pairing: roronoa zoro x fem!reader
summary: as a master thief, you pride yourself on never getting caught. that is until you're caught by the straw hats as you try stealing from their ship. unable to turn you in to the authorities just yet, they'll have to make due with storing you on the going merry in the meantime. but, your time in confinement has allowed you to get particularly close to a certain swordsman. how close the two of you get is to be decided though.
warnings/info: nsfw mdni, oral sex (fem receiving), alcohol consumption, drunk/tipsy sex, face riding, my own sex headcanons for zoro are VERY clear here lmao ,takes place in between jaya and skypiea (please pretend theres more time at sea in between those arcs cause this will not work otherwise OK THANKS), this is for the pre-time skip zoro girlies (he's 19 pre-time skip dont come for me), no use of y/n, the first half of this is just cute shenanigans between reader and the straw hats. its a lot of character building stuff but i like it.

You didn’t know any of their names.
You had been aboard the Going Merry for about three weeks now, and you still hadn’t learned anyone’s names. Granted, your reason for being there wasn’t to make friends anyway. That wasn’t particularly easy to do, being tied up in some storage closet and all.
Being one of the few residents who actually lived on Jaya had allowed you to pick up a skill or two when it came to stealing. Pirates with big bounties and even bigger treasures left their ships unattended at the docks, leaving you with some perfect quick heists from time to time. Some steals were easier than others. As much as you believed in your talents, most of the time your ability to get out unscathed was based purely on the luck of the draw. It wasn’t an easy life, many recent nights leaving you with more injuries than berries and gold pieces, but it was all you knew having lived here for so long.
After having taken a break from heists for a bit, you finally laid your eyes on a ship worth stealing from. A pirate ship with a goat out in front and seemingly orange trees next to the helm. Most of the ships at the dock had been there for a while, leaving the pirates on board used to your tricks already. Being low on cash was another factor. So, after a bit of planning, you made your way onto the ship.
Earlier, you had found that one of the windows to a cabin had been left open, so you decided to make your entrance through there. You gathered your things and dove into the crystal blue water by the dock. Once you made it to the back of the ship, you took your rope, with your own handmade grappling hook at the end, and swung it to hook on the window sill. Luckily for you, it stuck the landing on the first try. You smirked to yourself and used the hook as leverage to climb up onto the ship. Unfortunately, this seemed to be the ship’s bathroom. Not super ideal. You’d have to venture more out into the ship. But with this came the risk of getting caught. Given your dire circumstances though, it was a risk you were willing to take.
With an attempt to make as little creak as possible, you slightly opened the door into the rest of the interior. Coast was clear so far. Suddenly, a shake rattled throughout the interior. You tumbled onto the floor, pushing open a door due to your unbalance. What the fuck was that, you thought to yourself. It quickly became no matter though, when you noticed the door had opened up to a room with a treasure chest tucked away in the back. Jackpot. You slyly made your way into the room and shut the door behind you.
The room was neatly kept, with bookshelves, a couch, two sleeping hammocks, and a desk with navigation tools on it. There was even a bar. Though temptation pursued at you, you had to stay on task. While making your way over to the chest, you heard different creaks vibrating across the walls of the ship. You prayed to yourself that it was just the wood’s reaction to the waves. As you had predicted, the chest was locked, so you searched your bag for anything that could key the lock.
Time became of the essence quickly as the thuds and creaks on the ship grew louder and louder. Finally, the lock to the chest made a perfect click, as the chest unlocked. You lifted the roof of the chest to find a sight for sore eyes: jewels and gold galore. This was it, you were set. You were so in awe with the vision before you, that you had failed to notice the woman standing behind you. The image you saw in one of the emeralds was a tall figure, with jet-black hair just below her shoulders, and dazzling blue eyes. “Looking for something?” the woman questioned, almost sarcastically. You seemed to have forgotten rule number one of thieving. Remember to lock the door behind you.
Quick on your feet, you whip around to throw a punch in her face, but her reflexes seem to be quicker than yours by the way she catches your fist. You then attempt to kick out her legs. The image you see next shakes you to your core. A hand, seeming to appear out of thin air, attaches itself to your calf. The hand then slowly raises your fear-frozen body into the air, dangling you upside down like a party toy. You attempt to throw more hits at her, all seeming to be in vain though. You kick and scream, like a child throwing a tantrum, in an attempt to get out. The woman looks out into the hallway and signals over another one of her companions. Fuck, this is turning sour fast. Before you can make out any other features of the man, besides his cartoonishly long nose, he uses his slingshot to pelt a rock towards your forehead. Your vision goes black as the rest of the pirates rush into the room.
The rough fibers of the rope tying your wrists together were the first thing you felt as you woke up. This was quickly followed by the underlying nausea from the waves rocking the boat, reminding you why you preferred to stay on land. You attempted to stand up, but your dizziness and the rope tying you to the floor weren’t letting you get very far. Suddenly, the door to whatever room you were in swung open, and the group of 7 pirates living on board entered the room. You slinked yourself along the back wall, attempting to disappear into your skin. You weren’t sure what felt worse: The fear of what they were going to do to you, or the embarrassment that you had been doing this for so long and still got caught.
Nope, definitely the embarrassment.
The man, no boy was a better word to describe him, standing in the middle of them attempted to speak to you before a woman with short orange hair cut him off. “If you think we’re gonna let you get off easily just because we’re also pirates, you’d be sorely mistaken!” she spoke, fiery anger lacing her words. The tall woman from earlier put her hand on her shoulder, calming her down, and walked out towards you. You tried to scoot away as much as you could as she crouched down to your level.
“Listen, we want this to be over as much as you do. We would love nothing more than to get you off our ship and drop you off at the nearest island. But unfortunately for us, that would mean having to find a group of marines to hand you over to, who we aren’t the best of friends with right now. And we can’t drop you back off at Jaya since we’re too far by this point. So, for now, we’ll just have to keep you tied down here if that works out with you.” You began to speak before the woman cut you off. “You don’t have much of a choice in the matter by the way.”
She stood back up and began to exit the room, the other pirates following her except for two. The boy with the straw hat and another man, with striking green hair and three swords lying in a holster on his belt. The boy looked somberly at you as if he was against this whole idea. But the green-haired one just stared at you. As uncomfortable as it made you feel, you couldn’t help staring back into his piercingly soft eyes. “Come on, let’s go,” the green-haired man said to the boy, finally breaking eye contact and turning his back to leave. The boy followed him shortly after. As he closed the door, you had nothing left to focus on except for the itchiness of the rope, the empty stuffiness surrounding the storage room, and your worsening seasickness.
The following weeks had the same routine. Each of the pirates on board took individual shifts watching you during the day when they were just out at sea. The strange reindeer creature would watch you when they were out on islands. The first shift was taken by the tall black-haired woman. She would come in at the break of dawn to make sure you didn’t find some way to escape at night. You two would sit in silence for a little more than two hours, asking and answering some questions before switching spots with the blonde one. His company was strange, with him hitting on you at random points in your conversations, but he always brought you breakfast in the morning. As much as he made you uncomfortable sometimes, you couldn’t deny that his cooking was the best you’d had in years. He’d even let you take a hit off his cigarettes if you ever asked, so his visits had its perks.
The next shift was taken by the orange-haired one. The first thing she would always do when walking into the room was ask you how creepy the blonde one was. The answer varied on the day. Once she warmed up to you, she would bring you tangerines from the trees out on the deck. As the days passed, she eventually explained that the treasure you attempted to steal belonged to her, which you begrudgingly apologized for. On some level, you felt bad. These seemed to be small-time pirates, just trying to get by like you were. The more you learned about each of them, the worse you felt about your actions towards them.
Around lunchtime, the long-nosed one would bring you your meal, cooked again by the blonde man. This member would go into detail about his next invention he was working on in his workshop. You admired his passion and energy towards his craft. His rants and rambles were normally interrupted by the reindeer creature coming in for his shift, causing intense, yet entertaining, arguments to break out between the two of them. The reindeer was the sweetest of all the crew members, always checking in on your health and helping you with your seasickness. He would talk about his home and his experiences there. You developed a pity for the creature. His presence was calming, and you felt as if you could let your guard down around him. That would change as soon as the straw hat boy would come bouncing into the room, scaring both you and the animal. You would soon come to learn the energetic boy was the captain of the ship, which shocked you. But you soon came to understand why. His crew had a massive respect for him, even if he was the root of half their problems.
Being on the ship, you got extremely close to all the pirates. Even the tall woman from before seemed to respect you in some way. You enjoyed all of their company. There was something strange about them though. One morning early in your stay on the ship, you could’ve sworn you’d heard the tall woman say something to the rest of the crew.
“Whatever you do, don’t tell her your name. Your name is your biggest secret.”
You didn’t know any of their names. You had thought you heard some of them speak it to each other in passing conversations, but not enough to remember who was who. You had bonded with them, but if someone put a gun to your head and told you to name your prison guard pirates, you’d be dead in seconds.
Except for one.
Zoro seemed to be his name. He would come in for the last shift. His presence didn’t frighten you, but it slightly intimidated you. His habit of carrying his swords everywhere he went wasn’t helping. He was silent his entire shift, normally dosing off halfway through after spending around an hour sharpening his swords You didn’t even attempt to make conversation with him. You found out his name when the captain would yell for him to get back to his sleeping quarters. “Zoro! Your shift’s done, you can sleep for real now!” he shouted across the hall the first time it happened. Zoro almost bounced up from his sleep and gave you one look before bolting out of the room to catch up to the captain. You could hear the echoes of their bickering from down the hall as you giggled to yourself. At least he didn’t seem to always be that stern.
It seemed crazy to you. His name was the only one you knew, yet you knew the least about him. He had hardly said 5 sentences to you in the three weeks you had been on the boat. His stoicism was one of the things that drew you into him though. Something about his demeanor, how intensely he would sharpen his swords, how his worries seemed to melt away the minute he escaped into a slumber, and how alive he seemed when he was with his crew. It was enticing. You wanted to know more. You attempted asking him questions about himself, but the most you would get were one to two-word answers. The most you got from him was when your seasickness finally got to you, causing you to puke up the dinner the blonde one made for you. “Woah, are you okay?” he asked concernedly, shooting up from his seat. When your only response was a cough and more puke, he ran out of the room to go get the reindeer. One thing he failed to do was close the door behind him.
You speculated your options. You had no idea where you were. You could be out in the middle of the ocean. Or you could be right about to dock at land. If you managed to scrape yourself about the ever-loosening rope and sneak out, you’d be free. You’d never have to worry about these pirates again.
At this point though, did you want to?
You took too long to decide, the reindeer rushing into the room with his medical kit, the blonde one short behind him. As the reindeer gave you a dose of medicine and cleaned up your mess and the blonde one held your hand and consoled you, your attention stayed by the doorframe. Zoro leaned against the wood, watching the work from afar. What shocked you most of all was his face. For a man who seemed so disinterested in you and your existence, his brows were furrowed, his cheeks had a light pink stain on them, and a slight frown invaded his face. He was concerned. Maybe even a little nervous. But why? He’d never shown any sort of emotion towards you before other than sleepiness. Once the reindeer and the blonde one left, he continued with his shift. You noticed something though. He sat closer to you than he normally did.
You couldn’t tell, but you were blushing the rest of his shift.
Once he left, you sat in silence, thoughts racing through your mind, until you finally fell asleep.
You noticed a change in his behavior in the next few days. When you would ask him a question, he would respond now. And with more than just a “yes” or “no” too. He had more energy around you and wouldn’t spend his whole shift asleep. He would even let out a chuckle now and then. You didn’t know what you had done differently to get him like this, but you liked him like this. He was sweeter than he let on.
Something had changed in you too though. On the occasions, you would catch yourself looking over his appearance. The more you observed, the more you realized how handsome he was. His clear, warm skin, his hypnotic eyes, his striking hair. You caught his appearance giving you butterflies when he would walk into your storage room. Your heart skipping a beat when he would give you even the smallest smile. You would stare even more when he would nap during his shift. Noticing certain things. The way his breath would hitch sometimes. How he always slept with his mouth open and would wake himself up sometimes with his dry mouth coughs. How his chest rose and fell with his soft breaths. How fighting with a sword in his mouth probably made his tongue stronger than other men you’ve met. You felt weird about it sometimes. Almost like some freakish stalker. But you would feel better about yourself whenever you would catch him staring at you out of the corner of your eye.
As time went on, the crew began to give you some more freedom. The tall woman began leaving some of her archeology books in the storage room to keep you entertained. The orange-haired one would show you all her marked-up maps. The long-nosed one would even let you out of the rope to test his inventions from time to time. With the door locked of course. And then, the big display came. One day, during everyone’s shift, they told you their names. The blonde one was Sanji. The orange-haired one was Nami. The reindeer was Chopper. The long-nosed one was Usopp. Their captain was Luffy. And the tall woman, who initiated your imprisonment, was Robin. It was a small gesture, but it meant the world to you. With each passing shift, you grew more excited for the next. To learn the next pirate’s name, and with that, their story. Until the last shift of the day came. And you realized.
You already knew his name.
“My name’s Zoro,” he said quietly. “I know,” you replied, bluntly.
Something felt different about this shift. You didn’t feel the same excitement you normally felt when seeing him. Without your connection to him before, his being the only name you knew, something about him just didn’t excite you as much. Now he noticed your behavior change. “You okay?” he inquired. “Mhm,” you responded in monotony. The rest of his time there was spent in silence.
You felt bad about what you were doing. This wasn’t his fault. Yet you were acting like this. It was almost as if the two of you swapped places. He was now the one trying to dig information out of you. And you gave him nothing more than blank faces and empty words. You wished you could figure out why you were acting like this, but you had no clue.
Today though, the crew was going to take an extra step towards including you. Throughout your time on the Going Merry, you had only left your little storage room prison a few times. To go to the bathroom and visit the kitchen on special occasions. But you hadn’t seen the sun in weeks. After proving to the crew you had changed, they planned a little surprise for you.
Robin woke you up earlier than usual. “Is everything ok?” you asked, still half asleep. Robin just smiled at you. “Come on, get up.” You looked at her confused, as she walked over to your restraints, untying you from the hook keeping the rope down. She took you by your restraints and walked you out to the room. The mix of drowsiness and confusion left you slightly panicked as you realized she was walking you out to the deck. She opened the door to a still-dark morning.
The rest of the Straw Hats were sitting out on the deck, just conversing and eating an extra early breakfast, courtesy of Sanji. They all turned to you once you and Robin walked out. “What’s going on,” you asked, still very confused. “On Thursdays, we all like to get up early and sit out and watch the sunrise. And we were talking about it, and we felt like you should join us this time,” Nami smiled. She stood up and pranced over to you, mouth slightly agape and speechless, and took you over to sit in between her and Zoro. You turned to Zoro, overwhelmed with emotions.
It had been so long since you felt a part of a community of people. You never exactly fit in with the ruthless bands of pirates coming and going on Jaya. Finally feeling connected to people, especially after you wronged them so horribly, brought you happiness you hadn’t felt in ages.
A singular “I-” was all you could manage to get out, a tear trickling down your cheek. “Just enjoy it. They’ll be at each other’s throats again in a minute,” he joked, getting a soft laugh out of you. He smiled gently, brushing the tear off your cheek. His finger lingered there longer than expected. You blushed. The butterflies were back and you caught yourself staring again.
“What’s that supposed to mean!” Nami interrupted. “Well, it’s true!” Zoro retorted, leaning over you to yell at Nami. The two began arguing as you noticed the sun starting to peak out over the horizon. “Shut up you two, you’re gonna make her miss it!” Usopp and Luffy yelled. They stopped bickering once they also noticed the sky begin to turn orange.
The pinks and oranges mixed together in a beautiful watercolor painting as the sun reflected its image on the ocean. The soft waves bobbed the ship up and down in a calming hypnotic motion, almost putting you back to sleep. The beauty of it all was so serene. Against popular opinion, you always preferred sunrises to sunsets. The representation of a new day beginning. It gave you hope in your most dire situations.
You lifted your head back to see the colors slowly spreading to the rest of the sky. Everyone to your right was in the same headspace you were like they were in some sort of trance. They were all cuddling against each other, Robin holding Chopper in her lap, Luffy and Usopp mimicking each other’s smiles, and Nami resting her head on Sanji’s shoulder. They all seemed so close to each other. Like a little family. Connected. You turned to Zoro to see if he was doing the same as the others, but all you found was his eyes softly gazing into yours, and his hand slowly inching towards yours. The minute he snapped out of it, he sharply turned his head and hand away and cleared his throat. You couldn't help but laugh at his schoolboy behavior. With your ego controlling your actions, you took his hand and slowly intertwined his fingers with yours. You could see a smile float onto his face out of the corner of your eye. You did the same.
The rest of the day was spent out on the deck. The feeling of the sun on your skin for the first time in weeks was euphoric. All you wanted to do was soak it all in. The Straw Hats must have been in a good mood today, because, with some extra convincing, you got them to finally take off your shackles. You spent most of the day sunbathing out on the deck with Nami. She had let you borrow one of your bikinis. You two were slightly different sizes though, so the suit was a little tight on you. You didn’t mind very much. You were just happy to be out of the same clothes you had worn for 3 weeks. Sanji didn’t mind either, ogling both you and Nami and basically worshipping the two of you. “It’s ok, he’ll get over it in a few hours,” Nami consoled. You circled the deck a few times to see if Zoro was anywhere in sight, but you couldn’t seem to find him. He probably went inside to nap away from the heat. Part of you wanted him to get the rest he deserved. The other really wanted him to see you in your outfit.
The day really took a turn when Usopp brought out the liquor from the kitchen. “I was saving that asshole!” Sanji yelled. “Oh come on, this is a special occasion!” Usopp pleaded. With some more convincing, Sanji finally gave in. You and the crew got increasingly drunk throughout the evening, Zoro eventually coming out from wherever he was napping to join the party. You all had even decided to jump into the ocean and swim around for a little bit. All except for Chopper, very sober and very nervous for any incoming sea monsters. He had managed to get you all back onto the ship with some very convincing pleading.
You and Zoro caught each other catching glimpses of one another throughout the rest of the day. Zoro admiring your figure in the swimsuit, and you ogling at the way his damp shirt hugged at his muscles. One by one, as day grew into night, crew members began to pass out on the deck, deciding to sleep outside for the night. You and the other members who wanted to go back into the cabin, Zoro and Robin, made your way back down into the ship. “Make sure you tie her back up. No hard feelings but we can’t be too careful.” Even slightly tipsy, she was still her stern old self. “Yeah whatever whatever, goodnight to you too,” Zoro drunkenly pushed off. You giggled and blushed as he took your hand and led you down the stairs into the cabin. Robin sighed to herself as she watched the two of you scamper off.
You felt your heartbeat get increasingly faster as he led you to your room. For some reason, the air in the hallway got thicker as you got closer. You blamed it on your tipsiness. But your heart slowly sank as you got to the door, realizing you had to say goodbye to Zoro for the day. He opened the door and stumbled into your room, leading you in behind him. He closed the door behind him, hesitating for a moment before going to wrap the rope back around your wrists.
He seems distressed for some reason, breathing heavily and avoiding eye contact. You look down at your hands, as he so gently maneuvers the rope around them. The butterflies begin to well up in your stomach again, the alcohol fueling their ferocity. His hands. So calloused yet so gentle. You can smell the remnants of sake exuding from Zoro’s heavy breaths. You looked back up at him. Were you two always standing this close together? You the butterflies keep rising and rising. You don’t know what to do with yourself. You’re not sure if you should run, kiss him, punch him, but you have to do something before you implode. Until. He stops.
The rope undoes itself in his hands as he freezes. His hands are shaking, his breath is heavy, and his eyes avoid yours like the plague. You were just getting antsy but Zoro seemed in distress. “Hey?” you ask, lowering your hands and dropping the rope to the floor. “Zoro?” You take your hand under his chin and lift his eyes to yours. You might throw up at any second. His eyes are so softly intense.
He brushed his thumb against your cheek, sending chills down your spine. You both want the same thing. Both of you are just too scared to take the chance. “It’s ok. You’re okay,” you reassure him, placing your hand over his heart. His heart, which happens to be underneath his bare chest, him having taken off his wet shirt earlier. His breathing slows, and his eyes move down ever so smoothly from your eyes to your plump lips. You catch yourself doing the same to him, and you inching closer to him. “You’re fine.” Closer. “We’re gonna be…fine.” Your lips barely brush each other. The gentleness of the kiss is calming though, as you notice Zoro’s breath slowing.
You brush again. And again. And again. Lips touching a little more with each meet. Until they fully interlock. The two of you melt into each other as Zoro wanders your back into a wall for support. Your kisses are structured, made to get the most out of each meeting. You’re both ravenous for each other, but you know if you go at each other like mad dogs, you won’t get what you want. So you both take your time getting to know the feeling of the other person’s mouth. You slip a moan out as Zoro’s tongue seeps between your lips. His kisses get slightly more sloppy as he runs his hands down your body. He feels the underneath of your breasts, the curves of your waist and hips, and finds a nice resting place under your ass. Your hands roam his cheeks and jaw, making their way to tug slightly on his moss-colored hair.
“Needed this,” Zoro whispers in between kisses. “Needed you so badly. But I didn’t know how.” He separates his lips from yours and plants kisses and hickeys along your jaw and neck. “I was always just too nervous for some reason. You make me so nervous.” His hands find their way into your bikini bottom and fondle your asscheeks, getting a low moan out of you. The alcohol must’ve given him a confidence boost. “Good to see you found your footing now,” you whisper in his ear. He chuckles, the butterflies speeding up in your stomach.
The two of you stay here for a little bit. Hell, you could stay like this for hours. Just soaking each other in. Feeling his warmth brought a fire into your soul. You could tell Zoro was getting a little antsy though, one of his hands moving from your back to your front, beginning to slowly circle your clit. The other hand went to your bikini, untying the back and letting it fall to the floor as his mouth moved to your breast. Waves of pleasure crashed through your body as you let him do his work. “God, you sure this is your first time?” you moaned out. He removed his mouth from your nipple to talk. “Never said it was, sweetheart. You just assumed it.” “Well from the loner vibe you got going on mixed with being on this ship 24/7, you can’t blame me for thinking that.” “Well the loner vibe worked on you, so who’s to say it hasn’t worked on others?” he smirked. You laughed to yourself as he got down on his knees.
Zoro slipped off your bikini bottom, completing the set on the floor. He kissed your v-line with the same softness he treated your lips to. He sat back on his knees for a moment to catch his breath, looking up at you, as if to ask for permission. You held your hand out to his cheek and rubbed it with your thumb. His eyes closed as he placed his hand over yours, as if you would ever take it away from him. God now this was a sight you could get used to. He was so infatuated with you it made your heart ache. He was right here at your disposal, yet you wanted more of him. So you bent down and gave him a sloppy forehead kiss. Once you were back up, he decided to go in.
Like most things he does, he started slow and controlled. He kissed and sucked on your inner thighs. Once his hand finally left your clit, you knew he was ready. He kissed your cunt, using his tongue to lick up your wetness. You could pass out right now if you had less self-control. Whimpers and moans left your lips, your hips naturally starting to grind against his nose, relieving the ache in your clit. You let him know what felt good by the tugs and yanks you put in his hair. He was a natural. Your guess about his tongue earlier was right too. “You taste so good, just as I imagined,” Zoro breathed onto your lips. You could tell he was starting to lose his composure with the way he continued to bury his face into your pussy. Your cunt naturally tightened around his tongue as he tasted you. Your hips began to buck into his face as your grinding pace increased, the butterflies turning into a white heat you felt getting stronger and stronger. Your bud was becoming more swollen by the second. Your grip on his hair tightened to make up for your failing knees.
You wouldn’t be able to take much more. Zoro wouldn’t either, his hand making its way into his pants to relieve his own bulge. His pace got faster to match your grinds. The smack of your lips against his tongue, mixed with both of your moans, was pornographically loud. Suddenly, the situation of Robin or another crew member hearing became an apparent one to you. That worry quickly left your mind once one of Zoro’s hands made its way to fondle your nipple. If he asked you to follow him anywhere right now, you might just do it if it meant this every other night. You felt he knew your body better than you did. “So pretty. So good for me. You make this so easy,” Zoro groaned between licks. “Zoro god fuck me please!” Your final whimper sent you over the edge as you wailed and came all over his perfect face. He licked up your juices as he finished his own job as well. Your knees finally gave out as you fell on top of him, into his arms.
He brought you down gently, straddling you on his lap as you wrapped your arms around him. He traced his cum soaked hand across your back and kissed your nape. You were more exhausted than expected, almost passing out in the crook of his neck. Even now, he was so gentle with you. “You did so good, darling,” he praised, kissing your earlobe. “Want…more…want you…inside me,” you managed to get out. He just laughed and pushed you up to look at you. “If you took me right now, I don’t think you’d wake up tomorrow morning. Look at you, you can barely keep your eyes open, sweetheart,” he teased. You pouted. “Oh, you feel that proud of yourself?” your drunkenness fueling your frustration. “No no no, sweetheart,” he chuckled. Once your frown didn’t change, he stopped laughing and pressed a kiss deep into your forehead. “I’m sorry. What I meant was, if I fucked you with everything I have left right now, which is the only way I would want to do it, this floor would leave us with sore backs for weeks.” You stayed frowning. “I want to fuck you right, the way you deserve. And I can’t do it for you right now.” You pouted more at him. He smiled up at you and leaned in closer to your ear. “If you trust me, I promise I’ll make it worth your while. You’ll be walking funny for weeks.” God, you almost came again just now. You didn’t notice how much your jaw dropped until Zoro laughed at you. You couldn’t help but laugh back in tune with his infectious laughter.
He kissed you with a fever behind his lips, then scanned the room around the two of you. “What’s wrong?” you drowsily asked. The exhaustion from you coming, the sleepiness brought by the alcohol, and how late it was getting was starting to overpower you. Zoro didn’t respond. He just grabbed your swimsuit and helped you put it back on, tightened your legs around his hips, and hoisted you up as he stood. You decided to ask questions once you had a clearer idea of what was happening. He opened the door and walked with you down the hallway, passing the girl’s quarters and into the men’s room. He checked inside quickly before bringing you in and signaling you to bring your legs down. You confusedly followed him to his bed as he groaned, rubbed his back, and sat down on the edge of the bunk. “Wanna explain to me what you’re doing?” you asked, slightly more awake. “If you think I’m just gonna leave you to sleep alone, tied up, on that dirty floor after what we just did, then you must think I’m a really shitty guy,” Zoro quipped before getting under the covers and trying to pull you down. You put some resistance towards him though.
“B-but Zoro, I’m not supposed to be in here.”
“I know.”
“If someone catches me in here we’re both fucked.”
“They won’t catch you.”
“How do you know that?”
“I’ll wake up before Robin starts her shift.”
“Are you sure, I mean I just don’t kn-.”
“Hey.”
You stop your nervous rabbling and look at him as he sits back up. “Do you want to go back and sleep on the cold, dirty, hard floor?” You really didn’t. “No.” “Then stay here with me.” “But what if-.” “Do you trust me?”
You sure hope you did after all of that. His kind eyes reassured you in the darkness surrounding the two of you. You took a deep breath and nodded. “Do you trust me?” he asked again. “I trust you, Zoro,” you confirmed. He smiled kindly at you. “You’re fine. We’re gonna be fine.” He steadied you by placing his hands on your hips, running his hands along your waist, and pressing his lips into your tummy. You loved the way he looked at you. Like you were his whole world. It was comforting.
He took your hand and helped you into bed. You bundled yourself under the covers and wrapped yourself around his frame. He kissed your temples one more time before slipping into sleep, his light snores hypnotizing you into a slumber of your own.
The last thing you remember before dozing off was the feeling of his hands on your waist.
Everything you wanted was right here. In front of you. Straight out of a dream. Your only fear was that it would be gone once you woke up.

I can't speak for every pro-shipper out there, but to me proship is not "Imma ship kid x adult cuz I can!" But to me proship is "The author says this character who looks and acts exactly as these other 15y/o is actually 50 y/o, and I think is bullsh*t and Imma ignore it"
if you’re the same anon from earlier, this is the last thing i’ll say back to you. and if you want to talk further, don’t be afraid to message one on one instead of hiding behind there as an anon and i don’t mean to say this as a form of intimidation too.
what is it abt “stasis” “frozen” do you not understand ? where are you getting the 50 yrs old age mark ? tell me, was he alive during the 50 years he was in a pod ? did he actually live through it and experienced any of it ? what is it about his mannerisms that makes you scream that he’s 50 ? I really want to know if you have valid proof, im open to listen whatever you have and trade info as to why shadow is 15 or younger. i’m open minded and i’m willing to listen to whatever.
And i’m aware shadow’s age discourse also applies to other of his pairings and not just what you came barging in through my inbox. I’m not choosing to ignoring anything really. as soon as i became hyper aware of my fav pairing between shadow and amy along with sonic and shadow, i had to know first if shadow was actually 50 and turns out he wasn’t.
The writers/kid literally refers him in japan’s line of games (pls know thats where sonic originated from bc if u think it’s from america omg idk what to say to u tbh) as ‘boku’ and thts literally kids using it who’s 15 or younger. that should be telling enough tht bc he was set as ageless or immortal, he’s still a naive child and there’s an answer in where he’s at in SA2 and Sonic Heroes and currently too.
even the game manual from 06 says hes 15, that’s literally the only time in official media/games states his official standpoint in age.
aside from that, all shipping aside, and speaking from my pov as a shadow the hedgehog fan, i’m really tired of hearing that he’s 50 when he’s not. i spend so much time just looking at random info abt him bc honestly he’s so cool, you can’t deny that either. i would just recommend to keep on digging info instead of touching only the surface, which is google. google only finds keywords and shows you whats the most viewed online instead of accurate info.

What Happened Last Night Pt.2 - Jack Russell x Reader
Summary: You wake up feeling less content than you had falling asleep. Then Jack drops the bombshell of a lifetime on you. You don't take it well.
Warnings: fluff (savior it, this chapter is rough), learning you're a werewolf, mentions of an animal attack, a bit more info on reader, no ted :(, and hmm what am I forgetting? oh yeah. Angst. Like a lot. I’m so sorry for all of you that were just here for the fluff. I promise there will be more in the future.
Word Count: ~1.5k
A/N: I was trying to get this out by Halloween, then by Día de Muertos, but this chapter took about two hours longer than the last one because I needed it to be juuuust right. I hope I did it justice.
Cross-posted on AO3 as always
Part 1, Part 3
Part 2-
When you woke up, Jack had fallen asleep beside you. He sat crisscrossed, his head propped up on his hands, his elbows resting on his knees. He swayed a little, his unconscious body trying to maintain balance. It made you smile.
Ted was nowhere to be found, although you did find some clothes laid neatly beside you. Nothing fancy, simply some old, baggy t-shirt and some sweatpants, but it was definitely better than staying naked in the forest. You threw the shirt over your head and, with some difficulty, managed to shimmy the sweatpants on without agitating your broken ankle too much. You leaned back with a huff, which apparently was enough to wake Jack.
He startled slightly, his head slipping from his hands. As soon as he got his bearings, his focus snapped to you. He grinned widely.
“You’re awake!” You nodded, a little taken aback by his enthusiasm. “How’re you doing?”
“I’m alright,” you said slowly, still groggy and a little weirded out by how much attention was focused on you. When you were actively bleeding, that was one thing, but this man was looking at you like he had to commit every detail he saw to memory, as if you were going to suddenly disappear before him.
His smile fell slightly and he focused his gaze on the ground, rubbing the back of his neck. “I’m sorry I fell asleep. I wanted to watch over you and make sure you were alright but… I didn’t get much sleep last night.” Ok, so when you weren’t delirious with pain, this guy was super weird.
“That’s okay. I didn’t expect you to stay by my side at all times,” you shrugged.
Jack murmured his assent.
“Where’s Ted?” you asked, more to make conversation than anything else.
“He’s probably just going for a walk. Or gathering firewood. Or doing something stupid that’ll mean I have to rescue him again.” Jack’s tone was light as he spoke of his friend.
“You,” you said, eyeing Jack up and down, “rescue Ted?”
Jack gave a single nod with a smirk.
“What’s brave enough to go after Ted?” you said, puffing out a snort of incredulity.
“Monster hunters,” Jack said frankly.
“Monster… hunters? As in multiple. Multiple monsters and multiple hunters?”
Jack nodded again. “Is that so crazy to believe? I mean how many times have aliens and superhumans and sentient robots destroyed New York City? Nowadays, fantasy turns into reality all the time.”
He had a point. But everyone knew about the aliens. You’d never heard or seen a credible source of monsters running around. Until Ted, that is. You were questioning this possible new development when Jack cleared his throat.
He muttered “no hay razón de andarse por las ramas,” to himself, then turned to face you more squarely, his posture straighter than it had been in the meager time you had spent together.
“Speaking of monsters and hunters, what do you remember about last night?”
You really had no idea what had happened. You went to bed in your little one-story house, and woke up in the woods with half an ear and your ankle in pieces. You told Jack as much.
“Well, based on what Ted told me, you… transformed last night,” Jack said, never once breaking eye contact.
“What the fuck does that mean. Are you saying I, like, hulked out and what? Tore myself apart?” Jack’s serious expression broke into a little smile.
“‘Hulked out’ isn’t the terminology I would use, but more or less, yes. Y/n, I think- no I know- that last night, the moon came up and you-”
“I’m sorry are you trying to insinuate that I turned into a fucking werewolf? Seriously, Jack? Do you really think I’m going to believe that I went to bed as me, saw the moon, and turned into some… some beast? Do I look like fucking Lon Chaney to you?” Admittedly, you had begun to yell a little bit, but Jack seemed to have been expecting this. With a stupid smirk on his face he replied quietly, “Well, I mean you did get caught in a bear trap so The Wolf Man is probably the most apt analogy…”
You glared at him and he chuckled, albeit a bit nervously. You glared harder.
“But yes, y/n, I was trying to tell you that Ted didn’t bring you into our camp this morning. Ted brought a werewolf. When the sun came up, you turned back into you.”
He had to be messing with you. This was all some fucked up joke. He probably was some deranged lunatic who kidnapped you and hurt you to fit whatever fantasy you were fulfilling.
“But, don’t freak out, okay? It’s not so bad. I manage pretty well most months,” Jack was obviously trying to comfort you, but the more he talked the worse you felt.
“Oh, so you’re a werewolf now too?” you said tacking a humorless laugh on the end of your statement.
“Well, I’m me. But, yes, a part of me is a wolf,” Jack said, his tone a little less sure as he spoke of the difference between himself and the wolf.
“You're insane.”
“Y/n, I know you can feel it. You feel the ache in your bones from twisting into something else last night. Everything is brighter and louder. You can hear my heartbeat if you listen for it. No normal human can do that,” he was pleading with you to understand now.
And you knew he was right. From the moment you woke up this morning, you’ve been disoriented. Not just because of the unfamiliar location, but the intensity of it all. The way the smell of your own blood had threatened to drown you, the noise of the fire, hell, even the coffee tasted richer. Everything is so much more than it used to be. And it was freaking you out.
Not to mention the fact that you had gotten attacked by… that thing in the woods a month ago. You had been biking home from a later shift at the pub you worked at. It wasn’t too far of a trip from the little secluded cottage you called your own. But it was dark and it was raining, so you didn’t even notice the creature growling by the trees until it pounced on you, knocking you off your bike. It hadn’t had time to do much damage before grizzled old Mr. Kessler had intervened. His truck’s horn and lights had scared it off, and he gave you a ride back to your house. You had been fine to go to work the next day, simply wrapping up the bite mark on your arm.
Honestly, you hadn’t thought much of it. You lived in a farming town, and wildlife was not unfamiliar to you. You had just started carrying bear mace and continued with life as usual. The wound didn’t even get infected. It just went away on its own after a week or two.
“I’m so sorry, y/n. I know this is confusing and it’s going to make everything more complicated. But I can help you. Ted and I can stick around for a while, we can figure out what this means for you together,” Jack reached to put a comforting hand on your arm. The arm that had been bitten. The arm that he had probably bitten.
You yanked your arm away from him. You didn’t care how hurt he looked. You were angry. And scared. And you let that cloud your judgment. You let that anger and fear lead you to conclusions you had no basis for, let it push you to lash out like the cornered animal you now were.
“Don’t fucking touch me. I don’t want someone like you even near me. You may have turned me into this, but I won’t be like you. I won’t be some sick freak that kidnaps girls to patch them up after you maul them. I won’t be like you,” you snarled, ignoring the way Jack’s eyes widened, the desperate devastation dawning on his face as you spoke.
“Y/n, no. I didn’t-” you ignored his pleas, instead resolving yourself to getting the fuck away from him. You awkwardly clambered to your feet, the rage you felt numbing you to the pain of your ankle.
“No, no, no, no, no. Y/n, you shouldn’t be walking on that, you’re going to hurt yourself. Just, let me help you-”
“No! Jack, you are not some type of good samaritan savior. You don’t get to help me, or anyone. You’re just some… beast. A fucking animal. A monster,” you spat. You began to walk away, and you knew Jack was about to call out to you. Maybe you heard his mouth open with your newly heightened hearing. Maybe you just needed to get one last dig in. So as you walked away from Jack Russell, you snarled your last words to the man.
“And you deserve to be hunted like one.”
.
.
.
I'm sorry. But I needed some drama. And I mean are you seriously going to tell me you wouldn't be a little bit weirded out by Jack? He's very intense and then he just gives you some life altering news and insists on being apart of this transition. We, as viewers and readers who know Jack, know he means well, but our poor reader character does not have that same context.
Also I've set up a dangerous prescient of having at least one werewolf movie reference in these parts and idk if I can keep that up. Brownie points to you if you can sus out my obscure werewolf homages.
Feedback, criticism, comments, reblogs, and likes are all always appreciated. Please tell me what you think! I really gave this one my all and I hope you guys enjoy it. <3

Can you do #8 from the Angst prompt list?☺️
This one took me a while to come up with (sorry!) but ultimately, a little Bryan Ferry and "Slave to Love" gave me the inspo I needed (;
It's some kind of AU...idk
Angst Prompts as part of Cycat's Birthday Bash Fic-aganza! 8: “Listen to me, please!”
Pairing: Sonny x Reader Ratings/Warnings: mentions of: pr*stitution, mental abuse (father -> daughter), dr*g dealing.
We
A quiet rap sounds on your studio door. Setting down your sketch pencil, you move to open it. A giddiness bubbles through you, already knowing who is on the other side.
"Hey, Sonny," you beam, slipping him through the door before quickly closing it. You then rise up to lock your arms around his neck, giving him a peck on the lips. The two of you have snuck away like this countless times, but today he barely kisses you back and a tension rests across his brow that you've never seen before.
"Please keep it down," he whispers, delicately untangling your arms from around him. "Is your pa home?"
Now you're starting to worry. "No..." your voice trails off.
"Good," he remarks, eyes scanning the room cautiously.
"Son, what's wrong?" You hug your arms to your middle, unease settling in.
Finally, he turns his full attention on you. Sonny's breathing is rapid. He swallows thickly. "I – I could get inta lots of trouble for tellin' you 'bout this, but I can't let ya go down too."
Frantically your eyes search his face for answers. "Sonny, you're scaring me."
He looks to the ground then back up to you. "I'm sorry," he begins, "but they're gonna do a bust on your pa. We finally have enough evidence to put him away."
You freeze. We? Suddenly you're lightheaded, blinking a few times trying to digest what has just been said. Then it hits you. "We. You're a…a –" You stumble a few steps backwards.
"A cop," Sonny confirms apologetically. "I've been UC for the past year, tryin’ to gather intel on your father."
It all makes sense now. You hated the business your father ran, but were trapped in the world he had created. He had never laid a hand on you nor even discussed what exactly his business was...yet you just knew. You saw the women coming and going and the drug dealers making deliveries; every effort to prevent those girls from escaping the lifestyle and ultimately lining your father's pockets.
Then in walked Sonny. This handsome Italian, hired as security for your father's "business".
He pretended to be all hardened and tough, but you had seen right through him. There was a golden heart underneath that bulletproof vest and slowly but surely you had unlocked it. Except now, you suppose, it was too good to be true. A facade. A ploy to get close to you and get the info he needed.
Tears burn your eyes and a mixture of anger, confusion and betrayal rises up from within you. "How could you?!" you yell. "How could you use me like that? What kind of monster do you have to be to lie to someone in that way?!" Sonny winces but you can't stop yourself. "You tell me I'm beautiful, whisper in my ear and kiss me like I mean something to you, only for it to be a clever scheme to - to extract information! How could you, Sonny?! If that's even your real name!" You whip around, unable to tolerate the sight of him.
"Listen to me, please!" He gently places a hand on your arm to stop you from storming away. "Please." His voice goes soft, pleading, as he speaks your name.
Reluctantly, you turn back to face him. Tears blur your vision. "Everything I feel for you is real. I swear." Two big blue eyes bore into yours, trying to convey his sincerity. "I never set out to hurt you. You weren't our target...but I didn't expect to fall in love, either."
There it is. Your brain is screaming that none of it was real, except your heart aches in your chest because you love him too.
You lower your voice, trying to wrap your head around everything. "All the things I've shared about myself...did - did you tell anyone?"
Sonny shakes his head. "Never. I only reported incriminatin’ facts. Stuff that removed you from it as much as possible. You opened up to me, ‘n I know I lied about who I was, but I would never betray you like that." His face is painted with distress and it's clear it pains him to see you so torn up.
"I'm not my father," you say meekly.
"I know, doll. You're nothing like him. You're one of the most kind and generous people I've ever met."
His words cause you to smile in spite of yourself, but the shadow of your father plagues your self-worth. "Still, I guess you're wondering why I'm here then. Why I stay with a father who runs a prostitution ring? I must be some spoiled brat who loves living the rich lifestyle that daddy provides for her."
You watch as Sonny's brow furrows again and he shakes his head 'no'.
"I can't leave Sonny. I'm almost thirty and I can't leave. God knows I've tried. I told him I wanted out when I turned 21, but he grew...dark. I've never seen him so angry. He didn't get physical, but he did make it clear that bad things happen to people who cross him. That if I knew what's good for me, I'd stay." Fresh tears spring to your eyes. "What am I going to do, Sonny? When they seize everything he owns...I - I have nothing."
Sonny tenderly places his hands on your shoulders, forcing you to look at him. "You have me." You swallow a sob. "I will do everything in my power to help you. I promise. It was the real me who said 'I love you'. You will make it through this. We will make it. Together."
He strokes a piece of hair away from your wet cheek, touch lingering to caress your soft skin. You close the gap between the two of you, burying your face in his chest. "I love you, too," you murmur and Sonny engulfs you in the safety of his warm embrace.

Raphael squinted his eyes.
For the past twenty-two minutes he’d been wondering what was wrong with this picture. His breakfast was getting cold and he’d even neglected to smack Mikey’s hand away when he stole a piece of bacon off his place.
Raphael took pride in his observation skills, often he noticed plenty of things in his environment but while Donatello ran commentary on it he usually kept the information to himself. He shared a room with his youngest brother so he knew any odd shift when it came to Mikey. He is very close with Donnie, spending a few sleepless nights by his side while the genius tinkered away at projects, even lending a hand here and there.
Leonardo for all of his hard headed ways and their personality clashes, he felt he knew him well enough too. The leader though, was much more guarded in his emotions which made for some difficult moments to completely gage his older brother.
You on the other hand were an open book, plenty of times he’d spent time with you, getting to know plenty of your ticks and thoughts. Raph considered you a close friend, a confidant he could turn to.
But as you all sat together for a late breakfast. Mikey inhaling his while Donnie’s overworked eyes looked into his coffee cup as if lifes answers laid there, Leo and you were just sitting there, suspiciously.
You were still in your sleep wear, Leo’s groggy movements mechanical as he ate on autopilot. You yawned reaching for a coffee refill and without command or hesitation Leo had pushed the creamer and sugar towards you, going so far to place the exact amount of both in your mug. You had given him a sweet smile, reaching a hand to thumb a crumb away from the corner of his mouth.
Raphael raised a brow ridge, well naturally that could translate to common kindness. You all knew each other, often April had in some form or shape probably done something similar. He poked a few pieces of eggs into his mouth, now he was intrigued.
He picked up a few more instances where his curiosities got the better of him.
For instance one afternoon while you were over he had decided to gather info. Raphael had kitchen duty and you had stuck around to help him out. “What’s up with you?” A common not so invasive question, you shrugged. “Same old, same old” You gathered plates to set the table. Raphael kept his gaze at the task at hand, cutting tomatoes for the sauce he was preparing. “Yeah but have you done anything? Gone out with friends? Maybe found your future husband?” He chuckled even more so when you nudged him with an elbow. “A forget you have a sense humor under all that angst” Raph smiled, the two of you often bickered Iike this.
Truth be told you had never mentioned a boyfriend or a girlfriend, the subject was never really breached. With the amount of time you spent in the sewers with them it never came up if you had some partner or if you even were dating. Raphael added the tomatoes into a pot, you joined his side ready to help with more cutting of condiments.
Then Leo arrived and he felt the air shift, he peaked a glance at you, a small smile playing on your lips. Leo in turn greeting the two of you before he made his way towards the fridge to retrieve something to drink. “Want something?” He asked from the fridge and honest to God Raph was very sure he wasn’t asking him. You nodded extending a hand for the soda he gave you, he leaned against the fridge and chatted you up as nonchalant as ever.
Nothing in the small chat raised any flags, Raph’s sauce almost burning from how intently he was concentrating of quite literally eavesdropping on you two. You laughed at something he mentioned, that was bizarre because Leo was seriously not even funny but he could be biased on that end.
“Your hair looks pretty that way” Leo spoke, a tad bit shyly. Raph stirred the sauce, brow ridges shooting up, ‘real smooth big bro’ he couldn’t help but think. Then again he had probably at some point told April the same thing, well they all had commented on April being pretty in all manners of ways.
But this felt just the taddest bit different?
He excused himself having to get back to whatever he was doing. Raph squatted to get something from the bottom cupboards, he didn’t miss the blush on your cheeks.
“Yer hair does look nice like that” He tested, you beamed brightly at him. “Thank you, you’re very sweet when you put your heart into it” She teased smacking a hand towel at him.
Inconclusive results.
For now.
This stupid notion continued to bother Raphael, curiosity would kill the turtle in this case. He wanted to know if truly something was amiss there and you both being friends he wondered why you just hadn’t flat out told him what was up. Nevertheless he couldn’t drop the bomb on you, you could be motorfide or maybe deny it to high hell. Asking Leonardo was out of the question, he sure as hell wouldn’t say a thing.
So Raphael kept his gaze glued as you parted ways for the night. You gave a hug and kiss to everybody, quite normal for your loving nature. He got his hug and kiss, so did Donnie, April and Mikey. Once you landed on Leo you did the same.
He could’ve sworn you lingered a little more, going so far as to whisper something to him because Leo gave a little huff of a laughter and smiled. He definitely slid his hand away from your lower back quite slowly.
Maybe, just maybe...
One patrol night he got stuck with Leo while Mikey and Donnie were doing rounds on the truck. They were scouting out a bank that was rumored to be hit soon by a group of robbers. Raph didn’t mention you, in fact he patiently waited for these robbers to possibly show up.
Something vibrated and his gaze landed on Leo who was reaching a hand into his pocket to pull out his phone. His concentrated and serious featured softening with whatever he read on the screen. He typed back something quick, shaking his head from whatever image or words or whatever had been provoked out of him. “Everything good?” Raphael asked, Leo nodded as if back to ‘normal’ and that absolutely was suspicious in his book.
That night didn’t yield any resolution and honestly it’s around this time that Raph regrets this little task that had occupied his time. He had originally decided to leave it as inconclusive, at some point You two dummies had to say or do something. He had been rummaging his room for his hand wraps, more than ready to get his nightly workout in order. When he had come up empty handed he exited towards Leo’s room, he always had them which annoyed the red banded brute.
His first mistake was not knocking or making his incoming presence known. A rookie mistake considering he lived with three young adult brothers.
His second mistake was just barging in like he owned the place. An annoyed “Jesus Leo quick taking my shit” spewing out of him.
If mistakes One and Two had been adverted he wouldn’t be standing here, wide eyed and frozen.
Because he really didn’t need to see his brother stark ass naked on top of his best friend who he basically considered a little sister, equally naked to boot. There was a solid fifteen seconds where Raphael didn’t know if he running out was the best option, mumbling a ‘shit my bad’ was better or if covering his eyes and screaming at his brother that he better be a gentlemen to you cause you’re a great gal.
Leonardo’s hands cupped your exposed breast for modesty sake, the need for the ground to dramatically open up and swallow him whole heavy in his mind. You had squeaked when Raph barged in, hands super glued to Leo’s rear and god why couldn’t you scream and let go and scream some more.
Raphael finally turned around, an embarrassed heat breaking over his body as he groaned in disgust. “Shit fuck, sorry sorry! I didn’t see shit!” Oh but he did and oh did he crave bleach. “Raph get out! This is why you knock!” Leo chucked a pillow at his brothers shell. You had finally let go of Leo’s rear, covering your face in mortification. “Hang a sock or something outside then!! I can’t read minds!” Raph bellowed.
Mistake number 3 happened because Raphael was a drama Queen through and through and the shouting only helped to alert his brothers towards the room.
“Can you two not fight for five whole minu-OH GOD SORRY!” Donatalleo had exited as quickly as he had approached the room. Mikey thankfully barely saw anything since Raph and Donnie yanked him out which Leo was thankful, he knew Mikey would never let this situation go.
A very quiet hour passed by.
Nobody wanting to say anything. Mikey had left for the tunnels to skateboard for a while. Donnie had thrown himself into truck repairs not even wanting to discuss what his eyes had briefly seen.
And Raphael had sat on the couch, every few minutes making a face whenever his brain decided to bring back the nights events. He heard movement from Leo’s room, the small pitter patter that belonged to your feet. Raph kept his gaze down, whatever playing on the tv long forgotten, he saw your feet when they tentatively approached the couch.
“Um Raph” Your tone was hushed.
“Didn’t see anything, matter of fact nothing happened” Raph grabbed the remote, you sat down and sighed. “Listen you weren’t the one with your tits out here” You crossed your arms grumbling, Raph almost chortled but then he remembered Leo and simply made a face.
“Why didn’t you tell me you and him were a thing? We’re friends, I mean you can do better but you know” He smiled when he felt your elbow smack his arm. “He’s really nice don’t be so mean” You sat back on the corner, Raph looked at you, you were wearing an oversized shirt clearly spending the night.
“Sorry for ah, not knocking” Raph spoke softly.
“Sorry for no telling you I had it bad for your brother” You smirked, enjoying Raph’s disgruntled expression.
You scooted close and hugged his massive arm, Raph smiled. “He better be good to ya... and well, don’t break his heart, he’s an ass but he’s my big brother” You nodded against his arm.
You had stayed for a little before returning back to Leo’s room, the leader was reading on his bed but quickly looked up when you came in. “Everything alright?” He asked tentatively. You nodded climbing into bed and in between his legs to lay on him. “We could’ve so gone a better way telling everybody, at least it’s out and we can just be ourselves” You rested against him, Leo’s chin a top your head.
He wrapped his arms tightly around you and smiled. “I’m never living this down but I’m happy we can just be ourselves” He poked your sides earning an earnest squeal from you.
Outside Raphael could hear the quiet giggling and laughter. He was happy for the two of you, it made sense.
Mikey walked in, board in hand and sweaty from skating for hours.
“So Leo loses his V card first, huh brah?”
Raphael groaned.

INURE
Peeta mellark x male reader
We all know who Katniss Everdeen is, but what if Primrose hadn't been chosen but another boy from another unfortunate family? YOUR family.
Info: This is basically a reader insert and I've changed a few rules, not ground breaking though. The reader is a bit bland for now but I plan for his actions to be different. Because he has different moral grounds from Katniss and such. Would appreciate feedback! FEEL FREE TO POINT OUT TYPOS. GRAMMARLY SOMETIMES DOESN'T DO MY DYSLEXIC ASS JUSTICE
Part one: You're here right now. :)
Part two: Over there, pepperoni. :)

—--—---—---—----—----—----—---
I sighed, smiling as I watched my brother gather flowers. It was the early morning, I had to go out hunting soon, but then again, it wouldn't hurt to keep him company for a while.
"Nal," I called, it was a nickname short for his name, Kunal. An odd name, to say the least. Mother told me it meant Lotus, her favourite flower.
His strawberry blonde hair swayed towards me, a smile forming on his face. He held a couple of lily's in his hands, his blue eyes glittering. "Y/n!" he said back, waving towards me.
I slowly walked towards him, squatting down next to him. He gave me a lily from his makeshift bouquet, humming. "Look at what I got!" he exclaimed.
I chuckled, roughly putting my hand on his head, messing with his hair. He groaned and in retaliation, he pulled on one of my small braids. It was something my father used to do to my hair when we went off to the woods. I used to hate it, but now I wear it every day, quite funny, really.
"Ow—hey, I just fixed that you little—" I let out, pulling my hand off his head as he let out an unprovoked yell. "AHHH MOM, Y/N'S SWEARING AGAIN!"
I sighed, managing to pry him off me, our heads turning towards our mother, she had the same hair and features as my brother, maybe that's why she preferred him over me.
"Kunal, get inside, time for breakfast!" she called, waving him over. Nal said a small "bye-bye", waving at me before running to our mother who welcomed him with open arms.
She looked at me, I could feel her icy glare. But beyond all of that, her eyes showed a little bit of concern, as if she's afraid. It made sense, district 12 wasn't the kindest of places, illegal hunting is dangerous and she was my mother, after all.
I watched as my brother gave him the lilies, a smile forming on her lips, her eyes wrinkling. My hands tensed a little, I passed it off to the chilly breeze, not wanting to think about this in the early morning. "Bye," I muttered, turning away as I went towards the woods.
My hands gripped the rough bark, scaling up a tree with little to no effort. I arrived at a certain spot, reaching into a hole where my hunting equipment was hidden.
I pulled out a small set of thin, throwing daggers. I looked at it, gripping the leather strapping on the handle. This was the reason, the reason everything went downhill that day.
Yet I still keep it, to honour my father. This set was one of the only things he left when he was executed in the most painful way possible. I let out a hitched breath at the thought of it, holstering it on my belt.
I pulled out a hunting bow, something my friend gave me. I wasn't the best at it, I was better at throwing more than anything. It was worth learning though, it was best used when hunting smaller game like rabbits and squirrels.
To my right, was a nest of mocking birds. I whistled a basic 3 tunes to them, which they listened to and replicated. My lips formed into a small smile, waving at the birds before I leapt to another tree.
My father taught me how to traverse the forest through trees. I remember falling every time I leapt from tree to tree, my father laughing as he caught my hand. Sometimes I'd just fall to the ground, resisting the urge to cry as I insisted to try again.
He and I have a lot in common, I took more after my father more than I did my mother. Both physically and mentally. While my mother was more grounded, my father would never shut up about freedom and life without the capitol.
It wasn't something ideal for life like this. Any word or action against the capitol and you can get executed right on the spot, something I had to learn the hard way.
I've always found the ground limiting, the coal dust in the air quite suffocating. Unlike in these heights, where the air was fresh, cool. You saw so much more, moved so much more. It was a taste of freedom, something I've always wanted.
I arrived at a location hidden away from unwanted eyes. Landing on a large rock ledge that was reachable from above if you leapt or swung far enough. Of course, there were times where I didn't stick the landing and ended up in the thicket of berry bushes, ending up with several, stinging, unwanted "friends".
"I'm early for once," I huffed, grinning as I laid down the rock. I put my leg on top of the other, using my hands to support my head. A small, yellow butterfly landed on my nose, making me smile.
"Hey, owl eyes," A voice boomed, making the butterfly fly away. My brows furrowed as I looked in the direction of the voice. "Finally stopped daydreaming of burning the Capitol down?" he teased, grinning.
I shot him a look, "Mhmm," I hummed, "Daydreaming of throwing them off a cliff instead," I said, making him snort.
"And how do you plan to do that?" He asked, smirking. I threw a small rock at his forehead, scoffing. "Shut it, Gale" I retorted.
He rolled his eyes, a mischievous look on his face "I was going to give you some of this bread I shot, but since you're like that, I guess I'll just have to share this with Catnip," he said, holding up a loaf of bread, an arrow pierced through it.
I laughed looking up at the sky, "Oh come on, don't be like that, Gale," I spread my limbs across the surface of the cool rock. "Don't pick favourites, but— between me and Kat, who's the lucky favourite?"
Gale hummed as if thinking deeply. "Definitely Catnip," he answered making my head turn sharply towards him. I shot him a glare, a look of betrayal. He let out a bark of laughter, just in time for Katniss to arrive.
He held up the bread once more, "Hey catnip, look at what I shot," he said. "He said that two times already," I groaned, raising a finger.
Katniss laughed, the bread handed to her. "Mhh, still warm," she commented, sniffing the crust of the bread after she had pulled out the arrow.
If I hadn't known any better, I would say that they were siblings. Straight black hair, olive skin and same grey eyes. Most of the families who work in the mines resemble each other this way. That's why my family has always stuck out like a sore thumb, like Katniss' mother and sister.
My mother and brother with strawberry blonde hair, my brother, in particular, having my father's blue eyes. Father and I had bright copper-red hair, I shared my mother's green eyes.
From what I've heard my father used to be a merchant, selling various herbs, fruits, plants and meat until he's settled down here for my mother, began working in the mines, along with illegal hunting.
The peacekeepers and the mayor let it slide though, They crave fresh meat just like anyone else in the district. Our district was looked down upon, the capitol didn't really pay attention to it. This is why we can get away with these.
My train of thought was interrupted by a berry landing on my face, making me scrunch my face as Katniss finished a joke with a Capitol accent. The two always told me I was easily distracted, a disadvantage when it came to hunting.
Though I'd say it's an advantage when I'm not busy daydreaming I tend to spot small animals, like that one bird flying west of me, or that small worm crawling next to me.
Gale tapped my hand, which was dangling from the rock. He handed me a piece of bread, some cheese spread on it. I sat up, one of my knees bent, resting my elbows on it as I thanked him.
"We could do it, you know?" He said quietly, effectively drawing my attention, as well as Katniss'. "What?" she asked. I only remained silent, biting into the bread as my other foot dangled from the rock, swinging around.
"Runaway from the district, live in the woods, you and I, maybe Y/n too if he wants to, we could make it," He said, I nodded, swallowing a healthy portion of the bread. "You know I want to," I interjected.
Gale sighed, "If only we didn't have so many kids," Of course, they weren't our actual children, though they might as well be. He has two little brothers and a sister, Katniss has a sister and I have Kunal. There's also our parents, another mouth to feed.
My mom doesn't really have a source of income, so I'm left working the majority of the month, only taking a break at least for a day. Though the three of us split our games, It's never really enough. We still have times where we would curl up on our cots on an empty stomach. It happened far more often than any of us would like.
With my father gone, I was left to provide for my own family. These forests are practically my home, the only thing missing was Kunal and my mom's icy stares.
"I don't want any children," Katniss responded plainly. "I might if I didn't live here," said Gale.
"But you do," She responded irritably, I glanced between them, chewing on my bread slowly. "Forget it," Gale snapped, sighing,
It would be a lie if I haven't thought of this. They call me a daydreamer because of this, I'd much rather dream of being one with the mocking jays, flying freely without worrying about the Capitol's prying eyes than face the fact that that would never happen.
A trait passed down to me by my father, as I said. We hate the fact that we are treated like caged birds, though used to it, we'll never be comfortable. Unlike my mother.
Sometimes I wonder what drew them to each other.
"What do you want to do?" Katniss asked, making me perk up. "How about we fish at the lake?" I suggested. They both nodded as a grim thought settled in my head.
Kunal turned 12 this year, his name is on the ballot for today, Reaping day. Though only once, there's a slim chance that he might get chosen. He could barely stand against an angry, small mutt, running to my legs whenever he gets scared.
If he gets chosen, I wouldn't know what to do. Surely my mother would resent me even more, why was I her only child left then? No, it wouldn't get to that, surely not.
I clenched my fists as we travelled to the lake, feeling the anger bubble inside me. I remembered one of the many reasons I despised these ridiculous, power-hungry people.
"I'll destroy them one day, don't worry, pa" I whispered, though I'm sure Gale and Katniss heard me. They just knew.

Deceiving Love
This was a request idea send so all credits for the idea goes to @me-goro Thank you for the request and I promise I’ll try my best :)
Request: Enemy to Lovers where Lou meets y/n for the first time while Lou’s trying to be sneaky because she wants to get information o but Y/N is unknowingly in the way of her getting it.
This is probably not going to be that many chapters maybe a few chapters, more or less fast pace. I tried to get it in a one shot but it would’ve been too long.
I’m so sorry is so long I couldn’t find a stopping point and wanted to get as much info out there as well as introduction for the first chapter. I promise I’ll try not to make them too long in the future lol. I’m bad at finding good ending spots as well as writing characters hating on each other LOL. Fair warning I went for the crashing into each other cliché to create a bad start between them LOL
I haven’t edited it completely so there might be grammatic error and for that I apologize.
Also this is my first Ocean’s 8 Lou Miller story so I’m sorry if this turns out bad 😅
Warnings: None yet except Cursing here and there. bad first impressions if you count that (is that under angst????)

Chapter One
~Lou~
Lou parked in front of the warehouse they had rented out for the job. They made sure to rent it out under a false name to avoid backtracking in case somewhere where to go wrong. They all took a flight to France for a job Debbie insisted they should do. She claimed it a really good job and the pay was good. Personally Lou didn’t needed the extra cash and rejected the job a few times over the course of a week before finally caving in due to Debbie’s persistence. Despite her agreeing she wasn’t happy and had been slightly grouchy she wanted to focus on running her club, upgrading it here and there to make it better and maybe open another club so she was very busy.
If she did this job she had to put all the plans on hold for a while which she was upset about. She had to hire a temporary manager to run her club while she was gone, hell even Tammy tried to tell Debbie to leave Lou be but according to Debbie they’ll get caught if Lou wasn’t there. Lou had been in a bad mood that day and saying a few things that would have hurt Debbie’s feelings if Debbie had been within hearing range only Tammy heard her and the two had a lengthy conversation which made Lou wish she had a strong drink which wasn’t wise thankfully Tammy made her feel better already sensing Lou’s sudden stress. Safe to say after talking to Tammy she agreed on the job better her helping Debbie than having all seven of her friends get caught and arrested. Debbie was more than happy at Lou agreeing to do this job something Lou noticed and had to admit made her happy.
They all walked in the warehouse and looked around except for Lou who walked confidently to a chair and sat down her long legs spread out in front of her. She had already came here a week ago to get the place set up for the team she even set up a spot for nine balls with the equipment the woman needed for the heist so she didn’t needed to explore or look around. Debbie grinned at Lou proud that Lou had set the place up already Lou looked up from her phone giving Debbie a smug smirk before she finished texting her temporary club manager. She put her phone away and looked up knowing the team had gathered and Debbie took the floor.
“So, what are we stealing? You guys haven’t told us.” Amita wondered
Lou lounged back shrugging, “Don’t look at me not even I know.”
“Yo, are they diamonds?” Nine Balls wondered
“Woah, wait you haven’t told Lou?” Constance wondered shocked
“I didn’t wanted her to try and back out if I told her.” Debbie informed them earning a snort from the blonde in question who shoved a piece of gum in her mouth
“Oh now we really wanna know, spill girl what is it?” Nine stated closing the lid of her laptop
Smiling satisfied that she got everyone's attention she turned on the screen projector stating, “Hear me out first.”
The screened turned on and an drawing of three jewels popped up and beside it another image of two crowns popped up. Lou studied the items quickly wondering what was so special about them besides the lack of photograph.
The necklace collar is large and is made out of pure gold hallmarked with roses and harps made out of diamonds put to gatherer alternately. They where tied together with knots made out of pure gold and topaz diamonds. The roses where made out of diamonds and rubies. In the center of the collar was an imperial Jeweled Crown crest surmounting a harp of gold and diamonds. There was a small writing that says they're suppose to be two of them one had the imperial badge crown and the other did not other than that both necklace collars where the exact same.
The second jewel was a Grand Master diamond badge. The badge looked like it was similar to the one hanging off one of the necklaces. the badge is made out of silver containing trefoil in emerald on a ruby cross surrounded by sky blue enamel with rose diamonds writing. The crowned harp was made out of Diamonds and Brazilian stones.
The third Jewel was a simple large star made of gold diamonds and brilliants. it consisting of eight points with four lesser issuing Centre enclosing a cross of ruby and a trefoil of emeralds surrounding a sky blue enamel circle with writing in rose diamonds. The crowns was made out of pure gold, diamonds among with other jewels spread out creating a rather elegant and luxurious pattern.
Lou looked at them than at Debbie and sighed shaking her head looking incredulous. The jewels in the first image where known as the crowned jewels and the crowns where royal crowns from who knows how long ago both of which were stolen at different times ages ago. Lou was very confused as to what Debbie was planning unless Debbie decided to change her profession to treasure hunter.
“Debbie what are those jewels?” Tammy wondered confused
“Yo, what’s with the lack of photo are we downgrading or something?” Nine pointed out
“No we are not downgrading these-,” Debbie began before she was interrupted by Lou
“Those are the Crown jewels that went missing in 1906. The crowns on he right where missing in 1799 both where never seen again.” Lou explained
Debbie nodded slightly surprised Lou knows about them, “Yes, you know what they are?”
“Duh! So Indiana Jones how the fuck are we looking for said jewels are we pulling a Lara Croft or something.” Lou stated sarcastically
“If you would have let me finish Lou instead of interrupting I would have said that there was rumors that the said jewels are no longer missing they supposedly are here in this city in their most popular museum. Unfortunately we need information in order to get it that one one has but probably one person without said information there’s no way we can find them.” Debbie explained
Rose became confused and spoke up shyly, “What are they worth, don’t we usually start off by saying how much the seven of us earn?”
Debbie grinned mischievously and looked at the group proudly, “Today, four-hundred million dollars in today’s money minimum we might easily be able to up the prices due to the simple fact that the they where all stolen long ago and thought to no longer exist.”
“You’re not telling us something.” Lou pointed out casually
Debbie pressed the button on the remote and three pictures popped up, two of them where of two men one older than the other and the third of a woman Lou had to admit was the most beautiful woman she had ever laid eye’s on. She honestly could care less about the pictures of the men she was focused on the woman. Lou noticed you smiled proudly, you eyes shinning with happiness. You where wearing an outfit that was business casual, your hair styled to suit your professional style you where going for. Lou’s eyes flickered to Debbie to find her staring at her smirking smug and Lou cursed softly at being caught she knew that look anywhere. Debbie smug looked at the group and stated casually.
“These three are the ones in charge the younger man is the owner and director his name is Richard Davis, the older man’s name is Liam Moore he is the Curator, and the woman’s name is Y/F/N Y/LN she is the registrar. One or two of them have all the information we need and we need to get it out of them to find it. It’ll be too risky getting it out of Richard Davis and even Liam Moore. Our biggest chances is Y/F/N, she is in charge of what goes in and out of that place. Her job is to literally keep track of all the object, records, authenticity and borrowings so if these jewels are heading to their museum they’ll be passing through her and it'll be her job along with Liam to put them away either on display and hide them.” Debbie explained
“Don’t forget that if she has good relation with the director he’ll be giving her special tasks involving Jewels.” Tammy added earning a nod from Debbie
“So, how do we get this information out of her?” Amita wondered
Debbie grinned eying Lou again earning a sharp glare from Lou which in turn caused Debbie to laugh and look at the confused group who was looking back and forth between them wondering what they missed.
“Well Lou will be getting close to the woman and try to get information out of her she has Lou’s type written all over.” Debbie told them smug
“Like she’ll tell me the information. ‘Hey Miss. Y/L/N where the fuck are you keeping the jewels my team wants to steal them’.” Lou hissed her tone dripping sarcasm
“Please, we need the information.” Constance pleaded pouting Lou narrowed her eyes only causing Constance to pout further finally earning a sigh in defeat from Lou who all but caved she can’t resist Constance pout and she knows it she has a soft spot for the girl.
“Alright, I’ll do it. That was a cheap shot kid,” Lou pointed out getting up earning a beaming smile in return. “How hard can getting information out of her be aren’t people working in museum are boring or uptight as fuck.”
Lou without a word left the building deciding to pay the place a visit she kind of hoped one of the other’s would go in and do that after all Lou’s job was to gather anyone working for them, stealing the objects, making sure everything is going according to plan and have backup plans in case something goes wrong among other things bribing information out of someone wasn’t one of them. Granted a very attractive someone but she wasn’t going to admit that to anyone. Lou sighed realizing is been too long since she’s gotten anyone in her bed and it was starting to show. Lou climbed on a car and drove off following the GPS directions.
~You~
You rushed into the building of your workplace cursing at yourself for forgetting to set up the alarm. You moved to France from your home after finally landing a job that you actually loved for a change. You’ve always been a fan art and Historical artifacts so you began working at a big historical museum in Paris.
You walked into the building passed security and across the huge building waving hi to the security guard. You walked straight to your office that's located towards the back of the building. You barely made it in when your boss who’s also the director and owner of the museum jogged up to you looking like a kid in Christmas and you know something must have happened to get him this excited. The two of you had been friends since you started working there, you where originally the tour guide to the place before he promoted you to the official Registrar of the museum.
"Y/N right on time, we need to talk about something important that just happened." He told you barely able to contain his excitement. You honestly wonder how this man is an adult and owns this place. He is like a child sometimes.
You quirked an eyebrow at him confused, "Sure, what is it?"
He pointed to your office door, "let's go to your office to talk privately. I don't want anyone to overhear.”
Nodding more confused, you opened the door and walked in with him behind you. He closes and locks the door, tugging you into the room making you more confused if possible. The both of you sat across from each other, you barely had the chance to ask again why he was so excited when he handed you two folded piece of paper. Looking confused you opened  the first one and stared at it to find an old drawing of a three jewels. You looked confused when you saw it since it looked like a drawing of the jewels rather than an actual photo.
You looked up at your boss after you studied the two pages and the descriptions of the jewels along with what was used to create them. You remember hearing about these things going missing during a conversation you had with your coworker who was a guide here in the museum. When discussing missing jewelry or historical artifacts he had mentioned several different ancient royal jewels that had gone missing and mentioned these but you weren’t sure what this had to do with anything.
“Richard, do I want to know why you’re showing me these? These aren’t even in our museum I would know is my job to memorize anything and anyone that goes in or out of this place.” You wondered confused
He grinned excitedly, “Yes, They went missing centuries ago and we recently found them again and just so happens that they are secretly on their way here we wont put them on display of course.”
Your eyes widen in shock, “Really? How the hell did you find them?"
He shrugged grinning, "I honestly don't have a clue how they where found the important thing is I got my hands on them before anyone else did. The jewels where stolen and sold in the 1900s someone must have found them recently the crowns where destroyed but turns out they where stolen and hidden. That's as far as I know."
You nodded processing the information for a moment, "okay that makes sense sort of but wouldn’t they be prone to thieves though?”
He chuckled, “Yes, which is why I have a plan which is foul proof. I did not wanted us to suffer the same fate as the Toussaint so I’m going to change a few things here and there around this place but more importantly only you and I will have all the information and location.”
You shook your head at that. Being the only one with specific information only added more stress on you especially if you’re going to be put in charge of it which you knew you where based on the look you where given.
“I’m listening. What’s this infamous information.” you told him slightly sarcastic earning a chuckle
He looked satisfied with your reply and sat back explaining the importance of having the word not get out that those jewels where discovered. He went into greater details on how they where going to get them in the museum, how they where going to be hidden, secured and how they where going to up the security and his crazy idea of adding a few decoys in other locations when you asked why the decoy he looked at you sheepish and said he took the idea from the Met when it was discovered Klugger was wearing a fake so he was borrowing the idea just in case. After he was done explaining which took up an hour or so you looked baffled.
“This better not backfire on us.” you sighed and got up getting ready for work to distract yourself leaving a smug owner in your office.
************
Most of the morning was uneventful and slightly dreadful. There was a tour by a Primary school which was stressful given how some of the kids wanted to run off on their own when their teacher and tour guide was not looking. At one point one of them almost knocked something over since they went past the security point forcing you to run and steady the item and pointing out to the teacher to keep a better eye on her students. You where of curse polite and respectful about it despite your patience being tested.
It wasn’t until the afternoon where everything started to go south. It was a lot busier an old lady freaked out believing that one of the old priceless painting was hers and tried to steal it not to mention she had a cane and smacked you with it a few times until she was escorted away from the area. You where pretty sure you where going to bruise a little. You could not help but wonder how does an old lady able to swing the cane that forcefully. So is safe to say you where in a really bad mood. You walked past the Egyptian wing and paused when you heard a childlike giggle. You walked over just in time to see yet another child trying to get past the safety line and getting inside the security glass. You ran over and stopped him before something tragic happened and fixed the glass. You couldn’t help but glare at the kid. The kid backed up but you grabbed his arm.
“Where are your parents?” You asked in a serious tone he didn’t say anything only pointed to the other side of the Egyptian wing. You walked him over to them to find them both on their phone you tapped their shoulder interrupting the careless parents.
“Yes?” the arrogant mother asked
“Is this your kid?” You asked trying to not sound rude and snap after earning a nod from both you spoke up before they can say anything, “Please keep your kid close to you I just found him nearly knocking over an artifact.”
The father took the kid and narrowed his eyes scolding his son for walking out of their side and misbehaving deciding to punish the kid by taking him home earning a temper tantrum.
“Bill don’t be harsh he didn’t mean it I’m sure we could have paid for the damages.” The mother scolded her husband
You rolled your eyes at that and said, “Yeah, ma’am keep him close and for the record neither of us can afford that thing. Instead of being on your phone how about showing your kid a good time if you payed attention to him he wont have any need to destroy the place. This is the third time I had to stop him.” you turned around and walked off not even bother with civility anymore.
You turned around and stormed off to keep an eye on the rest of the of the museum hoping nothing more will happen. You where in a bad mood and ready to go home. You walked around the corner only to collide with someone causing you to tumble back at that same moment you felt something cold splash all over you. Looking down you realized it was just water.
“Fuck. Watch where you’re walking.” the woman snapped
You glared up at her to find a pair of light blue eyes glaring right back you belonging to a tall platinum blonde woman. You looked down to find her shirt was also wet and she was holding a half empty cup.
“First of all watch where YOU’RE walking, second of all no cellphones and third off I wasn’t the one walking with a cup filled with what ever that was you’re not allowed to have liquids in this section only the lobby’s lounge area blonde.” You snapped right back
“What the fuck I was walking here you’re the one who crashed into me and be glad it was water and I’m allowed to take pictures what kind of fucking museum is this.” the woman snapped
You rolled your eyes, “That’s what bottles of water are for genius.”
That only pissed off the blonde even more, “First of all this use to be soda before I finished it and emptied my water in here second of all fuck you, you’re rude as fuck.”
Both of you glared daggers at each other clearly pissed off. Any other circumstance you would have admired how attractive and how her closed hugged her body just right but not right now. Right now you where actively glaring daggers' at her for being a rude bitch. Why the hell are the hot ones always rude and obnoxious. You wondered
You saw her unlocked phone and narrowed your eyes pointing to a sign, “You can’t take pictures in this section new rule only certain areas are allowed to have pictures taken put that phone away”
“What the fuck. First of all none of the other staffs have said shit the only uptight complaining is you second of all I only took some pictures.” The woman snapped
“I need to check your phone.” You told her. it wasn’t that you where out to get her but it was a rule and this particular area no one was allowed to take pictures ever since last year most museums and locations holding expensive items became more strict
“NO.” The woman all but growled
“I need to see it.” You said beginning to loose your patients you said hell with professionalism and snatched it looking through the pictures she took earning a protest trying to snatch it back and you stopped her with a sharp glare and grabbing her free hand. You found a few pictures of statues that are pretty heavy. You looked suspiciously at the glaring woman and handed her the phone back.
“We don’t allow phones anymore miss. Put that away.” you told her for the second time sharply
Lou glared at you not appreciating the bad treatment, “Why not the other museums allow it and I don’t appreciate having my phone snatched from me.”
“Not anymore. Blame the moron who decided team up with Klugger and steal that Toussaint necklace. Lucky them the insurance agent is dumb as fuck. No one allows phone anymore let along pictures being taken. Now either chug that drink or I’m snatching it with your phone and not returning them.” you warned and stormed off to try and clean up your top leaving a very pissed off blonde behind.
What the fuck is wrong with her? Fucking rude. You thought pissed off. You spoke sharply through your walky-talky’s earpiece to have someone clean up the spill and stormed off to your office deciding it was better do paperwork than to deal with guests.
~Lou~
It wasn’t until you stormed away when Lou realized you where the woman Debbie mentioned that had all the information and cursed at that.
Great, Getting information from someone like her will be nearly impossible. Lou thought glaring at the spot you where just in.
Lou stormed out of the building determined to get something out of you but knew it will be impossible since she knew you will probably keeping a close eye on her after that horrible interaction. Lou got even more angry when she remembered you boldly snatching her phone and probably erasing some of the pictures she had taken from the interesting objects there.
“Fucking rude uptight b.” Lou complained angrily while driving only to be interrupted by her phone. Lou drove towards the warehouse clearly pissed off evident in her feature, her posture was tense, her jawline clenched and she was gripping her steering wheel tightly. She chose to ignore the phone to annoyed to bother with answering.

This first part is not, in my opinion, my best piece of work, but I needed to get it out so I could get the motivation to the remaining parts. Not sure if it’ll have only 1 more part or 2, we’ll see how much my brain helps me out. Hope you enjoy this, love
Other parts: Part 2; Part 3; Part 4
Tumblr media
Y/N barely remembers the first time she met Slash, they were so young after all. But she still remembers his big, curious eyes looking at the garter snakes that always roamed the open space behind her house.
She had been on her own way to play with them but shyly stopped on her tracks. She was looking at the boy who had moved into the house in front of hers three days ago and was now there.
She had been considering going up to him to see the snake he had been looking at, but instead settled for looking at the one moving not too far from her.
The two steps she had taken to get close to the animal had made a twig snap underneath her feet, which made Slash's eyes snap up to her. His dark eyes fixated on her face, scanning it for a few seconds before he gave her a soft, shy smile.
If Y/N's mother had been close, Y/N would have run to her and hidden behind her legs, but she had to settle for bowing her head and letting her hair hide her face.
She heard Slash's small footsteps as he came close, carefully holding the snake he had been watching in his small hands. He put it on the ground once he was close to Y/N and crouched by her side, silently keeping her company.
That had been the first time they met. They were probably four or five years old, she didn't really remember. Those silent hangouts happened for two more days. After that, Y/N's parents had invited Slash's family over for dinner.
That night, Y/N and Slash actually talked while they played in her room.
They had been inseparable ever since.
[...]
Y/N sighed as she rested her head comfortably on her pillow, Slash doing the same by her right side.
"You always have the best pot..." She giggled, handing him the joint she had rolled for them.
Slash chuckled at the dragged out tone of her voice.
An Aerosmith record played on the background, and it was the only thing breaking the silence they always settled in. It might have been weird for others to spend so much time in silence with such a close friend, but for them, it was the most normal thing in the world.
Slash tilted his head to the side, eyes slightly covered by his hair, and looked at Y/N's profile for a minute. He was gathering a bit of courage to ask her a question, even if he didn't like to admit that he was nervous.
"Are you free next Friday?" He asked, the sudden sound of his voice scaring her for a few seconds and making her head snap to him.
Y/N rolled her eyes and flipped him off when he chuckled. "Yeah." She exhaled the smoke and rolled on her side, turning her whole body to him. "Why do you ask?" She questioned, extending him the joint.
Slash accepted it and took a puff before turning to her as well. "I was thinking we could hang out. You know, ride around town and shit..."
Y/N eyed him for a few seconds. She had known him for nearly 10 years, and all that time had taught her how to read him like an open book, so it was not hard for her to realize he was not saying exactly what he wanted.
"We always hang out..." She trailed off, trying to get the whole truth out of him. "Are the guys going too?"
"I thought it could be just us this time. We could get some food, from Canter's, and then eat it on that field you always go to..."
Y/N smiled softly as she noticed his cheeks turning a slightly darker tone. "Like... Like a date?"
Slash smiled back, immediately feeling a bit more at ease. "Yeah... Like a date."
Y/N's smiled widened. "I'd love to."
Slash's smile turned into a grin.
[...]
"Happy birthday, love." Y/N smiled, standing up on her toes and wrapping her arms around Slash's neck, pulling him for a kiss.
Slash smiled between the kiss, wrapping his arms around her and spinning her around. The action made laughter bubble inside her chest.
"Where's my gift?" Slash asked excitedly. "You spent an entire week teasing, I wanna see it."
Y/N bit her lower lip and eyed all of Slash's friends already gathered around the house. "Can't exactly give it to you here..." She smirked, taking his hand and guiding it up her thigh, underneath the skirt, letting him feel the silk set she had bought.
"Happy fucking birthday to me..." Slash smirked, pulling her for another kiss, hungrier this time.
[...]
"That was really fucking good..." Y/N breathed out, pulling her hair away from her sweaty forehead.
"It's always good..." Slash smirked as he laid down by her side.
Y/N laughed and turned to him with a smile. Pulling him for a sweet, soft kiss. After that, she settled down again, letting her eyes roam over his body, feeling a warmth spread inside her.
"Y/N?" Slash called, turning to her.
"Yeah?" Her eyes snapped up to his.
Slash stared at her silently for a few seconds. "I love you..."
Y/N grinned and leaned to capture his lips in a deep kiss. "I love you too..." She mumbled against him, smiling.
He smiled against her too, pulling her body on top of his.
[…]
Y/N smiled fondly at all the memories as she read the article about Slash's new album with his band, Slash's Snakepit.
The feeling this curly-haired boy caused in her chest was something from another world... it made her heart twist and clench and yet be at total peace. It made a warmth spread over her body, made her feel safe and calm, powerful and strong... it made her feel like everything was ok, even what was not ok...
It was the most powerful form of love she had ever seen, felt, or even heard of... nothing had ever lived up to it...
And that is exactly why it stung so much and yet felt so good to think about him.

No One Lives Forever- CH7
(AO3 link)
Stardust Crusader Wolf Pack AU
[From the beginning- CH1]
<Previous Chapter   Next Chapter>
It took Polnareff some time to cool off from the implications that the mysterious and frankly frightening man he met all those years ago was now behind some other shady business involving wolves, but by the time he reached the vehicles abandoned on the side of the road he was able to focus on the task at hand. Both were unlocked so it was easy to take a look inside the white van first. Opening the back door revealed the cargo area had been partitioned with metal cage sections like those in the backs of police cruisers.
Other gear was scattered around the back near the rear doors for easy access. Some more guns and ammo boxes and an overturned bin of the collar devices that they found on the bodies. Nothing really caught his eye but he took pictures on his phone for future reference. The keys were still in the ignition so he started up the vehicle and moved it off the main road to not draw unwanted attention.
It felt rude to go sniffing through your car, so after a brief look through the windows to confirm the hunters left no surprises, he opened the door and put it in neutral. With a few strong shoves he was able to rescue it from the shallow ditch it had been driven into. Your keys were also still in the ignition and luckily it started, but a few lights on the dash lit up- probably more internal damage than he first assumed from the crash. Driving slow and steady he was able to get it back to the cabin.
The slamming of the car door must have alerted the rest of the pack to his return, he saw Avdol peek through the window as he made his way to the door. Inside he was glad to see you moving about mostly unaided on your own, your wounds must be healing well thanks to Avdol’s expert care. Producing your car keys, he hands them over, “I was able to drive it back, but I don’t think it’s up for any longer distances without repairs. I thought you would want your things back though.”
You sigh as you realize you really are stuck with this pack, not that you mind them but the sudden loss of freedom is disheartening. You thank him as you take back your keys.
“Pol, did you find anything else? Any link to who sent them?” Jotaro asks as everyone stares intently at him, the rest of the pack must have already been brought up to speed on the situation.
“Just more of the same gear. I moved their van off the road so no nosey troopers get involved, at least not right now. Took some pictures of the inside in case you guys see anything I missed.” Polnareff hands over his phone to Jotaro who scrolls through the images before handing it to Avdol. Walking over to the table where the hunters’ things are still laid out Polnareff absently fiddles with the extra ammo before picking one up to examine more closely. “Hmm, that’s odd. There are no makers marks on this?”
“What do you mean?” Joseph scratches his beard as he holds one up as well.
“It’s weird that there’s no markings whatsoever. Silver bullets are always homemade but the quality of these, they look mass produced but have no manufacture marks.” Polnareff’s face is grim as he makes the connection.
“What does that mean? Is that unusual?” You ask as you try to understand the significance.
Jotaro sighs as Polnareff hands him the piece he was holding. “It means this group of hunters is experienced enough not to leave evidence linking to them. And their operation is probably much more complex and much bigger than the group we encountered here. The tech, the mass manufacture of silver ammo…”
“And the van was modified for prisoners.” Polnareff shakes his head and sighs.
“Polnareff, you said before you recognized the smell of one of the hunters.” Jotaro rolls his eyes as Joseph lets out a fake cough that sounds a lot like ‘DIO’. “Ignoring who it may or may not be for now, how do you know that scent?”
“I don’t know how else to describe it other than it smells like magic. It’s like nothing else I’ve ever smelled. There was only one person I’ve ever encountered that smelled like that.” Polnareff sits heavily in the nearest chair as the pack reconvenes at the table. “It was about five years ago now, before I met you Mr. Joestar. I was in New York City for the first time, trying to follow a lead on a case but having no luck. I heard rumors of a man who knew what had really happened to… in the case.” Polnareff gets a little choked up but controls himself and continues. “I was able to set up a meeting, but when I went to the spot, everything kind of… shifted? It felt like I was in a dream: it was hard to move, like weights on my feet. Everything looked just slightly wrong too, hazy like in a fog. I remember there was some sort of party going on, a lot of people everywhere like a medieval banquet or something. That’s where I met him. He introduced himself as Dio and I could tell he wasn’t human but couldn’t place what he actually was. He claimed he had the information I needed, but it would come at a price.”
“What do you mean by ‘investigation?” you tilt your head in confusion as you try to analyze his story so far.
“Ah, you wouldn’t know yet chérie but I’m one of the best private investigators in New York, probably the whole east coast!” Polnareff brags, jabbing his chest with his thumb.
“Focus Pol! What was his ‘price’?” Joseph groans out, exasperated with the younger man’s need to show off. “And why did you even need supernatural help? Not to inflate your ego any more than it is, but you are a good investigator.”
Polnareff looks down to the table, all sense of cheerfulness gone from his face. “The case had gone cold. It’s actually the reason I became a PI in the first place. My family, the whole town… they were murdered!” He slams his fists on the table as he shouts. “And not by just some maniac in the night! It was something inhuman! That’s the reason why I needed his help or whatever info he had on who did such a terrible act.”
You are frozen to your chair in shock with this new information. It seems to have taken the younger members of the pack by surprise too, Joseph and Avdol only nodding along in understanding. “The whole town murdered? You don’t mean…The one north of Quebec City, that was your home?” you say quietly.
Polnareff’s eyes shoot to yours, “Oui! Do you know of it?”
You swallow nervously as all the attention turns on you, “I heard of it, that was about seven or eight years ago right?” Polnareff nods and you continue, “That was about time I left my parent’s territory to try and find or start my own pack. They made me promise to not go that far north to Quebec, they were afraid whatever did that would get me too. They say the whole town was… torn apart.”
Polnareff hangs his head and you can see tears gather in his blue eyes. “Yes. It’s been years now but the pain… I wasn’t there when it happened, I was off in Quebec City partying while my family… When I got back, I was the one who found them. It wasn’t just a burglary gone bad or even ‘normal’ murder. Whatever killed them had used silver to do it. All of them, the whole town,” he chokes on his words trying to get the next ones out, “some of the bodies were eaten. Not by animals, by something almost human. I didn’t rest for days afterward. I swore I would hunt down the thing, the demon that did this to them. Unfortunately, I was not as good a tracker then as I am now, and the trail grew cold fast. So, I became a PI to try and keep looking and hone my skills.”
“That Dio guy, did he help at all? You said his help came at a price.” Jotaro directs the conversation back to the mysterious encounter.
“His price was too steep. He wanted information about other supernatural beings, to keep tabs and report to him directly.”
“Do you think he really did have the information though?” Kakyoin questions as he steeples his fingers together in front of him while he considers the information of Polnareff’s story.
Polnareff shakes his head, “It’s impossible to know now. He was so confident, about everything. I think I surprised him when I refused though. For a moment, it was like I saw his true face through the fog, he was suddenly terrifying and not at all charming. But I figured if he knew something, with all the people he had surrounded himself with someone else was bound to know as well. Whatever secret knowledge he had, it wouldn’t be secret for long. And why pay such a price for something that I could get for free later?”
“Did you ever find out his secret?” Avdol leans in as he asks, enraptured by Polnareff’s tale.
“Non, I don’t even remember leaving the place he brought me to. The next thing I remember after turning down his offer is, I suddenly found myself sitting in my car ready to head back to my motel.” He clasps his hands together and you can see his knuckles turn white from the tension. “I tried to find him again to, I don’t know… stop him? His intentions for the info on other creatures… It couldn’t have been good. And the slip of his façade I saw. The man, that creature is bad news. But he might have well been a ghost. I haven’t seen hide nor hair of him since.”
Polnareff turns to you, “A few years later I got hired by Mr. Joestar to keep an eye on a shady landlord working for him, and I guess the rest is history.” He shakes his head, “Who would have thought joining your pack would lead back to Dio again. Non- this is fate.”
Avdol gives Polnareff a pat on the shoulder before turning to Joseph. “Mr. Joestar, I think you should tell us what you know about Dio, or at least the person you know as Dio. I think it’s time the younger ones hear this.” Avdol says as he leans back in his chair and crosses his arms.
Joseph nods and runs his hand through his hair before he begins, “Right. Ahh, well,” he pauses to gather his thoughts for a second, “I know this is going to sound crazy but I guess there is no way around it. When I was young, I lived with my granny Erina, my parents were either dead or missing and her husband Jonathan had been dead since before my father was even born. Now’s not the time to get into the details of that but Granny used to tell me all kinds of stories from when Jonathan was alive. And most importantly- the majority of them involved an evil man named DIO! My grandfather’s adopted brother!” Joseph doesn’t control his volume in his excitement and ends up shouting his last sentence.
“Being an adopted son in a werewolf pack was strange enough, but Granny could tell there was something ‘other’ about Dio as well. Then one night, his schemes and plans finally came to fruition! There was a massive fight at the house, Granny said Jonathan would not speak of it except that his father George had died saving him from Dio’s magic and in the fight the manor was set on fire and burned down. Jonathan made it his life’s mission to find and destroy Dio, not for revenge but for the safety of England and the world!” Joseph turns his attention to look directly at Jotaro, “Dio was a changeling child. His actions confirmed it that night. He was one of the last remaining Fae on earth. And apparently not of the good and benevolent kind. So, you see why it could be possible that this man may be the same one my grandpa tried to destroy more than a hundred years ago.”
“That… that’s impossible! The Fae, they all disappeared long before that to Avalon.” Kakyoin is wide eyed as he tries to process the information. “I know some humans still believe in them, but…”
“I know! I know! I thought they were just stories from my granny too!” Joseph exclaims and puts his hand to his eyes, “But one time… I don’t think I was supposed to see it, but I found an old photo album. There was a family photo of my grandfather, his father, and Dio.” He turns to Polnareff, “Pol, the man you met. Did he have blond hair, angry eyes and three moles on his left ear?”
It’s Polnareff’s turn to go pale as he slowly nods.
Jotaro growls as he tilts his hat to hide his eyes before snapping his head up to face the pack. “As impossible as this all sounds, it doesn’t change the fact that someone is hunting down wolves. I don’t give a shit if it is Dio or not, or an extinct Fae or not. We are going to put an end to this.” He looks around the table for a second and you can tell his eyes linger on yours longer than the others. “If anyone has an objection to this say it now. There will be no opportunity later.”
Joseph slams his hand to the table palm down, “I’m in! lets show this bastard who he’s messing with!”
Joseph’s enthusiasm is contagious and you and Polnareff slam your hands to the table as well, surprising the group with the fire they can see burning in your eyes. “Hell yeah! They think they can just take me? No way! I’m going to help tear this guy to pieces! I’m with you all the way!” You say as you look directly at Jotaro. You’re not sure but you think that’s a look of pride on his face as you make your declaration.
Avdol and Kakyoin keep their cool but you can see the determination in their eyes as they nod and place their hands on the table as well. Joseph is grinning like a feral maniac and you suddenly believe his stories about saving the world with how excited he looks to do it all over again. “Then it’s settled! I’ll call Caesar and let him know to gather the Zeppeli pack too.” Joseph pauses as he stands and looks at you, “Oh, and (Y/N)?” you tilt your head at him to continue. “Welcome to the Joestar pack.”

Author’s Note:
Sorry for the slow update! Guess who’s not good at regulating her personal time? This gal! I had to change up the process of how I’m writing this cause just trying to type on my computer had too many distractions and next thing I know I’ve been playing Stardew Valley for  3 hours.
Anyway, I have a favor to ask- I need a name for one of the dead bad guys. So leave a comment with a first name for the guy from Jersey, can be a bad ex, terrible boss, friend you want to embarrass by getting their name in a fanfic (first names only please- no doxing!)

Better Late Than Never
My first time writing actual smut...not sure if it’s any good.
Pairing: Mammon/Unnamed femMC
Summary: MC is sick of waiting around for Mammon to make a move and goes on a date with another demon (just a male oc). Mammon gets jealous and follows them on their date.
Warnings: smut, some angst and drama, semi public sex, jealous Mammon.
MC is sitting in class, bored to tears when she first notices the demon. She starts to nod off and is woken by a tap on her shoulder. She spins to look at the devilishly handsome demon behind her, smirking. He is a youthful looking guy with a mohawk and a wicked grin. “You might want to wake up,” he whispers, “this teacher is a real dick.”
She smiles. “Thanks for the info.”
She feels that familiar spin in her stomach. The one a young woman gets when she sees a cute boy and thinks that cute boy could be interested in her. The feeling she gets when she looks at Mammon. Ugh, Mammon. She’s hopelessly in love with the Avatar of Greed, but he will never make a move. So when the demon boy slides a torn piece of notebook paper on her desk at the end of class with a number and his name (Damien) on it, she considers him.
Maybe it’ll make Mammon jealous enough to make a move. Maybe she’ll actually end up liking this Damien guy and have some fun with him.
“Call me tonight?” he says and gives her that same smirking grin. He winks and leaves class, walking the opposite way. MC sighs, her heart fluttering.
Asmodeus notices right away. He knows infatuation when he sees it.
“Who’s the boy? Or maybe a girl?”
MC smiles. “Boy. And his name is Damien.”
“Ohhh. I know Damien. He’s cute.”
“He gave me his number. Should I call him?”
“Of course you should!”
MC bites her lip. What about Mammon, she wants to ask, but she knows Asmo won’t ever understand her attachment to his older brother. He’d scold her, saying Mammon was a scumbag.
Mammon notices something’s up as they’re walking home. “What’s with ya?”
“Nothing, just got stuff on my mind.”
“Like what?”
She decides to tell him. “Do you know Damien?”
“Yeah, he’s in your Demon History class, right?”
“Yeah.”
“What about him?” Mammon asks. “He didn’t hurt you or nothin’, did he?”
“No, actually...he gave me his number.”
Mammon stops in his tracks. “He...did?”
“Yeah?” Her heart flutters. Is he finally going to tell her how he feels? “What do you think about that?”
The greedy demon blushes. “Why would I care?”
Heart. Broken. “I don’t know.”
“Are you going to date him now or somethin?”
“Maybe.”
“You shouldn’t.”
“Why not?”
He huffs. “Well, uh, because...you know.”
“What?” she asks, her eyes pleading with him to tell her. Please, just tell me, Mammon. Tell me you love me. I promise I love you back.
The two stand, each so badly wanting to tell each other the truth yet too stubborn or shy to actually do it.
“He’s probably just wantin’ to eat you, ‘s all. No demon would want to be with a stupid human.”
Heart. Shattered.
MC scoffs, stomping away. “Alright, thanks, Mammon.”
“Oh, come on, don’t be like that! What’d I do?” He runs after her.
She turns to face him. “You’re a fucking asshole, do you know that?”
Mammon looks at her, completely shocked. “Hey!” He’s used to this abuse from his brothers, but never once has MC ever said anything like this to him.
She storms off, desperate to reach the House of Lamentation and her room before Mammon catches up.
MC sits on her bed, trying so hard to keep the tears in. Maybe Mammon didn’t feel the same way after all. She fished Damien’s number out of her pocket, plugging the number into her D.D.D. He answers right away.
“Who’s this?”
“This is MC from your Demon History class. You woke me up today…”
“Ahh, Sleeping Beauty! I was worried you wouldn’t call.”
He’s cocky and it kind of irritates her, but he seems to like her and right now she’s desperate for reassurance. She fakes a laugh.
“Are you free tonight?” he asks, “I’d love to take you out for dinner. Then you can come over to my place if you want.”
“That sounds great.”
“Cool. You’re staying at the House Of Lamentation, right?”
“Yep.”
“I’ll be by at 6:30 to pick you up?”
“Sounds good.”
“Alright, see you soon. Bye, Beautiful.”
MC hangs up, tossing her phone on her bed with a sigh. “I need Asmo,” she tells herself.
Asmo is over the moon when MC comes by to ask him to do her hair and makeup for her date. Together they pick out an outfit, a beautiful short black dress with a cute little cardigan and thigh high boots.
Asmo stares at her. “You look stunning.”
“Thanks, Asmo.”
“Now, go get laid, and if anything happens, please call one of us.”
“Okay.”
“But first...let’s show you off.”
Before MC can argue, Asmodeus drags her to the dining room where his brothers are getting ready for dinner.
“Asmo, MC, there you…” Lucifer stops, looking at MC. “What’s the occasion?”
“MC has a date!” Asmo squeals. “Doesn’t she look beautiful?”
Satan, Belphie, and Beel all look at their human in wonder. Belphie grins. “You really do.”
Satan nods. “You look lovely.”
Lucifer isn’t fazed. “You’re going on a date?”
MC nods. “Just some guy from one of my classes. I won’t be gone long.”
“Do you want one of us to go with you?”
She chuckles. “Wouldn’t that be weird?”
“I just want to make sure you’re safe.”
“I’ll be fine,” she assures Lucifer. “I’ll call if something goes wrong.”
“Okay…” the eldest brother says, though still, the thought of her being out without him or one of his brothers makes him nervous.
Mammon and Levi walk in then, arguing about who knows what. Levi notices MC right away, face burning red.
Mammon’s jaw drops. “...MC? Awfully dressed up for dinner, ain’t ya?”
He wants to cover her, take her away from the ogling eyes of his brothers.
“I’m going out for dinner.”
“No one told me we were going out…”
“We’re not,” Asmo replies for her. “MC has a date.”
Mammon runs his hand through his white hair. “That Damien guy?”
MC nods. “Yep.”
The sound of the doorbell ringing disrupts the discussion. Asmo grins, fixing up MC’s hair. “Go get ‘em, girl.”
MC awkwardly waves to the demon brothers before leaving.
“Mammon, you alright?” Beel asks, noticing the sullen look on his older brother’s face.
Mammon looks down at the ground, refusing to meet anyone’s eyes. “I’m just not really hungry.”
Mammon walks out and the rest of the demons all exchange worried glances.
Mammon walks into Ristorante Six, and spotting MC and Damien, goes as far as away from them as possible without losing sight of them.
He watches as Damien puts his hand on MC’s knee, as he smiles at her and makes her blush and laugh. He watches as Damien doesn’t realize how MC gets annoyed when he ignores her for a few minutes to talk to someone on his D.D.D.
He watches as Damien kisses her. Mammon feels like he could explode from anger. Some random low tier demon putting hands and lips and tongue on HIS human.
Mammon waits as patiently as he can, eyes never leaving MC and her stupid date. When she gets up to use the bathroom, he knows it’s his time to strike.
He heads over to the table, bringing a chair up to the table. Damien looks up from his phone in confusion.
“Can I help you?”
“You’re on a date with a human.”
“Yeah? So?”
“Why?”
Damien scoffs. “What’s it to ya?”
“Because that’s my human.”
“Oh, really? She belongs to you, does she?”
Mammon balls his hands into fists. He can feel himself about to lose control, horns coming out any moment. “Yes. She’s my responsibility and I was the first demon to make a pact with her.”
“Isn’t that sweet? Well, guess what?” He leaned in close to the Avatar of Greed. “I’m gonna fuck your human.”
Mammon is seeing red. He’s full on demon now, making a scene, but he doesn’t care. “You really think she’ll let you do that?”
“Oh, I know she will. I can smell her cunt. I know she’s wet for me.”
Mammon’s about to strike when he hears MC’s voice. “Mammon?”
He turns, looking at her.
“Hey, Beautiful,” Damien says, winking at the human.
Mammon glares at him.
MC throws her hand up at Damien. “You shut the fuck up.”
She gathers her stuff, leaving both of the demons behind as she walks off. Mammon runs after her.
“What the fuck is your problem?” she yells at Mammon, shoving him. It’s raining, hard, and MC considers to herself for a moment how dramatic this all is. She would’ve laughed if she weren’t so pissed.
“Hey! You do know I’m a demon, don’t you?”
“Shut up, Mammon! For once, shut the fuck up. Why were you at my date?”
“Well, do ya want me to shut up or do ya want me to answer?”
MC growls in frustration. “I want you to stop being a dickhead. Damn it, Mammon! I don’t understand you!”
“What d’ya mean?”
“We are together constantly. I flirt with you and you flirt back. You don’t like anyone else flirting with you. Yet when I think you’re interested, you say I’m just a stupid human. That you don’t care about me. But then you’re on my date?”
“I was making sure you were safe. I didn’t trust that guy.”
“Well, I never asked you to do that. And it was going fine until you came over.”
Mammon’s face fell. “I fucked up.”
She rolled her eyes. “I just...Mammon, do you want me or not?”
“What?”
“Do you want me or not? Do you like me?”
Mammon turns red. “L-like you?”
“Yes. Because I think you do. And I like you.”
“Then why’d you go on a date with that prick?”
“Because he made a move.”
“Move? You want me to make a move? Fuckin’ fine.”
Mammon pulls her to him, lips crashing onto hers. She shuts her eyes, electricity running through her entire being. He picks her up and she wraps her legs around his waist, pushing her body as close to him as she could possibly get. He backs them up, pressing her into the outside wall of the restaurant.
“Mammon,” she moans into his mouth and he eats it up. He moves to her neck, nipping at the skin. MC runs her hand through his hair, pulling it, earning a groan from the Avatar of Greed.
The demon slides his hand under her dress, ripping her underwear away from her, surprisingly smoothly. She lets out a squeal.
“You want me to make a move, do ya? I’ll fuck you right here. Is that what you want?”
“Yes, Mammon,” she replies. “Fuck me.”
Mammon can’t contain his grin as he sets the human down, unbuckling his pants just enough to pull out his cock. MC smiles back at him, crawling back onto him and positioning herself over him.
“I’ve been waiting for this for a long time,” she confesses.
Mammon blushes, like he’s done so many times before. “I’m sorry I never told you how I feel about you, MC.”
She kisses him. “It’s okay, Mammon.”
She lowers herself down on his hard cock, one of her hands holding onto his horn. The two of them moan out loud together.
Mammon rests his forehead on hers as the two of them find a beautiful rhythm together. “I’m so in love with you,” he whispers as he fucks himself up into her.
“I’m in love with you too,” she confesses through moans. “Mammon. I love you.”
She comes quickly, the walls of her pussy tightening around him, jump starting his own climax. He shoots his load into her, and she cries out, biting down on his shoulder, a shiver running through her.
Mammon gently pulls himself out of her and sets her down. He kisses her and blushes. “So, uh, you’re my human, right? Nobody else’s?”
She laughs, giving him a hug. “Nobody else’s.”

Guilt
It’s one thing to keep a secrets, but it’s another thing when you’re hiding it from the people you love. For Kate, she was becoming consumed in her own guilt as each day passed. Everyday her breaths would shorten, her heartbeat quicken, and her conscience relentlessy invading her inner thoughts. Kate tried to find all the possibilities to avoid the truth, and make everyone happy...but it didnt matter. One way or another, someone was going to get hurt.
Kate stood in front of Harrison and Harry at her doorstep. While she was relieved and excited to see them, a slight tinge of fear was present. “How are you going to find out the truth?” She asks calmly as Harrison and Harry made their way into the apartment. Kate picked up her phone, checking for an message. None showed up.
“Well, we might have found something. A clue maybe, but we’re not sure.” Harry explained as he picked up his macbook, turning it on.
“Is Y/N here?” Harrison asked, and as if on cue she appeared, heavy bags under her eyes.
The moment Y/N laid eyes on the two, she couldn’t believe it. Her hands quickly rubbing the sleep from her eyes, almost convinced it was a dream. “What? Harry? Harrison? What are you guys doing here?” Y/N excitedly asks. She made her way towards the boys giving them a long awaited hug. “I missed you guys.” She whispers.
“We want to help you.” Harrison says as he pulled away. “The unknown number? We might have an idea.”
Y/N looked at them suspiciously, checking her phone for cryptic messages. “Does anyone know you’re here?”
They both shook their head. “We didn’t tell anyone back home. As far as anyone knows, Harrison and I are going on a 3 day hike with little reception.” Harry reassured her with his boyish smile. Y/N look at him with admiration. He may not look like his brother, but his tone had Tom written all over it.
“Great. Just make sure your location is off on your phones..they could be watching us.” Kate warned as she checked her phone again.
Harrison looked at Kate with sympathy. In the years he’s known her because of Y/N and Tom’s relationship, she always seemed to be the sweetest most loyal friend out there. He was happy that Y/N had someone like Kate in her life. Not to mention it was also a plus that she was fairly pretty, even with the worry written all over face, she was still beautiful to Harrison.
“Hey.” Harrison spoke out for Kate’s attention. “We’re gonna figure this out. I promise.” While Kate nodded, she silently knew that this was not going to end well.”
“Wait...so Tom? Is he—?” Y/N asks the boys with anticipation.
Harrison knowing, exactly what Y/N was asking before she could even finished answered swiftly. “No! Of course not!” He laughs as if it was the silliest thing to answer. “Y/N, Tom loves you. He still does.”
“But the pictures..”
“Was a PR stunt set by Natalie’s publicists.” Harrison finished. “He’s doing a project that Natalie somehow got involved in, and they wanted a PR relationship to sell it. He didn’t want to at first, but then they showed him pictures of you and some div.”
“Hey he’s not some div! Matt’s a good guy.” Y/N defends. “Sweet actually, but I turned him down at the end of it. We’re just friends.”
Then it clicked. “Wait. You said that Tom saw the pictures?” Y/N asked trying to piece it together. “How did he get pictures?”
Harry and Harrison took a moment to think it through. “Well...Natalie’s publicist showed it to Tom.” Harry answered.
“But we don’t know where she got the pictures from.” Harrison added. “My money was on Natalie...still is.”
“Cmon mate. There’s no way she could have gotten pictures in New York and suddenly fly back to London.”
Kate slowly made her way to her own room, no longer wanting to be part of the conversation. They were getting too suspicious, and the more they questioned, the more nervous she got.
“Well maybe the unknown number sent it.” Harry said as he continued to be deep in his thoughts. “Or they found out on that fan account you found Harrison.”
“Wait? Fan account? They know?!” Y/N freaked out. Three years into making sure she was kept in the shadows, and it went all down the drain. If it there were fan accounts then it would only make it harder to finding out who really did sabotage her relationship. Let alone everyone’s lives.
“We don’t know yet, but Harrison found a fan account that was posting about Tom and you. Not together at least, but seperately. The weird part is...barely few people follow it, so we’re not sure what it means.” Harry explained, as he tried to pull up the account. “Oh no.”
“What? What do you mean ‘Oh no’?” Harrison panicked.
“I cant find the account.” Harrison said as he tried to pull it up, but the page disappeared.
In the nick of time, a message was sent to all three of them.
Unknown
Looks like you’re back to square 1 ❤️
“Shit! How did they know?” Harrison questioned in anger. “We were this close!”
“It’s okay Harrison. I appreciate that you guys tried, but it’s a lost cause.” Y/N consoled him, rubbing his shoulder.
“It won’t be. We’ll find another way.” Harry encouraged as he hugged them both. “By the way, where’s Kate gone?”
All three looked up to notice she was missing. Y/N waved it off, assuming it was just one of those days. “She probably went to bed early. Kate gets tired easily, nowadays. It might be because of her new job on top of watching out for me. Its a lot to take on for a person.”
The reasoning seemed valid enough Harrison and Harry. Plus it was Kate they were talking about, she always had Y/N’s back from day one, she wouldnt blackmail any of them or ruin Y/N and Tom’s relationship..right?
Late in the night, Harrison had trouble sleeping because of the jetlag. Since it only was a medicore 2 bedroom apartment, Harrison and Harry slept in the living room on the sofa bed. Luckily it was big enough for the both them and they didnt have to resort to cuddling. Harrison lied on his back as he looked out to the NYC view, thinking about everything and nothing at all. He smiled, thinking about it all. For a very serious couple, a lot of shit has gone down and yet here he was with trying to save it. He cared about the two so deeply, they were his family and family never turns their back on the other.
Then he heard something, whispers coming from the hall. Harrison didn’t dare to make a move but he trained his ears to listen carefully at the voice.
“Im telling you they are getting suspicious.” The voice whispered into the phone. It sounded like Kate’s and Harrison continued to listen in.
“No.No. I sent the damn pictures to you for a reason. No one told me that they would come here. I wasn’t prepared for that.” Kate continues as she paces in the corner.
Pictures? Harrison was awake more than ever, as he quickly shook Harry, and told him to stay quiet. They continued to listen.
“Look I did everything I was told to do. She got what she wanted, now —” Kate stopped in her tracks as she saw Harry and Harrison in front of her. Immediately she dropped the call, her lips moving, unable to find the words.
“How could you?” Harry said his brown eyes glaring at at the girl who just betrayed her best friend. “She was your best friend! How could you?!” He spoke louder.
Kate tried her best to quiet them down, but there was the point. She knew this day would come. “You don’t understand.” Kate whispers, looking at the ground. “I was only doing this to protect Y/N.”
“Protect Y/N? Blackmailing her? Sending pictures of her and a guy to Tom, so he would turn against her? That’s protecting her?” Harrison questioned, hurt by her actions. If he was hurt, then surely It would hurt Y/N far worse.
Y/N comes out of her room as she sees the three gather together, glaring at each other. “Hey..w-what’s going in?” She asks nervously.
“Why don’t you tell her Kate?” Harry spits out as he gestures to Y/N. Kate looks into her best friend’s eyes tears welling up. Y/N had fear struck into her face, afraid of what she had to say.
“I’m so sorry.” She cries. “I didn’t have a choice. She would have ruined our friendship if I did.”
“Kate. What.Did.You.Do?” Y/N asks, emphasizing each word to the question.
Kate shook her head as she let out a deep sigh. “Im the reason your pictured with Matt got out Tom.”
Y/N shook her head, tears streaming. She didn’t want to believe it. “Please tell me you’re lying.”
“Im sorry Y/N. I swear I didnt mean for this to get out of hand. I was threatened that if I didn share them, then they would say something that could ruin our friendship..and...I didnt want that to happen.” Kate frantically explains, sobbing at her no good explanation.
Y/N shook her head, her face switching from sadness to anger. “Looks like you didn’t need them to ruin it at all for you. Now you’re gonna tell me what you know and then Im packing my stuff and Im moving out.”
Kate sobbed as she try to plead to her ex-bestfriend to stay. “Look I’ll tell you everything okay, but it’s not much.” She takes a deep breath before she continues. “I was the one that started the rumors and created the fan account Harry and Harrison saw.”
“Why?” Y/N asks, her disappointed face unchanging.
“I was jealous of you at the time. Y/N you had everything I could have ever wanted in my life. A job, a boyfriend that doesn’t leave you, a family that loves you, and the fame which you didn’t even want to accept with open arms. You were always a step ahead of me at something and I was tired of it. So when you told me you felt uneasy about Natalie when she first moved in, I sold that info online and twisted the story so that it looked like Tom liked Natalie and they were a potential couple.”
“Oh my god.” Harrison said as he let his head down. “You made Natalie think that Tom was in love with her secretly thats why she had become so persistant.”
Kate slowly nodded as she took another breath. “As for the fan accounts I can’t tell you much because I was just asked to create them by the Unknown number.”
“Wait so you’re not the unknown number?” Harry asked confused.
Kate shook her head. “I don’t who it is. Im just a vicitim as much as you guys are.”
“No cut that bullshit. It’s because of you that all of our lives are a mess. It’s because of you that I had to lose the most important thing in my life. So don’t say you’re a fucking victim when all you really did was try to save your own ass.” Y/N yelled.
“You didn’t have to if you were so confident in your relationship with Tom.” She spat back.
“I love Tom with all my heart, but I was referring my best friend. I never want to see you again.” Y/N states, emotionless. No one had ever seen Y/N like this. In fact no one had ever seen her mad as she was on this very day. The day she lost her best friend.
Y/N went to her room to quickly gather her belongings, stuffing them back in the bag. Her phone was ringing and she didnt hesitate to pick it up.
“Tom...” she answers, holding back her sobs.

          Getting to know you
While a certain member of the Seven entertained violent thoughts at the upper levels, Sarah sat at her desk filing papers. To be honest, she was studying more than she was doing her job, but there wasn’t much of a workload anyway. Keeping her textbook laid flat against her knees, she quickly went through the lines of text before typing away at her computer for a few minutes.
Martha was perched on her desk reading through some folders.
“You do know you’re not fooling anyone, right?”
Sarah sighed and finished the paragraph she was reading on molecular recognition.
“I know,” she conceded, before defending herself. “At least I’m doing something constructive.” Her voice dropped to a whisper and shot, “Look at Sierra, over there.”
Her friend moved naturally, looking over at the clock while noticing the young woman taking a string of selfies with her coffee. Martha grimaced, shaking her head.
“No girl, just no.”
“I know.”
“Someone needs to tell her, she won’t stop.”
Sarah laughed, “She’ll learn someday.”
Checking the clock herself, she found herself growing hot. She pressed her sweaty palms into the wood surface of her desk, letting her legs stretch out underneath it. Her fingers twitched slightly, and she masked her unease by bringing her hand back to her mouse, clicking away at the screen.
“Hey, are you okay?”
Sarah made a noncommittal sound, not letting her eyes move away from the screen in front of her.
“You look...” Martha trailed off before finding the right word, “squeamish.”
“Well that sounds lovely. Just what I like to hear.”
Martha sighed, her eyes narrowing at her friend. “You know I worry. You sure everything’s okay?”
The sight of Black Noir occupying her couch was seared into her mind. She could no longer hide. She could only face it and be smart about the information she disclosed.
Her friend was still watching her, and Sarah finally pushed away from the desk.
She pushed her glasses back up and, pinching the bridge of her nose, she bowed her head down.
With her hair falling around her face in soft curls, she murmured, “I’ve made a contact.”
Martha immediately put her papers down and turned to fully face her. “What do you mean?”
“Someone reached out. It’s dangerous, but it could be very rewarding.”
“Who is it?”
Sarah looked around and brought her hands back to the keyboard.
“I really can’t say.”
At Martha’s pointed look, she further explained. “I really can’t tell you. It’s someone—,” she wasn’t sure how she could describe Black Noir without giving it away. “It’s just someone really high up. Lots of info.”
“Oh my gosh, it’s B.N. isn’t it? You said he made contact.”
Sarah shrugged. “Maybe.”
Martha stared at her for a few moments before accepting her friend’s silence.
“Just be careful, okay?”
Sarah nodded, “You know I am.”
Her friend shook her head. “I know you are, but we’re getting closer. Things could get hot.”
The room grew even louder and more boisterous as lunch time rolled around. Sarah proceeded to close the files she’d been working on.
“Oh, and you’ll have to tell me all the deets, understood?”
The young woman laughed, wondering deep down if she’d be able to tell her anything at all. The dead don’t speak.
“I’m ready for lunch, let’s go find Annika.”
.
The hours after lunch were spent worrying and suffocating that same preoccupation with fool-proof schemes. It was an endless cycle, really. Every time she found a flaw in her set of questions, it sent her spiraling into self-doubt. Could she truly pull this off?
She was more and more convinced that he hadn’t been sent by Vought, simply because he was a trained assassin who didn’t need these long and ambiguous methods to extract the information he needed. He was more than capable of inflicting mind-blowing amounts of pain. And pain always loosened the tongue.
So maybe he wasn’t doing this for Vought. Maybe his fixation and stalkerish tendencies towards her could be chalked up as misguided and genuine. In that case, he was still a dangerous wild card since she wasn’t who he thought she was. If he’s truly loyal to the company, her identity might prove to be an issue.
And so, it went on and on. She went through potential questions she could ask, and questions she should steer clear of. She recalled all the tips and tricks Mallory had taught her, from the phrasing of the questions, to the body language she should maintain. The goal was to ask a series of common questions and sparsely slip an inquisitive one into the mix. But would this work on him?
She’d have to work much slower to access some, if any, information.
Most of all, she was afraid of her body giving her away: her fast heartbeat and shallow breathing, paired with the subtle interrogation could give it all away. And this terrified her.
Sarah watched the clock tick closer and closer to five o’clock with increasing dread.
When it arrived, she waved over to Martha, gathered her things and walked out the door with as much confidence as physically possible.
.
In his living quarters, Black Noir stood in front of a mirror. He remembered Sarah’s reaction. The woman apparently concealed it well, but he’d caught onto her fear, her state of agitation and turmoil. Was it because of his dark appearance, or was it something deeper, a reaction to the violence he represented? He tilted his head to the side. Or did it have to do with her file, something she’s hiding?
The tall man couldn’t think of any way to convince her of his good intentions towards her. All he could do was respect her boundaries and listen to her; hope she’d accept him.
He usually avoided the mirror in his room, not really needing it for any aesthetic reason. He wore the same armored suit every day and was almost always covered from head to toe in tough black material. And yet now, he stood tall in front of it and took in the sight. He was closed-off, impenetrable, dangerous and stealthy. He appreciated the simplicity of the reinforced suit. It wasn’t flashy like the ones his teammates wore. And it didn’t convey any light-hearted or patriotic meaning. It was functional and allowed him to blend into the shadows and kill. His skull-like mask was the last thing many men saw before he proceeded in tearing them apart. Seeing it in daylight had nothing on witnessing it come out of the shadows at night. Like a nightmare taking form right before their eyes.
And now Sarah had witnessed a small violence on his part, the skull he hid behind and the strength he possessed. It was perfectly normal for her to be afraid.
But the knife, a small part of him reminded. Yes, that was a puzzle piece that didn’t quite fit. But he’d take his time, god knows he could be patient. Especially if it was for her. The mysterious Sarah Burns.
.
As eight o ‘clock crept closer, Sarah could be found in her kitchen, finishing up her dinner. The creamy pasta she’d made sat heavy in her stomach, the knowledge of her impending doom adding an extra ton. After quickly washing the dishes, she sat at the table and scrolled through the memes Martha had sent her. When she realized they revolved around Homelander, she grew interested. There was no way the Seven’s leader would accept this, and the inner conflict it would produce was the perfect cover for her plan to proceed.
Suddenly, the hairs on the back of her neck stood up. Sitting still, she tensed, ready to whip up and out of her chair. A dark clothed hand came up and over her shoulder moving towards her cell phone.
She almost jumped out of her skin as her mind thought of the worst possible outcome of having his hand so close to her neck. And yet, he simply leaned over and promptly pressed the heart icon below one of the memes. He liked the meme.
Sarah opened her mouth to speak and closed it a few times. He finally retreated from his spot hovering over her and went to stand at a respectful distance, his back to the wall.
She spun around and stood up, her heart still clogging her throat.
“Jesus Christ,” she hissed, eyes wide and a hand raised to her chest.
He simply watched her with that magnetic gaze she couldn’t seem to escape. She picked at the hem of her shirt, not knowing how to proceed. How had he even entered the house?
His gaze settled on the small notebook she’d left on the table for their upcoming meeting. He moved slowly and gave her wide birth as he took it up into his hands. He flipped to a blank page and wrote.
Are you afraid, he paused before adding, of me?
He passed the notebook to her. She took it hesitantly, and once she read his message, her eyes kept flicking from the page to his mask. You could snap me like a twig. She was indeed very much afraid.
“No,” she answered, with a slight shake of her head.
He tilted his head slightly to the left before raising his hand to his chest. He lightly tapped right over his heart. Sarah initially didn’t understand the meaning of the gesture, but soon realized he was referring to her heartbeat.
She brushed it aside, “Oh...” You probably have a dozen different instruments of death concealed in your suit. “That’s nothing, I’m just jumpy, I guess.”
She hummed, looking for a way to grow her confidence and gain control of the situation.
“Plus, you kind of came out of nowhere. In my house.”
He was still, unsure of how his sudden appearance would pan out. He almost wanted to hit himself for not thinking it through.
“How did you even get in here? I know everything was locked.”
He shrugged, almost imperceptibly, before offering his hand. She passed him the notebook and pen.
Trade secret. If I told you, I’d have to kill you :)
Her heart almost stopped cold before she regained composure. If it weren’t for the smiley face he’d added towards the end, she might have died right then and there. And she laughed, she actually laughed. Maybe it was the tension, or the insane fact that Black Noir was in her home, attempting to crack a joke.
“I guess I don’t really need to know,” she surmised with a small smile.
He nodded before adding more to the page.
Your day?
“How was my day?
He nodded, captivated by the fluid movements her hands naturally made as she spoke. He’d noticed it immediately the first night he’d seen her at the gala. Over the next week of watching her, he’d quickly filed it as one of her mannerisms.
“I can’t complain. Honestly, I don’t really like that job, it’s more something to keep the bills payed until I get the position I want.”
He wrote, PhD student. Applied Physiology
“That’s correct,” she confirmed. “Why am I not surprised you know that?”
I know some things. Not everything.
He wanted to apologize for making her uncomfortable but ultimately found it too difficult to actually write down. He wasn’t accustomed to apologizing; he’d never actually needed to. Not out loud, or on paper.
She accepted the quiet confession. “That’s okay. I’m not all that interesting, and there’s nothing to hide.”
They both knew it was a lie, but Black Noir understood her need to protect herself. She’d share the truth with him once he’d won her trust.
“How was your day?”
He straightened and thought of how to approach this question. Thinking on his toes, he went with the easiest, most believable story.
Meetings, promotional event. He added for emphasis. Boring. I slept.
There was no way he could tell her he’d spent most of the day fantasizing her ex-boyfriend’s murder, only to have it executed a few hours ago.
She laughed lightly, “Who knew, I thought you’d be off on some top-secret mission.”
Her hopes were crushed when he answered with a simple shake of the head. She hummed. He leaned against the wall, ever observant of the woman facing him.
“Oh, you can sit. Here let me—”
She got up to pull a chair out for him, but he stopped her with a raised hand. He crossed over to her side of the table and angled the chair she’d been previously occupying before abruptly standing and knocking it out of the way. She slowly sat and let him push her in. He calmly took a seat in front of her.
“Thank you”
I have manners :)
She nodded, “Yes, you do.”
She squirmed under his stare, under the black mask she was starting to grow accustomed to.
Sarah broke the silence, “I wanted to thank you for the other day. I could’ve handled it, but I’m glad you intervened.”
He watched her and she continued, “It was a bad relationship, and seeing him really threw me off balance. Then you showed up, and I was just…,” she trailed off.
He reached out and briefly touched her hand before sharply retrieving it. It was what he’d seen other people do in society, or in the movies he watched in the privacy of his living quarters. As he understood, it was meant as a way to show affection and give comfort. But were they at a stage where he could do that? He honestly didn’t know.
He jotted down a line, I understand
“And thank you for the gifts, I mean, the flowers and the earrings—they’re all so beautiful but you really don’t have to go through all that trouble.”
I want to
She smiled reading the words. She leaned back in her chair and took him all in. Who was this man? The Black Noir she’d gathered intel on for Mallory was nothing like the man sitting in front of her. Well, maybe that was extreme, she had seen proof of his deadly work. And yet, she was not seeing the ferocious, sinister monster she’d come to imagine over the years.
He was a more complex sort of enigma, one that was maybe as complicated as her own. While she needed to maintain her guard around him, she found herself slightly relaxing in his presence. There were multiple layers to this man, and maybe she could appeal to the human, well-mannered side of him.
.
They spent the rest of the next hour exchanging questions. They mostly revolved around their likes and dislikes, jumping from books to foods, and finally to movies. She quickly realized he was well cultured on cinema, especially war and action movies which he clearly enjoyed.
“Hmm, how about Tears of the Sun?”
He nodded. A favorite.
“Black Hawk Down?”
The large man nodded with enthusiasm.
“What about Saving Private Ryan.”
He snorted. Don’t insult me
“What’s your favorite movie ever? Like the perfect mix of action, shooting and humor.”
He thought for a few seconds before deciding. Die Hard
When he pushed the notebook towards her for her to read, he emphasized his point by tapping on it and sitting back, arms crossed.
“Well, I like what I see. Yippee kay ye, am I right?” she said with mirth. “Yeah, I think that’s Bruce Willis’s best movie.”
He was glad she liked it as well. Early that morning, he’d made a rapid search on the Internet before having to attend meetings. He searched, “How do you know your first date is going well.” He wasn’t quite sure if it was an official date, but in his mind, it was as close to it as it could get. His search gave a wide range of answers. After reading through a bunch of them, he gathered that for it to go well they needed to click. There had to be a spark, whatever that meant.
More precisely, there had to be common topics, common likes and dislikes. The conversation should come easy, and awkward silences should be avoided at all costs because, while they might not disturb him, they may be uncomfortable for her. And while they’d gotten off to a rough start, things were now going quite smoothly.
Sarah thought long and hard, “What about Pearl Harbor? It isn’t as action-packed but it’s still a really good historical war movie.”
No
She nodded, and shyly added, “Well, if you’d like to, you could come over and watch it. Actually, we could watch Die Hard one time, and Pearl Harbor another.”
He watched her, the way she was so self-conscious. Sarah constantly touched her cheeks, her curly hair, her neck. If only she could see herself the way he saw her.
He wrote. I would like that
Checking her watch, she barely contained a yawn.
“I’m sorry, it’s not you, it’s just late for me,” she assured.
I’ll go
“No, it’s okay, really.”
He shook his head. I don’t need sleep. You do
I’ll be back for those movies
Sarah smiled, “All right.”
Black Noir rose to his full height and she watched him with a twinge of fascination. Who even was this man?
When can I see you
“Well, tomorrow night I’m going out with my friend, but we can definitely schedule Die Hard for the night after. Eight pm?”
I’ll be here.
She walked him to the door and leaned against the wood. The doorway seemed smaller as he walked through. He clicked the switch turning her porch lights out and quickly jotted a few lines down.
Turn them on when I leave. Safer
She nodded with a small smile. How could someone as dangerous as him be so concerned with her well-being, she didn’t know, but she found herself liking it regardless.
He quickly scribbled something down before shutting the notebook and handing it back over.
Facing her, he raised a hand as if he were about to wave. His hand twisted into a thumbs up before he took his leave. Walking away, he crossed under a single streetlight before disappearing into an alley.
She stayed there for a few more seconds, just peering into the darkness. Heeding his advice, she shut the door and switched the porch lights back on. Retreating further into her home, she flipped through the pages looking for his last note. It was a small smiley face he’d doodled on the edge of the page.
She steeled herself against feeling anything but contempt. She reminded herself of the danger he could pose to her. But as much as she wanted to suppress it, she couldn’t help the small smile on her face as she fell asleep.

Your heart races as you stand parallel to the walls, head down and eyes trained on the floor.
Peggy’s daily inspections have always terrified you, made you want to crawl in a hole and hide there for the rest of eternity. Even when everything went well (which it often did – you are nothing if not detail oriented), the very thought of the woman finding a vase out of place or a painting crooked or an unfluffed pillow made your legs tremble.
Unable to see her, you pray your peripheral vision and hearing can pick up on the cues you need to feel safe. A small sigh of happiness, smooth movements from key points of interest to another – all signs that she would reward you with sleeping at her feet instead of in the cage, eating from her hand instead of the bowl she had your name engraved into, letting you pick what toy she used to fuck you with.
But those dreams were crushed when you heard the disapproving mmm that always signals your downfall. Without looking at her, you can picture one of Peggy’s perfectly sculpted brows raised, eyes unamused and dark, painted lips pulled into a tight line.
“What is this?” Peggy snaps, grabbing your chin with one hand and wrenching your face upwards. There, millimeters from your eyes, is the pad of the forefinger on the hand not digging into the soft skin of your face. There, in the center of said pad of the forefinger not digging into the soft skin of your face, is a gathering of dust.
You immediately go to apologize for your mistake. “M-ma’am I’m so-“
“Stop,” Peggy’s words are plain and sharp – a surefire sign of trouble. She holds her hand up flat and sighs as she turns away from you. “You’ve done enough.”
Your pupils go back to tracing the grooves in the wood paneling below your feet, waiting for her next move. As the rules instruct, you follow four feet behind her, waiting for further commands. When Peggy sit herself on the dark velvet couch (the one you freshly vacuumed that morning) with grace and poise, one ankle folded behind the other like always, you follow diligently.
A simple snap catches your attention, your eyes following her perfectly manicured hands as she pants her knee twice.
You do as you’re told without hesitation, laying across her knee with one arm folding behind your back to avoid digging into her stomach while the other reaches down for Peggy’s ankle.
The woman above you tuts as she raises the black skirt, bunching it up in your hand as she traces the lace of the white panties she’d purchased for you.
“Have you ever been spanked, love?” she asks absentmindedly. Goosebumps erupt over the soft skin of your ass and thighs, skin soft and ripe for punishment. “Like really spanked?”
You swallow nervously. That fear from retribution had never been something you’d had the displeasure of experiencing, something that, until now, you’d been thankful for. You’ve always been desperate (and eager) to please, doing as you were told without hesitation or complaint.
Peggy, when she met you at that job fair in your second year of college, picked up on that instantly. It’s one of the many things she loves about you, brags about when her business friends allow their eyes to linger too long when she has the over for dinner.
“She’s so cute,” Carol cooed once as you poured her a second glass of wine. She was tempted to reach up at grope at your tits, but also did not wish to face the wrath of the woman whose house she was invited to.
Natasha and Steve agreed silently, eyeing you as you returned to your spot in the corner of the room. You were in your “business dinner” attire – a small black dress with a thick black collar. You were permitted to wear nothing else but make up sans setting spray (if tears were to well up in your eyes and melt the mascara off your face, Peggy wanted to see).
“She’s as good as she looks,” Peggy smirked between sips of an expensive red – the very same Carol drank down while she eyed you like prey. “Just as perfect as I expect.”
Peggy leaves a light smack over the thin fabric, brining you back to reality. A warning.
“N-no Ma’am,” your voice is small as you speak, and you wish you could shrink to the same size as your words.
Hands rub over your ass, kneading the skin. You feel like a piece of meat, ready to be laid across a grill and devoured by a million hungry mouths. As another light hit is splayed across your backside, you assume the marks from cooking would be less painful than this. Peggy words feel not like fire, but something worse – more targeted.”
“Then this is going to hurt.”
She does not ask if it will hurt, does not inquire if you want to be hurt, does not wonder whether the heated skin will teach you a lesson. Peggy does not ask you a question, therefore you say nothing in return. You just grit your teeth and ball your hands into fists and wait.
It’s a long while before she says another word. Whether the pause was for dramatics or for her to think of how to properly penalize you, you can’t hope to know.
“Take them off,” Peggy snaps the elastic of the underwear against your sensitive skin, causing you to yelp. It takes a long while – given one arm reminds pinned - but eventually you get the flimsy material past your knees. “Good pet.”
You exhale just a little. “T-thank you, Ma’am.”
Another long pause. Had you given her something to consider? Was she weighing your deserving of being laid across her knee in such a manner? Would your slip up go unmentioned in lieu of positive reinforcement?
SMACK!
You yelp as searing pain spreads throughout your muscles.
Apparently not.
“What are you supposed to do?” Peggy nearly yells, voice bellowing.
SMACK!
Your face remains scrunched as you answer. “Anything you ask, Ma’am.”
“And what do I ask?” Her voice is the same volume as before – just as forced and chesty and mean.
You swallow what little spit remains on your tongue. In the back of your mouth, you can taste salty snot as you begin to cry. “You ask that I clean the house, Ma’am.”
Another hit, this time on the opposite cheek.
You can feel her breathing heavily above you, part of her enjoying the rare experience of beating you. “And is that too much for you to handle?”
Images of your training – of being locked in cuffs at your wrists and ankles, of being chained to the bed, of cleaning on your hands and knees. All of it done naked save a collar with long, sharp spikes. If it were assumed you were unable to perform the tasks Peggy expected of you, flashbacks they no longer would be.
Instead, you would be reverted to another reality, one you wish to forget.
“N-no Ma’am! Cleaning the house is not too much for me to handle!” You nearly choke on your own speech, hands clutching to Peggy’s ankle and your skirt for dear life.
All you can hear is her tutting, laying a long serious of hits to your ass as you do your best to remain still. If you fought or struggled, she’d restart the number only she knew, making your chastisement that much longer and harsher.
You expect to feel another hit as silence washes over you – you brace for the impact as her hand pulls back once more. Instead, feather-light fingertips spread over your center, dipping into you just enough to gather the wetness that had formed there.
“You’re soaking my favorite skirt, little pet,” Peggy tsks. She brings the same finger that had barely been inside you to your lips. You clean them without hesitation. The woman above you sighs, disappointed. “If only you could do that to the mantel above my fireplace.”
For a second you want to defend yourself, plead your case to the judge, jury, and executioner who was drawing random patterns into the skin of your thighs. With no request for confession, though, you bite your lip and hope for compassion.
“You know,” Peggy says finally. You can hear the exasperation in her voice, the tiredness you can’t pin down. “I’ve had a simply terrible day at work. I wanted to come home, to a clean home, and use my Pet to relieve some stress. This,” she pats your ass – the light touch making you twitch. “Does not relieve my stress. So, you’re going to put that pretty little mouth on my pussy and eat me out until I tell you to stop. Understood?”
You gulp, whole body sagging nearly instantly. “Yes,” you gasp. “Yes, Ma’am, I understand.”
Without further prompting, you push yourself to the ground, pulling Peggy’s shoes, pantyhose, skirt, underwear from her soft skin. Her cunt, just like yours, is nearly dripping.
Both of Peggy’s hands easily find purchase in your hair as you kiss up her folds, tongue dipping into her as two fingers find their way inside of her. It’s not long before she’s fucking her hips against your face, moaning loudly as you wrap your lips around her clit.
“Fuck!” she moans as she comes, pulling you away after the pleasure becomes overwhelming.
You smile as you watch Peggy pant, makeup still immaculate. “Good, Ma’am?”
She smiles blissfully, moving to cradle your chin with one hand. “Yes, Pet. Very good.”

A/N: Hello there! This is my addition to the One Piece of Summer event! If you want to participate you can check @doctorgerth ‘s blog for more info! I’m actually not sure if this fic is summer-y enough but I really enjoyed writing it! The prompts I used for this piece was Meteor shower and Sunset. Enjoy!
Genre: Fluff with a dash of angst / Romance
Pairing: Sanji x fem!reader
Word Count: 2,034
Song I listened to over and over again is here
Summary: Sanji is a lonely river spirit of the Kohaku river (yes from spirited away. Sue me.) on the night of a meteor shower your paths crosses with each other.
It all started on the day of a meteor shower.
The summer breeze blew at your skirt as you gazed upon the dark sky. You were wandering alone and looking for a nice, quiet spot. Especially a spot far away from teenagers sucking each others faces.
You continued to walk further away from the gathering, your surroundings getting darker by the second, you noticed that you were completely and utterly lost. You sighed. Of course you were lost. Squinting, you scanned the area. There were many bushy trees and daffodils. At the end of everything, you saw one area that was clear of trees and seemed like a good spot to sit and watch the meteor shower. You weren’t going to miss it just because you were lost.
That’s when you met him.
His porcelain skin was shimmering under the starlight. He laid down amidst the daffodils with both arms tucked his head. His blond hair was like gold pouring to the ground. A thin, blue kiseru was placed between his pink lips, he blew out a puff of smoke. His eyes were closed, his long blond lashes kissing his cheeks.
“How long are you going to stare madam?”
Entranced by his beauty you took a step closer. You noticed that he was wearing a light blue button up shirt and black trousers. The first three buttons of his shirt were left open, exposing more of his snow white skin. Your mouth went dry as you stood just an inch away from him. Finally the man slowly opened his eyes and stared back at you with two dark blue orbs.
You raised an eyebrow.
“Your eyebrow is curly?”
The question was more directed to you then to him. A soft smile spread across his face as he blew out another puff of smoke. You noticed that it smelled of vanilla. Before you can examine him further, the man lunged at you and took a hold of your wrist. He pulled you on his lap and panic bubbled up inside of you.
“Stranger danger! STRANGER DANGER!”
You felt the man tense under you as he let go of your wrist. Quickly your crawled away from him and with your chest bobbing up and down, you stared at him with fear. The man grinned sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head.
“Sorry,” he took in a puff of smoke. “It’s just that I haven’t been near a human for so long.”
Your breathing returned to normal as silence, accompanied by the occasional chirping of crickets, filled the atmosphere. You should be running away but you didn’t. The tone in his voice prevented you from leaving him. It was a tone you’ve heard in your own voice many many times.
Sadness.
Pulling your knees towards your chest, you decided to stay with him. Learn more about him.
Wait…
“What do you mean you haven’t been near a human for so long?” you asked, tilting your neck to the side. “Are you… not human?”
“I am a river spirit.” he replied, propping himself on his elbow. “I’m surprised anyone came here. If you went any further other spirits might have gobbled you up.”
You eyes going wide, you let out a soft whine. He chuckled at your fear and waved his hand, trying to dismiss what he had just said.
“Don’t worry, they won’t come near you...now.” as if what he said was completely normal, he gave you a kind smile. “How rude of me, I didn’t introduce myself my name is Sanji. I occupy the Kohaku river.”
“My name is y/n.” you replied promptly. “Also, just for the record, I know you’re lying. There’s no way you’re a spirit.”
“Is that so,” Sanji hummed. “How do you explain this then?”
With a flick of a finger millions of water bubbled appeared before your eyes. They floated as the breeze moved them along. One bubble kissed your nose and popped, the droplets landed on your face.
With parted lips, you stood up, never tearing your gaze off of the blond. He seemed pleased with himself as gazed at you. His blue orbs observing your every reaction. With a sly smirk, he lifted himself up from the ground and walked towards you.
Your breath hitched as he stood an inch away from you, his vanilla scented breath ghosting over your face, he gently placed a hand on your flushed cheek. His thumb slowly caressed your soft skin. You didn’t know what to say or what to do. The only thing you felt was that you were exactly where you had to be at the moment. Meeting him, here, was destiny. You paths were intertwined and from now on neither of you could live a life without one another.
“You’re here to watch the meteor shower aren’t you?” he whispered, softly. “Let’s watch it together.”
And that was you first memory of the lonely river spirit.
                               ╔═══*.·:·.☽✧    ✦    ✧☾.·:·.*═══╗
Days passed and you found yourself visiting Sanji nearly everyday. He would always greet you with a wide grin. Your heart would skip a beat whenever you saw him smile. For the first time in your life you felt loved. Sanji was the only thing in your life that felt worth while. You would see him in the depths of the forest, the same forest that Sanji scared you into believing spirits would gobble you up. Most of the other spirits were quite nice actually.
The only issue was that you had to leave before sunset.
If you stayed even a minute longer you could never return to the human world. When Sanji told you this the first time, you felt that he thought you would leave him and never returned. He had spoken of the rule like it was something to be afraid of. But as long as you were with him you were happy.
The most surprising fact about the spirit was that he absolutely loved to cook. Often the two of you would go on picnics and he would feed you the countless desserts that he made. They would melt in your mouth and most of them made you shamelessly moan.
Everything was amazing. The two of you could talk for hours and the both of you had suffered from loneliness. You never thought that anyone would be able to understand your feelings. Your hardships. And in a way you were right, no human was able to understand you.
Each day leaving before sunset became harder. The days gradually became shorter as it signalled summer ending. It broke your heart. You were tired of returning to an empty home and an empty life. You could never imagine a life without him.
That is until one day you couldn’t find him.
You looked everywhere for him only to finally find him standing at the edge of a river. With a sigh of relief, you quickly made his way towards him. Your eyes scanned the atmosphere only to see that the river was polluted. Loads of plastic bottles and thrash was floating down stream. The your eyes shifted to Sanji. His usually pale skin was covered in dark, purplish marks and blisters. He looked utterly defeated. That’s when you realized what river this was.  The Kohaku river.
His river.
“What happened to you?” you asked, panic bubbling up inside of you.
Sanji slowly turned towards you. It seemed that he had just noticed your presence which was worrying because he would usually be aware of even a butterfly landing on a flower. There were dark bags under his eyes and seemed like he could collapse at any second.
“Ah, hello love.” a somber smile formed on his pale lips. “It seems like today might be out last day.”
Your stomach clenched and you could hear your heart pounding in your ears.
“What do you mean by that?” you asked you voice sounded as it belonged to a stranger.
Sanji sighed and looked back at the river.
“My well being is directly linked to the river. Humans,” he clenched his teeth. “They polluted it so much that I can’t purify it anymore.”
A knot formed in your throat. Tears threatening to fall, your eyes shift between the river and Sanji. You bit your bottom lip as you let out a sniffle. With a shocked expression Sanji gaze landed back on you. His eyes skimmed your features before extending his arm and pulling you into a tight embrace.
“Don’t worry,” he whispered. “The time I got to spend with you made my unbearable life worth living.”
Your face buried in his chest, tears stung the corner of your eyes. At the same time your mind was racing, because you didn’t want to lose him. You couldn’t. Not after everything you’ve been through.
With a sudden realization, you tore your face away from his chest and looked up to him. Much to your surprise he was already staring at you.
“What if,” you began, uncertainty embedded in your voice. “We clean the river?”
“Usually that would work, but I don’t have enough strength to-”
“I’ll do it!” you exclaimed. “If it can work. I’ll do it.”
An expression of shock ghosted over his face before giving you a tired smile. He closed his eyes and placed his lips on your forehead. He gave it a soft peck before speaking.
“Promise me you’ll return until sunset.” his cold lips moved against your burning skin. “I’ll lose consciousness soon.”
Before you can say anything, Sanji’s head fell on to your shoulders and you barely were able to hold him up before he hit the ground. Careful not to drop him, you gently laid him on the grass. The summer wind ruffled your hair as you stared at the lake with determination.
There was no way you were going to let it end like this.
                                ╔═══*.·:·.☽✧    ✦    ✧☾.·:·.*═══╗
You kneeled next to Sanji with the last thrashbag in your hand. You were sweaty, wet and honestly your muscles ached. But you were pleased with the results. You glanced at the river. You’ve managed to collect every plastic bottle and thrash that was swimming in it. Now the river was sparkling with the faint light of the sun.
But the fact that Sanji was still unconscious worried you. All the bruises and blisters had cleared up from his skin. The bags under his eyes were gone.  He seemed more sound asleep then unconscious. Your heart tightened. What if he didn’t wake up? What would you do then?
The warmth of the sun kissed your skin, alarming you the concept of time. The area you were in was bathed in orange sunlight. You knew what that meant. You needed to leave.
You took in a sharp breath and took a hold of Sanji’s hand, lifting it up to your lips, you gave the lifeless limb a kiss. A smile tugged at your lips.
“Don’t worry I’m not going to leave you.”
Sanji doesn’t wake up until your surrounding are completely engulfed in darkness. The only light source being the stars above. You felt Sanji’s thumb stroking your hand as he woke up. A wide grin spread across your face when you heard him cough. He propped himself on his elbows.
“I thought you promised me you would leave before sunset.”
Giggling, you threw yourself on him and wrapped your arms around his neck. His hand came around your waist as you smooshed your cheeks together.
“Technically,” you said, you voice low. “I never promised.”
Sanji chuckled as he brushed his face against your hair. You pulled back in and placed your hands on his cheeks. He seemed healthier than ever.
“I guess now you’re stuck with me.” you said with a playful smirk.
“Then I guess my luck has finally turned.”
He leaned in and gave you a soft kiss. You practically melted when you felt his warm lips against yours. Feeling overwhelmed, your eyes teared up and he placed two additional kisses on your eyelids.
“Thank you.” he whispered. “Thank you for being in my life, y/n.”

Bark at the Moon, Chapter 8: Local Cryptid
<Previous / Next>
Or read on my Ao3>
Rating, Setting: Gen, Pre-canon
Chapter Warnings: None
Chapter Summary:  A rumor's been spreading in Snowdin...
"I'd dismissed it as gossip myself, but then that Ice Cap said they attacked it," Dogaressa was saying, catching Undyne's attention as she stepped indoors.
"What's going on?"
"Oh! Captain!" Dogamy yelped, and the dogs gathered around the table at Grillby's quickly stood and saluted.
"At ease," she said, and the group collectively wagged their tails as they sat back down. "Really though, what were you talking about before I came in?"
"Some rumor," Doggo replied dismissively. "It's been going around a couple weeks now. Supposedly there's some kind of beast running around attacking people. Some even think it's a human. I don't believe a word though, I haven't seen anything."
"And we haven't smelled anything," Dogamy added, his wife nodding. "It was all just hearsay until two days ago, but everyone's been on edge because of it."
"Two days ago--that's when the Ice Cap saw it?" Undyne surmised, and her crew nodded.
"Did they get a good look at it? If someone's causing trouble--or if it IS a human--we can't let them escape justice. You know the policy."
The dogs exchanged looks.
"Well..." Dogamy started.
"The Ice Cap didn't exactly see what they attacked," Dogaressa said, drumming the table with her claws, her brows furrowed. "All they could say was that it was big and white--frankly, that could be anyone at this table. Or even just a snowbank... The rumors, though..."
"Supposedly," Doggo picked up, "it's some kind of deathly skeletal beast that picks off people who stray too far into the woods to eat their dust. Sounds like something parents would say to scare their kids if you ask me. Uh... that's why we haven't reported it. We were just discussing what to do before you walked in."
"I see." Undyne narrowed her eye. "...Skeletal?"
Doggo shrugged. "Yeah, all made of bones, like the brothers who used to live around here, but no one's actually seen it so who knows... By the way, have you heard from either of them lately? I thought sure Papyrus would be back from vacation by now, and you said Sans was sick... but it's been a real long time..."
Undyne studied her crew's somber faces and made a quick decision. "Papyrus is fine, I've been in contact with him. As for Sans... we don't know where he is--just that he... probably isn't dead. Seems he's taking a vacation of his own."
The table considered her words somberly.
"There's been some speculation that he was one of the beast's first victims," Dogaressa said quietly. "Of course, no one else has disappeared, so it's kind of silly, but... he has been gone for a while, and other people have been attacked."
"It's been a lot more glum without either of 'em runnin' around," Doggo sighed, propping his head on a paw, and Undyne's heart twisted.
"Well, I'll let Papyrus know how much you guys miss him, and... I guess, keep an eye out for Sans--and this so-called beast. If people are getting hurt, we need to bring it--or whoever's behind this--into custody as soon as possible. I'll have more formal orders for you later, but if you'll excuse me, I DID come here to order food."
The dogs nodded and waved her off, and she headed for the counter.
"Hey Grillby, long time no see. Yeah, one order of cheese fries, thanks."
She waited on her food, thoughts buzzing. If the rumor was true, it didn't make any sense. A skeletal beast... she only knew one person who fit that description, and he'd been hanging with her for three weeks now. Her fries were set before her, interrupting her thoughts briefly, but she continued to ponder as she ate. Gossip and rumor wasn't unheard of--it, for better or worse, was a frequent form of entertainment in the Underground. But tales of strange creatures were rare--largely because almost everyone was a strange creature. Was someone trying to play a joke...? Being petty about their neighbor? Or... was there more to it? She needed information.
"Hey, so the rumor that's been going around, the one about the beast," she started, turning to the red bird sitting next to her. "Any idea who started it?"
The bird opened a bleary eye. "No one's entirely sure, Cap'n. Jus', one day it was all the kids could talk about. Think maybe it's some game they're playin'. Right Grilbz?"
The fire elemental paused to nod.
"Hmm. The Guard told me people have been attacked?"
"Sure, and everyone's all jumpy because of that," the bird replied, "but I still think it's the kids, messin' around with their magic. Someone oughta set 'em back on track."
Undyne snorted a laugh. "I get the hint. Still... no one's even seen it, but they're all pretty sure it's not a regular monster, huh?"
The bird thought for a moment. "Guess not. If it's someone new to town, why haven't they introduced themselves? Us Snowdin folks don't bite--the dogs are real good about that."
"I would hope so," Undyne stated, brow raised. "You're right though. If there really is someone out there attacking people, they need to be dealt with. Thanks for the info. Here Grillby, keep the change. Stay safe."
The dogs saluted her as she marched back out; she was really glad she'd decided to treat herself and learned about this situation sooner rather than later. What an odd rumor to start up... Her thoughts still swirled, trying to piece it all together. She was confident no one had seen Papyrus in his current state--but maybe something had gotten past her. If that was the case though, why had the rumors started in Snowdin and not Waterfall? And that relied on the description of the beast being accurate--as far as she knew, no one had actually seen it. It was an odd coincidence--but not enough for proof.
With a scowl deepening on her face, no one dared stop her during her patrol, and by the time she headed off to pick up Papyrus she was ready to punch something. People were getting hurt, and she couldn't understand or figure out why. Maybe it was reckless kids--but whether it was that, some rogue monster, or even a human somehow, they needed to be stopped. And if it was Papyrus at the center of this--then someone needed to be set straight about that too. But without any major leads or evidence, she couldn't take action. There was nothing she could do about it. She hated it.
"Undyne? You look... displeased..." Papyrus noted wincingly as she stormed into his sanctuary, and she checked herself.
"Sorry, uh... bad day at work. Hope things went okay here?"
"Yes! Quiet as usual! Well! Except for when I was practicing my best bone rattles. Would you care for a demonstration?"
Somehow, he was already brightening her mood--she broke into a smile. "Aaaah c'mere, I'll rattle your bones for ya!"
He dodged her lunge with a yelp and took off, and she was happy to chase after him and let off steam until she ran out of breath. Sinking to the cavern floor with a clatter, she laid her legs out in front of her and leaned back on her hands, panting. Papyrus, who had won yet another round, trotted up and turned in place a few times before laying down next to her.
"That should have put some distance between you and your problems," he said, and she laughed breathlessly.
"Oh, my god."
"I'm not wrong." He beamed.
"No," she replied, "no, you aren't. I feel a lot better. Thanks."
"Then I have done my job! Nyeh heh heh!"
"Hey, I saw some people who really miss you today."
"Really?"
"Yeah--I went to Grillby's for lunch and talked to the dogs, they're all still worried about you guys and hope you'll be back soon."
"Aw," Papyrus said, looking flattered. "I still can't believe I have so many fans! I'll have to be sure to say hello when I return--though, not by going to Grillby's. I could smell you coming almost as soon as I could hear you!"
"Hey, I don't smell that bad!"
Papyrus looked like if he'd had a nose, he'd have wrinkled it. "You smell like greasy, sweaty fish and it's a wonder I haven't keeled over."
"Oh my god! I'm gonna push you into the lake!"
"Then I'm taking you with me! You need a bath!"
"Just you try it, bone boy! NGAAAAAHHH!"
Undyne was up and chasing him again in a flash--and between her own single-mindedness and some clever moves on Papyrus' part she did end up careening into the lake. Armor sopping, she hauled herself up laughing, and had to take a moment to lean with hands on her knees. Papyrus watched her happily, tail waving in a motion that wasn't quite wagging but seemed to mean the same thing.
"Alright, I've had enough fooling around for now. Ready to head home?"
"Yeah! I think I'd like to try those clothes you talked about tonight."
"Awesome! Yeah, Alphys helped me pick some stuff out, she knows what dealing with a tail is like and had some great suggestions. I think you're really gonna like 'em!"
Papyrus bounced in place, then darted off to collect his things. Undyne was extra vigilant as they headed back; she scouted ahead to make sure the coast was clear, ears pricked and eye darting at every sound and motion they encountered. Escort missions were always a bother, but if her friend was being targeted by awful rumors... She wasn't taking any chances.
They got back to her house without incident, but Undyne had made a decision. She'd considered leaving the strange sightings to the Snowdin unit until further notice, certain they could handle it. But the more she'd thought about it, the more she was certain someone had seen Papyrus. Considering it was her duty to protect him while he tried to regain his other form, she owed it to him to track down whoever had started the rumor and get to the bottom of this personally. He was getting more comfortable with himself every day--he hadn't slipped in over a week--and she wouldn't let his own hometown ruin that for him. They spent the evening laughing, wrestling, and relaxing as they always did, but all the while, Undyne had her mind set on her goal.
It was only a few days later that she heard from the Snowdin dogs that word had spread of residents hearing eerie howls. According to witnesses, these cries came from deep within Snowdin Forest late at night, well after most monsters had gone to bed. But despite being the usual suspects, the calls were not coming from the dogs themselves--they didn't sound right. No one quite knew how to describe what they'd heard, but they all knew how it had made them feel: terrified.
All this had been charted in a brief report. Undyne looked it over again, shaking her head. She'd thought the beast rumor had been based on a sighting of Papyrus, but there was no way he was responsible for these howls. He'd have to be sneaking out every night while she was asleep... which, she supposed was possible. She wasn't sure he slept...? But, she was sure he wouldn't risk the whole trek to and from Snowdin every night, and she knew he'd never hurt anyone. He liked fighting, but... this wasn't his style at all. She had no reason to doubt him.
Undyne glared at the report and growled under her breath. Was the rumor and the howling even connected? The story had started up well before any strange noises... it didn't add up. None of this made sense and it was making her brain hurt. She slipped the note into the rest of the paperwork she'd put together so far, then left the small archive feeling antsy. It wasn't often a full report had to be filled out--most incidents were small and easily resolved, but this one... people had been hurt. Someone had to face justice for that, whether the beast was real or not.
And then, only a few days after the howling had begun, someone pounded on her door in the middle of the night. She ushered Papyrus into her room--a rare allowance--and answered to find the Dogi and Grillby decked out in a plastic poncho, wading boots, and an umbrella. His normally reserved expression seemed alarmed, and Undyne wasn't sure if it was because of a trek through hostile territory, or why he was here to begin with.
"What's happened?" she said quickly, and the Dogi saluted.
"Captain! We apologize for waking you, but this was urgent. The beast is real--Grillby saw it!" Dogamy replied, and his wife nodded.
"Grillby, please describe what you saw to Captain Undyne."
Her understanding of Hands was rusty, but Undyne did her best to follow the bartender as he explained. He'd just turned in for the night after closing, and hadn't been in bed long when a noise disturbed him. He got up to investigate, and found something digging in the restaurant trash.
At this point, he paused, looking unsure of himself.
"Go on," Undyne encouraged, and he rubbed the back of his neck before continuing.
He'd turned up his light, and seen it really was skeletal just like the rumor had said (and with Sans being his best customer, he knew a skeleton when he saw one). But the creature had noticed him as well, and he took no chances and cast a burst of flame at it. It darted off faster than he thought a creature of that size could move, and just like that, it was gone. He'd secured his trash, then found the Dogi as quickly as he could to give them his report and evidence. They'd made the decision to go to Waterfall from there.
Undyne considered all this carefully. "Thank you, Grillby. Whatever this thing is, it seems like it's getting bolder. We might have to put a curfew in place until we can catch it--for now, advise people to put their trash indoors and keep an eye out. Did you smell anything unusual on the evidence?"
Dogamy shook his head. "It just smelled like snow--and Grillby's--and maybe something else we couldn't identify. Not good enough to track. But here, you can have it for the file."
He handed her a small plastic baggie with a few torn-up napkins and a burger wrapper with holes punched in it--a bite pattern. She eyed it skeptically, but took it and set it on the table. "Thanks. You guys get some rest, call me if anything else happens. We'll continue the investigation tomorrow. Dismissed."
The Dogi saluted, and Grillby gave an awkward bow before they left. Undyne waited until they were well out of earshot.
"Okay Papyrus, you can come out. They're gone."
The door creaked, and he slowly crept out. "Is everything alright? What happened?"
She smiled at him. "Everything's fine! Just a small investigation that's ongoing, nothing you need to worry about."
"Oh, I'm not worried--I want to help! If. If I can. If that is a thing I can do. Which it almost definitely is."
Undyne shook her head. "No Papyrus. The Guard is handling this. Your assignment is staying safe while you try to get your regular body back."
Papyrus looked hurt. "You think I can't keep myself safe? You complimented my bullet patterns just last week--"
"I know!" Undyne snapped. "Your magic is great, but--"
"But what?"
She grit her teeth, rubbing her face. "... We're still trying to figure out what's going on, and everyone's on high alert for anything strange. Even Grillby... I don't want you getting hurt because someone made a mistake. I'll bring you in when I think the time is right, but until then, you have to stay hidden, and no investigating on your own. Promise?"
Papyrus studied her for a bit, and closed his eyes. "... I promise, Undyne."
She breathed a sigh. "Alright. And I'm SERIOUS! No sneaking out!"
He jumped, then nodded quickly. "I'm sure if I did not get in trouble out there, I would be in a definite quantity of trouble with you, and that is the opposite of a calming thought. So. I'll just wait here! You can count on me!"
Undyne smiled. "Good. I'm gonna go back to bed so I'm ready for tomorrow. You should try and rest too."
"I will. Goodnight, Undyne."
"G'night."
Undyne turned back to her bedroom. With all this new information, falling asleep would he hard... But it was better if she faced this with a clear head.
Because the only thought she'd had that seemed to make any sense was that this creature was Sans, and that couldn't be right. She'd never admit to Papyrus, but she was starting to doubt he was even alive at this point... and they'd both told her this shapeshifting thing was unique to Papyrus. But Undyne didn't know of any other skeletons...
Even if it was Sans somehow, she couldn't let Papyrus go charging in, not when he matched the description of the creature everyone was either attacking or had orders to capture. Until she knew more, she couldn't let him get involved. She settled into bed, one thought clear above the others.
No matter who or what this creature was, it wouldn't escape.

In a long skirt and holding a water bottle in place of flowers, you slowly made your way across the lawn to the patio on which you’d be married the next day. It was your dress rehearsal and you were trying not to panic. The strains of music drifted to you on the breeze, sounding rather melancholy. You weren’t sure why it sounded that way, since you’d chosen a fairly joyous piece to be played for your processional. But still, you couldn’t help thinking that it was wrong.
The arch of flowers and the rows of chairs set out on the lawn came into view, your soon-to-be husband standing under the arch. He was beaming, as if it were already your wedding day and you’d actually be married in a matter of minutes. As you made your way closer, you looked at the path of river rocks that had been laid down to lead to the patio. You didn’t even like river rocks. Brow slightly furrowed, you looked at the flowers festooning the golden chairs and the archway. Why had you picked that shade of blue and that shade of pink? What were you thinking? And, gold? The musicians huddled off to the side were surrounded by vases of the same garish flowers—you wondered how they could even play. You decided just to look at the arch and your fiancé.
His smile seemed too sweet, as if it took some effort for him to display it. You had to look away as your stomach knotted. It was just pre-wedding nerves—everyone felt like this, right? Squaring your shoulders, you continued down the path and went through the motions of the marriage. The officiant seemed to sense your discomfort and hurried the pantomime along. And then, there was nothing left to do but wait for the next day, for the first day of the rest of your life, as your grandmother said.

Your best friends had just finished lacing you into your wedding dress, which was far puffier and lacier than you’d ever expected to find yourself in. That, you supposed, was what happened when you let your (almost) mother-in-law pick out your dress. It was a beautiful dress, that was true, but it wasn’t you.
After a bit, you couldn’t stand being surrounded by your bridesmaids anymore. “Lovelies, I’m sorry. I promise it’s just that I need some air, but could you please just let me have maybe fifteen minutes to myself?” you asked, trying not to sound desperate. You friends nodded, and your maid of honor quickly ushered everyone out.
You stood in front of the mirror, inspecting every inch of yourself and wondering what you were doing. A moment later, a knock on the door made you start, wondering who’d be interrupting the oh-so-sacred bride’s time before the wedding.
“Come in,” you called, and turned to the door.
Jisung quickly slipped into the room, looking back over his shoulder to check that no one had seen him. He was usually confident as anything, so it was odd to see him like this. Then again, he was practically sneaking into, for lack of a better phrase, your dressing room on your wedding day.
“Hey, Y/N— Wow, you look incredible,” he said, stopping for a moment before walking purposefully toward you.
The two of you met in the middle of the room amid the scattered dress bags, clothes, and makeup. You threw your arms around Jisung, resting your head on his chest. His arms went around you automatically, as if that’s all they were ever made to do.
“Jisung, what are you doing here?” you breathed, feeling tears prick your eyes, and clutched him tighter.
“Don’t worry about it. What’s wrong?” Jisung asked, his voice soft. He carefully stroked your hair, then cupped your neck and massaged it lightly.
You shook your head, unable to answer; you sniffed and buried your head even closer to Jisung’s chest. Knowing you’d need a minute, Jisung just held you until you could bring yourself to speak.
“Ji, I can’t do it. I don’t know why but I can’t,” you whispered.
“Did he hurt you?” Jisung said, his voice hard as he held your shoulders to look at you. “I’m gonna kill him if he hurt you.”
You looked up into the face of your oldest friend. “Ji, you don’t have to do that. No, he didn’t hurt me. But, there’ve been times that I wondered if he would—only in really bad fights, though.” You sucked in a breath, nervous now that you’d admitted that.
Jisung cupped your face in his hands and swiped his thumbs over your cheeks to catch your tears. “Are you having second thoughts, then?”
“I don’t know,” you said. “His family’s been so good to me, and we’ve had plenty of good times. It’s just, recently, I haven’t felt right, you know? I don’t know what’s wrong but I just know it is.”
Jisung nodded, his eyes searching your face. You leaned forward and rested your forehead on his collarbone, enjoying the fact that he still hadn’t let you go.
“Come away with me.”
You didn’t move. Had Jisung just said that?
“Come run away with me, Y/N,” Jisung repeated, bowing his head to murmur in your ear. “It’ll be just the two of us. We can go right now and you don’t have to marry him.”
You tried to steady your breathing, but your heart was pounding too fast. “Do you really mean it, Ji?” you asked, not daring to believe you now had a way out. Yes, everyone would be shocked and your future in-laws would be mortified, but you didn’t give a fuck. Not anymore. Jisung, your Jisung, was offering to run away with you, to take you away from the mundane trance that had become your life.
“Of course. I do.” He laughed. “Well, I guess that could be the same ‘I do’ that you were about to say, but you know what I mean.”
You stared at him, starting to giggle. “Did you just propose to me on my wedding day, Han Jisung?”
Silence.
“Ji?”
“Yeah, I guess I did,” Jisung said self-consciously. “But, would you, though?”
“I think I would, Jisung,” you said, feeling more certain about the last two minutes with Jisung than you’d felt about the last two years with your now ex-fiancé.
Jisung hugged you tightly, kissing the top of your head, then said, “Let’s get you out of that dress, then.”
Incredulity painted itself across your face as you leaned back and looked up at Jisung. “Damn, Ji, you’re trying to get me out of my clothes already?”
“No, no, no! I just meant for you to change. It’ll be difficult for us to run away with you conspicuously in a wedding dress.” Jisung said quickly.
“You really mean it, don’t you,” you said in wonder. “You’d run away with me.”
“Yeah, why would I lie?”
“I didn’t think you actually had a plan for us to just leave.”
Jisung brushed one last remnant of your tears from your face, tucking a loose hair back into place. “Honey, I’ve had a plan to spirit you away since I found out you were engaged. My car’s out back—we can stop at your place for you to get some things and then head out of town.”
“We should leave a note, though,” you said, remembering that people might wonder where you’d gone. You disengaged yourself from Jisung, and started rummaging in a pocket of your bag. “Hah! Got it,” you said as you produced a pen and a small notepad. “Jisung, can you write something while I change?”
Jisung took the notepad with a grin, then shooed you behind the changing screen that stood in a corner.
A few minutes later, you came out dressed in blue jeans and a t-shirt, and feeling far more comfortable. Jisung looked at you in awe, a soft smile playing about his lips—you were the most beautiful he’d ever seen you.
Going to stand by Jisung at the desk under the window, you said, “Can I see the note? I just realized he’ll know it’s not me by the hand—”
He just showed you the note.
Y/N and I have run away together. So fuck off forever, you absolute bastard. Love, Han Jisung
“Well, that’ll certainly do the trick,” you said, kissing Jisung’s cheek. “I’ve got my bag. Let’s go!”
Jisung took your hand as you left the room, leaving your wedding dress flung unceremoniously over a chair in the corner. The drive to your apartment was fast, and you gathered some of your belongings even faster. As you flung things into the backseat of Jisung’s car, you had to laugh—he already had several bags of his own there. This was it—you were getting out and it was all going to be okay.
You hopped into the front seat, buckled yourself in, and looked over at Jisung. He was watching you with the sweetest look on his face, as if all his dreams had come true. You reached out, caressing his cheek, and he leaned into your touch.
“Ready?” you said brightly.
“Always have been,” Jisung said, and took your hand. He kissed your palm before resting your clasped hands in his lap.
As you made your way out onto the highway, Jisung rolled down the windows and suddenly everything was wind, clear air, and, well, Jisung. You beamed, looking over at him, and knew that you’d made the right choice. You were supposed to be here with Jisung, driving off into the sunset.
