Christmas List on What I Wish for in SP S:27 next year

1.) I want the focus to be with the boys. I know I am not the only fan that is sick of the Tegridy Farms seasons. Randy is cool but not as the main character. I want to see some school drama such as crushes, the cheese touch game, role playing and more. idk I want the kids to act like kids and have fun (while of course having their games be blown out of proportion) 

2.) While I am not personally a Style shipper I have noticed that Kyle and Stan have been quite distant in the past seasons. In the End Of Obesity special Kyle rarely interacts w/ Stan, instead focusing purely on Cartman’s health and feelings. In the next season I hope Trey and Matt possibly focus on their friendship . I don’t have a clear opinion on what I want as a solution but I think some ideas would either them becoming friends again or distancing even more ( and the two trying to find new super best friends : Stan with either Tolkien, Kenny or Butters and Kyle with Cartman, Tolkien or Kenny(?) While it would be sad it would be an interesting arc for the season.

3.) I want more of the girls. I love Wendy and the other girls. While I do believe they are a little satirized (due to Matt and Trey both being guys) I do hope we could see more of them as regular 4th grade girls rather then being used as plot point for the boys to be crushing on. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the ep Bebes Boobs Destroy Society, but by just looking at the title you can tell where I am coming from. So, more girls being girls that have stories that don’t always have to link back to a crush on a boy. 

4.) OK, this one is is kinda self indulgent but I want to see Cartman be in drag again. I want Bad Irene. Bonus if Bad Irene sings a Lady Gaga song like Bad Romance or Oops I Did It Again by Britney Spears. I love that Cartman canon likes pop music and I want to see more of that in the next season.

5.) Now for this one I have actually read and seen fans have this sick headcannon and I wouldn’t mind it being cannon either. Basically, Liane and Clyde’s dad get together. Then Cartman and Clyde become like brothers. I really like this and I think it would be kewl if they argued on who was the older brother. An alternative is that instead of Clyde, Scott Tenorman starts living with Cartman. The sibling rivalry would be crazy and so funny. I think Trey and Matt could push these two on how far they could go to enact revenge. 

6.) This one may seem very random but I want a Liane Cartman backstory. I want to know what made her into the towns biggest wh*r3. She obviously must have had some traumatic event and I kinda want it to be a tragic love story. Maybe her lover was killed and she soon fell into drug abuse and selling her body. How South Park treated her and just how she started getting her redemption arc in the more recent seasons. If we’re to format this as an episode I would want it to be Liane telling Cartman a bedtime story (this is kinda an excuse to see them getting along but whateva it’s cute so idc) 

7.) I need more Kenny. PLEASE 🙏 Kenny has been sidelined for SOO LONG! Any story will do: him and butters? Awesome! Him and Cartman? Hell yeah! Him and Karen? AAAAASAAAASAAAHSHSJBEBFJDDJJDEJ PLEASE THEY’RE SO CUTEEE 💗

 8.) Sorry for the last one, ok but talking about more focus on character’s, I kinda want a focus on the pets. Y’ know like Sparky, Mr Kitty and Kyle’s Elephant that did it with Cartman’s pig (that ep was … something to say the least) Anyways, I love the pets they are cute and I want more, thank you (and Craig’s Guinea pig  Stripes) 

9.) Lore drops from characters will be awesome. Like, it dosent just have to be Liane (as I mentioned before) I wouldn’t mind an ep on how Gerald and Sheila fell in love, it would be a really cute nerd x girl boss storyline

10.) …jersey kyle. IDK, Kyle being a brash, loud asshole is straight gold. I need him to snap and start calling everyone muff  cabbage (+ jersey kyle meets bad Irene and he falls head over heels… WHO SAID THAT??) 

Anyways that’s my list. I actually really hope other people do this trend to cause I wanna see what good ideas or wants y’all want from season 27 >:)

Merry Christmas everyone!

In the spirit of the holiday, I drew my latest hyperfixation character (Silver) as the Nutcracker Prince with my OC Rebecca as Clara.

I also drew an alternate version with Ethan/Gold for the precious metal shippers.

There’s two of each, one with and one without the mask to represent the transformation.

If this were a full production, I can imagine Team Rocket playing the rats (with rattata ears and tails) and Giovanni or Archer as the Rat King.

The older sibling would be played by Kris or Bridget (who is Rebecca’s older sister) and the younger sibling would be either Lyra or Sparky (Rebecca’s pet Yamper).

Ooh I have to ask, Elizabeth/Daniel? I'm team Sparky all the way but I do also kinda ship those two (and kinda enjoy imagining John's jealousy when Daniel's on Atlantis and he and Eliz inevitably geek out about the Ancients 😏)

first things that come to mind when i think about that duo:

they have conversations in latin and/or ancient

they have hour long discussions whether this word that they found in a text means "to sleep" or "have sex" or maybe "get drunk"?

Daniel asks a million questions about various of her diplomatic missions for the UN while Elizabeth wants to know everything about his personal experiences with each and every alien civilization he met, even though she read all the reports.

they 100% geek out about the ancients and all the other cool things that they've experienced over the course of the years and it's adorable. They probably wouldn't get a lot of stuff done other than that if you catch my drift ;)

I think they would disappear for hours or maybe even days at the time and everyone on the base would be like o.0 what kind of thing do they have going on??? and when they show up again completely decaffeinated, dehydrated and hungry it turns out that they found a new room with writings all over the walls instead of in a database and they forgot the time there

that being said, i think they would have a lot of fun together, i think they are both fascinated by the other, by their work, and love to hear the other talk about things they are excited about, it's very wholesome. I think in one of their late night sessions it could happen that they realize just how fond they are of each other and how much they appreciate spending time together and learn from each other and something happens between them

I don't think either of them would see it coming, it would be kind of an "oh" moment for both of them. And probably even during they would be like "this is unexpected but it... works? so better not question it". If something happened I think Elizabeth would be the one to initiate it <3

The first character I first fell in love with: Jackson obviously.

The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: I think Frankie! Since she’s the protagonist, I thought she’d be blander, but I was very pleasantly surprised she has a personality, and that it is “nerd”.

The character everyone else loves that I don’t: I just don’t get the Kieran hype. I don’t care that he’s been redeemed or that he’s hot... to me he’s just Some Guy.

The character I love that everyone else hates: Probably Neightan, but thankfully people are more normal about him now. Also Frankie. People think she’s boring for no reason like... did we watch the same cartoon?

The character I used to love but don’t any longer: None, really.

The character I would totally smooch: Definitely Sparky (since he’s, um, one of the few adult characters of the franchise).

The character I’d want to be like: Jackson and Holt give me immense levels of gender envy.

The character I’d slap: Manny, but then again, he’s like, fifteen.

Hoo boy. That argument again.

Okay, first of all, nobody has to like Zutara. Enemies to lovers (or, more accurately for Zutara, enemies to friends to lovers) is a trope that doesn't appeal to everyone, and that's fine.

But that does not make it immoral to ship pairings like Zutara. There's nothing inherently wrong with enemies to lovers, and while there probably are enemies to lovers ships out there that would make me uncomfortable, that comes down to the execution more than the ship itself, and... it's still fiction. Last I checked, enjoying murder mysteries doesn't mean that you condone murder. Tastes in fiction =/= real life morality.

As far as Zutara in specific goes, the argument that it could never work "because he's her oppressor" is just... nonsense. I'm going to try to organize this based on arguments I've seen so I don't just ramble for several thousand words, so here goes:

Zuko was her colonizer: No. The Water Tribes were never colonized. The Fire Nation never established settlements in the Water Tribes' territories. They raided the Southern Tribe and captured and killed some of its members, which is obviously horrible, but the Fire Nation never had a lasting presence in any of the Water Tribes ('any' because there's technically 3 tribes and the Foggy Swamp was untouched). Words have meanings, and... that's not what colonization means. Colonization could be a stronger argument against a Zuko/Earth Kingdom character ship since colonization DID happen there, except for a l'il issue I'll get to in a minute.

Zuko participated in a genocide against her people: Okay, while genocide is a more accurate term for what happened to Katara's tribe, this argument (and the previous one too) really falls apart at the "Zuko participated" bit. The Fire Nation committed a gradual, partial genocide of the Southern Water Tribe via raids on its villages. And the last raid happened when Katara was eight years old. At that time, Zuko was ten. At the age of ten, Zuko wasn't involved in any of the Fire Nation's actions anywhere in the world. At the age of ten, Zuko was still so far out of the line of succession for the throne (behind Iroh, Lu Ten, and Ozai) that he didn't have any real prospect of ever being able to make decisions for the nation's actions. And the first time Zuko personally had any interaction with Katara's tribe? He ran his ship through a wall, knocked Sokka over, grabbed Kanna by the coat, yelled a little bit, made a few threats... and then left without doing any further damage. So not great, but also not playing into his nation's attempts at genocide. And Zuko got comeuppance for all those things from the Gaang when they were trying to get Aang out: Zuko broke the ice wall, then Aang wrecked Zuko's ship. Zuko knocked Sokka over, then Sokka returned the favor. A few times. And Zuko grabbed Kanna, then Katara froze a bunch of Zuko's crewmen solid. Despite being wildly underpowered, the Gaang gave as good as they got.

Zuko attempted to kill the Gaang: Again, just no. Seriously, in all the time he was chasing the Gaang, he never once tried to kill anyone. Not killing was his whole deal. That's how he got banished. The kid literally tried to save Zhao, the man who tried to blow Zuko up. Capturing and killing are two very different things. Hiring Sparky Sparky Boom Man is the only exception to Zuko's no-killing thing in the entire show, and that whole plot point is just bad and wildly OOC, so I'm not going to talk about that right now.

Zuko abused Katara: There's a difference between abuse and fighting as enemies on opposite sides of a war. Hurting Katara, gaining power over Katara was never Zuko's goal. He wanted to capture Aang, and he fought anyone who stood in his way. Katara's goal was to protect Aang, and she likewise fought anyone who stood in the way. And on top of that, Zuko never caused Katara any significant harm. He tied her to a tree and tried to negotiate with her. Guess what? The first time the Gaang had the opportunity, they tied Zuko up (after seriously considering leaving him for dead). He knocked Katara unconscious. Then, the very next time they faced each other, she knocked him unconscious. That's... pretty much it. Neither of them was a victim of the other, they were enemies who fought one equal terms.

And ALL of those arguments completely disregard Zuko's redemption and the subsequent friendship between him and Katara. Zuko openly rejected his father and all his nation's actions and teachings. He changed sides in the war with the intention of stopping the harm that his people were doing to the world. He taught Aang, helped rescue Hakoda and Suki from prison, saved Katara from being crushed to death, and helped her find and confront the man who killed her mother. And Katara forgave him for everything. They became friends. But Zuko didn't stop there. He fought Azula on his own to keep Katara safe, threw himself in front of lightning to save her life again, and then, at the age of sixteen, dedicated the rest of his life to dismantling and reversing all the harm his nation had done over the past hundred years.

Zuko was never an oppressor in the way antis like to claim, but even if he had been, the fact that he saw the error of his ways at the age of sixteen and then spent the rest of his life trying to fix not only his own personal wrongs, but those committed by his nation (and many of which happened before he was even born) says a lot. And acting as though his fight to change things for the better (and his close canon friendship with Katara) doesn't matter because he happened to be born to the royal family on the wrong side of the war is incredibly reductive.

Like I said before, no one is obligated to ship Zutara. No one is obligated to like Zutara. And there's nothing wrong with people being uncomfortable with the pairing for their own personal reasons. But that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with the ship or those of us who enjoy it. Suggesting otherwise undermines the validity of interracial relationships in general, and I would strongly suggest blocking anyone who argues that there is something inherently wrong with shipping Zutara.

PS: I'm not indigenous, but I do know several Zutara shippers who are. There may be some indigenous people who find Zutara uncomfortable, but it's in no way a universal opinion.

Who are some of your favorite blogs?

Well, @omegasmileyface is at the top since they’re the reason I am on this hellsite at all and they have good taste in reblogs. They’re a good artist and their enthusiasm for basically everything  is contagious.  (also they’re quite an amazing friend) 

Second is probably @biggest-gaudiest-patronuses because they’re wonderfully cursed and honestly a role model. I hope to get a sense of humor as good as theirs someday.  After that there’s no particular order since I’m bad at organizing.  @sparky-sideblog​ has really good art, especially in regards to hands and ~Romance~. It is turning me into a shipper and I have mixed feelings about that. Also it’s  a Homestuck like me and a fairly regular source of content. 

@yugoooooooo also has good taste in reblogs and accounts for a large portion of my dash. Another fellow Homestuck. 

There’s a group of Eddsworld blogs that I follow but they’re all pretty equal and also there’s a lot of them to list. So you guys know who you are sorry for not tagging. 

@particlemilk has some really good original posts, and also reblogs lots of useful stuff. Je’s also really friendly and a pleasant person to be around. 

@thneedle-thoup is a really skilled cosplayer and also makes comedic tiktoks which I can’t stop watching. She’s writing a paper on The Lorax (2012) which sounds really fascinating based on the posts she’s made about it. Cringe culture is dead and she killed it. 

@aspenoodles is a very friendly outgoing person and I hope to be more like that. Also a friend.

so buckle in, folks, cause this is gonna be one heck of a ride. 

What got you into self inserting? Was it something you’ve always done, or something you were inspired to do?: i have. basically been self-shipping my entire life. okay, not really, but since around age 6, aka when I got totally and completely obsessed with monsters inc. and felt the need to Be There and Experience Monsters on a Personal Level so strongly that I created a little glowing, furry octopus-thing and made it roommates with mike and sully. and thus, it began. the next s/i i clearly remember making was sparki, a very very self-indulgent mario bros. koopa-dragon oc, at around age 10 or 11. so, a bit of a gap there, not sure what I was doing in the meantime, but hey. it took a few more years to finally figure out that it was a thing other people did, and a few more years to figure out that there was a community for it, but I’m so grateful i did! 

For some of us, aesthetic is key. Do you have a theme or an aesthetic for your self insert content (Please do not include ships/FOs!)?: honestly, depends on which one! for some I have some very obvious themes going (e.g. soul eater with blues, purples and dragons) but for others it’s less obvious. i like to think my content overall sort of has the same feel as an urban fantasy novel set in a big city: flashy and exciting, but also makes you want to find out more. does that make sense? prolly not.

What’s your favourite way of self inserting? Do you like to write, or draw, or make content via other means?: the main way i self insert is through drawing. art has been a stress reliever for me for many years, and i love sharing my art with the community!! i also tend to write, but am still a bit shy abt sharing my writing online. hopefully that may change!

Friends are very important. Have you made any friends within the community?: HECK YEAH I HAVE! i’m still relatively small in the selfship community, since i only created this blog at the beginning of this year, but i have met some wonderful people selfshipping and i’m so grateful for them for helping me have a super positive experience in the community so far!! thank you guys! i love you!

So,some time after the gang meets the Freeside and Vegas dwellers,Stripe and Sparky get kidnapped {petnapped?} by some Freeside thugs/raiders.Max,along with Craig,Kenny and Scott {weird choice I know} go on a mission to track them down and save the animals.Originally Max wanted to go on his own.He didn’t mention it to anyone else.When everyone was asleep,he snuck out to go get the animals back.To his surprise he found Craig sneaking out on the same mission.”Are you fucking kidding me?” is all Craig could say when the duo stumble into Scott,who was just patrolling the area before heading to bed and Kenny,who was smoking outside {and checking out the Vegas ladies}.They couldn’t lie,and so the four went on the mission.It was a good thing Scott was with them,because with his tracking skills,he tracked the raiders to a building on the outskirts of Westside.They took the truck just because there were some Vegas brats trying to graffiti it,and to ram into the door if it was needed.Long story short,they find out it’s an underground dog fighting ring,with one or two animals mixed in between.They saved Sparky and Stripe,met Hunter and found Rex,Clyde’s dog who has been lost for a few months.They got most of the dogs on the truck and took them to a sanctuary outside Novac,which took the whole night.Tired,Max decided that the whole crew has an off day,where everyone can go do what they want to,whether it be giving the truck a new paint job and fixing it up or getting some treats for the pets.{One can expect a oneshot of this in the future}

I find it funny that Gregory was given the role of Daniel and Christophe the role of Joshua {Honest hearts},since Christophe has a huge thing against God,while Joshua is pretty religious.

Independant Vegas here we come

Stan and Wendy were together for a good 3 or 4 years before making the decision to remain best friends.There’s a whole story behind that,but,that’s for another time.These two would literally die for each other.

Some religions managed to stay alive for 200 years.There are new ones too…some are just really weird,like for example,the Children of Atom.

Can you believe Kyle’s mom sent her kids off to boot camp and became the leader and bartender in a little ghost town?

Will Craig ‘n Tweek eventually have their wedding? Absolutely

Max has amnesia from the shots to the head,but,as his journey continues,he starts remembering more,like his past.Why his parents sent away to be a courier,why they didn’t even bother to go look for him,why the Divide got blown to bits.

It’s not clear what Terrance and Phillip’s roles are gonna be.Maybe they should lead the Khans.

Kenny and Stan have a drinking contest while in Jacobstown and Stan manages it better than Kenny.The townspeople asked the crew to remove Kenny from the town.

Wendy has in fact,beaten up a deathclaw.

The siblings of the characters also make their appearances,all in different locations.Ike almost always follows after Kyle,so he’s part of the crew {the main crew,who travels the wastes with Max}.

Ike tried to help Christophe get over his fear of dogs.It was partially successful.

Another Ike one - Ike has a penpal.He writes letters to this penpal when he’s not training.Little does he know,it’s Firkle.He discovers this while the crew’s in Jacobstown.

Some alternate outfits for the crew have parts from their superhero/humans ‘n elves costumes.

Yo; It’s been a while since I’ve put up a roleplay ad, but since most of the ones I’d been continuously replying to sort of gradually stopped communicating with me (Which isn’t a terrible thing, I just want to write), and I’ve gotten into a few more subjects and fandoms since my last post, I’m gonna say fuck it, we’re doin’ it again. Cutting straight to one of the most important information pieces; I’m nineteen years old. I’ve seen a lot of ads requesting ages 21+, so I just wanted to make it clear that I’m legal, but If you prefer drinking age and above for any reason, I am unfortunately not your gal. Otherwise, I wish I didn’t have an age limit to roleplay partners, but since I do enjoy putting smut and adult themes into my roleplays, whether it be PWP or into a long-term story, I’m gonna have to set the bar at 18, or above.

Age rules aside, I'm lookin’ for three categories of roleplays, all completely chill with me;

I’ve got quite a fuckin bit of fandoms for this one; most of my roleplays, in all my 7+ years of experience, have been canon/oc-- It’s just plain enjoyable to me, creating characters you get attached to and pairing them up with characters you’re already attached to. I really love seeing everyone’s different portrayals on characters they make, as well; who they’re compatible with and all the like. It’s pretty safe to say I’ll probably be doodling a lot from whatever we end up creating; I’m a fervent shipper.

I’m up for a really nice and intricate long-term plot with character development just as much as a PWP short-term, so contact me for either at any time; even if you want to start up a long-term and later in decide you’d like to create a short-term on the side. I’m a flexible roleplayer, I love everything. And that includes kinks, too, so if you wanna throw an idea out in the character-bedroom, than shoot for it, there’s a pretty much 100% chance I won’t turn down anything you offer, as long as it isn’t mpreg. Nothing against you if you like it, you do you-- just not my cup of tea. Double-up isn’t limited to two characters on each side, either; I love adding in side characters and such, so we don’t just have to play two characters each and that’s it. Well its not evil, but I think where some people come from is that they felt last season her not taking no for an answer was really appalling especially as we as a society talk about consent and what isn't okay/toeing the lines.

Last season there were moments where even when Harry said no to her she still touched or even attempted to kiss him (ex: when she got his neck that one time and) after he clearly stated no.

And thats pretty bad on its own, but I think some (not all) could say well Macy and Harry weren't officially a couple and Harry was sending mixed messages about whether actually wanted to be with abby or not.

In the most recent moment, Harry an Macy are together and Harry made it clear that he is with Macy and committed to that because it is something that is on his mind. So her continued advances no longer have that whole "well it is a love triangle" excuse anymore.

I think an issue with abby's flirting, not just with Harry but in general, is that we know that the recipients are not okay with it most of the time or they are in relationships.

Unlike similar types of flirtatious characters--i always fall back onto supernatural--like Crowley or Rowena Abby has shown to cross the line and the recipients unwilling to flirtatious back jokingly or spiteful like we would see from a Dean type character.

Again, I think this falls on the writers failing to really think through thier decisions. Abby being flirty (if she had never crossed that line last season) wouldn't be so bad especially if it had been established as part of her character.

But if we are honest it really wasn't. Sparky was for sure established and even decisively sweet. But the aggressive flirting and advances/insinuations weren't established outside of her flirtations while either apart of a love triangle or forcing Jordan to help her in someway.

I would argue that she also has flirted with Mel towards the end of season 2 and this season so there is an attempting being made to establish this side of her more firmly. But given last season and that history, its understandable how people can feel triggered by her flirting again with Harry.

Its not right given what they writers did in the past. I was hard core eye rolling because it was so unnecessary and felt predator and stupid given the characters history.

Abby is the queen of snark for me and I like the snarkiness bu felt everything the writers have her flirt they really are making her unlikable because the situation isn't right.

The only time I personally found her flirting to be "necessary" was last season when she told Mel that she might make her "bi-magical" it felt clever, non aggressive (given that Harry was in a different situation and told her no, but Mel and her we more bantering).

That said, I also felt it was unnecessary because if the writers are trying to make Abby go through a change of heart and have her feel rejected, she didn't need to get rejected by Harry again. And for sure she could have stuck to snark rather than flirt and it still be in character.

Anyways thats just a few reasons. I am sure there are simpler pettier reasons like shippers not wanting a ship threatened again. But I get it and I feel that again its the writers messing up again and not being sensitive to the rest of the audience.

I think if this where another show with a different audience and non poc leads Abby would get more love and less hate, but race and gender dynamics are real and the writers should be more sensitive the the entire context of the show and the history they established in past seasons. Otherwise they will continue to make mistakes.

And the on the other hand, there will be those who will never forgive the character for previous writing pitfalls and insensitivity and so everything she does moving forward is going to be disliked.

Because of how Charmed rebooted itself for season 2 and how it has shifted vibes for season 3 i try to just give everyone and thing (writing wise) a pass. Like that was last season so let's see if things are better or make more sense next season.

I will say again that Abby's behavior and flirting is problematic based on you views on the situations it occurs and that can be heavily influenced by different perspectives so don't think anyone is a terrible person if they don't see it as such. I think we could also compare her behavior to a number of characters across different mediums and find they are similar so really its all depends on what you are looking at.

People are really acting like Abigael hitting on Harry again was something that is absolutely horrible and I just ... don’t understand. It was annoying for sure but it’s truly not that deep in itself really. It’s nothing evil. I know some people don’t like her and that’s ok but it also doesn’t mean everything she does is the end of the world. I promise sometimes it’s just not that deep.

ATLA Highlights

Okay so things I really feel are underappreciated in ATLA are as follows: 

{[(This is a long post so read under the cut)]}

Season One

-When Sokka implies that being an optimist makes you a liar (as a cynic/realist I found this hilarious)

-When Sokka gets his ass handed to him by the Kyoshi warriors and is super sexist but then realizes he’s wrong and apologizes all in one episode (that's growth and we love to see it)

-Zuko breaking into a fortress undetected (sneaking back out not so much but kudos for trying lol)

-Katara being a thief (seriously though stealing from pirates is cool)

-Katara fighting Master Pakku  (seriously he’s a master and she’s been bending for how long? like two weeks? fucking amazing)

-Zuko diving in after the turtle seals because obviously they have to come up for air somewhere (but dude, how long can they hold their breath for? you’re working under the assumption that you can hold your breath as long as they can? in freezing cold water? in something that doesn’t help keep out the water or the cold? while moving? he, in this moment establishes that he is a bad ass (and persistent) motherfucker)

-Zuko dragging all of Aang’s dead weight a couple of miles through a blizzard (presumably while still soaking wet from his trip through ice cold fucker water)

-Zhao being killed by a vindictive La is everything honestly (why Zuko tried to save him is beyond me (I suppose that this established that he is a compassionate person despite his intentions and words))

Season Two

-The hippie nomads were funny (and very irritating)

-King Bumi (everything about him)

-Toph (enough said)

-The entire Zuko Alone episode (my poor angry baby)

-Foo Foo Cuddlypoops

-Wan Shi Tong’s library is what I imagine The Library of Alexandria to look like in this world

-Sokka continues to impress with his strategist mentality in The Drill

-The City of Walls and Secrets is a horrifying episode that I somehow manage to forget every time and very much regret rediscovering

-The entire Tales of Ba Sing Se episode

-Katara and Toph having a spa day is so wholesome (and the fact that they put those snobby noble girls in their place is just an added bonus)

-Iroh coaching those boys on how to face consequences like an upstanding citizen (and how to run away from the consequences when the consequence can crush you like a soda can) | Iroh teaching the would-be-robber how to properly mug someone is hilarious (also good on him for wanting to pursue a career as a masseur | Iroh being knowledgeable on flowers and spreading that knowledge to others, and singing to the fussy baby is sweet | Lu Ten’s birthday segment always make me cry (and if you tell me you don’t cry at that scene I will call you a liar, don’t at me)

-Sokka being surprisingly good at Haiku poems (yay for bonus character depth)

-Aang letting wild animals loose in the city is fucking hilarious (the fact that all the domestic animals ended up in his makeshift zoo just adds to that)

-Zuko’s (valid if not somewhat awful) attempt at dating (Iroh why did you do that to his hair, why?!)

-Momo bonding with the pygmy pumas after freeing them is so wholesome (and the pygmy pumas leading Momo to Appa’s footprint was amazing too)

-Zuko freeing Appa

-(yay for the Earth King finding a spine)

-(of all the godforsaken food combinations why banana and onion juice, that sounds like a pregnancy craving if I ever heard one)

-The catacomb scene with Katara and Zuko (was the beginning of my descent into shipper hell)

-You were this 👌 close Zuko, why did you do that? (what happened to Azula always lies)

Season Three

-Aang going to school like a normal twelve year old (why would you make up words to an anthem you don’t know? instead of just not talking which is far less noticeable that getting it wrong? (also getting into fights on your second day is bad Aang (but Katara and Sokka pretending to be his parents is funny, I wonder if it was awkward for them? I imagine it was)))

-Katara continuing to be a bad ass motherfucker in The Painted Lady

-Sokka in Sokka’s Master was monumental for Sokka’s character growth, I really don’t feel the need to add anything to it, the episode speaks for itself

-The Beach is (for me at least) the cringiest fucking episode like jfc how did this get past everyone (the writers had to get this past editing, producers, directors, animation department, and the sound department, and for some reason no one saw anything wrong with any of it (”I don’t hate you”, “I don’t hate you too” and then they kiss, like for fuck’s sake man how?!))

-(also Zuko, jealousy is an ugly look on everyone, you’re not exempt from that)

-(sparky sparky boom man, really Sokka, that’s what you’re going with?)

-The Puppetmaster was another horrifying episode (cool but horrifying, like thanks I hate it)

-(I’m going to reiterate the point that all of us having been making for years... why the fuck are the adults letting children fight their battles? who does that? like ‘oh I’m fourteen and ready to fight in a war that I am wholly unprepared for’ like I don’t fucking think so, go sit your ass down in a corner somewhere and color or something)

-(Aang kissing people when you think you might die is cliche)

-(Zuko breaking up with someone in a letter is the modern equivalent of breaking up over text (which is a shitty thing to do))

-Toph inventing metal bending is the most bad ass thing I’ve ever seen

-(hooray Zuko, for standing up for yourself to your father though, I’m proud of you)

-(Iroh breaking out of a max security prison is fucking bad ass)

-Zuko making that speech to the frog was priceless honestly (he’s so awkward it’s adorable)

-Toph being the only pragmatic person in the group

-(”why am I so bad at being good?!”)

-(pettiness isn’t a good look on anyone Katara (says the pettiest person on the planet))

-The Firebending Masters was a very cool (du du tssss) episode (like visually speaking)

-Iroh and Zuko’s tearful reunion is so heartwarming

-Lion Turtles are fucking amazing and I want like eight of them

-Azula’s descent into madness is both revealing and sad

-Sokka, Suki, and Toph on the airship is amazing (airship slice!)

-The Agni Kai between Azula and Zuko is one of the greatest fucking scenes in cinematographic history, the graphics are truly awe inspiring (no I will not be taking any criticism at this time nor is this open to debate)

-The scene on the airship with Sokka and Toph is honestly so gut wrenching | like when they fall and Sokka breaks his leg and he catches Toph with one arm while on his back looks so painful | and when he throws his boomerang and sword but then more fire benders come rushing out and Toph starts slipping and they’re both crying (like goddamn it would be less painful to just rip my heart out and stomp on it)

-Aang in the avatar state is (visually speaking) really awesome

-When Zuko dives in front of the lightning to save Katara (him shouting no like that kills me) | The fact that Katara immediately tries to rush to Zuko (even though Azula was standing right there also kills me)

-Katara defeating Azula (who is at her most powerful, along with every other fire bender) proves that she truly is a master and in a league all her own

-Azula after her defeat was heart wrenching to watch (what did Ozai do to you Azula?)

-(Katara crying over Zuko as she heals him)

-Aang defeating Ozai by taking his bending away is amazing (seriously, spirit bending is cool)

-Azula for being a monster (even if I really (heavily) blame Ozai)

-Ozai for being the shittiest dad in the whole world (though admittedly his father was worse for wanting him kill his own son (then again the fact that he was absolutely and without hesitation willing to do so makes him even worse so never mind))

-(Zuko what on earth made you pick Mai as someone you wanted to date? who told you that was a good idea? cause they lied)

-Aang, when someone says they’re confused that is not the time to kiss them, I don’t care that he’s only twelve that is a shitty move (and you’re not allowed to be upset when you’re rejected either (that makes you even shittier))

-Also Aang had absolutely no character growth or development whatsoever in this series (don’t at me, I love Aang, but he didn’t grow as a person, like at all) | Aang on a consistent basis runs away from things that are difficult or that upset him | Aang thinks he’s entitled to people (no, just because you’re the avatar doesn’t mean anyone owes you their affection, attention, or their time) | Aang never learned how to face his demons head on (him learning spirit bending was just a cop out so Aang could stay this “perfect and pure child” with all his innocence and naiveté in tact), but that’s not how the real world works (sometimes you have to do hard things that you don’t like or agree with, life isn’t always fair.)

TL;DR

Avatar: The Last Airbender was a staple of my childhood that I love dearly. And though there are faults (personally for me they were faults, this won’t be the case for everyone obviously), it was a key foundation of my sense of self, like I’m sure it was for so many others.
