A bit of a rant, but I've already seen certain Sims 4 players talking about "how corrupted The Sims 2 is" and how "some players have already experienced game corruption". That wouldn't be too bad, because we are already used to this, but then you see people LAUGHING at the fact that *most* corruption is actually a myth and that the game isn't that easily breakable and saying that's not true.

I am baffled. So many talented modders, who know about how the code works more than the average simmer, have already talked about this. They've been digging into it for months, even years, so I'd assume we should take their findings into account instead of dismissing them just because you think every single thing that happens in your game is "corruption". STOP spreading misinformation just to make the game look bad.

Y'know. Imma just come out and say it while it's fresh on my mind; RAW has been doing so good imo, I don't know why corporate is making a, again imo, stupid opinion to go to two hours.

RAW's roster is stacked and Smackdown already suffers a lot from it's runtime/star power ratio. I can't see them fitting the storylines they have now with the same quality into an hour-shorter show.

Also, chosing the RAW immediately after a PLE to do the time change when the shows immediately before/after tend to be some of the most high energy is...Certainly a choice.

Unless Netflix has little to no commercials, I just cannot see this working.

seeing stuff like this honestly scares me. i'm a trans person (something i don't like telling people but feel is necessary in this case) and this isn't how things should go. i think that anyone who is in a minority can agree that, at some point, we've thought "i wish the roles were reversed. i wish THEY had to deal with what i deal with," but those of us with logic would acknowledge that this gets us virtually nowhere.

posts like this, even joking ones, set us back. transphobes will see this, take it seriously and weaponise this mindset against the trans community, another reason we're inherently wrong and need fixing. this type of post feeds an us vs them mindset. fight fire with fire and the whole world burns, same with hate against hate, prejudice against prejudice and vitriol against vitriol. we don't have to stoop down to the level of transphobes and not all cis people are transphobes (not all men, i know, i see the parallels).

all this to say, can't we all just be friends and not other ourselves further? can't we waste energy trying to convince people to love us rather than wasting energy telling people we hate them? maybe i'm too young and naïve to understand, my only goal with this is to grow up in a world (could end the sentence there, honestly) free of hate.

seriously though, we can't let ourselves tie our community identity so directly to this trauma. we can't associate "real transgender" with "hollowness", no matter how tempting it is. being trans isn't about the trauma of transphobia, it's about the joy and comfort and love.

OP, i know you didn't mean to imply that this trauma is necessary to be "really trans", but this is the sort of thing that, just a few years ago, would have made me feel worse for being loud, would have instilled the same hollowness it laments. a crab in a bucket holds no malice to the other crabs, but it still pulls them down. we're smarter than crabs. i promise it's possible to be trans, to sound trans, and still be loud and joyful. i love you. cackle like a witch.

I think so many people are so deeply alienated from themselves that they have no clue how to exercise their free will and autonomy. For some, this alienation runs so deep that they are afraid of their own autonomy and humanity. It is completely understandable why one would have those feelings, but it can be worrisome.

I want to help others who feel this way, so here are small things I have done to exercise my free will:

Add "guilty pleasure" songs to playlists and actually listen to them (I have a ton of late 1990s-early 2000s music I listen to now proudly that I never listened to in the past out of shame)

Getting the décor item, bath set, bed spread, ect. in the patterns you like, even if it's "childish" (I got a dinosaur-themed wastebasket from the kids' décor section and I adore it)

Taking a new route to get to a place you go to often

Eat dessert first

Celebrate well, and often

Collect things that are "odd" or don't seem like an "acceptable" thing to collect (somebody on my "for you" page collects dandelion crayola crayons and it was so cool!!!!!!)

Incorporate one new piece in an outfit you wear frequently (e.g., a new chain, a necklace, ribbons, bracelets, ect.). Challenge yourself to add onto the outfits if you feel up for it.

Sing along to songs without worrying that you sound "good" or your intonation is completely accurate

Read a book from a genre you weren't allowed to read as a kid (comics, thrillers, mysteries, anything!)

Walk without having a specific destination or goal

Pick up a new craft without expecting yourself to master it or to ever be "good" enough. Get your hands messy.

I don't want to shame anybody for not feeling as though they have free will or that they are exempt from exercising it. However, I wanted to give ideas so that you might read this list and find your own ways to express your intrinsic autonomy and will. You deserve to be a person, to feel alive, not just living. That is what our lives are for.
