what is your opinion on people who from a very young age feel they are in the "wrong body" and this causes them significant distress, and they feel like this for many years, suggesting their feelings won't change - do you not feel they should be able to transition?

depends on what you mean by transition

by transition, do you mean cross dress or be gender nonconforming? absolutely, thats all fantastic.

but to answer for the rest i first have to explain that i do not believe in gender ideology or trans. the beliefs of gender ideology are spanning and inconsistent, some are contradictory, and some are more understandable than others, but i dont believe any of them. some doctors are saying trans kids can literally become biologically their desired gender if they transition young enough which is just a wild lie and ive been hearing tons of other wild lies being told by tras. so to even ask if i think its ok to transition, you have to specify to me which set of beliefs you even adhere to about trans. if you are referring specifically to surgery and hormones, given how much has been exposed about the predatory nature of these doctors providing surgeries and the danger of these surgeries and the fact tons of people have died from them and been lied to by doctors and there are even some of the most tragic brutal suicide notes ive ever read left by victims of these surgeries who were left pretty much destined to die young anyway, yeah i would say no that should not be allowed actually. im all down for body mods and everything but some of them are wildly unethical and the doctors providing them should be held accountable. they should not be getting away with what they are doing. i think the hormones are also damaging to the body, and they are also animal derived so i dont support them as an antispeciesist. when it comes to pronouns stuff i think thats fine if youd prefer to be called by certain pronouns but you shouldnt get to control people and demand it, you shouldnt get to change your sex on your PASSPORT AND BIRTH CERTIFICATE (this is dangerous for medical and legal reasons! to you and other people!) you shouldnt get to say that your experiences are the experiences of a man/woman gay/lesbian if you are not one, because you are erasing the experiences of those who are, you shouldnt be able to make sports unfair, you shouldnt be able to fuck with crime statistics (like transwoman raping women being considered female on female crime) you should not be able to violate the rules of sex segregated spaces like bathrooms prisons and rape relief centers, etc. Gender ideology is a religion, a belief system mostly based in misogyny, and sex is a reality, a reality that is attached to shit. for example men are responsible for 90-99 percent of violent and sexual crimes. we know by now there is no group of males that is safer than the rest. we thought this about priests, about teachers and sports coaches, etc, and we do not need to go through this again. i am very against religions and above all religions that push the idea that a certain group of men is safer than other men or exempt from certain criticisms and boundaries.

i believe that wrong body feeling is very likely related to autism or adhd or another form of neurodivergence, and or trauma/abuse, and that these feelings of distress can be treated in ways other than "transition". if not this, i still think there are many other very probable root causes for gender dysphoria that can be treated without transitioning or could be made worse by transitioning. if they are insistent that transitioning is the only way, then like i said, as long as they arent breaking the rules of sex segregated spaces then i dont have the right to stop them. i would want to, i would want to discourage it and recommend something else because of all the suffering i have seen gender ideology cause to its followers and non followers, and i would speak up, probably primarily out of concern for them, but i would not have the right to stop them.
