, will have one of the kids sit in his lap and "help" them
soobin is really good at comforting the children though! If they cry he will gladly hold them, pet their hair, rock them back and forth, sing a little, anything to make them feel better
when the children become upset or angry, he panics bc he feels the need to fix the situation as fast as possible, he doesn't like to see the children upset or fighting each other
he's voted 4th best "dad" and honestly he's upset, but at least he's not in last place
still petty as hell though, so he's complaining that he's 4th despite all of his efforts to get along and close to the children
he cries in his video letter. 100%. He just loves the time he got to spend with the kids and he's going to miss them so much, he's really thankful
he keeps in touch, but not as often as Yeonjun. he will call once in a while and go visit with a couple of members every few months
CHOI BEOMGYU ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
the type of "dad" to act silly and plays with the kids, he wants to relate to them so they like him more
yet bc of this he often embarrasses himself in front of the kids, his members, the audience...
except he's rough, and often goes overboard; he forgets how young they are
also has a tendency to make everything a competition?? will literally brag to the kids that he's better than them (like bro ur a grown-ass man??)
has definitely made the children cry more than once, proceeds to fake cry louder than them
he doesn't mind skinship or affection from the kids, he accepts it graciously
he just won't initiate it himself, he doesn't feel the need to(?) he'd rather have the children verbally tell him they like him or show it by choosing him over the other members
he really likes talking with the children he finds that their perspective on life and how the world works is a bit refreshing, it reminds him of simpler times
when the kids ask him questions, he gives them silly answers
for example: "will a watermelon grow in your tummy if you eat a seed?"
beomgyu will say that it's not true, then eat a watermelon seed in front of them and the next day stuff his shirt and show the children his watermelon tummy
and yes he will scream about how they need to be careful the next time they eat fruits (they started crying because they thought he was sick)
another one who freaks out when the kids cry or get upset he really doesn't know what to do!
he will be visibly panicked, trying to calm them down with promises of a new toy, looking around the room for a member who can help him
but like I said, he's the cause for half of the children's breakdowns, so most of the time when they cry, he gets put in time-out
is voted last place... I mean are we surprised...
will literally start arguing with the kids for picking him last
in his video letter, I don't imagine him crying, but you can tell he's very sentimental, so much so that you would not recognize him to be the naughty "dad" of the group, he seems so pure
surprisingly he will visit them the second most often after the show! the kids love to play with him so he likes to take them to the park or just hang with them at their homes (he still makes them cry though smh)
KANG TAEHYUN ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
(im ngl i have the least info based on taehyun, there's like even fewer interactions of him with kids that I could find but these are my assumptions with what I could see)
the type of "dad" who is cool and knowledgeable, he's himself but like toned down for kids tbh
is incredibly sweet to them, will indulge in their questions, imagination, etc
knows that children's brains are like sponges, so he tries to turn everything into a fun learning experience!
the way he plays with the kids is through arts and crafts, reading/storytelling, and of course exercising
loves to take the kids to the park, he will most definitely teach them to stretch before running/playing to help their muscles
does magic for the kids! omg they eat it up!! once they know he can do magic they fall in love with him, they call him a wizard
similar to Soobin, he lets the children choose when they want to give kisses and hugs but he also will ask for them as well when he feels like it, just not as frequently as Yeonjun
is surprisingly good at mediating whenever the kids are upset or angry; sure he panics a little, but he's good at hiding it and talking to the kids through their feelings
his only downside is that he doesn't seem to realize the kids are not feeling happy until it's too late, one too many times he has been confused as to why they're crying (if beomgyu isn't the reason)
he has a really calming energy that the children like, it's like it transfers to them they're the best behaved with him
The kids listen to him the most, but no one can pinpoint the exact reason why (Yeonjun and Soobin think it’s because his voice is stern yet reassuring, while Kai and Beomgyu believe it’s because the kids think he's a real wizard and are scared of getting cursed)
is voted 2nd place! he's very proud of this! and yes he does make fun of every member who's below him!
his video letter is very heartfelt, he doesn't cry but you can really feel his sincerity through his message and you can tell he learned a lot about parenting
I like to think that he tends to visit the kids after the show sporadically, sometimes he's alone, sometimes with members, sometimes for hours, sometimes for minutes
HUENING KAI ‧₊˚ ☁️⋅♡𓂃
the "type" of dad who is like a best friend! he's so supportive and loving it's hard to not love him back
is not only kind, he's also very observant and understanding of the children, is the best of the members when it comes to communicating with the children
out of all members I'd say he's the most quipped to being the best "dad" (all thanks to Lea and Bahiyyih!)
they feel a lot of security with him, he's really reassuring and trustworthy
is the best at playing with the kids! no matter what the kids want to do that day, he will give his all and is really quick to adapt to the kids' quick thinking and rule-changing
will play harmless tricks on the other members with the children!
he takes a genuine interest in whatever the kids like, he wants to know why they like it even if he's unfamiliar or not good at it
likes to try and make even normal things fun for the kids, like brushing their teeth, grocery shopping, cleaning the room etc
like Soobin he plays video games with them but always lets the kids win (unlike Beomgyu)
this guy will pull out his guitar and play songs for the kids! actually, any instrument he can get a hold of he will play for them
forms his own lil band with them, teaches them to be gentle with the instruments
will learn to play nursery songs/any song they like so that the kids can sing along (Beomgyu tried this too but could not keep up with the amount of song requests)
again I think it's because he's the middle child, but he's the best at diffusing arguments/fights and mediating such
instead of yelling or getting upset he will try to find a way to comply with both parties
but he also understands that he can't always be friendly, and has moments where he needs to be a bit more serious with the children, he knows how to discipline without scaring the kids or making them feel worse
was voted 1st place! (if you think I'm biased, please watch him and soobin on return of superman on youtube he'd be a great dad!)
is so happy he will dance, sing, bro is having a concert for this immense win
his video letter is so sweet! Kai rarely cries, but I like to imagine he does think extremely fondly of the two children because they remind him of his own family with he was younger so he's a bit more sensitive than usual
but uh oh! bro ghosts them kids just like he ghosts everyone else lmao! the kids only see him when he tags along with the other members, someone is already on the call with them, or just randomly out of the blue (it's not that he doesn't care, he just has a hard time keeping up with people in general)

mundane chores
@bucktommyfluffebruary, day 5. rated G.
💕
"Did you have plans for the rest of the day?" Tommy asks once they've bathed and dried off; it's already close to three thirty so he can't imagine the answer being yes but he wants to make sure he's not keeping Evan from anything.
"Uh, no," Evan says, suddenly seeming a little sheepish. "I know I kinda invited myself over though so feel free to kick me out."
"Evan," Tommy admonishes gently, "I would never kick you out."
He pauses, realising something.
"Although I do need to go grocery shopping, there's nothing in for dinner."
Evan smiles.
"I uh, I actually had an idea, about dinner."
read the rest under the cut or on ao3 // other days here
Tommy raises an interested eyebrow.
"So I know a spot that's really good for stargazing," Evan says, smiling shyly, "and there's supposed to be a meteor shower tonight, so I thought maybe we could get some picnic stuff and drive out there?"
Tommy watches as he visibly tamps his excitement, finishing with a slightly subdued, "if you want," and in that moment Tommy wants to hurt everyone that had ever told Evan he was too much; he hates to watch him censor himself, had hoped that by now he'd know he didn't have to with Tommy.
"Evan," he says softly, stepping into his boyfriend's space and pressing a tender kiss to his soft lips. "I would love that."
Evan's face lights up again.
"Yeah?"
Tommy nods, brushing a gentle thumb across his cheek.
"Yeah. We can take my truck. Get some blankets for the back, make it all cosy."
"That sounds good," Evan says, grin as bright as the stars they'd soon be watching.
"Grocery store then?"
"Yeah," Evan replies, leaning in to kiss Tommy firmly on the lips. "But we need a list first."
********
Tommy hated grocery shopping.
Whatever time of day he went, it always seemed busy, full of people apparently too much in a hurry to remember that a polite 'excuse me' would suffice instead of barging past. Combined with the obnoxious music and inevitable screaming children, Tommy almost always came out with a headache bad enough to make him want to scream.
Today though, with Evan beside him, he almost doesn't notice any of it, too distracted by how adorable his boyfriend is with a checklist.
"So," Evan says, ticking chips off of the list with a satisfied smile, "all we have left to get is something for dessert."
"What about dip for the chips?"
Evan scans through the list, frowning.
"It's not on here."
"Just add it on."
Evan stares at him like he might have lost his mind.
"Add it on?"
"Yeah, you have a pen, write it underneath."
"Tommy that's…" Evan shakes his head, frowning again. "You can't just add stuff on, that's not how it works."
Tommy laughs, reaching to grab for the list but Evan holds it out of his reach.
"Oh that's how we're playing it, hm?" he says, grinning at his dork of a boyfriend; if only grocery shopping was always this fun.

What really gets me about Pinkie is her lack of empathy. Like, if you're supposed to be the element of laughter, shouldn't there be a level of empathy and compassion while spreading joy to other people? And to make matters worse, you can see how much she really gets on her friends' nerves, even when they're walking on eggshells around her. It really does suck how the writers truly fumbled with her character!
As it turns out, her element is 'laughter', not 'joy'. So in a sense, she's incredibly in character. As long as shes laughing and shes having fun, she is adhering to her element. don't let the vibe fool you, I suppose. She was never meant to cheer anybody up, if she does it, it's a happy accident, but the way the writers do it, its clear that Pinkie only serves herself.
it really is messed up, how the showrunners butchered some characters that had incredibly solid awesome concepts. So they wind up like shadows of what they could be xP
...A lot of times, when I write Pinkie I kind of make her really different from canon.Like, i make a super empathetic character with tact and understanding who is silly but also ride or die.
#remember when she spent a whole episode haunting twilight over keeping spikes crush on rarity secret#then in another she couldnt keep the secret that cadance and shining have a baby

NYM :D AHHH MY HEART! MY SOUL THIS IS EVERYTHING!!! Girl, I've gotcha covered <3 One happy dose of Lee!Kageyama coming right up!
True Love- "I could do this all day."
“You’re so ticklish, you couldn’t last five seconds!” Fighting words were dished. The challenge was presented. Kageyama’s ear seemed to twitch- one, twice. Everything felt like it was in slow motion, the way his declaration seemed to get under the setter’s skin.
“The hell I couldn’t!” He twisted to glare, and Hinata had him right where he wanted him. “I’d last way longer than that!”
“Prove it!” Hinata declared, quickly darting forward before shoving his friend down, immediately going for the ribs. “Clock’s ticking!”
“Sh-Shihihihiht!” There was no time to prepare. Almost immediately Kageyama jerked beneath him, full body twitching as he half-curled up. His lips pulled into a reluctant smile, cheeks pinkening slowly. “Bohohohoke, yohoohu sohohon of a- ehehehhaha!”
“Oo, look at that! Wanna give up, Kags? You know you won’t last long.” Hinata moved up to his mid-set of ribs, vibrating his hands rapidly. “I know all your tickle spots.”
“Geh-ehehehehehe! P-PLehehahahhase! I coohohuld do thihihis all day!” Stubborn as ever. Hinata didn’t mind. It made his own task more challenging. “Yohohou’re the ohoohne who’d brhehahak in a sehehehcond!”
“Hey, this is about YOU.” Switching tactics, he slowly walked his fingers up and down his ribs, just barely tapping into his armpits before crawling all the way down to his hips. “I wanna hear you give up! Say it, Kags! Say it!”
“Nehehehver! Aheahhaa, tiiihckle meheheh all yohohohu wahhan’t! Gheahhaha, I’hihihihll nehehehever-GEHHAH!” A sweep to his lower stomach had him singing a different tune. “BOHOHOHOKE! AHEHAHHAHA, NOHOHOT THEHEHERE!”
“Oh? Is this you giving up?” Hinata teased, drilling both thumbs into the spot viciously. In a matter of moments, he got the reaction he wanted.
“GEHAHAH! OHOOHKAY OHOHOKAY STOHOHOHOHP!” Kageyama shrieked, shooting his hands down and gripping Hinata’s wrists. “Ahehehaha..heheahha..sthahahap.”
“Hehe, told you.” Hinata stuck his tongue out, ruffling Kageyama up once more.
“Told me nothing! You didn’t even set a timer!”
“I don’t need a timer! I can tell time!”
“You can’t even count to five!”
“You wanna go again?” Hinata dug into his pocket for his phone. “This time I’ll set a timer!”
“Good! Watch this, Boke- I’m gonna beat my personal best!” With that, the setter quickly switched their positions, going right for Hinata’s armpits and making him scream.
The timer was quickly forgotten as they rolled about the room, laughing all the awhile.

Birthday Gifts {Caitlyn x Vi}
Hear Me Out Cake Event!
A/N: HAPPY HEAR ME OUT CAKE EVENT DAY EVERYONE!! hehe i had so much fun writing for this event and everyone's pieces so far have been so CUTE im really excited to see what the rest of the event will bring!! I hope everyone is looking forward to it and has a fun time hehe~
(Caitlyn was requested anonymously, so I hope this finds you somehow hehe!!)
Summary: It's Caitlyn's birthday, and Vi has a very special gift for her. (contains minor spoilers for arcane season 2!)
Word Count: 1.9k (under the cut!)
Caitlyn frowned as she looked at all of her birthday gifts. A variety of expensive bouquets, fancy bonbons from confectionaries all over Piltover, custom made trinkets and intricate stuffed dolls… She was grateful to have so many people even think of her, but she knew that most of these people did not know her.
This was the privilege and curse of being a Kiramman — many houses and high-class people would try and gain benefits through the Kiramman name, and one of the easiest ways to earn favor was to offer something of worth. At least, worth in the sense that it was expensive or rare, not worth in the sense that it would mean anything to Caitlyn.
With a sigh, Caitlyn began to go through the large pile that had begun to amass in her room. Every year she would receive unnecessary things, and every year she would write sugar-coated cards that would thank the gifters, and every year the gifts would wilt or spoil or collect dust in the corner of her room until they were eventually removed.
Caitlyn hated the waste, but there was nothing she could do with the gifts otherwise — regifting to anyone in Piltover would be detrimental to the Kiramman name, as it would make her seem ungrateful for the gifts she had been offered. But she had no use for any of the gifts, so she would simply grin and bear it as she did all her life.
As Caitlyn read the birthday cards that were tied with fine ribbon to her gifts, she made a mental list of who had given her what. She got so distracted by keeping track of who had given her the chocolates and who had given her a mechanical ballerina that she did not even notice the door to her bedroom opening.
Caitlyn flinched at the sound of an impressed whistle. She whipped her head around and immediately any annoyance and tension that was building up in her was dissolved.
“Happy birthday, Cupcake,” Vi said with a bashful smile. “Sheesh, did I even need to get you anything for your birthday? Seems like you have quite the hoard already.”
Caitlyn rolled her eye and strolled up to Vi, pulling her into an embrace. “Mmm… Just because I have a hoard of material objects doesn’t mean I quite have what I want, yet. Well... I do now.”
Vi kissed the crook of Caitlyn’s neck as they hugged. When they finally pulled away, Vi kissed Caitlyn’s brow and gently rubbed her cheek with her thumb. “You’re too sweet, Cait. But really, I’m kind of embarrassed to give you your gift, now.” Vi handed Caitlyn a small, poorly wrapped gift that was tied up with a piece of dark pink string. “I couldn’t even find nice wrapping paper… It’s just some newspaper I nabbed on the way up.”
Caitlyn shook her head, cupping Vi’s cheeks. “I’m grateful you even thought to get me something. All of these? They’re people that are just hoping to curry favor with my family, they don’t even know what I like.” Caitlyn took the gift from Vi and held her hand. “I want to open yours now… Sit with me?”
Vi nodded her head and Caitlyn led them to her bed, where they sat on the end as Caitlyn gingerly began to untie the string. She chuckled as she struggled with it, and Vi rubbed the back of her neck. “I triple-knotted it…”
“Like a bootlace?”
“What if it came undone?!”
Caitlyn laughed loudly and leaned against Vi’s shoulder, finally managing to untie the string. She tore apart the newspaper, which had been surrounding an old cardboard box. She opened it, and inside was another cardboard box, though this one was new and did not look like it had been tossed around.
Caitlyn raised an eyebrow at Vi. “This isn’t one of those gifts where I have to open ten or more boxes to get to it, is it?”
Vi shook her head with a chuckle. “No, I’m just terrible at wrapping. Your gift is in that box.”
Caitlyn smiled and opened the lid on the smaller cardboard box. Inside was a small wooden music box with a cursive ‘C’ carved into the top of the light wood. It did not look like it was made by a professional artisan, but there was a small note tied to the key of the music box, which Caitlyn tilted slightly to read.
“For the sweetest cupcake,” Caitlyn read aloud, a small smile growing on her lips. “I am so lucky to love you… P.S. the ‘C’ stands– stands for... Vi, I can’t read this, the words are too small.”
“The ‘C’ stands for ‘Caitlyn’ not ‘cupcake,’ I just wanted to make sure you knew that,” Vi said with a grin. “I know it’s nothing fancy, but–”
Caitlyn pressed her lips to Vi’s before she could say anything else and pulled her in close. After a few moments, she pulled away and laughed softly. “Vi, this is… I don’t even know what to say. I love you so much… I’ve never gotten a gift with this much thought in it!” Caitlyn laughed. “And to think you were embarrassed because of all those other gifts… Vi, this is the best gift I’ve gotten.”
Vi smiled softly. “You haven’t even listened to the music, yet.”
Caitlyn hummed and held up the music box, twisting the key. As it began to play, Caitlyn let herself lean into Vi, listening to the tune that played.
“Is this…?”
“Sweet little lamb, dry your tears,” Vi began to sing along softly to the tune as Caitlyn felt her heart swell. “Stay here close, have no fear… The shepherd is gone, but I’m still here… Sweet little lamb, I’m still here…”
“Dear little lamb, close your eyes,” Caitlyn chimed in at the familiar lullaby, staring at the music box as it played the tune. “We’ll be safe beneath these skies… The sun has set, but the moon will rise… Dear little lamb, the moon will rise…”
The music box slowed to a stop and there was silence for a few moments. Caitlyn looked at Vi with awe, unable to express just how much the music box meant to her.
“Vi– This is– How did you know about this lullaby?”
Vi smiled and let her arm wrap around Caitlyn’s waist, pulling her in more as she kissed the top of her head. “You mentioned once that your mother would sing you a lullaby about a lamb to get you to sleep. I wanted you to have something to remember her by… I found that in an antique shop just outside Piltover, but I carved the ‘C’ in it myself.”
Caitlyn sighed softly and clutched the music box close to her chest. “Vi… I truly don’t know what to say. I don’t deserve you, I–”
Vi shook her head and rubbed Caitlyn’s shoulder. “You deserve the world, Cait. I got you this because it’s your first birthday without her, but… Cait– Hey, look at me. You don’t have to say anything for me, this is for you. I’m just glad you like my gift, that’s all I need.”
Caitlyn wanted to tell Vi that there was so much more to this gift than she truly realized. This had given her back a piece of her mother, a piece of something she had lost and never thought she would ever be able to put back together. Vi had experienced loss like Caitlyn, and it was loss that had brought them together and had torn them apart and had helped them heal together again. This music box was not just a thoughtful gift — this music box was so much more.
But instead of saying anything else, Caitlyn nodded her head and pressed her lips to Vi’s.
After they kissed for a few moments, Caitlyn pulled away and looked once more at the music box. She walked it over to her bed stand and placed it beside her carafe. She walked back over to Vi and sat in her lap facing her, cupping Vi’s cheeks.
“Thank you for making my birthday so special…”
Vi smiled and put her hands on Caitlyn’s hips, gently rubbing her thumbs against them. “I hope I can make you feel special every day.”
Caitlyn chuckled. “You make me feel special more than I need to. But today… I think today is a good day to feel special.”
Vi hummed. “You know, I haven’t been counting how many times I’ve kissed you today.”
Caitlyn raised her eyebrow, surprised by the sudden change in topic. “Does it matter?”
“Well, I have to give you twenty-six kisses for your birthday… But I suppose a few extra won’t hurt, right?”
Caitlyn rolled her eye and giggled when Vi began to pepper her neck with kisses. “Hey, that tickles! Vi–!” Vi gently lifted Caitlyn off her lap and onto the bed, continuing to kiss her sporadically all over her neck and jaw. Caitlyn huffed and then began to laugh when Vi gently pinched at her sides. “Wahahait! Don’t actually tickle mehehe!”
“But– You’re so– Cute–!” Vi said, kissing Caitlyn between almost every word. She had begun to kiss Caitlyn’s cheeks and nose as well “Don’t– Make me– Lose– Count–!”
Caitlyn squealed softly when Vi squeezed her hips. “Vi–! Ehehehe!”
Vi slowed down on her kisses and her tickles. She became more purposeful with where she placed her lips and her hands traced gentle circles on Caitlyn’s sides, bringing out sweet giggles as she looked up at Vi with a soft look.
“Twenty-two,” Vi said before kissing Caitlyn’s collarbone. “Twenty-three…” A kiss to Caitlyn’s jaw, just below her ear.
Caitlyn giggled softly, watching Vi as she continued. “Twenty-four,” Vi kissed Caitlyn’s left cheek. “Twenty-five,” Then she kissed Caitlyn’s right cheek.
“One more…” Vi said with a sweet smile, her lips hovering just over Caitlyn’s lips. Caitlyn let her eye flutter shut, but was then surprised by a quick kiss to her nose. “Twenty-six!”
Before Vi could laugh or joke or tease, Caitlyn had her arms around Vi’s neck, pulling her in for a real kiss. Caitlyn could feel Vi melt under her touch and she smiled into the kiss.
“That was twenty-seven,” Vi said with a small smirk.
Caitlyn shrugged. “Well, it made me feel special. Isn’t that the point of today?”
Vi laughed and nodded before pressing her forehead to Caitlyn’s. She tucked some of Caitlyn’s hair behind her ear and then gestured to the pile of gifts in the corner of the room.
“Well, special girl, you still have one or two or a hundred gifts to go through… Do you need any help eating those fancy-looking candies?”
Caitlyn groaned. “I suppose I could use some help…” An idea popped into Caitlyn’s head and she looked up at Vi with her eye bright. “Actually, I think I could use a lot of help.”
Vi raised an eyebrow and Caitlyn stood up, walking over to the pile of gifts. “These almost always go to waste, but… Do you think some of the children in the Undercity would also like to feel special today? I can’t really give these out to anyone in Piltover, otherwise there would be some… well, let’s just say I would have more of a headache dealing with unhappy gifters than writing one or two or a hundred thank-you notes.”
Vi looked at Caitlyn with a wide smile and she nodded her head. “I’m sure there would be quite a few kids who would love this stuff…” Vi walked over to Caitlyn and they began to sort through the gifts. “You’re so special, Cait.”
Caitlyn nudged Vi with a grin. “It’s because it’s my birthday!”

wip wednesday
Tagged by @thevikingwoman. Handing this in ON TIME!! Lol. From the next chapter of Riptide, in which I am back on my Ancient Arlathan worldbuilding bullshit (aka: having way too much fun lol)
"You tricked him?" laughed Felassan. "That's hilarious." "I didn't mean to trick you, Solas," said Rook. "I was just freaked out." "Well, sometimes," said Solas, "it is the way that a person reacts to being freaked out which makes them into an asset." "An asset?" "Will you join the rebellion?" said Felassan, smoking. He was very cute as he watched her, almost flirtatious. Why were they all so cute? And sweet? Did Mythal curate them that way? Maybe she did. "I—yes?" "Very good," said Felassan. "We need more women."
Had to give the taste of Felassan. I've never written him before. ^_^

I’m Really Into You Part 1
I’m Really Into You Part 2
I hate our bi-annual meetings at work. They’re supposed to be “fun team morale building”, but all they do is make me feel like shit. Because, inevitably, someone is going to comment on my weight. “You’ve lost weight!” or “Oh, you look the same!”. I once had someone tell me I looked like I had gained weight. People tend to not have filters when you’re not a size 2. I hit Benny’s speed dial on my phone and he picks up after the second ring.
“Hey sweetheart! You on your way over?” I sigh. “Hey, you ok?”
He always seems to know. “Yeah.”
“Poppy?”
I pause a moment. “Just…people at work suck.”
“Wanna talk about it?”
“No…yes? I don’t know. Maybe I should just go to my place tonight and we can do dinner tomorrow.”
There’s a pause. “If that’s what you want, sure. But I really want you to come over. I miss you.”
A small smile tugs at my lips. “You just saw me yesterday.”
He lets out an overly dramatic whine. “That was forever ago!”
I can’t help but chuckle, picturing his beautiful face and bright blue eyes with a dramatic pout on his lips. “Ok, ok. I’m coming.”
“Yeah you will.”
“Benny!”
“What? I’m psychic too! I can see your future!”
15 minutes later, I pull into his driveway. I glance in the mirror, patting down my hair a little before saying “Fuck it” and just grabbing my bag and walking to the front door. I barely raise my fist to knock before he opens the door, immediately cupping my face and kissing me. It takes me a second but finally I respond, leaning into his kiss as best I can with my bag in one hand and my travel cup in the other.
“Hi, sweetheart,” Benny pulls back just enough to look at me, his large hands still cupping my face.
“Hi Benny.”
He drops my face and takes my bag, letting me enter and take off my shoes while he closes and locks the door. He hangs my bag on a hook and I follow him over to the couch, where he has a drink and some snacks already sitting out. I sit and look at the snacks, tears welling in my eyes.
“Hey hey! No, I didn’t get the chips you hate, I promise!”
I smile sadly, the tears starting to fall as I desperately try to choke them back, wiping at my face with my sleeve. “N-no, you’re perfect.”
He places his hand on my leg. “Then what is it? Was it work?” When I don’t answer, a flash of anger crosses his face. “Those fuckers.”
I let out a choked laugh. “Yeah, they mean well. I think? It’s just…nevermind.”
Benny squeezes my leg. “You can tell me anything, Poppy.”
I take a deep breath. I promised myself I would be open with Benny, especially after he bared himself to me, telling me all about his ptsd and his nightmares, his insecurities, all of it.
“At these big team meetings we have twice a year, I see people I don’t normally see. There’s the usual small talk, but someone almost always talks about my weight. Whether I look like I’ve lost a few pounds, look the same, or even gained weight. Once I had lost about 10 pounds and someone asked if I had gained.” I bury my face in my hands, the tears flowing out. “I’m used to the comments but they still hurt,” my voice is muffled but he hears me.
Gently, Benny grips my forearms, pulling them away from my face before he cups it, waiting for my eyes to find his. “Fuck them, Poppy. You’re gorgeous.”
That sad smile crosses my face again. “You have to say that since you’re my boyfriend. For some reason.” I didn’t mean to say that last part out loud, but I did.
“What?” Benny said in disbelief.
“It’s just you’re so-” I gesture at him. “-hot. And I’m just-” I gesture at myself. “-me.”
“Poppy, I have thought you were gorgeous from the moment I laid eyes on you. I wanted all of you. Your curves, your tits, your ass, your eyes, you. You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me and I don’t know what I did to deserve you because I’ve definitely done some fucked up shit in my life.”
I open my mouth to reply, but he presses a finger to my lips. “Let me show you.” He replaces his finger with his lips, soft at first, his tongue gently pressing against my mouth. I part my lips and he slides his tongue in, dancing around with my own. He gently presses on my shoulders to get me to lie down on my back and I comply, his lips kissing down my jaw and sucking on a spot on my neck that has me gasping. His fingers deftly undo the buttons on my shirt and he flings it open, his lips starting a path down to my chest.
“Ooo front open bra!”
I can’t help but giggle at his enthusiasm, the laugh catching in my throat as he pops open my bra and immediately starts lapping at my chest, tongue swirling around my nipples. He sucks one in his mouth and I groan, pressing my hips up against his, feeling how hard he is in his pants already. He pulls his head back and grabs a boob in each hand, kneading and squeezing them as he brushes his thumb over my peaked nipples.
“These are the best tits I’ve ever seen. And I get to put them in my mouth.” He resumes lapping at them, chuckling darkly when my hips buck up again, a quiet moan all I can manage in response. He pulls the top of my skirt down slightly and starts to move down to my stomach, and this is where I twitch. He knows it’s a sensitive area for me, always self-conscious. But he takes his time, kissing and licking and gripping me, bucking his own hips into the couch.
“Fuck you are so hot. I love your curves.”
He bunches the edges of my skirt up in his fists, kissing my thighs as he does so. Then he looks up at me, a sparkle in his eyes as he winks, his head disappearing under my skirt. He presses my legs apart more and before I can say anything, he slides my underwear to the side and licks straight up me, my hips bucking into his face. He slides an arm across my lower belly, firmly keeping me in place as he laps at me, his tongue swirling around my clit as I gasp and moan, my hands twisting into the couch cushions as I could not grip his hair.
“Oh fuck, Benny! There!” He found a spot that makes my leg twitch, massaging it with his tongue for a moment before he slides 2 fingers inside me, immediately curling them and finding that magical spot.
“Cum for me, sweetheart,” he speaks lowly against my cunt, his voice vibrating through me and I lose it, his name tumbling from my lips in praise as wave after wave of pleasure passes over me. I start to come down, but he doesn’t move, reaffirming his grip on my stomach.
“Not done with you yet,” he mumbles, diving back in, his tongue finding another spot that makes both of my legs twitch this time. I manage to prop myself up enough to look between my legs, his broad shoulders poking out from under my skirt where his head is fully lodged. When he licks against me again I come undone, hips twitching as I cry his name. I come down and he pulls his head out, hair all mussed up, his chin glistening with me, a big stupid smile on his face.
“I want you to think of me between your legs every time you wear this skirt.”
That rushes straight between my legs, despite the last several minutes. “Fuck yeah I will.”
He sits up and reaches over his back, pulling his shirt from himself. I lean up and start to undo his pants, Benny chuckling as he watches me. “Can’t wait, huh?” I shake my head as I pull down his zipper. He pushes my legs wider as I pull down his boxers and lay back, slapping his dick against my overstimulated pussy and I jolt. He grips my knees and pushes them a little more wider, notching himself at my entrance.
“Now I’m going to fuck your gorgeous self into this couch and you’re going to take it like my good girl, right?” I nod furiously.
He slides himself in with one push of his hips and I cry out, his body laying over mine as he pounds into me, praise whispered in my ear between grunts. “You’re so fucking hot, Poppy…never been this turned on in my life…I swear it’s like I’m a teenager again…I just want to be inside you all day or between your legs…fuck your tits have good bounce!”
I reach up and pinch my own nipples, eliciting a moan not only from me but from Benny too. “Fuck yeah, Poppy. You’re so hot - touch yourself. Show me how hot you are.”
I hesitate a moment, having never touched myself in front of him, or anyone, before. But I trust the man currently buried inside of me with my entire heart. So I lift two fingers to his mouth and slide them inside, Benny swirling his tongue around them with a groan before I pull them out and place them on my clit, teasing myself how I like. The difference is, I’ve never had a man pounding me senseless while I did this and oh fuck this is hot. Benny pushes himself up, his eyes watching where I’m touching myself.
“Just like you like, Poppy. Oh fuck, this is hot, I’m gonna…cum with me!”
And I do. I cum yelling his name as he continues to press deeper into me, my fingers still dancing across my clit as my legs twitch, my pussy tightening around him as he spills into me, my name a chant on his own lips. He leans down, still inside me, as he presses a soft kiss to my lips.
“Feel better, sweetheart?”
I’m smiling genuinely this time, my entire body warm and relaxed as I nod. “Feeling loved.”
Oh. Fuck. What did I just say?
My eyes fly open as I look at him. We had never said that out loud. But Benny’s smile is wider than mine. “That’s because I love you, Poppy.”
“Y-you do?”
He kisses me again, still soft. “I have for a while.”
“I love you too, Benny. So much.”
The kiss heats up and I feel him twitch inside me. “Let’s go to the bedroom. I want to spread you out and show you how much I love you.”

Purple
Not writing wolfstar for once! Who cheered
Jegulus oneshot
Teeny warning, things get a little steamy (wink)
Enjoy!
“I get the yellow ones!” Sirius exclaimed as he reached over to snatch the bag full of yellow sweets from his boyfriend’s hand. Remus leaned away, holding the bag far above his head and out of his reach.
“I called dibs on the yellow ones Padfoot.” He replied irritably. James had gotten red, Regulus, blue, Sirius was left with green. He hated that color; it made his skin crawl.
But Sirius just grinned playfully, taking Remus’ reluctance as a challenge rather than a rejection.
“Oh but you love me, don’t you?” He asked sweetly, batting his eyelashes.
Remus sputtered, a red tint to his cheeks. “I- what-“
“See, someone who loved me truly would give me any candy I want. Isn’t that right Prongs?” He asked, looking back to James.
James snuck a small glance at Regulus at his side when Sirius said the word “loved.” His eyes quickly snapped back to Sirius,’ his best friend cocking his eyebrow suspiciously. James’ licked his lips, stretching them into a playful grin.
“Why of course Padfoot.” He said with mock-sincerity . He looked to Remus, who looked nervous and confused. “Moony, you wouldn’t want Sirius to feel unloved would you?!”
Remus let out a little growl. “Oh fine!” He tossed the bag of yellow sweets to Sirius, who laughed and pecked his boyfriend on the cheek in appreciation.
“Going soft are we, Moony?” James teased, casually popping a red candy into his mouth.
Remus merely glared back at both James and Regulus. He smirked knowingly. “I don’t want to hear about ‘going soft’ from you of all people, Prongs.”
James soon began to choke on the candy, hacking and coughing. Regulus briefly brushed a comforting hand against his back as he doubled over, before finally spitting the candy out onto the path they were walking from Honeydukes.
Sirius made a show of gagging, before Remus quickly batted him over the head.
As James came back up, Regulus suddenly spoke up. “Merlin!” He said in that soft, voice of his. “I forgot I needed more quills, you don’t mind if James comes with me to get some, do you? I remember him saying something about new quills too.”
James looked at him in confusion. “Quills? Wha-“ Regulus jabbed him in the ribs. “Ow! Oh. Ohhh.” He cleared his throat, pasting an awkward smile on his face. “Ah, yes. Yes I needed some more quills. Very important.”
Remus and Sirius looked at eachother, before looking back at them.
“Uh yeah, sure?” Sirius replied, unsure.
Remus smirked. “Have fun, quill shopping!”
And the two of them walked away together, Sirius laughing at something he said. Remus smiled at him softly.
Regulus immediately grabbed James by the hand, leading him away with urgency. James just followed him with a goofy smile on his face.
They walked until they found a suitable alleyway to hide away in. Regulus looked around cautiously, before dragging James into the alleyway by the hand.
James clumsily pushed him to the wall, using his large, muscled, arms to lean up flush against him.
Regulus looked at him through his lashes, face carefully neutral. His hands wandered across James’ chest. “You. Are a bad liar.”
James just grinned before Regulus yanked him down by the tie, forcing his lips to crash against his.
He pushed him against the wall harder, deepening this kiss and also provoking a small grunt from Regulus. James’ skin buzzed pleasantly, as if he had took few shots of fire whisky. Except this wasn’t firewhiskey, this was so much better.
They quickly pulled away from eachother, gasping for breath. James leaned for to kiss him on the corner of his mouth, trailing down his pale skin.
“Remus knows.” He murmured in between each kiss.
“…Maybe.” Regulus replied, amused. He took in a sharp gasp when James got to a particularly sensitive spot under his ear.
“I wonder how.”
“Hmmm…” Regulus hummed. He lazily brushed a hand underneath his shirt. All toned, tanned, smooth skin. He had always loved James’ skin; it was always so nice to feel and look at. James let out a little shudder.
“Your hands are cold, love.” James said under his breath. He grabbed the slender hand trailing along his stomach, bringing it to his mouth and kissing each and every knuckle. He made sure to look Regulus in the eyes as he did. Regulus smiled softly, shyly. He looked away.
“Could you forgive me for telling him?” Regulus asked, biting his lip.
James grinned. “Oh, I suppose. It’ll cost you, though.”
Regulus didn’t get to reply before James’ lips was on his again.
#
“How long does it take to buy quills?” Remus asked irritably. He kicked a stone in frustration.
Sirius snorted. “Knowing Prongs, he’s probably got distracted by quidditch supplies on the way home.”
“You know Regulus would never allow that.”
Sirius hummed thoughtfully. “They could’ve stopped by Zonko’s?“
Remus just shrugged.
Regulus and James walked up to them, their hands lacking the supposed “quills” they so urgently needed to buy.
Sirius’ eyes narrowed as they approached. Their clothes were ruffled, their lips puffy and red.
But what really made him suspicious was the slight purple tint to their lips.
Sirius suddenly stormed up to James, yanking him by the collar.
“Hey! Wha-“
“Open your mouth.”
“What?!”
“James.” Sirius snapped threateningly. “Open. Your. Mouth.”
James looked to Regulus and Remus nervously. Regulus had that careful neutral on his face, but Remus was smiling.
James looked back to Sirius. He swallowed before opening his mouth hesitantly.
Sirius studied the inside. His teeth, his gums, his bright purple tongue. They never bought purple candies, only green, blue, red, and yellow ones.
Sirius gasped in realization. “JAMES FLEAMONT POTTER! ARE YOU SNOGGING MY LITTLE BROTHER?”
James just smiled nervously, praying to whatever god there was that he doesn’t get his ass beat. Remus bursted into laughter.
“To be fair, I kissed him back.” Regulus spoke up.
James grinned at him. “After you dragged me into an alleyw-“
“STOP!” Sirius shouted, roughly releasing James’ collar to cover his ears. “I don’t want to hear about my little brother’s love life!”
The two culprits looked at eachother smugly.
“I’m in LOVE-LOVE with James Fleamont Potter.” Regulus gushed dramatically.
“Isn’t REGULUS BLACK just so lovely?”
“STOP!” Sirius shrieked as he began to walk away, but they only followed him.
“I think James is the most handsome man I’ve ever seen!”
“Aww, I love you so much Reggie-bear!”
“NO!!”
And Sirius bolted off as they dissolved into a fit of giggles.
Hi ik regulus would probably NEVER participate in the last part but it was too funny NOT to include and this is my silly fic so shhh
