generally speaking i think the vast majority of the people who worked on spn were competent professionals who were decent (or better!) at their jobs. i am not a trained professional and know nothing about tv and i believe they are better-suited for their jobs than i am. i have very little ego to speak of. all that being said, even with the caveat that i have not seen seasons 11-15 yet, i truly believe i could have written a better spn finale. this is not a compliment to myself.

#i know the characters i could speed-read the dabb era scripts and i could talk to the cast and crew about their ideas #and even if none of that worked i could churn out a generic milquetoast happy ending #they have one last hunt and remember the shenanigans along the way #or jack powers down all the monsters and they talk about life after that #or a fucking clip show honestly.#or a series of flash-forwards with generic happy scenes #none of these are good but they are not worse than the finale #and this isn't 'i'm better than the writers' it's 'this ep was so mindbogglingly bad that a monkey with a typewriter could do better'#spn
