There's been a bunch of horrific allegations against him, including grooming and sex with a 14yo and taking out federation money to rent an apartment in Montreal's red light district (you can use your imagination about what it was used for). Apparently it's been known for over a year in China and someone hacked his accounts recently to provide proof. It's all pretty damning. Allegedly the federation has been pulling him from competitions because of this, it wasn't injuries. He's allegedly in deep trouble with the government over there.
you don't want to know. it's pretty grim
not sure if you’ve already gotten answers about it, but I would imagine the negativity is about this https://x.com/delayed3a/status/1759781764397207881?s=46&t=WIhc6WatFlSZidUnRWyOCw
Regarding Xinyu Liu https://x.com/the_rinkreport/status/1759798025390621111?s=46&t=MjpXUom-xZyjrAVX8BuTSA
Wang/Liu also skated at Shanghai Trophy last fall, and last seen competing at the national winter games in China over a week ago, that was when the scandal finally broke out, here’s a Reddit summary post, i first heard some of these back in 2022, then again when they withdrew from 4cc last year apparently the girl he has abused at the time ended up in the hospital
Thanks everyone who reached out and explained, this is horrible and at the same time also super weird (some things like the drug accusations make little sense considering he is subjected to drug tests very often)? Not sure what to think tbh.

Just wanted to fact check if you or any of your followers happened to know the answer! So while it has been confirmed that GG and DD had each other added on Weibo prior to filming, is there any confirmation that DD had added any other X Nine members added at the same time? Or was it only XZ? I think that would be very telling 👀
Hi, Anon, there’s a lot of info here so I’ve put it under a cut.
First of all, are you talking about Weibo or Wechat? There are many rumors about GG and DD becoming connected on WeChat right after the XNINE DDU episode in 2017 - long before filming. I wrote about that a while back.
In terms of Weibo, he started following GG in April 2018, around the same time he began following other CQL actors at the beginning of filming. He does follow one other XNINE member, Yan Xujia, but as far as I can tell he didn’t start following him until 2019.
But you did make me curious to see who all DD follows on Weibo. Complete list follows.
DISCLAIMER: this is a very rough list. I’ve pulled together little tidbits of information about each person and their connection to DD, and anything I personally remember about some of them, but it’s just a casual list and not by any means a definitive reference for all these relationships. If anyone has additional information that might help clarify the relationships on this list, let me know.

2020 Cup of China Preview
Cup of China is this weekend, from November 6 – 8, and is the second Grand Prix of the season with the cancellation of Skate Canada. It’s the smallest of the four remaining events. Like Skate America, there’s obvious winners in all four disciplines here at the Cup of China. Let’s get to it.
Men
The winner in the Men’s event should be Boyang Jin. The highest technical content in the field by a long mile. His component scores won’t be as high as Han Yan, but clean, he can be very good. He hasn’t been quite as consistent lately. The key for him will be to keep the mistakes to a minimum. He can afford some minor ones, but he can’t afford too many.
This makes the obvious silver medalist to be Han Yan. He is the only one here with any shot of challenging Jin for Gold. The key for him will be being clean – he can’t afford any mistakes, especially without a Quad. He has done a Quad Toe in the past, but did not do them last season. (He was coming from injury.)
The bronze medalist at this event will be He Zhang, who has been solidly third in China behind Yan and Jin. He had a personal best score here last year.
Fourth here should be Yudong Chen, who competed on the JGP last year. I don’t see him challenging for bronze here, though, unless Zhang makes a few mistakes, but I don’t see that happening.
The last two skaters are Zhimeng Peng and Juwen Xu. Xu outscored Peng at Nationals last year by about seventeen points.
Ladies
Hongyi Chen is the obvious winner here. She’s been China’s top Senior Lady for a couple of seasons now, and she definitely is among the ladies here.
The rest of the ladies are of no challenge to her. There’s Angel Li, a former US skater who was second at last year’s China Youth Games. There’s Minzhi Jin, who was eleventh at Chinese Nationals last year, and Lu Zheng who was tenth. The last skater is Siyang Zhang, who was seventeenth at the 2019 Chinese Nationals.
I don’t know enough to really make an informed decision, but based on what little I know, I’d rank Li second, then Zheng, Jin, and Zhang.
Pairs
There’s only three pairs in the competition after two withdrawals.
The obvious winners are Cheng Peng and Yang Jin, who are one of the best in the world. Up and coming Junior Grand Prix competitors Yuchen Wang and Yihang Huang should be a very solid second here, followed by Daizifei Zhu and Yuhang Liu.
Ice Dance
The obvious winners in this event are Shiyue Wang and Xinyu Liu, who have been rising in the Ice Dance World over the past couple of seasons, and are by far the best in China. The silver medalists should easily be Hong Chen and Zhouming Sun, two-time Chinese Silver Medalists, who were also tenth at Four Continents last year. The bronze medalist in the event should be Wanqi Ning and Chao Wang, three-time Chinese Bronze Medalists, who were twelfth at Four Continents.
The fourth place finishers should be Yuzhu Guo and Pengkun Zhao. They are the 2017 Chinese National Bronze medalists, who have been fourth at Nationals the past three years. They were ninth at the Cup of China last year. The last team is Yu Lifei and Zijan Gao, the Chinese Junior Silver Medalists who competed at a Junior Grand Prix event last year.

Wang Shiyue & Liu Xinyu: Post-Rhythm Dance Interview, 2019 Chinese Nationals
Interview by 花滑小报
Interviewer: We can see from the new program (RD) that you’re trying a new style? Wang: Yeah, it’s kind of a comedy-themed RD, with a little humor. Liu: It’s our first time skating to this type of music Wang: He didn’t like it at first. Liu: Yeah, at first, I didn’t think this style would suit us, but it turns out that I feel pretty delighted when skating this program.
(About the new RD) Liu: We are skating to “Chaplin” this season. Wang: In this program, we are both taking part in a Chaplin lookalike contest to win the grand prize. At first, we’re competing against each other, and we both want to prize as individuals. Liu: Yeah, to show the best version of ourselves as an individual. Wang: But later, we realize that it would be more efficient to win the prize if we cooperate with each other. So, we end up performing together.
Interviewer: The new GP season will soon begin. Do you have new plans, new goals for this season? Wang: We set a long-term goal, which is to improve our position in the World Championships. Last year, we were 15th, and we hope that this year we could approach 12th. Or even 10th, if possible. We’re going to work very hard. Liu: Yeah. Meanwhile, we will continue working on and refining the details of our programs, competition by competition. Thus, we hope we can compete our best and place as high as possible at Worlds next year.
Interviewer: How do you feel about competing at home ? [TN: Both Wang and Liu are from Changchun, where 2019 Chinese Nationals was held.] Wang: Excited! Liu: Very happy. The new season finally started! Wang: Especially because, originally, we heard that the competition was not going to be held in Changchun. We were so happy when we heard that it was relocated to Changchun. Liu: We could also go visit our family.
Interviewer: Your teammates who competed in the Club League [TN: domestic series] were so happy when they knew that you two were coming back to compete in this National Championships. Liu: Yeah, we know! Wang: When we train with them, they look up to us the way we look up to the world’s top-tier teams, with whom we train together in Montreal. They’re very admiring. Liu: Yeah, when we’re training, they’re all around the rink looking at us. We’ve also told them about some new things that we’ve learned, in order to help them improve.
